Exploring Hybrid Star Models with Quark and Hadronic Matter in $f(Q)$ Gravity

In this paper, we develop a model for a static anisotropic hybrid star that includes strange quark matter and hadronic matter. We solve the field equations in the $f(Q)$ gravity framework (where $Q$ is the non-metricity) using the Finch-Skea metric. The relationship between density and pressure for strange quark matter is described using the MIT bag model equation, while for hadronic matter, the radial pressure and density are related by a linear equation of state. We select the compact star EXO 1785-248 and analyze five different values of the coupling constant. To evaluate the physical feasibility of the model, we perform a graphical analysis of key properties, including the metric components, energy density, radial and tangential pressures, anisotropy, gradients, quark matter density and pressure, the equation of state parameter, energy conditions and the mass function. We further examine the stability and equilibrium of the star through parameters such as compactness, redshift, causality conditions, Herrera cracking, the adiabatic index and the Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equation. We observe that $f(Q)$ gravity effectively describes the macroscopic properties of hybrid stars.

Electromagnetic Effects on the Complexity of Static Cylindrical Object in $f(G,T)$ Gravity

In this paper, we investigate complexity of anisotropic cylindrical object under the influence of electromagnetic field in $f(G,T)$ theory, where $G$ and $T$ indicate the Gauss-Bonnet term and trace of the stress-energy tensor, respectively. For this purpose, we calculate the modified field equations, non-conservation equation and mass distributions that assist in comprehending the structure of astrophysical objects. The Riemann tensor is divided into different structure scalars, among which one is called the complexity factor. This factor is used to measure complexity of the system due to the involvement of inhomogeneous energy density, anisotropic pressure and charge. The vanishing of the complexity factor is employed as a constraint to formulate charged static solutions for the Gokhroo-Mehra model and polytropic equation of state. We conclude that the presence of charge reduces the complexity of the anisotropic system.

Anisotropic Tolman V Solutions by Decoupling Approach in $f(R,T^{2})$ Gravity

This paper investigates the behavior of anisotropic static spheres that are constructed by employing a minimal geometric deformation in the framework of $f(R,T^{2})$ gravity ($T^{2}=T_{ζν}T^{ζν}$, $R$ is the Ricci scalar and $T_{ζν}$ is the energy-momentum tensor). We consider a spherical setup with two sources: seed and additional. It is assumed that the seed source is isotropic whereas the new source is responsible for inducing anisotropy. We deform the $g_{rr}$ component to split the field equations into two sets. The first array corresponds to the isotropic solution whereas the second set contains the effect of the anisotropic source. The system related to isotropic source is determined by the metric potentials of Tolman V solution while three solutions of the second set are constructed corresponding to three different constraints. The physical acceptability of all solutions is checked through energy conditions by employing the radius and mass of PSR J1614-2230 star. We also examine the stability, mass, compactness and redshift of the obtained solutions. We conclude that first two solutions satisfy the viability and stability criteria only for small values of the decoupling parameter while third solution is stable for its all possible values.

Complexity Analysis of Charged Dynamical Dissipative Cylindrical Structure in Modified Gravity

This article focuses on the formulation of some scalar factors which are uniquely expressed in terms of matter variables for dynamical charged dissipative cylindrical geometry in a standard gravity model $\mathcal{R}+Φ\mathcal{Q}$ ($Φ$ is the coupling parameter, $\mathcal{Q}=\mathcal{R}_{φ\vartheta}\mathcal{T}^{φ\vartheta}$) and calculates four scalars by orthogonally decomposing the Riemann tensor. We find that only $\mathcal{Y}_{TF}$ involves inhomogeneous energy density, heat flux, charge and pressure anisotropy coupled with modified corrections, and thus call it as complexity factor for the considered distribution. Two evolutionary modes are discussed to study the dynamics of cylinder. We then take the homologous condition with $\mathcal{Y}_{TF}=0$ to calculate unknown metric potentials in the absence as well as presence of heat dissipation. The stability criterion of the later condition is also checked throughout the evolution by applying some constraints. We conclude that the effects of charge and modified theory yield more complex system.

Greybody Factor for a Static Spherically Symmetric Black Hole With Non-Linear Electrodynamics

In this paper, we study the greybody factor for static spherically symmetric black hole with non-linear electrodynamics. For this purpose, we assume minimal coupling of the scalar field and find the radial equation by using the Klein-Gordon equation. We then apply tortoise coordinate to convert this equation into Schrodinger wave equation which helps to find the effective potential. The behavior of effective potential is checked for different values of the coupling and charge parameters. We find two solutions in two horizons named as event and cosmological horizons by using the radial equation. We consider the intermediate regime and match these two solutions to obtain the greybody factor and examine its behavior graphically. It is found that the greybody factor has an inverse relation with the coupling constant, mass, charge as well as the radius of the black hole and has a direct relation with angular momentum.

Impact of Charge on Gravastars in $f(\mathfrak{R},\mathcal{T}^{2})$ Gravity

This paper studies the influence of charge on a compact stellar structure also regarded as vacuum condensate star in the background of $f(\mathfrak{R},\mathcal{T}^{2})$ gravity. This object is considered the alternate of black hole whose structure involves three distinct regions, i.e., interior, exterior and thin-shell. We analyze these domains of a gravastar for a particular model of this modified theory. In the inner region of a gravastar, the considered equation of state defines that energy density is equal to negative pressure which is the cause of repulsive force on the spherical shell. In the intermediate shell, pressure and energy density are equal and contain ultra-relativistic fluid. The inward-directed gravitational pull of thin-shell counterbalance the force exerted by the inner region of a gravastar allowing the formation of a singularity-free object. The Reissner-Nordstrom metric presents the outer vacuum spherical domain. Moreover, we discuss the impact of the charge on physical attributes of a gravastar such as the equation of state parameter, entropy, proper length and energy. We conclude that singularity-free solutions of charged gravastar are physically consistent in this modified theory.

Impact of Charge on the Complexity of Static Sphere in $f(R,\textbf{T}^{2})$ Gravity

This paper investigates the complexity of a charged static sphere filled with anisotropic matter in the background of energy-momentum squared gravity. For this purpose, we evaluate the modified field and conservation equations to determine the structure of celestial system. The mass function is calculated through Misner-Sharp as well as Tolman mass definitions. The complexity of a self-gravitating system depends on different factors such as anisotropic pressure, electromagnetic field, energy density inhomogeneity, etc. We formulate the structure scalars by the orthogonal decomposition of the Riemann tensor to develop a complexity factor containing all vital features of the stellar structure. The vanishing complexity condition is achieved by setting the complexity factor equal to zero. Finally, we construct two static solutions by utilizing the energy density of Gokhroo-Mehra solution as well as the polytropic equation of state along with the zero complexity condition. It is found that electromagnetic field decreases the complexity of stellar structure.

Isotropization and Complexity of Decoupled Solutions in Self-interacting Brans-Dicke Gravity

The aim of this work is to formulate two new solutions by decoupling the field equations via a minimal geometric deformation in the context of self-interacting Brans-Dicke gravity. We introduce an extra source in the anisotropic fluid distribution to generate new analogs of existing solutions. The radial metric function is transformed to decouple the field equations into two sets such that each array corresponds to one source only. The system corresponding to the original matter distribution is specified by metric functions of well-behaved solutions. On the other hand, the second set is closed by imposing constraints on the additional matter source. For this purpose, we have applied the isotropization condition as well as vanishing complexity condition on the new source. Smooth matching of interior and exterior spacetimes at the junction provides values of the unknown constants. Interesting physical features of corresponding models are checked by employing the mass and radius of the star PSR J1614-2230. It is concluded that both extensions yield viable and stable models for certain values of the decoupling parameter.

