Reconstruction of the quintessence dark energy potential from a Gaussian process

The quintessence dark energy potential is reconstructed in a model-independent way. Reconstruction relies on a Gaussian process and on available expansion-rate data. Specifically, 40-point values of $H(z)$ are used, consisting of a 30-point sample deduced from a differential age method and an additional 10-point sample obtained from the radial BAO method. Results are obtained for two kernel functions and for three different values of $H_{0}$. They shed light on the $H_{0}$ tension problem for a universe described with quintessence dark energy. They are also a clear indication that the tension has to do with the physical understanding of the issue, rather than being just a numerical problem with statistics. Moreover, the model-independent reconstruction of the potential here obtained can serve as a reference to constraint available models and it can be also used as a reference frame to construct new ones. Various possibilities, including $V(ϕ) \sim e^{-λϕ}$, are compared with the reconstructions here obtained, which is notably the first truly model independent reconstruction of the quintessence dark energy potential. This allows to select new models that can be interesting for cosmology. The method can be extended to reconstruct the potential of related dark energy models, to be considered in future work.

Constraints on Cosmic Opacity from Bayesian Machine Learning: The hidden side of the $H_{0}$ tension problem

Bayesian (Probabilistic) Machine Learning is used to probe the opacity of the Universe. It relies on a generative process where the model is the key object to generate the data involving the unknown parameters of the model, our prior beliefs, and allows us to get the posterior results. The constraints on the cosmic opacity are determined for two flat models, $Λ$CDM and XCDM (this having $ω_{de} \neq -1$), for three redshift ranges, $z\in[0,2.5]$, $z \in[0,5]$, and $z\in[0,10]$, in each case. This is to understand how the constraints on the cosmic opacity could change in the very deep Universe, and also to check to what extent there is a redshift-range dependence. The following forms for the opacity, $τ(z) = 2εz$ and $τ(z) = (1+z)^{2ε} -1$, corresponding to an observer at $z=0$ and a source at $z$, are considered. The results of our analysis show that the Universe is not fully transparent, and this may have a significant impact on the $H_{0}$ tension problem. In the generative process, the fact that, owing to cosmic opacity, the flux received by the observer is reduced has been taken into account. In the analysis, the luminosity distance associated with the cosmological model has been employed.

Model-independent reconstruction of $f(T)$ gravity from Gaussian Processes

We apply Gaussian processes and Hubble function data in $f(T)$ cosmology, to reconstruct for the first time the $f(T)$ form in a model-independent way. In particular, using $H(z)$ datasets coming from cosmic chronometers as well as from the radial BAO method, alongside the latest released local value $H_{0} = 73.52 \pm 1.62$ km/s/Mpc, we reconstruct $H(z)$ and its derivatives, resulting eventually in a reconstructed region for $f(T)$, without any assumption. Although the cosmological constant lies in the central part of the reconstructed region, the obtained mean curve follows a quadratic function. Inspired by this we propose a new $f(T)$ parametrization, i.e. $f(T) = -2Λ+ξT^2$, with $ξ$ the sole free parameter that quantifies the deviation from $Λ$CDM cosmology. Additionally, we confront three viable one-parameter $f(T)$ models of the literature, which respectively are the power-law, the square-root exponential, and the exponential one, with the reconstructed $f(T)$ region, and then we extract significantly improved constraints for their model parameters, comparing to the constraints that arise from usual observational analysis. Finally, we argue that since we are using the direct Hubble measurements and the local value for $H_0$ in our analysis, with the above reconstruction of $f(T)$, the $H_0$ tension can be efficiently alleviated.

Phase space analysis and singularity classification for linearly interacting dark energy models

In this paper, applying the Hartman-Grobman theorem we carry out a qualitative late-time analysis of some unified dark energy-matter Friedmann cosmological models, where the two interact through linear energy exchanges, and the dark energy fluid obeys to the dynamical equation of state of Redlich-Kwong, Modified Berthelot, and Dieterici respectively. The identification of appropriate late-time attractors allows to restrict the range of validity of the free parameters of the models under investigation. In particular, we prove that the late-time attractors which support a negative deceleration parameter correspond to a de Sitter universe. We show that the strength of deviation from an ideal fluid for the dark energy does not influence the stability of the late-time attractors, as well as the values of all the cosmological parameters at equilibrium, but for the Hubble function (which represents the age of the universe). Our analysis also shows that a singularity in the effective equation of state parameter for the dark energy fluid is not possible within this class of models.

