A Bayesian Statistical Study of Bianchi Type-I Universe in $f(R,T^ψ)$ Modified Gravity

We have examined the cosmological actions of LRS (Locally Rationally Symmetric) Bianchi type-I universe model in $f(R,T^ψ)$ gravity. For this, we have estimated the Hubble parameter, the effective equation of state parameter ($ω^{eff}$), and the potential of the scalar field as a function of time using equation $H = W(ψ)$. The graphical representation of the potential function $V(ψ)$ with respect to cosmic time t is described. This study explores the dynamical properties of a Bianchi Type-I universe by utilizing Bayesian statistical techniques to constrain the model parameters and evaluate the viability of anisotropic cosmology under extended matter-geometry couplings. Also, we have applied the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) mechanism on the derived $H(z)$ model by using observational Hubble data (OHD), the Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) dataset, and the Pantheon dataset. From the confidence-level contours and best-fit parameter values obtained, along with the corresponding reduced $χ^{2}$, it is evident that the model aligns strongly with observational data, demonstrating statistical stability and consistency in describing late-time cosmic acceleration. Likewise, the error analyses presented in this research, including a comparison between the $Λ$CDM cosmology and the reconstructed $H(z)$ model, confirm the model's compatibility with current observations by yielding a reliable and accurate account of the universe's expansion history.

Non-exotic traversable wormholes with strong deflection angle in King and Dekel-Zhao dark matter halos under f(R,Lm) gravity

In this article, we investigate asymptotically flat non-exotic traversable wormhole geometries within the King and Dekel-Zhao dark matter halos in the framework of $f(R, L_m)$ gravity. Two functional forms of the theory are considered: Model-I: $f(R, L_m)=(R/2) + L_m^α$ and Model-II: $f(R, L_m)=(R/2) + (1 + λR)L_m$. For both models, wormhole solutions are obtained and analyzed using the King and Dekel-Zhao dark matter density profiles, allowing us to explore how the underlying matter distribution influences the wormhole structures. The energy conditions are examined to verify the feasibility of sustaining the wormhole geometries with non-exotic matter, while embedding surfaces, proper radial distance, and total gravitational energy are studied to illustrate the wormhole's physical viability and traversability. Moreover, we test the strong deflection angle and its implications for gravitational lensing and show possible observational signatures of such wormhole configurations. Our results indicate that within $f(R, L_m)$ gravity, and for appropriate parameter choices, dark matter environments can sustain physically consistent non-exotic traversable wormhole geometries with distinct gravitational lensing signatures, providing new insights into the interplay between modified gravity, dark matter, and astrophysical observations.

A note on shock wave in the dark matter medium

Employing Newton's stellar balance equation and using the flat rotation velocity of satellite galaxies, we have found the velocity of sound in the dark matter medium. What is interesting is that the velocity of satellite galaxies is very much larger than the velocity of sound in the dark matter medium. This indicates that there will be shock wave in the dark matter medium due to the supersonic movement of satellite galaxies.

Geometrical Origin of Growth of Matter Perturbations

The density perturbation of the universe has been considered in the framework of a Finslerian cosmological model in which the background spacetime of the universe is taken as the spatially flat FLRW spacetime with a Finslerian perturbation. The inhomogeneity in the matter(energy) density arises naturally in this consideration of gravity in the $( α, β)$ - Finsler space for the background spacetime of the universe. The resulting inhomogeneous matter density indicates matter perturbation departing from the uniform density, and it is caused by the Finslerian perturbation in the Riemannian spacetime, thus ascertaining the geometrical origin of the growth of matter perturbation.

Physical Implications of Pure Lovelock Geometry on Stellar Structure

We construct an exact anisotropic star model with a linear barotropic equation of state and with Finch-Skea potential within the framework of pure Lovelock gravity. A comparison with the corresponding Einstein model in a suitable limit is easily deduced. Evidently higher curvature effects induced by the Lovelock contributions generate lower densities, pressures, surface tensions and anisotropy factors when compared to its Einstein counterpart. The maximum moment of inertia is attained for the Einstein case and hence it may be inferred that Lovelock effects soften the equation of state. The model satisfies various stability tests.

Quasi Normal Modes of Ayon-Beato Garcia Regular Black Holes For Scalar Field

In this paper, we compute quasi-normal modes of ABG black holes (which has a non-linear electrodynamical source) using the WKB methods and AIM. A comparison between the spectrum of QNMs calculated by both methods is made. We analyse how the spectrum of QNMs depends on the black hole parameters, multipole number and overtone number and establish that the ABG black hole is stable against the scalar field.

Wormholes in $κ(R,T)$ gravity

The wormhole solution could be found by solving the Einstein field equations with violating the null energy condition (NEC). We represent wormhole solutions in $κ(R,T)$ gravity in two different ways. At first, we find the shape function by considering a redshift function and linear equation of state (EoS). The solution represents a wormhole for the real feasible matter. In the second part, we consider four pairs of two redshift functions and two shape functions and analyze the obtained solutions. Some of the models suggest that for particular values of the parameters, the existence of wormholes are supported by an arbitrarily small quantity of exotic matter.

