Benchmarking Di-Higgs Production in Various Extended Higgs Sector Models

We present a comprehensive study on Higgs pair production in various archetypical extended Higgs sectors such as the real and the complex 2-Higgs-Doublet Model, the 2-Higgs-Doublet Model augmented by a real singlet field and the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. We take into account all relevant theoretical and experimental constraints, in particular the experimental limits on non-resonant and resonant Higgs pair production. We present the allowed cross sections for Standard Model (SM)-like Higgs pair production and the ranges of the SM-like Yukawa and trilinear Higgs self-coupling that are still compatible with the applied constraints. Furthermore, we give results for the pair production of a SM-like with a non-SM-like Higgs boson and for the production of a pair of non-SM-like Higgs bosons. We find that di-Higgs production in the models under investigation can exceed the SM rate substantially, not only in the non-resonance region but also due to resonant enhancement. We give several benchmarks with interesting features such as large cross sections, the possibility to test CP violation, Higgs-to-Higgs cascade decays or di-Higgs production beating single Higgs production. In all of our benchmark points, the next-to-leading order QCD corrections are included in the large top-mass limit. For these points, we found that, depending on the model and the Higgs pair final state, the corrections increase the leading order cross section by a factor of 1.79 to 2.24. We also discuss the relation between the description of Higgs pair production in an effective field theory approach and in the specific models investigated here.

A Guidebook to Hunting Charged Higgs Bosons at the LHC

We perform a comprehensive global analysis in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) as well as in the 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) of the production and decay mechanisms of charged Higgs bosons $(H^\pm)$ at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Starting from the most recent experimental results (SM-like Higgs boson signal strengths and search limits for new Higgs boson states obtained at Run-1 and -2 of the LHC and previous colliders), from (both direct and indirect) searches for Supersymmetric particles as well as from flavor observables (from both $e^+e^-$ factories and hadron colliders) and upon enforcing theoretical constraints (vacuum stability, perturbativity, unitarity), we present precise predictions for $H^\pm$ cross sections and decay rates in different reference scenarios of the two aforementioned models in terms of the parameter space currently available, specifically mapped over the customary $(m_{A,H^\pm}, \tanβ)$ planes, including singling out specific Benchmark Points (BPs) amenable to phenomenological investigation. These include the $m_{h}^{{\rm mo}d+}$ and hMSSM configurations of the MSSM and the 2HDM Type-I, -II, -X and -Y. Such BPs are always close to (or coinciding with) the best fits of the theoretical scenarios to experimental data. We also briefly discuss the ensuing phenomenology for the purpose of aiding future searches for such charged Higgs boson states.

Implications of light charged Higgs boson at the LHC Run III in the 2HDM

In this study, we focus on the bosonic decays of light charged Higgs boson (i.e., with $M_{H^\pm}<m_t$) in the 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) Type-I. To study the signal of such a charged Higgs state at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), in a scenario where the $H^0$ boson is the Standard Model (SM)-like one already discovered, we assume that it decays mainly via $h^0W^{\pm *}$ and/or $H^\pm\to A^0W^{\pm *}$ (i.e., via an off-shell $W^{\pm}$ boson), which can reach a sizable Branching Ratio (BR) for $\tanβ\geq4$, when the exclusion bounds from $H^\pm\toτν$ and $c{s}$ searches get weaker. By using six Benchmark Points (BPs), which are consistent with current LHC constraints, we perform a Monte Carlo (MC) study and examine the sensitivity of the LHC to light charged Higgs boson decaying via the above bosonic modes and produced in top decay following both single top and top pair production processes. Our findings demonstrate that, when the integrated luminosity can reach 100 fb$^{-1}$, the LHC has the potential to either discover or rule out most of these BPs via either of these two production and decay channels or both.

Scattering Interference effects on $H^+\to t\bar b$ Signals in MSSM Benchmark Scenarios

In this talk an investigation into the interference effects between the process $pp\to \bar{t}bH^+$ followed by the decay $H^+ \to t\bar{b}$ and the background process $pp \to t\bar{t}b\bar{b}$ is presented. The level of interference in parts of the parameter space is shown to be high and as such it may spoil the results of typical analyses which treat signal and background as independent. This is shown for two benchmarks of the MSSM.