Scrutinizing Various Phenomenological Interactions In The Context Of Holographic Ricci Dark Energy Models

In this paper, we examine two types of interacting holographic dark energy model using Pantheon supernova data, BAO BOSS DR12, CMB Planck 2015, fgas (gas mass fraction) and SZ/Xray (Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect and X-ray emission) data from galaxy clusters (GC). In particular, we considered the Holographic Ricci dark energy and Extended holographic Ricci dark energy models. During this analysis we considered seven type of phenomenological interaction terms (three linear and four non-linear) $Q_1=3Hbρ_{D}$, $Q_2=3Hbρ_{m}$, $Q_3=3Hb\left(ρ_{D}+ρ_m\right)$, $Q_4=3Hb\left(ρ_{D}+\frac{ρ_{D}^2}{ρ_{D}+ρ_m}\right)$, $Q_5=3Hb\left(ρ_{m}+\frac{ρ_{m}^2}{ρ_{D}+ρ_m}\right)$, $Q_6=3Hb\left(ρ_{D}+ρ_{m}+\frac{ρ_{D}^2}{ρ_{D}+ρ_m}\right)$, $Q_7=3Hb\left(ρ_{D}+ρ_{m}+\frac{ρ_{m}^2}{ρ_{D}+ρ_m}\right)$ respectively. To find the best model we apply Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) and use the $Λ$CDM as the referring model for comparison. Using AIC and BIC models selection method we note that the $Q_1$ and $Q_4$ interaction terms are favored by observational data within the context of the holographic Ricci dark energy models. The obtained results also demonstrated that the considered types of holographic Ricci dark energy model are not favored by observational data since the $Λ$CDM is considered as the reference model. We also observed that the values of the deceleration parameter and the transition redshift for all models are compatible with the latest observational data and Planck 2015. In addition, we studied the jerk parameter for all models. Using our modified CAMB code, we observed that the interacting models suppress the CMB spectrum at low multi-poles and enhances the acoustic peaks.

Some non linear interactions in polytropic gas cosmology: Phase space analysis

There are various cosmological models with polytropic equation of state associated to dark energy. Polytropic EoS has important applications in astrophysics, therefore a study of it on cosmological framework continues to be interesting. From the other hand, there are various forms of interactions phenomenologically involved into the darkness of the universe able to solve important cosmological problems. This is a motivation for us to perform a phase space analysis of various cosmological scenarios where non linear interacting polytropic gas models are involved. Dark matter is taken to be a pressureless fluid.

Interacting extended Chaplygin gas cosmology in Lyra Manifold

The subject of our interest is an extended Chaplygin gas cosmology. In Literature a variety of cosmological models exist studying the behavior of the universe in the presence of the Chaplygin gas. From its initial form Chaplygin gas evolved and accepted different EoS-s and we will work with one of them. The main purpose of this work is to study behavior of the universe in Lyra Manifold with a varying Effective $Λ$-Term, which gives us modified field equations. We are also interested in the behavior of the universe in the case of an existing coupling between the quintessence DE and extended Chaplygin gas. We applied observational constraints and causality issue on our model to separate physically relevant behavior of the phenomenological model.

Interacting varying Ghost Dark energy models in General Relativity

Motivated by recent developments in Cosmology we would like to consider an extension of the Ghost DE which we will call as varying Ghost DE. Ghost DE like other models was introduced recently as a possible way to explain accelerated expansion of the Universe. For the phenomenological origin of the varying Ghost dark energy in our Universe we can suggest an existence of some unknown dynamics between the Ghost Dark energy and a fluid which evaporated completely making sense of the proposed effect. Moreover, we assume that this was in the epochs and scales which are unreachable by nowadays experiments, like in very early Universe. In this study we will investigate the model for cosmological validity. We will apply observational and causality constraints to illuminate physically correct behavior of the model from the phenomenological one. We saw that an interaction between the varying Ghost DE and cold DM~(CDM) also provides a solution to the cosmological coincidence problem. And we found that the Ghost DE behaves as a matter like fluid in early Universe.

New holographic reconstruction of scalar field dark energy models in the framework of chameleon Brans-Dicke cosmology

Motivated by the work of Yang et al., \emph{Mod. Phys. Lett. A}, \textbf{26}, 191 (2011), we report a study on the New Holographic Dark Energy (NHDE) model with energy density given by $ρ_D=\frac{3ϕ^2}{4ω}(μH^2+ν\dot{H})$ in the framework of chameleon Brans-Dicke cosmology. We have studied a correspondence between the quintessence, the DBI-essence and the tachyon scalar field models with the NHDE model in the framework of chameleon Brans-Dicke cosmology. Deriving an expression of the Hubble parameter $H$ and, accordingly, $ρ_D$ in the context of chameleon Brans-Dicke chameleon cosmology, we have reconstructed the potentials and dynamics for these scalar field models. Furthermore, we have examined the stability for the obtained solutions of the crossing of the phantom divide under a quantum correction of massless conformally-invariant fields and we have seen that quantum correction could be small when the phantom crossing occurs and the obtained solutions of the phantom crossing could be stable under the quantum correction. It has also been noted that the potential increases as the matter-chameleon coupling gets stronger with the evolution of the universe.

