Dirac Particle with Memory: Proper Time Non-Locality

A generalization of the standard model of Dirac particle in external electromagnetic field is proposed. In the generalization we take into account interactions of this particle with environment, which is described by the memory function. This function takes into account that the behavior of the particle at proper time can depend not only at the present time, but also on the history of changes on finite time interval. In this case the Dirac particle can be considered an open quantum system with non-Markovian dynamics. The violation of the semigroup property of dynamic maps is a characteristic property of dynamics with memory. We use the Fock-Schwinger proper time method and derivatives of non-integer orders with respect to proper time. The fractional differential equation, which describes the Dirac particle with memory, and the expression of its exact solution are suggested. The asymptotic behavior of the proposed solutions is described.

Anisotropic Fractal Media by Vector Calculus in Non-Integer Dimensional Space

A review of different approaches to describe anisotropic fractal media is proposed. In this paper differentiation and integration non-integer dimensional and multi-fractional spaces are considered as tools to describe anisotropic fractal materials and media. We suggest a generalization of vector calculus for non-integer dimensional space by using a product measure method. The product of fractional and non-integer dimensional spaces allows us to take into account the anisotropy of the fractal media in the framework of continuum models. The integration over non-integer-dimensional spaces is considered. In this paper differential operators of first and second orders for fractional space and non-integer dimensional space are suggested. The differential operators are defined as inverse operations to integration in spaces with non-integer dimensions. Non-integer dimensional space that is product of spaces with different dimensions allows us to give continuum models for anisotropic type of the media. The Poisson's equation for fractal medium, the Euler-Bernoulli fractal beam, and the Timoshenko beam equations for fractal material are considered as examples of application of suggested generalization of vector calculus for anisotropic fractal materials and media.

Using a generalization of vector calculus for space with non-integer dimension, we consider elastic properties of fractal materials. Fractal materials are described by continuum models with non-integer dimensional space. A generalization of elasticity equations for non-integer dimensional space, and its solutions for equilibrium case of fractal materials are suggested. Elasticity problems for fractal hollow ball and cylindrical fractal elastic pipe with inside and outside pressures, for rotating cylindrical fractal pipe, for gradient elasticity and thermoelasticity of fractal materials are solved.

Fractal fluid is described as a continuum in non-integer dimensional space. A generalization of the Navier-Stokes equations for non-integer dimensional space, its solution for steady flow of fractal fluid in a pipe and corresponding fractal fluid discharge are suggested.

Fractional Diffusion Equations for Lattice and Continuum: Grunwald-Letnikov Differences and Derivatives Approach

Fractional diffusion equations for three-dimensional lattice models based on fractional-order differences of the Grunwald-Letnikov type are suggested. These lattice fractional diffusion equations contain difference operators that describe long-range jumps from one lattice site to other. In continuum limit, the suggested lattice diffusion equations with non-integer order differences give the diffusion equations with the Grunwald-Letnikov fractional derivatives for continuum. We propose a consistent derivation of the fractional diffusion equation with the fractional derivatives of Grunwald-Letnikov type. The suggested lattice diffusion equations can be considered as a new microstructural basis of space-fractional diffusion in nonlocal media.

Fractional Liouville Equation on Lattice Phase-Space

In this paper we propose a lattice analog of phase-space fractional Liouville equation. The Liouville equation for phase-space lattice with long-range jumps of power-law types is suggested. We prove that the continuum limit transforms this lattice equation into Liouville equation with conjugate Riesz fractional derivatives of non-integer orders with respect to coordinates of continuum phase-space. An application of the fractional Liouville equation with these Riesz fractional derivatives to describe properties of plasma-like nonlocal media is considered.

Fractional Power-Law Spatial Dispersion in Electrodynamics

Electric fields in non-local media with power-law spatial dispersion are discussed. Equations involving a fractional Laplacian in the Riesz form that describe the electric fields in such non-local media are studied. The generalizations of Coulomb's law and Debye's screening for power-law non-local media are characterized. We consider simple models with anomalous behavior of plasma-like media with power-law spatial dispersions. The suggested fractional differential models for these plasma-like media are discussed to describe non-local properties of power-law type.

