Competent Discrete Time Modeling For analogue controlled PWM Converter Considering State-Feedback

Ever since R.D.Middlebrook proposed the state space averaging notion. The small signal model has been widely used as a design tool to tune control parameters. As Moore's law is continuing and the AI chip's high demand for power consumption and dynamic response, the control bandwidth needs to be boosted. However, the average model has two basic assumptions: the low-frequency assumption, the small ripple assumption. In high-bandwidth design, these two assumptions are violated. In order to solve this, various methods have been proposed. This paper gives a comprehensive overview of the existing small signal model for PWM converters from the following perspectives: 1. model fidelity, 2. analytical tractability. 3. complexity of the derivation process and result 4.generality.

GA-S$^3$: Comprehensive Social Network Simulation with Group Agents

Social network simulation is developed to provide a comprehensive understanding of social networks in the real world, which can be leveraged for a wide range of applications such as group behavior emergence, policy optimization, and business strategy development. However, billions of individuals and their evolving interactions involved in social networks pose challenges in accurately reflecting real-world complexities. In this study, we propose a comprehensive Social Network Simulation System (GA-S3) that leverages newly designed Group Agents to make intelligent decisions regarding various online events. Unlike other intelligent agents that represent an individual entity, our group agents model a collection of individuals exhibiting similar behaviors, facilitating the simulation of large-scale network phenomena with complex interactions at a manageable computational cost. Additionally, we have constructed a social network benchmark from 2024 popular online events that contains fine-grained information on Internet traffic variations. The experiment demonstrates that our approach is capable of achieving accurate and highly realistic prediction results. Code is open at https://github.com/AI4SS/GAS-3.

Near-Policy: Accelerating On-Policy Distillation via Asynchronous Generation and Selective Packing

Standard knowledge distillation for autoregressive models often suffers from distribution mismatch. While on-policy methods mitigate this by leveraging student-generated outputs, they rely on computationally expensive Reinforcement Learning (RL) frameworks. To improve efficiency, we propose Near-Policy Distillation (NPD), an asynchronous approach that decouples student generation from training. This reformulation enables Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) with sequence packing. However, asynchronous updates inevitably introduce policy lag and sample noise, which can cause the behavior to drift from near-policy toward off-policy. To counteract this without sacrificing efficiency, NPD integrates sparse student updates and the $Δ$-IFD filtering mechanism, a heuristic sample selection mechanism that empirically stabilizes the optimization trajectory. By filtering extreme out-of-distribution samples, $Δ$-IFD prevents noise from dominating the gradients, ensuring updates remain within a safe proximal learning zone. Empirically, the NPD framework achieves a 8.1x speedup over on-policy baselines and outperforms SFT by 8.09%. Crucially, by effectively narrowing the exploration space for subsequent RL, our method enables openPangu-Embedded-1B to reach a state-of-the-art score of 68.73%, outperforming the substantially larger Qwen3-1.7B. Visual Generation in the New Era: An Evolution from Atomic Mapping to Agentic World Modeling

Recent visual generation models have made major progress in photorealism, typography, instruction following, and interactive editing, yet they still struggle with spatial reasoning, persistent state, long-horizon consistency, and causal understanding. We argue that the field should move beyond appearance synthesis toward intelligent visual generation: plausible visuals grounded in structure, dynamics, domain knowledge, and causal relations. To frame this shift, we introduce a five-level taxonomy: Atomic Generation, Conditional Generation, In-Context Generation, Agentic Generation, and World-Modeling Generation, progressing from passive renderers to interactive, agentic, world-aware generators. We analyze key technical drivers, including flow matching, unified understanding-and-generation models, improved visual representations, post-training, reward modeling, data curation, synthetic data distillation, and sampling acceleration. We further show that current evaluations often overestimate progress by emphasizing perceptual quality while missing structural, temporal, and causal failures. By combining benchmark review, in-the-wild stress tests, and expert-constrained case studies, this roadmap offers a capability-centered lens for understanding, evaluating, and advancing the next generation of intelligent visual generation systems.

