Interacting Dark Sectors in Anisotropic Universe: Observational Constraints and $H_{0}$ Tension

The present study reveals observational constraints on the coupling between dark components of anisotropic Bianchi type I universe. We assume interaction between dark matter and dark energy and split the continuity equation with inclusion of interaction term $Γ$. Two scenarios have been considered (i) when coupling between dark components is constant and (ii) when it is a function of redshift ($z$). Metropolis-Hasting algorithm has been used to perform Monte Carlo Markov Chain (MCMC) analysis by using observational Hubble data obtained from cosmic chronometric (CC) technique, cosmic microwave background (CMB) baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO), Pantheon compilation of Supernovae type Ia (SNIa), their joint combination and a Gaussian prior on the Hubble parameter $H_{0}$. It is obtained that the combination of all databases plus $H_{0}$ prior marginalized over a present dark energy density gives stringent constraints on the current value of coupling as $-0.001<δ<0.041$ in constant coupling model and $-0.042<δ<0.053$ in varying coupling model at 68\% confident level. In general, for both models, we found $ω^{X}\approx -1$ and $δ(δ_{0})\approx 0$ which indicate that still recent data favor uncoupled $Λ$CDM model. Our estimations show that in constant coupling model $(H_{0}=73.9^{+1.5}_{-0.95}, δ=0.023^{+0.017}_{-0.024})$ which naturally leads to consistent value of the Hubble constant. This result is interesting because the previous works show that such a high value of Hubble constant requires the significant value of coupling parameter $δ$. It has been also observed that in the constant coupling model, we do not find any disagreement between the estimated $H_{0}$ and those reported by Hubble space telescope (HST) and large scale structure (LSS) experiments.

Cosmology Intertwined: A Review of the Particle Physics, Astrophysics, and Cosmology Associated with the Cosmological Tensions and Anomalies

In this paper we will list a few important goals that need to be addressed in the next decade, also taking into account the current discordances between the different cosmological probes, such as the disagreement in the value of the Hubble constant $H_0$, the $σ_8$--$S_8$ tension, and other less statistically significant anomalies. While these discordances can still be in part the result of systematic errors, their persistence after several years of accurate analysis strongly hints at cracks in the standard cosmological scenario and the necessity for new physics or generalisations beyond the standard model. In this paper, we focus on the $5.0\,σ$ tension between the {\it Planck} CMB estimate of the Hubble constant $H_0$ and the SH0ES collaboration measurements. After showing the $H_0$ evaluations made from different teams using different methods and geometric calibrations, we list a few interesting new physics models that could alleviate this tension and discuss how the next decade's experiments will be crucial. Moreover, we focus on the tension of the {\it Planck} CMB data with weak lensing measurements and redshift surveys, about the value of the matter energy density $Ω_m$, and the amplitude or rate of the growth of structure ($σ_8,fσ_8$). We list a few interesting models proposed for alleviating this tension, and we discuss the importance of trying to fit a full array of data with a single model and not just one parameter at a time. Additionally, we present a wide range of other less discussed anomalies at a statistical significance level lower than the $H_0$--$S_8$ tensions which may also constitute hints towards new physics, and we discuss possible generic theoretical approaches that can collectively explain the non-standard nature of these signals.[Abridged]

Constraining Bianchi type V universe with recent H(z) and BAO observations in Brans-Dicke theory of gravitation

In this paper, we investigate a transitioning model of Bianchi type V universe in Brans-Dicke theory of gravitation. The derived model not only validates Mach's principle but also describes the present acceleration of the universe. In this paper, our aim is to constrain an exact Bianchi type V universe in Brans - Dicke gravity. For this sake, firstly we obtain an exact solution of field equations in modified gravity and secondly constrain the model parameters by bounding the model with recent $H(z)$ and Baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) observational data. The current phase of accelerated expansion of the universe is also described by the contribution coming from cosmological constant screened scalar field with deceleration parameter showing a transition redshift of about $z_{t} = 0.79$. Some physical properties of the universe are also discussed.

