First test of Lepton Flavor Universality in the charmed baryon decays $Ω^{0}_{c} \to Ω^{-} \ell^{+} ν_{\ell}$ using data of the Belle experiment

We present the first observation of the $Ω_{c}^{0} \to Ω^{-} μ^{+} ν_μ$ decay and present measurements of the branching fraction ratios of the $Ω_{c}^{0} \to Ω^{-} \ell^{+} ν_{\ell}$ decays compared to the reference mode $Ω_{c}^{0} \to Ω^{-} π^+$ , ( $\ell = e$ or $μ$ ). This analysis is based on 89.5 fb $^{-1}$ , 711 fb $^{-1}$ , and 121.1 fb $^{-1}$ data samples collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider at the center-of-mass energies of 10.52 GeV, 10.58 GeV, and 10.86 GeV, respectively. The $Ω_{c}^{0}$ signal yields are extracted by fitting $M_{Ω^{-} \ell^{+}}$ and $M_{Ω^{-}π^+}$ spectra. The branching fraction ratios ${\cal B}(Ω_{c}^{0} \to Ω^{-} e^{+} ν_{e})/{\cal B}(Ω_{c}^{0} \to Ω^{-} π^+)$ and ${\cal B}(Ω_{c}^{0} \to Ω^{-} μ^{+} ν_μ)/{\cal B}(Ω_{c}^{0} \to Ω^{-} π^+)$ are measured to be $1.98 \pm0.13~({\rm stat.}) \pm 0.08~({\rm syst.})$ and $1.94 \pm 0.18~({\rm stat.}) \pm 0.10~({\rm syst.})$ , respectively. The ratio of ${\cal B}(Ω_{c}^{0} \to Ω^{-} e^{+} ν_{e})/{\cal B}(Ω_{c}^{0} \to Ω^{-} μ^{+} ν_μ)$ is measured to be $1.02 \pm 0.10~({\rm stat.}) \pm 0.02~({\rm syst.})$ , which is consistent with the expectation of lepton flavor universality.

Measurement of ${\mathcal B}$ ( $B_s \rightarrow D_s X$ ) with $B_s$ Semileptonic Tagging

We report the first direct measurement of the inclusive branching fraction ${\mathcal B}(B_s \rightarrow D_s X)$ via $B_s$ tagging in $e^+e^-\toΥ$ (5S) events. Tagging is accomplished through a partial reconstruction of semileptonic decays $B_s \rightarrow D_s X \ell ν$ , where $X$ denotes unreconstructed additional hadrons or photons and $\ell$ is an electron or muon. With 121.4 fb $^{-1}$ of data collected at the $Υ$ (5S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider, we obtain ${\mathcal B}(B_s \rightarrow D_s X)$ = $(60.2 \pm 5.8 \pm 2.3)$ \%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.

Search for charged lepton flavor violating decays of $Υ(1S)$

We present a search for the charged lepton-flavor-violating decays $Υ(1S)\rightarrow\ell\ell^\prime$ and radiative charged lepton-flavour-violating decays $Υ(1S)\rightarrowγ\ell\ell^\prime$ [ $\ell,\ell^\prime = e, μ, τ$ ] using the 158 million $Υ(2S)$ sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB collider. This search uses $Υ(1S)$ mesons produced in $π^+π^-Υ(1S)$ transitions. We do not find any significant signal, so we provide upper limits on the branching fractions at the 90% confidence level.

Study of $\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}h^{-} (h=K/π)$ decays at Belle

We present a measurement of the branching fractions of the Cabibbo favored $\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}π^{-}$ and the Cabibbo suppressed $\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}K^{-}$ decays. We find $\mathcal{B}(\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}π^{-}) = (2.48 \pm 0.01 \pm 0.09 \pm 0.04) \times 10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}K^{-})= (2.03 \pm 0.05 \pm 0.07 \pm 0.03) \times 10^{-4}$ decays, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third uncertainty is due to the $D^{+} \rightarrow K^{-}π^{+}π^{+}$ branching fraction. The ratio of branching fractions of $\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}K^{-}$ and $\overline{B}{}^0\rightarrow D^{+}π^{-}$ is measured to be $R^{D} = [8.19 \pm 0.20(\rm stat) \pm 0.23(\rm syst)] \times 10^{-2}$ . These measurements are performed using the full Belle data set, which corresponds to $772 \times 10^{6} B\overline{B}$ pairs.

Search for $B^0$ meson decays into $Λ$ and missing energy with a hadronic tagging method at Belle

We present a search for the decays of $B^0$ mesons into a final state containing a $Λ$ baryon and missing energy. These results are obtained from a $711\text{fb}^{-1}$ data sample that contains $772 \times 10^6$ $B{\kern 0.18em}\overline{\kern -0.18em B}$ pairs and was collected near the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. We use events in which one $B$ meson is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode and require the remainder of the event to consist of only a single $Λ$ . No evidence for these decays is found and we set $90\%$ confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions in the range $2.1$ - $3.8\times 10^{-5}$ . This measurement provides the world's most restrictive limits, with implications for baryogenesis and dark matter production.

Search for the decay $B_s^0\rightarrowηη$

We report results from a search for the decay $B_s^0\rightarrowηη$ using 121.4 fb $^{-1}$ of data collected at the $Υ(5S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. We do not observe any signal and set an upper limit on the branching fraction of $14.3\times 10^{-5}$ at $90\%$ confidence level. This result represents a significant improvement over the previous most stringent limit.

Measurement of two-particle correlations in hadronic $e^{+}e^{-}$ collisions at Belle

The enhancement of charged-particle pairs with large pseudorapidity difference and small azimuthal angle difference, often referred to as the ``ridge signal'', is a phenomenon widely observed in high multiplicity proton-proton, proton-ion and deutron-ion collisions, which is not yet fully understood. In heavy-ion collisions, the hydrodynamic expansion of the Quark-Gluon Plasma is one of the possible explanations of the origin of the ridge signal. Measurements in the $e^+e^-$ collision system, without the complexities introduced by hadron structure in the initial state, can serve as a complementary probe to examine the formation of a ridge signal. The first measurement of two-particle angular correlation functions in high multiplicity $e^+e^-$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=10.52$ GeV is reported. The hadronic $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected by the Belle detector at KEKB are used in this study. Two-particle angular correlation functions are measured over the full azimuth and large pseudorapidity intervals which are defined by either the electron beam axis or the event thrust as a function of charged particle multiplicity. The measurement in the event thrust analysis, with mostly outgoing quark pairs determining the reference axis, is sensitive to the region of additional soft gluon emissions. No significant ridge signal is observed with either coordinates analyses. Near side jet correlations appear to be absent in the thrust axis analysis. The measurements are compared to predictions from various event generators and expected to provide new constraints to the phenomenological models in the low energy regime.

Search for the Decay $B_s^0 \rightarrow η^\prime η$

In the Standard Model (SM) charmless hadronic decays $B_s^0 \rightarrow η^\prime η$ proceed via tree-level $b\to u$ and penguin $b\to s$ transitions. Penguin transitions are sensitive to Beyond-the-Standard-Model (BSM) physics scenarios and could affect the branching fractions and {\it CP} asymmetries in such decays. Once branching fractions for two-body decays $B_s \to ηη, ηη^{\prime}, η^{\prime}η^{\prime}$ are measured, and the theoretical uncertainties are reduced, it would be possible to extract {\it CP} violating parameters from the data using the formalism based on SU(3)/U(3) symmetry. To achieve this goal, at least four of these six branching fractions need to be measured. Only the branching fraction for $B_s^0 \to η^{\prime}η^{\prime}$ has been measured so far.

Measurement of $\mathcal{R}(D)$ and $\mathcal{R}(D^*)$ with a semileptonic tagging method

The experimental results on the ratios of branching fractions $\mathcal{R}(D) = {\cal B}(\bar{B} \to D τ^- \barν_τ)/{\cal B}(\bar{B} \to D \ell^- \barν_{\ell})$ and $\mathcal{R}(D^*) = {\cal B}(\bar{B} \to D^* τ^- \barν_τ)/{\cal B}(\bar{B} \to D^* \ell^- \barν_{\ell})$ , where $\ell$ denotes an electron or a muon, show a long-standing discrepancy with the Standard Model predictions, and might hint to a violation of lepton flavor universality. We report a new simultaneous measurement of $\mathcal{R}(D)$ and $\mathcal{R}(D^*)$ , based on a data sample containing $772 \times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ events recorded at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+ e^-$ collider. In this analysis the tag-side $B$ meson is reconstructed in a semileptonic decay mode and the signal-side $τ$ is reconstructed in a purely leptonic decay. The measured values are $\mathcal{R}(D)= 0.307 \pm 0.037 \pm 0.016$ and $\mathcal{R}(D^*) = 0.283 \pm 0.018 \pm 0.014$ , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. These results are in agreement with the Standard Model predictions within $0.2$ , $1.1$ and $0.8$ standard deviations for $\mathcal{R}(D)$ , $\mathcal{R}(D^*)$ and their combination, respectively. This work constitutes the most precise measurements of $\mathcal{R}(D)$ and $\mathcal{R}(D^*)$ performed to date as well as the first result for $\mathcal{R}(D)$ based on a semileptonic tagging method.

Observation of a new structure near 10.75 GeV in the energy dependence of the $e^+e^-\toΥ(nS)π^+π^-$ ( $n=1,2,3$ ) cross sections

We report a new measurement of the $e^+e^-\toΥ(nS)π^+π^-$ ( $n=1,2,3$ ) cross sections at energies from 10.52 to 11.02 GeV using data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. We observe a new structure in the energy dependence of the cross sections; if described by a Breit-Wigner function its mass and width are found to be $M=(10752.7\pm5.9\,^{+0.7}_{-1.1})\,$ MeV/ $c^2$ and $Γ=(35.5^{+17.6}_{-11.3}\,^{+3.9}_{-3.3})\,$ MeV, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. The global significance of the new structure including systematic uncertainty is 5.2 standard deviations. We also find evidence for the $e^+e^-\toΥ(1S)π^+π^-$ process at the energy 10.52 GeV, which is below the $B\bar{B}$ threshold.

Observation of the radiative decays of $Υ(1S)$ to $χ_{c1}$

We report the first observation of the radiative decay of the $Υ(1S)$ into a charmonium state. The statistical significance of the observed signal of $Υ(1S) \to γχ_{c1}$ is 6.3 standard deviations including systematics. The branching fraction is calculated to be Br( $Υ(1S) \to γχ_{c1}$ ) = (4.7^{+2.4}_{-1.8} (stat) ^{+0.4}_{-0.5} (sys)) * 10^{-5}. We also searched for $Υ(1S)$ radiative decays into $χ_{c0,2}$ and $η_c(1S,2S)$ and set upper limits on their branching fractions. These results are obtained from a 24.9 fb^{-1} data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider at a center-of-mass energy equal to the $Υ(2S)$ mass using $Υ(1S)$ tagging by the $Υ(2S) \to Υ(1S) π^+π^-$ transitions.

