Constraining Bianchi Type I Universe With Type Ia Supernova and H(z) Data

We use recent 36 observational Hubble data (OHD) in the redshift range $0.07\leq z\leq 2.36$, latest \textgravedbl joint light curves\textacutedbl (JLA) sample, comprised of 740 type Ia supernovae (SNIa) in the redshift range $0.01\leq z \leq 1.30$, and their joint combination datasets to constrain anisotropic Bianchi type I (BI) dark energy (DE) model. To estimate model parameters, we apply Hamiltonian Monte Carlo technique. We also compute the covariance matrix for BI dark energy model by considering different datasets to compare the correlation between model parameters. To check the acceptability of our fittings, all results are compared with those obtained from 9 year WMAP as well as Planck (2015) collaboration. Our estimations show that at 68\% confidence level the dark energy equation of state (EOS) parameter for OHD or JLA datasets alone varies between quintessence and phantom regions whereas for OHD+JLA dataset this parameter only varies in phantom region. It is also found that the current cosmic anisotropy is of order $\sim10^{-3}$ which imply that the OHD and JLA datasets do not put tight constraint on this parameter. Therefore, to constraint anisotropy parameter, it is necessary to use high redshif dataset namely cosmic microwave background (CMB). Moreover, from the calculation of $p$-value associated with $χ^{2}$ statistic we observed that non of the $ω\mbox{BI}$ and flat $ω\mbox{CDM}$ models rule out by OHD or JLA datasets. The deceleration parameter is obtained as $q=-0.46^{+0.89 +0.36}_{-0.41 -0.37}$, $q=-0.619^{+0.12 +0.20}_{-0.095 -0.24}$, and $q=-0.52^{+0.080 +0.014}_{-0.046 -0.15}$ for OHD, SNIa, and OHD+SNIa data respectively.

A New Class of Bianchi Type-I Cosmological Models in Scalar-Tensor Theory of Gravitation and Late Time Acceleration

A new class of a spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-I cosmological models of the universe for perfect fluid distribution within the framework of scalar-tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Saez and Ballester (Phys. Lett. 113:467, 1986) is investigated. To prevail the deterministic solutions we choose the different scale factors which yield time-dependent deceleration parameters (DP) representing models which generate a transition of the universe from the early decelerated phase to the recent accelerating phase. Three different physically viable models of the universe are obtained in which their anisotropic solutions may enter to some isotropic inflationary era. The modified Einstein's field equations are solved exactly and the models are found to be in good concordance with recent observations. Some physical and geometric properties of the models are also discussed.

Accelerating dark energy models in bianchi Type-V space-time

Some new exact solutions of Einstein's field equations in a spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-V space-time with minimally interaction of perfect fluid and dark energy components have been obtained. To prevail the deterministic solution we choose the scale factor $a(t) = \sqrt{t^{n}e^{t}}$, which yields a time dependent deceleration parameter (DP), representing a model which generates a transition of the universe from the early decelerating phase to the recent accelerating phase. We find that for $n \geq 1$, the quintessence model is reproducible with present and expected future evolution of the universe. The other models (for $n < 1$), we observe the phantom scenario. The quintessence as well as phantom models approach to isotropy at late time. For different values of $n$, we can generate a class of physically viable DE models. The cosmic jerk parameter in our descended model is also found to be in good concordance with the recent data of astrophysical observations under appropriate condition. The physical and geometric properties of spatially homogeneous and anisotropic cosmological models are discussed.

Bianchi Type-I Anisotropic Dark Energy Models with Constant Deceleration Parameter

New dark energy models in anisotropic Bianchi type-I (B-I) space-time with variable EoS parameter and constant deceleration parameter have been investigated in the present paper. The Einstein's field equations have been solved by applying a variation law for generalized Hubble's parameter in B-I space-time. The variation law for Hubble's parameter generates two types of solutions for the average scale factor, one is of power-law type and other is of the exponential form. Using these two forms, Einstein's field equations are solved separately that correspond to expanding singular and non-singular models of the universe respectively. The equation of state (EoS) parameter $ω$ is found to be time dependent and its existing range for this model is in good agreement with the recent observations of SNe Ia data, SNe Ia data (with CMBR anisotropy) and galaxy clustering statistics. The cosmological constant $Λ$ is found to be a decreasing function of time and it approaches a small positive value at late time (i.e. the present epoch) which is corroborated by results from recent supernovae Ia observations.