Lyapunov exponent ISCO and Kolmogorov Senai entropy for Kerr Kiselev black hole

Geodesic motion has significant characteristics of space-time. We calculate the principle Lyapunov exponent (LE), which is the inverse of the instability timescale associated with this geodesics and Kolmogorov-Senai (KS) entropy for our rotating Kerr-Kiselev (KK) black hole. We have investigate the existence of stable/unstable equatorial circular orbits via LE and KS entropy for time-like and null circular geodesics. We have shown that both LE and KS entropy can be written in terms of the radial equation of innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) for time-like circular orbit. Also, we computed the equation marginally bound circular orbit, which gives the radius (smallest real root) of marginally bound circular orbit (MBCO). We found that the null circular geodesics has larger angular frequency than time-like circular geodesics ($Q_o > Q_σ$). Thus, null-circular geodesics provides the fastest way to circulate KK black holes. Further, it is also to be noted that null circular geodesics has shortest orbital period $(T_{photon}< T_{ISCO})$ among the all possible circular geodesics. Even null circular geodesics traverses fastest than any stable time-like circular geodesics other than the ISCO.

Compact stars with exotic matter

In this paper we employ Tolman VII solution with exotic matter that may be present in the extremely dense core of compact objects. The Tolman VII solution, an exact analytic solution to the spherically symmetric, static Einstein field equations with a perfect fluid source, has many characteristics that make it interesting for modeling high density stellar astronomical objects. For our purpose we use generalized non-linear equation of state which may incorporate exotic matter along with dust, radiation and dark energy. The equation of state (EoS) has a linear contribution comprising quark/radiation matters and a nonlinear contribution comprising dark energy/exotic matters. The amount of exotic matter contain can be modify by a parameter $n$ which can be linked to adiabatic index. As $n$ increases the exotic contribution increases which stiffens the EoS. The physical properties of the model such as pressure, density, mass function, surface redshift, gravitational redshift are examined and the stability of the stellar configuration is discussed in details. The model has promising features as it satisfies all energy conditions and is free from central singularities. The $M-R$ relation is constructed analytically and the maximum mass and its corresponding radius is determined using the exact solutions and is shown to satisfy various observational stellar compact stars.

Conformally symmetric traversable wormholes in $f(R,T)$ gravity

To find more deliberate $f(R, T)$ astrophysical solutions, we proceed by studying wormhole geometries under the assumption of spherical symmetry and the existence of a conformal Killing symmetry to attain the more acceptable astrophysical results. To do this, we consider a more plausible and simple model $f(R,T)=R+2χT$, where $R$ is the Ricci scalar and $T= -ρ+p_r+2p_t$ denotes the trace of the energy-momentum tensor of the matter content. We explore and analyze two cases separately. In the first part, wormhole solutions are constructed for the matter sources with isotropic pressure. However, the obtained solution does not satisfy the required wormhole conditions. In the second part, we introduce an EoS relating with pressure (radial and lateral) and density. We constrain the models with phantom energy EoS i.e. $ω= p_r/ ρ< -1$, consequently violating the null energy condition. Next, we analyze the model via $p_t= n p_r $. Several physical properties and characteristics of these solutions are investigated which are consistent with previous references about wormholes. We mainly focus on energy conditions (NEC, WEC and SEC) and consequently for supporting the respective wormhole geometries in details. In both cases it is found that the energy density is positive as seen by any static observer. To support the theoretical results, we also plotted several figures for different parameter values of the model that helps us to confirm the predictions. Finally, the volume integral quantifier, which provides useful information about the total amount of exotic matter required to maintain a traversable wormhole is discussed briefly.

Conformally symmetric traversable wormholes in modified teleparallel gravity

In this paper, we consider wormhole geometries in the context of teleparallel equivalent of general relativity (TEGR) as well as $f(T)$ gravity. The TEGR is an alternative geometrical formulation of Einstein's general relativity, where modified teleparallel gravity or $f(T)$ gravity has been invoked as an alternative approach for explaining an accelerated expansion of the universe. We present the analytical solutions under the assumption of spherical symmetry and the existence of a conformal Killing vectors to proceed a more systematic approach in searching for exact wormhole solutions. More preciously, the existence of a conformal symmetry places restrictions on the model. Considering the field equations with a diagonal tetrad and anisotropic distribution of the fluid, we study the properties of traversable wormholes in TEGR that violates the weak and the null energy conditions at the throat and its vicinity. In the second part, wormhole solutions are constructed in the framework of $f(T)$ gravity, where $T$ represents torsion scalar. As a consistency check, we also discuss the behavior of energy conditions with a viable power-law $f(T)$ model and the corresponding shape functions. In addition, a wide variety of solutions are deduced by considering a linear equation of state relating the density and pressure, for the isotropic and anisotropic pressure, independently of the shape functions, and various phantom wormhole geometries are explored.

Exploring physical properties of compact stars in $f(R,T)-$gravity: An embedding approach

Solving field equations exactly in $f(R,T)$ gravity is one of the difficult task. To do so, many authors have adopted different methods such as assuming both the metric functions, an equation of state (EoS) and a metric function etc. However, such methods may not always lead to well-behaved solutions and thereby rejection of the solutions may happen after complete calculations. Indeed, very recent works on embedding class one methods suggested that the chances of arriving at the well behaved-solution is very high thereby inspired us to used it. In class one approach, we have to ansatz one of the metric potentials and the other can be obtain from the Karmarkar condition. In this paper, we are proposing new class one solution which is well-behaved in all physical points of view. We have analyzed the nature of the solution by tuning the $f(R,T)-$coupling parameter $χ$ and found that the solution results into stiffer EoS for $χ=-1$ than $χ=1$. This is because for lesser values of $χ$, velocity of sound is more, higher $M_{max}$ in $M-R$ curve and the EoS parameter $ω$ is larger. The solution satisfy the causality condition, energy conditions, stable and static under radial perturbations (static stability criterion) and in equilibrium (modified TOV-equation). The resulting $M-R$ diagram from this solution is well fitted with observed values of few compact stars such as PSR J1614-2230, Vela X-1, Cen X-3 and SAX J1808.4-3658. Therefore, for different values of $χ$, we have predicted the corresponding radii and their respective moment of inertia from the $M-I$ curve.