GestureHYDRA: Semantic Co-speech Gesture Synthesis via Hybrid Modality Diffusion Transformer and Cascaded-Synchronized Retrieval-Augmented Generation

While increasing attention has been paid to co-speech gesture synthesis, most previous works neglect to investigate hand gestures with explicit and essential semantics. In this paper, we study co-speech gesture generation with an emphasis on specific hand gesture activation, which can deliver more instructional information than common body movements. To achieve this, we first build a high-quality dataset of 3D human body movements including a set of semantically explicit hand gestures that are commonly used by live streamers. Then we present a hybrid-modality gesture generation system GestureHYDRA built upon a hybrid-modality diffusion transformer architecture with novelly designed motion-style injective transformer layers, which enables advanced gesture modeling ability and versatile gesture operations. To guarantee these specific hand gestures can be activated, we introduce a cascaded retrieval-augmented generation strategy built upon a semantic gesture repository annotated for each subject and an adaptive audio-gesture synchronization mechanism, which substantially improves semantic gesture activation and production efficiency. Quantitative and qualitative experiments demonstrate that our proposed approach achieves superior performance over all the counterparts. Agriculture-Vision Challenge 2022 -- The Runner-Up Solution for Agricultural Pattern Recognition via Transformer-based Models

The Agriculture-Vision Challenge in CVPR is one of the most famous and competitive challenges for global researchers to break the boundary between computer vision and agriculture sectors, aiming at agricultural pattern recognition from aerial images. In this paper, we propose our solution to the third Agriculture-Vision Challenge in CVPR 2022. We leverage a data pre-processing scheme and several Transformer-based models as well as data augmentation techniques to achieve a mIoU of 0.582, accomplishing the 2nd place in this challenge.

Few-Shot Head Swapping in the Wild

The head swapping task aims at flawlessly placing a source head onto a target body, which is of great importance to various entertainment scenarios. While face swapping has drawn much attention, the task of head swapping has rarely been explored, particularly under the few-shot setting. It is inherently challenging due to its unique needs in head modeling and background blending. In this paper, we present the Head Swapper (HeSer), which achieves few-shot head swapping in the wild through two delicately designed modules. Firstly, a Head2Head Aligner is devised to holistically migrate pose and expression information from the target to the source head by examining multi-scale information. Secondly, to tackle the challenges of skin color variations and head-background mismatches in the swapping procedure, a Head2Scene Blender is introduced to simultaneously modify facial skin color and fill mismatched gaps in the background around the head. Particularly, seamless blending is achieved with the help of a Semantic-Guided Color Reference Creation procedure and a Blending UNet. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed method produces superior head swapping results in a variety of scenes.

Joint-Modal Label Denoising for Weakly-Supervised Audio-Visual Video Parsing

This paper focuses on the weakly-supervised audio-visual video parsing task, which aims to recognize all events belonging to each modality and localize their temporal boundaries. This task is challenging because only overall labels indicating the video events are provided for training. However, an event might be labeled but not appear in one of the modalities, which results in a modality-specific noisy label problem. In this work, we propose a training strategy to identify and remove modality-specific noisy labels dynamically. It is motivated by two key observations: 1) networks tend to learn clean samples first; and 2) a labeled event would appear in at least one modality. Specifically, we sort the losses of all instances within a mini-batch individually in each modality, and then select noisy samples according to the relationships between intra-modal and inter-modal losses. Besides, we also propose a simple but valid noise ratio estimation method by calculating the proportion of instances whose confidence is below a preset threshold. Our method makes large improvements over the previous state of the arts (e.g. from 60.0\% to 63.8\% in segment-level visual metric), which demonstrates the effectiveness of our approach. Learning Hierarchical Cross-Modal Association for Co-Speech Gesture Generation

Generating speech-consistent body and gesture movements is a long-standing problem in virtual avatar creation. Previous studies often synthesize pose movement in a holistic manner, where poses of all joints are generated simultaneously. Such a straightforward pipeline fails to generate fine-grained co-speech gestures. One observation is that the hierarchical semantics in speech and the hierarchical structures of human gestures can be naturally described into multiple granularities and associated together. To fully utilize the rich connections between speech audio and human gestures, we propose a novel framework named Hierarchical Audio-to-Gesture (HA2G) for co-speech gesture generation. In HA2G, a Hierarchical Audio Learner extracts audio representations across semantic granularities. A Hierarchical Pose Inferer subsequently renders the entire human pose gradually in a hierarchical manner. To enhance the quality of synthesized gestures, we develop a contrastive learning strategy based on audio-text alignment for better audio representations. Extensive experiments and human evaluation demonstrate that the proposed method renders realistic co-speech gestures and outperforms previous methods in a clear margin. MultiEarth 2022 -- The Champion Solution for Image-to-Image Translation Challenge via Generation Models

The MultiEarth 2022 Image-to-Image Translation challenge provides a well-constrained test bed for generating the corresponding RGB Sentinel-2 imagery with the given Sentinel-1 VV & VH imagery. In this challenge, we designed various generation models and found the SPADE [1] and pix2pixHD [2] models could perform our best results. In our self-evaluation, the SPADE-2 model with L1-loss can achieve 0.02194 MAE score and 31.092 PSNR dB. In our final submission, the best model can achieve 0.02795 MAE score ranked No.1 on the leader board.

