Nonuniqueness in law for stochastic hypodissipative Navier-Stokes equations

We study the incompressible hypodissipative Navier-Stokes equations with dissipation exponent $0 < α< \frac{1}{2}$ on the three-dimensional torus perturbed by an additive Wiener noise term and prove the existence of an initial condition for which distinct probabilistic weak solutions exist. To this end, we employ convex integration methods to construct a pathwise probabilistically strong solution, which violates a pathwise energy inequality up to a suitable stopping time. This paper seems to be the first in which such solutions are constructed via Beltrami waves instead of intermittent jets or flows in a stochastic setting.

The Stochastic Tamed MHD Equations -- Existence, Uniqueness and Invariant Measures

We study the tamed magnetohydrodynamics equations, introduced recently in a paper by the author, perturbed by multiplicative Wiener noise of transport type on the whole space $\mathbb{R}^{3}$ and on the torus $\mathbb{T}^{3}$. In a first step, existence of a unique strong solution are established by constructing a weak solution, proving that pathwise uniqueness holds and using the Yamada-Watanabe theorem. We then study the associated Markov semigroup and prove that it has the Feller property. Finally, existence of an invariant measure of the equation is shown for the case of the torus.

The Tamed MHD Equations

We study a regularised version of the magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) equations, the tamed MHD (TMHD) equations. They are a model for the flow of electrically conducting fluids through porous media. We prove existence and uniqueness of TMHD on the whole space $\mathbb{R}^{3}$, that smooth data give rise to smooth solutions, and show that solutions to TMHD converge to a suitable weak solution of the MHD equations as the taming parameter $N$ tends to infinity. Furthermore, we adapt a regularity result for the Navier-Stokes equations to the MHD case.

Random attractors for locally monotone stochastic partial differential equations

We prove the existence of random dynamical systems and random attractors for a large class of locally monotone stochastic partial differential equations perturbed by additive Lévy noise. The main result is applicable to various types of SPDE such as stochastic Burgers type equations, stochastic 2D Navier-Stokes equations, the stochastic 3D Leray-$α$ model, stochastic power law fluids, the stochastic Ladyzhenskaya model, stochastic Cahn-Hilliard type equations, stochastic Kuramoto-Sivashinsky type equations, stochastic porous media equations and stochastic $p$-Laplace equations.

Hypercyclic operators on countably dimensional spaces

According to Grivaux, the group $GL(X)$ of invertible linear operators on a separable infinite dimensional Banach space $X$ acts transitively on the set $Σ(X)$ of countable dense linearly independent subsets of $X$. As a consequence, each $A\in Σ(X)$ is an orbit of a hypercyclic operator on $X$. Furthermore, every countably dimensional normed space supports a hypercyclic operator. We show that for a separable infinite dimensional Fréchet space $X$, $GL(X)$ acts transitively on $Σ(X)$ if and only if $X$ possesses a continuous norm. We also prove that every countably dimensional metrizable locally convex space supports a hypercyclic operator.
