Revealing Bosonic Exchange Symmetry in Two-Photon Temporal Wavefunction

The wavefunction of two identical bosons remains invariant under particle exchange - a fundamental quantum symmetry that underlies Bose-Einstein statistics. We report the direct experimental observation of bosonic exchange symmetry in the temporal wavefunction of photon pairs generated via spontaneous four-wave mixing in a three-level cold atomic ensemble. The measured two-photon temporal correlations show excellent agreement with theoretical predictions based on symmetrized bosonic wavefunctions. In addition, we perform time-resolved two-photon interference to reconstruct the complex temporal wavefunction. Both the amplitude and phase profiles exhibit clear symmetry under photon exchange, providing a direct confirmation of bosonic exchange symmetry in the time domain.

BacHMMachine: An Interpretable and Scalable Model for Algorithmic Harmonization for Four-part Baroque Chorales

Algorithmic harmonization - the automated harmonization of a musical piece given its melodic line - is a challenging problem that has garnered much interest from both music theorists and computer scientists. One genre of particular interest is the four-part Baroque chorales of J.S. Bach. Methods for algorithmic chorale harmonization typically adopt a black-box, "data-driven" approach: they do not explicitly integrate principles from music theory but rely on a complex learning model trained with a large amount of chorale data. We propose instead a new harmonization model, called BacHMMachine, which employs a "theory-driven" framework guided by music composition principles, along with a "data-driven" model for learning compositional features within this framework. As its name suggests, BacHMMachine uses a novel Hidden Markov Model based on key and chord transitions, providing a probabilistic framework for learning key modulations and chordal progressions from a given melodic line. This allows for the generation of creative, yet musically coherent chorale harmonizations; integrating compositional principles allows for a much simpler model that results in vast decreases in computational burden and greater interpretability compared to state-of-the-art algorithmic harmonization methods, at no penalty to quality of harmonization or musicality. We demonstrate this improvement via comprehensive experiments and Turing tests comparing BacHMMachine to existing methods.

Direct Hydrogen Production from Water/Seawater by Irradiation/Vibration-Activated Using Defective Ferroelectric BaTiO3-x Nanoparticles

Hydrogen is a promising fossil-fuel alternative fuel owing to its environmentally neutral emissions and high energy density. However, the need for purified water and external power are critical hindrances to implementation of hydrogen production. The present work reveals the potential to overcome these shortcomings through piezo-photocatalysis of seawater using BaTiO3-x (BTO) nanoparticles. This material was made piezoelectrically active by annealing under different atmospheres, including O2, N2, Ar, and H2, the latter of which caused Ti4+ to Ti(4-x)+ multiple reductions and structural expansions that stabilized piezoelectric tetragonal BTO domains. The resultant defect equilibria combine ionic and electron effects, including Ti redox reactions, charge-compensating surface oxygen vacancy formation, and color centre alterations. Further, variety of experimental techniques revealed the effects of reduction on the energy band structure. A strong piezoelectric effect and the presence of self-polarization were confirmed by piezoresponse force microscopy, while simulation work clarified the role of vibration on band bending deriving from the former. The performance data contrasted H2 evolution using deionized (DI) water, simulated seawater, and natural seawater subjected to photocatalysis, piezocatalysis, and piezo-photocatalysis. An efficient H2 evolution rate of 132.4 micromol/g/h was achieved from DI water using piezo-photocatalysis for 5 h. In contrast, piezocatalysis for 2 h followed by piezo-photocatalysis for 3 h resulted in H2 evolution rates of 100.7 micromol/g/h for DI water, 63.4 micromol/g/h for simulated seawater, and 48.7 micromol/g/h for natural seawater. This work provides potential new strategies for large-scale green H2 production using abundant natural resources with conventional piezoelectric material while leveraging the effects of ions dissolved in seawater.