Stable Charged Gravastar Model in ${f}(\mathfrak{R},\textbf{T}^{2})$ Gravity with Conformal Motion

This paper investigates the influence of charge on physical features of gravastars in the framework of energy-momentum squared gravity. A gravastar is an alternate model to a black hole that comprises of three distinct regions, namely the intermediate shell, inner and outer sectors. Different values of the barotropic equation of state parameter provide the mathematical formulation for these regions. We construct the structure of a gravastar admitting conformal motion for a specific model of energy-momentum squared gravity. The field equations are formulated for a spherically symmetric spacetime with charged perfect matter distribution. For the smooth matching of external and internal spacetimes, we use Israel matching criteria. Various physical attributes of gravastars such as the equation of state parameter, proper length, entropy and energy are investigated (in the presence of charge) versus thickness of the shell. The charge in the inner core of gravastars preserves the state of equilibrium by counterbalancing the inward gravitational force. It is concluded that the non-singular solutions of charged gravastar are physically viable in the background of energy-momentum squared gravity.

Study of Anisotropic Polytropes in $f(\mathcal{R},\mathrm{T})$ Theory

This paper examines the general formalism and applications of isotropic as well as anisotropic polytropic stars in curvature-matter coupled gravity. For this purpose, we consider static spherical and Schwarzschild spacetimes in the interior and exterior regions, respectively. We use two polytropic equations of state to obtain physically viable solutions of the field equations. The hydrostatic equilibrium and Lane-Emden equations are developed for both isotropic as well as anisotropic cases. We study the effects of anisotropic pressure on the stellar structure. Moreover, we graphically inspect the physical behavior of isotropic as well as anisotropic polytropes through energy conditions and stability criterion. Finally, we discuss Tolman mass to explore some characteristics of the models. It is concluded that more viable and stable polytropes are found in this theory as compared to general relativity.

Complexity for Dynamical Anisotropic Sphere in f(G,T) Gravity

This paper is devoted to the formulation of a complexity factor for dynamical anisotropic sphere in the framework of $f(G,T)$ gravity, where $G$ is the Gauss-Bonnet invariant and $T$ is the trace of energy-momentum tensor. Inhomogeneous energy density, anisotropic pressure, heat dissipation and modified terms create complexity within the self-gravitating system. We evaluate the structure scalars by orthogonal splitting of the Riemann tensor to evaluate a complexity factor which incorporates all the fundamental properties of the system. Moreover, we examine the dynamics of the sphere by assuming homologous mode as the simplest pattern of evolution. We also discuss dissipative as well as non-dissipative scenarios corresponding to homologous and complexity free conditions. Finally, we establish a criterion under which the complexity free condition remains stable throughout the process of evolution. We conclude that the presence of dark source terms of $f(G,T)$ gravity increase the system's complexity.

Complexity of Dynamical Sphere in Self-interacting Brans-Dicke Gravity

This paper aims to derive a definition of complexity for a dynamic spherical system in the background of self-interacting Brans-Dicke gravity. We measure complexity of the structure in terms of inhomogeneous energy density, anisotropic pressure and massive scalar field. For this purpose, we formulate structure scalars by orthogonally splitting the Riemann tensor. We show that self-gravitating models collapsing homologously follow the simplest mode of evolution. Furthermore, we demonstrate the effect of scalar field on the complexity and evolution of non-dissipative as well as dissipative systems. The criteria under which the system deviates from the initial state of zero complexity is also discussed. It is concluded that complexity of the sphere increases in self-interacting Brans-Dicke gravity because the homologous model is not shear-free.

Effects of Non-linear Electrodynamics on Thermodynamics of Charged Black Hole

This paper investigates thermodynamics, quasi-normal modes, thermal fluctuations and phase transitions of Reissner-Nordström black hole with the effects of non-linear electrodynamics. We first compute the expressions for Hawking temperature, entropy and heat capacity of this black hole and then obtain a relation between Davies's point and quasi-normal modes with non-linear electrodynamics. We also observe the effects of logarithmic corrections on uncorrected thermodynamic quantities such as entropy, Hawking temperature, Helmholtz free energy, internal energy, Gibbs free energy, enthalpy and heat capacity. It is found that presence of non-linear electrodynamic parameter induces more instability in black holes of large radii. Finally, we analyze the phase transitions of Hawking temperature as well as heat capacity in terms of entropy for different values of charge ($q$), horizon radius ($r_{+}$) and coupling parameter ($α$). We obtain that Hawking temperature changes its phase from positive to negative for increasing values of $q$ and $r_{+}$ while it shows opposite trend for higher values of $α$. The heat capacity changes its phase from negative to positive for large values of charge, horizon radius and coupling parameter.

Greybody Factor for a Rotating Bardeen Black Hole by Perfect Fluid Dark Matter

In this paper, the greybody factor is studied analytically for a rotating regular Bardeen black hole surrounded by perfect fluid dark matter. Firstly, we examine the behavior of effective potential by using the radial equation of motion developed from the Klein-Gordon equation. We then consider tortoise coordinate to convert the radial equation into Schrödinger form equation. We solve the radial equation of motion and obtain two different asymptotic solutions in terms of hypergeometric function measured at distinct regimes so called near and far-field horizons. These solutions are smoothly matched over the whole radial coordinate in an intermediate regime to check their viability. Finally, we measure the absorption probability for massless scalar field and examine the effect of perfect fluid dark matter. It is concluded that both the effective potential and greybody factor increase with perfect fluid dark matter.

Noether Symmetry Approach in Energy-Momentum Squared Gravity

In this paper, we investigate the newly developed $f(R,\mathbf{T}^2)$ theory ($R$ is the Ricci scalar and $\mathbf{T}^2=T_{αβ}T^{αβ},~T _{αβ}$ demonstrates the energy-momentum tensor) to explore some viable cosmological models. For this purpose, we use the Noether symmetry approach in the context of flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) universe. We solve the Noether equations of this modified theory for two types of models and obtain the symmetry generators as well as corresponding conserved quantities. We also evaluate exact solutions and investigate their physical behavior via different cosmological parameters. For the prospective models, the graphical behavior of these parameters indicate consistency with recent observations representing accelerated expansion of the universe. In the first case, we take a special model of this theory and obtain new class of exact solutions with the help of conserved quantities. Secondly, we consider minimal and non-minimal coupling models of $f(R,\mathbf{T} ^{2})$ gravity. We conclude that conserved quantities are very useful to derive the exact solutions that are used to study the cosmic accelerated expansion.

Stability of $d$-dimensional Gravastars with Variable Equation of State

In this paper, we are interested to explore stable configurations of $d$-dimensional gravastars constructed from the interior $d$-dimensional de Sitter and exterior $d$-dimensional Schwarzschild/Reissner-Nordström (de Sitter) black holes through cut and paste approach. We consider the linearized radial perturbation preserving the original symmetries to explore their stability by using three different types of matter distributions. The resulting frameworks represent unstable structures for barotropic, Chaplygin, and phantomlike models for every considered choice of exterior geometries. However, matter contents with variable equations of state have a remarkable role to maintain the stability of gravastars. We conclude that stable structures of gravastars are obtained only for generalized variable models with exterior $d$-dimensional Schwarzschild/Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter black holes.

