TTC: Transformer-based TDE Classifier for the Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST)

We propose the Transformer-based Tidal disruption events (TDE) Classifier (\texttt{TTC}), specifically designed to operate effectively with both real-time alert streams and archival data of the Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST). It aims to minimize the reliance on external catalogs and find TDE candidates from pure light curves, which is more suitable for finding TDEs in faint and distant galaxies. \texttt{TTC} consists of two key modules that can work independently: (1) A light curve parametric fitting module and (2) a Transformer (\texttt{Mgformer})-based classification network. The training of the latter module and evaluation for each module utilize a light curve dataset of 7413 spectroscopically classified transients from the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF). The \texttt{Mgformer}-based module is superior in performance and flexibility. Its representative recall and precision values are 0.79 and 0.76, respectively, and can be modified by adjusting the threshold. It can also efficiently find TDE candidates within 30 days from the first detection. For comparison, the parametric fitting module yields values of 0.72 and 0.40, respectively, while it is $>$10 times faster in average speed. Hence, the setup of modules allows a trade-off between performance and time, as well as precision and recall. \texttt{TTC} has successfully picked out all spectroscopically identified TDEs among ZTF transients in a real-time classification test, and selected $\sim$20 TDE candidates in the deep field survey data of WFST. The discovery rate will greatly increase once the differential database for the wide field survey is ready.

Ultrahigh-Energy Gamma-ray Emission Associated with Black Hole-Jet Systems

Black holes (BH), one of the most intriguing objects in the universe, can manifest themselves through electromagnetic radiation initiated by the accretion flow. Some stellar-mass BHs drive relativistic jets when accreting matter from their companion stars, forming microquasars. Non-thermal emission from the radio to tera-electronvolt (TeV) gamma-ray band has been observed from microquasars, indicating the acceleration of relativistic particles. Here we report detection of four microquasars (SS 433, V4641 Sgr, GRS 1915+105, MAXI J1820+070) of spectrum extending to the ultrahigh-energy (UHE; photon energy $E>100$ TeV) band and one microquasar (Cygnus X-1) of spectrum approaching 100 TeV, using the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO). Notably, the total emission associated with SS 433 cannot be interpreted with a single leptonic component. In the UHE band, its emission is in spatial coincidence with a giant atomic cloud, which is consistent with a hadronic origin. An elongated source is discovered from V4641 Sgr with the spectrum continuing up to 800 TeV. The detection of UHE gamma rays demonstrates that accreting BHs and their environments can operate as extremely efficient accelerators of particles out of 1 peta-electronvolt (PeV), suggesting microquasars to be important contributors to Galactic cosmic rays especially around the `knee' region.

General Chaotic Behaviors of Heavy ion Collisions at Intermediate Energy Based on Dynamical Transport Model

Motivated to explore the dynamical mechanism of multi-fragmentation phase transition and expand our knowledge on the deterministic chaos in nonlinear dynamic process, we study systematically the nonlinear dynamical behaviors of heavy ion collisions at intermediate energy. In order to highlight the general characteristics of the collision dynamics, in the present paper, we simulate a simple collision system, $Ca+Ca$, and obverse the performances of the typical nonlinear characteristic quantities such as the production of generalized entropy and the fractal structure of the semiclassical phase space during the reaction process. The multifragmentation entropy, information dimension and the dynamical fluctuations of fragment mass distribution in the final state of the reaction are also evaluated. Our results about the intermediate processes and the final products of the reaction are verified mutually so that confirm strongly the existence of nonlinear chaos in the heavy ion collisions at intermediate energy. Meanwhile, we find that the typical characteristics of the critical phase transition obtained in the analysis of the final production of the reaction are relatively more clear in the vicinity of the incident energies $E=100 MeV$.

