Non-Linear Generalization of the DLR Equations: $q$-Specifications and $q$-Equilibrium Measures

We introduce a {\it non-linear} generalization of the classical Dobrushin-Lanford-Ruelle (DLR) framework by developing the concept of a $q$-specification and the associated $q$-equilibrium measures. These objects arise naturally from a family of non-linear $q$-stochastic operators acting on the space of probability measures. A $q$-equilibrium measure is characterized as a fixed point of such operators, providing a non-linear analogue of the Gibbs equilibrium in the sense of DLR. We establish general conditions ensuring the existence and uniqueness of $q$-equilibrium measures and demonstrate how quasilocality plays a decisive role in their construction. Moreover, we exhibit examples of $q$-specifications with an empty set of $q$-equilibrium measures. We characterize the set of $q$-equilibrium measures by studying the dynamical systems generated by a class of $q$-stochastic operators. As a concrete application, we show that for the one-dimensional Ising model at sufficiently low temperatures, multiple $q$-equilibrium measures may exist, even though the classical Gibbs measure remains unique. Our results reveal that the $q$-specification formalism extends the DLR theory from linear to non-linear settings and opens a new direction in the study of Gibbs measures and equilibrium states of physical systems.

Kittel's molecular zipper model on Cayley trees

Kittel's 1D model represents a natural DNA with two strands as a (molecular) zipper, which may separated as the temperature is varied. We define multidimensional version of this model on a Cayley tree and study the set of Gibbs measures. We reduce description of Gibbs measures to solving of a non-linear functional equation, with unknown functions (called boundary laws) defined on vertices of the Cayley tree. Each boundary law defines a Gibbs measure. We give general formula of free energy depending on the boundary law. Moreover, we find some concrete boundary laws and corresponding Gibbs measures. Explicit critical temperature for occurrence a phase transition (non-uniqueness of Gibbs measures) is obtained.

Mirror symmetry of height-periodic gradient Gibbs measures of a SOS model on Cayley trees

For the solid-on-solid (SOS) model with spin values from the set of all integers on a Cayley tree we give gradient Gibbs measures (GGMs). Such a measure corresponds to a boundary law (which is an infinite-dimensional vector-valued function defined on vertices of the Cayley tree) satisfying an infinite system of functional equations. We give several concrete GGMs of boundary laws which are independent from vertices of the Cayley tree and (as an infinite-dimensional vector) have periodic, (non-)mirror symmetric coordinates.

Periodic points of a $p$-adic operator and their $p$-adic Gibbs measures

In this paper we investigate generalized Gibbs measure (GGM) for $p$-adic Hard-Core(HC) model with a countable set of spin values on a Cayley tree of order $k\geq 2$. This model is defined by $p$-adic parameters $λ_i$, $i\in \mathbb N$. We analyze $p$-adic functional equation which provides the consistency condition for the finite-dimensional generalized Gibbs distributions. Each solutions of the functional equation defines a GGM by $p$-adic version of Kolmogorov's theorem. We define $p$-adic Gibbs distributions as limit of the consistent family of finite-dimensional generalized Gibbs distributions and show that, for our $p$-adic HC model on a Cayley tree, such a Gibbs distribution does not exist. Under some conditions on parameters $p$, $k$ and $λ_i$ we find the number of translation-invariant and two-periodic GGMs for the $p$-adic HC model on the Cayley tree of order two.

A Regular Gonosomal Evolution Operator with uncountable set of fixed points

In this paper we study dynamical systems generated by a gonosomal evolution operator of a bisexual population. We find explicitly all (uncountable set) of fixed points of the operator. It is shown that each fixed point has eigenvalues less or equal to 1. Moreover, we show that each trajectory converges to a fixed point, i.e. the operator is reqular. There are uncountable family of invariant sets each of which consisting unique fixed point. Thus there is one-to-one correspondence between such invariant sets and the set of fixed points. Any trajectory started at a point of the invariant set converges to the corresponding fixed point.

