Vector Bundles on Flag varieties

We study vector bundles on flag varieties over an algebraically closed field $k$. In the first part, we suppose $G=G_k(d,n)$ $(2\le d\leq n-d)$ to be the Grassmannian manifold parameterizing linear subspaces of dimension $d$ in $k^n$, where $k$ is an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>0$. Let $E$ be a uniform vector bundle over $G$ of rank $r\le d$. We show that $E$ is either a direct sum of line bundles or a twist of a pull back of the universal bundle $H_d$ or its dual $H_d^{\vee}$ by a series of absolute Frobenius maps. In the second part, splitting properties of vector bundles on general flag varieties $F(d_1,\cdots,d_s)$ in characteristic zero are considered. We prove a structure theorem for bundles over flag varieties which are uniform with respect to the $i$-th component of the manifold of lines in $F(d_1,\cdots,d_s)$. Furthermore, we generalize the Grauert-M$\ddot{\text{u}}$lich-Barth theorem to flag varieties. As a corollary, we show that any strongly uniform $i$-semistable $(1\le i\le n-1)$ bundle over the complete flag variety splits as a direct sum of special line bundles.

Vector Bundles on Rational Homogeneous Spaces

We consider a uniform $r$-bundle $E$ on a complex rational homogeneous space $X$ %over complex number field $\mathbb{C}$ and show that if $E$ is poly-uniform with respect to all the special families of lines and the rank $r$ is less than or equal to some number that depends only on $X$, then $E$ is either a direct sum of line bundles or $δ_i$-unstable for some $δ_i$. So we partially answer a problem posted by Muñoz-Occhetta-Solá Conde. In particular, if $X$ is a generalized Grassmannian $\mathcal{G}$ and the rank $r$ is less than or equal to some number that depends only on $X$, then $E$ splits as a direct sum of line bundles. We improve the main theorem of Muñoz-Occhetta-Solá Conde when $X$ is a generalized Grassmannian by considering the Chow rings. Moreover, by calculating the relative tangent bundles between two rational homogeneous spaces, we give explicit bounds for the generalized Grauert-Mülich-Barth theorem on rational homogeneous spaces.

Finite-dimensional Hopf algebras over the Hopf algebra $H_{b:1}$ of Kashina

Let $H$ be the 16-dimensional nontrivial (namely, noncommutative and noncocommutative) semisimple Hopf algebra $H_{b:1}$ appeared in Kashina's work \cite{K00}. We obtain all simple Yetter-Drinfeld modules over $H$ and then determine all finite-dimensional Nichols algebras satisfying $\mathcal{B}(V)\cong \bigotimes_{i\in I}\mathcal{B}(V_i)$, where $V=\bigoplus_{i\in I}V_i$, each $V_i$ is a simple object in $_H^H\mathcal{YD}$. Finally, we describe all liftings of those $\mathcal{B}(V)$ over $H$.

Superconductivity in an organometallic compound

Organometallic compounds constitute a very large group of substances that contain at least one metal-to-carbon bond in which the carbon is part of an organic group. They have played a major role in the development of the science of chemistry. These compounds are used to a large extent as catalysts (substances that increase the rate of reactions without themselves being consumed) and as intermediates in the laboratory and in industry. Recently, novel quantum phenormena such as topological insulators and superconductors were also suggested in these materials. However, there has been no report on the experimental exploration for the topological state. Evidence for superconductivity from the zero-resistivity state in any organometallic compound has not been achieved yet, though much efforts have been devoted. Here we report the experimental realization of superconductivity with the critical temperature of 3.6 K in a potassium-doped organometallic compound, $ i.e.$ tri-$o$-tolylbismuthine with the evidence of both the Meissner effect and the zero-resistivity state through the $dc$ and $ac$ magnetic susceptibility and resistivity measurements. The obtained superconducting parameters classify this compound as a type-II superconductor. The benzene ring is identified to be the essential superconducting unit in such a phenyl organometallic compound. The superconducting phase and its composition are determined by the combined studies of the X-ray diffraction and theoretical calculations as well as the Raman spectroscopy measurements. These findings enrich the applications of organometallic compounds in superconductivity and add a new electron-acceptor family for organic superconductors. This work also points to a large pool for finding superconductors from organometallic compounds.

