Constructions of Delaunay-type solutions for the spinorial Yamabe equation on spheres

In this paper we construct singular solutions to the critical Dirac equation on spheres. More precisely, first we construct solutions admitting two points singularities that we call Delaunay-type solutions because of their similarities with the Delaunay solutions constructed for the singular Yamabe problem in \cite{MP1 , Schoen1989}. Then we construct another kind of singular solutions admitting a great circle as a singular set. These solutions are the building blocks for singular solutions on a general Spin manifold.

Compactness of Dirac-Einstein spin manifolds and horizontal deformations

In this paper we consider the Hilbert-Einstein-Dirac functional, whose critical points are pairs, metrics-spinors, that satisfy a system coupling the Riemannian and the spinorial part. Under some assumptions, on the sign of the scalar curvature and the diameter, we prove a compactness result for this class of pairs, in dimension three and four. This can be seen as the equivalent of the study of compactness of sequences of Einstein manifolds as in \cite{And0,N}. Indeed, we study the compactness of sequences of critical points of the Hilbert-Einstein-Dirac functional which is an extension of the Hilbert-Einstein functional having Einstein manifolds as critical points. Moreover we will study the second variation of the energy, characterizing the horizontal deformations for which the second variation vanishes. Finally we will exhibit some explicit examples.

Some properties of Dirac-Einstein bubbles

We prove smoothness and provide the asymptotic behavior at infinity of solutions of Dirac-Einstein equations on $\mathbb{R}^3$, which appear in the bubbling analysis of conformal Dirac-Einstein equations on spin 3-manifolds. Moreover, we classify ground state solutions, proving that the scalar part is given by Aubin-Talenti functions, while the spinorial part is the conformal image of $-\frac{1}{2}$-Killing spinors on the round sphere $\mathbb{S}^3$.

Functional Determinant on Pseudo-Einstein 3-manifolds

Given a three dimensional pseudo-Einstein CR manifold $(M,T^{1,0}M,θ)$, we establish an expression for the difference of determinants of the Paneitz type operators $A_θ$, related to the problem of prescribing the $Q'$-curvature, under the conformal change $θ\mapsto e^{w}θ$ with $w\in ¶$ the space of pluriharmonic functions. This generalizes the expression of the functional determinant in four dimensional Riemannian manifolds established in \cite{BO2}. We also provide an existence result of maximizers for the scaling invariant functional determinant as in \cite{CY}.

Logarithmic Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev Inequality on Pseudo-Einstein 3-manifolds and the Logarithmic Robin Mass

Given a three dimensional pseudo-Einstein CR manifold $(M,T^{1,0}M,θ)$, we study the existence of a contact structure conformal to $θ$ for which the logarithmic Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev (LHLS) inequality holds. Our approach closely follows \cite{Ok1} in the Riemannian setting. For this purpose, we introduce the notion of Robin mass as the constant term appearing in the expansion of the Green's function of the $P'$-operator. We show that the LHLS inequality appears when we study the variation of the total mass under conformal change. Then we exhibit an Aubin type result guaranteeing the existence of a minimizer for the total mass which yields the classical LHLS inequality.

Blow-up behaviour of a fractional Adams-Moser-Trudinger type inequality in odd dimension

Given a smoothly bounded domain $Ω\Subset\mathbb{R}^n$ with $n\ge 1$ odd, we study the blow-up of bounded sequences $(u_k)\subset H^\frac{n}{2}_{00}(Ω)$ of solutions to the non-local equation $$(-Δ)^\frac n2 u_k=λ_k u_ke^{\frac n2 u_k^2}\quad \text{in }Ω,$$ where $λ_k\toλ_\infty \in [0,\infty)$, and $H^{\frac n2}_{00}(Ω)$ denotes the Lions-Magenes spaces of functions $u\in L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)$ which are supported in $Ω$ and with $(-Δ)^\frac{n}{4}u\in L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)$. Extending previous works of Druet, Robert-Struwe and the second author, we show that if the sequence $(u_k)$ is not bounded in $L^\infty(Ω)$, a suitably rescaled subsequence $η_k$ converges to the function $η_0(x)=\log\left(\frac{2}{1+|x|^2}\right)$, which solves the prescribed non-local $Q$-curvature equation $$(-Δ)^\frac n2 η=(n-1)!e^{nη}\quad \text{in }\mathbb{R}^n$$ recently studied by Da Lio-Martinazzi-Rivière when $n=1$, Jin-Maalaoui-Martinazzi-Xiong when $n=3$, and Hyder when $n\ge 5$ is odd. We infer that blow-up can occur only if $Λ:=\limsup_{k\to \infty}\|(-Δ)^\frac n4 u_k\|_{L^2}^2\ge Λ_1:= (n-1)!|S^n|$.

Existence and asymptotics for solutions of a non-local Q-curvature equation in dimension three

We study conformal metrics on $R^3$, i.e., metrics of the form $g_u=e^{2u}|dx|^2$, which have constant $Q$-curvature and finite volume. This is equivalent to studying the non-local equation $$ (-Δ)^\frac32 u = 2 e^{3u}$$ in $R^3$ $$V:=\int_{\mathbb{R}^3}e^{3u}dx<\infty,$$ where $V$ is the volume of $g_u$. Adapting a technique of A. Chang and W-X. Chen to the non-local framework, we show the existence of a large class of such metrics, particularly for $V\le 2π^2=|S^3|$. Inspired by previous works of C-S. Lin and L. Martinazzi, who treated the analogue cases in even dimensions, we classify such metrics based on their behavior at infinity.
