Quantitative stability for the Brunn-Minkowski inequality

preprint2014arXivOpen access

Abstract

We prove a quantitative stability result for the Brunn-Minkowski inequality: if ∣A∣=∣B∣=1|A|=|B|=1, t∈[τ,1−τ]t \in [τ,1-τ] with τ>0τ>0, and ∣tA+(1−t)B∣1/n≤1+δ|tA+(1-t)B|^{1/n}\leq 1+δ for some small δδ, then, up to a translation, both AA and BB are quantitatively close (in terms of δδ) to a convex set KK.