Stability of Charged Thin-Shell Gravastars with Quintessence

This paper develops a new solution of gravitational vacuum star in the background of charged Kiselev black holes as an exterior manifold. We explore physical features and stability of thin-shell gravastars with radial perturbation. The matter thin layer located at thin-shell greatly affects stable configuration of the developed structure. We assume three different choices of matter distribution such as barotropic, generalized Chaplygin gas and generalized phantomlike equation of state. The last two models depend on the shell radius, also known as variable equation of state. For barotropic model, the structure of thin-shell gravastar is mostly unstable while it shows stable configuration for such type of matter distribution with extraordinary quintessence parameter. The resulting gravastar structure indicates stable behavior for generalized Chaplygin gas but unstable for generalized phantomlike model. It is also found that proper length, entropy and energy within the shell show linear relation with thickness of the shell.

Anisotropic Spherical Solutions through Extended Gravitational Decoupling Approach

This paper is devoted to evaluating exact anisotropic spherical solutions for static self-gravitating systems through extended geometric deformation decoupling technique. For this purpose, we consider an isotropic Tolman IV solution and extend it to anisotropic domain by transforming both temporal as well as radial metric potentials. To examine the physical viability and stability of interior anisotropic solutions, we plot energy bounds, TOV equation, causality condition and adiabatic index for the stars Her X-I and PSR J 1416-2230. It is found that both obtained models show realistic behavior as they fulfill all physical constraints as well as stability criterion. We conclude that the extended gravitational decoupling approach provides more proficient results to discuss the interior configuration of stellar structures.

Anisotropic Strange Stars through Embedding Technique in Massive Brans-Dicke Gravity

This paper investigates the existence and properties of anisotropic strange quark stars in the context of massive Brans-Dicke theory. The field equations are constructed in Jordan frame by assuming a suitable potential function with MIT bag model. We employ the embedding class-one approach as well as junction conditions to determine the unknown metric functions. Radius of the strange star candidate, LMC X-4, is predicted through its observed mass for different values of the bag constant. We analyze the effects of coupling parameter as well as mass of scalar field on state determinants and execute multiple checks on the stability and viability of the spherical system. It is concluded that the resulting stellar structure is physically viable and stable as it satisfies the energy conditions as well as essential stability criteria.

Extended Gravitational Decoupled Solutions in Self-interacting Brans-Dicke Theory

In this paper, we construct anisotropic spherical solutions from known isotropic solutions through extended gravitational decoupling method in the background of self-interacting Brans-Dicke theory. The field equations are decoupled into two sets by applying geometric deformations on radial as well as temporal metric components. The first array corresponds to isotropic fluid while influence of the anisotropic source is confined to the second set. The isotropic sector is determined through metric functions of isotropic solutions (Tolman IV/Krori-Barua) whereas two constraints on the anisotropic source are required to close the second system. The impact of the massive scalar field as well as the decoupling parameter on the physical characteristics of the anisotropic solutions is analyzed graphically. We also check the viability, compactness, surface redshift and stability of the obtained solutions. It is found that the resulting solutions follow accepted physical trend for some values of the decoupling parameter.

Greybody Factor for Quintessential Kerr-Newman Black Hole

In this paper, we formulate an analytic expression of the greybody factor for the Kerr-Newman black hole in the presence of the quintessential field. Primarily, we analyze the profile of effective potential by transforming the radial equation of motion into standard Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger form through tortoise coordinate. The two asymptotic solutions, in the form of hypergeometric functions, are computed at distinct radial regions such as a black hole and cosmological horizons determined by the quintessence. To extend the viability over the whole radial regime, we match the analytical solutions smoothly in an intermediate region by using a semi-classical approach. We also calculate the emission rates and absorption cross-section for the massless scalar fields to elaborate on the significance of our result. It is found that the electromagnetic force together with the gravitational pull of the black hole maximizes the effective potential and consequently, decreases the emission process of scalar field particles.

Inhomogeneous Perturbations and Stability Analysis of the Einstein Static Universe in f(R,T) Gravity

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the existence of static stable Einstein universe using inhomogeneous linear perturbations in the context of $f(R,T)$ gravity ($R$ and $T$ denote the scalar curvature and trace of the stress-energy tensor, respectively). The static and perturbed field equations are constructed for perfect fluid parameterized by linear equation of state parameter. We obtain solutions manifesting the Einstein static state by considering peculiar $f(R,T)$ forms for vanishing and non-vanishing conservation of the stress-energy tensor. It is observed that stable static Einstein regions exist for both closed as well as open FLRW universe models for an appropriate choice of parameters. We conclude that this theory is efficient for presenting such cosmological solutions leading to emergent universe scenario.

Quasi-normal Modes and Thermal Fluctuations of Charged Black Hole with Weyl Corrections

In this paper, we study thermodynamics, quasi-normal modes and thermal fluctuations of a charged black hole with Weyl corrections. We first obtain thermodynamic quantities such as Hawking temperature, entropy, and heat capacity for non-rotating as well as rotating versions of this black hole. We also evaluate temperature through quantum tunneling mechanism which is exactly the same as found through surface gravity. We then discuss the relation between Davies's point and quasi-normal modes. Finally, we investigate the effects of thermal fluctuations on the uncorrected thermodynamic quantities. It is concluded that the logarithmic corrections originated from thermal fluctuations make the system more unstable for small BHs.

Stability of Gravastars with Exterior Regular Black Holes

This paper examines the stability of thin-shell gravastars in the context of regular spacetimes (Bardeen and Bardeen-de Sitter black holes). We apply cut and paste approach to construct gravastars through the matching of interior non-singular de Sitter geometry with exterior regular black hole. This model contains three regions, i.e., interior, thin-shell and exterior. The interior and exterior regions are connected at thin-shell. We investigate physical viability of the developed model by the energy conditions and explore its stability by using radial perturbation about the equilibrium shell radius. It is found that thin-shell gravastars show large stable regions for the Bardeen-de Sitter black hole as compared to the Bardeen black hole. It is concluded that stable regions exist near the formation of expected event horizon.

Static Wormhole Solutions and Noether Symmetry in Modified Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

In this paper, we analyze static traversable wormholes via Noether symmetry technique in modified Gauss-Bonnet $f(\mathcal{G})$ theory of gravity (where $\mathcal{G}$ represents Gauss-Bonnet term). We assume isotropic matter configuration and spherically symmetric metric. We construct three $f(\mathcal{G})$ models, i.e, linear, quadratic and exponential forms and examine the consistency of these models. The traversable nature of wormhole solutions is discussed via null energy bound of the effective stress-energy tensor while physical behavior is studied through standard energy bounds of isotropic fluid. We also discuss the stability of these wormholes inside the wormhole throat and conclude the presence of traversable and physically stable wormholes for quadratic as well as exponential $f(\mathcal{G})$ models.

Role of Curvature-Matter Coupling on Anisotropic Strange Stars

In this paper, we study the physical characteristics of anisotropic spherically symmetric quark star candidates for $R+2σT$ gravity model, where $R$, $σ$ and $T$ depict scalar curvature, coupling parameter, and the trace of the energy-momentum tensor, respectively. In order to analyze the structure formation of quark stars, we consider the Heintzmann solution and assume that strange quark matter is characterized by MIT bag model equation of state. We evaluate the unknown parameters through matching conditions and obtain the values of radii of strange quark stars using modified Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equation with observed values of masses and bag constant. The feasibility of our considered solution is analyzed by graphical analysis of matter variables, energy bounds, causality condition and adiabatic index. It is found that the strange quark stars show stable structure corresponding to Heintzmann solution and their physical viability enhances with increasing values of the model parameter $σ$.