General Lattice Model of Gradient Elasticity

New lattice model for the gradient elasticity is suggested. This lattice model gives a microstructural basis for second-order strain-gradient elasticity of continuum that is described by the linear elastic constitutive relation with the negative sign in front of the gradient. Moreover the suggested lattice model allows us to have a unified description of gradient models with positive and negative signs of the strain gradient terms. Possible generalizations of this model for the high-order gradient elasticity and three-dimensional case are also suggested.

Large Lattice Fractional Fokker-Planck Equation

Equation of long-range particle drift and diffusion on three-dimensional physical lattice is suggested. This equation can be considered as a lattice analogof space-fractional Fokker-Planck equation for continuum. The lattice approach gives a possible microstructural basis for anomalous diffusion in media that are characterized by the non-locality of power-law type. In continuum limit the suggested three-dimensional lattice Fokker-Planck equations give fractional Fokker-Planck equations for continuous media with power-law non-locality that is described by derivatives of non-integer orders. The consistent derivation of the fractional Fokker-Planck equation is proposed as a new basis to describe space-fractional diffusion processes.

Lattice Model of Fractional Gradient and Integral Elasticity: Long-Range Interaction of Grunwald-Letnikov-Riesz Type

Lattice model with long-range interaction of power-law type that is connected with difference of non-integer order is suggested. The continuous limit maps the equations of motion of lattice particles into continuum equations with fractional Grunwald-Letnikov-Riesz derivatives. The suggested continuum equations describe fractional generalizations of the gradient and integral elasticity. The proposed type of long-range interaction allows us to have united approach to describe of lattice models for the fractional gradient and fractional integral elasticity. Additional important advantages of this approach are the following: (1) It is possible to use this model of long-range interaction in numerical simulations since this type of interactions and the Grunwald-Letnikov derivatives are defined by generalized finite difference; (2) The suggested model of long-range interaction leads to an equation containing the sum of the Grunwald-Letnikov derivatives, which is equal the Riesz's derivative. This fact allows us to get particular analytical solutions of fractional elasticity equations.

Lattice Model with Nearest-Neighbor and Next-Nearest-Neighbor Interactions for Gradient Elasticity

Lattice models for the second-order strain-gradient models of elasticity theory are discussed. To combine the advantageous properties of two classes of second-gradient models, we suggest a new lattice model that can be considered as a discrete microstructural basis for gradient continuum models. It was proved that two classes of the second-gradient models (with positive and negative sign in front the gradient) can have a general lattice model as a microstructural basis. To obtain the second-gradient continuum models we consider a lattice model with the nearest-neighbor and next-nearest-neighbor interactions with two different coupling constants. The suggested lattice model gives unified description of the second-gradient models with positive and negative signs of the strain gradient terms. The sign in front the gradient is determined by the relation of the coupling constants of the nearest-neighbor and next-nearest-neighbor interactions.

Lattice Model with Power-Law Spatial Dispersion for Fractional Elasticity

A lattice model with a spatial dispersion corresponding to a power-law type is suggested. This model serves as a microscopic model for elastic continuum with power-law non-locality. We prove that the continuous limit maps of the equations for the lattice with the power-law spatial dispersion into the continuum equations with fractional generalizations of the Laplacian operators. The suggested continuum equations, which are obtained from the lattice model, are fractional generalizations of the integral and gradient elasticity models. These equations of fractional elasticity are solved for two special static cases: fractional integral elasticity and fractional gradient elasticity.

Lattice with Long-Range Interaction of Power-Law Type for Fractional Non-Local Elasticity

Lattice models with long-range interactions of power-law type are suggested as a new type of microscopic model for fractional non-local elasticity. Using the transform operation, we map the lattice equations into continuum equation with Riesz derivatives of non-integer orders. The continuum equations that are obtained from the lattice model describe fractional generalization of non-local elasticity models. Particular solutions and correspondent asymptotic of the fractional differential equations for displacement fields are suggested for the static case.

Review of Some Promising Fractional Physical Models

Fractional dynamics is a field of study in physics and mechanics investigating the behavior of objects and systems that are characterized by power-law non-locality, power-law long-term memory or fractal properties by using integrations and differentiation of non-integer orders, i.e., by methods of the fractional calculus. This paper is a review of physical models that look very promising for future development of fractional dynamics. We suggest a short introduction to fractional calculus as a theory of integration and differentiation of non-integer order. Some applications of integro-differentiations of fractional orders in physics are discussed. Models of discrete systems with memory, lattice with long-range inter-particle interaction, dynamics of fractal media are presented. Quantum analogs of fractional derivatives and model of open nano-system systems with memory are also discussed.