Search for $B^+ \to μ^+\, ν_μ$ and $B^+ \to μ^+\, N$ with inclusive tagging

We report the result for a search for the leptonic decay of $B^+ \to μ^+ \, ν_μ$ using the full Belle data set of 711 fb ${}^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance. In the Standard Model leptonic $B$ -meson decays are helicity and CKM suppressed. To maximize sensitivity an inclusive tagging approach is used to reconstruct the second $B$ meson produced in the collision. The directional information from this second $B$ meson is used to boost the observed $μ$ into the signal $B$ meson rest-frame, in which the $μ$ has a monochromatic momentum spectrum. Though its momentum is smeared by the experimental resolution, this technique improves the analysis sensitivity considerably. Analyzing the $μ$ momentum spectrum in this frame we find $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \to μ^+ \, ν_μ) = \left( 5.3 \pm 2.0 \pm 0.9 \right) \times 10^{-7}$ with a one-sided significance of 2.8 standard deviations over the background-only hypothesis. This translates to a frequentist upper limit of $\mathcal{B}(B^+ \to μ^+ \, ν_μ) < 8.6 \times 10^{-7}$ at 90% CL. The experimental spectrum is then used to search for a massive sterile neutrino, $B^+ \to μ^+ \, N$ , but no evidence is observed for a sterile neutrino with a mass in a range of 0 - 1.5 GeV. The determined $B^+ \to μ^+ \, ν_μ$ branching fraction limit is further used to constrain the mass and coupling space of the type II and type III two-Higgs-doublet models.

Angular analysis of $B^0 \to K^\ast(892)^0 \ell^+ \ell^-$

We present a measurement of angular observables, $P_4'$ , $P_5'$ , $P_6'$ , $P_8'$ , in the decay $B^0 \to K^\ast(892)^0 \ell^+ \ell^-$ , where $\ell^+\ell^-$ is either $e^+e^-$ or $μ^+μ^-$ . The analysis is performed on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $711~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ containing $772\times 10^{6}$ $B\bar B$ pairs, collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider KEKB. Four angular observables, $P_{4,5,6,8}'$ are extracted in five bins of the invariant mass squared of the lepton system, $q^2$ . We compare our results for $P_{4,5,6,8}'$ with Standard Model predictions including the $q^2$ region in which the LHCb collaboration reported the so-called $P_5'$ anomaly.

Energy scan of the $e^+e^- \to h_b(nP)π^+π^-$ $(n=1,2)$ cross sections and evidence for $Υ(11020)$ decays into charged bottomonium-like states

Using data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider, we measure the energy dependence of the $e^+e^- \to h_b(nP)π^+π^-$ $(n=1,2)$ cross sections from thresholds up to $11.02\,$ GeV. We find clear $Υ(10860)$ and $Υ(11020)$ peaks with little or no continuum contribution. We study the resonant substructure of the $Υ(11020) \to h_b(nP)π^+π^-$ transitions and find evidence that they proceed entirely via the intermediate isovector states $Z_b(10610)$ and $Z_b(10650)$ . The relative fraction of these states is loosely constrained by the current data: the hypothesis that only $Z_b(10610)$ is produced is excluded at the level of 3.3 standard deviations, while the hypothesis that only $Z_b(10650)$ is produced is not excluded at a significant level.

Evidence for the decay $B^{0}\to ηη$

We report a search for $B^{0}\to ηη$ with a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $698 \,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ containing $753 \times 10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. The branching fraction is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(B^{0} \to ηη) = (7.6^{+2.7 +1.4}_{-2.3 -1.6}) \times 10^{-7}$ at the level of 3.3 standard deviations above zero, which provides the first evidence for the decay $B^{0} \to ηη$ .

First model-independent Dalitz analysis of $B^0 \to DK^{*0}$ , $D\to K_S^0π^+π^-$ decay

We report a measurement of the amplitude ratio $r_S$ of $B^0 \to D^0K^{*0}$ and $B^0 \to \bar{D^0}K^{*0}$ decays with a Dalitz analysis of $D\to K_S^0π^+π^-$ decays, for the first time using a model-independent method. We set an upper limit $r_S < 0.87$ at the 68\% confidence level, using the full data sample of $772\times10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. This result is obtained from observables $x_- = +0.4 ^{+1.0 +0.0}_{-0.6 -0.1} \pm0.0$ , $y_- = -0.6 ^{+0.8 +0.1}_{-1.0 -0.0} \pm0.1$ , $x_+ = +0.1 ^{+0.7 +0.0}_{-0.4 -0.1} \pm0.1$ and $y_+ = +0.3 ^{+0.5 +0.0}_{-0.8 -0.1} \pm0.1$ , where $x_\pm = r_S \cos(δ_S \pm ϕ_3)$ , $y_\pm = r_S \sin(δ_S \pm ϕ_3)$ and $ϕ_3~(δ_S)$ is the weak (strong) phase difference between $B^0 \to D^0K^{*0}$ and $B^0 \to \bar{D^0}K^{*0}$ .

First observation of $γγ\to p \bar{p} K^+ K^-$ and search for exotic baryons in $pK$ systems

The process $γγ\to p \bar{p} K^+ K^-$ and its intermediate processes are measured for the first time using a 980~fb $^{-1}$ data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The production of $p \bar{p} K^+ K^-$ and a $Λ(1520)^0~(\barΛ(1520)^0)$ signal in the $pK^-$ ~( $\bar{p} K^+$ ) invariant mass spectrum are clearly observed. However, no evidence for an exotic baryon near 1540~MeV/ $c^2$ , denoted as $Θ(1540)^0$ ~( $\barΘ~(1540)^0$ ) or $Θ(1540)^{++}$ ~( $Θ(1540)^{--}$ ), is seen in the $p K^-$ ~( $\bar{p}K^+$ ) or $pK^+$ ~( $\bar{p} K^-$ ) invariant mass spectra. Cross sections for $γγ\to p \bar{p} K^+ K^-$ , $Λ(1520)^0 \bar{p} K^+ +c.c.$ and the products $σ(γγ\to Θ(1540)^0 \bar{p} K^+ +c.c.)\BR(Θ(1540)^0 \to p K^{-})$ and $σ(γγ\to Θ(1540)^{++} \bar{p} K^- +c.c.)\BR(Θ(1540)^{++}\to p K^{+})$ are measured. We also determine upper limits on the products of the $χ_{c0}$ and $χ_{c2}$ two-photon decay widths and their branching fractions to $p \bar{p} K^+ K^-$ at the 90\% credibility level.

Inclusive and exclusive measurements of $B$ decays to $χ_{c1}$ and $χ_{c2}$ at Belle

We report inclusive and exclusive measurements for $χ_{c1}$ and $χ_{c2}$ production in $B$ decays. We measure $\mathcal{B}(B \to χ_{c1} X)$ = $(3.03 \pm 0.05(\mbox{stat}) \pm 0.24(\mbox{syst})) \times 10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(B \to χ_{c2} X)$ = $(0.70 \pm 0.06(\mbox{stat}) \pm 0.10(\mbox{syst})) \times 10^{-3}$. For the first time, $χ_{c2}$ production in exclusive $B$ decays in the modes $B^0 \to χ_{c2}π^- K^+$ and $B^+ \to χ_{c2} π^+ π^- K^+$ has been observed, along with first evidence for the $B^+ \to χ_{c2} π^+ K_S^0$ decay mode. For $χ_{c1}$ production, we report the first observation in the $B^+ \to χ_{c1} π^+ π^- K^+$ , $B^0 \to χ_{c1} π^+ π^- K_S^0$ and $B^0 \to χ_{c1} π^0 π^- K^+$ decay modes. Using these decay modes, we observe a difference in the production mechanism of $χ_{c2}$ in comparison to $χ_{c1}$ in $B$ decays. In addition, we report searches for $X(3872)$ and $χ_{c1}(2P)$ in the $B^+ \to (χ_{c1} π^+ π^-) K^+$ decay mode. The reported results use $772 \times 10^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ events collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider.

Lepton-Flavor-Dependent Angular Analysis of $B\to K^\ast \ell^+\ell^-$

We present a measurement of angular observables and a test of lepton flavor universality in the $B\to K^\ast \ell^+\ell^-$ decay, where $\ell$ is either $e$ or $μ$ . The analysis is performed on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $711~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ containing $772\times 10^{6}$ $B\bar B$ pairs, collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider KEKB. The result is consistent with Standard Model (SM) expectations, where the largest discrepancy from a SM prediction is observed in the muon modes with a local significance of $2.6σ$ .

Measurement of $CP$ asymmetry in the $D^{0} \to K^0_S K^0_S$ decay at Belle

We report a measurement of the time-integrated $CP$ asymmetry in the neutral charm meson decay $D^0 \to K^0_S K^0_S$ using 921~fb $^{-1}$ data collected at the $Υ(4S)$ and $Υ(5S)$ resonances with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The observed asymmetry is $A_{CP}(D^0 \to K^0_S K^0_S) = (-0.02 \pm 1.53 \pm 0.17) \%,$ where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This latter uncertainty is dominated by the error of the normalisation channel. The result is consistent with Standard Model expectations and improves the uncertainty with respect to previous measurement of this quantity by more than a factor of three.

Measurement of Michel Parameters ( $\barη$ , $ξκ$ ) in the radiative leptonic decay of tau at Belle

We present the first measurement of the Michel parameters $\barη$ and $ξκ$ in the radiative leptonic decay of the $τ$ lepton using 703 f $\mathrm{b}^{-1}$ of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. The Michel parameters are measured by an unbinned maximum likelihood fit to the kinematic information of $e^+e^-\rightarrowτ^+τ^-\rightarrow (π^+π^0 \barν)(l^-ν\barνγ)$ $(l=e$ or $μ)$ . The preliminary values of the measured Michel parameters are $\barη = -2.0 \pm 1.5 \pm 0.8$ and $ξκ= 0.6 \pm 0.4 \pm 0.2$ , where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic.

Measurement of the $τ$ lepton polarization in the decay ${\bar B} \rightarrow D^* τ^- {\bar ν_τ}$

We report the first measurement of the $τ$ lepton polarization in the decay ${\bar B} \rightarrow D^* τ^- {\barν_τ}$ as well as a new measurement of the ratio of the branching fractions $R(D^{*}) = \mathcal{B}({\bar B} \rightarrow D^* τ^- {\barν_τ}) / \mathcal{B}({\bar B} \rightarrow D^* \ell^- {\barν_{\ell}})$ , where $\ell^-$ denotes an electron or a muon, with the decays $τ^- \rightarrow π^- ν_τ$ and $τ^- \rightarrow ρ^- ν_τ$ . We use the full data sample of $772 \times 10^6$ $B{\bar B}$ pairs accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB electron-positron collider. Our preliminary results, $R(D^*) = 0.276 \pm 0.034{\rm (stat.)} ^{+0.029} _{-0.026}{\rm (syst.)}$ and $P_τ = -0.44 \pm 0.47 {\rm (stat.)} ^{+0.20} _{-0.17} {\rm (syst.)}$ , are consistent with the theoretical predictions of the Standard Model within $0.6$ standard deviation.

Measurement of the branching ratio of $\bar{B}^0 \rightarrow D^{+} τ^- \barν_τ$ relative to $\bar{B}^0 \rightarrow D^{+} \ell^- \barν_{\ell}$ decays with a semileptonic tagging method

We select a sample of $B^0 \bar{B}^0$ pairs by reconstructing both $B$ mesons in semileptonic decays to $D^{*\mp} \ell^{\pm}$ . We measure ${\cal R}(D^*)= 0.302 \pm 0.030({\rm stat)} \pm 0.011({\rm syst)}$ , which is within $1.6 σ$ of the Standard Model theoretical expectation, where the standard deviation $σ$ includes systematic uncertainties. We use this measurement to constrain several scenarios of new physics in a model-independent approach.