Accretion Onto a Charged Higher-Dimensional Black Hole

This paper deals with the steady-state polytropic fluid accretion onto a higher-dimensional Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m black hole. We formulate the generalized mass flux conservation equation, energy flux conservation and relativistic Bernoulli equation to discuss the accretion process. The critical accretion is investigated by finding critical radius, critical sound velocity and critical flow velocity. We also explore gas compression and temperature profiles to analyze the asymptotic behavior. It is found that the results for Schwarzschild black hole are recovered when $q=0$ in four dimensions. We conclude that accretion process in higher dimensions becomes slower in the presence of charge.

Dynamical Instability of Gaseous Sphere in the Reissner-Nordstrom Limit

In this paper, we study the dynamical instability of gaseous sphere under radial oscillations approaching the Reissner-Nordström limit. For this purpose, we derive linearized perturbed equation of motion following the Eulerian and Lagrangian approaches. We formulate perturbed pressure in terms of adiabatic index by employing the conservation of baryon numbers. A variational principle is established to evaluate characteristic frequencies of oscillations which lead to the criteria for dynamical stability. The dynamical instability of homogeneous sphere as well as relativistic polytropes with different values of charge in Newtonian and post-Newtonian regimes is explored. We also find their radii of instability in terms of the Reissner-Nordstrom radius. We conclude that dynamical instability occurs if the gaseous sphere contracts to the Reissner-Nordstörm radius for different values of charge.

Dynamics of Axial Symmetric System in Self-Interacting Brans-Dicke Gravity

This paper investigates dynamics of axial reflection symmetric model in self-interacting Brans-Dicke gravity for anisotropic fluid. We formulate hydrodynamical equations and discuss oscillations using time-dependent perturbation for both spin as well as spin-independent cases. The expressions of frequency, total energy density and equation of motion of oscillating model are obtained. We study instability of oscillating models in weak approximations. It is found that the oscillations and stability of the model depend upon the dark energy source along with anisotropy and reflection effects. We conclude that the axial reflection system remains stable for stiffness parameter $Γ=1$, collapses for $Γ>1$ and becomes unstable for $0<Γ<1$.

Dynamics of Particles Near Black Hole with Higher Dimensions

This paper explores the dynamics of particles in higher dimensions. For this purpose, we discuss some interesting features related to the motion of particles near Myers-Perry black hole with arbitrary extra dimensions as well as single non-zero spin parameter. Assuming it as a supermassive black hole at the center of galaxy, we calculate red-blue shifts in the equatorial plane for the far away observer as well as corresponding black hole parameters of the photons. Next, we study the Penrose process and find that the energy gain of particle depends on the variation of black hole dimensions. Finally, we discuss the center of mass energy for eleven dimensions which indicates similar behavior as that of four dimensions but it is higher in four dimensions than five or more dimensions. We conclude that higher dimensions have a great impact on the particle dynamics.

We formulate general field equations, divergence of energy-momentum tensor, equation of motion for test particles as well as corresponding energy conditions. The massive test particles follow non-geodesic lines of geometry due to the presence of extra force. Instability Analysis of Cylindrical Stellar Object in Brans-Dicke Gravity

This paper investigates instability ranges of a cylindrically symmetric collapsing stellar object in Brans-Dicke theory of gravity. For this purpose, we use perturbation approach in the modified field equations as well as dynamical equations and construct a collapse equation. The collapse equation with adiabatic index ($Γ$) is used to explore the instability ranges of both isotropic as well as anisotropic fluid in Newtonian and post-Newtonian approximations. It turns out that the instability ranges depend on the dynamical variables of collapsing fluid. We conclude that the system always remains unstable for $0<Γ<1$ while $Γ>1$ provides instability only for the special case.

Shadow of a Charged Rotating Non-Commutative Black Hole

This paper investigates the shadow of a charged rotating non-commutative black hole. For this purpose, we first formulate the null geodesics and study the effects of non-commutative charge on the photon orbit. We then explore the effect of spin, angle of inclination as well as non-commutative charge on the silhouette of the shadow. It is found that shape of the shadow deviates from the circle with the decrease in the non-commutative charge. We also discuss observable quantities to study the deformation and distortion in the shadow cast by the black hole which decreases for small values of non-commutative charge. Finally, we study the shadows in the presence of plasma. We conclude that the non-commutativity has a great impact on the black hole shadow.

Stability of the Regular Hayward Thin-Shell Wormholes

The aim of this paper is to construct regular Hayward thin-shell wormholes and analyze their stability. We adopt Israel formalism to calculate surface stresses of the shell and check the null and weak energy conditions for the constructed wormholes. It is found that the stress-energy tensor components violate the null and weak energy conditions leading to the presence of exotic matter at the throat. We analyze the attractive and repulsive characteristics of wormholes corresponding to $a^r>0$ and $a^r<0$, respectively. We also explore stability conditions for the existence of traversable thin-shell wormholes with arbitrarily small amount of fluids describing cosmic expansion. We find that the spacetime has non-physical regions which give rise to event horizon for $0<a_{0}<2.8$ and the wormhole becomes non-traversable producing a black hole. The non-physical region in the wormhole configuration decreases gradually and vanishes for the Hayward parameter $l=0.9$. It is concluded that the Hayward and Van der Waals quintessence parameters increase the stability of thin-shell wormholes.

Stellar Filaments in Self-Interacting Brans-Dicke Gravity

This paper is devoted to study cylindrically symmetric stellar filaments in self-interacting Brans-Dicke gravity. For this purpose, we construct polytropic filamentary models through generalized Lane-Emden equation in Newtonian regime. The resulting models depend upon the values of cosmological constant (due to scalar field) along with polytropic index and represent a generalization of the corresponding models in general relativity. We also investigate fragmentation of filaments by exploring the radial oscillations through stability analysis. This stability criteria depends only upon the adiabatic index.

Warm Inflation in $f(\mathcal{G})$ Theory of Gravity

The aim of this paper is to explore warm inflation in the background of $f(\mathcal{G})$ theory of gravity using scalar fields for the FRW universe model. These parameters are evaluated for a constant as well as variable dissipation factor during intermediate and logamediate inflationary epochs. We also find the number of e-folds and tensor-scalar ratio for each case. The graphical behavior of these parameters proves that the isotropic model in $f(\mathcal{G})$ gravity is compatible with observational Planck data.

This paper explores the dynamics of warm intermediate and logamediate inflationary models during weak dissipative regime with a general form of dissipative coefficient. We analyze these models within the framework of locally rotationally symmetric Bianchi type I universe. In both cases, we evaluate solution of inflaton, effective scalar potential, dissipative coefficient, slow-roll parameters, scalar and tensor power spectra, scalar spectral index and tensor to scalar ratio under slow-roll approximation. We constrain the model parameters using recent data and conclude that anisotropic inflationary universe model with generalized dissipation coefficient remains compatible with WMAP9, Planck and BICEP2 data.

Instability of Meridional Axial System in f(R) Gravity

We analyze dynamical instability of non-static reflection axial stellar structure by taking into account generalized Euler's equation in metric $f(R)$ gravity. Such an equation is obtained by contracting Bianchi identities of usual anisotropic and effective stress-energy tensors, which after using radial perturbation technique gives modified collapse equation. In the realm of $R+εR^n$ gravity model, we investigate instability constraints at Newtonian and post-Newtonian approximations. We find that instability of meridional axial self-gravitating system depends upon static profile of structure coefficients while $f(R)$ extra curvature terms induce stability to the evolving celestial body.