Mono-Higgs Signature in the Scotogenic Model with Majorana Dark Matter

We study the phenomenology of scotogenic model in the case of Majorana Dark Matter (DM) candidate. This scenario gives important consequences since the parameter space of the model is almost unconstrained compared to the Inert Higgs Doublet Model (or the scotogenic model with scalar DM), and hence, offers new opportunities for discovery at future high energy collider, e.g. the HL-LHC. As an example, we focus on the production of the Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson in association with a pair of dark scalars. Owing to its clean signature, the $γγ$ decay channel of the SM Higgs boson is investigated in great detail at both the HL-LHC (at $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV) and the future FCC-hh (at $\sqrt{s}=100$ TeV). After revisiting the LHC constraints from run-II on the parameter space of the model, and selecting benchmark points satisfying all the theoretical and experimental constraints, we found that scalars with mass up to $140$ GeV ($160$ GeV) can be probed at the LHC (FCC-hh) with a $3$ ab$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity assuming $5\%$ of uncertainty.

Searching for Heavy Charged Higgs Bosons through Top Quark Polarization

We study the production of a heavy charged Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in $gb\to H^{-} t$ within a Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM). The chiral structure of the $H^{-} t \bar{b}$ coupling can trigger a particular spin state of the top quark produced in the decay of a charged Higgs boson and, therefore, is sensitive to the underlying mechanism of the Electro-Weak Symmetry Breaking (EWSB). Taking two benchmark models (2HDM type-I and 2HDM type-Y) as an example, we show that inclusive rates, differential distributions as well as forward-backward asymmetries of the top quark's decay products can be used to search for heavy charged Higgs bosons as well as a model discriminators.

Enhanced Charged Higgs Production through W-Higgs Fusion in W-b Scattering

We study the associated production of a charged Higgs boson with a bottom quark and a light quark at the LHC via p p \to H^\pm\,b\,j in the Two Higgs Doublet Models (2HDMs). Using the effective W approximation, we show that there is exact cancellation among various Feynman diagrams in high energy limit. This may imply that the production of charged Higgs can be significantly enhanced in the presence of large mass differences among the neutral Higgs bosons via W^\pm-Higgs fusion in the p p \to H^\pm\,b\,j process. Particularly, we emphasize the potential enhancement due to a light pseudoscalar boson $A$, which is still allowed by the current data by which we explicitly calculate the allowed regions in (M_A,\,\tanβ) plane, and show that the production cross section can be as large as 0.1 pb for large $\tanβ$. We also show that the transverse momentum distribution of the b quark can potentially distinguish the W^\pm-A fusion diagram from the top diagram. Finally, we point out further enhancement when we go beyond the 2HDMs.

Radiative Model of Neutrino Mass with Neutrino Interacting MeV Dark Matter

We consider the radiative generation of neutrino mass through the interactions of neutrinos with MeV dark matter. We construct a realistic renormalizable model with one scalar doublet and one complex singlet together with three light singlet Majorana fermions, all transforming under a dark U(1) symmetry which breaks softly to Z_2. We study in detail the scalar sector which supports this specific scenario and its rich phenomenology.

Radiative corrections to the Triple Higgs Coupling in the Inert Higgs Doublet Model

We investigate the implication of the recent discovery of a Higgs-like particle in the first phase of the LHC Run 1 on the Inert Higgs Doublet Model (IHDM). The determination of the Higgs couplings to SM particles and its intrinsic properties will get improved during the new LHC Run 2 starting this year. The new LHC Run 2 would also shade some light on the triple Higgs coupling. Such measurement is very important in order to establish the details of the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism. Given the importance of the Higgs couplings both at the LHC and $e^+e^-$ Linear Collider machines, accurate theoretical predictions are required. We study the radiative corrections to the triple Higgs coupling $hhh$ and to $hZZ$, $hWW$ couplings in the context of the IHDM. By combining several theoretical and experimental constraints on parameter space, we show that extra particles might modify the triple Higgs coupling near threshold regions. Finally, we discuss the effect of these corrections on the double Higgs production signal at the $e^+e^-$ LC and show that they can be rather important.