RACS2: A Framework of Remote Autonomous Control System for Telescope Observation and its application

As the demand of astronomical observation rising, the telescope systems are becoming more and more complex. Thus, the observatory control software needs to be more intelligent, they have to control each instrument inside the observatory, finish the observation tasks autonomously, and report the information to users if needed. We developed a distributed autonomous observatory control framework named Remote Autonomous Control System 2nd, RACS2 to meet these requirements. The RACS2 framework uses decentralized distributed architecture, instrument control software and system service such as observation control service are implemented as different components. The communication between components is implemented based on a high-performance serialization library and a light-weighted messaging library. The interfaces towards python and Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) are implemented, so the RACS2 framework can communicate with EPICS based device control software and python-based software. Several system components including log, executor, scheduler and other modules are developed to help observation. Observation tasks can be programmed with python language, and the plans are scheduled by the scheduler component to achieve autonomous observation.A set of web service is implemented based on the FastAPI framework, with which user can control and manage the framework remotely.Based on the RACS2 framework, we have implemented the DATs telescope's observation system and the space object observation system. We performed remote autonomous observation and received many data with these systems.

Kinematic distributions of the $η_c$ leptoproduction in association with light hadrons

The $η_c$ meson leptoproduction is calculated within the nonrelativistic QCD framework for the first time. It is found that the colour-singlet channel, although suppressed by a factor of $α_s$ relative to the colour-octet ones, provides the most important contribution for almost all the experimental conditions, which disagrees with some of the expectations before computation. We present the differential cross sections with respect to $p_t^2$, $p_t^{\star2}$, $Q^2$, $W$, and $z$, for both HERA and EIC experimental conditions as a reference for future studies. The scale dependence and long-distance-matrix-element dependence are also investigated in this paper.

Next-to-leading-order QCD corrections to a vector bottomonium radiative decay into a charmonium

Within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, we calculate the next-to-leading-order (NLO) perturbative corrections to the radiative decay $Υ\to η_c(χ_{cJ})+γ$. Both the helicity amplitudes and the helicity decay widths are obtained. It is the first computation for the processes involving both bottomonium and charmonium at two-loop accuracy. By employing the Cheng-Wu theorem, we are able to convert most of complex-valued master integrals (MIs) into real-valued MIs, which makes the numerical integration much efficient. Our results indicate the $\mathcal{O}(α_s)$ corrections are moderate for $η_c$ and $χ_{c2}$ production, and are quite marginal for $χ_{c0}$ and $χ_{c1}$ production. It is impressive to note the NLO corrections considerably reduce the renormalization scale dependence in both the decay widths and the branching fractions for $χ_{cJ}$, and slightly improve that for $η_c$. With the NRQCD matrix elements evaluated via the Buchmüller-Tye potential model, we find the decay width for $η_c$ production is one-order-of-magnitude larger than $χ_{cJ}$ production, which may provide a good opportunity to search for $Υ\to η_c+γ$ in experiment. In addition, the decay width for $χ_{c1}$ production is several times larger than those for $χ_{c0,2}$. Finally, we find the NLO NRQCD prediction for the branching fraction of $Υ\to χ_{c1}+γ$ is only half of the lower bound of the experimental data measured recently by {\tt Belle}. Moreover, there exists serious contradiction between theory and experiment for $Υ\to η_c+γ$. The discrepancies between theory and experiment deserve further research efforts.

Sensitivity of the Mean Field Dynamics to the Spatial Distribution in Nuclear One-body Dissipations

Started from the static excited finite atomic nucleus, we have simulated the dynamical propagation of the nucleons using Quantum Molecular Dynamics model (QMD) without the collision term and calculated the Largest Lyapunov Exponent (LLE). The sensitivity of the nonlinear mean field dynamics to the initial conditions, in particular to the initial spatial distribution of the nucleons in certain thermodynamical stable condition, has been confirmed numerically by calculating the LLE defined in the event space. Comparatively, the Lyapunov-like exponent defined in phase space represents more clearly the sensitivity of the nonlinear dynamics to the mechanical stability of the initial conditions within the nuclear reaction time at intermediate energies. These conclusions are not only helpful for us to understand more deeply the mechanism of the nuclear reaction dynamics at intermediate energies, but it is also beneficial for clarifying further the concrete performances of deterministic chaos in the heavy-ion collisions.

