Gauge gravity vacuum in constraintless Clairaut-type formalism

The gauged Lorentz theory with torsion has been argued to have an effective theory whose non-trivial background is responsible for background gravitational curvature if torsion is treated as a quantum-mechanical variable against a background of constant curvature. We use the CDG decomposition to argue that such a background can be found without including torsion. Adapting our previously published Clairaut-based treatment of QCD, we go on to study the implications for second quantisation.

Obscure qubits and membership amplitudes

We propose a concept of quantum computing which incorporates an additional kind of uncertainty, i.e. vagueness (fuzziness), in a natural way by introducing new entities, obscure qudits (e.g. obscure qubits), which are characterized simultaneously by a quantum probability and by a membership function. To achieve this, a membership amplitude for quantum states is introduced alongside the quantum amplitude. The Born rule is used for the quantum probability only, while the membership function can be computed from the membership amplitudes according to a chosen model. Two different versions of this approach are given here: the "product" obscure qubit, where the resulting amplitude is a product of the quantum amplitude and the membership amplitude, and the "Kronecker" obscure qubit, where quantum and vagueness computations are to be performed independently (i.e. quantum computation alongside truth evaluation). The latter is called a double obscure-quantum computation. In this case, the measurement becomes mixed in the quantum and obscure amplitudes, while the density matrix is not idempotent. The obscure-quantum gates act not in the tensor product of spaces, but in the direct product of quantum Hilbert space and so called membership space which are of different natures and properties. The concept of double (obscure-quantum) entanglement is introduced, and vector and scalar concurrences are proposed, with some examples being given.

Polyadic analog of Grothendieck group

We generalize the Grothendieck construction of the completion group for a monoid (being the starting point of the algebraic $K$-theory) to the polyadic case, when an initial semigroup is $m$-ary and the corresponding final class group $K_{0}$ can be $n$-ary. As opposed to the binary case: 1) there can be different polyadic direct products which can be built from one polyadic semigroup; 2) the final arity $n$ of the class groups can be different from the arity $m$ of initial semigroup; 3) commutative initial $m$-ary semigroups can lead to noncommutative class $n$-ary groups; 4) the identity is not necessary for initial $m$-ary semigroup to obtain the class $n$-ary group, which in its turn can contain no identity at all. The presented numerical examples show that the properties of the polyadic completion groups are considerably nontrivial and have more complicated structure than in the binary case.

Polyadic analogs of direct product

We propose a generalization of the external direct product concept to polyadic algebraic structures which introduces novel properties in two ways: the arity of the product can differ from that of the constituents, and the elements from different multipliers can be \textquotedblleft entangled\textquotedblright\ such that the product is no longer componentwise. The main property which we want to preserve is associativity, which is gained by using the associativity quiver technique provided earlier. For polyadic semigroups and groups we introduce two external products: 1) the iterated direct product which is componentwise, but can have arity different from the multipliers; 2) the hetero product (power) which is noncomponentwise and constructed by analogy with the heteromorphism concept introduced earlier. It is shown in which cases the product of polyadic groups can itself be a polyadic group. In the same way the external product of polyadic rings and fields is generalized. The most exotic case is the external product of polyadic fields, which can be a polyadic field (as opposed to the binary fields), when all multipliers are zeroless fields. Many illustrative concrete examples are presented.

Double-Graded Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics

A quantum mechanical model that realizes the $ \mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathbb{Z}_2$-graded generalization of the one-dimensional supertranslation algebra is proposed. This model shares some features with the well-known Witten model and is related to parasupersymmetric quantum mechanics, though the model is not directly equivalent to either of these. The purpose of this paper is to show that novel "higher gradings" are possible in the context of non-relativistic quantum mechanics.

On Lagrangian and non-Lagrangian conformal-invariant nonlinear electrodynamics

A general approach is presented to describing nonlinear classical Maxwell electrodynamics with conformal symmetry. We introduce generalized nonlinear constitutive equations, expressed in terms of constitutive tensors dependent on conformal-invariant functionals of the field strengths. This allows a characterization of Lagrangian and non-Lagrangian theories. We obtain a general formula for possible Lagrangian densities in nonlinear conformal-invariant electrodynamics. This generalizes the standard Lagrangian of classical linear electrodynamics so as to preserve the conformal symmetry.