Triple Higgs Coupling as a Probe of the Twin-Peak Scenario

In this letter, we investigate the case of a twin peak around the observed 125 GeV scalar resonance, using di-Higgs production processes at both LHC and $e^{+}e^{-}$ Linear Colliders. We have shown that both at LHC and Linear Collider the triple Higgs couplings play an important role to identify this scenario; and also that this scenario can be distinguishable from any Standard Model extension by extra massive particles which might modify the triple Higgs coupling. We also introduce a criterion that can be used to ruled out the twin peak scenario.

An Updated Analysis of Inert Higgs Doublet Model in light of the Recent Results from LUX, PLANCK, AMS-02 and LHC

In light of the recent discovery by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) of a Higgs-like particle with a narrow mass range of 125-126 GeV, we perform an updated analysis on one of the popular scalar dark matter models, the Inert Higgs Doublet Model (IHDM). We take into account in our likelihood analysis of various experimental constraints, including recent relic density measurement, dark matter direct and indirect detection constraints as well as the latest collider constraints on the invisible decay width of the Higgs boson and monojet search at the LHC. It is shown that if the invisible decay of the standard model Higgs boson is open, LHC as well as direct detection experiments like LUX and XENON100 could put stringent limits on the Higgs boson couplings to dark matter. We find that the most favoured parameter space for IHDM corresponds to dark matter with a mass less than 100 GeV or so. In particular, the best-fit points are at the dark matter mass around 70 GeV where the invisible Higgs decay to dark matter is closed. Scalar dark matter in the higher mass range of 0.5-4 TeV is also explored in our study. Projected sensitivities for the future experiments of monojet at LHC-14, XENON1T and AMS-02 one year antiproton flux are shown to put further constraints on the existing parameter space of IHDM.

Associated Production of Higgs at Linear Collider in the Inert Higgs Doublet Model

We study the correlation between the Standard Model Higgs decay $h\to γγ$ and $h\to Z γ$ in the Inert Higgs Doublet Model. It is found that these two one-loop-induced decays are positively correlated, with the later channel having slightly smaller branching ratio than the former one. At the Linear Collider, we study the interplay of the off-shell extension of these two amplitudes that contributed significantly to the associated production of the Higgs boson with a photon in the process $e^+ e^- \to γh$ and with an electron in the process $e^-γ\to e^- h$ in the $s$ and $t$ channels respectively via both $γ$ and $Z$ exchange for each process.

Higgs Phenomenology in the Two-Singlet Model

We study the phenomenology of the Standard Model (SM) Higgs sector extended by two singlet scalars. The model predicts two CP-even scalars $h_{1,2}$ which are a mixture of doublet and singlet components as well as a pure singlet scalar $S_{0}$ which is a dark matter candidate. We show that the model can satisfy the relic density and direct detection constraints as well as all the recent ATLAS and CMS measurements. We also discuss the effect of the extra Higgs bosons on the different Higgs triple couplings $h_{i}h_{j}h_{k}$, $i,j,k=1,2$. A particular attention is given to the triple self-coupling of the SM-like Higgs where we found that the one loop corrections can reach $150\%$ is some cases. We also discuss some production mechanisms for $h_{1}$ and $h_{2}$ at the LHC as well as at the future International Linear Collider. It is found that the production cross section of a pair of SM-like Higgs bosons could be much larger than the corresponding one in the SM and would reveal physics beyond the SM if observable. We also show that in this model the branching ratio of the SM-like Higgs decaying to two singlet scalars could be of the order of $20\%$, therefore the production of the SM Higgs followed by its decay to a pair of singlets would be an important source of production of singlet scalars.

