Briot-Bouquet differential subordination and Bernardi's integral operator

The conditions on AA, BB, ββ and γγ are obtained for an analytic function pp defined on the open unit disc D\mathbb{D} and normalized by p(0)=1p(0)=1 to be subordinate to (1+Az)/(1+Bz)(1+Az)/(1+Bz), −1≤B<A≤1-1\leq B<A \leq 1 when p(z)+zp′(z)/(βp(z)+γ)p(z)+ zp'(z)/(βp(z)+γ) is subordinate to eze^{z}. The conditions on these parameters are derived for the function pp to be subordinate to 1+z\sqrt{1+z} or eze^{z} when p(z)+zp′(z)/(βp(z)+γ)p(z)+ zp'(z)/(βp(z)+γ) is subordinate to (1+Az)/(1+Bz)(1+Az)/(1+Bz). The conditions on ββ and γγ are determined for the function pp to be subordinate to eze^{z} when p(z)+zp′(z)/(βp(z)+γ)p(z)+ zp'(z)/(βp(z)+γ) is subordinate to 1+z\sqrt{1+z}. Related result for the function p(z)+zp′(z)/(βp(z)+γ)p(z)+ zp'(z)/(βp(z)+γ) to be in the parabolic region bounded by the Re⁡w=∣w−1∣\operatorname{Re} w=|w-1| is investigated. Sufficient conditions for the Bernardi's integral operator to belong to the various subclasses of starlike functions are obtained as applications

Radius of starlikeness for some classes containing non-univalent functions

A starlike univalent function ff is characterized by the function zf′(z)/f(z)zf'(z)/f(z); several subclasses of these functions were studied in the past by restricting the function zf′(z)/f(z)zf'(z)/f(z) to take values in a region ΩΩ on the right-half plane, or, equivalently, by requiring the function zf′(z)/f(z)zf'(z)/f(z) to be subordinate to the corresponding mapping of the unit disk D\mathbb{D} to the region ΩΩ. The mappings w1(z):=z+1+z2,w2(z):=1+zw_1(z):=z+\sqrt{1+z^2}, w_2(z):=\sqrt{1+z} and w3(z):=ezw_3(z):=e^z maps the unit disk D\mathbb{D} to various regions in the right half plane. For normalized analytic functions ff satisfying the conditions that f(z)/g(z),g(z)/zp(z)f(z)/g(z), g(z)/zp(z) and p(z)p(z) are subordinate to the functions wi,i=1,2,3w_i, i=1,2,3 in various ways for some analytic functions g(z)g(z) and p(z)p(z), we determine the sharp radius for them to belong to various subclasses of starlike functions.

Starlikeness of Analytic Functions with Subordinate Ratios

Let hh be a non-vanishing analytic function in the open unit disc with h(0)=1h(0)=1. Consider the class consisting of normalized analytic functions ff whose ratios f(z)/g(z)f(z)/g(z), g(z)/zp(z)g(z)/z p(z), and p(z)p(z) are each subordinate to hh for some analytic functions gg and pp. The radius of starlikeness is obtained for this class when hh is chosen to be either h(z)=1+zh(z)=\sqrt{1+z} or h(z)=ezh(z)=e^z. Further G\mathcal{G}-radius is also obtained for each of these two classes when G\mathcal{G} is a particular widely studied subclass of starlike functions. These include G\mathcal{G} consisting of the Janowski starlike functions, and functions which are parabolic starlike.

Sufficient conditions for strong starlikeness

Let pp be an analytic function defined on the open unit disc D\mathbb{D} with p(0)=1p(0)=1 and 0<α≤10< α\leq 1. The conditions on complex valued functions CC, DD and EE are obtained for pp to be subordinate to ((1+z)/(1−z))α((1+z)/(1-z))^α when C(z)z2p′′(z)+D(z)zp′(z)+E(z)p(z)=0C(z) z^{2}p''(z)+D(z)zp'(z) + E(z)p(z)=0. Sufficient conditions for confluent (Kummer) hypergeometric function and generalized and normalized Bessel function of the first kind of complex order to be subordinate to ((1+z)/(1−z))α((1+z)/(1-z))^α are obtained as applications. The conditions on αα and ββ are derived for pp to be subordinate to ((1+z)/(1−z))α((1+z)/(1-z))^α when 1+βzp′(z)/pn(z)1+βzp'(z)/p^{n}(z) with n=1,2n=1,2 is subordinate to 1+4z/3+2z2/3=:φCAR(z)1+4z/3+2z^{2}/3=:φ_{CAR}(z). Similar problems were investigated for $\RE p(z)>0$ when the functions p(z)+βzp′(z)/pn(z)p(z)+βzp'(z)/p^{n}(z) with n=0,2n=0,2 is subordinate to φCAR(z)φ_{CAR}(z). The condition on ββ is determined for pp to be subordinate to ((1+z)/(1−z))α((1+z)/(1-z))^α when p(z)+βzp′(z)/pn(z)p(z)+βzp'(z)/p^{n}(z) with n=0,1,2n=0,1,2 is subordinate to ((1+z)/(1−z))α((1+z)/(1-z))^α.