Study on $η_{c2}(η_{b2})$ electromagnetic decay into double photons

Within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization formalism, we compute the helicity amplitude as well as the decay width of $η_{Q2}$ ($Q=c,b$) electromagnetic decay into two photons up to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in $α_s$ expansion. For the first time, we verify the validity of NRQCD factorization for the D-wave quarkonium decay at NNLO. We find that the $\mathcal{O}(α_s)$ and $\mathcal{O}(α_s^2)$ corrections to the helicity amplitude are negative and moderate, nevertheless both corrections combine to suppress the leading-order prediction for the decay width significantly. By approximating the total decay width of $η_{Q2}$ as the sum of those for the hadronic decay and the electric $E1$ transition, we obtain the branching ratios ${\rm Br}(η_{c2}\to 2γ)\approx 5\times10^{-6}$ and ${\rm Br}(η_{b2}\to 2γ)\approx 4\times10^{-7}$. To explore the potential measurement on $η_{Q2}$, we further evaluate the production cross section of $η_{Q2}$ at LHCb at the lowest order in $α_s$ expansion. With the kinematic constraint on the longitudinal rapidity $4.5>y>2$ and transverse momentum $P_T>(2-4)m_Q$ for $η_{Q2}$, we find the cross section can reach $2-50$ nb for $η_{c2}$, and $1-22$ pb for $η_{b2}$. Considering the integrated luminosity $\mathcal{L}=10\, {\rm fb}^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV and $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV, we estimate that there are several hundreds events of $pp\to η_{c2}\to 2γ$. Since the background is relatively clean, it is promising to reconstruct $η_{c2}$ through its electromagnetic decay. On the contrary, due to small branching ratio and production cross section, it is quite challenging to detect $η_{b2}\to 2γ$ at LHCb.

Statistical analysis of the azimuthal asymmetry in the $J/ψ$ leptoproduction in unpolarized $ep$ collisions

In this paper, we study the azimuthal asymmetry in the $J/ψ$ leptoproduction in unpolarized $ep$ collisions. There are two independent azimuthal asymmetry modulations, namely $\mathrm{cos}(ψ)$ and $\mathrm{cos}(2ψ)$, where $ψ$ is the azimuthal angle of the lepton scattering plane with respect to the hadron-interacting plane. We calculate the two modulations as functions of four kinematic variables, and find that they provide a very good laboratory to distinguish several models describing the heavy quarkonium production, including the color-singlet (CS) model, the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) associated with the $^1S_0^{[8]}$ dominance picture, and the NRQCD in which the values of all the three color-octet (CO) long-distance matrix elements are of the same order. In order to make definite conclusions, we restrict our calculation in a specific kinematic region, where the CS and CO mechanisms can be distinguished by scrutinizing the values of the $\mathrm{cos}(ψ)$ modulation, while the $^1S_0^{[8]}$ dominance picture can be tested by measuring the values of the $\mathrm{cos}(2ψ)$ modulation. Calculating their values and carrying out a meticulous statistical analysis, we find that at an integrated luminosity $\mathcal{L}=1000\mathrm{pb}^{-1}$, the statistical uncertainties of the two quantities are small enough to tell the three models apart. When this experiment is implemented at the future $ep$ colliders such as the EIC, crucial information for the $J/ψ$ production mechanism might be discovered.

$\bar{K}$ -induced formation of the $f_2(1270)$ and $f_2^{'}(1525)$ resonances on proton targets

We investigate the productiong of $f_2(1270)$ and $f_2^{'}(1525)$ mesons in the $K^{-}p\toΛf_2(1270)$,$K^{-}p\toΛf^{'}_2(1525)$ and $K^{-}p\to{}K^{+}K^{-}Λ$ reactions within an effective Lagrangian approach. For $K^{-}p\to{}f_2Λ$ reaction, by considering the contributions from the $t$-channel $K^{+}$ exchange and $u$-channel nucleon pole, we get a fairly good description of the experimental measurements about the total and differential cross sections. Based on the studies of the $K^{-}p\to{}f_2Λ$ reaction, we investigate $K^{-}p\to{}K^{+}K^{-}Λ$ reaction including the contributions from the $f_2(1270)$ and $f'_2(1525)$ mesons decaying into $K^+K^-$ pair. The total cross sections and invariant mass distribution of the $K p \to K^+K^- Λ$ reaction are predicted. The results can be tested in future experiments and therefore offer new clues on the nature of these tensor states.