Gradient Gibbs measures of a SOS model on Cayley trees: 4-periodic boundary laws

For SOS (solid-on-solid) model with external field and with spin values from the set of all integers, on a Cayley tree we give gradient Gibbs measures (GGMs). Such a measure corresponds to a boundary law (a function defined on vertices of Cayley tree) satisfying an infinite system of functional equations. We give several concrete GGMs which correspond to periodic boundary laws.

A discrete-time dynamical system of stage-structured wild and sterile mosquito population

We study the discrete-time dynamical systems associated to a stage-structured wild and sterile mosquito population. We describe all fixed points of the evolution operator (which depends on five parameters) of mosquito population and show that depending on the parameters this operator may have unique, two and infinitely many fixed points. Under some general conditions on parameters we determine type of each fixed point and give the limit points of the dynamical system. Moreover, for a special case of parameters we give full analysis of corresponding dynamical system. We give some biological interpretations of our results.

Dynamical system of a mosquito population with distinct birth-death rates

We study the discrete-time dynamical systems of a model of wild mosquito population with distinct birth (denoted by $β$) and death (denoted by $μ$) rates. The case $μ=β$ was considered in our previous work. In this paper we prove that for $β<μ$ the mosquito population will die and for $β>μ$ the population will survive, namely, the number of the larvaes goes to infinite and the number of adults has finite limit ${α\over μ}$, where $α>0$ is the maximum emergence rete.

Leslie's prey-predator model in discrete time

We consider the Leslie's prey-predator model with discrete-time. This model is given by a non-linear evolution operator depending on five parameters. We show that this operator has two fixed points and define type of each fixed point depending on the parameters. Finding two invariant sets of the evolution operator we study the dynamical systems generated by the operator on each invariant set. Depending on the parameters we classify the dynamics between a predator and a prey of the Leslie's model.

Planktons discrete-time dynamical systems

In this paper, we initiate the study of a discrete-time dynamical system modelling a trophic network connecting the three types of plankton (phytoplankton, zooplankton, mixoplankton) and bacteria. The nonlinear operator V associated with this dynamical system is of type 4-Volterra quadratic stochastic operator (QSO) with twelve parameters. We give conditions on the parameters under which this operator maps the five-dimensional standard simplex to itself and we find its fixed points. Moreover, we study the limit points of trajectories for this operator. For each situations we give some biological interpretations.

Quadratic stochastic processes of type $(σ|μ)$

We construct quadratic stochastic processes (QSP) (also known as Markov processes of cubic matrices) in continuous and discrete times. These are dynamical systems given by (a fixed type, called $σ$) stochastic cubic matrices satisfying an analogue of Kolmogorov-Chapman equation (KCE) with respect to a fixed multiplications (called $μ$) between cubic matrices. The existence of a stochastic (at each time) solution to the KCE provides the existence of a QSP called a QSP of type $(σ| μ)$. In this paper, our aim is to construct and study trajectories of QSPs for specially chosen notions of stochastic cubic matrices and a wide class of multiplications of such matrices (known as Maksimov's multiplications).

Thermodynamics of interacting system of DNAs

We define a DNA as a sequence of $1, 2$'s and embed it on a path of Cayley tree in such a way that each vertex of the Cayley tree belongs only to one of DNA and each DNA has its own countably many set of neighboring DNAs. The Hamiltonian of this set of DNAs is a model with two spin values considered as DNA base pairs. We describe translation invariant Gibbs measures (TIGM) of the model on the Cayley tree of order two and use them to study thermodynamic properties of the model of DNAs. We show that there is a critical temperature $T_{\rm c}$ such that (i) if temperature $T\geq T_{\rm c}$ then there exists unique TIGM; (ii) if $T<T_{\rm c}$ then there are three TIGMs. Each TIGM gives a phase of the set of DNAs. In case of very high and very low temperatures we give stationary distributions and typical configurations of the model.

