A scheme for neutrino mass generation through modified Higgs mechanism

We propose a new method for neutrino mass generation through a modified Higgs mechanism by introducing an additional tiny vacuum breaking to the charged Higgs field. With identical particle spectrum as standard electroweak model, this modified Higgs mechanism endows the lepton-Higgs Yukawa coupling Lagrangian with a modified lepton mass matrix. Inserting the latest data of particle experiments into this modified lepton mass matrix enable us to locate the value of the newly introduced parameter parametrizing the extra perturbative Higgs vacuum breaking and produce masses for neutrinos of three generations. We reach a sum of three-generation neutrino massess at: $Σ_{(ν)} ~ m_ν \approx 0.104078 ~eV$. This prediction is supported by the result of the latest cosmological observation, i.e. the 95\% C.L. upper bound $Σ_{(ν)} ~ m_ν < 0.176 ~eV$ determined by the Planck data. In our proposal of the modified Higgs mechanism, the Higgs vacua break twice, such that, the very minuteness of the extra Higgs vacuum breaking explains the origin of the very minuteness of neutrino masses, while the relative greatness of the standard Higgs vacuum breaking is recognized as the origin of the relative greatness of charged lepton masses. This proposal can bring rich new physics to Higgs-relevant problems in particle physics, besides the massive neutrino problems.

Geometric unification theory of the grand unification and gravitational interactions and new physics

This paper discovers geometric unification theory of the grand unification and gravitational interactions and their new physics according to the general fiber bundle theory, symmetry and so on. Consequently, the research of this paper is based on the exact scientific bases of mathematics and physics. The Lagrangians of the grand unification and gravitational interactions are unifiedly deduced from quantitative causal principle (QCP) and satisfy the gauge invariant principle of general gauge fields interacting with Fermion and/or boson fields. The geometry and physics meanings of gauge invariant property of different physical systems are revealed, and it is discovered that all the Lagrangians of the four fundamental physics interactions are composed of the invariant quantities in corresponding spacetime structures. The difficulties that fundamental physics interactions and Noether theorem are not able to be unifiedly given and investigated are overcome, the geometric unification theory and origins of the four fundamental physics interactions and Noether theorem are shown by QCP, their two-order general Euler-Lagrange Equations and corresponding Noether conservation currents are derived in general curved spacetime. This paper further deduces QCP from symmetric principle. Consequently, geometric unification theory of the grand unification and gravitation theories and Noether theorem based on symmetric principle and the new physics are given in this paper. This paper further gives the unification of QCP and symmetric principle. Thus, this paper opens a door to both study and give new developments of geometric unification theory of physics laws, and using the new geometric unification theory, a lot of research works about different branches of physics can be anew done and expressed simpler with different symmetric characters.

Bouncing universe with modified dispersion relation

In this paper, employing the modified dispersion relation, we have derived the general modified Friedmann equations and the corresponding modified entropy relations for the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) Universe. In this setup, we find that when the big bounce happens, its energy scale and its corresponding modified entropy behavior are sensitive to the value of $k$. In contrast to the previous work with $k=0$, our work mainly demonstrates that the bouncing behavior for the closed Universe with $k=1$ appears at the normal energy limit of the modified dispersion relation introduced, and when bouncing phenomenon is in presence, its modified entropy is just equal to zero. Surprisingly, when $k=-1$, the bouncing behavior is in absence.

Constraining the Existence of Magnetic Monopoles by Dirac-Dual Electric Charge Renormalization Effect Under the Planck Scale Limit

It was suggested by dimensional analysis that there exists a limit called the Planck energy scale coming close to which the gravitational effects of physical processes would inflate and struggle for equal rights so as to spoil the validity of pure non-gravitational physical theories that governed well below the Planck energy. Near the Planck scale, the Planck charges, Planck currents, or Planck parameters can be defined and assigned to physical quantities such as the single particle electric charge and magnetic charge as the ceiling value obeyed by the low energy ordinary physics. The Dirac electric-magnetic charge quantization relation as one form of electric-magnetic duality dictates that, the present low value electric charge corresponds to a huge magnetic charge value already passed the Planck limit so as to render theories of magnetic monopoles into the strong coupling regime, and vice versa, that small and tractable magnetic charge values correspond to huge electric charge values. It suggests that for theoretic models in which the renormalization group equation provides rapid growth for the running electric coupling constant, it is easier for the dual magnetic monopoles to emerge at lower energy scales. Allowing charges to vary with the Dirac electric-magnetic charge quantization relation while keeping values under the Planck limit informs that the magnetic charge value drops below the Planck ceiling value into the manageable region when the electric coupling constant grows to one fourth at a model dependent energy scale, and continues dropping towards half the value of the Planck magnetic charge as the electric coupling constant continues growing at the model dependent rate towards one near Planck energy scale.