Vector Calculus in Non-Integer Dimensional Space and its Applications to Fractal Media

We suggest a generalization of vector calculus for the case of non-integer dimensional space. The first and second orders operations such as gradient, divergence, the scalar and vector Laplace operators for non-integer dimensional space are defined. For simplification we consider scalar and vector fields that are independent of angles. We formulate a generalization of vector calculus for rotationally covariant scalar and vector functions. This generalization allows us to describe fractal media and materials in the framework of continuum models with non-integer dimensional space. As examples of application of the suggested calculus, we consider elasticity of fractal materials (fractal hollow ball and fractal cylindrical pipe with pressure inside and outside), steady distribution of heat in fractal media, electric field of fractal charged cylinder. We solve the correspondent equations for non-integer dimensional space models.

Fractional Gradient Elasticity from Spatial Dispersion Law

Non-local elasticity models in continuum mechanics can be treated with two different approaches: the gradient elasticity models (weak non-locality) and the integral non-local models (strong non-locality). This article focuses on the fractional generalization of gradient elasticity that allows us to describe a weak non-locality of power-law type. We suggest a lattice model with spatial dispersion of power-law type as a microscopic model of fractional gradient elastic continuum. We prove that the continuous limit maps the equations for lattice with this spatial dispersion into the continuum equations with fractional Laplacians in the Riesz form. A weak non-locality of power-law type in the non-local elasticity theory is derived from the fractional weak spatial dispersion in the lattice model. The suggested continuum equations, which are obtained from the lattice model, describe a fractional generalization of the gradient elasticity. These equations of fractional elasticity are solved for some special cases: sub-gradient elasticity and super-gradient elasticity.

Non-Standard Extensions of Gradient Elasticity: Fractional Non-Locality, Memory and Fractality

Derivatives and integrals of non-integer order may have a wide application in describing complex properties of materials including long-term memory, non-locality of power-law type and fractality. In this paper we consider extensions of elasticity theory that allow us to describe elasticity of materials with fractional non-locality, memory and fractality. The basis of our consideration is an extension of the usual variational principle for fractional non-locality and fractality. For materials with power-law non-locality described by Riesz derivatives of non-integer order, we suggest a fractional variational equation. Equations for fractal materials are derived by a generalization of the variational principle for fractal media. We demonstrate the suggested approaches to derive corresponding generalizations of the Euler-Bernoulli beam and the Timoshenko beam equations for the considered fractional non-local and fractal models. Various equations for materials with fractional non-locality, fractality and fractional acceleration are considered.

Power-law Spatial Dispersion from Fractional Liouville Equation

A microscopic model in the framework of fractional kinetics to describe spatial dispersion of power-law type is suggested. The Liouville equation with the Caputo fractional derivatives is used to obtain the power-law dependence of the absolute permittivity on the wave vector. The fractional differential equations for electrostatic potential in the media with power-law spatial dispersion are derived. The particular solutions of these equations for the electric potential of point charge in this media are considered.

preprint2013arXiv

Towards Fractional Gradient Elasticity

An extension of gradient elasticity through the inclusion of spatial derivatives of fractional order to describe power-law type of non-locality is discussed. Two phenomenological possibilities are explored. The first is based on the Caputo fractional derivatives in one-dimension. The second involves the Riesz fractional derivative in three-dimensions. Explicit solutions of the corresponding fractional differential equations are obtained in both cases. In the first case it is shown that stress equilibrium in a Caputo elastic bar requires the existence of a non-zero internal body force to equilibrate it. In the second case, it is shown that in a Riesz type gradient elastic continuum under the action of a point load, the displacement may or may not be singular depending on the order of the fractional derivative assumed.

Differential Equations with Fractional Derivative and Universal Map with Memory

Discrete maps with long-term memory are obtained from nonlinear differential equations with Riemann-Liouville and Caputo fractional derivatives. These maps are generalizations of the well-known universal map. The memory means that their present state is determined by all past states with special forms of weights. To obtain discrete map from fractional differential equations, we use the equivalence of the Cauchy-type problems and to the nonlinear Volterra integral equations of second kind. General forms of the universal maps with memory, which take into account general initial conditions, for the cases of the Riemann-Liouville and Caputo fractional derivatives, are suggested.