A new trace bilinear form on cyclic $\mathbb{F}_q$-linear $\mathbb{F}_{q^t}$-codes

Let $\mathbb{F}_q$ be a finite field of cardinality $q$, where $q$ is a power of a prime number $p$, $t\geq 2$ an even number satisfying $t \not\equiv 1 \;(\bmod \;p)$ and $\mathbb{F}_{q^t}$ an extension field of $\mathbb{F}_q$ with degree $t$. First, a new trace bilinear form on $\mathbb{F}_{q^t}^n$ which is called $Δ$-bilinear form is given, where $n$ is a positive integer coprime to $q$. Then according to this new trace bilinear form, bases and enumeration of cyclic $Δ$-self-orthogonal and cyclic $Δ$-self-dual $\mathbb{F}_q$-linear $\mathbb{F}_{q^t}$-codes are investigated when $t=2$. Furthermore, some good $\mathbb{F}_q$-linear $\mathbb{F}_{q^2}$-codes are obtained.

Hall algebras and quantum groups associated to Dynkin quivers

For Dynkin quivers, we find the Laurent polynomials $\widetilde{X}_{a, c}^{b}(v)$ and use $\widetilde{X}_{a, c}^{b}(v)$ to construct the Hall algebra $\hc_v(\cc(\cp))$ over $\mz[v, v^{-1}]$, where $\widetilde{X}_{a, c}^{b}(|\mf_q|)$'s are structure constants used by Bridgeland. The Laurent polynomials $\widetilde{X}_{a, c}^{b}(v)$ are explicitly given in $A_1$ case. As an application, we obtain the full quantum groups $U_t(\sg)$ associated to the Dynkin quivers for arbitrary $t\not=0,\pm1$.

On abelian canonical n-folds of general type

Let $X$ be a Gorenstein minimal projective $n$-fold with at worst locally factorial terminal singularities, and suppose that the canonical map of $X$ is generically finite onto its image. When $n<4$, the canonical degree is universally bounded. While the possibility of obtaining a universal bound on the canonical degree of $X$ for $n \geqslant 4$ may be inaccessible, we give a uniform upper bound for the degrees of certain abelian covers. In particular, we show that if the canonical divisor $K_X$ defines an abelian cover over $\mathbb{P}^n$, i.e., when $X$ is an \emph{abelian canonical $n$-fold}, then the canonical degree of $X$ is universally upper bounded by a constant which only depends on $n$ for $X$ non-singular. We also construct two examples of non-singular minimal projective $4$-folds of general type with canonical degrees $81$ and $128$.

On higher dimensional complex Plateau problem

Let $X$ be a compact connected strongly pseudoconvex $CR$ manifold of real dimension $2n-1$ in $\mathbb{C}^{N}$. It has been an interesting question to find an intrinsic smoothness criteria for the complex Plateau problem. For $n\ge 3$ and $N=n+1$, Yau found a necessary and sufficient condition for the interior regularity of the Harvey-Lawson solution to the complex Plateau problem by means of Kohn--Rossi cohomology groups on $X$ in 1981. For $n=2$ and $N\ge n+1$, the first and third authors introduced a new CR invariant $g^{(1,1)}(X)$ of $X$. The vanishing of this invariant will give the interior regularity of the Harvey-Lawson solution up to normalization. For $n\ge 3$ and $N>n+1$, the problem still remains open. In this paper, we generalize the invariant $g^{(1,1)}(X)$ to higher dimension as $g^{(Λ^n 1)}(X)$ and show that if $g^{(Λ^n 1)}(X)=0$, then the interior has at most finite number of rational singularities. In particular, if $X$ is Calabi--Yau of real dimension $5$, then the vanishing of this invariant is equivalent to give the interior regularity up to normalization.