Counting similarities between tetraquark and mesonic/gluonic operators

After the study of the preclusion of exotic meson states in large-$N_c$ limit QCD, combining Weinberg's opposite proposal, we get different counting orders for a tetraquark operator to create or destroy an one-tetraquark state. Meanwhile, by comparing tetraquark operator with the mesonic and gluonic operators, we find that tetraquark operators are similar with mesonic and gluonic operators in the counting. Furthermore, we find a mixing of different kinds of operators.

Fluid/gravity correspondence for massive gravity

In this paper, we investigate the fluid/gravity correspondence in the framework of massive Einstein gravity. Treating the gravitational mass terms as an effective energy-momentum tensor and utilizing the Petrov-like boundary condition on a timelike hypersurface, we find that the perturbation effects of massive gravity in bulk can be completely governed by the incompressible Navier-Stokes equation living on the cutoff surface under the near horizon and nonrelativistic limits. Furthermore, we have concisely computed the ratio of dynamical viscosity to entropy density for two massive Einstein gravity theories, and found that they still saturate the Kovtun-Son-Starinets (KSS) bound.

General intrinsic theory of general large $N_{c}$ QCD, SU(3) QCD, SU(2) hadron-dynamics and U(1) QED gauge field theories in general field theory and progress towards solving the nucleon spin crisis

This paper gives general intrinsic theory of general large $N_{c}$ QCD, SU(3) QCD, SU(2) hadron-dynamics and U(1) QED gauge field theories in general field theory and progress towards solving the nucleon spin crisis, i.e., presents general large $N_{c}$ QCD's inner structures, gauge invariant angular momenta and new corresponding Coulomb theorem in quark-gluon field interaction systems based on general field theory, and naturally deduces the gauge invariant spin and orbital angular momentum operators of quark and gauge fields with $SU(N_{c})$ gauge symmetry by Noether theorem in general field theory. In the general large $N_{c}$ QCD, we discover not only the general covariant transverse and parallel conditions ( namely, non-Abelian divergence and curl ), but also that this general system has good intrinsic symmetry characteristics. Specially, this paper's generally decomposing gauge potential theory presents a new technique, it should play a votal role in future physics research. Therefore, this paper breakthroughs the some huge difficulties in the nucleon spin crisis and opens a door of researching on lots of strong interacting systems with different symmetric properties, which is popularly interesting, and keeps both the gauge invariance and their angular momentum commutation relations so that their theories are consistent. Especially, the achieved results here can be utilized to calculate the general QCD strong interactions and to give the precise predictions that can be exactly measured by current particle physics experiments due to their gauge invariant properties etc.

Some New Symmetric Relations and the Prediction of Left and Right Handed Neutrino Masses using Koide's Relation

Masses of the three generations of charged leptons are known to completely satisfy the Koide's mass relation. But the question remains if such a relation exists for neutrinos? In this paper, by considering SeeSaw mechanism as the mechanism generating tiny neutrino masses, we show how neutrinos satisfy the Koide's mass relation, on the basis of which we systematically give exact values of not only left but also right handed neutrino masses.

Entropy spectrum of the apparent horizon of Vaidya black holes via adiabatic invariance

The spectroscopy of the apparent horizon of Vaidya black holes is investigated via adiabatic invariance. We obtain an equally spaced entropy spectrum with its quantum equal to the one given by Bekenstein. We demonstrate that the quantization of entropy and area is a generic property of horizon, not only for stationary black holes, and the results also exit in a dynamical black hole. Our work also shows that the quantization of black hole is closely related to Hawking temperature, which is an interesting thing.

Kerr Black string flow

We give a general theory of a rotated black string stream into a rotational horizon in dimension D=5. It is a configuration about one smooth intersection between these two objects when the spacetime is axisymmetric and in the limit that the thickness of the black hole is much larger than the thickness of the black string. Following this configuration we extend to a more general situation, the rotational charged flows.