Cho-Duan-Ge decomposition of QCD in the constraintless Clairaut-type formalism

We apply the recently derived constraintless Clairaut-type formalism to the Cho-Duan-Ge decomposition in SU(2) QCD. We find nontrivial corrections to the physical equations of motion and that the contribution of the topological degrees of freedom is qualitatively different from that found by treating the monopole potential as though it were dynamic. We also find alterations to the field commutation relations that undermine the particle interpretation in the presence of the chromomonopole condensate.

A "q-deformed" generalization of the Hosszu-Gluskin theorem

In this paper a new form of the Hosszú-Gluskin theorem is presented in terms of polyadic powers and using the language of diagrams. It is shown that the Hosszú-Gluskin chain formula is not unique and can be generalized ("deformed") using a parameter q which takes special integer values. A version of the "q-deformed" analog of the Hosszú-Gluskin theorem in the form of an invariance is formulated, and some examples are considered. The "q-deformed" homomorphism theorem is also given.

Conformal inversion and Maxwell field invariants in four- and six-dimensional spacetimes

Conformally compactified (3+1)-dimensional Minkowski spacetime may be identified with the projective light cone in (4+2)-dimensional spacetime. In the latter spacetime the special conformal group acts via rotations and boosts, and conformal inversion acts via reflection in a single coordinate. Hexaspherical coordinates facilitate dimensional reduction of Maxwell electromagnetic field strength tensors to (3+1) from (4 + 2) dimensions. Here we focus on the operation of conformal inversion in different coordinatizations, and write some useful equations. We then write a conformal invariant and a pseudo-invariant in terms of field strengths; the pseudo-invariant in (4+2) dimensions takes a new form. Our results advance the study of general nonlinear conformal-invariant electrodynamics based on nonlinear constitutive equations.

Formulation of singular theories in a partial Hamiltonian formalism using a new bracket and multi-time dynamics

A formulation of singular classical theories (determined by degenerate Lagrangians) without constraints is presented. A partial Hamiltonian formalism in the phase space having an initially arbitrary number of momenta (which can be smaller than the number of velocities) is proposed. The equations of motion become first-order differential equations, and they coincide with those of multi-time dynamics, if a certain condition is imposed. In a singular theory, this condition is fulfilled in the case of the coincidence of the number of generalized momenta with the rank of the Hessian matrix. The noncanonical generalized velocities satisfy a system of linear algebraic equations, which allows an appropriate classification of singular theories (gauge and nongauge). A new antisymmetric bracket (similar to the Poisson bracket) is introduced, which describes the time evolution of physical quantities in a singular theory. The origin of constraints is shown to be a consequence of the (unneeded in our formulation) extension of the phase space. In this case the new bracket transforms into the Dirac bracket. Quantization is briefly discussed.

Generalized duality, Hamiltonian formalism and new brackets

It is shown that any singular Lagrangian theory: 1) can be formulated without the use of constraints by introducing a Clairaut-type version of the Hamiltonian formalism; 2) leads to a special kind of nonabelian gauge theory which is similar to the Poisson gauge theory; 3) can be treated as the many-time classical dynamics. A generalization of the Legendre transform to the zero Hessian case is done by using the mixed (envelope/general) solution of the multidimensional Clairaut equation. The corresponding system of motion equations is equivalent to the Lagrange equations and has a linear algebraic subsystem for "unresolved" velocities. Then the equations of motion are written in the Hamilton-like form by introducing new antisymmetric brackets. This is a "shortened" formalism, since it does not contain the "nondynamical" (degenerate) momenta at all, and therefore there is no notion of constraint. It is outlined that any classical degenerate Lagrangian theory (in its Clairaut-type Hamiltonian form) is equivalent to the many-time classical dynamics. Finally, the relation between the presented formalism and the Dirac approach to constrained systems is given.

