On Nash theory of gravity with matter contents

Although it was proved that the Nash theory doesn't have classical Einstein limits, it has been proven to be formally divergent free and considered to be of interest in constructing theories of quantum gravity. The original Nash gravity without matter contents can't explain the current accelerated expansion of the Universe. A possible extension of theory is by adding some matter contents to the model. In this work, we generalize the Nash theory of gravity by adding the matter fields. In order to examine the effects of this generalization, we first derive the equations of motion in the flat FLRW spacetime and examine the behaviors of the solutions by invoking specific forms of the Hubble parameter. We also classify the physical behaviors of the solutions by employing the stability analysis and check the consistency of the model by considering particular cosmological parameters.

Real Classical Geometry with arbitrary deficit parameter(s) $α(_{I})$ in Deformed Jackiw-Teitelboim Gravity

An interesting deformation of the Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) gravity has been proposed by Witten by adding a potential term $U(ϕ)$ as a self-coupling of the scalar dilaton field. During calculating the path integral over fields, a constraint comes from integration over $ϕ$ as $R(x)+2=2αδ(\vec{x}-\vec{x}')$. The resulting Euclidean metric suffered from a conical singularity at $\vec{x}=\vec{x}'$. A possible geometry modeled locally in polar coordinates $(r,φ)$ by $ds^2=dr^2+r^2dφ^2,φ\cong φ+2π-α$. In this letter we showed that there exists another family of "exact" geometries for arbitrary values of the $α$. A pair of exact solutions are found for the case of $α=0$. One represents the static patch of the AdS and the other one is the non static patch of the AdS metric. These solutions were used to construct the Green function for the inhomogeneous model with $α\neq 0$. We address a type of the phase transition between different patches of the AdS in theory because of the discontinuity in the first derivative of the metric at $x=x'$. We extended the study to the exact space of metrics satisfying the constraint $R(x)+2=2\sum_{i=1}^{k}α_iδ^{(2)}(x-x'_i)$ as a modulo diffeomorphisms for an arbitrary set of the deficit parameters $(α_1,α_2,..,α_k)$. The space is the moduli space of Riemann surfaces of genus $g$ with $k$ conical singularities located at $x'_k$ denoted by $\mathcal{M}_{g,k}$.

Unrivaled Quantum Vacuum in the Primordial Universe

In a primordial universe pre(post)-inflationary era , there could be phases of early universe made of cold gas baryons, radiation and early post inflationary cosmological constant. I showed that in the baryonic epoch, the quantum vacuum is unique. By using the standard quantization scheme for a massive minimally coupled scalar field with maximal conformal symmetry in the classical spacetime, I demonstrated that the scalar modes had an effective mass $m_{eff}^2\approx 0$ (or $m_{eff}^2\approx constant$). This argument validated when the conformal time $η$ kept so close to the inflation ending time $η=η_c$. The energy density of the baryonic matter diverged at the inflation border and vanishes at the late time future. Furthermore I argued that at very early accelerating epoch when the radiation was the dominant part in the close competition with the early time cosmological constant, fine tuned mass of the scalar field $m\propto \sqrtΛ$ also provided a unique quantum vacuum. The reason is that the effective mass eventually is vanished. A remarkable observation was that all the other possible vacuum states "squeezed" eternally.

Bose-Einstein Condensation for an Exponential Density of States Function and Lerch Zeta Function

I show how Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) in a non interacting bosonic system with exponential density of states function yields to a new class of Lerch zeta functions. By looking on the critical temperature, I suggest that a possible strategy to prove the "Riemann hypothesis" problem. In a theorem and a lemma I suggested that the classical limit $\hbar\to 0$ of BEC can be used as a tool to find zeros of real part of the Riemann zeta function with complex argument. It reduces the Riemann hypothesis to a softer form. Furthermore I propose a pair of creation-annihilation operators for BEC phenomena. This set of creation-annihilation operators is defined on a complex Hilbert space. They build a set up to interpret this type of BEC as a creation-annihilation phenomenon for a virtual hypothetical particle.

