Accessibility of SPDEs driven by pure jump noise and its applications

In this paper, we develop a new method to obtain the accessibility of stochastic partial differential equations driven by additive pure jump noise. An important novelty of this paper is to allow the driving noises to be degenerate. As an application, for the first time, we obtain the accessibility of a class of stochastic equations driven by pure jump degenerate noise, which cover 2D stochastic Navier-Stokes equations, stochastic Burgers type equations, singular stochastic p-Laplace equations, stochastic fast diffusion equations, etc. As a further application, we establish the ergodicity of singular stochastic p-Laplace equations and stochastic fast diffusion equations driven by additive pure jump noise, and we remark that the driving noises could be Levy processes with heavy tails.

Large deviation principles for first-order scalar conservation laws with stochastic forcing

In this paper, we established the Freidlin-Wentzell type large deviation principles for first-order scalar conservation laws perturbed by small multiplicative noise. Due to the lack of the viscous terms in the stochastic equations, the kinetic solution to the Cauchy problem for these first-order conservation laws is studied. Then, based on the well-posedness of the kinetic solutions, we show that the large deviations holds by utilising the weak convergence approach.

Strong Solutions to Reflecting Stochastic Differential Equations with Singular Drift

In this paper, we prove that there exists a unique strong solution to reflecting stochastic differential equations with merely measurable drift giving an affirmative answer to the longstanding problem. This is done through Zvonkin transformation and a careful analysis of the transformed reflecting stochastic differential equations on non-smooth time-dependent domains.

Backward Doubly SDEs and Semilinear Stochastic PDEs in a convex domain

This paper presents existence and uniqueness results for reflected backward doubly stochastic differential equations (in short RBDDSEs) in a convex domain D. Moreover, using a stochastic flow approach a probabilistic interpretation for a class of reflected SPDE's in a domain is given via such RBDSDEs. The solution is expressed as a pair (u,ν) where u is a predictable continuous process which takes values in a Sobolev space and m is a random regular measure. The bounded variation process K, component of the solution of the reflected BDSDE, controls the set when u reaches the boundary of D. This bounded variation process determines the measure m from a particular relation by using the inverse of the flow associated to the the diffusion operator.

Lattice Approximations of Reflected Stochastic Partial Differential Equations Driven by Space-Time White Noise

We introduce a discretization/approximation scheme for reflected stochastic partial differential equations driven by space-time white noise through systems of reflecting stochastic differential equations. To establish the convergence of the scheme, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions of Skorohod-type deterministic systems on time-dependent domains. We also need to establish the convergence of an approximation scheme for deterministic parabolic obstacle problems. Both are of independent interest on their own.

A Note on the Malliavin Differentiability of One-Dimensional Reflected Stochastic Differential Equations with Discontinuous Drift

We consider a one-dimensional Stochastic Differential Equation with reflection where we allow the drift to be merely bounded and measurable. It is already known that such equations have a unique strong solution. Recently, it has been shown that non-reflected SDE's with discontinuous drift possess more regularity than one could expect, namely they are Malliavin differentiable and weakly differentiable w.r.t. the initial value. In this paper we show that similar results hold for one-dimensional SDE's with reflection. We then apply the results to get a Bismut-Elworthy-Li formula for the corresponding Kolmogorov equation.

Log-Harnack Inequality for Mild Solutions of SPDEs with Strongly Multiplicative Noise

Due to technical reasons, existing results concerning Harnack type inequalities for SPDEs with multiplicative noise apply only to the case where the coefficient in the noise term is an Hilbert-Schmidt perturbation of a fixed bounded operator. In this paper we investigate a class of semi-linear SPDEs with strongly multiplicative noise whose coefficient is even allowed to be unbounded which is thus no way to be Hilbert-Schmidt. Gradient estimates, log-Harnack inequality and applications are derived. Applications to stochastic reaction-diffusion equations driven by space-time white noise are presented.

Anticipating Stochastic 2D Navier-Stokes Equations

In this article, we consider the two-dimensional stochastic Navier-Stokes equation (SNSE) on a smooth bounded domain, driven by affine-linear multiplicative white noise and with random initial conditions and Dirichlet boundary conditions. The random initial condition is allowed to anticipate the forcing noise. Our main objective is to prove the existence of a solution to the SNSE under sufficient Malliavin regularity of the initial condition. To this end we employ anticipating calculus techniques.

Mixed Boundary Value Problems of Semilinear Elliptic PDEs and BSDEs with Singular Coefficients

In this paper, we prove that there exists a unique weak solution to the mixed boundary value problem for a general class of semilinear second order elliptic partial differential equations with singular coefficients. Our approach is probabilistic. The theory of Dirichlet forms and backward stochastic differential equations with singular coefficients and infinite horizon plays a crucial role.