Discrete Map with Memory from Fractional Differential Equation of Arbitrary Positive Order

Derivatives of fractional order with respect to time describe long-term memory effects. Using nonlinear differential equation with Caputo fractional derivative of arbitrary order $α>0$, we obtain discrete maps with power-law memory. These maps are generalizations of well-known universal map. The memory in these maps means that their present state is determined by all past states with power-law forms of weights. Discrete map equations are obtained by using the equivalence of the Cauchy-type problem for fractional differential equation and the nonlinear Volterra integral equation of the second kind.

Fokker-Planck Equation with Fractional Coordinate Derivatives

Using the generalized Kolmogorov-Feller equation with long-range interaction, we obtain kinetic equations with fractional derivatives with respect to coordinates. The method of successive approximations with the averaging with respect to fast variable is used. The main assumption is that the correlator of probability densities of particles to make a step has a power-law dependence. As a result, we obtain Fokker-Planck equation with fractional coordinate derivative of order $1<α<2$.

Fractional Dissipative Standard Map

Using kicked differential equations of motion with derivatives of noninteger orders, we obtain generalizations of the dissipative standard map. The main property of these generalized maps, which are called fractional maps, is long-term memory. The memory effect in the fractional maps means that their present state of evolution depends on all past states with special forms of weights. Already a small deviation of the order of derivative from the integer value corresponding to the regular dissipative standard map (small memory effects) leads to the qualitatively new behavior of the corresponding attractors. The fractional dissipative standard maps are used to demonstrate a new type of fractional attractors in the wide range of the fractional orders of derivatives.

Fractional Dynamics of Relativistic Particle

Fractional dynamics of relativistic particle is discussed. Derivatives of fractional orders with respect to proper time describe long-term memory effects that correspond to intrinsic dissipative processes. Relativistic particle subjected to a non-potential four-force is considered as a nonholonomic system. The nonholonomic constraint in four-dimensional space-time represents the relativistic invariance by the equation for four-velocity u_μ u^μ+c^2=0, where c is a speed of light in vacuum. In the general case, the fractional dynamics of relativistic particle is described as non-Hamiltonian and dissipative. Conditions for fractional relativistic particle to be a Hamiltonian system are considered.

Fractional dynamics of systems with long-range interaction

We consider one-dimensional chain of coupled linear and nonlinear oscillators with long-range power wise interaction defined by a term proportional to 1/|n-m|^{α+1}. Continuous medium equation for this system can be obtained in the so-called infrared limit when the wave number tends to zero. We construct a transform operator that maps the system of large number of ordinary differential equations of motion of the particles into a partial differential equation with the Riesz fractional derivative of order α, when 0<α<2. Few models of coupled oscillators are considered and their synchronized states and localized structures are discussed in details. Particularly, we discuss some solutions of time-dependent fractional Ginzburg-Landau (or nonlinear Schrodinger) equation.

Fractional Integro-Differential Equations for Electromagnetic Waves in Dielectric Media

We prove that the electromagnetic fields in dielectric media whose susceptibility follows a fractional power-law dependence in a wide frequency range can be described by differential equations with time derivatives of noninteger order. We obtain fractional integro-differential equations for electromagnetic waves in a dielectric. The electromagnetic fields in dielectrics demonstrate a fractional power-law relaxation. The fractional integro-differential equations for electromagnetic waves are common to a wide class of dielectric media regardless of the type of physical structure, the chemical composition, or the nature of the polarizing species (dipoles, electrons, or ions).

Fractional Powers of Derivatives in Classical Mechanics

Fractional analysis is applied to describe classical dynamical systems. Fractional derivative can be defined as a fractional power of derivative. The infinitesimal generators {H, .} and L=G(q,p) \partial_q+F(q,p) \partial_p, which are used in equations of motion, are derivative operators. We consider fractional derivatives on a set of classical observables as fractional powers of derivative operators. As a result, we obtain a fractional generalization of the equation of motion. This fractional equation is exactly solved for the simple classical systems. The suggested fractional equations generalize a notion of classical systems to describe dissipative processes.

Fractional Stability

A fractional generalization of variations is used to define a stability of non-integer order. Fractional variational derivatives are suggested to describe the properties of dynamical systems at fractional perturbations. We formulate stability with respect to motion changes at fractional changes of variables. Note that dynamical systems, which are unstable "in sense of Lyapunov", can be stable with respect to fractional variations.