Algebras of cubic matrices

We consider algebras of $m\times m\times m$-cubic matrices (with $m=1,2,\dots$). Since there are several kinds of multiplications of cubic matrices, one has to specify a multiplication first and then define an algebra of cubic matrices (ACM) with respect to this multiplication. We mainly use the associative multiplications introduced by Maksimov. Such a multiplication depends on an associative binary operation on the set of size $m$. We introduce a notion of equivalent operations and show that such operations generate isomorphic ACMs. It is shown that an ACM is not baric. An ACM is commutative iff $m=1$. We introduce a notion of accompanying algebra (which is $m^2$-dimensional) and show that there is a homomorphism from any ACM to the accompanying algebra. We describe (left and right) symmetric operations and give left and right zero divisors of the corresponding ACMs. Moreover several subalgebras and ideals of an ACM are constructed.

Constrained evolution algebras and dynamical systems of a bisexual population

Consider a bisexual population such that the set of females can be partitioned into finitely many different types indexed by $\{1,2,\dots,n\}$ and, similarly, that the male types are indexed by $\{1,2,\dots,ν\}$. Recently an evolution algebra of bisexual population was introduced by identifying the coefficients of inheritance of a bisexual population as the structure constants of the algebra. In this paper we study constrained evolution algebra of bisexual population in which type "1" of females and males have preference. For such algebras sets of idempotent and absolute nilpotent elements are known. We consider two particular cases of this algebra, giving more constrains on the structural constants of the algebra. By the first our constrain we obtain an $n+ν$- dimensional algebra with a matrix of structural constants containing only 0 and 1. In the second case we consider $n=ν=2$ but with general constrains. In both cases we study dynamical systems generated by the quadratic evolution operators of corresponding constrained algebras. We find all fixed points, limit points and some 2-periodic points of the dynamical systems. Moreover we study several properties of the constrained algebras connecting them to the dynamical systems. We give some biological interpretation of our results.

Flow of finite-dimensional algebras

Each finite-dimensional algebra can be identified to the cubic matrix given by structural constants defining the multiplication between the basis elements of the algebra. In this paper we introduce the notion of flow (depending on time) of finite-dimensional algebras. This flow can be considered as a particular case of (continuous-time) dynamical system whose states are finite-dimensional algebras with matrices of structural constants satisfying an analogue of Kolmogorov-Chapman equation. These flows of algebras (FA) can also be considered as deformations of algebras with the rule (the evolution equation) given by Kolmogorov-Chapman equation. We mainly use the multiplications of cubic matrices which were introduced by Maksimov and consider Kolmogorov-Chapman equation with respect to these multiplications. If all cubic matrices of structural constants are stochastic (there are several kinds of stochasticity) then the corresponding FA is called stochastic FA (SFA). We define SFA generated by known quadratic stochastic processes. For some multiplications of cubic matrices we reduce Kolmogorov-Chapman equation given for cubic matrices to the equation given for square matrices. Using this result many FAs are given (time homogenous, time non-homogenous, periodic, etc.). For a periodic FA we construct a continuum set of finite-dimensional algebras and show that the corresponding discrete time FA is dense in the set. Moreover, we give a construction of an FA which contains algebras of arbitrary (finite) dimension. For several FAs we describe the time depending behavior (dynamics) of the properties to be baric, limit algebras, commutative, evolution algebras or associative algebras.

Fuzzy transformations and extremality of Gibbs measures for the Potts model on a Cayley tree

We continue our study of the full set of translation-invariant splitting Gibbs measures (TISGMs, translation-invariant tree-indexed Markov chains) for the $q$-state Potts model on a Cayley tree. In our previous work \cite{KRK} we gave a full description of the TISGMs, and showed in particular that at sufficiently low temperatures their number is $2^{q}-1$. In this paper we find some regions for the temperature parameter ensuring that a given TISGM is (non-)extreme in the set of all Gibbs measures. In particular we show the existence of a temperature interval for which there are at least $2^{q-1} + q$ extremal TISGMs. For the Cayley tree of order two we give explicit formulae and some numerical values.