Measurement of the CKM angle $φ_1$ in $B^0\to\bar{D}{}^{(*)0}h^0$ , $\bar{D}{}^0\to K_S^0π^+π^-$ decays with time-dependent binned Dalitz plot analysis

We report a measurement of the CP violation parameter $φ_1$ obtained in a time-dependent analysis of $B^0\to\bar{D}{}^{(*)0}h^0$ decays followed by $\bar{D}{}^0\to K_S^0π^+π^-$ decay. A model-independent measurement is performed using the binned Dalitz plot technique. The measured value is $φ_1 = 11.7^{\circ}\pm7.8^{\circ}({\rm stat.})\pm 2.1^{\circ}({\rm syst.})$ . Treating $\sin{2φ_1}$ and $\cos{2φ_1}$ as independent parameters, we obtain $\sin{2φ_1} = 0.43\pm 0.27({\rm stat.})\pm 0.08({\rm syst.})$ and $\cos{2φ_1} = 1.06\pm 0.33({\rm stat.})^{+0.21}_{-0.15}({\rm syst.})$ . The results are obtained with a full data sample of $772 \times 10^6 B\bar{B}$ pairs collected near the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider.

Measurement of the decay $B\to D\ellν_\ell$ in fully reconstructed events and determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cb}|$

We present a determination of the magnitude of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ using the decay $B\to D\ellν_\ell$ ( $\ell=e,μ$ ) based on 711 fb $^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-\to Υ(4S)$ data recorded by the Belle detector and containing $772 \times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs. One $B$ meson in the event is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode while the other, on the signal side, is partially reconstructed from a charged lepton and either a $D^+$ or $D^0$ meson in a total of 23 hadronic decay modes. The isospin-averaged branching fraction of the decay $B\to D\ellν_\ell$ is found to be $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \to D^- \ell^+ ν_{\ell})=(2.31\pm 0.03(\mathrm{stat})\pm 0.11(\mathrm{syst}))\%$ . Analyzing the differential decay rate as a function of the hadronic recoil with the parameterization of Caprini, Lelouch and Neubert and using the form-factor prediction $\mathcal{G}(1)=1.0541\pm 0.0083$ calculated by FNAL/MILC, we obtain $η_\mathrm{EW}|V_{cb}|=(40.12\pm 1.34)\times 10^{-3}$ , where $η_\mathrm{EW}$ is the electroweak correction factor. Alternatively, assuming the model-independent form-factor parameterization of Boyd, Grinstein and Lebed and using lattice QCD data from the FNAL/MILC and HPQCD collaborations, we find $η_\mathrm{EW}|V_{cb}|=(41.10 \pm 1.14)\times 10^{-3}$ .

Observation of the decay $B_s^0\rightarrow K^0\overline{K}^0$

We measure the decay $B_s^0\rightarrow K^0\overline{K}^0$ using data collected at the $Υ(5S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 121.4 ${\rm fb^{-1}}$ . We measure a branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(B_s^0\rightarrow K^0\overline{K}^0) = [19.6\,^{+5.8}_{-5.1}({\rm stat.})\,\pm1.0({\rm sys.})\,\pm 2.0(N^{}_{B_s^0\overline{B}_s^0})]\times 10^{-6}$ with a significance of 5.1 standard deviations. This measurement constitutes the first observation of this decay.

Observation of Transverse $Λ/\barΛ$ Hyperon Polarization in $e^+e^-$ Annihilation at Belle

We report the first observation of the polarization of $Λ/\barΛ$ hyperons transverse to its production plane in $e^+e^-$ annihilation. We observe a significant polarization that rises with the fractional energy carried by the hyperon as well as its transverse momentum. To define the production plane, we use the direction of the hyperon momentum together with either the thrust axis in the event or the momentum vector of a hadron in the opposite hemisphere. Furthermore, we investigate the contributions to the hyperon polarization from the feed-down from $Σ^0/\barΣ^0$ and $Λ_c^{\pm}$ decays. This measurement uses a dataset of 800.4fb $^{-1}$ collected by the Belle experiment at or near a center-of-mass energy of 10.58 GeV.

Search for $B^0 \to π^- τ^+ ν_τ$ with hadronic tagging at Belle

We search for the process $B^0 \to π^- τ^+ ν_τ$ using the full Belle data set of $711\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ , corresponding to $772 \times 10^6 B\bar{B}$ pairs, collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We reconstruct one $B$ meson in a hadronic decay and search for the $B^0 \to π^- τ^+ ν_τ$ process in the remainder of the event. No significant signal is observed and an upper limit of $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \to π^- τ^+ ν_τ) < 2.5 \times 10^{-4}$ is obtained at the $90\%$ confidence level.

Search for $XYZ$ states in $Υ(1S)$ inclusive decays

The branching fractions of the $Υ(1S)$ inclusive decays into final states with a $J/ψ$ or a $ψ(2S)$ are measured with improved precision to be $\BR(Υ(1S)\to J/ψ+ {\rm anything})=(5.25\pm 0.13(\mathrm{stat.})\pm 0.25(\mathrm{syst.}))\times 10^{-4}$ and $\BR(Υ(1S)\to ψ(2S) + {\rm anything})=(1.23\pm 0.17(\mathrm{stat.})\pm 0.11(\mathrm{syst.}))\times 10^{-4}$. The first search for $Υ(1S)$ decays into $XYZ$ states that decay into a $J/ψ$ or a $ψ(2S)$ plus one or two charged tracks yields no significant signals for $XYZ$ states in any of the examined decay modes, and upper limits on their production rates in $Υ(1S)$ inclusive decays are determined.

Search for a dark vector gauge boson decaying to $π^+ π^-$ using $η\rightarrow π^+π^- γ$ decays

We report a search for a dark vector gauge boson $U^\prime$ that couples to quarks in the decay chain $D^{*+} \to D^0 π^+, D^0 \to K^0_S η, η\to U^\prime γ$ , $U^\prime \to π^+ π^-$ . No signal is found and we set a mass-dependent limit on the baryonic fine structure constant of $10^{-3} - 10^{-2}$ in the $U^\prime$ mass range of 290 to 520 MeV/ $c^2$ . This analysis is based on a data sample of 976 fb $^{-1}$ collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider.

Search for the decay B0 -> phi gamma

We have searched for the decay B0 -> phi gamma using the full Belle data set of 772 x 10^6 BBbar pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- collider. No signal is observed, and we set an upper limit on the branching fraction of B(B0 -> phi gamma) < 1.0 x 10^{-7} at 90% confidence level. This is the most stringent limit on this decay mode to date.

Studies of charmed strange baryons in the $ΛD$ final state at Belle

We report the discovery of $Ξ_{c}(3055)^{0}$ , observed by its decay into the final state $ΛD^{0}$ , and present the first observation and evidence of the decays of $Ξ_c(3055)^{+}$ and $Ξ_c(3080)^{+}$ into $ΛD^{+}$ . We also perform a combined analysis of the $ΛD^{+}$ with the $Σ_{c}^{++}K^{-}$ and $Σ_{c}^{\ast ++}K^{-}$ decay modes to measure the ratios of branching fractions, masses and widths with improved accuracy. We measure the ratios of branching fractions ${\cal B}(Ξ_{c}(3055)^{+} \to ΛD^{+})/{\cal B}(Ξ_{c}(3055)^{+} \to Σ_{c}^{++}K^{-})=5.09\pm1.01\pm0.76$ , ${\cal B}(Ξ_{c}(3080)^{+} \to ΛD^{+})/{\cal B}(Ξ_{c}(3080)^{+} \to Σ_{c}^{++}K^{-})=1.29\pm0.30\pm0.15$ , and ${\cal B}(Ξ_{c}(3080)^{+} \to Σ_{c}^{\ast ++}K^{-})/{\cal B}(Ξ_{c}(3080)^{+} \to Σ_{c}^{++}K^{-})=1.07\pm0.27\pm0.01$ , where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic. The analysis is performed using a 980 fb $^{-1}$ data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider.

Study of $\mathbf{B^{0}\rightarrowρ^{+}ρ^{-}}$ decays and implications for the CKM angle $\mathbf{ϕ_2}$

We present a measurement of the branching fraction and the longitudinal polarization fraction of $B^{0}\rightarrowρ^+ρ^-$ decays, as well as the time-dependent $CP$ violating parameters in decays into longitudinally polarized $ρ^{+}ρ^{-}$ pairs with Belle's final data set of $772\times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs, at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance, collected at the asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider KEKB. We obtain ${\cal B}(B^0 \rightarrow ρ^+ ρ^-)=(28.3\pm 1.5\;(\rm stat) \pm 1.5\;(\rm syst))\times 10^{-6}$ , $f_L = 0.988\pm 0.012\;(\rm stat ) \pm0.023\;(\rm syst)$ , ${\cal A}_{CP} = 0.00\pm0.10\;(\rm stat ) \pm0.06\;(\rm syst)$ , ${\cal S}_{CP} = -0.13\pm0.15\;(\rm stat ) \pm0.05\;(\rm syst).$ We perform an isospin analysis to constrain the CKM angle $ϕ_2$ and obtain two solutions with \begin{eqnarray} ϕ_{2} = (93.7\pm10.6)^{\circ},\nonumber \end{eqnarray} being most compatible with other Standard-Model based fits to the data.

Study of $π^0$ pair production in single-tag two-photon collisions

We report a measurement of the differential cross section of $π^0$ pair production in single-tag two-photon collisions, $γ^* γ\to π^0 π^0$ , in $e^+ e^-$ scattering. The cross section is measured for $Q^2$ up to 30 GeV $^2$ , where $Q^2$ is the negative of the invariant mass squared of the tagged photon, in the kinematic range 0.5 GeV < W < 2.1 GeV and $|\cos θ^*|$ < 1.0 for the total energy and pion scattering angle, respectively, in the $γ^* γ$ center-of-mass system. The results are based on a data sample of 759 fb $^{-1}$ collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. The transition form factor of the $f_0(980)$ and that of the $f_2(1270)$ with the helicity-0, -1, and -2 components separately are measured for the first time and are compared with theoretical calculations.

Study of Excited $Ξ_c$ States Decaying into $Ξ_c^0$ and $Ξ_c^+$ Baryons

Using a data sample of 980 ${\rm fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data taken with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider, we report the results of a study of excited $Ξ_c$ states that decay, via the emission of photons and/or charged pions, into $Ξ_c^0$ or $Ξ_c^+$ ground state charmed-strange baryons. We present new measurements of the masses of all members of the $Ξ_c^{\prime}$ , $Ξ_c(2645)$ , $Ξ_c(2790)$ , $Ξ_c(2815)$ , and $Ξ_c(2980)$ isodoublets, measurements of the intrinsic widths of those that decay strongly, and evidence of previously unknown transitions.

Study of Two-Body $e^+e^- \to B_s^{()}\bar{B}_s^{()}$ Production in the Energy Range from 10.77 to 11.02 GeV

We report results on the studies of the $e^+e^-\to B_s^{(*)}\bar{B}_s^{(*)}$ processes. The results are based on a $121.4$ fb $^{-1}$ data sample collected with the Belle detector at the center-of-mass energy near the $Υ(10860)$ peak and $16.4$ fb $^{-1}$ of data collected at 19 energy points in the range from 10.77 to 11.02 GeV. We observe a clear $e^+e^-\toΥ(10860)\to B_s^{(*)}\bar{B}_s^{(*)}$ signal, with no statistically significant signal of $e^+e^-\to Υ(11020)\to B_s^{(*)}\bar{B}_s^{(*)}$ . The relative production ratio of $B_s^*\bar{B}_s^*$ , $B_s\bar{B}_s^{*}$ , and $B_s\bar{B}_s$ final states at $\sqrt{s}=10.866$ GeV is measured to be $7:$ $0.856\pm0.106(stat.)\pm0.053(syst.):$ $0.645\pm0.094(stat.)^{+0.030}_{-0.033}(syst.)$ . An angular analysis of the $B_s^*\bar{B}_s^*$ final state produced at the $Υ(10860)$ peak is also performed.