ReverseORC: Reverse Engineering of Resizable User Interface Layouts with OR-Constraints

Reverse engineering (RE) of user interfaces (UIs) plays an important role in software evolution. However, the large diversity of UI technologies and the need for UIs to be resizable make this challenging. We propose ReverseORC, a novel RE approach able to discover diverse layout types and their dynamic resizing behaviours independently of their implementation, and to specify them by using OR constraints. Unlike previous RE approaches, ReverseORC infers flexible layout constraint specifications by sampling UIs at different sizes and analyzing the differences between them. It can create specifications that replicate even some non-standard layout managers with complex dynamic layout behaviours. We demonstrate that ReverseORC works across different platforms with very different layout approaches, e.g., for GUIs as well as for the Web. Furthermore, it can be used to detect and fix problems in legacy UIs, extend UIs with enhanced layout behaviours, and support the creation of flexible UI layouts.

SDFDiff: Differentiable Rendering of Signed Distance Fields for 3D Shape Optimization

We propose SDFDiff, a novel approach for image-based shape optimization using differentiable rendering of 3D shapes represented by signed distance functions (SDFs). Compared to other representations, SDFs have the advantage that they can represent shapes with arbitrary topology, and that they guarantee watertight surfaces. We apply our approach to the problem of multi-view 3D reconstruction, where we achieve high reconstruction quality and can capture complex topology of 3D objects. In addition, we employ a multi-resolution strategy to obtain a robust optimization algorithm. We further demonstrate that our SDF-based differentiable renderer can be integrated with deep learning models, which opens up options for learning approaches on 3D objects without 3D supervision. In particular, we apply our method to single-view 3D reconstruction and achieve state-of-the-art results.

Ultrahigh quality infrared polaritonic resonators based on bottom-up-synthesized van der Waals nanoribbons

van der Waals nanomaterials supporting phonon polariton quasiparticles possess unprecedented light confinement capabilities, making them ideal systems for molecular sensing, thermal emission, and subwavelength imaging applications, but they require defect-free crystallinity and nanostructured form factors to fully showcase these capabilities. We introduce bottom-up-synthesized α-MoO3 structures as nanoscale phonon polaritonic systems that feature tailorable morphologies and crystal qualities consistent with bulk single crystals. α-MoO3 nanoribbons serve as low-loss hyperbolic Fabry-Pérot nanoresonators, and we experimentally map hyperbolic resonances over four Reststrahlen bands spanning the far- and mid-infrared spectral range, including resonance modes beyond the tenth order. The measured quality factors are the highest from phonon polaritonic van der Waals structures to date. We anticipate that bottom-up-synthesized polaritonic van der Waals nanostructures will serve as an enabling high-performance and low-loss platform for infrared optical and optoelectronic applications.

SEPAL: Towards a Large-scale Analysis of SEAndroid Policy Customization

To investigate the status quo of SEAndroid policy customization, we propose SEPAL, a universal tool to automatically retrieve and examine the customized policy rules. SEPAL applies the NLP technique and employs and trains a wide&deep model to quickly and precisely predict whether one rule is unregulated or not.Our evaluation shows SEPAL is effective, practical and scalable. We verify SEPAL outperforms the state of the art approach (i.e., EASEAndroid) by 15% accuracy rate on average. In our experiments, SEPAL successfully identifies 7,111 unregulated policy rules with a low false positive rate from 595,236 customized rules (extracted from 774 Android firmware images of 72 manufacturers). We further discover the policy customization problem is getting worse in newer Android versions (e.g., around 8% for Android 7 and nearly 20% for Android 9), even though more and more efforts are made. Then, we conduct a deep study and discuss why the unregulated rules are introduced and how they can compromise user devices. Last, we report some unregulated rules to seven vendors and so far four of them confirm our findings.

ORCSolver: An Efficient Solver for Adaptive GUI Layout with OR-Constraints

OR-constrained (ORC) graphical user interface layouts unify conventional constraint-based layouts with flow layouts, which enables the definition of flexible layouts that adapt to screens with different sizes, orientations, or aspect ratios with only a single layout specification. Unfortunately, solving ORC layouts with current solvers is time-consuming and the needed time increases exponentially with the number of widgets and constraints. To address this challenge, we propose ORCSolver, a novel solving technique for adaptive ORC layouts, based on a branch-and-bound approach with heuristic preprocessing. We demonstrate that ORCSolver simplifies ORC specifications at runtime and our approach can solve ORC layout specifications efficiently at near-interactive rates.

