On the $τ$-tilting finiteness and silting-discreteness of graded (skew-) gentle algebras

This paper investigates finiteness conditions for gentle and skew-gentle algebras. First, we prove that a skew-gentle algebra is $τ$-tilting finite if and only if it is representation-finite, which extends the result for gentle algebras by Plamondon (2019). Second, using surface models, we characterize silting-discreteness for the perfect derived categories of graded gentle and skew-gentle algebras. Specifically, for a graded gentle algebra, silting-discreteness is equivalent to its associated surface being of genus zero with non-zero winding numbers for all simple closed curves. We further extend this geometric characterization to graded skew-gentle algebras via orbifold surface models.

Exceptional sequences in the derived category of a gentle algebra

In this paper, using the correspondence of gentle algebras and dissections of marked surfaces, we study full exceptional sequences in the perfect derived category $\mathsf{K^b(A)}$ of a gentle algebra $\mathsf{A}$. We show that full exceptional sequences in $\mathsf{K^b(A)}$ exist if and only if the associated marked surface has no punctures and has at least two marked points on the boundary. Furthermore, by using induction on cuts of surfaces, we characterise when an exceptional sequence can be completed to a full exceptional sequence. If the genus of the associated surface is zero then we show that the action of the braid group together with the grading shift on full exceptional sequences in $\mathsf{K^b(A)}$ is transitive. For the case of surfaces of higher genus, we reduce the problem of transitivity to the problem of the existence of certain sequences of pairs of exceptional objects. Finally, we interpret the duality of a full exceptional sequence induced by the longest element in the associated symmetric group using Koszul duality.

Geometric model for module categories of Dynkin quivers via hearts of total stability conditions

We derive a geometric model for the module category $\operatorname{mod} \mathbf{k} Q$ of a Dynkin quiver $Q$ via the heart of a total stability condition on the bounded derived category of $\operatorname{mod} \mathbf{k} Q$. As an application, we prove Reineke's conjecture that there is a stability function on $\operatorname{mod} \mathbf{k} Q$ making any indecomposables stable.

Quivers with potentials for Grassmannian cluster algebras

We consider (iced) quiver with potential $(\bar{Q}(D), F(D), \bar{W}(D))$ associated to a Postnilov Diagram $D$ and prove the mutation of the quiver with potential $(\bare{Q}(D), F(D), \bar{W}(D))$ is compatible with the geometric exchange of the Postnikov diagram $D$. This ensures we may define a quiver with potential for a Grassmannian cluster algebra. We show such quiver with potential is always rigid (thus non-degenerate) and Jacobian-finite. And in fact, it is the unique non-degenerate (thus unique rigid) quiver with potential associated to the Grassmannian cluster algebra up to right-equivalence, by using a general result of Geiß-Labardini-Schröer. As an application, we verify that the auto-equivalence group of the generalized cluster category ${\mathcal{C}}_{(Q, W)}$ is isomorphic to the cluster automorphism group of the associated Grassmannian cluster algebra ${\mathcal{A}_{(Q, W)}}$ with trivial coefficients.

Cluster automorphism groups and automorphism groups of exchange graphs

For a coefficient free cluster algebra $\mathcal{A}$, we study the cluster automorphism group $Aut(\mathcal{A})$ and the automorphism group $Aut(E_{\mathcal{A}})$ of its exchange graph $E_{\mathcal{A}}$. We show that these two groups are isomorphic with each other, if $\mathcal{A}$ is of finite type excepting types of rank two and type $F_4$, or if $\mathcal{A}$ is of skew-symmetric finite mutation type.

On rooted cluster morphisms and cluster structures in $2$-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories

We study rooted cluster algebras and rooted cluster morphisms which were introduced in \cite{ADS13} recently and cluster structures in $2$-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories. An example of rooted cluster morphism which is not ideal is given, this clarifies a doubt in \cite{ADS13}. We introduce the notion of frozenization of a seed and show that an injective rooted cluster morphism always arises from a frozenization and a subseed. Moreover, it is a section if and only if it arises from a subseed. This answers the Problem 7.7 in \cite{ADS13}. We prove that an inducible rooted cluster morphism is ideal if and only if it can be decomposed as a surjective rooted cluster morphism and an injective rooted cluster morphism. We also introduce the tensor decompositions of a rooted cluster algebra and of a rooted cluster morphism. For rooted cluster algebras arising from a $2$-Calabi-Yau triangulated category $\mathcal{C}$ with cluster tilting objects, we give an one-to-one correspondence between certain pairs of their rooted cluster subalgebras which we call complete pairs (see Definition \ref{def of complete pairs} for precise meaning) and cotorsion pairs in $\mathcal{C}$.

Cluster automorphism groups of cluster algebras of finite type

We study the cluster automorphism group $Aut(\mathcal{A})$ of a coefficient free cluster algebra $\mathcal{A}$ of finite type. A cluster automorphism of $\mathcal{A}$ is a permutation of the cluster variable set $\mathscr{X}$ that is compatible with cluster mutations. We show that, on the one hand, by the well-known correspondence between $\mathscr{X}$ and the almost positive root system $Φ_{\geq -1}$ of the corresponding Dynkin type, the piecewise-linear transformations $τ_+$ and $τ_-$ on $Φ_{\geq -1}$ induce cluster automorphisms $f_+$ and $f_-$ of $\mathcal{A}$ respectively; on the other hand, excepting type $D_{2n},(n\geqslant 2)$, all the cluster automorphisms of $\mathcal{A}$ are compositions of $f_+$ and $f_-$. For a cluster algebra of type $D_{2n},(n\geqslant 2)$, there exists exceptional cluster automorphism induced by a permutation of negative simple roots in $Φ_{\geq -1}$, which is not a composition of $τ_+$ and $τ_-$. By using these results and folding a simply laced cluster algebra, we compute the cluster automorphism group for a non-simply laced finite type cluster algebra. As an application, we show that $Aut(\mathcal{A})$ is isomorphic to the cluster automorphism group of the $FZ$-universal cluster algebra of $\mathcal{A}$.

Cluster automorphism groups of cluster algebras with coefficients

We study the cluster automorphism group of a skew-symmetric cluster algebra with geometric coefficients. For this, we introduce the notion of gluing free cluster algebra, and show that under a weak condition the cluster automorphism group of a gluing free cluster algebra is a subgroup of the cluster automorphism group of its principal part cluster algebra (i.e. the corresponding cluster algebra without coefficients). We show that several classes of cluster algebras with coefficients are gluing free, for example, cluster algebras with principal coefficients, cluster algebras with universal geometric coefficients, and cluster algebras from surfaces (except a 4-gon) with coefficients from boundaries. Moreover, except four kinds of surfaces, the cluster automorphism group of a cluster algebra from a surface with coefficients from boundaries is isomorphic to the cluster automorphism group of its principal part cluster algebra; for a cluster algebra with principal coefficients, its cluster automorphism group is isomorphic to the automorphism group of its initial quiver.