Existence of bulk viscous universe in $f(R,T)$ gravity and confrontation with observational data

In this paper we have investigated a bulk viscous universe in $f(R,T)$ gravity where $R$ and $T$ are the Ricci scalar and trace of energy momentum tensor respectively. We have obtained explicit solutions of field equations in modified gravity by considering the power law form of scale factor. The Hubble parameter and deceleration parameter are derived in terms of cosmic time and redshift both. We have estimated the present values of these parameters with observational Hubble data and SN Ia data sets. At 1$σ$ level, the estimated values of $q_{0}$ and $m$ are obtained as $q_{0}=-0.30 \pm 0.05$ \& $ m = 0.70 \pm 0.02 $ where $q_{0}$ is the present value of deceleration parameter and $m$ is the model parameter. The energy conditions and Om(z) analysis for the anisotropic LRS Bianchi type I model are also discussed.

Note on Tsallis holographic dark energy in Brans-Dicke cosmology

In this comment, we have investigated that the power law variation of Brans-Dicke scalar field $(ϕ)$ with scale factor $(a)$ is not validated by field equations in general for the Universe filled with dark matter and Tsallis type holographic dark energy. However, for specific choice of free parameters $(ω= -\frac{3}{2}\;\; \&\;\; n = -1)$ which are differ from its values fixed in Ghaffari et al \textcolor{blue}{[Ghaffari et al. Euro. Phys. J. C \textbf{78}, 706 (2018)]} to describe various physical properties of the Universe in derived model, the power law variation of $ϕ$ with $a$ leads to consistent results. Further, we notice that the energy conservation law for Tsallis holographic dark energy in Brans-Dicke gravity does not hold.

Plane symmetric cosmological models

In the present work, we execute the Lie symmetry analysis on the Einstein-Maxwell field equations in the plane symmetric spacetime. Under the background of the plane symmetric space-time we compute the Lie point symmetries, perform the similarity reductions and obtain exact solutions in connection to the evolutionary scenario of the universe. The special feature of the study is that it deals with the electromagnetic energy of the inhomogeneous universe through the non-vanishing component of electromagnetic field tensor $F_{12}$ and assumes that the free gravitational field is of Petrov type-II non-degenerate. We have found that the electromagnetic field tensor is positive and increasing function of time. To validate the solution set, we examine with detailed discussions several physical as well as geometrical features of a specific sub-case of the model.

Power-law solution for homogeneous and isotropic universe in $f(R,T)$ gravity

In the present work, we search the simplest cosmological model in $f(R,T)$ gravity by considering its functional form $f(R,T) = R + ξR T$ with $ξ$ being positive constant. We have constructed the Einstein's field equation in $f(R,T)$ gravity for homogeneous and isotropic space time. The explicit solution of the constructed model is obtained by considering the scale factor as $a = αt^β$ with $α$ and $β$ being free parameters. The values of $α$ and $β$ are obtained by using Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method to constraining the model under consideration with observational $H(z)$ data. Some physical and kinematic properties of the model are also discussed.

Singularity-free nonexotic compact star in $f(R,T)$ gravity

In the present work, we have searched the existence of anisotropic and non-singular compact star in the $f(R,T)$ gravity by taking into account the non-exotic equation of state (EoS). In order to obtain the solutions of the matter content of compact object, we assume the well known barotropic form of EoS that yields the linear relation between pressures and energy density. We propose the existence of non-exotic compact star which shows the validation of energy conditions and stability with in the $f(R,T)$ extended theory of gravity perspective. The linear material correction in the extended theory the matter content of compact star remarkably able to satisfies energy condition. We discuss various physical features of compact star and show that proposed model of stellar object satisfies all regularity conditions and is stable as well as singularity-free.