Relativistic calculations of $R(D^{(*)})$, $R(D^{(*)}_s)$, $R(η_c)$ and $R(J/ψ)$

Recently, the deviation of the ratios $R(D)$, $R(D^{*})$ and $R(J/ψ)$ have been found between experimental data and the Standard Model predictions, which may be the hint of New Physics. In this work, we calculate these ratios within the Standard Model by using the improved instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter method. The emphasis is pad to the relativistic correction of the form factors. The results are $R(D)=0.312 ^{+0.006}_{-0.007}$, $R(D^*)= 0.249^{+0.001}_{-0.002}$, $R(D_s)=0.320 ^{+0.009}_{-0.009}$, $R(D^*_s)=0.251 ^{+0.002}_{-0.003}$, $R(η_c)=0.384 ^{+0.032}_{-0.042}$, and $R(J/ψ)=0.267 ^{+0.009}_{-0.011}$, which are consistent with predictions of other models and the experimental data. The semileptonic decay rates and corresponding form factors at zero recoil are also given.

The study of two quasi-degenerate heavy sterile neutrinos in rare meson decays

In this work, we study the lepton-number-violating processes of $K^\pm$ and $D^\pm$ mesons. Two quasi-degenerate sterile neutrinos are assumed to induce such processes. Different with the case where only one sterile neutrino involves, here, the CP phases of the mixing parameters could give sizable contribution. This, in turn, would affect the absolute values of the mixing parameters determined by the experimental upper limits of the branching fractions. A general function which express the difference of the mixing parameters for two-generation and one-generation is presented. Special cases with specific relations of the parameters are discussed. Besides, we also thoroughly investigate the CP violation effect of such processes. It is shown that generally $\mathcal A_{CP}$ is a function of the sterile neutrino mass.

The weak decay $B_c$ to $Z(3930)$ and $X(4160)$ by Bethe-Salpeter method

Considering $Z(3930)$ and $X(4160)$ as $χ_{c2}(2P)$ and $χ_{c2}(3P)$ states, the semileptonic and nonleptonic of $B_c$ decays to $Z(3930)$ and $X(4160)$ are studied by the improved Bethe-Salpeter(B-S) Method. The form factors of decay are calculated through the overlap integrals of the meson wave functions in the whole accessible kinematical range. The influence of relativistic corrections are considered in the exclusive decays. Branching ratios of $B_c$ weak decays to $Z(3930)$ and $X(4160)$ are predicted. Some of the branching ratios are: $Br(B_c^+\to Z(3930)e^+ν_e)$$=(3.03^{+0.09}_{-0.16})\times 10^{-4}$ and $Br(B_c^+\to X(4160)e^+ν_e)$$=(3.55^{+0.83}_{-0.35})\times 10^{-6}$. These results may provide useful information to discover $Z(3930)$ and $X(4160)$ and the necessary information for the phenomenological study of $B_c$ physics.

Detection of boson peak and fractal dynamics of disordered system using terahertz spectroscopy

Disordered systems exhibit universal excitation, referred to as the boson peak, in the terahertz region. Meanwhile, the so-called fracton is expected to appear in the nanoscale region owing to the self-similar structure of monomers in polymeric glasses. We demonstrate that such excitations can be detected using terahertz spectroscopy. For the interaction between terahertz light and the vibrational density of states of the fractal structure, we formulate an infrared light-vibration coupling coefficient for the fracton region. Accordingly, we show that information concerning fractal and fracton dimensions appears in the exponent of the absorption coefficient. Finally, using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy and low-frequency Raman scattering, we experimentally observe these universal excitations in a protein lysozyme system that has an intrinsically disordered and self-similar nature in a single supramolecule. These findings are applicable to disordered and polymeric glasses in general and will be key to understanding universal dynamics of disordered systems by terahertz light.

ORC Layout: Adaptive GUI Layout with OR-Constraints

We propose a novel approach for constraint-based graphical user interface (GUI) layout based on OR-constraints (ORC) in standard soft/hard linear constraint systems. ORC layout unifies grid layout and flow layout, supporting both their features as well as cases where grid and flow layouts individually fail. We describe ORC design patterns that enable designers to safely create flexible layouts that work across different screen sizes and orientations. We also present the ORC Editor, a GUI editor that enables designers to apply ORC in a safe and effective manner, mixing grid, flow and new ORC layout features as appropriate. We demonstrate that our prototype can adapt layouts to screens with different aspect ratios with only a single layout specification, easing the burden of GUI maintenance. Finally, we show that ORC specifications can be modified interactively and solved efficiently at runtime.