Tree-hierarchy of DNA and distribution of Holliday junctions

We define a DNA as a sequence of $\pm 1$'s and embed it on a path of Cayley tree. Using group representation of the Cayley tree, we give a hierarchy of a countable set of DNAs each of which 'lives' on the same Cayley tree. This hierarchy has property that each vertex of the Cayley tree belongs only to one of DNA. Then we give a model (energy, Hamiltonian) of this set of DNAs by an analogue of Ising model with three spin values (considered as DNA base pairs) on a set of admissible configurations. To study thermodynamic properties of the model of DNAs we describe corresponding translation invariant Gibbs measures (TIGM) of the model on the Cayley tree of order two. We show that there is a critical temperature $T_{\rm c}$ such that (i) if temperature $T>T_{\rm c}$ then there exists unique TIGM; (ii) if $T=T_{\rm c}$ then there are two TIGMs; (iii) if $T<T_{\rm c}$ then there are three TIGMs. Each such measure describes a phase of the set of DNAs. We use these results to study distributions of Holliday junctions and branches of DNAs. In case of very high and very low temperatures we give stationary distributions and typical configurations of the Holliday junctions.

Dynamical systems generated by a gonosomal evolution operator

In this paper we consider discrete-time dynamical systems generated by gonosomal evolution operators of sex linked inheritance. Mainly we study dynamical systems of a hemophilia, which biologically is a group of hereditary genetic disorders that impair the body's ability to control blood clotting or coagulation, which is used to stop bleeding when a blood vessel is broken. We give an algebraic model of the biological system corresponding to the hemophilia. The evolution of such system is studied by a nonlinear (quadratic) gonosomal operator. In a general setting, this operator is considered as a mapping from $\mathbb R^n$, $n\geq 2$ to itself. In particular, for a gonosomal operator at $n=4$ we explicitly give all (two) fixed points. Then limit points of the trajectories of the corresponding dynamical system are studied. Moreover we consider a normalized version of the gonosomal operator. In the case $n=4$, for the normalized gonosomal operator we show uniqueness of fixed point and study limit points of the dynamical system.

On cubic stochastic operators and processes

In this paper analogically as quadratic stochastic operators and processes we define cubic stochastic operator (CSO) and cubic stochastic processes (CSP). These are defined on the set of all probability measures of a measurable space. The measurable space can be given on a finite or continual set. The finite case has been investigated before. So here we mainly work on the continual set. We give a construction of a CSO and show that dynamical systems generated by such a CSO can be studied by studying of the behavior of trajectories of a CSO given on a finite dimensional simplex. We define a CSP and drive differential equations for such CSPs with continuous time.

Some results on subalgebras of EACP and ideals on low-dimensional EACP are obtained.

The dynamical system generated by the floor function $\lfloorλx\rfloor$

We investigate the dynamical system generated by the function $\lfloorλx\rfloor$ defined on $\mathbb R$ and with a parameter $λ\in \mathbb R$. For each given $m\in \mathbb N$ we show that there exists a region of values of $λ$, where the function has exactly $m$ fixed points (which are non-negative integers), also there is another region for $λ$, where there are exactly $m+1$ fixed points (which are non-positive integers). Moreover the full set $\mathbb Z$ of integer numbers is the set of fixed points iff $λ=1$. We show that depending on $λ$ and on the initial point $x$ the limit of the forward orbit of the dynamical system may be one of the following possibilities: (i) a fixed point, (ii) a two-periodic orbit or (iii) $\pm\infty$.

Description of all translation-invariant $p$-adic Gibbs measures for the Potts model on a Cayley tree

Recently it was proved that usual (real) Potts model on a Cayley tree has up to $2^q-1$ translation-invariant Gibbs measures. This paper is devoted to description of translation- invariant $p$-adic Gibbs measures (TIpGMs) of the $p$-adic Potts model. In particular, for the Cayley tree of order two we give exact number of such measures. Mereover we give criterion of boundedness of TIpGMs.

Description of the translation-invariant splitting Gibbs measures for the Potts model on a Cayley tree

For the $q$-state Potts model on a Cayley tree of order $k\geq 2$ it is well-known that at sufficiently low temperatures there are at least $q+1$ translation-invariant Gibbs measures which are also tree-indexed Markov chains. Such measures are called translation-invariant splitting Gibbs measures (TISGMs). In this paper we find all TISGMs, and show in particular that at sufficiently low temperatures their number is $2^{q}-1$. We prove that there are $[q/2]$ (where $[a]$ is the integer part of $a$) critical temperatures at which the number of TISGMs changes and give the exact number of TISGMs for each intermediate temperature. For the binary tree we give explicit formulae for the critical temperatures and the possible TISGMs. While we show that these measures are never convex combinations of each other, the question which of these measures are extremals in the set of all Gibbs measures will be treated in future work.