Type II Seesaw Higgsology and LEP/LHC constraints

In the {\sl type II seesaw} model, if spontaneous violation of the lepton number conservation prevails over that of explicit violation, a rich Higgs sector phenomenology is expected to arise with light scalar states having mixed charged-fermiophobic/neutrinophilic properties. We study the constraints on these light CP-even ($h^0$) and CP-odd ($A^0$) states from LEP exclusion limits, combined with the so far established limits and properties of the $125-126$~GeV ${\cal H}$ boson discovered at the LHC. We show that, apart from a fine-tuned region of the parameter space, masses in the $\sim 44$ to $80$ GeV range escape from the LEP limits if the vacuum expectation value of the Higgs triplet is $\lesssim {\cal O}(10^{-3})$GeV, that is comfortably in the region for 'natural' generation of Majorana neutrino masses within this model. In the lower part of the scalar mass spectrum the decay channels ${\cal H} \to h^0 h^0, A^0 A^0$ lead predominantly to heavy flavor plus missing energy or to totally invisible Higgs decays, mimicking dark matter signatures without a dark matter candidate. Exclusion limits at the percent level of these (semi-)invisible decay channels would be needed, together with stringent bounds on the (doubly-)charged states, to constrain significantly this scenario. We also revisit complementary constraints from ${\cal H} \to γγ$ and ${\cal H} \to Z γ$ channels on the (doubly)charged scalar sector of the model, pinpointing non-sensitivity regions, and carry out a likeliness study for the theoretically allowed couplings in the scalar potential.

Comprehensive Analysis on Lepton Flavor Violating Higgs Boson to mu tau Decay in Supersymmetry without R Parity

In this paper we examine thoroughly the Higgs boson to mu tau decay via processes involving R parity violating couplings. By means of full one-loop diagrammatic calculations, we found that even if known experimental constraints, particularly including the stringent sub-eV neutrino mass bounds, give strong restrictions on some of the R parity violating parameters, the branching ratio could still achieve notable value in the admissible parameter space. Hence, the flavor violating leptonic decay is of interest to future experiments. We present here key results of our analysis. Based on the analysis, we give some comments on h -> e mu and h -> e tau also.

Higgs to mu tau Decay in Supersymmetry without R Parity

In this letter, we report on lepton flavor violating Higgs decay into mu+tau in the framework of the generic supersymmetric standard model without R parity and list interesting combinations of R-parity violating parameters. We impose other known experimental constraints on the parameters of the model and show our results from the R-parity violating parameters. In our analysis, the branching ratio of Higgs to mu+tau can exceed 10^{-5} within admissible parameter space.

h\to γγIn Inert Higgs Doublet Model

Motivated by the recent result reported from LHC on the di-photon search for a Standard Model (SM) Higgs-like boson. We discuss the implications of this possible signal in the framework of the Inert Higgs Doublet Model (IHDM), taking into account previous limits from Higgs searches at LEP, the Tevatron and the LHC as well as constraints from unitarity, vacuum stability and electroweak precision tests. We show that the charged Higgs contributions can interfere constructively or destructively with the W gauge bosons loops leading to enhancement or suppression of the di-photon rate with respect to SM rate. We show also that the invisible decay of the Higgs, if open, could affect the total width of the SM Higgs boson and therefore suppress the di-photon rate.

H\toγγin the Complex Two Higgs Doublet Model

We explore the parameter regions in the complex Two Higgs Doublet Model (c2HDM) with explicit CP violation that can describe current LHC hints for one or more Higgs boson signals at 125 GeV. Such a simple extension of the Standard model has three neutral Higgs bosons and a pair charged Higgs and leads to rich CP-violating sources including the CP-even CP-odd mixing of the neutral Higgs bosons. Within this model we present the production of light Higgs boson at the LHC followed by its decay into two photons. Our numerical study takes into account theoretical and experimental constraints on the Higgs potential like positivity, unitarity and perturbativity as well as $ρ$-parameter, $b\to sγ$ and $R_b$. These requirement together with the minimum conditions could explain the di-photon excess observed at the LHC. We also discuss the effects of the CP violating phases on the CP violation observable which is the difference between left-circular and right-circular polarization.

Two Higgs Doublet Model in light of the Standard Model H -> tau^+ tau^- search at the LHC

We study the implications of the searches based on H -> tau^+ tau^- by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations on the parameter space of the two Higgs doublet model (2HDM). In the 2HDM, the scalars can decay into a tau pair with a branching ratio larger than the SM one, leading to constraints on the 2HDM parameter space. We have also discussed the implications for the 2HDM of the recent di-muon search by the ATLAS collaboration for a CP-odd scalar in the mass range 4-12 GeV.

