Λc+(2940)Λ_{c}^{+}(2940) photoproduction off the neutron

By assuming that the Λc∗(2940)Λ_{c}^{\ast }(2940) is a pD∗0pD^{\ast 0} molecular state with spin-parity JP=12+J^{P}=\frac{1}{2}^{+} and JP=12−J^{P}=\frac{1}{2}^{-}, the photoproduction of charmed Λc∗(2940)Λ_{c}^{\ast }(2940) baryon in the γn→D−Λc∗(2940)+γn\rightarrow D^{-}Λ_{c}^{\ast }(2940)^{+} process is investigated with an effective Lagrangian approach. It is found that the contributions from tt-channel with D∗D^{\ast } exchange are dominant, while the ss-channel with nucleon pole exchange give a sizeable contribution around the threshold. The contributions from the uu-channel and contact term are very small. The total cross section of the γn→D−Λc∗(2940)+γn\rightarrow D^{-}Λ_{c}^{\ast }(2940)^{+} reaction is estimated, which indicate it is feasible to searching for the charmed Λc∗(2940)Λ_{c}^{\ast }(2940) baryon at the COMPASS experiment.

Discovery potential for the neutral charmoniumlike Z0(4200)Z^{0}(4200) by pˉp\bar{p}p annihilation

Inspired by the observation of charmoniumlike Z(4200)Z(4200), we explore the discovery potential of the neutral Z0(4200)Z^{0}(4200) production by antiproton-proton annihilation with an effective Lagrangian approach. By investigating the pˉp→J/ψπ0\bar{p}p\rightarrow J/ψπ^{0} process including the Z0(4200)Z^{0}(4200) signal and background contributions, it is found that the center of mass energy Ec.m.≃4.0−4.5E_{c.m.}\simeq 4.0-4.5 GeV is the best energy window for searching the neutral Z0(4200)Z^{0}(4200), where the signal can be clearly distinguished from background. The relevant calculations is not only helpful to search for the neutral Z0(4200)Z^{0}(4200) in the future experiment, but also will promote the understanding the nature and production mechanism of neutral Z0(4200)Z^{0}(4200) better.

Neutral hidden charm pentaquark states Pc0(4380)P_c^0(4380) and Pc0(4450)P_c^0(4450) in π−p→J/ψnπ^-p \to J/ψn reaction

We investigate the neutral hidden charm pentaquark states Pc0(4380)P_c^0(4380) and Pc0(4450)P_c^0(4450) in π−p→J/ψnπ^-p \to J/ψn reaction within an effective Lagrangian approach. The background contributions for the process mainly come from tt-channel ππ and ρρ meson exchanges. The contributions of Pc0(4380)P_c^0(4380) and Pc0(4450)P_c^0(4450) states give clear peak structures in the magnitude of 1 μμb at center of mass energy 4.38 GeV and 4.45 GeV in the total cross sections. Hence, this reaction may provide a new good platform to search for neutral PcP_c states. It is expected that our estimated total cross sections together with the angular distributions can be tested by future experiments at J-PARC.

Nucleon resonances in the γp→ϕK+Λγp \to ϕK^+ Λ reaction near threshold

We investigate the γp→ϕK+Λγp \to ϕK^+ Λ reaction near threshold within an effective Lagrangian approach and the isobar model. Various nucleon resonances caused by the ππ and ηη meson exchanges and background contributions are considered. It is shown that the contribution from the N∗(1535)N^*(1535) resonance caused by the ηη meson exchange plays the predominant role. Hence, this reaction provides a good new platform to study the N∗(1535)N^*(1535) resonance. The predicted total cross section and specific features of angular distributions can be tested by future experiments.

Nucleon resonances in the π−p→K0Λπ^- p \to K^0 Λ reaction near threshold

We investigate the two-body reaction π−p→K0Λπ^- p \to K^{0} Λ within the effective Lagrangian approach and the isobar model. In addition to the "background" contributions from tt-channel K∗K^* exchange, uu-channel Σ(1192)Σ(1192) and Σ∗(1385)Σ^*(1385) exchanges, and ss-channel nucleon pole terms, the contributions from the nucleon resonances N∗(1535)N^*(1535), N∗(1650)N^*(1650), and N∗(1720)N^*(1720) are investigated. It is shown that the inclusion of these nucleon resonances contributions leads to a good description of the experimental total and differential cross sections data at low energy region. The ss-channel N∗(1535)N^*(1535), N∗(1650)N^*(1650), and N∗(1720)N^*(1720) resonances and the tt-channel K∗K^* exchange give the dominant contributions below W=1.76W = 1.76 GeV, while the uu-channel Σ(1192)Σ(1192) and Σ∗(1385)Σ^*(1385) exchanges give the minor contributions.