Covariant Quantum-Mechanical Scattering via Stueckelberg-Horwitz-Piron Theory

Based on the Stueckelberg-Horwitz-Piron theory of covariant quantum mechanics on curved spacetime, we solved wave equation for a charged covariant harmonic oscillator in the background of charged static spherically symmetric black hole. Using Greens functions , we found asymptotic form for the wave function in the lowest mode (s-mode) and in higher moments. It has been proven that for s-wave, in a definite range of solid angles, the differential cross section depends effectively to the magnetic and electric charges of the black hole.

On gravitational wave modes in Nash theory of gravity

In this Letter, we consider original Nash theory of gravity. In terms of the scalar fields representation, Nash gravity is equivalent to the action of bi-scalar tensor gravity with four derivative terms of metric tensor. We then quantify the ghost in the theory. In order to study the gravitational wave modes of the theory, we perform a small perturbation over a fixed Minkowski background. We discover the standard wave equation and obtain the solutions as those of the standard general relativity. In order to satisfy the GR in the weak field limit, we further modify the original Nash theory by adding the Einstein-Hibert term called modified Nash gravity. In this theory, we once study the gravitational wave modes. We derive equations of motion and examine the solutions. We discover the two-mode solutions: the massless graviton and the massive one. Using a uniform prior probability on the graviton mass, we can constrain mass parameter.

Quantum Information metric for time-dependent quantum systems and higher-order corrections

It is well established that quantum criticality is one of the most intriguing phenomena which signals the presence of new states of matter. Without prior knowledge of the local order parameter, the quantum information metric (or fidelity susceptibility) can indicate the presence of a phase transition as well as it measures distance between quantum states. In this work, we calculate the distance between quantum states which is equal to the fidelity susceptibility in quantum model for a time-dependent system describing a two-level atom coupled to a time-driven external field. As inspired by the Landau-Zener quantum model, we find in the present work information metric induced by fidelity susceptibility. We, for the first time, derive a higher-order rank-3 tensor as a third-order fidelity susceptibility. Having computed quantum noise function in this simple time-dependent model we show that the noise function eternally lasts long in our model.

Universality of Short Distance Corrections to Quantum Optics

As quantum optical phenomena are based on Maxwell's equations, and it is becoming important to understand quantum optical phenomena at short distances, so it is important to analyze quantum optics using short distance corrected Maxwell's equation. Maxwell's action can be obtained from quantum electrodynamics using the framework of effective field theory, and so the leading order short distance corrections to Maxwell's action can also be obtained from the derivative expansion of the same effective field theory. Such short distance corrections will be universal for all quantum optical systems, and they will effect all short distance quantum optical phenomena. In this paper, we will analyze the form of such corrections, and demonstrate the standard formalism of quantum optics can still be used (with suitable modifications), to analyze quantum optical phenomena from this short distance corrected Maxwell's actions.

Dynamical Instability of Cylindrically Symmetric Collapsing Star in Generalized Teleparallel Gravity

This paper is devoted to analyze the dynamical instability of a self-gravitating object undergoes to collapse process. We take the framework of generalized teleparallel gravity with cylindrically symmetric gravitating object. The matter distribution is represented by locally anisotropic energy-momentum tensor. We develop basic equations such as dynamical equations along with matching conditions and Harrison-Wheeler equation of state. By applying linear perturbation strategy, we construct collapse equation which is used to accomplish the instability ranges in Newtonian and post-Newtonian regimes. We find these ranges for isotropic pressure as well as reduce the results in general relativity. The unstable behavior depends on matter, metric, mass and torsion based terms.

Fidelity Susceptibility as Holographic PV-Criticality

It is well known that entropy can be used to holographically establish a connection between geometry, thermodynamics and information theory. In this paper, we will use complexity to holographically establish a connection between geometry, thermodynamics and information theory. Thus, we will analyse the relation between holographic complexity, fidelity susceptibility, and thermodynamics in extended phase space. We will demonstrate that fidelity susceptibility (which is the informational complexity dual to a maximum volume in AdS) can be related to the thermodynamical volume (which is conjugate to the cosmological constant in the extended thermodynamic phase space). Thus, this letter establishes a relation between geometry, thermodynamics, and information theory, using complexity.