Accelerating model of flat universe in $f(R,T)$ gravity

The $f(R,T)$ theory of gravitation is an extended theory of gravitation in which the gravitational action contains both the Ricci scalar $R$ and the trace of energy momentum tensor $T$ and hence the cosmological models based on $f(R,T)$ gravity are eligible to describing late time acceleration of present universe. In this paper, we investigate an accelerating model of flat universe with linearly varying deceleration parameter (LVDP). We apply the linearly time varying law for deceleration parameters that generates a model of transitioning universe from early decelerating phase to current accelerating phase. We carry out the state-finder and Om(z) analysis, and obtain that LVDP model have consistency with astrophysical observations. We also discuss profoundly the violation of energy-momentum conservation law in $f(R,T)$ gravity and dynamical behavior of the model.

Constraining An Exact Brans-Dicke gravity theory with Recent Observations

In this paper first we study Brans-Dicke equations with the cosmological constant to find an exact solution in the spatially flat Robertson-Walker metric. Then we use Observational Hubble data, the baryon acoustic oscillation distance ratio data as well as cosmic microwave background data from Planck to constrain parameters of the obtained Brans-Dicke model. To compare our results and find out the amount of deviation from general relativity, we also constrain concordance cosmological model using the same data. In our theoretical model the Brans-Dicke coupling constant is replaced by a , say new, parameter namely \textgravedbl scalar field density $Ω_ϕ$\textacutedbl. Therefore, as $Ω_ϕ\to 0$ which is equivalent to $ω\to \infty$ general relativity is recovered. In general, we found no significant deviation from general relativity. Our estimations show $Ω_ϕ=0.010^{+0.021}_{-0.012}$ which is equivalent to $ω>1560$ at $95\%$ confidence level. We also obtained constraint the rate of change of gravitational constant, $\dot{G}/G$, at present time as $1.150\times 10^{-13}yr^{-1}<\dot{G}/G<1.198\times 10^{-13}yr^{-1}$ (at $1σ$ error). The total variation of gravitational constant, since the epoch of recombination, is also constrained as $-0.0084<δG/G<-0.0082$ at $68\%$ confidence level.

$Λ$-CDM type Heckmann - Suchuking model and union 2.1 compilation

In this paper, we have investigated $Λ$CDM type cosmological model in Heckmann-Schucking space-time, by using 287 high red shift ($ .3 \leq z \leq 1.4$ ) SN Ia data of observed absolute magnitude along with their possible error from Union 2.1 compilation. We have used $χ^{2}$ test to compare Union 2.1 compilation observed data and corresponding theoretical values of apparent magnitude $(m)$. It is found that the best fit value for $(Ω_{m})_0$, $(Ω_Λ)_0$ and $(Ω_σ)_0$ are $0.2940$, $0.7058$ and $0.0002$ respectively and the derived model represents the features of accelerating universe which is consistent with recent astrophysical observations.

A transitioning universe with anisotropic dark energy

In this paper, we present a model of transitioning universe with minimal interaction between perfect fluid and anisotropic dark energy in Bianchi I space-time. The two sources are assumed to minimally interacted and therefore their energy momentum tensors are conserved separately. The explicit expression for average scale factor are considered in hybrid form that gives time varying deceleration parameter which describes both the early and late time physical features of universe. We also discuss the physical and geometrical properties of the model derived in this paper. The solution is interesting physically as it explain accelerating universe as well as singularity free universe.

In this paper, we derive some new invariant solutions of dark energy models in cylindrically symmetric space-time. To quantify the deviation of pressure from isotropy, we introduce three different time dependent skewness parameters along the spatial directions. The matter source consists of dark energy which is minimally interact with perfect fluid. We use symmetry analysis method for solving the non-linear partial differential equations (NLPDEs) which is more powerful than the classical methods of solving NLPDEs. The geometrical and kinematical features of the models and the behaviour of the anisotropy of dark energy, are examined in detail.