$η_c$ production associated with light hadrons at the B-factories and the future super B-factories

We present a complete study of the associated production of the $η_c$ meson with light hadrons in $e^+e^-$ collisions at the B-factory energy, which is demonstrated to be one of the best laboratories for testing the colour-octet (CO) mechanism. The colour-siglet contributions are evaluated up to $O(α^2α_s^3)$ while the CO ones are evaluated up to $O(α^2α_s^2)$. For the first time, the angular distribution of the $^1S_0^{[8]}$ production is studied at QCD next-to-leading order. We find that the $^1S_0^{[8]}$ channel dominate the total cross section, while the $^1P_1^{[8]}$ one exhibit its importance in the angular distribution, which turns out to be downward going with respect to $\mathrm{cos}θ$. This can be considered as the most distinct signal for the CO mechanism.

A Statistical Approach to Describe Highly Excited Heavy and Superheavy Nuclei

A statistical approach based on the Weisskopf evaporation theory has been developed to describe the de-excitation process of highly excited heavy and superheavy nuclei, in particular for the proton-rich nuclei. The excited nucleus is cooled by evaporating $γ$-ray, light particles (neutrons, protons, $α$ etc) in competition with the binary fission, in which the structure effects (shell correction, fission barrier, particle separation energy) contribute to the processes. The formation of residual nuclei is evaluated via sequential emission of possible particles above the separation energies. The available data of fusion-evaporation excitation functions in the $^{28}$Si+$^{198}$Pt reaction can be reproduced nicely well within the approach.

Global analysis of the experimental data on $χ_c$ meson hadroproduction

We carry out a global analysis of the experimental data on the $χ_c$ production cross section and the ratio $σ(χ_{c2})/σ(χ_{c1})$ at the LHC and the Tevatron. The related long-distance matrix elements (LDMEs) at both leading order (LO) and next-to-leading order (NLO) in the QCD coupling constant are renewed. We also present the transverse momentum distribution of the $χ_c$ production cross section and the ratio $σ(χ_{c2})/σ(χ_{c1})$ for several experimental conditions and find that NLO predictions agree with all sets of experimental data. By contrast, at LO, one cannot explain all the data with a unique value of the color-octet LDME. A brief analysis of the nonrelativistic QCD scale dependence of the cross sections shows that, for the conditions we are concerned with in this paper, the dependence can be almost totally absorbed into the LDME.

Photoproduction of hidden-charm states in the $γp \to \bar{D}^{*0} Λ^+_c$ reaction near threshold

We report on a theoretical study of the hidden charm $N^*_{c \bar{c}}$ states in the $γp \to \bar{D}^{*0} Λ^+_c$ reaction near threshold within an effective Lagrangian approach. In addition to the contributions from the $s$-channel nucleon pole, the $t$-channel $D^0$ exchange, the $u$-channel $Λ^+_c$ exchange and the contact term, we study the contributions from the $N^*_{c \bar{c}}$ states with spin-parity $J^P = 1/2^-$ and $3/2^-$. The total and differential cross sections of the $γp \to \bar{D}^{*0} Lambda^+_c$ reaction are predicted. It is found that the contributions of these $N^*_{c \bar{c}}$ states give clear peak structures in the total cross sections. Thus, this reaction is another new platform to study the hidden-charm states. It is expected that our model calculation may be tested by the future experiments.

$J/ψ$ production and suppression in high energy proton-nucleus collisions

We apply a Color Glass Condensate+Non-Relativistic QCD (CGC+NRQCD) framework to compute $J/ψ$ production in deuteron-nucleus collisions at RHIC and proton-nucleus collisions at the LHC. Our results match smoothly at high $p_\perp$ to a next-to-leading order perturbative QCD + NRQCD computation. Excellent agreement is obtained for $p_\perp$ spectra at RHIC and LHC for central and forward rapidities, as well as for the normalized ratio $R_{pA}$ of these results to spectra in proton-proton collisions. In particular, we observe that the $R_{pA}$ data is strongly bounded by our computations of the same for each of the individual NRQCD channels; this result provides strong evidence that our description is robust against uncertainties in initial conditions and hadronization mechanisms.

We present a high-quality, bias-free quantum random number generator (QRNG) using photon arrival time selectively in accordance with the number of photon detection events within a sampling time interval in attenuated light. It is well showed in both theoretical analysis and experiments verification that this random number production method eliminates both bias and correlation perfectly without more post processing and the random number can clearly pass the standard randomness tests. We fulfill theoretical analysis and experimental verification of the method whose rate can reach up to 45Mbps.