Holographic Complexity for Time-Dependent Backgrounds

In this paper, we will analyse the holographic complexity for time-dependent asymptotically $AdS$ geometries. We will first use a covariant zero mean curvature slicing of the time-dependent bulk geometries, and then use this co-dimension one spacelike slice of the bulk spacetime to define a co-dimension two minimal surface. The time-dependent holographic complexity will be defined using the volume enclosed by this minimal surface. This time-dependent holographic complexity will reduce to the usual holographic complexity for static geometries. We will analyse the time-dependence as a perturbation of the asymptotically $AdS$ geometries. Thus, we will obtain time-dependent asymptotically $AdS$ geometries, and we will calculate the holographic complexity for such a time-dependent geometries.

Holographic Complexity in Gauge/String Superconductors

Following a methodology similar to \cite{Alishahiha:2015rta}, we derive a holographic complexity for two dimensional holographic superconductors (gauge/string superconductors) with backreactions. Applying a perturbation method proposed by Kanno in Ref. \cite{kanno}, we study behaviors of the complexity for a dual quantum system near critical points. We show that when a system moves from the normal phase ($T>T_c$) to the superconductor phase ($T<T_c$), the holographic complexity will be divergent.

Shear-free Anisotropic Cosmological Models in f(R) Gravity

We study a class of shear-free, homogeneous but anisotropic cosmological models with imperfect matter sources in the context of f(R) gravity. We show that the anisotropic stresses are related to the electric part of the Weyl tensor in such a way that they balance each other. We also show that within the class of orthogonal f(R) models, small perturbations of shear are damped, and that the electric part of the Weyl tensor and the anisotropic stress tensor decay with the expansion as well as the heat flux of the curvature fluid. Specializing in locally rotationally symmetric spacetimes in orthonormal frames, we examine the late-time behaviour of the de Sitter universe in $f(R)$ gravity. For the Starobinsky model of f(R), we study the evolutionary behavior of the Universe by numerically integrating the Friedmann equation, where the initial conditions for the expansion, acceleration and jerk parameters are taken from observational data.

Analytical coexistence of s, p, s + p phases of a holographic superconductor

We analytically study the critical phase of a mixed system of the U(2) gauge fields and global symmetry on the boundary using gauge/gravity. A variational minimization problem has been formulated. The numerical results pertinently show that there exists a minimum chemical potential in which both scalar (s-wave) and vector (p-wave) condensates exist in a mixture, as well as in the distinct s- and p-phases. This result is obtained by breaking the symmetry into U(1) symmetry and rotational symmetry. While the analytical solutions of condensates and charge densities are achieved in both cases: the balanced and unbalanced holographic superconductors. This is the first an- alytical study of the coexistence of two modes of the superconductivity with different order parameters. The realistic model consists of two different phases of the superfluidity in Helium.

Holographic Entanglement Entropy in 2D Holographic Superconductor via $AdS_3/CFT_2$

The aim of the present letter is to find the holographic entanglement entropy (HEE) in 2D holographic superconductors (HSC). Indeed, it is possible to compute the exact form of this entropy due to an advantage of approximate solutions inside normal and superconducting phases with backreactions. By making the UV and IR limits applied to the integrals, an approximate expression for HEE is obtained. In case the software cannot calculate minimal surface integrals analytically, it offers the possibility to proceed with a numerical evaluation of the corresponding terms. We'll understand how the area formula incorporates the structure of the domain wall approximation. We see that HEE changes linearly with belt angle. It's due to the extensivity of this type of entropy and the emergent of an entropic force. We find that the wider belt angle corresponds to a larger holographic surface. Another remarkable observation is that no "confinement/deconfinement" phase transition point exists in our $2D$ dual field theory. Furthermore we observe that the slope of the HEE with respect to the temperature freedom(s) in low temperature system. A first order phase transition is detected near the critical point.