Pair production of neutralinos and charginos at the LHC: the role of Higgs bosons exchange

We analyze the effects of the s-channel Higgs bosons exchange on the charginos and neutralinos-pair production in proton-proton collision at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in the following channels: $pp \to \Cha^+\Cha^-/\Neu^0\Neu^0 + X$, within the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). Assuming the usual GUT relation between $M_1$ and $M_2$ at the weak scale, we found that substantial enhancement can be obtained through s-channel Higgs bosons exchange in the mixed regime where $M_2 \sim |μ|$ with moderate to large $\tanβ$ at the resonance of the heavy Higgs bosons. By Combining the phenomenological constraints on neutralinos and charginos, we may still find regions of parameter space where charginos and neutralinos-pair production at the LHC from $b\bar b$ initial state can be large and observable at LHC. We also compute the full complete set of electroweak (EW) contributions to $pp\to gg\to \Cha^+\Cha^-/\Neu^0\Neu^0 + X$ at one loop level in the general MSSM. The analytical computation of the complete tree level amplitude for $b\bar{b} \to \Cha^+\Cha^-/\Neu^0\Neu^0 + X$, including s-channel Higgs exchange, is given.

Double Neutral Higgs production in the Two-Higgs doublet model at the LHC

In this work we study the production and decay of two CP-even Higgs bosons in the general CP-conserving two-Higgs doublet model at the LHC. We also study the limiting case of the decoupling scenario. For each Yukawa version of the model, we look for the region of the parameter space where a signal would be seen at the LHC. Taking into account theoretical and experimental constraints on the two Higgs doublet model parameters, we show that the cross section can be two orders of magnitude above the corresponding Standard Model cross section. We have also studied in detail the decay profile of the Higgs bosons and showed that interesting signatures may emerge for some particular values of the parameters. In some scenarios, specific triple Higgs could be measured.

Forward-backward asymmetry of top quark in diquark models

Motivated by the recent unexpected large forward-backward asymmetry (FBA) of the top quark observed by D$Ø$ and CDF at the Tevatron, we investigate a possible explanation for the anomaly within the framework of diquark models. Unlike other mechanisms induced by s-channel or t-channel, the top-quark pair production in the diquark models is dictated by the u-channel diagram. We find that the color-triplet diquark can generate the FBA of 20% when the constraint from the cross section of the top-quark pair production is taken into account.

Lepton flavor violating tau decays in type-III seesaw mechanism

In this paper, the lepton flavor violating $τ\to \ell P(V)$ ($P,V= π^0, η, η^{\prime}, ρ^0, ω, ϕ$) and $τ\to 3\ell$ ($\ell = e, μ$) decays are studied in the framework of the type-III seesaw model, in which new triplet fermions with a zero hypercharge (Y=0) interact with ordinary lepton doublets via Yukawa couplings, and affect tree-level leptonic Z-boson couplings. We investigate the experimental bound from the leptonic Z decay to get contraint on the exsiting parameters space. We predict that the upper limits on the branching ratios of $τ\to \ell P(V)$ and $τ\to 3\ell$ can reach the experimental current limits.

Collider Signatures for Heavy Lepton Triplet in Type I+III Seesaw

The minimal SU(5) theory augmented by the fermionic adjoint representation restores the coupling constant unification and gives realistic neutrino masses and mixing through the hybrid Type I and Type III seesaw. The crucial prediction of the theory is an SU(2) lepton triplet with the mass below TeV. We study the signature of these heavy leptons and propose the strategy to test this mechanism at the hadron and lepton colliders. The smoking gun evidence of the theory is Delta L=2 lepton number violation through events of a pair of like-sign leptons plus four jets without significant missing energy at hadron colliders. We find that via this unique channel, the heavy lepton can be searched for up to a mass of 200 GeV at the Tevatron with 8 fb^-1, and up to 450 (700) GeV at the LHC of 14 TeV C.M.energy with 10 (100) fb^-1. The signal rate at the 10 TeV LHC is reduced to 60-35% for a mass of 200-700 GeV. We also comment on how to distinguish this theory from other models with similar heavy leptons. Finally, we compare the production rates and angular distributions of heavy leptons in e+e- collisions for various models.