Photoproduction of the charged charmoniumlike Zc+(4200)Z_{c}^{+}(4200)

In this work, inspired by the observation of charmoniumlike Zc+(4200)Z_{c}^{+}(4200)% , we study the photoproduction of charged charmoniumlike Zc+(4200)Z_{c}^{+}(4200) with an effective Lagrangian approach and the Regge trajectories model. The numerical results indicate that the Reggeized treatment can lead to a lower total cross section of the Zc+(4200)Z_{c}^{+}(4200) photoproduction and the peak position of cross section was moved to the higher energy point when the Reggeized treatment was added. {Moreover, using the data from the COMPASS experiment and presented theoretical predictions, an upper limit of the decay width of Zc(4200)→J/ψπZ_{c}(4200)\rightarrow J/ψπ is estimated.} The relevant results not only shed light on the further experiment of searching for the charmoniumlike Zc(4200)Z_{c}(4200) state via meson photoproduction, but also provide valuable informations for having a better comprehension of the nature of charmoniumlike Zc(4200)Z_{c}(4200) state.

Production of the superheavy baryon Λccˉ∗(4209)Λ_{c\bar{c}}^{\ast}(4209) in kaon-induced reaction

The production of superheavy Λccˉ∗(4209)Λ_{c\bar{c}}^{\ast }(4209) baryon in the K−p→ηcΛK^{-}p\rightarrow η_{c}Λ process via ss-channel is investigated with an effective Lagrangian approach and the isobar model. Moreover, the tt-channel with K∗K^{\ast } and uu-channel with nucleon exchange are also considered, which are regarded as the background for the Λccˉ∗(4209)Λ_{c\bar{c}}^{\ast }(4209) production in the K−p→ηcΛK^{-}p\rightarrow η_{c}Λ reaction. The numerical results indicate it is feasible to searching for the superheavy Λccˉ∗(4209)Λ_{c\bar{c}}^{\ast }(4209) via K−pK^{-}p scattering. These theoretical results not only provide valuable informations to future experimental exploration of Λccˉ∗(4209)Λ_{c\bar{c}}^{\ast }(4209) resonance but enable us to have a better understanding of the exotic baryons.

Reexamination of the role of the Δ∗Δ^{\ast} resonances in the pp→nK+Σ+pp\rightarrow nK^{+}Σ^{+} reaction

In this work, the role of the Δ∗Δ^{\ast } resonances in the process of pp→nK+Σ+pp\rightarrow nK^{+}Σ^{+} are systematically investigated with the effective Lagrangian approach and the isobar model. We find that a P31P_{31} state, either Δ∗(1750)Δ^{\ast }(1750) or Δ∗(1910)Δ^{\ast }(1910), is favored by the data while the P33P_{33} state, namely Δ∗(1920)Δ^{\ast }(1920), has small contribution. Besides, either sub-threshold S31S_{31} Δ∗(1620)Δ^{\ast }(1620) resonance or strong nΣnΣ final state interaction or both have possible contribution at near threshold region, depending on the measured cross sections. We demonstrate the invariant mass distributions and the Dalitz Plots in order to investigate whether it is possible to distinguish the controversial KΣKΣ production mechanism in these observables.

Theoretical investigation of the decay of the N(2120)N(2120) resonance to nucleon resonances near 1.7 GeV