Partial Hamiltonian formalism, multi-time dynamics and singular theories

We formulate singular classical theories without involving constraints. Applying the action principle for the action (27) we develop a partial (in the sense that not all velocities are transformed to momenta) Hamiltonian formalism in the initially reduced phase space (with the canonical coordinates $q_{i},p_{i}$, where the number $n_{p}$ of momenta $p_{i}$, $i=1,\...,n_{p}$ (17) is arbitrary $n_{p}\leq n$, where $n$ is the dimension of the configuration space), in terms of the partial Hamiltonian $H_{0}$ (18) and $(n-n_{p})$ additional Hamiltonians $H_α$, $α=n_{p}+1,\...,n$ (20). We obtain $(n-n_{p}+1)$ Hamilton-Jacobi equations (25)-(26). The equations of motion are first order differential equations (33)-(34) with respect to $q_{i},p_{i}$ and second order differential equations (35) for $q_α$. If $H_{0}$, $H_α$ do not depend on $\dot{q}_α$ (42), then the second order differential equations (35) become algebraic equations (43) with respect to $\dot{q}_α$. We interpret $q_α$ as additional times by (45), and arrive at a multi-time dynamics. The above independence is satisfied in singular theories and $r_{W}\leq n_{p}$ (58), where $r_{W}$ is the Hessian rank. If $n_{p}=r_{W}$, then there are no constraints. A classification of the singular theories is given by analyzing system (62) in terms of $F_{αβ}$ (63). If its rank is full, then we can solve the system (62); if not, some of $\dot{q}_α$ remain arbitrary (sign of a gauge theory). We define new antisymmetric brackets (69) and (80) and present the equations of motion in the Hamilton-like form, (67)-(68) and (81)-(82) respectively. The origin of the Dirac constraints in our framework is shown: if we define extra momenta $p_α$ by (86), then we obtain the standard primary constraints (87), and the new brackets transform to the Dirac bracket. Quantization is discussed.

A new Hamiltonian formalism for singular Lagrangian theories

We introduce a version of the Hamiltonian formalism based on the Clairaut equation theory, which allows us a self-consistent description of systems with degenerate (or singular) Lagrangian. A generalization of the Legendre transform to the case, when the Hessian is zero is done using the mixed (envelope/general) solutions of the multidimensional Clairaut equation. The corresponding system of equations of motion is equivalent to the initial Lagrange equations, but contains "nondynamical" momenta and unresolved velocities. This system is reduced to the physical phase space and presented in the Hamiltonian form by introducing a new (non-Lie) bracket.

Irrational Uq(sl2)-symmetries on the quantum plane

The main result of this work is to present the complete list of Uq(sl2)-symmetries of quantum plane. For that, the structure of quantum plane automorphisms is used. Our idea in classifying the above symmetries is in introducing some special symbolic matrices to label the series of actions in question. The matrices depict which generators of Uq(sl2) produce nonzero images by acting on the generators of quantum plane. This data determines the weights of an action unambiguously. It turns out that there are uncountably many isomorphism classes of the symmetries. Another result is in describing composition series of the corresponding representations. The classical limit of the above symmetries is given.

Quantum enveloping algebras with von Neumann regular Cartan-like generators and the Pierce decomposition

Quantum bialgebras derivable from Uq(sl2) which contain idempotents and von Neumann regular Cartan-like generators are introduced and investigated. Various types of antipodes (invertible and von Neumann regular) on these bialgebras are constructed, which leads to a Hopf algebra structure and a von Neumann-Hopf algebra structure, respectively. For them, explicit forms of some particular R-matrices (also, invertible and von Neumann regular) are presented, and the latter respects the Pierce decomposition.

Coincidence limit and generalized interaction term structure in multigravity

Generalized structure of the interaction term of multigravity is analyzed in detail. The coincidence limit of any multigravity theory is defined and the compatibility equation for the interaction potential is derived which is studied in the weak perturbation limit of metric. The most general properties of the invariant volume and the scalar potential of multigravity are investigated. The general formula for multigravity invariant volume using three means (arithmetic, geometric and harmonic) is derived. The Pauli-Fierz mass term for bigravity in the weak field limit is obtained.

Noninvertibility and ``Semi-'' Analogs of (Super) Manifolds, Fiber Bundles and Homotopies

Supersymmetry contains initially noninvertible objects, but it is common to deal with the invertible ones only, factorizing former in some extent. We propose to reconsider this ansatz and try to redefine such fundamental notions as supermanifolds, fiber bundles and homotopies using some weakening invertibility conditions. The prefix semi- reflects the fact that the underlying morphisms form corresponding semigroups consisting of a known group part and a new ideal noninvertible part. We found that the absence of invertibility gives us the generalization of the cocycle conditions for transition functions of supermanifolds and fiber bundles in a natural way, which can lead to construction of noninvertible analogs of Čech cocycles. We define semi-homotopies, which can be noninvertible and describe mappings into the semi-supermanifolds introduced.