Revisiting the tunneling spectrum and information recovery of a general charged and rotating black hole

In this paper we revisit the tunneling spectrum of a charged and rotating black hole--Kerr-Newman black hole by using Parikh and Wilczek's tunneling method and get the most general result compared with the works [9, 10]. We find an ambiguity in Parikh and Wilczek's tunneling method, and give a reasonable description. We use this general spectrum to discuss the information recovery based on the Refs. [11-13]. For the tunneling spectrum we obtained, there exit correlations between sequential Hawking radiations, information can be carried out by such correlations, and the entropy is conserved during the radiation process. So we resolve the information loss paradox based on the methods [11-13] in the most general case.

Spectroscopy of a weakly isolated horizon

The spectroscopy of a weakly isolated horizon (WIH) has been investigated. We obtain an equally spaced entropy spectrum with its quantum equal to the one given by Bekenstein [5]. We demonstrate that the quantization of entropy and area is a generic property of horizon, and the results exit in a wide class of spacetimes admitting weakly isolated horizons. Our results also indicate that the entropy quantum of the black hole horizon is closely related to Hawking temperature.

Symmetry of Generalized Randall-Sundrum Model and Distribution of 3-Branes in Six-Dimensional Spacetime

A generalization from the usual $5$-dimensional two-brane Randall-Sundrum (RS) model to a $6$-dimensional multi-brane RS model is presented. The extra dimensions are extended from one to two; correspondingly the single-variable warp function is generalized to be a double-variable function, to represent the two extra dimensions. In the analysis of the Einstein equation we have two remarkable discoveries. One is that, when branes are absent, the cosmological parameter distributed in the two extra dimensions acts as a function describing a family of circles. These circles are not artificially added ones but stem from the equations of motion, while their radii are inversely proportional to the square root of the cosmological parameter. The other discovery is that, on any circle, there symmetrically distribute four branes. Their tensions, $V_1 \sim V_4$, satisfy a particular relationship $V_1=V_3=-V_2=-V_4=3M^4$, where $M$ is the $6$-dimensional fundamental scale of the RS model.

The cosmology in f(R,T) gravity without dark energy

We examine the evolution of universe in $f(R,T)$ gravity where $R$ is the Ricci curvature and $T$ is the trace of energy momentum tensor. We focus on the specific form $f(R,T) = R+f(T)$ and explicitly find out the relation between $f(T)$ and state of equation $w$ by adiabatic condition. All possible modes of evolution of the scale factor for the five kinds of state of equation, $w= \pm 1, \pm 1/3, 0$ are exhibited. We simulate numerically the plots of redshift versus distance modulus for three interesting modes and then obtain the good fitting curve compared with the astronomical observation data.

Thermodynamic fluctuation in black string flow

It has long been noticed that Laudau-Lifshitz theory can be used to study the fluctuation of a system that contains a black hole. Since the black string can be constructed by extending n-dimensional black hole into one extra dimension. We study the fluctuation of black string flow with a Schwarzschlid-like metric in D=n+1 dimensional spacetime and a charged solution in D=5 dimensional spacetime and get the second moments of the fluctuation of the mass flux and charge flux.

Variable Extra Dimensional Spacetime and Solution to Initial Singularity Paradox of Our Universe From Extra Dimensions

Considering a n-dimensional general spacetime, we deduce its 4-dimensional Einstein equation and Friedman equations, and discover a general dual relation between the scale factor $a(t)$ of our universe and the scale factor $B(t)$ of extra dimensions. Based on the dual relation equation, predictions of shrinking of extra dimensions and free of singularity problem of our universe are given. Therefore, solution to initial singularity paradox of our universe is achieved. Because the dual relation is general, this Letter discovers that it is just the extra dimensional shrinking contribution that results in our universe's expanding in terms of the dual relation in the bulk space, and actually the dual relation is deduced doesn't depend on the 4-dimensional matter concrete Lagrangian, these are key important for a lot of future relative investigations.

Extra Dimensions, Dual Relation and the Cosmological Constant

We consider a general n dimensional manifold, which is a direct product manifold of $M^4 \times M^{n-4}$ representing our universe and extra spatial dimensions. From Einstein-Hilbert action of the manifold, we deduce effective 4 dimensional Fridemann equations. Matching it with the normal Fridemann equations with the cosmological constant, we give an expression of the cosmological constant, and the expression under different conditions are discussed. Also according to a deduced relation, we reveal a connection between Hubble parameter and extra dimensions. In this regard, we take into account all possible states of extra dimension which are consistent with current experimental result as well.