MultiEarth 2022 -- The Champion Solution for the Matrix Completion Challenge via Multimodal Regression and Generation

Earth observation satellites have been continuously monitoring the earth environment for years at different locations and spectral bands with different modalities. Due to complex satellite sensing conditions (e.g., weather, cloud, atmosphere, orbit), some observations for certain modalities, bands, locations, and times may not be available. The MultiEarth Matrix Completion Challenge in CVPR 2022 [1] provides the multimodal satellite data for addressing such data sparsity challenges with the Amazon Rainforest as the region of interest. This work proposes an adaptive real-time multimodal regression and generation framework and achieves superior performance on unseen test queries in this challenge with an LPIPS of 0.2226, a PSNR of 123.0372, and an SSIM of 0.6347.

SeCo: Separating Unknown Musical Visual Sounds with Consistency Guidance

Recent years have witnessed the success of deep learning on the visual sound separation task. However, existing works follow similar settings where the training and testing datasets share the same musical instrument categories, which to some extent limits the versatility of this task. In this work, we focus on a more general and challenging scenario, namely the separation of unknown musical instruments, where the categories in training and testing phases have no overlap with each other. To tackle this new setting, we propose the Separation-with-Consistency (SeCo) framework, which can accomplish the separation on unknown categories by exploiting the consistency constraints. Furthermore, to capture richer characteristics of the novel melodies, we devise an online matching strategy, which can bring stable enhancements with no cost of extra parameters. Experiments demonstrate that our SeCo framework exhibits strong adaptation ability on the novel musical categories and outperforms the baseline methods by a significant margin.

Semantic-Aware Implicit Neural Audio-Driven Video Portrait Generation

Animating high-fidelity video portrait with speech audio is crucial for virtual reality and digital entertainment. While most previous studies rely on accurate explicit structural information, recent works explore the implicit scene representation of Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) for realistic generation. In order to capture the inconsistent motions as well as the semantic difference between human head and torso, some work models them via two individual sets of NeRF, leading to unnatural results. In this work, we propose Semantic-aware Speaking Portrait NeRF (SSP-NeRF), which creates delicate audio-driven portraits using one unified set of NeRF. The proposed model can handle the detailed local facial semantics and the global head-torso relationship through two semantic-aware modules. Specifically, we first propose a Semantic-Aware Dynamic Ray Sampling module with an additional parsing branch that facilitates audio-driven volume rendering. Moreover, to enable portrait rendering in one unified neural radiance field, a Torso Deformation module is designed to stabilize the large-scale non-rigid torso motions. Shape-invariant 3D Adversarial Point Clouds

Adversary and invisibility are two fundamental but conflict characters of adversarial perturbations. Previous adversarial attacks on 3D point cloud recognition have often been criticized for their noticeable point outliers, since they just involve an "implicit constrain" like global distance loss in the time-consuming optimization to limit the generated noise. While point cloud is a highly structured data format, it is hard to constrain its perturbation with a simple loss or metric properly. In this paper, we propose a novel Point-Cloud Sensitivity Map to boost both the efficiency and imperceptibility of point perturbations. This map reveals the vulnerability of point cloud recognition models when encountering shape-invariant adversarial noises. These noises are designed along the shape surface with an "explicit constrain" instead of extra distance loss. Specifically, we first apply a reversible coordinate transformation on each point of the point cloud input, to reduce one degree of point freedom and limit its movement on the tangent plane. Then we calculate the best attacking direction with the gradients of the transformed point cloud obtained on the white-box model. Finally we assign each point with a non-negative score to construct the sensitivity map, which benefits both white-box adversarial invisibility and black-box query-efficiency extended in our work. Extensive evaluations prove that our method can achieve the superior performance on various point cloud recognition models, with its satisfying adversarial imperceptibility and strong resistance to different point cloud defense settings. STC: Spatio-Temporal Contrastive Learning for Video Instance Segmentation

Video Instance Segmentation (VIS) is a task that simultaneously requires classification, segmentation, and instance association in a video. Recent VIS approaches rely on sophisticated pipelines to achieve this goal, including RoI-related operations or 3D convolutions. In contrast, we present a simple and efficient single-stage VIS framework based on the instance segmentation method CondInst by adding an extra tracking head. To improve instance association accuracy, a novel bi-directional spatio-temporal contrastive learning strategy for tracking embedding across frames is proposed. Moreover, an instance-wise temporal consistency scheme is utilized to produce temporally coherent results. Experiments conducted on the YouTube-VIS-2019, YouTube-VIS-2021, and OVIS-2021 datasets validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method. We hope the proposed framework can serve as a simple and strong alternative for many other instance-level video association tasks.