CP Violation in Fourth Generation Quark Decays

We show that, if a fourth generation is discovered at the Tevatron or LHC, one could study CP violation in b' \to s decays. Asymmetries could reach 30% for b'\to sZ for m_{b'} \lesssim 350 GeV, while it could be greater than 50% for b'\to sγand extend to higher m_{b'}. Branching ratios are 10^{-3}--10^{-5}, and CPV measurement requires tagging. Once measured, however, the CPV phase can be extracted with little theoretical uncertainty.

Higgs boson enhancement effects on squark-pair production at the LHC

We study the Higgs boson effects on third-generation squark-pair production in proton-proton collision at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), including $\Stop \Stop^*$, $\Stop\Sbot^*$, and $\Sbot \Sbot^*$. We found that substantial enhancement can be obtained through s-channel exchanges of Higgs bosons at large $\tanβ$, at which the enhancement mainly comes from $b\bar b$, $b\bar c$, and $c\bar b$ initial states. We compute the complete set of electroweak (EW) contributions to all production channels. This completes previous computations in the literature. We found that the EW contributions can be significant and can reach up to 25% in more general scenarios and at the resonance of the heavy Higgs boson. The size of Higgs enhancement is comparable or even higher than the PDF uncertainties and so must be included in any reliable analysis. A full analytical computation of all the EW contributions is presented.

CP violation in Charged Higgs Bosons decays $H^\pm \to W^\pm (γ, Z)$ in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM)

One loop mediated charged Higgs bosons decays $H^\pm\to W^\pm V$, $V= Z, γ$ are studied in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with and without CP violating phases. We evaluate the MSSM contributions to these processes taking into account $B\to X_sγ$ constraint as well as experimental constraints on the MSSM parameters. In the MSSM, we found that in the intermediate range of $\tanβ\la 10$ and for large A_t and large $μ$, where the lightest top squark becomes very light and hence non-decoupled, the branching ratio of $H^\pm \to W^{\pm} Z$ can be of the order 10^{-3} while the branching ratio of $H^\pm \to W^{\pm} γ$ is of the order 10^{-5}. We found also that the CP violating phases of soft SUSY parameters can modify the branching ratio by about one order of magnitude. We also show that MSSM with CP violating phases lead to CP-violating asymmetry in the decays $H^+ \to W^+V$ and $H^- \to W^-V$. Such CP asymmetry can be rather large and can reach 80% in some region of parameter space.

Associated production of a light pseudoscalar Higgs boson with a chargino pair in the NMSSM

In the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM), the unique $λS H_u H_d$ in the superpotential gives rise to a coupling involving the lighter pseudoscalar Higgs boson and a pair of charged or neutral Higgsinos, even in the limit of zero mixing between the two pseudoscalar Higgs bosons. We study the associated production of a very light pseudoscalar Higgs boson with a pair of charginos. The novel signature involves a pair of charged leptons from chargino decays and a pair of photons from the pseudoscalar Higgs boson decay, plus large missing energy at the LHC and ILC. The signal may help us to distinguish the NMSSM from MSSM, provided that the experiment can resolve the two photons from the decay of the pseudoscalar Higgs boson.