An Autonomous Observation and Control System Based on EPICS and RTS2 for Antarctic Telescopes

For an unattended telescopes in Antarctic, the remote operation, autonomous observation and control are essential. An EPICS (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System) and RTS2(Remote Telescope System, 2nd Version) based autonomous observation and control system with remoted operation is introduced in this paper. EPICS is a set of Open Source software tools, libraries and applications developed collaboratively and used worldwide to create distributed soft real-time control systems for scientific instruments while RTS2 is an open source environment for control of a fully autonomous observatory. Using the advantage of EPICS and RTS2 respectively, a combined integrated software framework for autonomous observation and control is established that use RTS2 to fulfill the function of astronomical observation and use EPICS to fulfill the device control of telescope. A command and status interface for EPICS and RTS2 is designed to make the EPICS IOC (Input/Output Controller) components integrate to RTS2 directly. For the specification and requirement of control system of telescope in Antarctic, core components named Executor and Auto-focus for autonomous observation is designed and implemented with remote operation user interface based on Browser-Server mode. The whole system including the telescope is tested in Lijiang Observatory in Yunnan Province for practical observation to complete the autonomous observation and control, including telescope control, camera control, dome control, weather information acquisition with the local and remote operation.

The prompt $J/ψ$ production in Association with a $c\bar{c}$ Pair within the Framework of Non-relativistic QCD via photon-photon collision at the International Linear Collider

We present a systematical study on the prompt $J/ψ$ production in association with a $c\bar{c}$ pair via the process, $γγ\to H(c\bar{c}) +c+\bar{c}$, within the framework of non-relativistic QCD at the future high-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider - International Linear Collider (ILC), including both direct and feed-down contributions. For direct $J/ψ$ production, the states with color-octet channels, especially the $^3P_J^{[8]}$ and $^1S_0^{[8]}$ ones, provide dominant contribution to the production cross-section, which are about fifty-two times over that of the color-singlet one. This is clearly shown by the transverse momentum ($p_t$) and rapidity distributions. The feed-down contribution from $ψ'$ and $χ_{cJ}$ ($J=0,1,2$) is sizable, which is about $20\%$ to the total prompt cross-section. Besides the yields, we also calculate the $J/ψ$ polarization parameter $λ$. In small $p_t$ region, the polarization of the prompt $J/ψ$ is longitudinal due to large contributions through the $^3P_J^{[8]}$ channel, and becomes transverse in high $p_t$ region due to $^3S_1^{[8]}$ channel. Thus the $J/ψ$ production via photon-photon collisions at the ILC shall provide a useful platform for testing the color-octet mechanism.

Theoretical investigation of the decay of the $N(2120)$ resonance to nucleon resonances near 1.7 GeV

Background: Until now the knowledge about nucleon resonances with a mass higher than 2 GeV has been scarce. Huge amounts of experimental data of the multipion photoproduction have been accumulated, and more can be expected in the future in facilities such as JLab 12 GeV. It makes it possible to investigate the decay of a nucleon resonance into another nucleon resonance. Purpose: The possibility to research the decay of the $N(2120)$ to nucleon resonances near 1.7 GeV in the three-pion photoproduction will be explored to provide useful information for future experimental study. Method: The pion and radiative decay amplitudes of nucleon resonances are studied within the constituent quark model, which is used to calculate the couplings constants, especially for the decay of a nucleon resonance near 2.1 GeV to another nucleon resonance near 1.7 GeV. The three-pion photoproduction off the neutron target, i.e.,$γn \toπ^{-}π^{-}Δ^{++}\to π^{-}π^{-}π^+ p$, is investigated based on the effective Lagrangian method with the coupling constant obtained form the decay amplitudes. Results: The resonance contribution with a state $N(^2P_M)\frac{3}{2}^{-}$ near 2.1 GeV decaying to a state $N(^4P_M)\frac{5}{2}^{-}$ near 1.7 GeV, i.\ e., $N(2120)\to N(1675)π$ is dominant in the process considered. The total cross section from the resonance contribution is at the order of 1 $μ$b and can be easily distinguished from the background. Conclusions: Our results suggest it is practicable to research the decay of the $N(2120)$ to the $N(1675)$ in experiment.