Study of χ_{bJ}(1P) Properties in the Radiative Υ(2S) Decays

We report a study of radiative decays of χ_{bJ}(1P)(J=0,1,2) mesons into 74 hadronic final states comprising charged and neutral pions, kaons, protons; out of these, 41 modes are observed with at least 5 standard deviation significance. Our measurements not only improve the previous measurements by the CLEO Collaboration but also lead to first observations in many new modes. The large sample allows us to probe the total decay width of the χ_{b0}(1P). In the absence of a statistically significant result, a 90% confidence-level upper limit is set on the width at Γ_{total}< 2.4 MeV. Our results are based on 24.7 fb^{-1} of e+e- collision data recorded by the Belle detector at the Υ(2S) resonance, corresponding to (157.8\pm3.6)\times10^6 Υ(2S) decays.

Evidence for the decay B0->eta pi^0

We report a search for the charmless hadronic decay $B^0\toηπ^0$ with a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 694 $\rm fb^{-1}$ containing $753\times10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs. The data were collected by the Belle experiment running on the $Υ(4S)$ resonance at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. We measure a branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(B^0\toηπ^0)=(4.1^{+1.7+0.5}_{-1.5-0.7})\times 10^{-7}$ , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Our measurement gives an upper limit of $\mathcal{B}(B^0\toηπ^0)<6.5\times 10^{-7}$ at 90\% confidence level. The signal has a significance of $3.0$ standard deviations and constitutes the first evidence for this decay mode.

First Observation of CP Violation in B0->D(*)CP h0 Decays by a Combined Time-Dependent Analysis of BaBar and Belle Data

We report a measurement of the time-dependent CP asymmetry of B0->D(*)CP h0 decays, where the light neutral hadron h0 is a pi0, eta or omega meson, and the neutral D meson is reconstructed in the CP eigenstates K+ K-, K0S pi0 or K0S omega. The measurement is performed combining the final data samples collected at the Y(4S) resonance by the BaBar and Belle experiments at the asymmetric-energy B factories PEP-II at SLAC and KEKB at KEK, respectively. The data samples contain ( 471 +/- 3 ) x 10^6 BB pairs recorded by the BaBar detector and ( 772 +/- 11 ) x 10^6, BB pairs recorded by the Belle detector. We measure the CP asymmetry parameters -eta_f S = +0.66 +/- 0.10 (stat.) +/- 0.06 (syst.) and C = -0.02 +/- 0.07 (stat.) +/- 0.03 (syst.). These results correspond to the first observation of CP violation in B0->D(*)CP h0 decays. The hypothesis of no mixing-induced CP violation is excluded in these decays at the level of 5.4 standard deviations.

First Observation of Doubly Cabibbo-Suppressed Decay of a Charmed Baryon: $Λ^{+}_{c} \rightarrow p K^{+} π^{-}$

We report the first observation of the decay $Λ^{+}_{c} \rightarrow p K^{+} π^{-}$ using a 980 $\mathrm{fb^{-1}}$ data sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. This is the first doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay of a charmed baryon to be observed. We measure the branching ratio of this decay with respect to its Cabibbo-favored counterpart to be $\mathcal{B}(Λ^{+}_{c} \rightarrow p K^{+} π^{-})/\mathcal{B}(Λ^{+}_{c} \rightarrow p K^{-} π^{+})=(2.35\pm0.27\pm0.21)\times10^{-3}$ , where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.

First Observation of the Decay B0->psi(2S)pi0

We report a measurement of the $B^0\rightarrowψ(2S)π^0$ branching fraction based on the full $Υ(4S)$ data set of $772\times10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. We obtain $B(B^0\rightarrowψ(2S)π^0) = (1.17\pm0.17\text{(stat)}\pm0.08\text{(syst)})\times10^{-5}$ . The result has a significance of 7.2 standard deviations and is the first observation of the decay $B^0\rightarrowψ(2S)π^0$ .

First observation of the hadronic transition $Υ(4S) \to ηh_{b}(1P)$ and new measurement of the $h_b(1P)$ and $η_b(1S)$ parameters

Using a sample of $771.6 \times 10^{6}$ $Υ(4S)$ decays collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider, we observe for the first time the transition $Υ(4S) \to ηh_b(1P)$ with the branching fraction ${\cal B}[Υ(4S) \to ηh_b(1P)]= (2.18 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.18) \times 10^{-3}$ and we measure the $h_b(1P)$ mass $M_{h_{b}(1P)} = (9899.3 \pm 0.4 \pm 1.0)$ MeV/ $c^{2}$ , corresponding to the hyperfine splitting $ΔM_{\mathrm HF}(1P) = (0.6 \pm 0.4 \pm 1.0)$ MeV/ $c^{2}$ . Using the transition $h_b(1P) \to γη_b(1S)$ , we measure the $η_b(1S)$ mass $M_{η_{b}(1S)} = (9400.7 \pm 1.7 \pm 1.6)$ MeV/ $c^{2}$ , corresponding to $ΔM_{\mathrm HF}(1S) = (59.6 \pm 1.7 \pm 1.6)$ MeV/ $c^{2}$ , the $η_b(1S)$ width $Γ_{η_{b}(1S)} = (8 ^{+6}_{-5} \pm 5)$ MeV/ $c^{2}$ and the branching fraction ${\cal B}[h_b(1P) \to γη_b(1S)]= (56 \pm 8 \pm 4) \%$ .

Inclusive cross sections for pairs of identified light charged hadrons and for single protons in $e^+e^-$ at $\sqrt{s}=$ 10.58 GeV

We report the first double differential cross sections of two charged pions and kaons ( $e^+e^- \rightarrow hhX$ ) in electron-positron annihilation as a function of the fractional energies of the two hadrons for any charge and hadron combination. The dependence of these di-hadron cross sections on the topology (same, opposite-hemisphere or anywhere) is also studied with the help of the event shape variable thrust and its axis. The ratios of these di-hadron cross sections for different charges and hadron combinations directly shed light on the contributing fragmentation functions. For example, we find that the ratio of same-sign pion pairs over opposite-sign pion pairs drops toward higher fractional energies where disfavored fragmentation is expected to be suppressed. These di-hadron results are obtained from a $655\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ data sample collected near the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. Extending the previously published single-pion and single-kaon cross sections, single-proton ( $e^+e^- \rightarrow pX$ ) cross sections are extracted from a $159\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ data sub-sample.

Measurement of $e^+e^- \to γχ_{cJ}$ via initial state radiation at Belle

The process $e^+e^- \to γχ_{cJ}$ ( $J$ =1, 2) is studied via initial state radiation using 980 fb $^{-1}$ of data at and around the $Υ(nS)$ ( $n$ =1, 2, 3, 4, 5) resonances collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. No significant signal is observed except from $ψ(2S)$ decays. Upper limits on the cross sections between $\sqrt{s}=3.80$ and $5.56~{\rm GeV}$ are determined at the 90% credibility level, which range from few pb to a few tens of pb. We also set upper limits on the decay rate of the vector charmonium [ $ψ(4040$ ), $ψ(4160)$ , and $ψ(4415)$ ] and charmoniumlike [ $Y(4260)$ , $Y(4360)$ , and $Y(4660)$ ] states to $γχ_{cJ}$ .

Measurement of Azimuthal Modulations in the Cross-Section of Di-Pion Pairs in Di-Jet Production from Electron-Positron Annihilation

We present an extraction of azimuthal correlations between two pairs of charged pions detected in opposite jets from electron-positron annihilation. These correlations may arise from the dependence of the di-pion fragmentation on the polarization of the parent quark in the process $e^+e^- \rightarrow q \bar{q}$ . Due to the correlation of the quark polarizations, the cross-section of di-pion pair production, in which the pion pairs are detected in opposite jets in a dijet event, exhibits a modulation in the azimuthal angles of the planes containing the hadron pairs with respect to the production plane. The measurement of this modulation allows access to combinations of fragmentation functions that are sensitive to the quark's transverse polarization and helicity. Within our uncertainties we do not observe a significant signal from the previously unmeasured helicity dependent fragmentation function $G_1^\perp$ . This measurement uses a dataset of 938~fb $^{-1}$ collected by the Belle experiment at or near $\sqrt{s}\approx10.58$ GeV.

Measurement of the amplitude ratio of $B^0 \to D^0K^{0}$ and $B^0 \to \bar{D^0}K^{0}$ decays with a model-independent Dalitz plot analysis using $D\to K_S^0π^+π^-$ decays

We report a measurement of the amplitude ratio $r_S$ of $B^0 \to D^0K^{*0}$ and $B^0 \to \bar{D^0}K^{*0}$ decays with a model-independent Dalitz plot analysis using $D\to K_S^0π^+π^-$ decays. Using the full data sample of $772\times10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at KEKB accelerator the upper limit is $r_S < 0.87$ at the 68 % confidence level. This result is the first measurement of $r_S$ with a model-independent Dalitz analysis, and is consistent with results from other analyses. The value of $r_S$ indicates the sensitivity of the decay to $ϕ_3$ because the statistical uncertainty is proportional to $1/r_S$ . The $r_S$ result is obtained from observables ( $x_\pm$ , $y_\pm$ ) \begin{eqnarray} x_- &=& +0.4 ^{+1.0 +0.0}_{-0.6 -0.1} \pm0.0 \\ y_- &=& -0.6 ^{+0.8 +0.1}_{-1.0 -0.0} \pm0.1 \\ x_+ &=& +0.1 ^{+0.7 +0.0}_{-0.4 -0.1} \pm0.1 \\ y_+ &=& +0.3 ^{+0.5 +0.0}_{-0.8 -0.1} \pm0.1 \\ , \end{eqnarray} where $x_\pm = r_S \cos(δ_S \pm ϕ_3)$ , $y_\pm = r_S \sin(δ_S \pm ϕ_3)$ and $ϕ_3 (δ_S)$ are the weak (strong) phase difference between $B^0 \to D^0K^{*0}$ and $B^0 \to \bar{D^0}K^{*0}$ . The first uncertainty is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic and the third is the systematic due to the uncertainties on $c_i$ and $s_i$ parameters measured by CLEO.

Measurement of the branching fraction of B^+ -> tau^+ nu_tau decays with the semileptonic tagging method

We report a measurement of the branching fraction of B^+ -> tau^+ nu_tau decays using a data sample of 772 x 10^6 BBbar pairs, collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider. We reconstruct the accompanying B meson in a semileptonic decay and detect the recoiling B candidate in the decay channel B^+ -> tau^+ nu_tau. We obtain a branching fraction of BR(B^+ -> tau^+ nu_tau) = [1.25 +- 0.28 (stat.) +- 0.27 (syst.)] x 10^-4. This result is in good agreement with previous measurements and the expectation from the calculation based on the Standard Model.

Measurement of the branching ratio of $\bar{B} \to D^{(\ast)} τ^- \barν_τ$ relative to $\bar{B} \to D^{(\ast)} \ell^- \barν_\ell$ decays with hadronic tagging at Belle

We report a measurement of the branching fraction ratios R(D(*)) of Bbar -> D(*) tau- nubar_tau relative to Bbar -> D()* l- nubar_l (where l = e or mu) using the full Belle data sample of 772 x 10^6 BBbar pairs collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. The measured values are R(D)= 0.375 +- 0.064(stat.) +- 0.026(syst.) and R(D*) = 0.293 +- 0.038(stat.) +- 0.015(syst.). The analysis uses hadronic reconstruction of the tag-side B meson and purely leptonic tau decays. The results are consistent with earlier measurements and do not show a significant deviation from the standard model prediction.