Fractional Vector Calculus and Fractional Maxwell's Equations

The theory of derivatives and integrals of non-integer order goes back to Leibniz, Liouville, Grunwald, Letnikov and Riemann. The history of fractional vector calculus (FVC) has only 10 years. The main approaches to formulate a FVC, which are used in the physics during the past few years, will be briefly described in this paper. We solve some problems of consistent formulations of FVC by using a fractional generalization of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. We define the differential and integral vector operations. The fractional Green's, Stokes' and Gauss's theorems are formulated. The proofs of these theorems are realized for simplest regions. A fractional generalization of exterior differential calculus of differential forms is discussed. Fractional nonlocal Maxwell's equations and the corresponding fractional wave equations are considered.

Fractional Zaslavsky and Henon Discrete Maps

This paper is devoted to the memory of Professor George M. Zaslavsky passed away on November 25, 2008. In the field of discrete maps, George M. Zaslavsky introduced a dissipative standard map which is called now the Zaslavsky map. G. Zaslavsky initialized many fundamental concepts and ideas in the fractional dynamics and kinetics. In this paper, starting from kicked damped equations with derivatives of non-integer orders we derive a fractional generalization of discrete maps. These fractional maps are generalizations of the Zaslavsky map and the Henon map. The main property of the fractional differential equations and the correspondent fractional maps is a long-term memory and dissipation. The memory is realized by the fact that their present state evolution depends on all past states with special forms of weights.

Stationary States of Dissipative Quantum Systems

In this Letter we consider stationary states of dissipative quantum systems. We discuss stationary states of dissipative quantum systems, which coincide with stationary states of Hamiltonian quantum systems. Dissipative quantum systems with pure stationary states of linear harmonic oscillator are suggested. We discuss bifurcations of stationary states for dissipative quantum systems which are quantum analogs of classical dynamical bifurcations.

Fractional Generalization of Quantum Markovian Master Equation

We prove a generalization of the quantum Markovian equation for observables. In this generalized equation, we use superoperators that are fractional powers of completely dissipative superoperators. We prove that the suggested superoperators are infinitesimal generators of completely positive semigroups and describe the properties of this semigroup. We solve the proposed fractional quantum Markovian equation for the harmonic oscillator with linear friction. A fractional power of the Markovian superoperator can be considered a parameter describing a measure of "screening" of the environment of the quantum system: the environmental influence on the system is absent for $α=0$, the environment completely influences the system for $α=1$, and we have a powerlike environmental influence for $0<α<1$.

Fractional Standard Map

Properties of the phase space of the standard map with memory are investigated. This map was obtained from a kicked fractional differential equation. Depending on the value of the parameter of the map and the fractional order of the derivative in the original differential equation this nonlinear dynamical system demonstrates attractors (fixed points, stables periodic trajectories, slow converging and slow diverging trajectories, ballistic trajectories, and fractal-like structures) and/or chaotic trajectories. At least one type of fractal-like sticky attractors in the chaotic sea was observed.

Universal Electromagnetic Waves in Dielectric

The dielectric susceptibility of a wide class of dielectric materials follows, over extended frequency ranges, a fractional power-law frequency dependence that is called the "universal" response. The electromagnetic fields in such dielectric media are described by fractional differential equations with time derivatives of non-integer order. An exact solution of the fractional equations for a magnetic field is derived. The electromagnetic fields in the dielectric materials demonstrate fractional damping. The typical features of "universal" electromagnetic waves in dielectric are common to a wide class of materials, regardless of the type of physical structure, chemical composition, or of the nature of the polarizing species, whether dipoles, electrons or ions.

Weyl Quantization of Fractional Derivatives

The quantum analogs of the derivatives with respect to coordinates q_k and momenta p_k are commutators with operators P_k and $Q_k. We consider quantum analogs of fractional Riemann-Liouville and Liouville derivatives. To obtain the quantum analogs of fractional Riemann-Liouville derivatives, which are defined on a finite interval of the real axis, we use a representation of these derivatives for analytic functions. To define a quantum analog of the fractional Liouville derivative, which is defined on the real axis, we can use the representation of the Weyl quantization by the Fourier transformation.