Stability Analysis of Axial Reflection Symmetric Spacetime

In this paper, we explore instability regions of non-static axial reflection symmetric spacetime with anisotropic source in the interior. We impose linear perturbation on the Einstein field equations and dynamical equations to establish the collapse equation. The effects of different physical factors like energy density and anisotropic stresses on the instability regions are studied under Newtonian and post-Newtonian limits. We conclude that stiffness parameter has a significant role in this analysis while the reflection terms increase instability ranges of non-static axial collapse.

Analysis of Generalized Ghost Version of Pilgrim Dark Energy

The proposal of pilgrim dark energy is based on the speculation that phantom-like dark energy possesses enough resistive force to preclude the black hole formation in the later universe. We explore this phenomenon by assuming the generalized ghost version of pilgrim dark energy. We find that most of the values of the interacting ($ξ^2$) as well as pilgrim dark energy ($u$) parameters push the equation of state parameter towards phantom region. The squared speed of sound shows that this model remains stable in most of the cases of $ξ^2$ and $u$. We also develop $ω_Λ-ω'_Λ$ plane and observe that this model corresponds to thawing as well as freezing regions. Finally, it is shown that the non-interacting and interacting generalized ghost versions of pilgrim dark energy correspond to $Λ$CDM limit on the statefinder plane.

Cosmological Evolution of Pilgrim Dark Energy

We study pilgrim dark energy model by taking IR cut-offs as particle and event horizons as well as conformal age of the universe. We derive evolution equations for fractional energy density and equation of state parameters for pilgrim dark energy. The phantom cosmic evolution is established in these scenarios which is well supported by the cosmological parameters such as deceleration parameter, statefinder parameters and phase space of $ω_\vartheta$ and $ω'_\vartheta$. We conclude that the consistent value of parameter $μ$ is $μ<0$ in accordance with the current Planck and WMAP$9$ results.

In this paper, we employ cut and paste scheme to construct thin-shell wormhole of a charged black string with $f(R)$ terms. We consider $f(R)$ model as an exotic matter source at wormhole throat. The stability of the respective solutions are analyzed under radial perturbations in the context of $R+δR^2$ model. It is concluded that both stable as well as unstable solutions do exist for different values of $δ$. In the limit $δ{\rightarrow}0$, all our results reduce to general relativity.

In this paper, we study the effects of polynomial $f(R)$ model on the stability of homogeneous energy density in self-gravitating spherical stellar object. For this purpose, we construct couple of evolution equations which relate the Weyl tensor with matter parameters. We explore different factors responsible for density inhomogeneities with non-dissipative dust, isotropic as well as anisotropic fluids and dissipative dust cloud. We find that shear, pressure, dissipative parameters and $f(R)$ terms affect the existence of inhomogeneous energy density.

Stability of a Class of Non-Static Axial Self-Gravitating Systems in $f(R)$ Gravity

In this paper, we analyze stability regions of a non-static restricted class of axially symmetric spacetime with anisotropic matter distribution. We consider $f(R)=R+εR^2$ model and assume hydrostatic equilibrium of the axial self-gravitating system at large past time. Considering perturbation from hydrostatic phase, we develop dynamical as well as collapse equations and explore dynamical instabilities at Newtonian and post-Newtonian regimes. It is concluded with the help of stiffness parameter, $Γ_1$, that radial profile of physical parameters like pressure anisotropy, energy density and higher curvature terms of the $f(R)$ model affect the instability ranges.

Thermodynamic Behavior of particular $f(R,T)$ Gravity Models

We investigate the thermodynamics at the apparent horizon of the FRW universe in $f(R,T)$ theory under non-equilibrium description. The laws of thermodynamics have been discussed for two particular models of $f(R,T)$ theory. The first law of thermodynamics is expressed in the form of Clausius relation $T_hd\hat{S}_h=δ{Q}$, where $δ{Q}=-d\hat{E}+Wd\mathbb{V}+T_hd_{\jmath}\hat{S}$ is the energy flux across the horizon and $d_{\jmath}\hat{S}$ is the entropy production term. Furthermore, the conditions to preserve the generalized second law of thermodynamics are established with the constraints of positive temperature and attractive gravity. We have illustrated our results for some concrete models in this theory.

Thermodynamics in $f(T)$ Gravity and Corrected Entropies

This paper is devoted to study the generalized second law of thermodynamics in $f(T)$ gravity. We use quantum corrections such as power-law and logarithmic corrected entropies to the horizon entropy along with Gibbs' equation in the thermal equilibrium state. We derive $f(T)$ model by taking into account a power-law scale factor through the first modified Friedmann equation which obeys the condition for a realistic model. Two types of horizons, i.e., Hubble and event horizons are used to check the validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics with corrected entropies. We conclude that this law holds with a specific range of entropy parameter on both horizons in the case of power-law corrected entropy, while it violates for all values of entropy parameter on both horizons for logarithmic corrected entropy.

Viscous Dark Energy in $f(T)$ Gravity

We study the bulk viscosity taking dust matter in the generalized teleparallel gravity. We consider different dark energy models in this scenario along with a time dependent viscous model to construct the viscous equation of state parameter for these dark energy models. We discuss the graphical representation of this parameter to investigate the viscosity effects on the accelerating expansion of the universe. It is mentioned here that the behavior of the universe depends upon the viscous coefficients showing the transition from decelerating to accelerating phase. It leads to the crossing of phantom divide line and becomes phantom dominated for specific ranges of these coefficients.

In this study, we concentrate on two particular models of $f(R,T)$ gravity namely, $R+2A(T)$ and $B(R)+λ{T}$. It is proved that the first and generalized second law of thermodynamics are valid on the apparent horizon for both the models. Further, we take fixed radius $L$ of the apparent horizon with original holographic or Ricci dark energy. We conclude that the first and generalized second laws of thermodynamics do not hold on the horizon of fixed radius $L$ for both the models.

Dynamics of Charged Radiating Collapse in Modified Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

This paper deals with the dynamics of a shearfree charged radiating collapse in modified Gauss-Bonnet gravity. The field equations for shearfree spherical interior geometry of a charged dissipative star are formulated. To study the dynamical behavior of collapsing matter, we derive the dynamical as well as transport equations. We conclude that the gravitational force in modified Gauss-Bonnet gravity is much stronger as compared to general relativity which implies the increase in the rate of collapse. Finally, we study the effect of charge on the dynamics of collapse.

Dynamics of Potentials in Bianchi Type Scalar-Tensor Cosmology

The present study investigates the nature of the field potential via new technique known as reconstruction method for the scalar field potentials. The key point of this technique is the assumption that Hubble parameter is dependent on the scalar field. We consider Bianchi type I universe in the gravitational framework of scalar-tensor gravity and explore the general form of the scalar field potential. In particular, this field potential is investigated for the matter contents like barotropic fluid, the cosmological constant and Chaplygin gas. It is concluded that for a given value of Hubble parameter, one can reconstruct the scalar potentials which can generate the cosmology motivated by these matter contents.

Dynamics of Shearfree Dissipative Collapse in f(G) Gravity

In this paper, we study the dynamics of shearfree dissipative gravitational collapse in modified Gauss-Bonnet theory of gravity - so called f(G) gravity. The field equations of f(G) gravity are applied to shearfree spherical interior geometry of the dissipative star. We formulate the dynamical as well as transport equations and then couple them to investigate the process of collapse. We conclude that the gravitational force in this theory is much stronger as compared to general relativity which indicates increase in the rate of collapse. Further, the relation between the Weyl tensor and matter components is established. This shows that for constant f(G) the vanishing of the Weyl scalar leads to the homogeneity in energy density and vice versa.

