Automorphisms and representations of quasi Laurent polynomial algebras

We study automorphisms and representations of quasi polynomial algebras (QPAs) and quasi Laurent polynomial algebras (QLPAs). For any QLPA defined by an arbitrary skew symmetric integral matrix, we explicitly describe its automorphism groups at generic $q$ and at roots of unity. Any QLPA is isomorphic to the tensor product of copies of the QLPA of degree $2$ at different powers of $q$ and the centre, thus the study of representations of QPAs and QLPAs largely reduces to that of ${\mathcal L}_q(2)$ and ${\mathcal A}_q(2)$, the QLPA and QPA of degree $2$. We study a category of ${\mathcal A}_q(2)$-modules which have finite covers by submodules with natural local finiteness properties and satisfy some condition under localisation, determining its blocks, classifying the simple objects and providing two explicitly constructions for the simples. One construction produces the simple ${\mathcal A}_q(2)$-modules from ${\mathcal L}_q(2)$-modules via monomorphisms composed of the natural embedding of ${\mathcal A}_q(2)$ in ${\mathcal L}_q(2)$ and automorphisms of ${\mathcal L}_q(2)$, and the other explores a class of holonomic ${\mathcal D}_q$-modules for the algebra ${\mathcal D}_q$ of $q$-differential operators.

Autonomous and Adaptive Navigation for Terrestrial-Aerial Bimodal Vehicles

Terrestrial-aerial bimodal vehicles bloom in both academia and industry because they incorporate both the high mobility of aerial vehicles and the long endurance of ground vehicles. In this work, we present an autonomous and adaptive navigation framework to bring complete autonomy to this class of vehicles. The framework mainly includes 1) a hierarchical motion planner that generates safe and low-power terrestrial-aerial trajectories in unknown environments and 2) a unified motion controller which dynamically adjusts energy consumption in terrestrial locomotion. Extensive real-world experiments and benchmark comparisons are conducted on a customized robot platform to validate the proposed framework's robustness and performance. During the tests, the robot safely traverses complex environments with terrestrial-aerial integrated mobility, and achieves $7\times$ energy savings in terrestrial locomotion. Finally, we will release our code and hardware configuration for the reference of the community.

Representations of Quantum Coordinate Algebras at Generic $q$ and Wiring Diagrams

This paper is devoted to the representation theory of quantum coordinate algebra $\mathbb{C}_q[G]$, for a semisimple Lie group $G$ and a generic parameter $q$. By inspecting the actions of normal elements on tensor modules, we generalize a result of Levendorski and Soibelman in [22] for highest weight modules. For a double Bruhat cell $G^{w_1,w_2}$, we describe the primitive spectra $\mathrm{prim}\,\mathbb{C}_q[G]_{w_1,w_2}$ in a new fashion, and construct a bundle of $(w_1,w_2)$ type simple modules onto $\mathrm{prim}\,\mathbb{C}_q[G]_{w_1,w_2}$, provided $\mathrm{Supp}(w_1)\cap\mathrm{Supp}(w_2)=\varnothing$ or enough pivot elements. The fibers of the bundle are shown to be products of the spectrums of simple modules of 2-dimensional quantum torus $L_q(2)$. As an application of our theory, we deduce an equivalent condition for the tensor module to be simple, and construct some simple modules for each primitive ideal when $G=SL_3(\mathbb{C})$. This completes the Dixmier's program for $\mathbb{C}_q[SL_3]$. The wiring diagrams, introduced by Fomin and Zelevinsky in their study of total positivity (cf. [3,9]), is the main tool to compute the action of generalized quantum minors on tensor modules in the type A case. We obtain a quantum version of Lindström's lemma, which plays an important role in transforming representation problems into combinatorial ones of wiring diagrams.