Geodesic stability and Quasi normal modes via Lyapunov exponent for Hayward Black Hole

We derive proper-time Lyapunov exponent $(λ_{p})$ and coordinate-time Lyapunov exponent $(λ_{c})$ for a regular Hayward class of black hole. The proper-time corresponds to $τ$ and the coordinate time corresponds to $t$. Where $t$ is measured by the asymptotic observers both for for Hayward black hole and for special case of Schwarzschild black hole. We compute their ratio as $\frac{λ_{p}}{λ_{c}} = \frac{(r_σ^{3} + 2 l^{2} m )}{\sqrt{(r_σ^{2} + 2 l^{2} m )^{3}- 3 m r_σ^{5}}}$ for time-like geodesics. In the limit of $l=0$ that means for Schwarzschild black hole this ratio reduces to $\frac{λ_{p}}{λ_{c}} = \sqrt{\frac{r_σ}{(r_σ-3 m)}}$. Using Lyponuov exponent, we investigate the stability and instability of equatorial circular geodesics. By evaluating the Lyapunov exponent, which is the inverse of the instability time-scale, we show that, in the eikonal limit, the real and imaginary parts of quasi-normal modes~(QNMs) is specified by the frequency and instability time scale of the null circular geodesics. Furthermore, we discuss the unstable photon sphere and radius of shadow for this class of black hole.

Singularity-free nonexotic compact star in $f(R,T)$ gravity

In the present work, we have searched the existence of anisotropic and non-singular compact star in the $f(R,T)$ gravity by taking into account the non-exotic equation of state (EoS). In order to obtain the solutions of the matter content of compact object, we assume the well known barotropic form of EoS that yields the linear relation between pressures and energy density. We propose the existence of non-exotic compact star which shows the validation of energy conditions and stability with in the $f(R,T)$ extended theory of gravity perspective. The linear material correction in the extended theory the matter content of compact star remarkably able to satisfies energy condition. We discuss various physical features of compact star and show that proposed model of stellar object satisfies all regularity conditions and is stable as well as singularity-free.

Study of gravastars under $f(\mathbb{T})$ gravity

In the present paper we propose a stellar model under the $f(\mathbb{T})$ gravity following the conjecture of Mazur-Mottola~[Report number: LA-UR-01-5067 (2001); Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 101 (2004) 9545] known in literature as {\it gravastar}, a viable alternative to the black hole. This gravastar has three different regions, viz., (A) Interior core region, (B) Intermediate thin shell, and (C) Exterior spherical region. It is assumed that in the interior region the fluid pressure is equal to a negative matter-energy density providing a constant repulsive force over the spherical thin shell. This shell at the intermediate region is assumed to be formed by a fluid of ultrarelativistic plasma and the pressure, which is directly proportional to the matter-energy density according to Zeldovich's conjecture of stiff fluid~[Zeldovich, Mon. Not. R. Astron. Soc. 160 (1972) 1], does nullify the repulsive force exerted by the interior core region for a stable configuration. On the other hand, the exterior spherical region can be described by the exterior Schwarzschild-de Sitter solution. With all these specifications we have found out a set of exact and singularity-free solutions of the gravastar which presents several physically interesting as well as valid features within the framework of alternative gravity.

Subatomic particle as the quantum universe

Wheeler-Dewitt equation for the wave function of the universe appeared long ago in an approach to quantization of gravity. Presently, the universe considered as the microuniverse, very tiny universe compared to the outer universe to which it belongs. This tiny universe is, thus, supposed to be the subatomic particle (elementary particle) in the universe we live in. It is possible here to convert the wave function of this microuniverse satisfying Wheeler-Dewitt equation into the wave function of the quantum (subatomic) particle, which is shown to satisfy Schrödinger equation. The inverse of the length scale indicating smallness of the particle appears in the Schrödinger equation being the mass of the particle. Thus, the subatomic particles are shown here to be the quantum universes.

Tolman IV fluid sphere in bigravity

We present Tolman IV spacetime representing compact fluid sphere in bigravity. Here we have explored the effect of scale parameter $k$ in the local matter distribution of compact stars. We have model for three well-known compact stars and it shows that for lower values of $k$ leads to stiffer EoS. This claim is also supported by the graphical analysis. It can be observed that the sound speed and the adiabatic index are more for lower values of $k$. It is also seen that all the solutions of Einstein's field equations are still satisfying the field equations in the presence of a background metric $γ_{μν}$. However, the density and pressure does modified by extra term from the constant curvature background, thus affecting the EoS. One can also think that the parameter $α\equiv 1/k^2$ as coupling constant between the $g_{μν}$ and $γ_{μν}$ and consequently more the coupling stiffer is the EoS. As $k\rightarrow \infty$, the background de-Sitter spacetime reduces to Minkowski's spacetime and the coupling vanishes. The solution satisfy the causality condition, all the energy conditions and equilibrium under gravity and hydrostatic forces. The stability of the local stellar structure is enhanced by reducing the scalar curvature of the background spacetime.

Anisotropic strange star in Finsler geometry

In the present paper, we report on a study of the anisotropic strange stars under Finsler geometry. Keeping in mind that Finsler spacetime is not merely a generalization of Riemannian geometry rather the main idea is the projectivized tangent bundle of the manifold $\mathpzc{M}$, we have developed the respective field equations. Thereafter, we consider the strange quark distribution inside the stellar system followed by the MIT bag model equation of state (EOS). To find out the stability and also the physical acceptability of the stellar configuration, we perform in detail some basic physical tests of the proposed model. The results of the testing show that the system is consistent with the Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff (TOV) equation, Herrera cracking concept, different energy conditions and adiabatic index. One important result that we observe is that the anisotropic stress reaches to the maximum at the surface of the stellar configuration. We calculate (i) the maximum mass as well as corresponding radius, (ii) the central density of the strange stars for finite values of bag constant $B_g$ and (iii) the fractional binding energy of the system. This study shows that Finsler geometry is especially suitable to explain massive stellar systems.

