Modification of Eckart theory of relativistic dissipative fluid by introducing extended matching conditions

We deal with a novel approach to formulation of the relativistic dissipative hydrodynamics by extending the so-called matching conditions widely used in the literature. The form of the non-equilibrium entropy current can be determined by requiring thermodynamical stability of the entropy current under extended matching conditions. We derive equations of motion for the relativistic dissipative fluid based on the Eckart theory and show that linearized equations obtained from them are stable against small perturbations. It is also shown that the required fluid stability conditions are related to the causality of the model.

Nonextensive hydrodynamics for relativistic heavy-ion collisions

The nonextensive one-dimensional version of a hydrodynamical model for multiparticle production processes is proposed and discussed. It is based on nonextensive statistics assumed in the form proposed by Tsallis and characterized by a nonextensivity parameter qq. In this formulation the parameter qq characterizes some specific form of local equilibrium which is characteristic for the nonextensive thermodynamics and which replaces the usual local thermal equilibrium assumption of the usual hydrodynamical models. We argue that there is correspondence between the perfect nonextensive hydrodynamics and the usual dissipative hydrodynamics. It leads to simple expression for dissipative entropy current and allows for predictions for the ratio of bulk and shear viscosities to entropy density, ζ/sζ/s and η/sη/s, to be made.

Event-by-event fluctuations in hydrodynamical description of heavy-ion collisions

Effects caused by the event-by-event fluctuation of the initial conditions in hydrodynamical description of high-energy heavy-ion collisions are investigated. Non-negligible effects appear for several observable quantities, even for a fixed impact parameter b⃗\vec b . They are sensitive to the equation of state, being the dispersions of the observable quantities in general smaller when the QGP phase appears at the beginning of hydrodynamic evolution than when the fluid remains hadron gas during whole the evolution.

Quasiscaling in the analysis of the yield ratio π−/π+π^-/π^+: Mathematical structure and estimation of source size

Recently we have found that integral of the squared Coulomb wave function describing systemcomposed of charged pion and central charged fragment ZeffZ_{eff} protons, ∣ψr(r)∣2|ψ_r(r)|^2, times pion source function ρ(r)ρ(r) (of the size ββ), $\intdr |ψ_r(r)|^2 ρ(r)$, shows a quasiscaling behavior. This is approximately invariant under the following transformation: (β,Zeff)→(λβ,λZeff)(β,Z_{eff}) \to (λβ,λZ_{eff}); λ>0λ>0. We called such behavior β−Zeffβ-Z_{eff} quasiscaling. We examine this quasiscaling behavior in detail. In particular we provide a semi-analytical examination of this behavior and confirm it for the exponential pionic source functions in addition to the Gaussian ones and for the production of K mesons as well. When combined with the results of the HBT, a result of the yield ratio allows us to estimate the size of the central charged fragment (CCF) to be 125≤Zeff≤150125\le Z_{eff}\le 150 for Pb+Pb collisions at energy 158 GeV/nucleon. From our estimation, the baryon number density 0.024≤nB≤0.0360.024 \le n_{B}\le0.036 [1/fm^3] is obtained.