On the canonical degrees of Gorenstein threefolds of general type

Let $X$ be a Gorenstein minimal projective $3$-fold with at worst locally factorial terminal singularities. Suppose that the canonical map is generically finite onto its image. C. Hacon showed that the canonical degree is universally bounded by $576$. We improved Hacon's universal bound to $360$. Moreover, we gave all the possible canonical degrees of $X$ if $X$ is an abelian cover over $\mathbb{P}^3$ and constructed all the examples with these canonical degrees.

Finite-dimensional representations for a class of generalized intersection matrix Lie algebras

In this paper, we study a class of generalized intersection matrix Lie algebras $\gim(M_n)$, and prove that its every finite-dimensional semi-simple quotient is of type $M(n,{\bf a}, {\bf c},{\bf d})$. Particularly, any finite dimensional irreducible $\gim(M_n)$ module must be an irreducible module of $M(n,{\bf a}, {\bf c},{\bf d})$ and any finite dimensional irreducible $M(n,{\bf a}, {\bf c},{\bf d})$ module must be an irreducible module of $\gim(M_n)$.

On Linear Codes over $\mathbb{Z}_4+v\mathbb{Z}_4$

Linear codes are considered over the ring $\mathbb{Z}_4+v\mathbb{Z}_4$, where $v^2=v$. Gray weight, Gray maps for linear codes are defined and MacWilliams identity for the Gray weight enumerator is given. Self-dual codes, construction of Euclidean isodual codes, unimodular complex lattices, MDS codes and MGDS codes over $\mathbb{Z}_4+v\mathbb{Z}_4$ are studied. Cyclic codes and quadratic residue codes are also considered. Finally, some examples for illustrating the main work are given.

Realizations of BC_r graded intersection matrix algebras with grading subalgebras of type B_r, $r \geq 3$

We study intersection matrix algebras im(A^d) that arise from affinizing a Cartan matrix A of type B_r with d arbitrary long roots in the root system $Δ_{B_r}$, where $r \geq 3$. We show that im(A^d) is isomorphic to the universal covering algebra of $so_{2r+1}(a,η,C,χ)$, where $a$ is an associative algebra with involution $η$, and $C$ is an $a$-module with hermitian form $χ$. We provide a description of all four of the components $a$, $η$, $C$, and $χ$.

Drinfel'd Doubles and Lusztig's Symmetries of Two-Parameter Quantum Groups

We find the defining structures of two-parameter quantum groups $U_{r,s}(\frak g)$ corresponding to the orthogonal and the symplectic Lie algebras, which are realized as Drinfel'd doubles. We further investigate the environment conditions upon which the Lusztig's symmetries exist between $(U_{r,s}(\frak g), < ,>)$ and its associated object $(U_{s^{-1}, r^{-1}}(\frak g), < | >)$.

Representations of Two-parameter Quantum Orthogonal and Symplectic Groups

We investigate the finite-dimensional representation theory of two-parameter quantum orthogonal and symplectic groups that we found in [BGH] under the assumption that $rs^{-1}$ is not a root of unity and extend some results [BW1, BW2] obtained for type $A$ to types $B$, $C$ and $D$. We construct the corresponding $R$-matrices and the quantum Casimir operators, by which we prove that the complete reducibility Theorem also holds for the categories of finite-dimensional weight modules for types $B$, $C$, $D$.

$U_q(\hat{\frak{gl}}_{{}_N})$ action on $\hat{\frak{gl}}_{{}_N}$ -modules and quantum toroidal algebras

We construct a vertex representation for the quantum toroidal algebra through the quantum general linear algebra. Using a new realization of the quantum general linear algebra we construct vertex operators for root vectors on the basic representation of the affine Lie algebra $gl_n$ and show that the simple generators give rise a realization of the quantum toroidal algebra with two parameters.