Extremality of translation-invariant phases for a finite-state SOS-model on the binary tree

We consider the SOS (solid-on-solid) model, with spin values $0,1,2$, on the Cayley tree of order two (binary tree). We treat both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic coupling, with interactions which are proportional to the absolute value of the spin differences. We present a classification of all translation-invariant phases (splitting Gibbs measures) of the model: We show uniqueness in the case of antiferromagnetic interactions, and existence of up to seven phases in the case of ferromagnetic interactions, where the number of phases depends on the interaction strength. Next we investigate whether these states are extremal or non-extremal in the set of all Gibbs measures, when the coupling strength is varied, whenever they exist. We show that two states are always extremal, two states are always non-extremal, while three of the seven states make transitions between extremality and non-extremality. We provide explicit bounds on those transition values, making use of algebraic properties of the models, and an adaptation of the method of Martinelli, Sinclair, Weitz.

On nilpotent index and dibaricity of evolution algebras

An evolution algebra corresponds to a quadratic matrix $A$ of structural constants. It is known the equivalence between nil, right nilpotent evolution algebras and evolution algebras which are defined by upper triangular matrices $A$. We establish a criterion for an $n$-dimensional nilpotent evolution algebra to be with maximal nilpotent index $2^{n-1}+1$. We give the classification of finite-dimensional complex evolution algebras with maximal nilpotent index. Moreover, for any $s=1,...,n-1$ we construct a wide class of $n$-dimensional evolution algebras with nilpotent index $2^{n-s}+1$. We show that nilpotent evolution algebras are not dibaric and establish a criterion for two-dimensional real evolution algebras to be dibaric.

Dynamics of two-dimensional evolution algebras

Recently by Casas, Ladra and Rozikov a notion of a chain of evolution algebras is introduced. This chain is a dynamical system the state of which at each given time is an evolution algebra. The sequence of matrices of the structural constants for this chain of evolution algebras satisfies the Chapman-Kolmogorov equation. In this paper we construct 25 distinct examples of chains of two-dimensional evolution algebras. For all of these 25 chains we study the behavior of the baric property, the behavior of the set of absolute nilpotent elements and dynamics of the set of idempotent elements depending on the time.

Evolution algebra of a "chicken" population

We consider an evolution algebra which corresponds to a bisexual population with a set of females partitioned into finitely many different types and the males having only one type. We study basic properties of the algebra. This algebra is commutative (and hence flexible), not associative and not necessarily power associative, in general. Moreover it is not unital. A condition is found on the structural constants of the algebra under which the algebra is associative, alternative, power associative, nilpotent, satisfies Jacobi and Jordan identities. In a general case, we describe the full set of idempotent elements and the full set of absolute nilpotent elements. The set of all operators of left (right) multiplications is described. Under some conditions on the structural constants it is proved that the corresponding algebra is centroidal. Moreover the classification of 2-dimensional and some 3-dimensional algebras are obtained.

On a non-linear $p$-adic dynamical system

We investigate the behavior of trajectories of a $(3,2)$-rational $p$-adic dynamical system in the complex $p$-adic filed ${\mathbb C}_p$, when there exists a unique fixed point $x_0$. We study this $p$-adic dynamical system by dynamics of real radiuses of balls (with the center at the fixed point $x_0$). We show that there exists a radius $r$ depending on parameters of the rational function such that: when $x_0$ is an attracting point then the trajectory of an inner point from the ball $U_r(x_0)$ goes to $x_0$ and each sphere with a radius $>r$ (with the center at $x_0$) is invariant; When $x_0$ is a repeller point then the trajectory of an inner point from a ball $U_r(x_0)$ goes forward to the sphere $S_r(x_0)$. Once the trajectory reaches the sphere, in the next step it either goes back to the interior of $U_r(x_0)$ or stays in $S_r(x_0)$ for some time and then goes back to the interior of the ball. As soon as the trajectory goes outside of $U_r(x_0)$ it will stay (for all the rest of time) in the sphere (outside of $U_r(x_0)$) that it reached first.