A new exact solution for anisotropic compact stars of embedding class one

We have presented a new anisotropic solution of Einstein's field equations for compact star models. The Einstein's field equations are solved by using the class one condition \cite{1}. After that we constructed the physically valid expression of anisotropy factor by the help of metric potentials and there after we obtained the physical parameters like energy density, radial and transverse pressure. These models parameters are well behaved inside the compact star and satisfy all the required physical conditions. Also we observed a very interesting result that all the physical parameters are depend on the anisotropy factor. The present compact star models are quite compatible with the observational astrophysical compact stellar objects like Her X-1, RXJ 1856-37, SAX J1808.4-3658(SS1), SAX J1808.4-3658(SS2)

A Theoretical Model of Non-conservative Mass Transfer with Non-uniform Mass Accretion Rate in Close Binary Stars

Mass transfer in close binaries is often non-conservative and the modeling of this kind of mass transfer is mathematically challenging as in this case due to the loss of mass as well as angular momentum the governing system gets complicated and uncertain. In the present work a new mathematical model has been prescribed for the non-conservative mass transfer in a close binary system taking in to account the gradually decreasing profile of the mass accretion rate by the accreting star with respect to time as well as with respect to the increase in mass of the accreting star. The process of mass transfer is understood to occur up to a critical mass limit of the accreting star beyond which this process may cease to work.

Braneworld gravastars admitting conformal motion

In this work, we study the Mazur and Mottola gravastar model within the context of Randall-Sundrum II type braneworld scenario, based on the fact that our four dimensional space-time is a three-brane, embedded in a five dimensional bulk. We present exact solutions of the modified field equations in each of the three regions making up the gravastar, namely, (I) the core, (II) the shell, and (III) the vacuum exterior. The junction conditions at each interface are fulfilled and we further explore interesting physical properties such as length and energy and entropy of the spherical distribution.

Present paper provides a new model for perfect fluid sphere filled with charge in higher dimensional spacetime admitting conformal symmetry. We consider a linear equation of state with coefficients fixed by the matching conditions at the boundary of the source corresponding to the exterior Reissner-Nordström higher dimensional spacetime. Several physical features for different dimensions, starting from four up to eleven, are briefly discussed. It is shown that all the features as obtained from the present model are physically desirable and valid as far as the observed data set for the compact star $SAX~J1808.4-3658~(SS2)$ is concerned.

Compact stars in $f(R,T)$ gravity

In the present paper we generate a set of solutions describing the interior of a compact star under $f(R,T)$ theory of gravity which admits conformal motion. We consider the equation of state (EOS) $p=ωρ$ with $0<ω<1$ for the fluid distribution consisting normal matter, $ω$ being the EOS parameter. We therefore explore several aspects of the model analytically along with graphical representations to check the physical validity as well as acceptability of it within specified observational constraint in connection to a dozen of the compact star candidates. It is shown from the presented model that these objects are nothing but radiating compact stars.

Conformally symmetric relativistic star

We investigate whether compact stars having Tolman-like interior geometry admit conformal symmetry. Taking anisotropic pressure along the two principal directions within the compact object, we obtain physically relevant quantities such as transverse and radial pressure, density and redshift function. We study the equation of state for the matter distribution inside the star. From the relation between pressure and density function of the constituent matter, we explore the nature and properties of the interior matter. The red shift function, compactness parameter are found to be physically reasonable. The matter inside the star satisfies the null, weak and strong energy conditions. Finally, we compare the masses and radii predicted from the model with corresponding values in some observed stars.

Could wormholes form in dark matter galactic halos?

We estimate expression for velocity as a function of the radial coordinate $r$ by using polynomial interpolation based on the experimental data of rotational velocities at distant outer regions of galaxies. The interpolation technique has been used to estimate fifth degree polynomial followed by cubic spline interpolation. This rotational velocity is used to find the geometry of galactic halo regions within the framework of Einstein's general relativity. In this letter we have analyzed features of galactic halo regions based on two possible choices for the dark matter density profile, viz. Navarro, Frenk \& White (NFW) type~\citep{Navarro1996} and Universal Rotation Curve (URC) ~\citep{Castignani2012}. It is argued that spacetime of the galactic halo possesses some of the characteristics needed to support traversable wormholes.

Emergence and oscillation of cosmic space by joining M1-branes

Recently, it has been proposed by Padmanabhan that the difference between the number of degrees of freedom on the boundary surface and the number of degrees of freedom in a bulk region leads to the expansion of the universe. Now, a natural question arises, how this model could explain the oscillation of universe between contraction and expansion branches? We try to address this issue in the framework of BIonic system. In this model, $M0$-branes join to each other and give rise to a pair of $M1$-anti-$M1$-branes. The fields which live on these branes play the roles of massive gravitons that cause the emergence of a wormhole between them and formation of a BIon system. This wormhole dissolves into M1-branes and causes a divergence between the number of degrees of freedom on the boundary surface of $M1$ and the bulk leading to an expansion of $M1$-branes. When $M1$-branes become close to each other, the square energy of their system becomes negative and some tachyonic states emerge. To removes these states, $M1$-branes compact, the sign of compacted gravity changes, causing the arising of anti-gravity: in this case, branes get away from each other. By articulating $M1$-BIons, an M3-brane and an anti-$M3$-brane are created and connected by three wormholes forming an $M3$-BIon. This new system behaves like the initial system and by closing branes to each other, they compact and, by getting away from each other, they open. Our universe is located on one of these M3-branes and, by compacting $M3$-brane, it contracts and, by opening it, it expands.