StyleFaceV: Face Video Generation via Decomposing and Recomposing Pretrained StyleGAN3

Realistic generative face video synthesis has long been a pursuit in both computer vision and graphics community. However, existing face video generation methods tend to produce low-quality frames with drifted facial identities and unnatural movements. To tackle these challenges, we propose a principled framework named StyleFaceV, which produces high-fidelity identity-preserving face videos with vivid movements. Our core insight is to decompose appearance and pose information and recompose them in the latent space of StyleGAN3 to produce stable and dynamic results. Specifically, StyleGAN3 provides strong priors for high-fidelity facial image generation, but the latent space is intrinsically entangled. By carefully examining its latent properties, we propose our decomposition and recomposition designs which allow for the disentangled combination of facial appearance and movements. Moreover, a temporal-dependent model is built upon the decomposed latent features, and samples reasonable sequences of motions that are capable of generating realistic and temporally coherent face videos. Particularly, our pipeline is trained with a joint training strategy on both static images and high-quality video data, which is of higher data efficiency. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our framework achieves state-of-the-art face video generation results both qualitatively and quantitatively. Notably, StyleFaceV is capable of generating realistic $1024\times1024$ face videos even without high-resolution training videos.

Unsplittable Euclidean Capacitated Vehicle Routing: A $(2+ε)$-Approximation Algorithm

In the unsplittable capacitated vehicle routing problem, we are given a metric space with a vertex called depot and a set of vertices called terminals. Each terminal is associated with a positive demand between 0 and 1. The goal is to find a minimum length collection of tours starting and ending at the depot such that the demand of each terminal is covered by a single tour (i.e., the demand cannot be split), and the total demand of the terminals in each tour does not exceed the capacity of 1. Our main result is a polynomial-time $(2+ε)$-approximation algorithm for this problem in the two-dimensional Euclidean plane, i.e., for the special case where the terminals and the depot are associated with points in the Euclidean plane and their distances are defined accordingly. This improves on recent work by Blauth, Traub, and Vygen [IPCO'21] and Friggstad, Mousavi, Rahgoshay, and Salavatipour [IPCO'22].

Visual Sound Localization in the Wild by Cross-Modal Interference Erasing

The task of audio-visual sound source localization has been well studied under constrained scenes, where the audio recordings are clean. However, in real-world scenarios, audios are usually contaminated by off-screen sound and background noise. They will interfere with the procedure of identifying desired sources and building visual-sound connections, making previous studies non-applicable. In this work, we propose the Interference Eraser (IEr) framework, which tackles the problem of audio-visual sound source localization in the wild. The key idea is to eliminate the interference by redefining and carving discriminative audio representations. Specifically, we observe that the previous practice of learning only a single audio representation is insufficient due to the additive nature of audio signals. We thus extend the audio representation with our Audio-Instance-Identifier module, which clearly distinguishes sounding instances when audio signals of different volumes are unevenly mixed. Then we erase the influence of the audible but off-screen sounds and the silent but visible objects by a Cross-modal Referrer module with cross-modality distillation. Quantitative and qualitative evaluations demonstrate that our proposed framework achieves superior results on sound localization tasks, especially under real-world scenarios. Adversarial Examples Detection beyond Image Space

Deep neural networks have been proved that they are vulnerable to adversarial examples, which are generated by adding human-imperceptible perturbations to images. To defend these adversarial examples, various detection based methods have been proposed. However, most of them perform poorly on detecting adversarial examples with extremely slight perturbations. By exploring these adversarial examples, we find that there exists compliance between perturbations and prediction confidence, which guides us to detect few-perturbation attacks from the aspect of prediction confidence. To detect both few-perturbation attacks and large-perturbation attacks, we propose a method beyond image space by a two-stream architecture, in which the image stream focuses on the pixel artifacts and the gradient stream copes with the confidence artifacts. The experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the existing methods under oblivious attacks and is verified effective to defend omniscient attacks as well.