Flavor Changing Neutral Currents involving Heavy Quarks with Four Generations

We study various FCNC involving heavy quarks in the Standard Model (SM) with a sequential fourth generation. After imposing $B\to X_sγ$, $B\to X_sl^+l^-$ and $Z\to b\bar{b}$ constraints, we find ${\cal B}(Z\to s\bar{b}+\bar{s}b)$ can be enhanced by an order of magnitude to $10^{-7}$, while $t\to cZ, cH$ decays can reach $10^{-6}$, which are orders of magnitude higher than in SM. However, these rates are still not observable for the near future. With the era of LHC approaching, we focus on FCNC decays involving fourth generation $b^\prime$ and $t^\prime$ quarks. We calculate the rates for loop induced FCNC decays $b^\prime\to bZ, bH, bg, bγ$, as well as $t^\prime\to tZ,\tH, tg, tγ$. If $|V_{cb'}|$ is of order $|V_{cb}| \simeq 0.04$, tree level $b^\prime\to cW$ decay would dominate, posing a challenge since $b$-tagging is less effective. For $|V_{cb'}| \ll |V_{cb}|$, $b'\to tW$ would tend to dominate, while $b'\to t^\prime W^*$ could also open for heavier $b'$, leading to thepossibility of quadruple-$W$ signals via $b'\bar b'\to b\bar b W^+W^-W^+W^-$. The FCNC $b'\to bZ, bH$ decays could still dominate if $m_{b'}$ is just above 200 GeV. For the case of $t'$, ingeneral $t^\prime\to bW$ would be dominant, hence it behaves like a heavy top. For both $b'$ and $t'$, except for the intriguing light $b'$ case, FCNC decays are in the $10^{-4} -10^{-2}$ range, and are quite detectable at the LHC.For a possible future ILC, we find the associated production of FCNC $e^+e^-\to b\bar s$, $t\bar c$ are below sensitivity, while $e^+e^-\to b^\prime\bar b$ and$t^\prime\bar t$ can be better probed.Tevatron Run-II can still probe the lighter $b'$ or $t'$ scenario. LHC would either discover the fourth generation and measure the FCNC rates, or rule out the fourth generation conclusively.

Third generation sfermions decays into Z and W gauge bosons: full one-loop analysis

The complete one-loop radiative corrections to third generation scalar fermions into gauge bosons Z and W^\pm is considered. We focus on \wt{f}_2 \to Z \wt{f}_1 and \wt{f}_i \to W^\pm \wt{f'}_j (f,f'=t,b). We include both SUSY-QCD, QED and full electroweak corrections. It is found that the electroweak corrections can be of the same order as the SUSY-QCD corrections. The two sets of corrections interfere destructively in some region of parameter space. The full one loop correction can reach 10% in some SUGRA scenario, while in model independent analysis like general MSSM, the one loop correction can reach 20% for large \tanβand large trilinear soft breaking terms A_b.

Effect of Fourth Generation CP Phase on b\to s Transitions

We study the effect of a sequential fourth generation on b\to s gamma, B_s mixing, B\to K^{(*)}\ell^+\ell^-, X_s\ell^+\ell^- and ϕK_S, taking into account the presence of a new CP phase in quark mixing. We find that the effects via electromagnetic and strong penguins, such as in b\to s gamma or CP violation in B\to ϕK_S, are rather mild, but impact via box or Z penguins is quite significant. Not only can one have much larger than expected B_s mixing, even if it is measured near the present limit, mixing dependent CP violation could become maximal. For electroweak penguin modes, the fourth generation can provide the enhancement that perhaps may be needed, while the m_{\ell^+\ell^-} dependence of the forward-backward asymmetry in B\to K^{*}\ell^+\ell^- can further probe for the fourth generation. These effects can be studied in detail at the B factories and the Tevatron.

Radiative corrections to scalar-fermion pair production in high energy e+e- collisions

We study the one-loop radiative corrections to pair production of the supersymmetric scalar partners of the standard fermions in e+e- annihilation. Both electroweak and SUSY-QCD corrections are considered. Applications are for production of scalar fermions of the third generation, $e^+e^-\to \wt{f}_i \wt{f}_j^*$ (i,j=1,2), $f=t, b,τ$, as well as for production of scalar quarks of the first and second generation. Effects on integrated cross sections are discussed and also the one-loop induced forward-backward asymmetries are studied. It is found that at low energy, \sqrt{s}\approx 500 \to 1000 GeV, the corrections are dominated by the QCD contributions, At high energy, $\sqrt{s}\geq 2$ TeV, the electroweak box diagrams give a substantial contribution and even dominate in some regions of parameters space. The purely loop-induced forward-backward asymmetry can reach values of several per cent.