Kaluza-Klein reduction and Bergmann-Wagoner bi-scalar general action of scalar-tensor gravity

We examine the Kaluza-Klein (KK) dimensional reduction from higher-dimensional space-time and the properties of the resultant Bergmann-Wagoner general action of scalar-tensor theories. With the analysis of the perturbations, we also investigate the stability of the anti-de Sitter (AdS) space-time in the $D\in\mathcal{N}$-dimensional Einstein gravity with the negative cosmological constant. Furthermore, we derive the conditions for the dimensional reduction to successfully be executed and present the KK compactification mechanism.

Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equations in non-local $f(R)$ gravity

Non-local $f(R)$ gravity was proposed as a powerfull alternative to general relativity (GR) . This theory has potentially adverse implications for infrared (IR) regime as well as ultraviolent(UV) early epochs. However, there are a lot of powerful features, making it really user-friendly. A scalar-tensor frame comprising two auxiliary scalar fields, used to reduce complex action. However this is not the case for the modification complex which plays a distinct role in modified theories for gravity. In this work, we study the dynamics of a static, spherically symmetric object. The interior region of spacetime had rapidly filled the perfect fluid. However, it is possible to derive a physically based model which relates interior metric to non-local $f(R)$. The Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff (TOV) equations would be a set of first order differential equations from which we can deduce all mathematical (physical) truths and derive all dynamical objects. This set of dynamical equations govern pressure $p$, density $ρ$, mass $m$ and auxiliary fields $\{ψ,ξ\}$. The full conditional solutions are evaluated and inverted numerically to obtain exact forms of the compact stars Her X-1, SAX J 1808.4-3658 and 4U 1820-30 for non-local Starobinsky model of $f(\Box^{-1}R)=\Box^{-1}R+α\Big(\Box^{-1}R\Big)^2$. The program solves the differential equations numerically using adaptive Gaussian quadrature. An ascription of correctness is supposed to be an empirical equation of state $\frac{P}{P_c}= a (1- e^{-b\fracρ{ρ_c}})$ for star which is informative in so far as it excludes an alternative non local approach to compact star formation. This model is most suited for astrophysical observation.

Conformal Invariant Teleparallel Cosmology

We study teleparallel gravitational theories with are invariant under the conformal transformations. Wide family of the gravitational Lagrangians that are invariant under conformal transformations have investigated. Cosmological solutions inspired by the observational data for a flat Universe in the vacuum has been found. To add matter fields to the cosmological models by preserving the conformal symmetry there are significant limitations. Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) equations based on the effective terms of energy density and pressure have been rewriting and continuity equation for the effective quantities are derived. In the vacuum and in the absence of any matter field, the FRW equation has an exact solution for Hubble parameter which is consistent with the cosmological data, specially given analytical solution is in good agreement with $Λ$CDM model in the present time. Then the scalar field-Torsion models in the cosmological FRW background investigated. Massless scalar field equations are very complex with an exact analytical solution in special limits. We have shown that the Lagrangian scalar field with self interaction $V(ϕ)=\frac{1}{4!}μϕ^4$ can be written that the conformal symmetry is preserved.

New Modified Mimetic Gravity

A modified Mimetic gravity (MMG) is proposed as a generalization of general relativity. The model contain a physical metric which is function of an auxiliary (unphysical) metric and a Lyra's metric. We construct different kinds of conformally invariant models in different levels of the expansion parameter $λ$. This model phenomenologically has been extended to higher order forms. Cosmology of a certain class of such models has been investigated in details. A cosmological solution has been proposed in inhomogeneous form of scalar field. For homogenous case, energy conditions are widely investigated. We have shown that the system evaluated at intervals shorter than a certain time $T_c$ meets all the energy conditions.

Observational constraints on non-minimally coupled Galileon model

As an extension of Dvali-Gabadadze-Porrati (DGP) model, the Galileon theory has been proposed to explain the "self-accelerating problem" and "ghost instability problem". In this Paper, we extend the Galileon theory by considering a non-minimally coupled Galileon scalar with gravity. The statefinder analysis, $Om(z)$ diagnostic and constraint the model parameters have been investigate , we find $Ω_\text{m0}=0.263_{-0.031}^{+0.031}$, $n=1.53_{-0.37}^{+0.21}$ (at the $95\%$ confidence level) with $χ^2_{\text{min}}=473.376$. Further we show that due to the SNe Ia + BAO data ,our model behaves like a phantom-like dark energy.

