Hysteresis and compensation behaviors of spin-1 hexagonal Ising nanowire

An effective-field theory with correlations has been used to study the hysteresis, susceptibility and compensation behaviors of the spin-1 hexagonal Ising nanowire (HIN) with core-shell structure. The effects of the temperature, crystal field, core-shell interfacial coupling and shell surface coupling are investigated on hysteresis and compensation behaviors, in detail. When the core-shell interfacial coupling is weak, the double and triple hysteresis loops can be seen in the system. The hysteresis loops have different coercive field points that the susceptibility make peak at these points. Moreover, we observed that the system displays the Q-, R-, S-, P-, N- and W-types of compensation behaviors according to Neél classification nomenclature. Finally, the obtaining results are compared with some experimental and theoretical results and found a good agreement.

Magnetic properties of spin-3/2 hexagonal Ising nanowire

Magnetic properties, such as magnetizations, internal energy, specific heat, entropy, Helmholtz free energy and phase diagrams of the spin-3/2 Blume-Capel model on hexagonal Ising nanowire (HIN) with core-shell structure are studied by utilizing the effective-field theory (EFT) with correlations. Moreover, the hysteresis behaviors of the system are also investigated and the effects of Hamiltonian parameters on hysteresis behaviors are discussed, in detail. Finally, the obtained results are compared with some experimental and theoretical results and a qualitatively good agreement is found.

Mixed spin (1/2-1) hexagonal Ising nanowire: some dynamic behaviors

The dynamic behaviors of a mixed spin (1/2-1) hexagonal Ising nanowire (HIN) with core-shell structure in the presence of a time dependent magnetic field are investigated by using the effective-field theory with correlations based on the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics (DEFT). According to the values of interaction parameters, temperature dependence of the dynamic magnetizations, the hysteresis loop areas and the dynamic correlations are investigated to characterize the nature (first- or second-order) of the dynamic phase transitions (DPTs). Dynamic phase diagrams, including compensation points, are also obtained. Moreover, from the thermal variations of the dynamic total magnetization, the five compensation types can be found under certain conditions, namely the Q-, R-, S-, P-, and N-types.

Thermodynamic and magnetic properties of the hexagonal type Ising nanowire

The thermodynamic and magnetic properties of the mixed spin (1/2-1) hexagonal Ising nanowire (HIN) system with core-shell structure have been presented by means of the effective-field theory (EFT) with correlations. The effects of the physical parameters of the system on thermodynmaic and magnetic properties (magnetizations, susceptibilities, internal energies, and free energies and hysteresis curves) are investigated for both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic case, in detail. One can find that when the temperature increases the hysteresis loop areas decrease and the hysteresis loops disappear at above critical temperature. Moreover, different hysteresis loop behaviors have been observed such as single, double and triple hysteresis loops in the system. In order to confirm the accuracy of the phase transition points, we also investigate the free energy of the system.

An effective-field theory study of hexagonal Ising nanowire: Thermal and magnetic properties

By means of the effective-field theory (EFT) with correlations, the thermodynamic and magnetic quantities such as magnetization, susceptibility, internal energy, free energy, hysteresis curves and compensation behaviors of the spin-1/2 hexagonal Ising nanowire (HIN) system with core/shell structure have been presented. The hysteresis curves are obtained for different values of the system parameters on both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic case. It has been shown that the system only undergoes a second-order phase transition. Moreover, from the thermal variations of the total magnetization, the five compensation types can be found under certain conditions, namely the Q-, R-, S-, P-, and N-types.

Dynamic behaviors of the hexagonal Ising nanowire

By utilizing the effective-field theory based on the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics, the dynamic behaviors of the hexagonal Ising nanowire (HIN) system in the presence of a time dependent magnetic field are obtained. The time variations of average order parameters and the thermal behavior of the dynamic order parameters are studied to analyze the nature of transitions and to obtain the dynamic phase transition points. The dynamic phase diagrams are introduced in the plane of the reduced temperature versus magnetic field amplitude. The dynamic phase diagrams exhibit coexistence phase region, several ordered phases and critical point as well as a reentrant behavior.

Phase diagrams of a cylindrical spin-1 ising nanowire within the presence of the crystal field and the transverse field

Within the framework of the effective-field theory (EFT) with correlations, the phase diagrams of a cylindrical spin-1 Ising nanowire is investigated, depending on the ratio of the Hamiltonian parameters. We discuss in detail the influence of interfacial coupling, crystal field and transfer field ratio on the phase diagrams, and some characteristic phenomena have been found such as tricritical point and first-order transitions.

Topology of the correlation networks among major currencies using hierarchical structure methods

We studied the topology of correlation networks among 34 major currencies using the concept of a minimal spanning tree and hierarchical tree for the full years of 2007-2008 when major economic turbulence occurred. We used the USD (US Dollar) and the TL (Turkish Lira) as numeraires in which the USD was the major currency and the TL was the minor currency. We derived a hierarchical organization and constructed minimal spanning trees (MSTs) and hierarchical trees (HTs) for the full years of 2007, 2008 and for the 2007-2008 periods. We performed a technique to associate a value of reliability to the links of MSTs and HTs by using bootstrap replicas of data. We also used the average linkage cluster analysis for obtaining the hierarchical trees in the case of the TL as the numeraire. These trees are useful tools for understanding and detecting the global structure, taxonomy and hierarchy in financial data. We illustrated how the minimal spanning trees and their related hierarchical trees developed over a period of time. From these trees we identified different clusters of currencies according to their proximity and economic ties. The clustered structure of the currencies and the key currency in each cluster were obtained and we found that the clusters matched nicely with the geographical regions of corresponding countries in the world such as Asia or Europe. As expected the key currencies were generally those showing major economic activity.
