Supersymmetric quantum spin chains and classical integrable systems

For integrable inhomogeneous supersymmetric spin chains (generalized graded magnets) constructed employing Y(gl(N|M))-invariant R-matrices in finite-dimensional representations we introduce the master T-operator which is a sort of generating function for the family of commuting quantum transfer matrices. Any eigenvalue of the master T-operator is the tau-function of the classical mKP hierarchy. It is a polynomial in the spectral parameter which is identified with the 0-th time of the hierarchy. This implies a remarkable relation between the quantum supersymmetric spin chains and classical many-body integrable systems of particles of the Ruijsenaars-Schneider type. As an outcome, we obtain a system of algebraic equations for the spectrum of the spin chain Hamiltonians.

The master T-operator for the Gaudin model and the KP hierarchy

Following the approach of [arXiv:1112.3310], we construct the master T -operator for the quantum Gaudin model with twisted boundary conditions and show that it satisfies the bilinear identity and Hirota equations for the classical KP hierarchy. We also characterize the class of solutions to the KP hierarchy that correspond to eigenvalues of the master T-operator and study dynamics of their zeros as functions of the spectral parameter. This implies a remarkable connection between the quantum Gaudin model and the classical Calogero-Moser system of particles.

Wronskian solutions of the T, Q and Y-systems related to infinite dimensional unitarizable modules of the general linear superalgebra gl(M|N)

In [Z.Tsuboi, Nucl. Phys. B 826 (2010) 399 [arXiv:0906.2039]], we proposed Wronskian-like solutions of the T-system for [M,N]-hook of the general linear superalgebra gl(M|N). We have generalized these Wronskian-like solutions to the ones for the general T-hook, which is a union of [M1,N1]-hook and [M2,N2]-hook (M=M1+M1, N=N1+N2). These solutions are related to Weyl-type supercharacter formulas of infinite dimensional unitarizable modules of gl(M|N). Our solutions also include a Wronskian-like solution discussed in [N.Gromov, V.Kazakov, S.Leurent, Z.Tsuboi, JHEP 1101 (2011) 155 [arXiv:1010.2720]] in relation to the AdS5/CFT4 spectral problem.

Baxter's Q-operators and operatorial Backlund flow for quantum (super)-spin chains

We propose the operatorial form of Baxter's TQ-relations in a general form of the operatorial Bäcklund flow describing the nesting process for the inhomogeneous rational gl(K|M) quantum (super)spin chains with twisted periodic boundary conditions. The full set of Q-operators and T-operators on all levels of nesting is explicitly defined. The results are based on a generalization of the identities among the group characters and their group co-derivatives with respect to the twist matrix, found by one of the authors and P.Vieira [V.Kazakov and P.Vieira, JHEP 0810 (2008) 050 [arXiv:0711.2470]]. Our formalism, based on this new "master" identity, allows a systematic and rather straightforward derivation of the whole set of nested Bethe ansatz equations for the spectrum of quantum integrable spin chains, starting from the R-matrix.

Classical tau-function for quantum spin chains

For an arbitrary generalized quantum integrable spin chain we introduce a "master T -operator" which represents a generating function for commuting quantum transfer matrices constructed by means of the fusion procedure in the auxiliary space. We show that the functional relations for the transfer matrices are equivalent to an infinite set of model-independent bilinear equations of the Hirota form for the master T -operator, which allows one to identify it with τ-function of an integrable hierarchy of classical soliton equations. In this paper we consider spin chains with rational GL(N)-invariant R-matrices but the result is independent of a particular functional form of the transfer matrices and directly applies to quantum integrable models with more general (trigonometric and elliptic) R-matrices and to supersymmetric spin chains.