Study of the dilepton electromagnetic decays of $χ_{cJ}(1P)$

In this paper, the dilepton electromagnetic decays $χ_{cJ}(1P) \to J/ψe^+e^-$ and $χ_{cJ}(1P) \to Jψμ^+μ^-$, where $χ_{cJ}$ denotes $χ_{c0}$, $χ_{c1}$ and $χ_{c2}$, are calculated systematically in the improved Bethe-Salpeter method. The numerical results of decay widths and the invariant mass distributions of the final lepton pairs are given. The comparison is made with the recently measured experimental data of BESIII. It is shown that for the cases including $e^+e^-$, the gauge invariance is decisive and should be considered carefully. For the processes of $χ_{cJ}(1P) \to J/ψe^+e^-$, the branching fraction are: $\mathcal{B}[χ_{c0}(1P) \to J/ψe^+e^-]=1.06^{+0.16}_{-0.18} \times 10^{-4}$, $\mathcal{B}[χ_{c1}(1P) \to J/ψe^+e^-]=2.88^{+0.50}_{-0.53} \times 10^{-3}$, and $\mathcal{B}[χ_{c2}(1P) \to J/ψe^+e^-]=1.74^{+0.22}_{-0.21} \times 10^{-3}$. The calculated branching fractions of $χ_{cJ}(1P)\to J/ψμ^+μ^-$ channels are: $\mathcal{B}[χ_{c0}(1P) \to J/ψμ^+μ^-]=3.80^{+0.59}_{-0.64} \times 10^{-6}$, $\mathcal{B}[χ_{c1}(1P) \to J/ψμ^+μ^-]=2.04^{+0.36}_{-0.38} \times 10^{-4}$, and $\mathcal{B}[χ_{c2}(1P) \to J/ψμ^+μ^-]=1.66^{+0.19}_{-0.19} \times 10^{-4}$.

$D$-Wave Charmonia $η_{c2}$($1{^1D_2}$), $ψ_2$($1{^3D_2}$), and $ψ_3$($1{^3D_3}$) in $B_c$ Decays

We study the semi-leptonic and non-leptonic decays of $B_c$ meson to $D$-wave charmonia, namely, $η_{c2}(1^1\!D_2)$, $ψ_2(1^3\!D_2)$, and $ψ_3(1^3\!D_3)$. In our calculations, the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter method is applied to achieve the hadronic matrix elements. This method includes relativistic corrections which are important especially for the higher orbital excited states. For the semi-leptonic decay channels with electron as the final lepton, we get the branching ratios $\mathcal{B}[B_c \rightarrow η_{c2}e\barν_e] = 5.9^{-0.8}_{+1.0}\times 10^{-4}$, $\mathcal{B}[B_c \rightarrow ψ_2e\barν_e]=1.5^{-0.2}_{+0.3}\times 10^{-4}$, and $\mathcal{B}[B_c \rightarrow ψ_3e\barν_e]=3.5^{-0.6}_{+0.8}\times 10^{-4}$. The transition form factors, forward-backward asymmetries, and lepton spectra in these processes are also presented. For the non-leptonic decay channels, those with $ρ$ as the lighter meson have the largest branching ratios, $\mathcal{B}[B_c \rightarrow η_{c2}ρ] = 8.1^{-1.0}_{+1.0}\times 10^{-4}$, $\mathcal{B}[B_c \rightarrow ψ_2ρ]=9.6^{-1.0}_{+1.0}\times 10^{-5}$, and $\mathcal{B}[B_c \rightarrow ψ_3ρ]=4.1^{-0.7}_{+0.8}\times 10^{-4}$.