Measurements of $B\rightarrow \bar{D} D_{s0} ^{+}(2317)$ decay rates and a search for isospin partners of the $D_{s0}^{+} (2317)$

We report improved measurements of the product branching fractions ${\mathcal B}(B^+\rightarrow\bar{D}^0 D_{s0}^{*+} (2317))\times{\mathcal B}( D_{s0} ^{*+}(2317)\rightarrow D_s^{+}π^0) =(8.0^{+1.3}_{-1.2} \pm 1.1 \pm 0.4)\times 10^{-4}$ and ${\mathcal B}(B^0\rightarrow D^- D_{s0} ^{*+}(2317))\times{\mathcal B}(D_{s0}^{*+}(2317)\rightarrow D_s^{+}π^0) =(10.2^{+1.3}_{-1.2} \pm 1.0 \pm 0.4)\times 10^{-4}$ , where the first errors are statistical, the second are systematic and the third are from $D$ and $D_s$ branching fractions. In addition, we report negative results from a search for hypothesized neutral ( $Z^0$ ) and doubly charged ( $Z^{++}$ ) isospin partners of the $D_{s0}^{*+}(2317)$ and provide upper limits on the product branching fractions ${\mathcal B}(B^0 \rightarrow D^0 z^0)\times{\mathcal B}(z^0\rightarrow D_s^{+}π^-)$ and ${\mathcal B}(B^+\rightarrow D^- z^{++})\times{\mathcal B}(z^{++}\rightarrow D_s^{+}π^+)$ that are more than an order of magnitude smaller than theoretical expectations for the hypotheses that the $D_{s0} ^{*+}(2317)$ is a member of an isospin triplet. The analysis uses a 711 fb $^{-1}$ data sample containing 772 million $B\bar{B}$ meson pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance in the Belle detector at the KEKB collider.

Observation of $B^{0} \rightarrow p\barΛ D^{(*)-}$

We report the first observation of the decays $B^0 \rightarrow p\barΛ D^{(*)-}$ . The data sample of $711$ fb $^{-1}$ used in this analysis corresponds to $772$ million $B\bar{B}$ pairs, collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. We observe $19.8σ$ and $10.8σ$ excesses of events for the two decay modes and measure the branching fractions of $B^0 \rightarrow p\barΛ D^{-}$ and $B^0 \rightarrow p\barΛ D^{*-}$ to be $(25.1\pm2.6\pm3.5)\times10^{-6}$ and $(33.6\pm6.3\pm4.4)\times10^{-6}$ , respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. These results are not compatible with the predictions based on the generalized factorization approach. In addition, a threshold enhancement in the di-baryon ( $p\barΛ$ ) system is observed, consistent with that observed in similar $B$ decays.

Observation of $X(3872)$ in $B \to X(3872) Kπ$ decays

We report the first observation of $B^0 \to X(3872) (K^{+}π^{-})$ and evidence for $B^+ \to X(3872) (K^{0}π^{+})$ . We measure the product of branching fractions for the former to be ${\cal B}(B^0 \to X(3872) (K^+ π^-)) \times {\cal B}(X(3872) \to J/ψπ^+ π^-) = (7.9 \pm 1.3(\mbox{stat.})\pm 0.4(\mbox{syst.})) \times 10^{-6}$ and find that $B^{0}\to X(3872) K^{*}(892)^{0}$ does not dominate the $B^{0}\to X(3872)K^{+}π^{-}$ decay mode. We also measure ${\cal B}(B^+ \to X(3872) (K^0 π^+)) \times {\cal B}(X(3872) \to J/ψπ^+ π^-) = (10.6 \pm 3.0(\mbox{stat.}) \pm 0.9(\mbox{syst.})) \times 10^{-6}$. This study is based on the full data sample of 711~fb $^{-1}$ ( $772\times 10^6 B\bar B$ pairs) collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB collider.

Search for $B^+ \to e^+ ν$ and $B^+ \to μ^+ ν$ decays using hadronic tagging

We present a search for the rare leptonic decays $B^+ \to e^+ ν_e$ and $B^+ \to μ^+ ν_μ$ , using the full $Υ(4S)$ data sample of $772\times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected with the Belle detector at the $\rm {\small KEKB}$ asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. One of the $B$ mesons from the $Υ(4S) \to B\bar{B}$ decay is fully reconstructed in a hadronic mode, while the recoiling side is analyzed for the signal decay. We find no evidence of a signal in any of the decay modes. Upper limits of the corresponding branching fractions are determined as ${\cal B}(B^+ \to e^+ ν_e)<3.5\times 10^{-6}$ and ${\cal B}(B^+ \to μ^+ ν_μ)<2.7 \times 10^{-6}$ at 90 $\%$ confidence level.

Search for B+ -> l+ nu gamma decays with hadronic tagging using the full Belle data sample

We search for the decay B+ -> l+ nu gamma with l+ = e+ or mu+ using the full Belle data set of 772 x 10^6 BBbar pairs, collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We reconstruct one B meson in a hadronic decay mode and search for the B+ -> l+ nu gamma decay in the remainder of the event. We observe no significant signal within the phase space of E_gamma^sig > 1 GeV and obtain upper limits of BR(B+ -> e+ nu gamma) < 6.1 x 10^-6, BR(B+ -> mu+ nu gamma) < 3.4 x 10^-6, and BR(B+ -> l+ nu gamma) < 3.5 x 10^-6 at 90 % credibility level.

Search for the decay $B^+\rightarrow\overline{K}{}^{0}K^{+}$ at Belle

We report a search for the rare charmless decay $B^+\rightarrow\overline{K}{}^{*0}K^{*+}$ using a data sample of $772\times10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. No statistically significant signal is found and a 90% confidence-level upper limit is set on the decay branching fraction as $\mathcal{B}(B^+\rightarrow\overline{K}{}^{*0}K^{*+}) <1.31\times 10^{-6}$ .

Search for the rare decay $D^0\toγγ$ at Belle

We search for the rare radiative decay $D^0\toγγ$ using a data sample with an integrated luminosity of $832{\rm fb^{-1}}$ recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ asymmetric-energy collider. We find no statistically significant signal and set an upper limit on the branching fraction of ${\cal B}(D^0\toγγ)<8.5\times10^{-7}$ at $90\%$ confidence level. This is the most restrictive limit on the decay channel to date.

Semi-inclusive studies of semileptonic $B_s$ decays at Belle

We present an analysis of the semi-inclusive decays $B_s \to D_s^- X \ell^+ ν$ and $B_s \to D_s^{*-} X \ell^+ ν$ , where $X$ denotes a final state that may consist of additional hadrons or photons and $\ell$ is an electron or muon. The studied $B_s$ decays are contained in the $121.4~{\rm fb}^{-1}$ $Υ(5S)$ data sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The branching fractions of the decays are measured to be $\mathcal{B}(B_s \to D_s^- X \ell^+ ν) = [8.2 \pm 0.2 (\text{stat}) \pm 0.6 (\text{syst}) \pm 1.4 (\text{ext})]\%$ and $\mathcal{B}(B_s \to D_s^{*-} X \ell^+ ν) = [5.4 \pm 0.4 (\text{stat}) \pm 0.4 (\text{syst}) \pm 0.9 (\text{ext})]\%$ , where the first two uncertainties are statistical and systematic and the last is due to external parameters. The measurement also provides an estimate of the $B_s^{(*)}\bar{B}_s^{(*)}$ production cross-section, $σ(e^+e^- \to B_s^{(*)}\bar{B}_s^{(*)}) = (53.8 \pm 1.4 (\text{stat}) \pm 4.0 (\text{syst}) \pm 3.4 (\text{ext}))\,{\rm pb}$ , at the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s} = 10.86\,{\rm GeV}$ .

Study of $D^{**}$ production and light hadronic states in the $\bar{B}^0 \to D^{*+} ωπ^-$ decay

We report on the first observations of $\bar{B}^0 \to D_1(2430)^0 ω$ , $\bar{B}^0 \to D_1(2420)^0 ω$ and $\bar{B}^0 \to D^*_2(2460)^0 ω$ decays. The $\bar{B}^0 \to D^{*+} ρ(1450)^-$ decay is also observed. The branching fraction measurements are based on $(771.6 \pm 10.6)\times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ events collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The fractions of longitudinal polarization of the $D^{**}$ states as well as partial wave fractions of the $D_1(2430)^0$ are obtained. We also set a $90\%$ confidence level upper limit for the product of branching fractions of $\mathcal{B}(\bar{B}^0 \to D^{*+} b_1(1235)^-) \times \mathcal{B}(b_1(1235)^- \to ωπ^-)$ . The measurements show evidence of nontrivial final-state interaction phases for the $ρ$ -like amplitudes.

Study of e+e- => B() B()-bar pi+- at sqrt(s)=10.866 GeV

We report the analysis of the three-body e+e- => B B-bar pi, B B*-bar pi, and B* B*-bar pi processes, including the first observation of the Zb+-(10610) =>[B B*-bar+c.c.]+- and Zb+-(10650) => [B*B*-bar]+- transitions. We measure visible cross sections for the three-body production of sigma_vis(e+e- => [B B*-bar+c.c.]+-pi-+=(11.2+-1.0(stat.)+-1.2(syst.)) pb and sigma_vis(e+e- => [B*B*-bar]+-pi-+)=(5.61+-0.73(stat.)+-0.66(syst.)) pb and set a 90% C.L. upper limit of sigma_vis(e+e- => [BB-bar]+-pi-+)<2.1 pb. The results are based on a 121.4 1/fb data sample collected with the Belle detector at a center-of-mass energy near the Y(5S) peak.

Amplitude analysis of e+e- => Y(nS)pi+pi- at sqrt(s)=10.865 GeV

We report results on studies of the e+e- annihilation into three-body Y(nS)pi+pi- (n=1,2,3) final states including measurements of cross sections and the full amplitude analysis. The cross sections measured at sqrt(s)=10.865 GeV and corrected for the initial state radiation are sigma(e+e-=>Y(1S)pi+pi-)=(2.27+-0.12+-0.14) pb, sigma(e+e-=>Y(2S)pi+pi-)=(4.07+-0.16+-0.45) pb, and sigma(e+e-=>Y(3S)pi+pi-)=(1.46+-0.09+-0.16) pb. Amplitude analysis of the three-body Y(nS)pi+pi- final states strongly favors I^G(J^P)=1^+(1^+) quantum-number assignments for the two bottomonium-like Zb+- states, recently observed in the Y(nS)pi+- and hb(mP)pi+- (m=1,2) decay channels. The results are obtained with a $121.4 1/fb data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider.

Evidence of $Υ(1S) \to J/ψ+χ_{c1}$ and search for double-charmonium production in $Υ(1S)$ and $Υ(2S)$ decays

Using data samples of $102\times10^6$ $Υ(1S)$ and $158\times10^6$ $Υ(2S)$ events collected with the Belle detector, a first experimental search has been made for double-charmonium production in the exclusive decays $Υ(1S,2S)\rightarrow J/ψ(ψ')+X$ , where $X=η_c$ , $χ_{cJ} (J=~0,~1,~2)$ , $η_c(2S)$ , $X(3940)$ , and $X(4160)$ . No significant signal is observed in the spectra of the mass recoiling against the reconstructed $J/ψ$ or $ψ'$ except for the evidence of $χ_{c1}$ production with a significance of $4.6σ$ for $Υ(1S)\rightarrow J/ψ+χ_{c1}$ . The measured branching fraction $\BR(Υ(1S)\rightarrow J/ψ+χ_{c1})$ is $(3.90\pm1.21(\rm stat.)\pm0.23 (\rm syst.))\times10^{-6}$ . The $90\%$ confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions of the other modes having a significance of less than $3σ$ are determined. These results are consistent with theoretical calculations using the nonrelativistic QCD factorization approach.