Effects of Electromagnetic Field on the Dynamical Instability of Expansionfree Gravitational Collapse

In this paper, we discuss the effects of electromagnetic field on the dynamical instability of a spherically symmetric expansionfree gravitational collapse. Darmois junction conditions are formulated by matching interior spherically symmetric spacetime to exterior Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m spacetime. We investigate the role of different terms in the dynamical equation at Newtonian and post Newtonian regimes by using perturbation scheme. It is concluded that instability range depends upon pressure anisotropy, radial profile of energy density and electromagnetic field, but not on the adiabatic index $Γ$. In particular, the electromagnetic field reduces the unstable region.

We discuss the validity of the energy conditions in a newly modified theory named as $f(R,T,R_{μν}T^{μν})$ gravity, where $R$ and $T$ represent the scalar curvature and trace of the energy-momentum tensor. The corresponding energy conditions are derived which appear to be more general and can reduce to the familiar forms of these conditions in general relativity, $f(R)$ and $f(R,T)$ theories. The general inequalities are presented in terms of recent values of Hubble, deceleration, jerk and snap parameters. In particular, we use two specific models recently developed in literature to study concrete application of these conditions as well as Dolgov-Kawasaki instability. Finally, we explore $f(R,T)$ gravity as a specific case to this modified theory for exponential and power law models.

Nonlinear Electrodynamics in $f(T)$ Gravity and Generalized Second Law of Thermodynamics

In this paper, we study the nonlinear electrodynamics in the framework of $f(T)$ gravity for FRW universe along with dust matter, magnetic and torsion contributions. We evaluate the equation of state and deceleration parameters to explore the accelerated expansion of the universe. The validity of generalized second law of thermodynamics for Hubble and event horizons is also investigated in this scenario. For this purpose, we assume pole-like and power-law forms of scale factor and construct $f(T)$ models. The graphical behavior of the cosmological parameters versus smaller values of redshift $z$ represent the accelerated expansion of the universe. Singularities of Noncompact Charged Objects

We formulate a model of noncompact spherical charged objects in the framework of noncommutative field theory. The Einstein-Maxwell field equations are solved with charged anisotropic fluid. We choose the forms of mass and charge densities which belong to two parameter family of density distribution functions instead of densities as Gaussian width length. It is found that the corresponding densities and the Ricci scalar are singular at origin whereas the metric is nonsingular indicating a spacelike singularity. Thermodynamics in Closed Universe with Entropy Corrections

We discuss the generalized second law of thermodynamics in three different systems by taking quantum corrections (logarithmic and power law) to cosmological horizon entropy as well as black hole entropy. Firstly, we consider phantom energy accretion onto the Schwarzschild black hole in the closed FRW universe and investigate validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics on the apparent and event horizons. In another scenario, we evaluate the critical mass of the Schwarzschild black hole with upper and lower bounds under accretion process due to phantom-like modified generalized chaplygin gas. It is found that the generalized second law of thermodynamics is respected within these bounds and black hole cannot accrete outside them. Finally, we explore this law for a closed universe filled with interacting $n$-components of fluid (in thermal equilibrium case) and with non-interacting dark matter and dark energy components (in thermal non-equilibrium case) on the apparent and event horizons and find conditions for its validity.

For this purpose, we determine spherically symmetric charged Vaidya model and then formulate a noncommutative Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m-like solution of this model which leads to an exact $(t-r)$ dependent metric. The behavior of temporal component of this metric and the corresponding Hawking temperature is investigated. The results are shown in the form of graphs. Further, we examine the tunneling process of the charged massive particles through the quantum horizon. It is found that the tunneling amplitude is modified due to noncommutativity. Also, it turns out that black hole evaporates completely in the limits of large time and horizon radius. The effect of charge is to reduce the temperature from maximum value to zero. Expanding and Collapsing Scalar Field Thin Shell

This paper deals with the dynamics of scalar field thin shell in the Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m geometry. The Israel junction conditions between Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m spacetimes are derived, which lead to the equation of motion of scalar field shell and Klien-Gordon equation. These equations are solved numerically by taking scalar field model with the quadratic scalar potential. It is found that solution represents the expanding and collapsing scalar field shell. For the better understanding of this problem, we investigate the case of massless scalar field (by taking the scalar field potential zero). Also, we evaluate the scalar field potential when $p$ is an explicit function of $R$. We conclude that both massless as well as massive scalar field shell can expand to infinity at constant rate or collapse to zero size forming a curvature singularity or bounce under suitable conditions.

Non-Commutative Correction to Thin Shell Collapse in Reissner Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m Geometry

This paper investigates the polytropic matter shell collapse in the non-commutative Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m geometry. Using the Israel criteria, equation of motion for the polytropic matter shell is derived. In order to explore the physical aspects of this equation, the most general equation of state, $p=kρ^{({1+\frac{1}{n}})}$, has been used for finite and infinite values of $n$. The effective potentials corresponding to the equation of motion have been used to explain different states of the matter shell collapse. The numerical solution of the equation of motion predicts collapse as well as expansion depending on the choice of initial data. Further, in order to include the non-commutative correction, we modify the matter components and re-formulate the equation of motion as well as the corresponding effective potentials by including non-commutative factor and charge parameter. It is concluded that charge reduces the velocity of the expanding or collapsing matter shell but does not bring the shell to static position. While the non-commutative factor with generic matter favors the formation of black hole.

Phantom Energy Accretion by Stringy Charged Black Hole

We investigate the dynamical behavior of phantom energy near stringy magnetically charged black hole. For this purpose, we derive equations of motion for steady-state spherically symmetric flow of phantom energy onto the stringy magnetically charged black hole. It is found that phantom energy accreting onto black hole decreases its mass. Further, the location of critical points of accretion is explored, which yields mass to charge ratio. This ratio implies that accretion process cannot transform a black hole into an extremal black hole or a naked singularity, hence cosmic censorship hypothesis remains valid here.

Solvable K-essence Cosmologies and Modified Chaplygin Gas Unified Models of Dark Energy and Dark Matter

This paper is devoted to the investigation of modified Chaplygin gas model in the context of solvable k-essence cosmologies. For this purpose, we construct equations of state parameter of this model for some particular values of the parameter $n$. The graphical behavior of these equations are also discussed by using power law form of potential. The relationship between k-essence and modified Chaplygin gas model shows viable results in the dark energy scenario. We conclude that the universe behaves as a cosmological constant, quintessence phase or phantom phase depending upon $n$.

Structure Scalars for Charged Cylindrically Symmetric Relativistic Fluids

We investigate some structure scalars developed through Riemann tensor for self-gravitating cylindrically symmetric charged dissipative anisotropic fluid. We show that these scalars are directly related to the fundamental properties of the fluid. We formulate dynamical-transport equation as well as the mass function by including charge which are then expressed in terms of structure scalars. The effects of electric charge are investigated in the structure and evolution of compact objects. Finally, we show that all possible solutions of the field equations can be written in terms of these scalars.

Thermodynamics in f(R,T) Theory of Gravity

A non-equilibrium picture of thermodynamics is discussed at the apparent horizon of FRW universe in $f(R,T)$ gravity, where $R$ is the Ricci scalar and $T$ is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. We take two forms of the energy-momentum tensor of dark components and demonstrate that equilibrium description of thermodynamics is not achievable in both cases. We check the validity of the first and second law of thermodynamics in this scenario. It is shown that the Friedmann equations can be expressed in the form of first law of thermodynamics $T_hdS'_h+T_hd_{\jmath}S'=-dE'+W'dV$, where $d_{\jmath}S'$ is the entropy production term. Finally, we conclude that the second law of thermodynamics holds both in phantom and non-phantom phases.