Impact of a Light Strange-Beauty Squark on B_s Mixing and Direct Search

If one has Abelian flavor symmetry, $s_R$-$b_R$ mixing could be near maximal. This can drive a "strange-beauty" squark ($\widetilde{sb}_{1}$) to be rather light, but still evade the $b\to sγ$ constraint. Low energy constraints imply that all other superpartners are at TeV scale, except for a possibly light neutralino, $\widetilde χ_1^0$. Whether light or heavy, the $\widetilde{sb}_{1}$ can impact on the $B_s$ system: $Δm_{B_s}$ and indirect CP phase, even for $B_s \to ϕγ$. Direct search is similar to usual $\tilde b \to b\widetilde χ_1^0$, but existing bounds are weakened by $\widetilde{sb}_{1} \to s\widetilde χ_1^0$ possibility. All these effects could be studied soon at the Tevatron.

Probing scalar-pseudoscalar mixing in the CP violating MSSM at high-energy $e^+e^-$ colliders

We study the production processes $e^+e^-\to H^0_iZ$, $H^0_iH^0_j$ and $H^0_iν_e\overline ν_e$ in the context of the CP violating MSSM. In a given channel we show that the cross-section for all i (=1,2,3) can be above 0.1 fb provided $M_{H_{2,3}}\la 300$ GeV. This should be detectable at a Next Linear Collider and would provide evidence for scalar-pseudoscalar mixing.

Supersymmetric Model Contributions to $B^0_d$--$\bar B^0_d$ Mixing and $B\toππ,ργ$ Decays

Recent results from Belle and BaBar Collaborations hint at a small $\sin2ϕ_1$, while the measured $B\toππ$ rate also seems to be on the low side. Supersymmetric (SUSY) models with down squark mixings can account for the deficits in both cases. By studying the origin of SUSY contributions that could impact on $B^0_d$--$\bar B^0_d$ mixing and $B\toππ$ decay, we find that the former would most likely arise from left-left or right-right squark mixings, while the latter would come from left-right squark mixings. These two processes in general are not much correlated in the Minimum Supersymmetric Standard Model. If the smallness of $B\toππ$ is due to SUSY models, one would likely have large $B\toργ$ from chiral enhancement, and the rate could be within present experimental reach. Even if $B\toργ$ is not greatly enhanced, it could have large mixing dependent CP violation.

Window on Higgs Boson: Fourth Generation $b^\prime$ Decays Revisited

Direct and indirect searches of the Higgs boson suggest that 113 GeV $\lesssim m_H \lesssim$ 170 GeV is likely. With the LEP era over and the Tevatron Run II search via $p\bar p \to WH+X$ arduous, we revisit a case where $WH$ or $ZH +$ jets could arise via strong $b^\prime\bar b^\prime$ pair production. In contrast to 10 years ago, the tight electroweak constraint on $t^\prime$--$b^\prime$ (hence $t^\prime$--$t$) splitting reduces FCNC $b^\prime\to bZ$, $bH$ rates, making $b^\prime\to cW$ naturally competitive. Such a "cocktail solution" is precisely the mix that could evade the CDF search for $b^\prime\to bZ$, and the $b^\prime$ may well be lurking below the top. In light of the Higgs program, this two-in-one strategy should be pursued.

Note on tree-level unitarity in the General Two Higgs Doublet Model

Tree-level unitarity constraints on the masses of the Higgs bosons in the general Two Higgs Doublet Model (THDM) are studied. We first consider the case where the Higgs potential is invariant under a discrete symmetry transformation, and derive strong constraints on the mass of the lightest CP-even Higgs boson ($M_h$) as a function of $\tanβ$. We then show that the inclusion of the discrete symmetry breaking term weakens the mass bounds considerably. It is suggested that a measurement of $M_h$ and $\tanβ$ may enable discrimination between the two Higgs potentials.

Yukawa coupling corrections to the decay $H^+ \to W^+ A^0$

We compute the fermionic radiative contributions to the decay $H^+ \to W^{+(*)} A^0$ in the framework of models with two Higgs doublets (2HDM), for the case of an on-shell and off-shell W. We show that, in the majority of the cases, current measurements of the $ρ$ parameter suggest $M_{H^{\pm}}\ge M_A$ and such decays could invalidate current charged Higgs searches or aid detection in the region $M_{H^{\pm}}\approx M_W$. We find that the radiative corrections may approach 50% for small values of $\tanβ$.