Strong decays of $D_{3}^{\ast}(2760)$, $D_{s3}^{\ast}(2860)$, $B_{3}^{\ast}$, and $B_{s3}^{\ast}$

In this paper, we study the OZI-allowed two-body strong decays of $3^-$ heavy-light mesons. Experimentally the charmed $D_{3}^{\ast}(2760)$ and the charm-strange $D_{s3}^{\ast}(2860)$ states with these quantum numbers have been discovered. For the bottomed $B(5970)$ state, which was found by the CDF Collaboration recently, its quantum number has not been decided yet and we assume its a $3^-$ meson in this paper. The theoretical prediction for the strong decays of bottom-strange state $B_{s3}^\ast$ is also given. The relativistic wave functions of $3^-$ heavy mesons are constructed and their numerical values are obtained by solving the corresponding Bethe-Salpeter equation with instantaneous approximation. The transition matrix is calculated by using the PCAC and low energy theorem, following which, the decay widths are obtained. For $D_{3}^\ast(2760)$ and $D_{s3}^\ast(2860)$, the total strong decay widths are 72.6 MeV and 47.6 MeV, respectively. For $B_3^\ast$ with $M=5978$ MeV and $B_{s3}^\ast$ with $M=6178$ MeV, their strong decay widths are 22.9 MeV and 40.8 MeV, respectively.

The Production of $X(3940)$ and $X(4160)$ in $B_c$ decays

Considering $X(3940)$ and $X(4160)$ as $η_c(3S)$ and $η_c(4S)$, we study the productions of $X(3940)$ and $X(4160)$ in exclusive weak decays of $B_c$ meson by the improved Bethe-Salpeter(B-S) Method. Using the relativistic B-S equation and Mandelstam formalism, we calculate the corresponding decay form factors. The predictions of the corresponding branching ratios are: $Br(B_c^+\to X(3940)e^+ν_e)$$=1.0\times10^{-4}$ and $Br(B_c^+\to X(4160)e^+ν_e)=2.4\times10^{-5}$. That will provide us a new way to observe the $X(3940)$ and $X(4160)$ in the future, as well as to improve the knowledge of $B_c$ meson decay.

The nonleptonic charmless decays of $B_c$ meson

In this paper, with the framework of (p)NRQCD and SCET, the processes $B_c\to M_1 M_2$ are investigated. Here $M_{1(2)}$ denotes the light charmless meson, such as $π$, $ρ$, $K$ or $K^*$. Based on the SCET power counting rules, the leading transition amplitudes are picked out, which include $A_{wA}^2$, $A_{wB}^2$, $A_{wC}^2$, $A_{wD}^2$ and $A_{c}^0$. From SCET, their factorization formulae are proven. Based on the obtained factorization formulae, in particular, the numerical calculation on $A_{wB}^2$ is performed.

The Study of Rare $B_c\rightarrow D^{(*)}_{s,d}l\bar{l}$ Decays

In this paper, we study rare decays $B_c\rightarrow D^{(*)}_{s,d}l\bar{l}$ within the Standard Model. The penguin, box, annihilation, color-favored cascade and color-suppressed cascade contributions are included. Based on our calculation, the annihilation and color-favored cascade diagrams play important roles in the differential branching fractions, forward-backward asymmetries, longitudinal polarizations of the final vector mesons and leptonic longitudinal polarization asymmetries. More importantly, color-favored cascade decays largely enhance the resonance cascade contributions. To avoid the resonance cascade contribution pollution, new cutting regions are put forward.

Annihilation rate of $2^{-+}$ charmonium and bottomonium

The $1^1D_2 (c\bar c)$ state is the ground state of spin-singlet D-wave charmonia. Although it has not been found yet, the experimental data accumulate rapidly. This charmonium attracts more and more attention, especially when the BaBar Collaboration finds that the X(3872) particle has negative parity. In this paper we calculate the double-gamma and double-gluon annihilation processes of $^1D_2$ charmonia and bottomonia by using the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter method. We find the relativistic corrections make the decay widths of $1^1D_2 (c\bar c)$ 2$\sim$5 times smaller than the non-relativistic results. If this state is below the $D^0{D^{0}}^\ast$ threshold, we can use the sum of annihilation widths and EM transition widths to estimate the total decay width. Our result for $1{^1D_2} (c\bar c)$ with $m=3820$ GeV is $Γ= 432$ keV. The dominant decay channel $1^1D_2 (c\bar c)\to h_c γ$, whose branching ratio is about 90%, can be used to discover this state.