Bianchi-V string cosmology with power law expansion in $f(R, T)$ Gravity

In this paper, we search the existence of Bianchi-V string cosmological model in $f(R,T)$ gravity with power law expansion. Einstein's field equations have been solved by taking into account the law of variation of Hubble's parameter that yields the constant value of deceleration parameter (DP). We observe that the massive strings dominate the early universe but they do not survive for long time and finally disappear from the universe. We examine the nature of classical potential and also discuss the physical properties of universe.

In this paper, we derive some new exact solutions of static wormholes in $f(R)$ gravity supported by the matter possesses Lorentizian density distribution of a particle-like gravitational source. We derive the wormhole's solutions in two possible schemes for a given Lorentzian distribution: assuming an astrophysically viable $F(R)$ function such as a power-law form and discuss several solutions corresponding to different values of the exponent (here $F =\frac{df}{dR}$). In the second scheme, we consider particular form of two shape functions and have reconstructed f(R) in both cases. We have discussed all the solutions with graphical point of view.

We present the model of anisotropic universe with string fluid as source of matter within the framework of scalar-tensor theory of gravitation. Exact solution of field equations are obtained by applying Berman's law of variation of Hubble's parameter which yields a constant value of DP. The nature of classical potential is examined for the model under consideration. It has been also found that the massive strings dominate in early universe and at long last disappear from universe. This is in agreement with current astronomical observations. The physical and dynamical properties of model are also discussed.

Bianchi-V string cosmological model and late time acceleration

In the present work we have searched the existence of the late time acceleration of the universe with string fluid as source of matter in Bianchi V space-time. To get the deterministic solution, we choose the scale factor as increasing function of time that yields a time dependent deceleration parameter, representing a model which generates a transition of universe from early decelerating phase to recent accelerating phase. The study reveals that strings dominate the early universe and eventually disappear from the universe for sufficiently large times i. e. at present epoch. The same is observed by current astronomical observations. The physical behaviour of universe has been discussed in detail.

Cosmological constant dominated transit universe from early deceleration to current acceleration phase in Bianchi-V space-time

The paper presents the transition of universe from early decelerating phase to current accelerating phase with viscous fluid and time dependent cosmological constant $(Λ)$ as source of matter in Bianchi-V space-time. To study the transit behaviour of universe, we have assumed the scale factor as increasing function of time which generates a time dependent deceleration parameter (DP). The study reveals that the cosmological term does not change its fundamental nature for $ξ$ = constant and $ξ=ξ(t)$, where $ξ$ is the coefficient of bulk viscosity. The $Λ(t)$ is found to be positive and is decreasing function of time. The same is observed by recent supernovae observations. The physical behaviour of universe has been discussed in detail.

The Einstein's field equations have been solved exactly by taking into account the proportionality relation between one of the components of shear scalar $(σ^{1}_{1})$ and expansion scalar $(\vartheta)$, which, for some suitable choices of problem parameters, yields time dependent equation of state (EoS) and deceleration parameter (DP), representing a model which generates a transition of universe from early decelerating phase to present accelerating phase. The physical and geometrical behavior of universe have been discussed in detail.

Magnetized dark energy and the late time acceleration

In the present work we have searched the existence of the late time acceleration of the Universe. The matter source that is responsible for the late time acceleration of the Universe consists of cosmic fluid with the equation of state parameter $ω=\frac{p}ρ$ and uniform magnetic field of energy density $ρ_{B}$. The study is done here under the framework of spatially homogeneous and anisotropic locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi-I cosmological model in the presence of magnetized dark energy. To get the deterministic model of the Universe, we assume that the shear scalar $(σ)$ in the model is proportional to expansion scalar $(θ)$. This condition leads to $A=B^{n}$, where $A$ and $B$ are metric functions and $n$ is a positive constant giving the proportionality condition between shear and expansion scalar. It has been found that the isotropic distribution of magnetized dark energy leads to the present accelerated expansion of the Universe and the derived model is in good agreement with the recent astrophysical observations. The physical behavior of the Universe has been discussed in details.