On dibaric and evolution algebras

We find conditions on ideals of an algebra under which the algebra is dibaric. Dibaric algebras have not non-zero homomorphisms to the set of the real numbers. We introduce a concept of bq-homomorphism (which is given by two linear maps $f, g$ of the algebra to the set of the real numbers) and show that an algebra is dibaric if and only if it admits a non-zero bq-homomorphism. Using the pair $(f,g)$ we define conservative algebras and establish criteria for a dibaric algebra to be conservative. Moreover, the notions of a Bernstein algebra and an algebra induced by a linear operator are introduced and relations between these algebras are studied. For dibaric algebras we describe a dibaric algebra homomorphism and study their properties by bq-homomorphisms of the dibaric algebras. We apply the results to the (dibaric) evolution algebra of a bisexual population. For this dibaric algebra we describe all possible bq-homomorphisms and find conditions under which the algebra of a bisexual population is induced by a linear operator. Moreover, some properties of dibaric algebra homomorphisms of such algebras are studied.

On real chains of evolution algebras

In this paper we define a chain of $n$-dimensional evolution algebras corresponding to a permutation of $n$ numbers. We show that a chain of evolution algebras (CEA) corresponding to a permutation is trivial (consisting only algebras with zero-multiplication) iff the permutation has not a fixed point. We show that a CEA is a chain of nilpotent algebras (independently on time) iff it is trivial. We construct a wide class of chains of 3-dimensional EAs and a class of symmetric $n$-dimensional CEAs. A construction of arbitrary dimensional CEAs is given. Moreover, for a chain of 3-dimensional EAs we study the behavior of the baric property, the behavior of the set of absolute nilpotent elements and dynamics of the set of idempotent elements depending on the time.

For $k=1$ we show that there is no any periodic Gibbs measure. In this paper we give a concept of multi-dimensional-time dynamical system (MDTDS). Such dynamical system is generated by a finite family of functions $\{f_i\}$. The multi-dimensional-time space is taken as a free group. Using the subgroups of the free group we define periodic orbits of MDTDS and construct such orbits. We study fixed points of MDTDS and show that the set of the fixed points is the intersection of the set of fixed points of each $f_i$. The $ω$-limit set of the MDTDS is defined and some properties of the set is studied. Moreover we construct a MDTDS for income of a deposit from several banks and construct a MDTDS on circle. For these MDTDSs we describe the set of fixed and periodic points. We discuss several open problems.

Dynamics of linear maps of idempotent measures

We describe all linear operators which maps $n-1$-dimensional simplex of idempotent measures to itself. Such operators divided to two classes: the first class contains all $n\times n$-matrices with non-negative entries which has at least one zero-row; the second class contains all $n\times n$-matrices with non-negative entries which in each row and in each column has exactly one non-zero entry. These matrices play a role of the stochastic matrices in case of idempotent measures. For both classes of linear maps we find fixed points. We also study the dynamical systems generated by the linear maps of the set of idempotent measures.