Femtosecond dynamics of a polariton bosonic cascade at room temperature

Whispering gallery modes in a microwire are characterized by a nearly equidistant energy spectrum. In the strong exciton-photon coupling regime, this system represents a bosonic cascade: a ladder of discrete energy levels that sustains stimulated transitions between neighboring steps. In this work, by using femtosecond angle-resolved spectroscopic imaging technique, the ultrafast dynamics of polaritons in a bosonic cascade based on a one-dimensional ZnO whispering gallery microcavity is explicitly visualized. Clear ladder-form build-up process from higher to lower energy branches of the polariton condensates are observed, which are well reproduced by modeling using rate equations. Moreover, the polariton parametric scattering dynamics are distinguished on a timescale of hundreds of femtoseconds. Our understanding of the femtosecond condensation and scattering dynamics paves the way towards ultrafast coherent control of polaritons at room temperature, which will make it promising for high-speed all-optical integrated applications.

Discriminability Distillation in Group Representation Learning

Learning group representation is a commonly concerned issue in tasks where the basic unit is a group, set, or sequence. Previously, the research community tries to tackle it by aggregating the elements in a group based on an indicator either defined by humans such as the quality and saliency, or generated by a black box such as the attention score. This article provides a more essential and explicable view. We claim the most significant indicator to show whether the group representation can be benefited from one of its element is not the quality or an inexplicable score, but the discriminability w.r.t. the model. We explicitly design the discrimiability using embedded class centroids on a proxy set. We show the discrimiability knowledge has good properties that can be distilled by a light-weight distillation network and can be generalized on the unseen target set. The whole procedure is denoted as discriminability distillation learning (DDL). The proposed DDL can be flexibly plugged into many group-based recognition tasks without influencing the original training procedures. Comprehensive experiments on various tasks have proven the effectiveness of DDL for both accuracy and efficiency. Moreover, it pushes forward the state-of-the-art results on these tasks by an impressive margin.

ET-GAN: Cross-Language Emotion Transfer Based on Cycle-Consistent Generative Adversarial Networks

Despite the remarkable progress made in synthesizing emotional speech from text, it is still challenging to provide emotion information to existing speech segments. Previous methods mainly rely on parallel data, and few works have studied the generalization ability for one model to transfer emotion information across different languages. To cope with such problems, we propose an emotion transfer system named ET-GAN, for learning language-independent emotion transfer from one emotion to another without parallel training samples. Based on cycle-consistent generative adversarial network, our method ensures the transfer of only emotion information across speeches with simple loss designs. Besides, we introduce an approach for migrating emotion information across different languages by using transfer learning. The experiment results show that our method can efficiently generate high-quality emotional speech for any given emotion category, without aligned speech pairs.

Mono-b events from single stop production at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC

Top-squarks (stop) play an important role in SUSY naturalness. The stop pair production is considered as the most effective way to search for stop at the LHC. However, the collider signature of stop pair production is usually characterized by $t\bar{t}$ plus missing transverse energy, which is also predicted in many other non-supersymmetric models. On the other hand, the single stop production via the electroweak interaction can provide some distinctive signatures, and thus will help to confirm the existence of the stop. In this paper, we investigate the observability of the mono-$b$ events from the single stop production process $pp \to \tilde t_1 \tildeχ^-_1 \to b+ E\!\!\!\!/_T$ in a simplified MSSM framework where the higgsinos and stops are the only sparticles at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC. We find that the stop mass and the higgsino mass may be probed up to about 1.6 TeV and 550 GeV at $5σ$ level at the HE-LHC with the integrated luminosity ${\cal L} = 15~\text{ab}^{-1}$. We also present the $2σ$ exclusion limits of the stop mass at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC.

Probing a new decay of vector-like top partner mediated by heavy Majorana neutrino via single production

Models beyond the Standard Model have been proposed to simultaneously solve the problems of naturalness and neutrino mass, in which heavy Majorana neutrinos and vector-like top partners are usually predicted. A new decay channel of the top partner mediated by the heavy Majorana neutrino can thus appear: $T\to b\,W^{+}\to b\,\ell^{+}\ell^{+}q\bar{q'}$. We study in this paper the observability of this decay process through single production of the top partner at the 14 TeV LHC: $pp\to T/\bar{T}$+jets$\to b/\bar{b}+μ^{\pm}μ^{\pm}$+jets. $2σ$ exclusion bounds on the top partner mass and mixing parameters are given by Monte-Carlo simulation, which surpass those from the search through VLT pair production in the mass range of $m_{T}>1.3$ TeV.

