Tsallis holographic dark energy in Fractal Universe

We study the cosmological consequences of interacting Tsallis holographic dark energy model in the framework of the fractal universe, in which, the Hubble radius is considered as the IR cut-off. We drive the equation of state (EoS) parameter, deceleration parameter and the evolution equation for the Tsallis holographic dark energy density parameter. Our study shows that this model can describe the current accelerating Universe in both noninteracting and interacting scenarios, and also a transition occurs from the deceleration phase to the accelerated phase, at the late time. Finally, we check the compatibility of free parameters of the model with the latest observational results by using the Pantheon supernovae data, eBOSS, 6df, BOSS DR12, CMB Planck 2015, Gamma-Ray Burst.

Holographic dark energy in the DGP braneworld with GO cutoff

We consider the holographic dark energy (HDE) model in the framework of DGP braneworld with Granda-Oliveros infrared (IR) cutoff, $L=(α\dot{H}+βH^2)^{-1/2}$. With this choice for IR cutoff, we are able to derive evolution of the cosmological parameters such as the equation of state and the deceleration parameters, $w$ and $q$, as the functions of the redshift parameter $z$. As far as we know, most previous models of HDE presented in the literatures, do not gives analytically $ω=ω(z)$ and $q=q(z)$. We plot the evolution of these parameters versus $z$ and discuss that the results are compatible with the recent observations. With suitably choosing the parameters, this model can exhibit a transition from deceleration to the acceleration around $z\approx 0.6$. Then, we suggest a correspondence between the quintessence and tachyon scalar fields and HDE in the framework of DGP braneworld. This correspondence allows us to reconstruct the evolution of the scalar fields and the scalar potentials. We also investigate stability of the presented model by calculating the squared sound speed, $v^2_s$, whose sign determines the stability of the model. Our study shows that $v^2_s$ could be positive provided the parameters of the model are chosen suitably. In particular, for $α>1$, $β>0$, and $α<1$, $β<0$, we have $v^2_s>0$ during the history of the universe, and so the stable dark energy dominated universe can be achieved. This is in contrast to the HDE in standard cosmology, which is unstable against background perturbations and so cannot lead to a stable dark energy dominated universe.

New holographic dark energy model inspired by the DGP braneworld

The energy density of the holographic dark energy is based on the area law of entropy, and thus any modification of the area law leads to a modified holographic energy density. Inspired by the entropy expression associated with the apparent horizon of a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) Universe in DGP braneworld, we propose a new model for the holographic dark energy in the framework of DGP brane cosmology. We investigate the cosmological consequences of this new model and calculate the equation of state parameter by choosing the Hubble radius, $L = H^{-1}$, as the system's IR cutoff. Our study show that, due to the effects of the extra dimension (bulk), the identification of IR-cutoff with Hubble radius, can reproduce the present acceleration of the Universe expansion. This is in contrast to the ordinary holographic dark energy in standard cosmology which leads to the zero equation of state parameter in the case of choosing the Hubble radius as system's IR cutoff in the absence of interaction between dark matter and dark energy.

Statefinder diagnosis for holographic dark energy in the DGP braneworld

Many dark energy (DE) models have been proposed, in recent years, to explain acceleration of the Universe expansion. It seems necessary to discriminate the various DE models in order to check the viability of each model. Statefinder diagnostic is a useful method which can differentiate various DE models. In this paper, we investigate the statefinder diagnosis parameters for the holographic dark energy (HDE) model in two cosmological setup. First, we study statefinder diagnosis for HDE in the context of flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) Universe in Einstein gravity. Then, we extend our study to the DGP braneworld framework. As system's IR cutoff we chose the Hubble radius and the Granda-Oliveros cutoff inspired by Ricci scalar curvature. We plot the evolution of statefinder parameres $\{r,s\}$ in terms of the redshift parameter $z$. We also compare the results with those obtained for statefinder diagnosis parameters of other DE models, in particular with $Λ$CDM model.