PSU(2,2|4) Character of Quasiclassical AdS/CFT

We solve the recently proposed T- and Y-systems (Hirota equation) for the exact spectrum of AdS/CFT in the strong coupling scaling limit for an arbitrary quasiclassical string state. The corresponding T-functions appear to be super-characters of the SU(2,2|4) group in unitary representations with a highest weight, with the classical AdS5xS5 superstring monodromy matrix as the group element. We propose a concise first Weyl-type formula for these characters and show that they correctly reproduce the results of quasiclassical one-loop quantization in all sectors of the superstring, under some natural assumptions. We also speculate about possible relation between the T-functions and the quantum monodromy matrix.

Solutions of the T-system and Baxter equations for supersymmetric spin chains

We propose Wronskian-like determinant formulae for the Baxter Q-functions and the eigenvalues of transfer matrices for spin chains related to the quantum affine superalgebra U_{q}(hat{gl}(M|N)). In contrast to the supersymmetric Bazhanov-Reshetikhin formula (the quantum supersymmetric Jacobi-Trudi formula) proposed in [Z. Tsuboi, J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 30 (1997) 7975], the size of the matrices of these Wronskian-like formulae is less than or equal to M+N. Base on these formulae, we give new expressions of the solutions of the T-system (fusion relations for transfer matrices) for supersymmetric spin chains proposed in the abovementioned paper. Baxter equations also follow from the Wronskian-like formulae. They are finite order linear difference equations with respect to the Baxter Q-functions. Moreover, the Wronskian-like formulae also explicitly solve the functional relations for Backlund flows proposed in [V. Kazakov, A. Sorin, A. Zabrodin, Nucl. Phys. B790 (2008) 345 [arXiv:hep-th/0703147]].

T-system and thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equations for solvable lattice models associated with superalgebras

An analytic Bethe ansatz is carried out related to the Lie superalgebra osp(1|2s). We present an eigenvalue formula of a transfer matrix in dressed vacuum form (DVF) labeled by a Young (super) diagram. Remarkable duality among DVFs is found. A complete set of transfer matrix functional relations (T-system) is proposed as a reduction of a Hirota-Miwa equation. We also derive a thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA) equation from this T-system and the quantum transfer matrix method. This TBA equation is identical to the one from the string hypothesis.

Wronskian Solution for AdS/CFT Y-system

Using the discrete Hirota integrability we find the general solution of the full quantum Y-system for the spectrum of anomalous dimensions of operators in the planar AdS5/CFT4 correspondence in terms of Wronskian-like determinants parameterized by a finite number of Baxter's Q-functions. We consider it as a useful step towards the construction of a finite system of non-linear integral equations (FiNLIE) for the full spectrum. The explicit asymptotic form of all the Q-functions for the large size operators is presented. We establish the symmetries and the analyticity properties of the asymptotic Q-functions and discuss their possible generalization to any finite size operators.

A note on the high temperature expansion of the density matrix for the isotropic Heisenberg chain

Göhmann, Klümper and Seel derived the multiple integral formula of the density matrix of the $XXZ$ Heisenberg chain at finite temperatures. We have applied the high temperature expansion (HTE) method to isotropic case of their formula in a finite magnetic field and obtained coefficients for several short-range correlation functions. For example, we have succeeded to obtain the coefficients of the HTE of the 3rd neighbor correlation function $<σ_{j}^{z}σ_{j+3}^{z}>$ for zero magnetic field up to the order of 25. These results expand our previous results on the emptiness formation probability [Z.Tsuboi, M.Shiroishi, J. Phys.A: Math. Gen. 38(2005) L363; cond-mat/0502569] to more general correlation functions.

A note on the osp(1|2s) thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equation

A Bethe ansatz equation associated with the Lie superalgebra osp(1|2s) is studied. A thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA) equation is derived by the string hypothesis. The high temperature limit of the entropy density is expressed in terms of the solution of the osp(1|2s) version of the Q-system. In particular for fundamental representation case, we also derive a TBA equation from the osp(1|2s) version of the T-system and the quantum transfer matrix method. This TBA equation is identical to the one from the string hypothesis. The central charge is expressed by the Rogers dilogarithmic function, and identified to s.