Transit universe with time varying $G$ and decaying $Λ$

We present the model of transit universe from early deceleration phase to current acceleration phase under the framework of general relativity in presence of gravitational coupling $G(t)$ and cosmological terms $Λ(t)$. The Einstein's field equations have been solved by considering time dependent deceleration parameter (DP) which renders the scale factor $a = (t^{n}e^{kt})^{\frac{1}{m}}$ where $m$, $n$ and $k$ are positive constants. The cosmological term $(Λ(t))$ is found to be positive and a decreasing function of time which supports the result obtained from supernovae Ia observations. The geometrical and kinematical features of the model are examined in detail.

Bulk Viscous LRS Biachi-I Universe with variable $G$ and decaying $Λ$

The present study deals with spatially homogeneous and totally anisotropic locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type I cosmological model with variable $G$ and $Λ$ in presence of imperfect fluid. To get the deterministic model of Universe, we assume that the expansion $(θ)$ in the model is proportional to shear $(σ)$. This condition leads to $A=\ell B^{n}$, where $A$,\;$B$ are metric potential. The cosmological constant $Λ$ is found to be decreasing function of time and it approaches a small positive value at late time which is supported by recent Supernovae Ia (SN Ia) observations. Also it is evident that the distance modulus curve of derived model matches with observations perfectly.

Dissipative Future Universe without Big Rip

The present study deals with dissipative future universe without big rip in context of Eckart formalism. The generalized chaplygin gas, characterized by equation of state $p=-\frac{A}{ρ^\frac{1}α}$, has been considered as a model for dark energy due to its dark-energy-like evolution at late time. It is demonstrated that, if the cosmic dark energy behaves like a fluid with equation of state $p=ωρ$; $ω< -1$, as well as chaplygin gas simultaneously then the big rip problem does not arises and the scale factor is found to be regular for all time.

LRS Bianchi Type-II Massive String Cosmological Models in General Relativity

The present study deals with locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type II cosmological models representing massive string. The energy-momentum tensor for such string as formulated by Letelier (1983) is used to construct massive string cosmological models for which we assume that the expansion ($θ$) in the models is proportional to the shear ($σ$). This condition leads to $A = B^{m}$, where A and B are the metric coefficients and m is constant. We have derived two types of models depending on different values of m i.e. for $m\neq \sqrt{2}$ and $m = \sqrt{2}$ respectively. For suitable choice of constant m (i.e. for $m = 1/2$), it is observed that in early stage of the evolution of the universe, the universe is dominated by strings in both cases. Our models are in accelerating phase which is consistent to the recent observations of type Is supernovae. Some physical and geometric behaviour of the models are also discussed.

This condition leads to $A=B^{n}$, where $A$,\;$B$ are metric potential and $n$ is positive constant. It has been found that the anisotropic distribution of dark energy leads to the present accelerated expansion of Universe. The physical behavior of the Universe has been discussed in detail.

Lyra's Cosmology of Massive String in Anisotropic Bianchi-II Space-time

The paper deals with a spatially homogeneous and totally anisotropic Bianchi II cosmological models representing massive strings in normal gauge for Lyra's manifold. The modified Einstein's field equations have been solved by applying variation law for Hubble's parameter. This law generates two type of solutions for average scale factor, one is of power law type and other is of exponential law type. The power law describes the dynamics of Universe from big bang to present epoch while exponential law seems reasonable to project dynamics of future Universe. It has been found that the displacement actor $(β)$ is a decreasing function of time and it approaches to small positive value at late time, which is collaborated with Halford (1970) as well as recent observations of SN Ia. The study reveals that massive strings dominate in early Universe and eventually disappear from Universe for sufficiently large time, which is in agreement with the current astronomical observations.