Warm Intermediate Inflation in $F(T)$ Gravity

We investigate warm intermediate scenario of the cosmological inflation in $F(T)$ gravity in the limit of high dissipation. The inflationary expansion is driven by the scalar inflaton while the gravitational dynamics follow from the $F(T)$ gravity. We calculate the relevant inflationary observables such as scalar-tensor ratio, power-spectrum indices of density perturbations and gravitational waves and the e-folding parameter. We obtain a ratio of slow-roll parameters to be constant. Our calculations support the warm-intermediate inflationary scenario in a spacetime with torsion. Moreover our results are compatible with the astrophysical observations of cosmic microwave background and Planck data.

Analytical Holographic Superconductor with Backreaction Using AdS3/CFT2

The holographic model for a two-dimensional superconductor has been investigated by considering the three-dimensional gravity in the bulk. To find the critical temperature, we used the Sturm-Liouville variational method. Where as the same method is applied for calculating the condensation of the dual operators on the boundary. We included the back reactions on the metric by a combination of the perturbation method of the fields with respect to the small parameter and then applying the variational integrals on the resulting equations of the motion. The critical temperature has been successfully obtained on the backreaction effects, and we showed that it dropped with a rise in the backreaction of the fields, and it makes the condensation harder. We can use our analytical results to support the numerical data which was reported previously.

Geometrothermodynamics of higher dimensional black holes

We study the thermodynamics and geometrothermodynamics of different black hole configurations in more than four spacetime dimensions. We find the conditions under which second order phase transitions occur in higher-dimensional static Reissner-Nordström and stationary Kerr black holes. Our results indicate that the equilibrium manifold of all these black hole configurations is in general curved and that curvature singularities appear exactly at those places where second order phase transitions occur.

Geometrothermodynamics of Myers-Perry black holes

We consider the thermodynamics and Geometrothermodynamics of the Myers-Perry black holes in five dimensions for three different cases, depending on the values of the angular momenta. We follow Davies approach to study the thermodynamics of black holes and find a non-trivial thermodynamic structure in all cases, which is fully reproduced by the analysis performed with the techniques of Geometrothermodynamics. Moreover, we observe that in the cases when only one angular momentum is present or the two angular momenta are fixed to be equal, i.e. when the thermodynamic system is two dimensional, there is a complete agreement between the divergences of the generalized susceptibilities and the singularities of the equilibrium manifold, whereas when the two angular momenta are fully independent, that is, when the thermodynamic system is three dimensional, additional singularities in the curvature appear. However, we prove that such singularities are due to the changing from a stable phase to an unstable one.

More on Superconductors via Gauge/Gravity Duality with Nonlinear Maxwell Field

We have developed the recent investigations on the second-order phase transition in the holographic superconductor using the probe limit for a nonlinear Maxwell field strength coupled to a massless scalar field. By analytic methods, based on the variational Sturm- Liouville minimization technique, we study the effects of the space-time dimension and the non-linearity parameter on the critical temperature and the scalar condensation of the dual operators on the boundary. Further, as a motivated result, we analytically deduce the DC conductivity in the low and zero temperatures regime. Especially in the zero temperature limit and in two dimensional toy model, we thoroughly compute the conductivity analytically. Our work clarifies more features of the holographic superconductors both in different space dimensions and on the effect of the non-linearity in Maxwell's strength field.