Entropy-corrected new agegraphic dark energy in Horava-Lifshitz cosmology

We study the entropy-corrected version of the new agegraphic dark energy (NADE) model and dark matter in a spatially non-flat Universe and in the framework of Hořava-Lifshitz cosmology. For the two cases containing noninteracting and interacting entropy-corrected NADE (ECNADE) models, we derive the exact differential equation that determines the evolution of the ECNADE density parameter. Also the deceleration parameter is obtained. Furthermore, using a parametrization of the equation of state parameter of the ECNADE model as $ω_Λ(z)=ω_0+ω_1 z$, we obtain both $ω_0$ and $ω_1$. We find that in the presence of interaction, the equation of state parameter $ω_0$ of this model can cross the phantom divide line which is compatible with the observation.

Power Law Entropy Corrected New-Agegraphic Dark Energy in Hořava-Lifshitz Cosmology

We investigate the new agegraphic dark energy (NADE) model with power-law corrected entropy in the framework of Hořava-Lifshitz cosmology. For a non-flat universe containing the interacting power-law entropy-corrected NADE (PLECNADE) with dark matter, we obtain the differential equation of the evolution of density parameter as well as the deceleration parameter. To study parametric behavior, we used an interesting form of state parameter as function of redshift $ω_Λ(z)=ω_0+ω_1 z$. We found that phantom crossing occurs for the state parameter for a non-zero coupling parameter, thus supporting interacting dark energy model.

Generalized second law of thermodynamics in modified FRW cosmology with corrected entropy-area relation

Using the corrected entropy-area relation motivated by the loop quantum gravity, we investigate the validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics in the framework of modified FRW cosmology. We consider a non-flat universe filled with an interacting viscous dark energy with dark matter and radiation. The boundary of the universe is assumed to be the dynamical apparent horizon. We find out that the generalized second law is always satisfied throughout the history of the universe for any spatial curvature regardless of the dark energy model.

The generalized second law for the interacting generalized Chaplygin gas model

We investigate the validity of the generalized second law (GSL) of gravitational thermodynamics in a non-flat FRW universe containing the interacting generalized Chaplygin gas with the baryonic matter. The dynamical apparent horizon is assumed to be the boundary of the universe. We show that for the interacting generalized Chaplygin gas as a unified candidate for dark matter (DM) and dark energy (DE), the equation of state parameter can cross the phantom divide. We also present that for the selected model under thermal equilibrium with the Hawking radiation, the GSL is always satisfied throughout the history of the universe for any spatial curvature, independently of the equation of state of the interacting generalized Chaplygin gas model.

The generalized second law of gravitational thermodynamics on the apparent and event horizons in FRW cosmology

We investigate the validity of the generalized second law of gravitational thermodynamics on the apparent and event horizons in a non-flat FRW universe containing the interacting dark energy with dark matter. We show that for the dynamical apparent horizon, the generalized second law is always satisfied throughout the history of the universe for any spatial curvature and it is independent of the equation of state parameter of the interacting dark energy model. Whereas for the cosmological event horizon, the validity of the generalized second law depends on the equation of state parameter of the model.

Thermodynamics of apparent horizon in modified FRW universe with power-law corrected entropy

We derive the modified Friedmann equation corresponding to the power-law corrected entropy-area relation $S_{\rm A}=\frac{A}{4}[1-K_α A^{1-\fracα{2}}]$ which is motivated by the entanglement of quantum fields in and out of the apparent horizon. We consider a non-flat modified FRW universe containing an interacting viscous dark energy with dark matter and radiation. For the selected model, we study the effect of the power-law correction term to the entropy on the dynamics of dark energy. Furthermore, we investigate the validity of the generalized second law (GSL) of gravitational thermodynamics on the apparent horizon and conclude that the GSL is satisfied for $α<2$.

The generalized second law in irreversible thermodynamics for the interacting dark energy in a non-flat FRW universe enclosed by the apparent horizon

We investigate the validity of the generalized second law in irreversible thermodynamics in a non-flat FRW universe containing the interacting dark energy with cold dark matter. The boundary of the universe is assumed to be enclosed by the dynamical apparent horizon. We show that for the present time, the generalized second law in nonequilibrium thermodynamics is satisfied for the special range of the energy transfer constants.