We present models of wormhole under the Finslerian structure of spacetime. This is a sequel of our previous work (Eur Phys J 75:564, 2015) where we constructed a toy model for compact stars based on the Finslerian spacetime geometry. In the present investigation, a wide variety of solutions are obtained that explore wormhole geometry by considering different choices for the form function and energy density. The solutions, like the previous work, are revealed to be physically interesting and viable models for the explanation of wormholes as far as the background theory and literature are concerned.

The Planckonions

We consider a spherically symmetric stellar configuration with a density profile $ρ(r)=\frac{c^2}{8πG r^2} $. This configuration satisfies the Schwarzchild black hole condition $\frac {2GM}{c^2 R}=~1$ for every $ r =R $. We refer it as "Planckonion". The interesting thing about the Plankonion is that it has an onion like structure. The central sphere with radius of the Plank-lenght $ L_p=\sqrt{(\frac {2\hbar G}{c^3})}$ has one unit of the Planck-mass $M_p=\sqrt {(\frac {c\hbar}{2G})}$. Subsequent spherical shells of radial width $L_p$ contain exactly one unit of $M_p$. We study this stellar configuration using Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equation and show that the equation is satisfied if pressure $P(r)=-ρ(r)$. On the geometrical side, the space component of the metric blows up at every point. The time component of the metric is zero inside the star but only in the sense of a distribution (generalized function). The Planckonions mimic some features of black holes but avoid appearance of central singularity because of the violation of null energy conditions.

Anisotropic stars with non-static conformal symmetry

We have proposed a model for relativistic compact star with anisotropy and analytically obtained exact spherically symmetric solutions describing the interior of the dense star admitting non-static conformal symmetry. Several features of the solutions including drawbacks of the model have been explored and discussed. For this purpose we have provided the energy conditions, TOV-equations and other physical requirements and thus thoroughly investigated stability, mass-radius relation and surface redshift of the model. It is observed that most of the features are well matched with the compact stars, like quark/strange stars.

Emergence and Expansion of Cosmic Space in BIonic system

Recently, Padmanabhan [arXiv:1206.4916] argued that the expansion rate of the universe can be thought of as the emergence of space as cosmic time progresses and is related to the difference between the surface degrees of freedom on the holographic horizon and the bulk degrees of freedom inside. The main question arises as to what is origin of emergence of space in 4D universe? We answer to this question in BIonic system. The BIon is a configuration in flat space of a D-brane and a parallel anti-D-brane connected by a thin shell wormhole with F-string charge. We propose a new model that allows all degrees of freedom inside and outside the universe are controlled by the evolutions of BIon in extra dimension and tend to degrees of freedom of black F-string in string theory or black M2-brane in M theory.

We study different dimensional fluids inspired by noncommutative geometry which admit conformal Killing vectors. The solutions of the Einstein field equations examined specifically for five different set of spacetime. We calculate the active gravitational mass and impose stability conditions of the fluid sphere. Gravitational collapse of a circularly symmetric star

We investigate the collapse of a circularly symmetric star with outgoing radiation in ($2+1$)-dimensional anti-de Sitter spacetime. The exterior spacetime of the collapsing star is assumed to be described by the non-static generalization of the Bañados, Teitelboim and Zanelli [{\em Phys. Rev. Lett.} {\bf 69} (1992) 1849 ] metric. Making use of the junction conditions joining smoothly the interior and the exterior spacetimes across the boundary, we analyze the impacts of various factors on the evolution of the star which begins its collapse from an initial static configuration. In particular, depending on initial conditions, two possible outcomes of the collapse process are shown: (i) formation of a BTZ black hole, and (ii) evaporation of all mass-energy even before the singularity is reached.

Possibility of higher dimensional anisotropic compact star

We have provided here a new class of interior solutions for anisotropic stars admitting conformal motion in higher dimensional noncommutative spacetime. The Einstein fields equations are solved by choosing a particular density distribution function of Lorentzian type \cite{Nozari} under noncommutative geometry. Several cases with dimensions $4D$ and higher, e.g. $5D$, $6D$ and $11D$ have been discussed separately. An overall observation is that the model parameters, such as density, radial pressure, transverse pressure, anisotropy all are well behaved and represent a compact star with radius $4.17$ km. However, emphasis has been given on the acceptability of the model from physical point of view. As a consequence it is observed that higher dimensions, i.e. beyond $4D$ spacetime, exhibit several interesting yet bizarre features which are not at all untenable for a compact stellar model of strange quark type and thus dictates a possibility of its extra dimensional existence.

It is well known that the noncommutativity of the space is an outcome of string theory and it replaced the usual point like object by a smeared object. Here we have chosen Lorentzian distribution as the density function in the noncommutative inspired space- time. We have observed that the wormhole solutions exist only in four and five dimension, however, higher than fine dimension no wormhole exists. For five dimensional spacetime, we get a wormhole for a restricted region. In usual four dimensional spacetime, we get a stable wormhole which is asymptotically flat.

Some Invariant String Cosmological Models in Cylindrically Symmetric Space-time

In this paper we derive some new invariant solutions of Einstein-Maxwell's field equations for string fluid as source of matter in cylindrically symmetric space-time with Variable Magnetic Permeability. We also discuss the physical and eometrical properties of the models derived in the paper. The solutions, at least one of them, are interesting physically as they can explain the accelerating as well as singularity free Universe.