Probing single stop production at the FCC-hh/SPPC

Top squark (stop) is a crucial part of supersymmetric models (SUSY) to understand the naturalness problem. Other than the traditional stop pair production, the single production via electroweak interaction provides signals with distinctive features which could help confirm the existence of the top squark. In this paper, we investigate the observability of stop through the mono-top channel of the single stop production at the future proton-proton colliders, FCC-hh and SPPC, in a simplified Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). With the integrated luminosity of 3000 $\text{fb}^{-1}$, we can probe the stop with mass up to 3.25 TeV by the mono-top channel at $5σ$ level. Considering the systematic uncertainty of 10%, the exclusion limit for stop mass can be reached at about 1.5 TeV. Exclusion limits on stop mass and higgsino mass parameter $μ$ are also presented.

Rotate-and-Render: Unsupervised Photorealistic Face Rotation from Single-View Images

Though face rotation has achieved rapid progress in recent years, the lack of high-quality paired training data remains a great hurdle for existing methods. The current generative models heavily rely on datasets with multi-view images of the same person. Thus, their generated results are restricted by the scale and domain of the data source. To overcome these challenges, we propose a novel unsupervised framework that can synthesize photo-realistic rotated faces using only single-view image collections in the wild. Our key insight is that rotating faces in the 3D space back and forth, and re-rendering them to the 2D plane can serve as a strong self-supervision. We leverage the recent advances in 3D face modeling and high-resolution GAN to constitute our building blocks. Since the 3D rotation-and-render on faces can be applied to arbitrary angles without losing details, our approach is extremely suitable for in-the-wild scenarios (i.e. no paired data are available), where existing methods fall short. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach has superior synthesis quality as well as identity preservation over the state-of-the-art methods, across a wide range of poses and domains. Furthermore, we validate that our rotate-and-render framework naturally can act as an effective data augmentation engine for boosting modern face recognition systems even on strong baseline models.

Self-supervised Adversarial Training

Recent work has demonstrated that neural networks are vulnerable to adversarial examples. To escape from the predicament, many works try to harden the model in various ways, in which adversarial training is an effective way which learns robust feature representation so as to resist adversarial attacks. Meanwhile, the self-supervised learning aims to learn robust and semantic embedding from data itself. With these views, we introduce self-supervised learning to against adversarial examples in this paper. Specifically, the self-supervised representation coupled with k-Nearest Neighbour is proposed for classification. To further strengthen the defense ability, self-supervised adversarial training is proposed, which maximizes the mutual information between the representations of original examples and the corresponding adversarial examples. Experimental results show that the self-supervised representation outperforms its supervised version in respect of robustness and self-supervised adversarial training can further improve the defense ability efficiently.

Sep-Stereo: Visually Guided Stereophonic Audio Generation by Associating Source Separation

Stereophonic audio is an indispensable ingredient to enhance human auditory experience. Recent research has explored the usage of visual information as guidance to generate binaural or ambisonic audio from mono ones with stereo supervision. However, this fully supervised paradigm suffers from an inherent drawback: the recording of stereophonic audio usually requires delicate devices that are expensive for wide accessibility. To overcome this challenge, we propose to leverage the vastly available mono data to facilitate the generation of stereophonic audio. Our key observation is that the task of visually indicated audio separation also maps independent audios to their corresponding visual positions, which shares a similar objective with stereophonic audio generation. We integrate both stereo generation and source separation into a unified framework, Sep-Stereo, by considering source separation as a particular type of audio spatialization. Specifically, a novel associative pyramid network architecture is carefully designed for audio-visual feature fusion. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our framework can improve the stereophonic audio generation results while performing accurate sound separation with a shared backbone.

Top quark as a probe of heavy Majorana neutrino at the LHC and future collider

Right-handed (RH) Majorana neutrinos play a crucial role in understanding the origin of neutrino mass, the nature of dark matter and the mechanism of matter-antimatter asymmetry. In this work, we investigate the observability of heavy Majorana neutrino through the top quark neutrinoless double beta decay process $t \to b \ell^+ \ell^+ j j$ at hadron colliders. By performing detector level simulation, we demonstrate that our method can give stronger limits on the light-heavy neutrino mixing parameters $|V_{eN, μN}|$ in the mass range of 15 GeV $< m_N <$ 80 GeV than other existing collider bounds.