By using the color-octet long-distance matrix elements obtained from fits of the experimental measurements on Upsilon yield and polarization at the Tevatron and LHC, our results can explain the measurements on the yield very well, and for the polarizations of Upsilon(1S,2S,3S), they are in (good, good, bad) agreement with recent CMS measurement, but still have some distance from the CDF measurement.

Discovery potential of hidden charm baryon resonances via photoproduction

In this work, we study the possibility to find $N^*_{c\bar{c}}$ and $Λ^*_{c\bar{c}}$ resonances with hidden charm with mass above 4 GeV in the photon-induced production. The cross sections for the photoproductions of hidden charmed baryons are predicted in the effective Lagrangian approach with the vector meson dominance mechanism. The $N^*(4412)$ can be produced directly by photon excitation with total cross section about 1 nb. The $N^*(4412)$ provides a obvious peak near threshold for $J/ψ$ photoproduction, which is promising to be checked by the future high precision experiment at JLab 12 GeV. The results will be helpful to the experimental search for the hidden-charmed baryon resonances in the coming experiment at JLab 12 GeV, such as SoLID, and the proposed electron-ion colliders at FAIR and HIAF.

h_c Production at Hadron Colliders

In this paper, we present the study of the hadroproduction rate of $h_c$ at next-to-leading order in $α_s$ under the nonrelativisitic QCD (NRQCD) factorization framework, using long-distance matrix elements obtained from the fit of $χ_c$ production measurements by LHCb. We consider the problem of NRQCD scale dependence for the first time, and find that, for some experimental conditions, the choice of this scale can substantially affect the final results. Up to this order, color-octet channel still contribute the most part of the production rate.

Impact of $η_c$ hadroproduction data on charmonium production and polarization within NRQCD framework

With the recent LHCb data on $η_c$ production and based on heavy quark spin symmetry, we obtain the long-distance matrix elements for both $η_c$ and $J/ψ$ productions, among which, the color-singlet one for $η_c$ is obtained directly by the fit of experiment for the first time. Using our long-distance matrix elements, we can provide good description of the $η_c$ and $J/ψ$ hadroproduction measurements. Our predictions on $J/ψ$ polarization are in good agreement with the LHCb data and pass through the two sets of CDF measurements in medium $p_t$ region. Considering all the possible uncertainties carefully, we obtained quite narrow bands of the $J/ψ$ polarization curves.

Toeplitz matrix hashing is applied for randomness extraction, after which the final random bits are able to pass the standard randomness tests.

A real-time design based on FPGA for Expeditious Error Reconciliation in QKD system

For high-speed quantum key distribution systems, error reconciliation is often the bottleneck affecting system performance. By exchanging common information through a public channel, the identical key can be generated on both communicating sides. However, the necessity to eliminate disclosed bits for security reasons lowers the final key rate. To improve this key rate, the amount of disclosed bits should be minimized. In addition, decreasing the time spent on error reconciliation also improves the key rate. In this paper we introduce a practical method for expeditious error reconciliation implemented in a Field Programmable Gate Array for a discrete variable quantum key distribution system, and illustrate the superiority of this method to other similar algorithms running on a PC. Experimental results demonstrate the rapidity of the proposed protocol.

Experimental unconditionally secure bit commitment

Bit commitment is a fundamental cryptographic task that guarantees a secure commitment between two mutually mistrustful parties and is a building block for many cryptographic primitives, including coin tossing, zero-knowledge proofs, oblivious transfer and secure two-party computation. Unconditionally secure bit commitment was thought to be impossible until recent theoretical protocols that combine quantum mechanics and relativity were shown to elude previous impossibility proofs. Here we implement such a bit commitment protocol. In the experiment, the committer performs quantum measurements using two quantum key distribution systems and the results are transmitted via free-space optical communication to two agents separated with more than 20 km. The security of the protocol relies on the properties of quantum information and relativity theory. We show that, in each run of the experiment, a bit is successfully committed with less than 5.68*10^-2 cheating probability. Our result demonstrates unconditionally secure bit commitment and the experimental feasibility of relativistic quantum communication.