$p$-adic $(2,1)$-rational dynamical systems

We investigate the trajectory of an arbitrary $(2,1)$-rational $p$-adic dynamical system in a complex $p$-adic field $\C_p$. (i) In the case where there is no fixed point we show that the $p$-adic dynamical system has a 2-periodic cycle $x_1, x_2$. If it is attracting then it attracts each trajectory which starts from an element of a ball of radius $r=|x_1-x_2|_p$ with the center at $x_1$ or at $x_2$. If the 2-periodic cycle is an indifferent, then in each step the balls transfer to each other. All the other spheres with radius $>r$ and the center at $x_1$ and $x_2$ are invariant independently of the attractiveness of the cycle. (ii) In the case where the fixed point $x_0$ is unique we prove that if the point is attracting then there exists $δ>0$, such that the basin of attraction for $x_0$ is the ball of radius $δ$ and the center at $x_0$ and any sphere with radius $\geq δ$ is invariant. If $x_0$ is an indifferent point then all spheres with the center at $x_0$ are invariant. If $x_0$ is a repelling point then there exits $δ>0$, such that the trajectory which starts at an element of the ball of radius $δ$ with the center in $x_0$ leaves this ball, whereas any sphere with radius $\geq δ$ is invariant. (iii) In case of existence of two fixed points, we show that Siegel disks may either coincide or be disjoint for different fixed points of the dynamical system. Besides, we find the basin of the attractor of the system. Varying the parameters it is proven that there exists an integer $k\geq 2$, and spheres $S_{r_1}(x_i), ..., S_{r_k}(x_i)$ such that the limiting trajectory will be periodically traveling the spheres $S_{r_j}$. For some values of the parameters there are trajectories which go arbitrary far from the fixed points.

A chain of evolution algebras

We introduce a notion of chain of evolution algebras. The sequence of matrices of the structural constants for this chain of evolution algebras satisfies an analogue of Chapman-Kolmogorov equation. We give several examples (time homogenous, time non-homogenous, periodic, etc.) of such chains. For a periodic chain of evolution algebras we construct a continuum set of non-isomorphic evolution algebras and show that the corresponding discrete time chain of evolution algebras is dense in the set. We obtain a criteria for an evolution algebra to be baric and give a concept of a property transition. For several chains of evolution algebras we describe the behavior of the baric property depending on the time. For a chain of evolution algebras given by the matrix of a two-state evolution we define a baric property controller function and under some conditions on this controller we prove that the chain is not baric almost surely (with respect to Lebesgue measure). We also construct examples of the almost surely baric chains of evolution algebras. We show that there are chains of evolution algebras such that if it has a unique (resp. infinitely many) absolute nilpotent element at a fixed time, then it has unique (resp. infinitely many) absolute nilpotent element any time; also there are chains of evolution algebras which have not such property. For an example of two dimensional chain of evolution algebras we give the full set of idempotent elements and show that for some values of parameters the number of idempotent elements does not depend on time, but for other values of parameters there is a critical time $t_{c}$ such that the chain has only two idempotent elements if time $t\geq t_{\rm c}$ and it has four idempotent elements if time $t< t_{\rm c}$

Classification of p-adic 6-dimensional filiform Leibniz algebras by solution of x^q=a

In this paper we study the $p$-adic equation $x^q=a$ over the field of $p$-adic numbers. We construct an algorithm of calculation of criteria of solvability in the case of $q=p^m$ and present a computer program to compute the criteria for fixed value of $m \leq p-1$. Moreover, using this solvability criteria for $q=2,3,4,5,6$, we classify $p$-adic 6-dimensional filiform Leibniz algebras.

On $p$-adic Gibbs Measures for Hard Core Model on a Cayley Tree

In this paper we consider a nearest-neighbor $p$-adic hard core (HC) model, with fugacity $λ$, on a homogeneous Cayley tree of order $k$ (with $k + 1$ neighbors). We focus on $p$-adic Gibbs measures for the HC model, in particular on $p$-adic "splitting" Gibbs measures generating a $p$-adic Markov chain along each path on the tree. We show that the $p$-adic HC model is completely different from real HC model: For a fixed $k$ we prove that the $p$-adic HC model may have a splitting Gibbs measure only if $p$ divides $2^k-1$. Moreover if $p$ divides $2^k-1$ but does not divide $k+2$ then there exists unique translational invariant $p$-adic Gibbs measure. We also study $p$-adic periodic splitting Gibbs measures and show that the above model admits only translational invariant and periodic with period two (chess-board) Gibbs measures. For $p\geq 7$ (resp. $p=2,3,5$) we give necessary and sufficient (resp. necessary) conditions for the existence of a periodic $p$-adic measure. For k=2 a $p$-adic splitting Gibbs measures exists if and only if p=3, in this case we show that if $λ$ belongs to a $p$-adic ball of radius 1/27 then there are precisely two periodic (non translational invariant) $p$-adic Gibbs measures. We prove that a $p$-adic Gibbs measure is bounded if and only if $p\ne 3$.