Measurement of the inclusive semileptonic branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(B_s^0 \rightarrow X^- \ell^+ ν_\ell)$ at Belle

We report a measurement of the inclusive semileptonic $B_s^0$ branching fraction in a $121~fb^{-1}$ data sample collected near the $Υ(5S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. Events containing $B_s^0$ pairs are selected by reconstructing a tag side $D_s^+$ and identifying a signal side lepton $\ell^+$ ( $\ell = e, μ$ ) that is required to have the same-sign charge to ensure that both originate from different $B_s^0$ mesons. The $B_s^0 \rightarrow X^- \ell^+ ν_\ell$ branching fraction is extracted from the ratio of the measured yields of $D_s^+$ mesons and $D_s^+ \ell^+$ pairs and the known production and branching fractions. The inclusive semileptonic branching fraction is measured to be $[9.6 \pm 0.4\text{(stat)} \pm 0.7\text{(syst)}]~\%$ .

Measurement of Time-Dependent $CP$ Violation in $B^0\to η'K^0$ Decays

We present a measurement of the time-dependent $CP$ violation parameters in $B^0\toη'K^0$ decays. The measurement is based on the full data sample containing $772\times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance using the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The measured values of the mixing-induced and direct $CP$ violation parameters are: \begin{align} \sin 2 ϕ^{\rm eff}_1 &= +0.68\pm 0.07 \pm 0.03, \nonumber \\ \mathcal{A}_{η'K^0} &= +0.03\pm 0.05\pm 0.04, \nonumber \end{align} where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The values obtained are the most accurate to date. Furthermore, these results are consistent with our previous measurements and with the world-average value of $\sin 2ϕ_1$ measured in $B^0\to J/ψK^0$ decays.}

Measurements of Branching Fractions of $τ$ Lepton Decays with one or more $K^{0}_{S}$

We report measurements of branching fractions of $τ$ lepton decays to final states with a $K^{0}_{S}$ meson using a 669 fb $^{-1}$ data sample accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. The inclusive branching fraction is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(τ^{-} \to K^{0}_{S}\ X^{-} ν_τ)=(9.15 \pm 0.01 \pm 0.15) \times 10^{-3}$ , where $X^{-}$ can be anything; the exclusive branching fractions are $\mathcal{B}(τ^{-} \to π^{-} K^{0}_{S} ν_τ) = (4.16 \pm 0.01 \pm 0.08) \times 10^{-3}$ , $\mathcal{B}(τ^{-} \to K^{-} K^{0}_{S} ν_τ) = (7.40 \pm 0.07 \pm 0.27) \times 10^{-4}$ , $\mathcal{B}(τ^{-} \to π^{-} K^{0}_{S} π^{0} ν_τ) = (1.93 \pm 0.02 \pm 0.07) \times 10^{-3}$ , $\mathcal{B}(τ^{-} \to K^{-} K^{0}_{S} π^{0} ν_τ) = (7.48 \pm 0.10 \pm 0.37)\times 10^{-4}$ , $\mathcal{B}(τ^{-} \to π^{-} K^{0}_{S} K^{0}_{S} ν_τ) = (2.33 \pm 0.03 \pm 0.09) \times 10^{-4}$ , $\mathcal{B}(τ^{-} \to π^{-} K^{0}_{S} K^{0}_{S} π^{0} ν_τ) = (2.00 \pm 0.22 \pm 0.20) \times 10^{-5}$ , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. For each mode, the accuracy is improved over that of pre- $B$ -factory measurements by a factor ranging from five to ten. In $τ^{-} \to π^{-} K^0_S K^0_S π^{0} ν_τ$ decays, clear signals for the intermediate states $τ^{-} \to π^- f_{1}(1285)ν_τ$ and $τ^{-} \to K^{*-}K^{0}_{S} π^{0} ν_τ$ are observed.

Observation of the decay $B^0 \to η' K^*(892)^0$

We report a search for charmless hadronic decays of neutral $B$ mesons to $η' K^{*}(892)^{0}$ . The results are based on a 711fb $^{-1}$ data sample that contains $772\times 10^6 B\overline{B}$ pairs, collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy $e^+e^-$ collider. We observe the decay for the first time with a significance of 5.0 standard deviations and obtain its branching fraction ${\cal B}[B^0\toη' K^{*}(892)^{0}]=[2.6\pm0.7{\rm (stat)}\pm0.2{\rm (syst)}]\times 10^{-6}$ . We also measure the $CP$ violating asymmetry as ${\cal A}_{CP}[B^0\toη' K^{*}(892)^{0}]=-0.22\pm0.29{\rm (stat)}\pm0.07{\rm syst}$ .

Search for $B_{s}^{0}\rightarrowγγ$ and a measurement of the branching fraction for $B_{s}^{0}\rightarrowϕγ$

We search for the decay $B_{s}^{0}\rightarrowγγ$ and measure the branching fraction for $B_{s}^{0}\rightarrowϕγ$ using 121.4~ $\textrm{fb}^{-1}$ of data collected at the $Υ(\mathrm{5}S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. The $B_{s}^{0}\rightarrowϕγ$ branching fraction is measured to be $(3.6 \pm 0.5 (\mathrm{stat.}) \pm 0.3 (\mathrm{syst.}) \pm 0.6 (f_{s})) \times 10^{-5}$ , where $f_{s}$ is the fraction of $B_{s}^{(*)}\bar{B}_{s}^{(*)}$ in $b\bar{b}$ events. Our result is in good agreement with the theoretical predictions as well as with a recent measurement from LHCb. We observe no statistically significant signal for the decay $B_{s}^{0}\rightarrowγγ$ and set a $90\%$ confidence-level upper limit on its branching fraction at $3.1 \times 10^{-6}$ . This constitutes a significant improvement over the previous result.

Updated Cross Section Measurement of $e^+ e^- \to K^+ K^- J/ψ$ and $K_S^0K_S^0J/ψ$ via Initial State Radiation at Belle

The cross sections of the processes $e^+ e^- \to K^+ K^- J/ψ$ and $K_S^0K_S^0J/ψ$ are measured via initial state radiation at center-of-mass energies between the threshold and 6.0~GeV using a data sample of 980~fb $^{-1}$ collected with the Belle detector on or near the $Υ(nS)$ resonances, where $n=$ 1, 2, ..., 5. The cross sections for $e^+ e^- \to K^+ K^- J/ψ$ are at a few pb level and the average cross section for $e^+ e^- \to K_S^0K_S^0J/ψ$ is $1.8\pm 0.6 (\rm stat.)\pm 0.3 (\rm syst.)$ ~pb between 4.4 and 5.2~GeV. All of them are consistent with previously published results with improved precision. A search for resonant structures and associated intermediate states in the cross section of the process $e^+ e^- \to K^+ K^- J/ψ$ is performed.

Evidence for B_s^0 -> Lambda_c^+ Lambda-bar pi^-

Using 121.4 fb^{-1} of data collected with the Belle detector at the Y(5S) resonance at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider, we report evidence for the B_s^0 -> Lambda_c^+ Lambda-bar pi^- decay mode with a measured branching fraction (3.6 +- 1.1[stat.] {+0.3 -0.5}[syst.] +- 0.9[Lambda_c^+] +- 0.7[N_{Bs}]) * 10^{-4} and a significance of 4.4 standard deviations. This is the first evidence for a baryonic B_s^0 decay.

Evidence for B- -> tau- nu_tau-bar with a Hadronic Tagging Method Using the Full Data Sample of Belle

We measure the branching fraction of B- -> tau- nu_tau-bar using the full Upsilon(4S) data sample containing 772*10^6 BBbar pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. Events with BBbar pairs are tagged by reconstructing one of the B mesons decaying into hadronic final states, and B- -> tau- nu_tau-bar candidates are detected in the recoil. We find evidence for B- -> tau- nu_tau-bar with a significance of 3.0 standard deviations including systematic errors and measure a branching fraction B(B- -> tau- nu_tau-bar) = [0.72^{+0.27}_{-0.25}(stat) +/- 0.11(syst)] * 10^-4.

Evidence for the decay B0 --> K+K-pi0

We report a search for charmless hadronic decays of neutral B mesons to the final state K+K-pi0. The results are based on a 711 fb^-1 data sample that contains 772x10^6 BB-bar pairs, and was collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We find the first evidence for this decay with a significance of 3.5 standard deviations and measure its branching fraction as BF(B0 --> K+K-pi0) = [2.17 +/- 0.60(stat) +/- 0.24 (syst)]x10^-6.

Evidence of a new narrow resonance decaying to $χ_{c1}γ$ in $B \to χ_{c1} γK$

We report measurements of $B \to χ_{c1} γK$ and $χ_{c2} γK$ decays using $772 \times 10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ events collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. Evidence of a new resonance in the $χ_{c1} γ$ final state is found with a statistical significance of $3.8 σ$ . This state has a mass of $3823.1 \pm 1.8 {(stat)} \pm 0.7 {(syst)}$ MeV/ $c^2$ , a value that is consistent with theoretical expectations for the previously unseen $1^3 D_2$ $c\bar{c}$ meson. We find no other narrow resonance and set upper limits on the branching fractions of the $X(3872) \to χ_{c1} γ$ and $χ_{c2} γ$ decays.

Experimental constraints on the spin and parity of the Z(4430)+

We perform a full amplitude analysis of B0 -> psi' K+ pi- decays, with psi' -> mu+ mu- or e+ e-, to constrain the spin and parity of the Z(4430)-. The J^P=1+ hypothesis is favored over the 0-, 1-, 2- and 2+ hypotheses at the levels of 3.4 sigma, 3.7 sigma, 4.7 sigma and 5.1 sigma, respectively. The analysis is based on a 711 fb^-1 data sample that contains 772x10^6 B B pairs, collected at the Y(4S) resonance by the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy e+ e- collider KEKB.

First Observation of Cabibbo-Suppressed Ξ_c^0 Decays

We report the first observation of the Cabibbo-suppressed decays $Ξ_c^0\rightarrow Ξ^- K^+$ , $Ξ_c^0\raΛK^+ K^-$ and $Ξ_c^0\rightarrow Λϕ$ , using a data sample of $711\, \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We measure the ratios of branching fractions to be $\frac{{\cal B}(Ξ_c^0\ra Ξ^- K^+)}{{\cal B}(Ξ^0_c\raΞ^-π^+)}=(2.75\pm 0.51\pm 0.25)\times 10^{-2}$, $\frac{{\cal B}(Ξ_c^0\raΛK^+ K^-)}{{\cal B}(Ξ_c^0\rightarrowΞ^- π^+)}=(2.86\pm 0.61\pm 0.24)\times 10^{-2}$ and $\frac{{\cal B}(Ξ_c^0\ra Λϕ)}{{\cal B}(Ξ^0_c\raΞ^-π^+)}=(3.43\pm 0.58\pm 0.32)\times 10^{-2}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.

Measurement of exclusive $Υ(1S)$ and $Υ(2S)$ decays into Vector-Pseudoscalar final states

Using samples of 102 million $Υ(1S)$ and 158 million $Υ(2S)$ events collected with the Belle detector, we study exclusive hadronic decays of these two bottomonium resonances to $\ks K^+ π^-$ and charge-conjugate (c.c.) states, $π^+ π^- π^0 π^0$ , and $π^+ π^- π^0$ , and to the two-body Vector-Pseudoscalar ( $K^{\ast}(892)^0\bar{K}^0+ {\rm c.c.}$ , $K^{\ast}(892)^-K^+ + {\rm c.c.}$ , $ωπ^0$ , and $ρπ$ ) final states. For the first time, signals are observed in the modes $Υ(1S) \to \ks K^+ π^- + {\rm c.c.}$, $π^+ π^- π^0 π^0$ , and $Υ(2S) \to π^+ π^- π^0 π^0$ , and evidence is found for the modes $Υ(1S)\to π^+ π^- π^0$ , $K^{\ast}(892)^0 \bar{K}^0+ {\rm c.c.}$ , and $Υ(2S) \to \ks K^+ π^- + {\rm c.c.}$ Branching fractions are measured for all the processes, while 90% confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions are also set for the modes with a statistical significance of less than $3σ$ . The ratios of the branching fractions of $Υ(2S)$ and $Υ(1S)$ decays into the same final state are used to test a perturbative QCD prediction for OZI-suppressed bottomonium decays.

