Integrality structures in topological strings and quantum 22-functions

In this article, we first prove the integrality of open string BPS numbers for a class of toric Calabi-Yau manifolds named generalized conifolds, by applying the method introduced in our previous work \cite{LZ} to the explicit disk counting formula obtained in \cite{PS}. Then, motivated by the integrality structures in open topological string theory, we introduce a mathematical notion of ``quantum 2-function'' which can be viewed as the quantization of the notion of ``2-function'' introduced in \cite{SVW1}. Finally, we provide a basic example of quantum 2-function and discuss the quantization of 2-functions.

Integrality structures in topological strings I: framed unknot

We study the open string integrality invariants (LMOV invariants) for toric Calabi-Yau 3-folds with Aganagic-Vafa brane (AV-brane). In this paper, we focus on the case of the resolved conifold with one out AV-brane in any integer framing ττ, which is the large NN duality of the Chern-Simons theory for a framed unknot with integer framing ττ in S3S^3. We compute the explicit formulas for the LMOV invariants in genus g=0g=0 with any number of holes, and prove their integrality. For the higher genus LMOV invariants with one hole, they are reformulated into a generating function gm(q,a)g_{m}(q,a), and we prove that gm(q,a)∈(q1/2−q−1/2)−2Z[(q1/2−q−1/2)2,a±1/2]g_{m}(q,a)\in (q^{1/2}-q^{-1/2})^{-2}\mathbb{Z}[(q^{1/2}-q^{-1/2})^2,a^{\pm 1/2}] for any integer m≥1m\geq 1. As a by product, we compute the reduced open string partition function of C3\mathbb{C}^3 with one AV-brane in framing ττ. We find that, for τ≤−1τ\leq -1, this open string partition function is equivalent to the Hilbert-Poincaré series of the Cohomological Hall algebra of the ∣τ∣|τ|-loop quiver. It gives an open string GW/DT correspondence.

Congruent skein relations for colored HOMFLY-PT invariants and colored Jones polynomials

Colored HOMFLY-PT invariant, the generalization of the colored Jones polynomial, is one of the most important quantum invariants of links. This paper is devoted to investigating the basic structures of the colored HOMFLY-PT invariants of links. By using the HOMFLY-PT skein theory, firstly, we show that the (reformulated) colored HOMFLY-PT invariants actually lie in the ring Z[(q−q−1)2,t±1]\mathbb{Z}[(q-q^{-1})^2,t^{\pm 1}]. Secondly, we establish some symmetric formulas for colored HOMFLY-PT invariants of links, which include the rank-level duality as an easy consequence. Finally, motivated by the Labastida-Mariño-Ooguri-Vafa conjecture for framed links, we propose congruent skein relations for (reformulated) colored HOMFLY-PT invariants which are the generalizations of the skein relation for classical HOMFLY-PT polynomials. Then we study the congruent skein relation for colored Jones polynomials. In fact, we obtain a succinct formula for the case of knot. As an application, we prove a vanishing result for Reshetikhin-Turaev invariants of a family of 3-manifolds. Finally we study the congruent skein relations for SU(n)SU(n) quantum invariants.

Volume conjecture for SU(n)SU(n)-invariants

This paper discuss an intrinsic relation among congruent relations \cite{CLPZ}, cyclotomic expansion and Volume Conjecture for SU(n)SU(n) invariants. Motivated by the congruent relations for SU(n)SU(n) invariants obtained in our previous work \cite{CLPZ}, we study certain limits of the SU(n)SU(n) invariants at various roots of unit. First, we prove a new symmetry property for the SU(n)SU(n) invariants by using a symmetry of colored HOMFLYPT invariants. Then we propose some conjectural formulas including the cyclotomic expansion conjecture and volume conjecture for SU(n)SU(n) invariants (specialization of colored HOMFLYPT invariants). We also give the proofs of these conjectural formulas for the case of figure-eight knot.

Full Colored HOMFLYPT Invariants, Composite Invariants and Congruent Skein Relation

In this paper, we investigate the properties of the full colored HOMFLYPT invariants in the full skein of the annulus C\mathcal{C}. We show that the full colored HOMFLYPT invariant has a nice structure when q→1q\rightarrow 1. The composite invariant is a combination of the full colored HOMFLYPT invariants. In order to study the framed LMOV type conjecture for composite invariants, we introduce the framed reformulated composite invariant Rˇp(L)\check{\mathcal{R}}_{p}(\mathcal{L}). By using the HOMFLY skein theory, we prove that Rˇp(L)\check{\mathcal{R}}_{p}(\mathcal{L}) lies in the ring 2Z[(q−q−1)2,t±1]2\mathbb{Z}[(q-q^{-1})^2,t^{\pm 1}]. Furthermore, we propose a conjecture of congruent skein relation for Rˇp(L)\check{\mathcal{R}}_{p}(\mathcal{L}) and prove it for certain special cases.

The higher order terms in asymptotic expansion of color Jones polynomials

Color Jones polynomial is one of the most important quantum invariants in knot theory. Finding the geometric information from the color Jones polynomial is an interesting topic. In this paper, we study the general expansion of color Jones polynomial which includes the volume conjecture expansion and the Melvin-Morton-Rozansky (MMR) expansion as two special cases. Following the recent works on SL(2,C) Chern-Simons theory, we present an algorithm to calculate the higher order terms in general asymptotic expansion of color Jones polynomial from the view of A-polynomial and noncommutative A-polynomial. Moreover, we conjecture that the MMR expansion corresponding to the abelian branch of A-polynomial. Lastly, we give some examples to illustrate how to calculate the higher order terms. These results support our conjecture.

The Laplace transform of the cut-and-join equation of Mariño-Vafa formula and its applications

By the same method introduced in [9], we calculate the Laplace transform of the celebrated cut-and-join equation of Mariño-Vafa formula discovered by C. Liu, K. Liu and J. Zhou [17]. Then, we study the applications of the polynomial identity (1) obtained in theorem 1.1 of this paper. We show the proof Bouchard-Mariño conjecture for C^3 which was given by L. Chen [5] Firstly. Subsequently, we will present how to obtain series Hodge integral identities from this polynomial identity (1). In particular, the main result in [9] is one of special case in such series of Hodge integral identities. At last, we give a explicit formula for the computation of Hodge integral <τ_{b_L}\lamda_{g}\lamda_{1}>_{g} where b_L = (b_1,..,b_l).