Solvability criteria for the equation $x^q=a$ in the field of $p$-adic numbers

We establish the solvability criteria for the equation $x^q=a$ in the field of $p$-adic numbers, for any $q$ in two cases: (i) $q$ is not divisible by $p$; (ii) $q=p$. Using these criteria we show that any $p$-adic number can be represented in finitely many different forms and we describe the algorithms to obtain the corresponding representations. Moreover it is showed that solvability problem of $x^q=a$ for any $q$ can be reduced to the cases (i) and (ii).

Evolution algebra of a bisexual population

We introduce an (evolution) algebra identifying the coefficients of inheritance of a bisexual population as the structure constants of the algebra. The basic properties of the algebra are studied. We prove that this algebra is commutative (and hence flexible), not associative and not necessarily power associative. We show that the evolution algebra of the bisexual population is not a baric algebra, but a dibaric algebra and hence its square is baric. Moreover, we show that the algebra is a Banach algebra. The set of all derivations of the evolution algebra is described. We find necessary conditions for a state of the population to be a fixed point or a zero point of the evolution operator which corresponds to the evolution algebra. We also establish upper estimate of the limit points set for trajectories of the evolution operator. Using the necessary conditions we give a detailed analysis of a special case of the evolution algebra (bisexual population of which has a preference on type "1" of females and males). For such a special case we describe the full set of idempotent elements and the full set of absolute nilpotent elements.

Exact solution of a generalized ANNNI model on a Cayley tree

We consider the Ising model on a Cayley tree of order two with nearest neighbor interactions and competing next nearest neighbor interactions restricted to spins belonging to the same branch of the tree. This model was studied by Vannimenus and found a new modulated phase, in addition to the paramagnetic, ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic phases and a (+ + - -) periodic phase. Vannimenus's results based on the recurrence equations (relating the partition function of an $n-$ generation tree to the partition function of its subsystems containing $(n-1)$ generations) and most results are obtained numerically. In this paper we analytically study the recurrence equations and obtain some exact results: critical temperatures and curves, number of several phases, partition function.

On evolution algebras

The structural constants of an evolution algebra is given by a quadratic matrix $A$. In this work we establish equivalence between nil, right nilpotent evolution algebras and evolution algebras, which are defined by upper triangular matrix $A$. The classification of 2-dimensional complex evolution algebras is obtained. For an evolution algebra with a special form of the matrix $A$ we describe all its isomorphisms and their compositions. We construct an algorithm running under Mathematica which decides if two finite dimensional evolution algebras are isomorphic.

Gibbs Measures For SOS Models On a Cayley Tree

We consider a nearest-neighbor SOS model, spin values $0,1,..., m$, $m\geq 2$, on a Cayley tree of order $k$ . We mainly assume that $m=2$ and study translation-invariant (TI) and `splitting' (S) Gibbs measures (GMs). For $m=2$, in the anti-ferromagnetic (AFM) case, a symmetric TISGM is unique for all temperatures. In the ferromagnetic (FM) case, for $m=2$, the number of symmetric TISGMs varies with the temperature: here we identify a critical inverse temperature, $β^1_{\rm{cr}}$ ($=T_{\rm{cr}}^{\rm{STISG}}$) $\in (0,\infty)$ such that $\forall$ $0\leq β\leqβ^1_{\rm{cr}}$, there exists a unique symmetric TISGM $μ^*$ and $\forall$ $β>β^1_{\rm{cr}}$ there are exactly three symmetric TISGMs : $μ^*_+$, $μ^*_{\rm m}$ and $μ^*_-$ For $β>β^1_{\rm{cr}}$ we also construct a continuum of distinct, symmertric SGMs which are non-TI. Our second result gives complete description of the set of periodic Gibbs measures for the SOS model on a Cayley tree. We show that (i) for an FM SOS model, for any normal subgroup of finite index, each periodic SGM is in fact TI. Further, (ii) for an AFM SOS model, for any normal subgroup of finite index, each periodic SGM is either TI or has period two (i.e., is a chess-board SGM).
