A duality approach to gradient Hölder estimates for linear divergence form elliptic equations

We prove a sparse bound in the context of Schauder theory for divergence form elliptic partial differential equations. In addition, we show how an iteration argument inspired by sparse domination bounds can be used to deduce gradient reverse Hölder inequalities for equations with non-constant coefficients from the theory for constant coefficient equations. We deal with coefficient matrices whose entries are either Hölder continuous or just uniformly continuous, leading to different results. The purpose of the approach is to highlight the connection between Schauder theory and duality of local Hardy spaces and local Hölder spaces.

Uniform bounds for bilinear symbols with linear K-quasiconformally embedded singularity

We prove bounds in the strict local $L^{2}(\mathbb{R}^{d})$ range for trilinear Fourier multiplier forms with a $d$-dimensional singular subspace. Given a fixed parameter $K \ge 1$, we treat multipliers with non-degenerate singularity that are push-forwards by $K$-quasiconformal matrices of suitable symbols. As particular applications, our result recovers the uniform bounds for the one-dimensional bilinear Hilbert transforms in the strict local $L^{2}$ range, and it implies the uniform bounds for two-dimensional bilinear Beurling transforms, which are new, in the same range.

Weak differentiability for fractional maximal functions of general $L^{p}$ functions on domains

Let $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^{n}$ be bounded a domain. We prove under certain structural assumptions that the fractional maximal operator relative to $Ω$ maps $L^{p}(Ω) \to W^{1,p}(Ω)$ for all $p > 1$, when the smoothness index $α\geq 1$. In particular, the results are valid in the range $p \in (1, n/(n-1)]$ that was previously unknown. As an application, we prove an endpoint regularity result in the domain setting.

Parabolic BMO and the forward-in-time maximal operator

We study if the parabolic forward-in-time maximal operator is bounded on parabolic BMO. It turns out that for non-negative functions the answer is positive, but the behaviour of sign changing functions is more delicate. The class parabolic BMO and the forward-in-time maximal operator originate from the regularity theory of nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations. In addition to that context, we also study the question in dimension one.

Parabolic weighted norm inequalities and partial differential equations

We investigate parabolic Muckenhoupt weights and functions of bounded mean oscillation (BMO) related to nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations. The main result gives a full characterization of weak and strong type weighted norm inequalities for parabolic forward in time maximal operators. In addition, we give a Jones type factorization result for the parabolic Muckenhoupt weights and a Coifman-Rochberg type characterization of the parabolic BMO from Moser's seminal paper through parabolic Muckenhoupt weights and maximal functions.

Characterizations of interior polar sets for the degenerate p-parabolic equation

This paper deals with different characterizations of sets of nonlinear parabolic capacity zero, with respect to the parabolic p-Laplace equation. Specifically we prove that certain interior polar sets can be characterized by sets of zero nonlinear parabolic capacity. Furthermore we prove that zero capacity sets are removable for bounded supersolutions and that sets of zero capacity have a relation to a certain parabolic Hausdorff measure.

Parabolic BMO and global integrability of supersolutions to doubly nonlinear parabolic equations

We prove that local and global parabolic BMO spaces are equal thus extending the classical result of Reimann and Rychener. Moreover, we show that functions in parabolic BMO are exponentially integrable in a general class of space-time cylinders. As a corollary, we establish global integrability for positive supersolutions to a wide class of doubly nonlinear parabolic equations.