Dynamics of Fractal Solids

We describe the fractal solid by a special continuous medium model. We propose to describe the fractal solid by a fractional continuous model, where all characteristics and fields are defined everywhere in the volume but they follow some generalized equations which are derived by using integrals of fractional order. The order of fractional integral can be equal to the fractal mass dimension of the solid. Fractional integrals are considered as an approximation of integrals on fractals. We suggest the approach to compute the moments of inertia for fractal solids. The dynamics of fractal solids are described by the usual Euler's equations. The possible experimental test of the continuous medium model for fractal solids is considered.

The method is applied to obtain a fractional generalization of the Ginzburg-Landau and nonlinear Schrodinger equations. As another example, dynamical equations for particles chain with power-law interaction and memory are considered in the continuous limit. Statistical mechanics of fractional generalization of the Hamiltonian systems is discussed. Liouville and Bogoliubov equations with fractional coordinate and momenta derivatives are considered as a basis to derive fractional kinetic equations. The Fokker-Planck-Zaslavsky equation that has fractional phase-space derivatives is obtained from fractional Bogoliubov equation. Dynamics with Low-Level Fractionality

The notion of fractional dynamics is related to equations of motion with one or a few terms with derivatives of a fractional order. This type of equation appears in the description of chaotic dynamics, wave propagation in fractal media, and field theory. For the fractional linear oscillator the physical meaning of the derivative of order $α<2$ is dissipation. In systems with many spacially coupled elements (oscillators) the fractional derivative, along the space coordinate, corresponds to a long range interaction. We discuss a method of constructing a solution using an expansion in $ε=n-α$ with small $ε$ and positive integer $n$. The method is applied to the fractional linear and nonlinear oscillators and to fractional Ginzburg-Landau or parabolic equations.

Fractional dynamics of coupled oscillators with long-range interaction

We consider one-dimensional chain of coupled linear and nonlinear oscillators with long-range power-wise interaction. The corresponding term in dynamical equations is proportional to $1/|n-m|^{α+1}$. It is shown that the equation of motion in the infrared limit can be transformed into the medium equation with the Riesz fractional derivative of order $α$, when $0<α<2$. We consider few models of coupled oscillators and show how their synchronization can appear as a result of bifurcation, and how the corresponding solutions depend on $α$. The presence of fractional derivative leads also to the occurrence of localized structures. Particular solutions for fractional time-dependent complex Ginzburg-Landau (or nonlinear Schrodinger) equation are derived. These solutions are interpreted as synchronized states and localized structures of the oscillatory medium.

Quantum Computer with Mixed States and Four-Valued Logic

In this paper we discuss a model of quantum computer in which a state is an operator of density matrix and gates are general quantum operations, not necessarily unitary. A mixed state (operator of density matrix) of n two-level quantum systems is considered as an element of 4^n-dimensional operator Hilbert space (Liouville space). It allows to use a quantum computer model with four-valued logic. The gates of this model are general superoperators which act on n-ququat state. Ququat is a quantum state in a four-dimensional (operator) Hilbert space. Unitary two-valued logic gates and quantum operations for an n-qubit open system are considered as four-valued logic gates acting on n-ququat. We discuss properties of quantum four-valued logic gates. In the paper we study universality for quantum four-valued logic gates.

Analog of Lie Algebra and Lie Group for Quantum Non-Hamiltonian Systems

Quantum mechanics of Hamiltonian (non-dissipative) systems uses Lie algebra and analytic group (Lie group). In order to describe non-Hamiltonian (dissipative) systems in quantum theory we need to use non-Lie algebra and analytic quasigroup (loop). The author derives that analog of Lie algebra for quantum non-Hamiltonian systems is commutant Lie algebra and analog of Lie group for these systems is analytic commutant associative loop (Valya loop). A commutant Lie algebra is an algebra such that commutant (a subspace which is generated by all commutators) is a Lie subalgebra. Valya loop is a non-associative loop such that the commutant of this loop is associative subloop (group). We prove that a tangent algebra of Valya loop is a commutant Lie algebra. It is shown that generalized Heisenberg-Weyl algebra, suggested by the author to describe quantum non-Hamiltonian (dissipative) systems, is a commutant Lie algebra. As the other example of commutant Lie algebra, it is considered a generalized Poisson algebra for differential 1-forms. Note that non-Hamiltonian (dissipative) quantum theory has a broad range of application for non-critical strings in "coupling constant" phase space and bosonic string in non-Riemannian (for example, affine-metric) curved space which are non-Hamiltonian (dissipative) systems.