Measurement of the CP Violation Parameters in B0 -> pi+ pi- Decays

We present a measurement of the time-dependent charge-parity (CP) violation parameters in B0 -> pi+ pi- decays. The results are obtained from the final data sample containing 772 million BBbar pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We obtain the CP violation parameters Acp = +0.33 +/- 0.06 (stat) +/- 0.03 (syst) and Scp = -0.64 +/- 0.08 (stat) +/- 0.03 (syst), where Acp and Scp represent the direct and mixing-induced CP asymmetry, respectively. Using an isospin analysis including results from other Belle measurements, we find 23.8 < phi2 < 66.8 degrees is disfavored at the 1 sigma level, where phi2 is one of the three interior angles of the CKM unitarity triangle related to B_{u,d} decays.

Precise measurement of the branching fractions for Bs->Ds()+ Ds()- and first measurement of the Ds+ Ds- polarization using e+e- collisions

We have made a precise measurement of the absolute branching fractions of Bs->Ds(*)+ Ds(*)- decays using 121.4 fb-1 of data recorded by the Belle experiment running on the Upsilon(5S) resonance. The results are B(Bs0->Ds+ Ds-) = (0.58 +0.11 -0.09 +-0.13)%, B(Bs0->Ds*+- Ds-+) = (1.8 +-0.2 +-0.4)%, and B(Bs0->Ds*+ Ds*-) = (2.0 +-0.3 +-0.5)%; the sum is B(Bs0->Ds(*)+ Ds(*)- = (4.3 +-0.4 +-1.0)%. Assuming Bs->Ds(*)+ Ds(*)- saturates decays to CP-even final states, the branching fraction constrains the ratio Delta(Gamma_s)/cos(phi_s), where Delta(Gamma_s) is the difference in widths between the two Bs0-Bs0bar mass eigenstates, and phi_s is the CP-violating phase in Bs0-Bs0bar mixing. For phi_s=0 we obtain Delta(Gamma_s)/Gamma_s = 0.090 +-0.009 (stat.) +-0.023 (syst.), where Gamma_s is the mean decay width. We also measure for the first time the longitudinal polarization fraction of Bs->Ds*+ Ds*-; the result is 0.12 +0.30 -0.28 +0.04 -0.05.

Search for B -> h(*) nu nubar with the full Belle Y(4S) data sample

We report a search for the rare decays B -> h(*) nu nubar, where h(*) stands for K+, Ks0, K*+, K*0, pi+, pi0, rho+, rho0 and phi. The results are obtained from a 711 fb-1 data sample that contains 772 million BB pairs collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- collider. We search for signal candidates by fully reconstructing a hadronic decay of the accompanying B meson and requiring a single h(*) meson left on the signal side. No significant signal is observed and we set upper limits on the branching fractions at 90% confidence level. The measurements of B+ -> K*+ nu nubar, B+ -> pi+ nu nubar, B0 -> pi0 nu nubar and B0 -> rho^0 nu nubar provide the world's currently most restrictive limits.

Search for CP Violation in the Decay $D^+\rightarrow K^0_S K^+$

We search for CP violation in the decay $D^+\rightarrow K^0_S K^+$ using a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 977 fb $^{-1}$ collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ asymmetric-energy collider. No CP violation has been observed and the CP asymmetry in $D^+\rightarrow K^0_S K^+$ decay is measured to be $(-0.25\pm0.28\pm0.14)%$ , which is the most sensitive measurement to date. After subtracting CP violation due to $K^0-\bar{K}^0$ mixing, the CP asymmetry in $D^+\rightarrow\bar{K}^0 K^+$ decay is found to be $(+0.08\pm0.28\pm0.14)%$ .

Search for Lepton-Flavor-Violating and Lepton-Number-Violating tau to lhh' Decay Modes

We search for lepton-flavor-violating and lepton-number-violating tau decays into a lepton (l = electron or muon) and two charged mesons (h, h' = pion or Kaon) using 854 fb^{-1} of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider. We obtain 90% confidence level upper limits on the tau to lhh' branching fractions in the range (2.0-8.4)*10^{-8}. These results improve upon our previously published upper limits by factors of about 1.8 on average.

Study of $e^+ e^- \to π^+ π^- J/ψ$ and Observation of a Charged Charmonium-like State at Belle

The cross section for $e^+ e^- \to π^+ π^- J/ψ$ between 3.8 GeV and 5.5 GeV is measured with a 967 fb $^{-1}$ data sample collected by the Belle detector at or near the $Υ(nS)$ ( $n = 1,\ 2,\ ...,\ 5$ ) resonances. The Y(4260) state is observed, and its resonance parameters are determined. In addition, an excess of $π^+ π^- J/ψ$ production around 4 GeV is observed. This feature can be described by a Breit-Wigner parameterization with properties that are consistent with the Y(4008) state that was previously reported by Belle. In a study of $Y(4260) \to π^+ π^- J/ψ$ decays, a structure is observed in the $M(π^\pm\jpsi)$ mass spectrum with $5.2σ$ significance, with mass $M=(3894.5\pm 6.6\pm 4.5) {\rm MeV}/c^2$ and width $Γ=(63\pm 24\pm 26)$ MeV/ $c^{2}$ , where the errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. This structure can be interpreted as a new charged charmonium-like state.

Study of Exclusive B->X_u l nu Decays and Extraction of |V_{ub}| using Full Reconstruction Tagging at the Belle Experiment

We report the results of a study of the exclusive semileptonic decays B->pi0lnu, B->pi+lnu, B->rho0lnu, B->rho+lnu and B->omegalnu, where l represents an electron or a muon. The events are tagged by fully reconstructing a second B meson in the event in a hadronic decay mode. The measured branching fractions are Br(B->pi0lnu) = (0.80 +- 0.08 +- 0.04)x10^-4, Br(B->pi+lnu) = (1.49 +- 0.09 +- 0.07)x10^-4, Br(B->rho0lnu) = (1.83 +- 0.10 +- 0.10)x10^-4, Br(B->rho+lnu) = (3.22 +- 0.27 +- 0.24)x10^-4, and Br(B->omegalnu) =(1.07 +- 0.16 +- 0.07)x10^-4, where the first error is statistical and the second one is systematic. The obtained branching fractions are inclusive of soft photon emission. We also determine the branching fractions as a function of the 4-momentum transfer squared to the leptonic system q^2=(p_l+p_nu)^2, where p_l and p_nu are the lepton and neutrino 4-momenta, respectively. Using the pion modes, a recent LCSR calculation, lattice QCD results and a model-independent description of the hadronic form factor, a value of the CKM matrix element |V_{ub}| = (3.52 +- 0.29)x10^-3 is extracted. For the first time, a charmless state with invariant mass greater than 1 GeV/c^2, which might be dominated by the decay B->f2lnu, is observed. These results are obtained from a 711 1/fb data sample that contains 772 millions BB pairs, collected near the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+ e^- collider.

Evidence for a Zb0(10610) in Dalitz analysis of Y(5S) -> Y(nS) pi0 pi0

We report the first observation of Y(5S) -> Y(1,2S) pi0 pi0 decays. Evidence for the Zb0(10610) with 4.9sigma significance is found in a Dalitz plot analysis of Y(5S) -> Y(2S) pi0 pi0 decays. The results are obtained with a 121.4 fb^-1 data sample collected with the Belle detector at the Y(5S) resonance at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider.

Evidence for B- -> Ds+ K- l- nubar and search for B- -> Ds*+ K- l- nubar

We report measurements of the decays B- -> Ds(*)+ K- l- nubar in a data sample containing 657x10^6 BBbar pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We observe a signal with a significance of 6 sigma for the combined Ds and Ds* modes and find the first evidence of the B- -> Ds+ K- l- nubar decay with a significance of 3.4 sigma. We measure the following branching fractions: BF(B- -> Ds+ K- l nubar) = (0.30 +/- 0.09(stat) +0.11 -0.08(syst)) x 10^-3 and BF(B- -> Ds*+ K- l- nubar) = (0.59 +/- 0.12(stat) +/- 0.15(syst)) x 10^-3 and set an upper limit BF(B- -> Ds*+ K- l- nubar) < 0.56 x 10^-3 at the 90% confidence level. We also present the first measurement of the Ds+K- invariant mass distribution in these decays, which is dominated by a prominent peak around 2.6 GeV/c^2.

Evidence for the eta_b(2S) and observation of h_b(1P) -> eta_b(1S) gamma and h_b(2P) -> eta_b(1S) gamma

We report the first evidence for the eta_b(2S) using the h_b(2P)->eta_b(2S)gamma transition and the first observation of the h_b(1P)->eta_b(1S)gamma and h_b(2P)->eta_b(1S)gamma transitions. The mass and width of the eta_b(1S) and eta_b(2S) are measured to be m_etab(1S)=(9402.4+-1.5+-1.8)MeV/c^2, m_etab(2S)=(9999.0+-3.5 +2.8-1.9)MeV/c^2 and Gamma_etab(1S)=(10.8 +4.0-3.7 +4.5-2.0)MeV. We also update the h_b(1P) and h_b(2P) mass measurements. We use a 133.4/fb data sample collected at energies near the Upsilon(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider.

First Measurement of phi_3 with a Model-independent Dalitz Plot Analysis of B->DK, D->KsPiPi Decay

We present the first measurement of the angle phi_3 of the Unitarity Triangle using a model-independent Dalitz plot analysis of B->DK, D->KsPiPi decays. The method uses an input measurements of the strong phase of the D->KsPiPi amplitude from the CLEO collaboration. The result is based on the full data set of 772x10^6 BBbar pairs collected by the Belle experiment at the Upsilon(4S) resonance. We obtain phi_3 = (77.3^{+15.1}_{-14.9} +- 4.1 +- 4.3)^{\circ} and the suppressed amplitude ratio r_B = 0.145 +- 0.030 +- 0.010 +- 0.011. Here the first error is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty, and the third is the error due to the precision of the strong-phase parameters obtained by CLEO.

First observation of CP violation and improved measurement of the branching fraction and polarization of B0 -> D+ D- decays

We report the measurement of the branching fraction, the polarization, and the parameters of the time-dependent CP violation in B0 -> D*+ D*- decays using a data sample of 772 million BB pairs, collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We obtain a branching fraction of B = (7.82 +- 0.38 +- 0.63) x10^{-4}, a CP-odd fraction of R_\perp = 0.138 +- 0.024 +- 0.006 and, additionally, a fraction of the longitudinal component in the transversity base of R_0 = 0.624 +- 0.029 +- 0.011. The measured values of the parameters of the CP violation are S_{D*+ D*-} = -0.79 +- 0.13 +- 0.03 and A_{D*+ D*-} = 0.15 +- 0.08 +- 0.04.

Measurement of $B^0 \to J/ψη^{(}{}'{}^{)}$ and Constraint on the $η-η'$ Mixing Angle

We measure the branching fractions of $B^{0} \to J/ψη^{(}{}'{}^{)}$ decays with the complete Belle data sample of $772 \times 10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ events collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. The results for the branching fractions are: ${\cal B}(B^{0} \to J/ψη)=(12.3 \pm ^{1.8}_{1.7} \pm 0.7) \times 10^{-6}$ and ${\cal B}(B^{0} \to J/ψη') < 7.4 \times 10^{-6}$ at 90% confidence level. The $η-η'$ mixing angle is constrained to be less than $42.2^{\circ}$ at 90% confidence level.