Cylinder with Charged Anisotropic Source

We take charged anisotropic fluid cylinder when there is no external pressure acting on the fluid. This is a cylindrical version of the Krori and Barua's method to explore the field equations with anisotropic fluid. We discuss models with positive matter density and pressure that satisfy all the energy and stability conditions. It is found that charge does not vanish at the center of the cylinder. The equilibrium condition as well as physical conditions are discussed. Further, we highlight the connection between our solutions and the charged strange quark stars as well as with dark matter including charged massive particles. The graphical analysis of the matter variables versus charge is given which indicates a physically reasonable matter distribution.

Effects of f(R) Model on the Dynamical Instability of Expansionfree Gravitational Collapse

Dark energy models based on f(R) theory have been extensively studied in literature to realize the late time acceleration. In this paper, we have chosen a viable f(R) model and discussed its effects on the dynamical instability of expansionfree fluid evolution generating a central vacuum cavity. For this purpose, contracted Bianchi identities are obtained for both the usual matter as well as dark source. The term dark source is named to the higher order curvature corrections arising from f(R) gravity. The perturbation scheme is applied and different terms belonging to Newtonian and post Newtonian regimes are identified. It is found that instability range of expansionfree fluid on external boundary as well as on internal vacuum cavity is independent of adiabatic index $Γ$ but depends upon the density profile, pressure anisotropy and f(R) model.

Expansionfree Fluid Evolution and Skripkin Model in f(R) Theory

We consider the modified $f(R)$ theory of gravity whose higher order curvature terms are interpreted as a gravitational fluid or dark source. The gravitational collapse of a spherically symmetric star, made up of locally anisotropic viscous fluid, is studied under the general influence of the curvature fluid. Dynamical equations and junction conditions are modified in the context of f(R) dark energy and by taking into account the expansionfree evolution of the self-gravitating fluid. As a particular example, the Skripkin model is investigated which corresponds to isotropic pressure with constant energy density. The results are compared with corresponding results in General Relativity.

The fluid is assumed to be locally anisotropic which evolves adiabatically. To study the dynamics of the collapsing fluid, Newtonian and post Newtonian regimes are taken into account. The field equations are investigated for a well-known $f(R)$ model of the form $R+δR^2$ admitting Schwarzschild solution. The perturbation scheme is used on the dynamical equations to explore the instability conditions of expansionfree fluid evolution. We conclude that instability conditions depend upon pressure anisotropy, energy density and some constraints arising from this theory.

Thermodynamics of a Bardeen black hole in noncommutative space

In this paper, we examine the effects of space noncommutativity on the thermodynamics of a Bardeen charged regular black hole. Graphs show that the commutative coordinates extrapolate all such quantities (except temperature) for a given set of parameters. It is interesting to mention here that these sets of parameters provide the singularity (essential for $r_h>0$) and horizon ($f(r_h)=0$ for $r_h>0$) for the black hole solution in noncommutative space, while for commutative space no such quantity exists.

In this paper, we study dynamics of the charged plane symmetric gravitational collapse. For this purpose, we discuss non-adiabatic flow of a viscous fluid and deduce the results for adiabatic case. The Einstein and Maxwell field equations are formulated for general plane symmetric spacetime in the interior. Junction conditions between the interior and exterior regions are derived. For the non-adiabatic case, the exterior is taken as plane symmetric charged Vaidya spacetime while for the adiabatic case, it is described by plane Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m spacetime. Using Misner and Sharp formalism, we obtain dynamical equations to investigate the effects of different forces over the rate of collapse. Effects of the Electromagnetic Field on Five-dimensional Gravitational Collapse

This paper investigates the five-dimensional(5D) spherically symmetric gravitational collapse with positive cosmological constant in the presence of an electromagnetic field. The junction conditions between the 5D non-static interior and the static exterior spacetimes are derived using the Israel criteria modified by Santos. We use the energy conditions to discuss solution to the field equations of the interior spacetime with a charged perfect fluid for the marginally bound and the non-marginally bound cases. We found that the range of apparent horizon was larger than that for 4D gravitational collapse with an electromagnetic field. This analysis gives the irreducible and the reducible extensions of 4D perfect fluid collapse with an electromagnetic field and 5D perfect fluid collapse, respectively. Moreover, for the later case, the results can be recovered under some restrictions.

The energy-momentum distribution for a class of regular black holes coupled with a non-linear electrodynamics source is investigated by using Hamiltonian approach of teleparallel theory. The generalized regular black hole contains two specific parameters $α$ and $β$ (a sort of dipole and quadrupole of non-linear source) on which the energy distribution depends. It is interesting to mention here that our results exactly coincide with different energy-momentum prescriptions in General Relativity.

The results obtained from the junction conditions between the Friedmann and the Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m de-Sitter spacetimes are used to solve the field equations. Further, the singularity structure and mass effects of the collapsing system on time difference between the formation of apparent horizons and singularity have been studied. Gravitational Perfect Fluid Collapse in f(R) Gravity

In this paper, we investigate spherically symmetric perfect fluid gravitational collapse in metric $f(R)$ gravity. We take non-static spherically symmetric metric in the interior region and static spherically symmetric metric in the exterior region of a star. The junction conditions between interior and exterior spacetimes are derived. The field equations in f(R) theory are solved using the assumption of constant Ricci scalar. Inserting their solution into junction conditions, the gravitational mass is found. Further, the apparent horizons and their time of formation is discussed. We conclude that the constant scalar curvature term f(R_0) acts as a source of repulsive force and thus slows down the collapse of matter. The comparison with the corresponding results available in general relativity indicates that f(R_0) plays the role of the cosmological constant.

The objective of this paper is to study the plane symmetric kinematic self-similar heat conducting fluid and charge dust solutions of the Einstein field equations. These solutions are classified according to self-similarity of the first, second, zeroth and infinite kinds with different equations of state. We take the self-similar vector to be tilted, orthogonal and parallel to the fluid flow. For heat conducting fluid, it is found that there exist only \emph{one} solution in parallel case. Non-vacuum Solutions of Bianchi Type VI_0 Universe in f(R) Gravity

In this paper, we solve the field equations in metric f(R) gravity for Bianchi type VI_0 spacetime and discuss evolution of the expanding universe. We find two types of non-vacuum solutions by taking isotropic and anisotropic fluids as the source of matter and dark energy. The physical behavior of these solutions is analyzed and compared in the future evolution with the help of some physical and geometrical parameters. It is concluded that in the presence of isotropic fluid, the model has singularity at $\tilde{t}=0$ and represents continuously expanding shearing universe currently entering into phantom phase. In anisotropic fluid, the model has no initial singularity and exhibits the uniform accelerating expansion. Behavior of Time-varying Constants in Relativity

In this paper, we consider Bianchi type III and Kantowski-Sachs spacetimes and discuss the behavior of time-varying constants $G$ and $Λ$ by using two symmetric techniques, namely, kinematic self-similarity and matter collineation. In the kinematic self-similarity technique, we investigate the behavior of the first and the second kinds. In the matter collineation technique, we consider usual, modified, and completely modified matter collineation equations while studying the behavior of these constants. Further, we reduce the results for dust, radiation, and stiff fluids. We find that $Λ$ is a decreasing time function while $G$ is an increasing time function. Further, we find that the deceleration parameter attains a negative value, which shows that the expansion of the universe is accelerating.

