Unidirectional reflection lasing based on destructive interference and Bragg scattering modulation in defective atomic lattice

The novel and ingenious scheme we propose for achieving unidirectional reflection lasing (URL) involves integrating a one-dimensional (1D) defective atomic lattice with a coherent gain atomic system. Its physical essence lies in the fact that the right-side reflectivity is drastically reduced due to the destructive interference between primary and secondary reflections, whereas on the left-side primary reflection is effectively suppressed and the secondary reflection is efficiently enhanced, ultimately reaching the lasing threshold. Through numerical results and further analyses, we have elucidated how to precisely tailor the lattice parameters and coupling fields to control destructive interference point (DIP), thereby realizing URL and enabling its active modulation. Our scheme is experimentally feasible and not only effectively circumvents the stringent conditions faced in directly realizing URL, providing a new pathway, but also beneficial for integrating active photonic devices into compact quantum networks and may improve the efficiency of optical information transmission.

Separability criteria based on the Weyl operators

Entanglement as a vital resource for information processing can be described by special properties of the quantum state. Using the well-known Weyl basis we propose a new Bloch decomposition of the quantum state and study its separability problem. This decomposition enables us to find an alternative characterization of the separability based on the correlation matrix. We shaw that the criterion is effective in detecting entanglement for the isotropic states, Bell-diagonal states and some PPT entangled states. We also use the Weyl operators to construct an detecting operator for quantum teleportation.

Note on Product-Form Monogamy Relations for Nonlocality and Other Correlation Measures

The monogamy relations satisfied by quantum correlation measures play important roles in quantum information processing. Generally they are given in summation form. In this note, we study monogamy relations in product form. We present product-form monogamy relations for Bell nonlocality for three-qubit and multi-qubit quantum systems. We then extend our studies to other quantum correlations such as concurrence.

Separability criteria based on Heisenberg-Weyl representation of density matrices

Separability is an important problem in theory of quantum entanglement. By using the Bloch representation of quantum states in terms of the Heisenberg-Weyl observable basis, we present a new separability criterion for bipartite quantum systems. It is shown that this criterion can be better than the previous ones in detecting entanglement. The results are generalized to multipartite quantum states.

Trade-off relations of l_1-norm coherence for multipartite systems

We study the trade-off relations given by the l_1-norm coherence of general multipartite states. Explicit trade-off inequalities are derived with lower bounds given by the coherence of either bipartite or multipartite reduced density matrices. In particular, for pure three-qubit states, it is explicitly shown that the trade-off inequality is lower bounded by the three tangle of quantum entanglement.

Trade-off relations on CHSH tests for multi-qubit pure states

We study the trade-off relations on the maximal violation of CHSH tests for the multi-qubit pure states. Firstly, according to the classification of 3-qubit pure states under stochastic local operations and classical communication, four trade-off relations on CHSH tests are provided. The process of proof also provides the method of calculating its exact value. Then we consider the multi-qubit quantum systems, and we prove that the conjecture in [PRA 94, 042105 (2016)] is right for some special 4-qubit or more qubit pure states.

Uncertainty relations based on Wigner-Yanase skew information

In this paper, we use certain norm inequalities to obtain new uncertain relations based on the Wigner-Yanase skew information. First for an arbitrary finite number of observables we derive an uncertainty relation outperforming previous lower bounds. We then propose new weighted uncertainty relations for two noncompatible observables. Two separable criteria via skew information are also obtained.

A Note on Local Unitary Equivalence of Isotropic-like States

We consider the local unitary equivalence of a class of quantum states in bipartite case and multipartite case. The necessary and sufficient condition is presented. As special cases, the local unitary equivalent classes of isotropic state and werner state are provided. Then we study the local unitary similar equivalence of this class of quantum states and analyze the necessary and sufficient condition.

Criterion for SLOCC Equivalence of Multipartite Quantum States

We study the stochastic local operation and classical communication (SLOCC) equivalence for arbitrary dimensional multipartite quantum states. For multipartite pure states, we present a necessary and sufficient criterion in terms of their coefficient matrices. This condition can be used to classify some SLOCC equivalent quantum states with coefficient matrices having the same rank. For multipartite mixed state, we provide a necessary and sufficient condition by means of the realignment of matrix. Some detailed examples are given to identify the SLOCC equivalence of multipartite quantum states.

Local Unitary Invariants of Generic Multi-qubit States

We present a complete set of local unitary invariants for generic multi-qubit systems which gives necessary and sufficient conditions for two states being local unitary equivalent. These invariants are canonical polynomial functions in terms of the generalized Bloch representation of the quantum states. In particular, we prove that there are at most 12 polynomial local unitary invariants for two-qubit states and at most 90 polynomials for three-qubit states. Comparison with Makhlin's 18 local unitary invariants is given for two-quibit systems.

Quantum Nonlocality of Arbitrary Dimensional Bipartite States

We study the nonlocality of arbitrary dimensional bipartite quantum states. By computing the maximal violation of a set of multi-setting Bell inequalities, an analytical and computable lower bound has been derived for general two-qubit states. This bound gives the necessary condition that a two-qubit state admits no local hidden variable models. The lower bound is shown to be better than that from the CHSH inequality in judging the nonlocality of some quantum states. The results are generalized to the case of high dimensional quantum states, and a sufficient condition for detecting the non-locality has been presented.

Towards Grothendieck Constants and LHV Models in Quantum Mechanics

We adopt a continuous model to estimate the Grothendieck constants. An analytical formula to compute the lower bounds of Grothendieck constants has been explicitly derived for arbitrary orders, which improves previous bounds. Moreover, our lower bound of the Grothendieck constant of order three gives a refined bound of the threshold value for the nonlocality of the two-qubit Werner states.

Local Unitary Equivalence of Multi-qubit Mixed quantum States

We present computable criterion for completely classifying multi-qubit quantum states under local unitary operations. The criterion can be used to detect whether two quantum states in multi-qubit systems are local unitary equivalent or not. Once obtaining the positive answer, we are further able to compute the corresponding unitary operators precisely. Since the scheme is based on the mean values of some quantum mechanical observables, it supplies an experimental way to judge the local equivalence of quantum states.

Local Unitary Equivalence of Arbitrary Dimensional Bipartite Mixed Quantum States

The nonlocal properties of arbitrary dimensional bipartite quantum systems are investigated. A complete set of invariants under local unitary transformations is presented. These invariants give rise to both sufficient and necessary conditions for the equivalence of quantum states under local unitary transformations: two density matrices are locally equivalent if and only if all these invariants have equal values.