Invariants of the special orthogonal group and an enhanced Brauer category

We first give a short intrinsic, diagrammatic proof of the First Fundamental Theorem of invariant theory (FFT) for the special orthogonal group $\text{SO}_m(\mathbb{C})$, given the FFT for $\text{O}_m(\mathbb{C})$. We then define, by means of a presentation with generators and relations, an enhanced Brauer category $\widetilde{\mathcal{B}}(m)$ by adding a single generator to the usual Brauer category $\mathcal{B}(m)$, together with four relations. We prove that our category $\widetilde{\mathcal{B}}(m)$ is actually (and remarkably) {\em equivalent} to the category of representations of $\text{SO}_m$ generated by the natural representation. The FFT for $\text{SO}_m$ amounts to the surjectivity of a certain functor $\mathcal{F}$ on $\text{Hom}$ spaces, while the Second Fundamental Theorem for $\text{SO}_m$ says simply that $\mathcal{F}$ is injective on $\text{Hom}$ spaces. This theorem provides a diagrammatic means of computing the dimensions of spaces of homomorphisms between tensor modules for $\text{SO}_m$ (for any $m$). These methods will be applied to the case of the orthosymplectic Lie algebras $\text{osp}(m|2n)$, where the super-Pfaffian enters, in a future work.

The first fundamental theorem of invariant theory for the orthosymplectic supergroup

We give an elementary proof of the first fundamental theorem of the invariant theory for the orthosymplectic supergroup by generalising the method of Atiyah, Bott and Patodi to the supergroup context. We use methods from super-algebraic geometry to convert invariants of the orthosymplectic supergroup into invariants of the corresponding general linear supergroup on a different space. In this way, a super Schur-Weyl-Brauer duality is established between the orthosymplectic supergroup of superdimension $(m|2n)$ and the Brauer algebra with parameter $m-2n$. The result may be interpreted in terms of the relevant Harish-Chandra super pair action (over the complex field), or equivalently, the orthosymplectic Lie supergroup over the infinite dimensional Grassmann algebra. We also state a corresponding theorem for the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra, which involves an extra invariant generator, the super-Pfaffian.

Invariant integration on orthosymplectic and unitary supergroups

The orthosymplectic supergroup OSp(m|2n) and unitary supergroup U(p|q) are studied following a new approach that starts from Harish-Chandra pairs and links the sheaf-theoretical supermanifold approach of Berezin and others with the differential geometry approach of Rogers and others. The matrix elements of the fundamental representation of the Lie supergroup G are expressed in terms of functions on the product supermanifold G_0 x R^{0|N}, with G_0 the underlying Lie group and N the odd dimension of G. This product supermanifold is isomorphic to the supermanifold of G. This leads to a new expression for the standard generators of the corresponding Lie superalgebra g as invariant derivations on G. Using these results a new and transparent formula for the invariant integrals on OSp(m|2n) and U(p|q) is obtained.

Detecting Cohomology for Lie Superalgebras

In this paper we use invariant theory to develop the notion of cohomological detection for Type I classical Lie superalgebras. In particular we show that the cohomology with coefficients in an arbitrary module can be detected on smaller subalgebras. These results are used later to affirmatively answer questions, which were originally posed in \cite{BKN1} and \cite{BaKN}, about realizing support varieties for Lie superalgebras via rank varieties constructed for the smaller detecting subalgebras.

Topological Vortices in Chiral Gauge Theory of Graphene

Generation mechanism of energy gaps between conductance and valence bands is at the centre of the study of graphene material. Recently Chamon, Jackiw, et al. proposed a mechanism of using a Kekulé distortion background field $% φ$ and its induced gauge potential $A_{i}$ to generate energy gaps. In this paper various vortex structures inhering in this model are studied. Regarding $φ$ as a generic background field rather than a fixed Nielson-Oleson type distribution, we have found two new types of vortices on the graphene surface --- the velocity field vortices and the monopole-motion induced vortices --- from the inner structure of the potential $A_{i}$. These vortex structures naturally arise from the motion of the Dirac fermions instead of from the background distortion field.

Generalized MICZ-Kepler Problems and Unitary Highest Weight Modules

For each integer $n\ge 1$, we demonstrate that a $(2n+1)$-dimensional generalized MICZ-Kepler problem has an $\mr{Spin}(2, 2n+2)$ dynamical symmetry which extends the manifest $\mr{Spin}(2n+1)$ symmetry. The Hilbert space of bound states is shown to form a unitary highest weight $\mr{Spin}(2, 2n+2)$-module which occurs at the first reduction point in the Enright-Howe-Wallach classification diagram for the unitary highest weight modules. As a byproduct, we get a simple geometric realization for such a unitary highest weight $\mr{Spin}(2, 2n+2)$-module.