Most robust and fragile two-qubit entangled states under depolarizing channels

For a two-qubit system under local depolarizing channels, the most robust and most fragile states are derived for a given concurrence or negativity. For the one-sided channel, the pure states are proved to be the most robust ones, with the aid of the evolution equation for entanglement given by Konrad et al. [Nat. Phys. 4, 99 (2008)]. Based on a generalization of the evolution equation for entanglement, we classify the ansatz states in our investigation by the amount of robustness, and consequently derive the most fragile states. For the two-sided channel, the pure states are the most robust for a fixed concurrence. Under the uniform channel, the most fragile states have the minimal negativity when the concurrence is given in the region [1/2,1]. For a given negativity, the most robust states are the ones with the maximal concurrence, and the most fragile ones are the pure states with minimum of concurrence. When the entanglement approaches zero, the most fragile states under general nonuniform channels tend to the ones in the uniform channel. Influences on robustness by entanglement, degree of mixture, and asymmetry between the two qubits are discussed through numerical calculations. It turns out that the concurrence and negativity are major factors for the robustness. When they are fixed, the impact of the mixedness becomes obvious. In the nonuniform channels, the most fragile states are closely correlated with the asymmetry, while the most robust ones with the degree of mixture.

Speed of disentanglement in multi-qubit systems under depolarizing channel

We investigate the speed of disentanglement in the multiqubit systems under the local depolarizing channel, in which each qubit is independently coupled to the environment. We focus on the bipartition entanglement between one qubit and the remaining qubits constituting the system, which is measured by the negativity. For the two-qubit system, the speed for the pure state completely depends on its entanglement. The upper and lower bounds of the speed for arbitrary two-qubit states, and the necessary conditions for a state achieving them, are obtained. For the three-qubit system, we study the speed for pure states, whose entanglement properties can be completely described by five local-unitary-transformation invariants. An analytical expression of the relation between the speed and the invariants is derived. The speed is enhanced by the the three-tangle which is the entanglement among the three qubits, but reduced by the the two-qubit correlations outside of the concurrence. The decay of the negativity can be restrained by the other two negativity with the coequal sense. The unbalance between two qubits can reduce speed of disentanglement of the remaining qubit in the system, even can retrieve the entanglement partially. For the k-qubit systems in an arbitrary superposition of GHZ state and W state, the speed depends almost entirely on the amount of the negativity when k increases to five or six. An alternative quantitative definition for the robustness of entanglement is presented based on the speed of disentanglement, with comparison to the widely studied robustness measured by the critical amount of noise parameter where the entanglement vanishes. In the limit of large number of particles, the alternative robustness of the GHZ-type states is inversely proportional to k, and the one of the W states approaches 1/\sqrt{k}.

The Properties of $D^{*}_{s1}(2700)^{+}$

The new particle $D^{*}_{s1}(2700)^{+}$ has stimulated many attentions. There are different assignments of its inherent properties. It may be a $2^3S_1$, $1^3D_1$ or the mixture of $2^3S_1-1^3D_1$ $c\bar s$ $1^-$ state. By considering its mass, decay modes, full width, production rate, and comparing with current experimental data, we point out that there is another more reasonable assignment: $D^{*}_{s1}(2700)^{+}$ could be identified as two resonances, one of which is a $2^3S_1$ state, another is a 1D state, and both are $c\bar s$ $1^-$ states. The two states have very close masses, which are around 2700 MeV, and both have broad decay widths. So in experiments, the overlapping of $DK$ or $D^*K$ invariant mass distribution coming from their decays is found, but the current experiments could not distinguish these two resonances and reported one particle.

Why X(3915) is so narrow as a $χ_{c0}(2P)$ state

New resonance X(3915) was identified as the charmonium $χ_{c0}(2P)$ by BABAR Collaboration, but there seems still open question of this assignment: why its full width is so narrow? To answer this question, we calculate the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka (OZI) allowed strong decays $X(3915)\to D \bar D$, where X(3915) is assigned as a $χ_{c0}(2P)$ state, and estimate its full width in the cooperating framework of $^3/!P_0^{}$ model and the Bethe-Salpeter (BS) method using the Mandelstam Formalism, during which non-perturbative QCD effects of the hadronic matrix elements are well considered by overlapping integral over the relativistic Salpeter wave functions of the initial and finial states. We find the node structure of $χ_{c0}(2P)$ wave function resulting in the narrow width of X(3915) and show the dependence of the decay width on the variation of the initial mass of X(3915). We point out that the rate of $\frac{Γ(X(3915)\to D^+ D^-)}{Γ(X(3915)\to D^0 \bar D^0)}$ is crucial to confirm whether X(3915) is the $χ_{c0}(2P)$ state or not.