Theoretical Model of Non-Conservative Mass Transfer with Uniform Mass Accretion Rate in Contact Binary Stars

In contact binaries mass transfer is usually non-conservative which ends into loss of mass as well as angular momentum in the system. In the present work we have presented a new mathematical model of the non-conservative mass transfer with a uniform mass accretion rate in a contact binary system with lower angular momentum. The model has been developed under the consideration of reverse mass transfer which may occur simultaneously with the original mass transfer as a result of the large scale circulations encircling the entire donor and a significant portion of the gainer. These circulations in contact binaries with lower angular momentum are caused by the overflow of the critical equipotential surface by both the components of the binary system making the governing system more intricate and uncertain.

Unifying inflation with late-time acceleration in BIonic system

In this research, we propose a new model that allows to unify inflation, deceleration and acceleration phases of expansion history in BIonic system. In this model, in the beginning, there have been $k$ black fundamental strings that transited to the BIon configuration at a corresponding point. At this point, two universe brane and universe antibrane have been created, interacted with each other via one wormhole and inflated. With decreasing temperature, the energy of this wormhole flowed into universe branes and lead to inflation. After a short time, wormhole died, inflation ended and deceleration epoch started. With approaching two universe brane and antibrane together, tachyon was born, grew and caused creation of one new wormhole. At this time, two universe brane and antibrane connected again and late-time acceleration era of the universe began. We compare our model with previous unified phantom model and observational data and obtain some cosmological parameters like temperature in terms of time. We also find that deceleration parameter is negative during inflation and late-time acceleration epochs and positive during deceleration era. This means that our model is consistent with previous prediction and cosmological experiments.

Wormhole inspired by non-commutative geometry

In the present work we search for a new wormhole solution inspired by noncommutative geometry with the additional condition of allowing conformal Killing vectors (CKV). A special aspect of noncommutative geometry is that it replaces point-like structures of gravitational sources with smeared objects under Gaussian distribution. However, the purpose of this paper is to obtain wormhole solutions with noncommutative geometry as a background where we consider a point-like structure of gravitational object without smearing effect. It is found through this investigation that wormhole solutions exist in this Lorentzian distribution with viable physical properties.

A new deterministic model of strange stars

The observed evidence for the existence of strange stars and the concomitant observed masses and radii are used to derive an interpolation formula for the mass as a function of the radial coordinate. The resulting general mass function becomes an effective model for a strange star. The analysis is based on the MIT bag model and yields the energy density, as well as the radial and transverse pressures. Using the interpolation function for the mass, it is shown that a mass-radius relation due to Buchdahl is satisfied in our model. We find the surface redshift ($Z$) corresponding to the compactness of the stars. Finally, from our results, we predict some characteristics of a strange star of radius 9.9 km.

A new relativistic model of hybrid star with interactive quark matter and dense baryonic matter

We propose a relativistic model of hybrid star admitting conformal symmetry considering quark matter and baryonic matter as two different fluids. We define interaction equations between the normal baryonic matter and the quark matter and study the physical situations for repulsive, attractive and zero interaction between the constituent matters. From the interaction equations we find out the value of the equation of state (EOS) parameter for normal baryonic matter which is found to be consistent with the value obtained from the Walecka model for nucleonic matter at high density. The measured value of the Bag constant is used to explore the space time geometry inside the star. The theoretical mass-radius values are compared with the available observational data of the compact objects. From the nature of the match with the observational data, we predict the nature of interaction that must be present inside the hybrid stars

Analytical model of strange star in the low-mass X-ray binary 4U 1820-30

In this article, we have proposed a model for a realistic strange star under Tolman VII metric\citep{Tolman1939}. Here the field equations are reduced to a system of three algebraic equations for anisotropic pressure. Mass, central density and surface density of strange star in the low-mass X-ray binary 4U 1820-30 has been matched with the observational data according to our model. Strange materials clearly satisfies the stability condition (i.e. sound velocities < 1) and TOV-equation. Here also surface red shift of the star has been found to be within reasonable limit.

We obtain a new class of exact solutions for the Einstein-Maxwell system in static spherically symmetric charged star in (2+1)-dimensional gravity. In order to obtain the analytical solutions we treat the matter distribution anisotropic in nature admitting linear or nonlinear equation of state and the electric field intensity was specified. By choosing a suitable choice of mass function m(r), it is possible to integrate the system in closed form. All the solution, which are obtained in both linear and nonlinear cases are regular at the center and well behaved in the stellar interior.

Exact solutions in (2 + 1)-dimensional anti-de Sitter space-time admitting a linear or non-linear equation of state

Gravitational analyzes in lower dimensions has become a field of active research interest ever since Banados, Teitelboim and Zanelli (BTZ) (Phys. Rev. Lett. 69, 1849, 1992) proved the existence of a black hole solution in (2 + 1) dimensions. The BTZ metric has inspired many investigators to develop and analyze circularly symmetric stellar models which can be matched to the exterior BTZ metric. We have obtained two new classes of solutions for a (2 + 1)-dimensional anisotropic star in anti-de Sitter background space-time which have been obtained by assuming that the equation of state (EOS) describing the material composition of the star could either be linear or non-linear in nature. By matching the interior solution to the BTZ exterior metric with zero spin, we have demonstrated that the solutions provided here are regular and well-behaved at the stellar interior.

Possible existence of wormholes in the galactic halo region

Two observational results, the density profile from simulations performed in the $Λ$CDM scenario and the observed flat galactic rotation curves, are taken as input with the aim of showing that the galactic halo possesses some of the characteristics needed to support traversable wormholes. This result should be sufficient to provide an incentive for scientists to seek observational evidence for wormholes in the galactic halo region.