Gas Model of Gravitons with Light Speed

We first review some aspects of gravitational wave and the thermodynamic expression of Einstein field equations, these achieved conclusions allow people to think of Einstein's gravitational wave as a kind of sound wave in ordinary gas which propagates as an adiabatic compression wave. In the following, using the properties of photon gas in "white wall box", we find an analogous relationship between ordinary gas and photon gas through sound velocity formula. At last, by taking the ordinary gas as an intermediary, we find that gravitational wave is analogous to photon gas, or equally, gravitons are analogous to photons although they are different in some ways such as spins and coupling strengths, and these different properties don't affect their propagation speeds. Utilizing this analogous relationship, we achieve the gas model of gravitons and this model naturally gives out the light speed of gravitons

Recovering information of tunneling spectrum from Weakly Isolated Horizon

In this paper we investigate the properties of tunneling spectrum from weakly isolated horizon(WIH). We find that there are correlations among Hawking radiations from weakly isolated horizon, the information can be carried out in terms of correlations between sequential emissions, and the radiation is an entropy conservation process. We generalize Refs.[11-13]' results to a more general spacetime. Through revisiting the calculation of tunneling spectrum of weakly isolated horizon, we find that Ref.[12]'s requirement that radiating particles have the same angular momenta of unit mass as that of black hole is not needed, and the energy and angular momenta of emitting particles are very arbitrary which should be restricted only by keeping the cosmic censorship of black hole.

$f(T)$ gravity from holographic Ricci dark energy model with new boundary conditions

Commonly used boundary conditions in reconstructing $f(T)$ gravity from holographic Ricci dark energy model (RDE) are found to cause some problem, we therefore propose new boundary conditions in this paper. By reconstructing $f(T)$ gravity from the RDE with these new boundary conditions, we show that the new ones are better than the present commonly used ones since they can give the physically expected information, which is lost when the commonly used ones are taken in the reconstruction, of the resulting $f(T)$ theory. Thus, the new boundary conditions proposed here are more suitable for the reconstruction of $f(T)$ gravity.

$f(T)$ theories from holographic dark energy models

We reconstruct $f(T)$ theories from three different holographic dark energy models in different time durations. For the HDE model, the dark energy dominated era with new setting up is chosen for reconstruction, and the radiation dominated era is chosen when the involved model changes into NADE. For the RDE model, radiation, matter and dark energy dominated time durations are all investigated. We also investigate the limitation which prevents an arbitrary choice of the time duration for reconstruction in HDE and NADE, and find that an improved boundary condition is needed for a more precise reconstruction of $f(T)$ theory.

A modified variational principle for gravity in modified Weyl geometry

The usual interpretation of Weyl geometry is modified in two senses. First, both the additive Weyl connection and its variation are treated as (1, 2) tensors under the action of Weyl covariant derivative. Second, a modified covariant derivative operator is introduced which still preserves the tensor structure of the theory. With its help, the Riemann tensor in Weyl geometry can be written in a more compact form. We justify this modification in detail from several aspects and obtain some insights along the way. By introducing some new transformation rules for the variation of tensors under the action of Weyl covariant derivative, we find a Weyl version of Palatini identity for Riemann tensor. To derive the energy-momentum tensor and equations of motion for gravity in Weyl geometry, one naturally applies this identity at first, and then converts the variation of additive Weyl connection to those of metric tensor and Weyl gauge field. We also discuss possible connections to the current literature on Weyl-invariant extension of massive gravity and the variational principles in f(R) gravity.

Entropic corrections and modified Friedmann equations in the emergence of cosmic space

In the emergent cosmic space scenario recently proposed by Padmanabhan, the expansion of the universe is attributed to the difference between the number of degrees of freedom on a holographic surface and the one in the bulk. Based on this idea, we explore the cases where logarithmic and power-law entropic corrections are present, respectively. The previously found modified Friedmann equations are reproduced through an improved proposal, and we show that the same results can be obtained using a generalized expansion law.

Harrison metrics for the Schwarzschild black hole

Based on the hidden conformal symmetry, some authors have proposed a Harrison metric for the Schwarzschild black hole. We give a procedure which can generate a family of Harrison metrics starting from a general set of SL(2, R) vector fields. By analogy with the subtracted geometry of the Kerr black hole, we find a new Harrison metric for the Schwarzschild case. Its conformal generators are also investigated using the Killing equations in the near-horizon limit.