Noether gauge symmetry approach in quintom cosmology

In literature usual point like symmetries of the Lagrangian have been introduced to study the symmetries and the structure of the fields. This kind of Noether symmetry is a subclass of a more general family of symmetries, called Noether Gauge Symmetries (NGS). Motivated by this mathematical tool, in this article, we discuss the generalized Noether symmetry of Quintom model of dark energy, which is a two component fluid model of quintessence and phantom fields. Our model is a generalization of the Noether symmetries of a single and multiple components which have been investigated in detail before. We found the general form of the quintom potential in which the whole dynamical system has a point like symmetry. We investigated different possible solutions of the system for diverse family of gauge function. Specially, we discovered two family of potentials, one corresponds to a free quintessence (phantom) and the second is in the form of quadratic interaction between two components. These two families of potential functions are proposed from the symmetry point of view, but in the quintom models they are used as phenomenological models without clear mathematical justification. From integrability point of view, we found two forms of the scale factor: one is power law and second is de-Sitter. Some cosmological implications of the solutions have been investigated

Reconstruction of f(T) and f(R) gravity according to (m,n)-type holographic dark energy

Motivated by earlier works on reconstruction of modified gravity models with dark energy components, we extend them by considering a newly proposed model of (m, n)- type of holographic dark energy for two models of modified gravity, f(R) and f(T) theories, where R and T represent Ricci scalar and torsion scalar respectively. Specifically we reconstruct the two later gravity models and discuss their viability and cosmography. The obtained gravity models are ghost free, compatible with local solar system tests and describe effective positive gravitational constant.

Noether Gauge Symmetry of Modified Teleparallel Gravity Minimally Coupled with a Canonical Scalar Field

This paper is devoted to the study of Noether gauge symmetries of $f(T)$ gravity minimally coupled with a canonical scalar field. We explicitly determine the unknown functions of the theory $f(T),V(ϕ), W(ϕ)$. We have shown that there are two invariants for this model, one of which defines the Hamiltonian $H$ under time invariance (energy conservation) and the other is related to scaling invariance. We show that the equation of state parameter in the present model can cross the cosmological constant boundary. The behavior of Hubble parameter in our model closely matches to that of $Λ$CDM model, thus our model is an alternative to the later.

Phase space analysis of interacting dark energy in f(T) cosmology

In this paper, we examine the interacting dark energy model in $f(T)$ cosmology. We assume dark energy as a perfect fluid and choose a specific cosmologically viable form $f(T)= β\sqrt{T} $. We show that there is one attractor solution to the dynamical equation of $f(T)$ Friedmann equations. Further we investigate the stability in phase space for a general $f(T)$ model with two interacting fluids. By studying the local stability near the critical points, we show that the critical points lie on the sheet $u^*=(c-1)v^*$ in the phase space, spanned by coordinates $(u,v,Ω,T)$. From this critical sheet, we conclude that the coupling between the dark energy and matter $c\in (-2,0)$.

Statefinder Analysis of f(T) Cosmology

In this paper, we intend to evaluate and analyze the statefinder parameters in $f(T)$ cosmology. Friedmann equation in $f(T)$ model is taken, and the statefinder parameters ${r,s}$ are calculated. We consider a model of $f(T)$ which contains a constant, linear and non-linear form of torsion. We plot $r$ and $s$ in order to characterize this model in the ${r,s}$ plane. We found that our model $f(T)=2C_1 \sqrt{-T} +αT+C_2,$ predicts the decay of dark energy in the far future while its special case namely teleparallel gravity predicts that dark energy will overcome over all the energy content of the Universe.

Investigation of particle and molecular extinction effects in remote sensing by ultraviolet DIAL in the lower atmosphere

This study presents theoretical investigation of the effects of particle and molecular extinction in horizontal remote sensing near the ground for several visibilities at UV wavelengths by neglecting the spatial inhomogeneity of aerosol in the atmosphere and taking into account the dependence of refracting on air temperature and pressure. Due to weak attenuation of oxygen and other gaseous atmospheric constituents in this region, we have only considered the effect of ozone in calculation. The results are important to estimate systematic errors in measuring gas concentration introduced by large wavelength separation in UV-DIAL. The total attenuation (km-1) at wavelengths is listed in the form of a table from 200 to 400 nm for several values of visibilities. It is found the aerosol attenuation in UV region varies quite smoothly with wavelength and therefore systematic error caused by aerosol scattering is negligible in remote sensing by UV-DIAL even with large wavelength separation. Moreover, it has been found that only aerosol extinction is dominant in lidar remote sensing in the lower atmosphere in UV region. In large altitude that aerosol concentration is lower; the molecular scattering is important especially for wavelengths larger than 310 nm.
