Translation quiver varieties

We introduce a framework of translation quiver varieties which includes Nakajima quiver varieties as well as their graded and cyclic versions. An important feature of translation quiver varieties is that the sets of their fixed points under toric actions can be again realized as translation quiver varieties. This allows one to simplify quiver varieties in several steps. We prove that translation quiver varieties are smooth, pure and have Tate motivic classes. We also describe an algorithm to compute those motivic classes.

Wall-crossing structures on surfaces

Families of Bridgeland stability conditions induce families of stability data, wall-crossing structures and scattering diagrams on the motivic Hall algebra. These structures can be transferred to the quantum torus if the stability conditions of the family have global dimension at most 2. We show that geometric stability conditions on surfaces with nef anticanonical bundle have global dimension 2 and we study the resulting family of stability data. We formulate a conjecture relating this family to the family of stability data associated with a quiver with potential and we verify this conjecture for the projective plane.

Operadic approach to wall-crossing

Wall-crossing phenomena are ubiquitous in many problems of algebraic geometry and theoretical physics. Various ways to encode the relevant information and the need to track the changes under the variation of parameters lead to rather complicated transformation rules and non-trivial combinatorial problems. In this paper we propose a framework, reminiscent of collections and plethysms in the theory of operads, that conceptualizes those transformation rules. As an application we obtain new streamlined proofs of some existing wall-crossing formulas as well as some new formulas related to attractor invariants.

Counting Higgs bundles and type A quiver bundles

We prove a closed formula counting semistable twisted (or meromorphic) Higgs bundles of fixed rank and degree over a smooth projective curve of genus g, defined over a finite field, when the degree of the twisting line bundle is at least 2g-2; this includes the case of usual Higgs bundles. We obtain at the same time a closed expression for the Donaldson-Thomas invariants of the moduli spaces of twisted Higgs bundles. We similarly deal with twisted quiver bundles of type A (affine or finite), obtaining in particular a Harder-Narasimhan-type formula counting semistable U(p,q)-bundles over any smooth projective curve over a finite field.

Higgs bundles over P^1 and quiver representations

In this note we prove a new explicit formula for the invariants of moduli spaces of twisted Higgs bundles over P^1 and we relate these invariants to the invariants of moduli spaces of representations of some infinite symmetric quiver. The formula can be easily implemented for computations and it is in agreement with the existing conjectures for the invariants of twisted Higgs bundles over curves. Results of this note were presented in Oberwolfach in May 2014.

Moduli spaces of stable pairs and non-abelian zeta functions of curves via wall-crossing

In this paper we study and relate the non-abelian zeta functions introduced by Weng and invariants of the moduli spaces of arbitrary rank stable pairs over curves. We prove a wall-crossing formula for the latter invariants and obtain an explicit formula for these invariants in terms of the motive of a curve. Previously, formulas for these invariants were known only for rank 2 due to Thaddeus and for rank 3 due to Muñoz. Using these results we obtain an explicit formula for the non-abelian zeta functions, we check the uniformity conjecture by Weng for the ranks 2 and 3, and we prove the counting miracle conjecture.

Motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants and McKay correspondence

Let $G\subset SL_2(C)\subset SL_3(C)$ be a finite group. We compute motivic Pandharipande-Thomas and Donaldson-Thomas invariants of the crepant resolution $Hilb^G(C^3)$ of $C^3/G$ generalizing results of Gholampour and Jiang who computed numerical DT/PT invariants using localization techniques. Our formulas rely on the computation of motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants for a special class of quivers with potentials. We show that these motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants are closely related to the polynomials counting absolutely indecomposable quiver representations over finite fields introduced by Kac. We formulate a conjecture on the positivity of Donaldson-Thomas invariants for a broad class of quivers with potentials. This conjecture, if true, implies the Kac positivity conjecture for arbitrary quivers.

Motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants of the conifold and the refined topological vertex

We compute the motivic Donaldson-Thomas theory of the resolved conifold, in all chambers of the space of stability conditions of the corresponding quiver. The answer is a product formula whose terms depend on the position of the stability vector, generalizing known results for the corresponding numerical invariants. Our formulae imply in particular a motivic form of the DT/PT correspondence for the resolved conifold. The answer for the motivic PT series is in full agreement with the prediction of the refined topological vertex formalism.

On the motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants of quivers with potentials

We study motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants for a class of quivers with potentials using the strategy of Behrend, Bryan, and Szendroi. This class includes quivers with potentials arising from consistent brane tilings and quivers with zero potential. Our construction is an alternative to the constructions of Kontsevich and Soibelman. We construct an integration map from the equivariant Hall algebra to the quantum torus and show that our motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants are images of the natural elements in the equivariant Hall algebra. We show that the inegration map is an algebra homomorphism and use this fact to prove the Harder-Narasimhan relation for the motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants.

Solutions of the motivic ADHM recursion formula

We give an explicit solution of the ADHM recursion formula conjectured by Chuang, Diaconescu, and Pan. This solution is closely related to the formula for the Hodge polynomials of Higgs moduli spaces conjectured by Hausel and Rodriguez-Villegas. We solve also the twisted motivic ADHM recursion formula. As a byproduct we obtain a conjectural formula for the motives of twisted Higgs moduli spaces, which generalizes the conjecture of Hausel and Rodriguez-Villegas.