Quantum Radiation Properties of Dirac Particles in General Nonstationary Black Holes

Quantum radiation properties of Dirac particles in general nonstationary black holes in the general case is investigated by both using the method of generalized tortoise coordinate transformation and considering the asymptotic behaviors of both the first and second order forms of Dirac equations near the event horizon. It is generally shown that the temperature and shape of event horizon of this kind of black holes depend on both the time and different angles. Further, we give a general expression of the new extra coupling effect in thermal radiation spectrum of Dirac particles which is missing in that of scalar particles. Also, we reveal a relationship that is ignored before between thermal radiation and non-thermal radiation in the case of scalar particles, which is that the chemical potential in thermal radiation spectrum is equal to the highest energy of the negative energy state of scalar particles in non-thermal radiation for general nonstationary black holes.

General Invariant Velocity Originated from Principle of Special Relativity and Triple Special Theories of Relativity

This Letter, i.e. for the first time, proves that a general invariant velocity is originated from the principle of special relativity, namely, discovers the origin of the general invariant velocity, and when the general invariant velocity is taken as the invariant light velocity in current theories, we get the corresponding special theory of relativity. Further, this Letter deduces triple special theories of relativity in cosmology, and cancels the invariant presumption of light velocity, it is proved that there exists a general constant velocity K determined by the experiments in cosmology, for K > 0, = 0 and < 0, they correspond to three kinds of possible relativistic theories in which the special theory of relativity is naturally contained for the special case of K > 0, and this Letter gives a prediction that, for K < 0, there is another likely case satisfying the principle of special relativity for some special physical systems in cosmology, in which the relativistic effects observed would be that the moving body would be lengthened, moving clock would be quickened. And the point of K = 0 is a bifurcation point, through which it gives out three types of possible universes in the cosmology (or multiverse). When a kind of matter with the maximally invariant velocity that may be superluminal or equal to light velocity is determined by experiments, then the invariant velocity can be taken as one of the general invariant velocity achieved in this Letter, then all results of current physical theories are consistent by utilizing this Letter's theory.

Hidden conformal symmetry of extremal Kaluza-Klein black hole in four dimensions

We study the hidden conformal symmetry of four-dimensional extremal Kaluza-Klein black hole. The scalar Laplacian corresponding to the radial equation in the near-region is rewritten in terms of the $SL(2,\mathbb R)$ quadratic Casimir. Using the first law of black hole thermodynamics, this symmetry enables us to obtain the conjugate charges for the CFT side. The real-time correlators are also found to agree with the CFT expectations.

Thermodynamics of nonspherical black holes from Liouville theory

A Liouville formalism was proposed many years ago to account for the black hole entropy. It was recently updated to connect thermodynamics of general black holes, in particular the Hawking temperature, to two-dimensional Liouville theory. This relies on the dimensional reduction to two-dimensional black hole metric. The relevant dilaton gravity model can be rewritten as a Liouville-like theory. We refine the method and give general formulas for the corresponding scalar and energy-momentum tensors in Liouville theory. This enables us to read off the black hole temperature using a relation which was found about three decades ago. Then the range of application is extended to include nonspherical black holes such as neutral and charged black rings, topological black hole and the case coupled to a scalar field. As for the entropy, following previous authors, we invoke the Lagrangian approach to central charge by Cadoni and then use the Cardy formula. The general relevant parameters are also given. This approach is more advantageous than the usual Hamiltonian approach which was used by the old Liouville formalism for black hole entropy.

Quantum Radiation of General Nonstationary Black Holes

This paper has been withdrawn by the authors. Quantum radiative characteristics of 4D semi-classical nonstationary black holes in the general case are investigated by using the method of generalized tortoise coordinate transformation. It is generally shown that the temperature and the shape of the event horizon of this kind of black holes depend on both the time and different angles. Further, we discover that there is a certain relationship that is ignored before between thermal radiation and non-thermal radiation of black holes, which is that the chemical potential in thermal radiation spectrum is equal to the highest energy of the negative energy state of particles in non-thermal radiation for 4D semi-classical nonstationary black holes. Also, we show that the deduced general results can be applied to different concrete conditions.

Faddeev-Jackiw Quantization of the Gauge Invariant Self-dual Fields Relative to String Theory

We obtain a new symplectic Lagrangian density and deduce Faddeev-Jackiw (FJ) generalized brackets of the gauge invariant self-dual fields interacting with gauge fields. We further give FJ quantization of this system. Furthermore, the FJ method is compared with Dirac method, the results show the two methods are equivalent in the quantization of this system. And by the practical research in this letter, it can be found that the FJ method is really simpler than the Dirac method, namely, the FJ method obviates the need to distinguish primary and secondary constraints and first- and second-class constraints. Therefore, the FJ method is a more economical and effective method of quantization.