Power Law and Logarithmic Ricci Dark Energy Models in Horava-Lifshitz Cosmology

In this work, we studied the Power Law and the Logarithmic Entropy Corrected versions of the Ricci Dark Energy (RDE) model in a spatially non-flat universe and in the framework of Hořava-Lifshitz cosmology. For the two cases containing non-interacting and interacting RDE and Dark Matter (DM), we obtained the exact differential equation that determines the evolutionary form of the RDE energy density parameter. Moreover, we obtained the expressions of the deceleration parameter $q$ and, using a parametrization of the equation of state (EoS) parameter $ω_D$ as $ω_D\left(z\right)=ω_0+ω_1 z$, we derived the expressions of both $ω_0$ and $ω_1$. We interestingly found that the expression of $ω_0$ is the same for both non-interacting and interacting case. The expression of $ω_1$ for the interacting case has strong dependence from the interacting parameter $b^2$. The parameters derived in this work are done in small redshift approximation and for low redshift expansion of the EoS parameter.

Toy models of Universe with an Effective varying $Λ$-Term in Lyra Manifold

We are interested by the study of several toy models of the Universe in presence of interacting quintessence DE models. Models are considered in the cosmology with an Effective varying $Λ$-Term in Lyra Manifold. The motivation of the phenomenological models discussed in this paper is to obtain corresponding models to describe and understand an accelerated expansion of the Universe for the later stage of evolution. Phenomenology of the models describes by the phenomenological forms of $Λ(t)$ ($8 πG =c =1$). Concerning to the mathematical hardness we discuss results numerically and graphically. Obtained results give us hope that proposed models can work as good models for old Universe and in good agreement with observational data.

A Dark Energy Model interacting with Dark Matter described by an effective EoS

In this latter author would like to consider interaction between a dark energy based on Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP) and a Dark Matter described by effective EoS: $P = (γ-1)ρ+p_{0}+ω_{H}H+ω_{H2}H^{2}+ω_{dH}\dot{H}$ [1]-[3], which could be interpreted as a modification concerning to the some interaction between fluid $P=(γ-1)ρ$ with different components of the Darkness of the Universe. Two types of interaction, called sign-changeable, $Q=q(3Hbρ_{m}+β\dotρ_{m})$ [4],[5] and $Q=3Hbρ_{m}+β\dotρ_{m}$ are considered. EoS parameter of the mixture $ω_{tot}$ are investigated. Statefinder diagnostics provided also.

A Matter with an effective EoS interacting with a tachynic field in an accelerating Universe

We consider a fluid described by a parameterized EoS of the general form $P=(γ-1)ρ+p_{0}+ω_{H}H+ω_{H2}H^{2}+ω_{dH}\dot{H}$ \cite{Ren}, where $p_{0}$, $ω_{H}$, $ω_{H2}$ and $ω_{dH}$ are free parameters of the model, interacting with a Tachyonic field with a relativistic Lagrangian $L_{TF}=-V(ϕ)\sqrt{1-\partial_{i}ϕ\partial^{i}ϕ}$. The acceleration of the Universe described by a scale factor $a(t)=t^{n}, (n>1)$. Under consideration of different forms of interaction the field $ϕ$ and the potential $V(ϕ)$ are recovered and graphical analysis performed. For illustration purposes we fixed values of parameters of the models to provide $V \rightarrow 0$ for later stages of evolution, when $t \rightarrow \infty$.

Interaction between Generalized Varying Chaplygin gas and Tachyonic Fluid

We consider a mixture of varying Generalized Chaplyagin gas [1] interacting with a Tachyonic fluid in framework of GR. We suppose, that a Tachyonic fluid and Generalized Chaplyagin gas was separated somehow from Darkness of the Universe. Remaining darkness will be described by $ω_{X}$ and we will have not any other information. We also suppose, that varying Generalized Chaplyagin gas under consideration was appeared due to interaction between remaining Darkness and Generalized Chaplyagin gas. At the same time we assume, that our Tachonic fluid does not fell remaining Darkness. In this letter we investigate graphically the potential $V(ϕ)$ of the Tachyonic fluid and $ω_{\small{tot}}$ of the mixture. Interaction between components taken to be sign-changeable, occurring thanks to imposing of deceleration parameter into expression of interaction term [2],[3].

Exactly solvable mixed-spin Ising-Heisenberg diamond chain with the biquadratic interactions and single-ion anisotropy

An exactly solvable variant of mixed spin-(1/2,1) Ising-Heisenberg diamond chain is considered. Vertical spin-1 dimers are taken as quantum ones with Heisenberg bilinear and biquadratic interactions and with single-ion anisotropy, while all interactions between spin-1 and spin-1/2 residing on the intermediate sites are taken in the Ising form. The detailed analysis of the $T=0$ ground state phase diagram is presented. The phase diagrams have shown to be rather rich, demonstrating large variety of ground states: saturated one, three ferrimagnetic with magnetization equal to 3/5 and another four ferrimagnetic ground states with magnetization equal to 1/5. There are also two frustrated macroscopically degenerated ground states which could exist at zero magnetic filed. Solving the model exactly within classical transfer-matrix formalism we obtain an exact expressions for all thermodynamic function of the system. The thermodynamic properties of the model have been described exactly by exact calculation of partition function within the direct classical transfer-matrix formalism, the entries of transfer matrix, in their turn, contain the information about quantum states of vertical spin-1 XXZ dimer (eigenvalues of local hamiltonian for vertical link).