Polarization for Prompt J/psi, psi(2s) production at the Tevatron and LHC

Based on nonrelativistic QCD, we present the first complete next-to-leading order study on the polarization of prompt J/psi hadroproduction by including feeddown from chi_c(^3P_J^1,^3S_1^8) and psi(2s) which turn out to be a very important part. By using the color-octet long-distance matrix elements obtained from a combined fit of the differential cross section measurements at the Tevatron and LHC for J/psi, psi(2s) and chi_c with p_t>7GeV, the prompt J/psi polarization predictions are presented, and the results are in agree with the CDF Run-I data (except two points), but in conflict with the CDF Run-II data, while are close to the ALICE data (inclusive J/psi) at LHC. The experimental measurements at the LHC are strongly expected to clarify the situation.

The $γp \to n a^+_2(1320) \to n ρ^0 π^+$ reactions within an effective Lagrangian approach

We investigate the $a_2(1320)$ meson photon production in the $γp \to n a^+_2(1320)$ and $γp \to n ρ^0 π^+$ reactions within the effective Lagrangian method. For $γp \to n a^+_2(1320)$ reaction, by considering the contributions only from the $t-$channel $π^+$ exchange, we get a fairly good description of the current experimental total cross section data. We also studied the $γp \to n ρ^0 π^+$ reaction, which mainly contribute to the $γp \to n π^+ π^+ π^-$ reaction. The latter reaction has measured by the CLAS Collaboration. The total cross sections, invariant mass distribution, and the Dalitz Plot of $γp \to n ρ^0 π^+$ reaction are shown, which can be tested by future experiments.

Inclusive Production of $h_c(h_b)$ States via $e^{+}e^{-}$ Annihilation

We calculate the inclusive production of $h_c(h_b)$ at $e^+e^-$ colliders with the center-of-mass energy from the CLEO-c energy to $Z^0$ boson mass at leading order of nonrelativistic QCD. At $Z^0$ boson mass, the cross sections are $39\sim 703$fb for $h_c(1p)$, $37\sim 61$fb for $h_b(1p)$ and $44\sim 73$fb for $h_b(2p)$. At the B-factory, it is $86\sim212$fb for $h_c(1p)$. For $h_c$ at the CLEO-c and $h_b(1p,2p)$ at the B-factory, the perturbative QCD expansion is not good and the results are much smaller than the experimental measurements. It is clearly shown in all the results that the color-octet state $(^1S_0^8)$ contributes dominantly while the color-singlet state $(^1P_1^1)$ contributes small or even negative part, in contrast to the case of inclusive $J/ψ$ production where the color-singlet state is found to contribute dominantly.

Effect of the momentum dependence of nuclear symmetry potential on pion-/pion+ ratio in heavy-ion collisions

In the framework of the isospin-dependent Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck transport model, effect of the momentum dependence of nuclear symmetry potential on pion-/pion+ ratio in the neutron-rich reaction 132Sn+124Sn at a beam energy of 400 MeV/nucleon is studied. We find that the momentum dependence of nuclear symmetry potential affects the compressed density of colliding nuclei, numbers of produced pion- and pion+, as well as the value of pion-/pion+ ratio. The momentum dependent nuclear symmetry potential increases the compressed density of colliding nuclei, numbers of produced resonances delta(1232), N*(1440), pion- and pion+, as well as the value of pion-/pion+ ratio.

QCD corrections to Upsilon production via color-octet states at the Tevatron and LHC

The NLO QCD corrections to Upsilon production via S-wave color-octet states Upsilon(^1S_0^8,^3S_1^8) at the Tevatron and LHC is calculated. The K factors of total cross section (ratio of NLO to LO) are 1.313 and 1.379 for Upsilon(^1S_0^8) and Upsilon(^3S_1^8) at the Tevatron, while at the LHC they are 1.044 and 1.182, respectively. By fitting the experimental data from the D0, the matrix elements for S-wave color-octet states are obtained. And new predictions for Upsilon production are presented. The prediction for the polarization of inclusive Upsilon contains large uncertainty rising from the polarization of Upsilon from feed-down of chi_b. To further clarify the situation, new measurements on the production and polarization for direct Upsilon are expected.