Possible features of galactic halo with electric field and observational constraints

Observed rotational curves of neutral hydrogen clouds strongly support the fact that galactic halo contains huge amount of nonluminous matter, the so called gravitational dark matter. The nature of dark matter is a point of debate among the researchers. Recent observations reported the presence of ions of O, S, C, Si etc in the galactic halo and intergalactic medium. This supports the possibility of existence of electric field in the galactic halo region. We therefore propose a model of galactic halo considering this electric field arising due to charged particles as one of the inputs for the background spacetime metric. Considering dark matter as an anisotropic fluid we obtain the expressions for energy density and pressure of dark matter there and consequently the equation of state of dark matter. Various other aspects of the solutions are also analyzed along with a critical comparison with and constraints of different observational evidences.

Static Charged Fluid in (2+1)-Dimensions Admitting Conformal Killing Vectors

New solutions for $(2+1)$-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell space-time are found for a static spherically symmetric charged fluid distribution with the additional condition of allowing conformal killing vectors (CKV). We discuss physical properties of the fluid parameters. Moreover, it is shown that the model actually represents two structures, namely (i) Gravastar as an alternative of black hole and (ii) Electromagnetic Mass model depending on the nature of the equation state of the fluid. Here the gravitational mass originates from electromagnetic field alone. The solutions are matched with the exterior region of the Ba$\tilde{n}$ados-Teitelboim-Zanelli (BTZ) type isotropic static charged black hole as a consequence of junction conditions. We have shown that the central charge density is dependent on the value of $M_0$, the conserved mass of the BTZ black hole. This in turn depends on the black hole event horizon which again is related to the Hawking radiation temperature of a BTZ black hole. Thus one may have a clue that the central charge density is related with Hawking radiation temperature of the BTZ black hole on the exterior region of the static charged fluid sphere.

A new proposal for Galactic dark matter: Effect of f(T) gravity

It is still a challenging problem to the theoretical physicists to know the exact nature of the galactic dark matter which causes the galactic rotational velocity to be more or less a constant. We have proposed that the dark matter as an effect of f(T) gravity. Assuming the flat rotation curves as input we have shown that f(T) gravity can explain galactic dynamics. Here, we don' have to introduce dark matter. Spacetime metric inspired by f(T) gravity describes the region up to which the tangential velocity of the test particle is constant. This inherent property appears to be enough to produce stable circular orbits as well as attractive gravity.

The BTZ black hole turns out to have two horizons, no horizon or a single horizon corresponding to a minimal mass. Certain thermodynamical properties are investigated, including Hawking temperature, entropy and heat capacity. Also discussed is the geodesic structure of BTZ black holes for both massless and massive particles. In particular, it is shown that bound orbits for test particles are possible.

Scenario of Accelerating Universe from the Phenomenological Λ- Models

Dark matter, the major component of the matter content of the Universe, played a significant role at early stages during structure formation. But at present the Universe is dark energy dominated as well as accelerating. Here, the presence of dark energy has been established by including a time-dependent $Λ$ term in the Einstein's field equations. This model is compatible with the idea of an accelerating Universe so far as the value of the deceleration parameter is concerned. Possibility of a change in sign of the deceleration parameter is also discussed. The impact of considering the speed of light as variable in the field equations has also been investigated by using a well known time-dependent $Λ$ model.

We have shown that this thin shell wormhole is stable. Though the wormhole comprises of exotic matters yet the effective mass remains positive. We have calculated the effective mass of the wormhole up to 8 km from the throat (assuming throat radius as 4 km) as $1.3559M_\odot $. Some physical features are briefly discussed.

Anisotropic Compact stars with variable cosmological constant

Recently the small value of the cosmological constant and its ability to accelerate the expansion of the Universe is of great interest. We discuss the possibility of forming of anisotropic compact stars from this cosmological constant as one of the competent candidates of dark energy. For this purpose we consider the analytical solution of Krori and Barua metric. We take the radial dependence of cosmological constant and check all the regularity conditions, TOV equations, stability and surface redshift of the compact stars. It has been shown as conclusion that this model is valid for any compact star and we have cited $4U 1820-30$ as a specific example of that kind of star.

We incorporate the existence of cosmological constant in a small scale to study the structure of anisotropic strange stars and come to conclusion that this doping is very much compatible with the well known physical features of strange stars.

Magnetized dark energy and the late time acceleration

In the present work we have searched the existence of the late time acceleration of the Universe. The matter source that is responsible for the late time acceleration of the Universe consists of cosmic fluid with the equation of state parameter $ω=\frac{p}ρ$ and uniform magnetic field of energy density $ρ_{B}$. The study is done here under the framework of spatially homogeneous and anisotropic locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi-I cosmological model in the presence of magnetized dark energy. To get the deterministic model of the Universe, we assume that the shear scalar $(σ)$ in the model is proportional to expansion scalar $(θ)$. This condition leads to $A=B^{n}$, where $A$ and $B$ are metric functions and $n$ is a positive constant giving the proportionality condition between shear and expansion scalar. It has been found that the isotropic distribution of magnetized dark energy leads to the present accelerated expansion of the Universe and the derived model is in good agreement with the recent astrophysical observations. The physical behavior of the Universe has been discussed in details.

Quark matter as dark matter in modeling galactic halo

Considering the flat rotation curves as input and treating the matter content in the galactic halo region as quark matter, we have found out a background spacetime metric for the region of the galactic halo. We obtain fairly general conditions that ensure that gravity in the halo region is attractive. We also investigate the stability of circular orbits, along with a different role for quark matter. Bag-model quark matter meeting these conditions therefore provides a suitable model for dark matter.