Background: Until now the knowledge about nucleon resonances with a mass higher than 2 GeV has been scarce. Huge amounts of experimental data of the multipion photoproduction have been accumulated, and more can be expected in the future in facilities such as JLab 12 GeV. It makes it possible to investigate the decay of a nucleon resonance into another nucleon resonance. Purpose: The possibility to research the decay of the N(2120)N(2120) to nucleon resonances near 1.7 GeV in the three-pion photoproduction will be explored to provide useful information for future experimental study. Method: The pion and radiative decay amplitudes of nucleon resonances are studied within the constituent quark model, which is used to calculate the couplings constants, especially for the decay of a nucleon resonance near 2.1 GeV to another nucleon resonance near 1.7 GeV. The three-pion photoproduction off the neutron target, i.e.,γn→π−π−Δ++→π−π−π+pγn \toπ^{-}π^{-}Δ^{++}\to π^{-}π^{-}π^+ p, is investigated based on the effective Lagrangian method with the coupling constant obtained form the decay amplitudes. Results: The resonance contribution with a state N(2PM)32−N(^2P_M)\frac{3}{2}^{-} near 2.1 GeV decaying to a state N(4PM)52−N(^4P_M)\frac{5}{2}^{-} near 1.7 GeV, i.\ e., N(2120)→N(1675)πN(2120)\to N(1675)π is dominant in the process considered. The total cross section from the resonance contribution is at the order of 1 μμb and can be easily distinguished from the background. Conclusions: Our results suggest it is practicable to research the decay of the N(2120)N(2120) to the N(1675)N(1675) in experiment.

Discovery potential of hidden charm baryon resonances via photoproduction

In this work, we study the possibility to find Nccˉ∗N^*_{c\bar{c}} and Λccˉ∗Λ^*_{c\bar{c}} resonances with hidden charm with mass above 4 GeV in the photon-induced production. The cross sections for the photoproductions of hidden charmed baryons are predicted in the effective Lagrangian approach with the vector meson dominance mechanism. The N∗(4412)N^*(4412) can be produced directly by photon excitation with total cross section about 1 nb. The N∗(4412)N^*(4412) provides a obvious peak near threshold for J/ψJ/ψ photoproduction, which is promising to be checked by the future high precision experiment at JLab 12 GeV. The results will be helpful to the experimental search for the hidden-charmed baryon resonances in the coming experiment at JLab 12 GeV, such as SoLID, and the proposed electron-ion colliders at FAIR and HIAF.

The pˉp→ϕϕ\bar{p} p \to ϕϕ reaction in an effective Lagrangian approach

We investigate the pˉp→ϕϕ\bar{p} p \to ϕϕ reaction within an effective Lagrangian approach. We show that the inclusion of either a scalar meson f0f_0 or a tensor meson f2f_2 in the ss-channel can lead to a fairly good description of the bump structure of the total cross section around the invariant pˉp\bar{p} p mass W≃2.2W \simeq 2.2 GeV, which cannot be reproduced with only the "background" contributions from tt- and uu-channel N∗(1535)N^*(1535) resonance as studied in a previous work. From the fits, we infer the properties of the involved scalar or tensor resonances.

The γp→na2+(1320)→nρ0π+γp \to n a^+_2(1320) \to n ρ^0 π^+ reactions within an effective Lagrangian approach

We investigate the a2(1320)a_2(1320) meson photon production in the γp→na2+(1320)γp \to n a^+_2(1320) and γp→nρ0π+γp \to n ρ^0 π^+ reactions within the effective Lagrangian method. For γp→na2+(1320)γp \to n a^+_2(1320) reaction, by considering the contributions only from the t−t-channel π+π^+ exchange, we get a fairly good description of the current experimental total cross section data. We also studied the γp→nρ0π+γp \to n ρ^0 π^+ reaction, which mainly contribute to the γp→nπ+π+π−γp \to n π^+ π^+ π^- reaction. The latter reaction has measured by the CLAS Collaboration. The total cross sections, invariant mass distribution, and the Dalitz Plot of γp→nρ0π+γp \to n ρ^0 π^+ reaction are shown, which can be tested by future experiments.

The roles of nucleon resonances in ΛΛ(1520) photoproduciton off proton

In this work the roles of the nucleon resonances in the ΛΛ(1520) photoproduction off proton target are investigated within the effective Lagrangian method. Besides the Born terms, including contact term, ss-, uu- and KK exchanged tt-channels, vector meson K∗K^* exchanged t−t-channel is considered in our investigation, which is negligible at low energy and important at high energy. The important nucleon resonances predicted by the constituent quark model (CQM) are considered and the results are found well comparable with the experimental data. Besides the dominant D13(2080)D_{13}(2080), the resonance [52−]2(2080)[\textstyle{5\over 2}^-]_2(2080) predicted by the CQM is found important to reproduce the experimental data. Other nucleon resonances are found to give small contributions in the channel considered in this work. With all important nucleon resonances predicted by CQM, the prediction of the differential cross section at the energy up to 5.5 GeV are presented also, which can be checked by the future CLAS experimental data.