Measurement of gamma gamma* --> pi0 transition form factor at Belle

We report a measurement of the process gamma gamma* --> pi0 with a 759 fb^{-1} data sample recorded with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. The pion transition form factor, F(Q^2), is measured for the kinematical region 4 GeV^2 <~ Q^2 <~ 40 GeV^2, where -Q^2 is the invariant mass squared of a virtual photon. The measured values of Q^2|F(Q^2)| agree well with the previous measurements below Q^2 ~= 9 GeV^2 but do not exhibit the rapid growth in the higher Q^2 region seen in another recent measurement, which exceeds the asymptotic QCD expectation by as much as 50%.

Measurement of the CP-violation Parameter sin2 $ϕ_1$ with a New Tagging Method at the $Υ(5S)$ Resonance

We report a measurement of the CP-violation parameter sin2 $ϕ_1$ at the $Υ(5S)$ resonance using a new tagging method, called " $B$ - $π$ tagging." In $Υ(5S)$ decays containing a neutral $B$ meson, a charged $B$ , and a charged pion, the neutral $B$ is reconstructed in the $J/ψK_S^0$ CP-eigenstate decay channel. The initial flavor of the neutral $B$ meson at the moment of the $Υ(5S)$ decay is opposite to that of the charged $B$ and may thus be inferred from the charge of the pion without reconstructing the charged $B$ . From the asymmetry between $B$ - $π^+$ and $B$ - $π^-$ tagged $J/ψK_S^0$ yields, we determine sin2 $ϕ_1$ = 0.57 $\pm$ 0.58(stat) $\pm$ 0.06(syst). The results are based on 121 fb $^{-1}$ of data recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+ e^-$ collider.

Measurements of Branching Fractions and Time-dependent CP Violating Asymmetries in $B^{0} \to D^{(*)\pm}D^{\mp}$ Decays

We report measurements of branching fractions and time-dependent CP asymmetries in $B^{0} \to D^{+}D^{-}$ and $B^{0} \to D^{*\pm}D^{\mp}$ decays using a data sample that contains $(772 \pm 11)\times 10^6 B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We determine the branching fractions to be $\mathcal{B}(B^{0} \to D^{+}D^{-})=(2.12 \pm 0.16 \pm 0.18)\times 10^{-4}$ and $\mathcal{B}(B^{0} \to D^{*\pm}D^{\mp}=(6.14 \pm 0.29 \pm 0.50)\times 10^{-4}$ . We measure CP asymmetry parameters $\mathcal{S}_{D^{+}D^{-}} = -1.06_{-0.14}^{+0.21} \pm 0.08$ and $\mathcal{C}_{D^{+}D^{-}} = -0.43 \pm 0.16 \pm 0.05$ in $B^{0} \to D^{+}D^{-}$ and $\mathcal{A}_{D^{*}D} = +0.06 \pm 0.05 \pm 0.02$ , $\mathcal{S}_{D^{*}D} = -0.78 \pm 0.15 \pm 0.05$ , $\mathcal{C}_{D^{*}D} = -0.01 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.04$ , $Δ\mathcal{S}_{D^{*}D} = -0.13 \pm 0.15 \pm 0.04$ and $Δ\mathcal{C}_{D^{*}D} = +0.12 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.03$ in $B^{0} \to D^{*\pm}D^{\mp}$ , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. We exclude the conservation of CP symmetry in both decays at equal to or greater than $4σ$ significance.

Precise measurement of the CP violation parameter sin2phi_1 in B0-->(c\bar c)K0 decays

We present a precise measurement of the CP violation parameter sin2phi_1 and the direct CP violation parameter A_f using the final data sample of 772x10^6 B\bar B pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. One neutral B meson is reconstructed in a J/psi K0S, psi(2S) K0S, chi_c1 K0S or J/psi K0L CP-eigenstate and its flavor is identified from the decay products of the accompanying B meson. From the distribution of proper time intervals between the two B decays, we obtain the following CP violation parameters: sin2phi_1=0.667+-0.023(stat)+-0.012(syst) and A_f=0.006+-0.016(stat)+-0.012(syst).

Search for $B^{0}$ decays to invisible final states at Belle

We report a search for $B^{0}$ decays into invisible final states using a data sample of $657 \times 10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. The signal is identified by fully reconstructing a hadronic decay of the accompanying $B$ meson and requiring no other particles in the event. No significant signal is observed, and we obtain an upper limit of $1.3 \times 10^{-4}$ at the 90% confidence level for the branching fraction of invisible $B^{0}$ decay.

Search for B -> phi pi decays

We report on a search for the charmless decays $B^{+} \toϕπ^{+}$ and $B^{0} \toϕπ^{0}$ that are strongly suppressed in the Standard Model. The analysis is based on a data sample of $657 \times 10^6$ $B \bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We find no significant signal and set upper limits of $3.3 \times 10^{-7}$ for $B^{+} \to ϕπ^{+}$ and $1.5 \times 10^{-7}$ for $B^0 \to ϕπ^0$ at the 90% confidence level.

Search for the decay $B^0\to DK^{*0}$ followed by $D\to K^-π^+$

We report a study of the decay $B^0\rightarrow D K^+π^-$ followed by $D\rightarrow K^-π^+$ , where $D$ indicates $D^0$ or $\bar{D}^0$ . We reconstruct the $D K^+π^-$ state in a phase space corresponding to $D K^{*}(892)^0$ . The CP-violating angle $ϕ_3$ affects its decay rate via the interference between $b\rightarrow u$ and $b\rightarrow c$ transitions. The result is obtained from a 711 ${\rm fb}^{-1}$ data sample that contains 772 $\times 10^6 B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $Υ(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We measure the ratio ${\cal R}_{DK^{*0}} \equiv Γ(B^0\rightarrow [K^-π^+]_DK^+π^-)/Γ(B^0\rightarrow [K^+π^-]_DK^+π^-)$ to be $(4.1 ^{+ 5.6 + 2.8}_{- 5.0 - 1.8}) \times 10^{-2}$ , and set an upper limit of ${\cal R}_{DK^{*0}} < 0.16$ at the 95% confidence level.

Search for Time-Dependent CPT Violation in Hadronic and Semileptonic B Decays

We report a new sensitive search for CPT violation, which includes improved measurements of the CPT-violating parameter z and the total decay-width difference normalized to the averaged width DeltaGamma_d/Gamma_d of the two Bd mass eigenstates. The results are based on a data sample of 535 x 10^6 BBbar pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider. We obtain Re(z) = [+1.9 +/- 3.7 (stat) +/- 3.3 (syst)] x 10^{-2}, Im(z) = [-5.7 +/- 3.3 (stat) +/- 3.3 (syst)] x 10^{-3}, and DeltaGamma_d/Gamma_d = [-1.7 +/- 1.8 (stat) +/- 1.1 (syst)] x 10^{-2}, all of which are consistent with zero. This is the most precise single measurement of these parameters in the neutral B-meson system to date.

Study of the Hadronic Transitions $Υ$ (2S) $\rightarrow (η,π^0)Υ$ (1S) at Belle

We study the rare hadronic transitions $Υ(2S)\rightarrow Υ(1S)η$ and $Υ(2S)\rightarrow Υ(1S)π^0$ using a sample of 158 $\times 10^6$ $Υ(2S)$ decays collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We observe the $η$ meson decay to $γγ$ and $π^+π^-π^0$ final states; the $Υ(1S)$ is reconstructed in the $μ^+μ^-$ and $e^+e^-$ decay modes. We measure the ratios of branching fractions ( ${\mathcal B}$ ) $\frac{{\mathcal B}(Υ(2S)\rightarrowΥ(1S)η)}{{\mathcal B}(Υ(2S)\rightarrowΥ(1S)π^+π^-)}$ = (1.99 $\pm$ 0.14 (stat) $\pm$ 0.11 (syst)) $\times 10^{-3}$ and $\frac{{\mathcal B}(Υ(2S)\rightarrowΥ(1S)π^0)}{{\mathcal B}(Υ(2S)\rightarrowΥ(1S)π^+π^-)} < 2.3 \times 10^{-4}$ at the 90% confidence level (CL). Assuming the value ${\mathcal B}(Υ(2S) \rightarrow Υ(1S)π^-π^+)$ = (17.92 $\pm$ 0.26)%, we obtain ${\mathcal B}(Υ(2S)\rightarrowΥ(1S)η) = (3.57 \pm 0.25 ({\rm stat})\ \pm 0.21 ({\rm syst}))\times 10^{-4}$ and $ {\mathcal B}(Υ(2S)\rightarrowΥ(1S)π^0) < 4.1\times 10^{-5}\ ({\rm 90%\ CL}). $

Study of Three-Body Y(10860) Decays

We report preliminary results on the analysis of the three-body Y(10860)=> B barB pi, Y(10860) => (B barB* + c.c.) pi and Y(10860)=> B* barB* pi decays including an observation of the Y(10860)=> Zb(10610)+- pi-+ => [B barB*+c.c]+- pi-+ and Y(10860)=> Zb(10650)+- pi-+ => [B* barB*]+- pi-+ decays as intermediate channels. We measure branching fractions of the three-body decays to be Br(Y(10860)=> [B barB*+c.c.]+- pi-+)=(28.3+-2.9+-4.6)x10^{-3} and Br(Y(10860)=> [B* barB*]+- pi-+)=(14.1+-1.9+-2.4)x10^{-3} and set 90% C.L. upper limit Br(Y(10860)=> [B barB]+- pi-+)<4.0x10^{-3}. We also report results on the amplitude analysis of the three-body Y(10860)=>Y(nS)pi+pi-, n=1,2,3 decays and the analysis of the internal structure of the three-body Y(10860)=>hb(mP)pi+pi-, m=1,2 decays. The results are based on a 121.4 1/fb data sample collected with the Belle detector at a center-of-mass energy near the Y(10860).

Observation of B- to pbar Lambda D0 at Belle

We study B- meson decays to pbar Lambda D(*)0 final states using a sample of 657 * 10^6 B Bbar events collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+ e- collider. The observed branching fraction for B- to pbar Lambda D0 is (1.43^ +0.28_-0.25 +- 0.18)*10^-5. with a significance of 8.1 standard deviations, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. Most of the signal events have the pbarLambda mass peaking near threshold. No significant signal is observed for B- to pbar Lambda D*0 and the corresponding upper limit on the branching fraction is 4.8 * 10^-5 at the 90% confidence level.

Search for CP Violation in D Meson Decays to phi pi+

We search for CP violation in Cabibbo-suppressed charged D meson decays by measuring the difference between the CP violating asymmetries for the Cabibbo-suppressed decays D+ -> K+K-pi+ and the Cabibbo-favored decays Ds -> K+K-pi+ in the K+K- mass region of the phi resonance. Using 955/fb of data collected with the Belle detector we obtain A_CP(D+ -> phi pi+) = (+0.51 +- 0.28 +- 0.05)%. The measurement improves the sensitivity of previous searches by more than a factor of five. We find no evidence for direct CP violation.

Belle II Technical Design Report

The Belle detector at the KEKB electron-positron collider has collected almost 1 billion Y(4S) events in its decade of operation. Super-KEKB, an upgrade of KEKB is under construction, to increase the luminosity by two orders of magnitude during a three-year shutdown, with an ultimate goal of 8E35 /cm^2 /s luminosity. To exploit the increased luminosity, an upgrade of the Belle detector has been proposed. A new international collaboration Belle-II, is being formed. The Technical Design Report presents physics motivation, basic methods of the accelerator upgrade, as well as key improvements of the detector.