We use Einstein, Landau-Lifshitz, Bergmann-Thomson and Möller's prescriptions to evaluate energy-momentum distribution of Bell-Szekeres metric in both the theories. It is shown that these prescriptions give the same energy-momentum density components in both General Relativity and teleparallel theory. Möller's prescription yields constant energy in both the theories.

Addendum: A Classification of Plane Symmetric Kinematic Self-similar Solutions

In our recent paper, we classified plane symmetric kinematic self-similar perfect fluid and dust solutions of the second, zeroth and infinite kinds. However, we have missed some solutions during the process. In this short communication, we add up those missing solutions. We have found a total of seven solutions, out of which five turn out to be independent and cannot be found in the earlier paper

Effects of Schwarzschild Geometry on Isothermal Plasma Wave Dispersion

The behavior of isothermal plasma waves has been analyzed near the Schwarzschild horizon. We consider a non-rotating background with non-magnetized and magnetized plasmas. The general relativistic magnetohydrodynamical equations for the Schwarzschild planar analogue spacetime with an isothermal state of the plasma are formulated. The perturbed form of these equations is linearized and Fourier analyzed by introducing simple harmonic waves. The determinant of these equations in each case leads to a complex dispersion relation, which gives complex values of the wave number. This has been used to discuss the nature of the waves and their characteristics near the horizon.

Energy-Momentum Distribution of the Weyl-Lewis-Papapetrou and the Levi-Civita Metrics

This paper is devoted to compute the energy-momentum densities for two exact solutions of the Einstein field equations by using the prescriptions of Einstein, Landau-Lifshitz, Papapetrou and Möller. The spacetimes under consideration are the Weyl-Lewis-Papapetrou and the Levi-Civita metrics. The Weyl metric becomes the special case of the Weyl-Lewis-Papapetrou solution. The Levi-Civita metric provides constant momentum in each prescription with different energy density. The Weyl-Lewis-Papapetrou metric yields all the quantities different in each prescription. These differences support the well-defined proposal developed by Cooperstock and from the energy-momentum tensor itself.

Teleparallel Version of the Stationary Axisymmetric Solutions and their Energy Contents

This work contains the teleparallel version of the stationary axisymmetric solutions. We obtain the tetrad and the torsion fields representing these solutions. The tensor, vector and axial-vector parts of the torsion tensor are evaluated. It is found that the axial-vector has component only along $ρ$ and $z$ directions. The three possibilities of the axial vector depending on the metric function $B$ are discussed. The vector related with spin has also been evaluated and the corresponding extra Hamiltonian is furnished. Further, we use the teleparallel version of M$\ddot{o}$ller prescription to find the energy-momentum distribution of the solutions. It is interesting to note that (for $λ=1$) energy and momentum densities in teleparallel theory are equal to the corresponding quantities in GR plus an additional quantity in each, which may become equal under certain conditions. Finally, we discuss the two special cases of the stationary axisymmetric solutions.

The Pseudo-Newtonian Force and Potential about a Higher Dimensional Rotating Black Hole

In this paper, we study the behavior of the pseudo-Newtonian force and potential about a higher dimensional rotating black hole. We obtain conditions for the force character from an attractive to repulsive. We also find the conditions under which force attains a maximum value. The results of this paper generalizes the already found structure of force and potential about a five dimensional rotating black hole. It is interesting to note that we recover the five dimensional results under a special case.

A Classification of Plane Symmetric Kinematic Self-Similar Solutions

In this paper we provide a classification of plane symmetric kinematic self-similar perfect fluid and dust solutions. In the perfect fluid and dust cases, kinematic self-similar vectors for the tilted, orthogonal and parallel cases have been explored in the first, second, zeroth and infinite kinds with different equations of state. We obtain total of eleven plane symmetric kinematic self-similar solutions out of which six are independent. The perfect fluid case gives two solutions for infinite tilted and infinite orthogonal kinds. In the dust case, we have four independent solutions in the first orthogonal, infinite tilted, infinite orthogonal and infinite parallel kinds. The remaining cases provide contradiction. It is interesting to mention that some of these solutions turn out to be vacuum.

Energy-Momentum Distribution: Some Examples

In this paper, we elaborate the problem of energy-momentum in General Relativity with the help of some well-known solutions. In this connection, we use the prescriptions of Einstein, Landau-Lifshitz, Papapetrou and Möller to compute the energy-momentum densities for four exact solutions of the Einstein field equations. We take the gravitational waves, special class of Ferrari-Ibanez degenerate solution, Senovilla-Vera dust solution and Wainwright-Marshman solution. It turns out that these prescriptions do provide consistent results for special class of Ferrari-Ibanez degenerate solution and Wainwright-Marshman solution but inconsistent results for gravitational waves and Senovilla-Vera dust solution.

Matter Inheritance Symmetries of Spherically Symmetric Static Spacetimes

In this paper we discuss matter inheritance collineations by giving a complete classification of spherically symmetric static spacetimes by their matter inheritance symmetries. It is shown that when the energy-momentum tensor is degenerate, most of the cases yield infinite dimensional matter inheriting symmetries. It is worth mentioning here that two cases provide finite dimensional matter inheriting vectors even for the degenerate case. The non-degenerate case provides finite dimensional matter inheriting symmetries. We obtain different constraints on the energy-momentum tensor in each case. It is interesting to note that if the inheriting factor vanishes, matter inheriting collineations reduce to be matter collineations already available in the literature. This idea of matter inheritance collineations turn out to be the same as homotheties and conformal Killing vectors are for the metric tensor.

Timelike and Spacelike Matter Inheritance Vectors in Specific Forms of Energy-Momentum Tensor

This paper is devoted to the investigation of the consequences of timelike and spacelike matter inheritance vectors in specific forms of energy-momentum tensor, i.e., for string cosmology (string cloud and string fluid) and perfect fluid. Necessary and sufficient conditions are developed for a spacetime with string cosmology and perfect fluid to admit a timelike matter inheritance vector, parallel to $u^a$ and spacelike matter inheritance vector, parallel to $x^a$. We compare the outcome with the conditions of conformal Killing vectors. This comparison provides us the conditions for the existence of matter inheritance vector when it is also a conformal Killing vector. Finally, we discuss these results for the existence of matter inheritance vector in the special cases of the above mentioned spacetimes.

Energy-Momentum Distribution: A Crucial Problem in General Relativity

This paper is aimed to elaborate the problem of energy-momentum in General Relativity. In this connection, we use the prescriptions of Einstein, Landau-Lifshitz, Papapetrou and Möller to compute the energy-momentum densities for two exact solutions of Einstein field equations. The spacetimes under consideration are the non-null Einstein-Maxwell solutions and the singularity-free cosmological model. The electromagnetic generalization of the Gödel solution and the Gödel metric become special cases of the non-null Einstein-Maxwell solutions. It turns out that these prescriptions do not provide consistent results for any of these spacetimes. These inconsistence results verify the well-known proposal that the idea of localization does not follow the lines of pseudo-tensorial construction but instead follows from the energy-momentum tensor itself. These differences can also be understood with the help of the Hamiltonian approach.

Symmetries of the Energy-Momentum Tensor of Cylindrically Symmetric Static Spacetimes

We investigate matter symmetries of cylindrically symmetric static spacetimes. These are classified for both cases when the energy-momentum tensor is non-degenerate and also when it is degenerate. It is found that the non-degenerate energy-momentum tensor gives either three, four, five, six, seven or ten independent matter collineations in which three are isometries and the rest are proper. The worth mentioning cases are those where we obtain the group of matter collineations finite-dimensional even the energy-momentum tensor is degenerate. These are either three, four, five or ten. Some examples are constructed satisfying the constraints on the energy-momentum tensor.