The (2+1)-dimensional gravastars

We propose a new model of a gravastar in (2+1) anti-de Sitter space-time. This new three dimensional configuration has three different regions with different equations of state: [I] Interior: 0 \leq r < r_1, ρ= -p ; [II] Shell: r_1 \leq r < r_2, ρ= p; [III] Exterior: r_2 < r, ρ= p =0. The outer region of this gravastar corresponds to the exterior (2+1) anti-de Sitter space-time, popularly known as the BTZ space-time. After investigating the Interior space-time, Shell and Exterior space-time we have highlighted different physical features in terms of Length and Energy, Entropy, and Junction conditions of the spherical distribution. A class of interior solutions corresponding to a $(2+1)$ dimensional asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetime

Lower dimensional gravity has the potential of providing non-trivial and valuable insight into some of the conceptual issues arising in four dimensional relativistic gravitational analysis. The asymptotically anti-de Sitter (2+1) dimensional spacetime described by Ba$\tilde{n}$ados, Teitelboim and Zanelli (BTZ) which admits a black hole solution, has become a source of fascination for theoretical physicists in recent years. By suitably choosing the form of the mass function $m(r)$, we derive a new class of solutions for the interior of an isotropic star corresponding to the exterior (2+1) asymptotically anti-de Sitter BTZ spacetime. The solution obtained satisfies all the regularity conditions and its simple analytical form helps us to study the physical parameters of the configuration in a simple manner.

These vacuum solutions of (2+1)-dimensional gravity are asymptotically anti-de Sitter and are known as BTZ black holes. We provide a new type of thin-shell stable wormhole from the BTZ black holes. Charged gravastars admitting conformal motion

We propose a new model of a {\it gravastar} admitting conformal motion. While retaining the framework of the Mazur-Mottola model, the gravastar is assumed to be internally charged, with an exterior defined by a Reissner-Nordstr{ö}m rather than a Schwarzschild line element. The solutions obtained involve (i) the interior region, (ii) the shell, and (iii) the exterior region of the sphere. Of these three cases the first case is of primary interest since the total gravitational mass vanishes for vanishing charge and turns the total gravitational mass into an {\it electromagnetic mass} under certain conditions. This suggests that the interior de Sitter vacuum of a charged gravastar is essentially an electromagnetic mass model that must generate the gravitational mass. We have also analyzed various other aspects such as the stress energy tensor in the thin shell and the entropy of the system.

Isotropic cases of static charged fluid spheres in general relativity

In this paper we study the isotropic cases of static charged fluid spheres in general relativity. For this purpose we consider two different specialization and under these we solve the Einstein-Maxwell field equations in isotropic coordinates. The analytical solutions thus we obtained are matched to the exterior Reissner-Nordström solutions which concern with the values for the metric coefficients $e^ν$ and $e^μ$. We derive the pressure, density, pressure-to-density ratio at the centre of the charged fluid sphere and boundary $R$ of the star. Our conclusion is that static charged fluid spheres provide a good connection to compact stars.

Charged anisotropic matter with linear or nonlinear equation of state

Ivanov pointed out substantial analytical difficulties associated with self-gravitating, static, isotropic fluid spheres when pressure explicitly depends on matter density. Simplification achieved with the introduction of electric charge were noticed as well. We deal with self-gravitating, charged, anisotropic fluids and get even more flexibility in solving the Einstein-Maxwell equations. In order to discuss analytical solutions we extend Krori and Barua's method to include pressure anisotropy and linear or non-linear equations of state. The field equations are reduced to a system of three algebraic equations for the anisotropic pressures as well as matter and electrostatic energy densities. Attention is paid to compact sources characterized by positive matter density and positive radial pressure. Arising solutions satisfy the energy conditions of general relativity. Spheres with vanishing net charge contain fluid elements with unbounded proper charge density located at the fluid-vacuum interface. Notably the electric force acting on these fluid elements is finite, although the acting electric field is zero. Net charges can be huge ($10^{19}\,C$) and maximum electric field intensities are very large ($10^{23}-10^{24}\,statvolt/cm$) even in the case of zero net charge. Inward-directed fluid forces caused by pressure anisotropy may allow equilibrium configurations with larger net charges and electric field intensities than those found in studies of charged isotropic fluids. Links of these results with charged strange quark stars as well as models of dark matter including massive charged particles are highlighted. The van der Waals equation of state leading to matter densities constrained by cubic polynomial equations is briefly considered. The fundamental question of stability is left open.

General expressions for the density parameter $Ω$ and deceleration parameter $q$ are obtained which under specific bound reproduce some of the previous results. Wormholes supported by polytropic phantom energy

It is generally agreed that the acceleration of the Universe can best be explained by the presence of dark or phantom energy. The equation of state of the latter shows that the null energy condition is violated. Such a violation is the primary ingredient for sustaining traversable wormholes. This paper discusses wormholes supported by a more general form called polytropic phantom energy. The equation of state results in significant generalizations of the phantom-energy and, in some cases, the generalized Chaplygin-gas wormhole models, both of which continue to receive considerable attention from researchers. Several specific solutions are explored, namely, a constant redshift function, a particular choice of the shape function, and an isotropic-pressure model with various shape functions. Some of the wormhole spacetimes are asymptotically flat, but most are not.

On the resolution of cosmic coincidence problem and phantom crossing with triple interacting fluids

We here investigate a cosmological model in which three fluids interact with each other involving certain coupling parameters and energy exchange rates. The motivation of the problem stems from the puzzling `triple coincidence problem' which naively asks why the cosmic energy densities of matter, radiation and dark energy are almost of the same order of magnitude at the present time. In our model, we determine the conditions under triple interacting fluids will cross the phantom divide.