EM Decay of X(3872) as the $1{^1D_2}(2^{-+})$ charmonium

The recently BaBar results raise the possibility that X(3872) has negative parity. This makes people reconsider assigning X(3872) to the $1{^1D_2}(c\bar c)$ state. In this paper we give a general form of the wave function of $2^{-+}$ mesons. By solving the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter equation, we get the mass spectrum and corresponding wave functions. We calculate electromagnetic decay widths of the first $2^{-+}$ state which we assume to be the X(3872) particle. The results are $Γ(2^{-+}(3872)\rightarrow J/ψγ) = 1.59^{+0.53}_{-0.42}$ keV, $Γ(2^{-+}(3872)\rightarrow ψ(2S)γ) = 2.87^{+1.46}_{-0.97}$ eV and $Γ(2^{-+}(3872)\rightarrow ψ(3770)γ) = 0.135^{+0.066}_{-0.047}$ keV. The ratio of branch fractions of the second and first channel is about 0.002, which is inconsistent with the experimental value $3.4\pm 1.4$. So X(3872) is unlikely to be a $2^{-+}$ charmonium state. In addition, we obtain a relatively large decay width for $2^{-+}(3872)\rightarrow h_cγ$ channel which is $392^{+62}_{-111}$ keV.

The Strong Decays of Orbitally Excited $B^{*}_{sJ}$ Mesons by Improved Bethe-Salpeter Method

We calculate the masses and the strong decays of orbitally excited states $B_{s0}$, $B'_{s1}$, $B_{s1}$ and $B_{s2}$ by the improved Bethe-Salpeter method. The predicted masses of $B_{s0}$ and $B'_{s1}$ are $M_{B_{s0}}=5.723\pm0.280 {\rm GeV}$, $M_{B'_{s1}}=5.774\pm0.330 {\rm GeV}$. We calculate the isospin symmetry violating decay processes $B_{s0}\to B_s π$ and $B'_{s1}\to B_s^* π$ through $π^0-η$ mixing and get small widths. Considering the uncertainties of the masses, for $B_{s0}$ and $B'_{s1}$, we also calculate the OZI allowed decay channels: $B_{s0}\to B\bar K$ and $B'_{s1}\to B^*\bar K$. For $B_{s1}$ and $B_{s2}$, the OZI allowed decay channels $B_{s1}\to B^{*}\bar K$, $B_{s2}\to B\bar K$ and $B_{s2}\to B^{*}\bar K$ are studied. In all the decay channels, the reduction formula, PCAC relation and low energy theorem are used to estimate the decay widths. We also obtain the strong coupling constants $G_{B_{s0}B_sπ}$, $G_{B_{s0}B\bar K}$, $G_{B'_{s1}B_s^*π}$, $F_{B'_{s1}B_s^*π}$, $G_{B'_{s1}B^*\bar K}$, $F_{B'_{s1}B^*\bar K}$, $G_{B_{s1}B^{*}\bar K}$, $F_{B_{s1}B^{*}\bar K}$, $G_{B_{s2}B\bar K}$ and $G_{B_{s2}B^{*}\bar K}$.

Probing Non-leptonic Two-body Decays of $B_c$ meson

Rates and CP asymmetries of the non-leptonic two-body decay of $B_c$ are calculated based on the low energy effective Hamiltonian. We concentrate on such $b$ quark decays of the processes with $0^-$ and $1^-$ S-wave particles and/or $0^+$ and $1^+$ P-wave particles in the final states. The Salpeter method, which is the relativistic instantaneous approximation of the original Bethe-Salpeter equation, is used to derive hadron transition matrix elements. Based on the calculation, it is found that the best decay channels to observe CP violation are $B_c^-\rightarrow η_c +D^-(D^{*-}_0)$, which need about $\sim10^7$ $B_c$ events in experiment. Decays to $ η_c +D^{*-}(D_s^-), h_c+D^-(D^{*-})(D^{*-}_0), J/Ψ+D^{*-}$ are also hopeful channels.
