Integrable motion of anisotropic space curves and surfaces induced by the Landau-Lifshitz equation

In this paper, we have studied the geometrical formulation of the Landau-Lifshitz equation (LLE) and established its geometrical equivalent counterpart as some generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation. When the anisotropy vanishes, from this result follows the well-known results corresponding for the isotropic case, i.e. to the Heisenberg ferromagnet equation and the focusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The relations between the LLE and the differential geometry of space curves in the local and nonlocal cases are studied. Using the well-known Sym-Tafel formula, the soliton surfaces induced by the LLE are briefly considered.

Spectrum of Primordial Gravitational Waves in Modified Gravities: A Short Overview

In this work we shall exhaustively study the effects of modified gravity on the energy spectrum of the primordial gravitational waves background. S. Weinberg has also produced significant works related to the primordial gravitational waves with the most important one being the effects of neutrinos on primordial gravitational waves. With this sort review, our main aim is to gather all the necessary information for studying the effects of modified gravity on primordial gravitational waves in a concrete and quantitative way and in a single paper. After reviewing all the necessary techniques for extracting the general relativistic energy spectrum, and how to obtain in a WKB way the modified gravity damping or amplifying factor, we concentrate on specific forms of modified gravity of interest. The most important parameter involved for the calculation of the effects of modified gravity on the energy spectrum is the parameter $a_M$ which we calculate for the cases of $f(R,ϕ)$ gravity, Chern-Simons-corrected $f(R,ϕ)$ gravity, Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-corrected $f(R,ϕ)$ gravity, and higher derivative extended Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-corrected $f(R,ϕ)$ gravity. The exact forms of $a_M$ is presented explicitly for the first time in the literature. With regard to Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-corrected $f(R,ϕ)$ gravity, and higher derivative extended Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-corrected $f(R,ϕ)$ gravity theories, we focus on the case that the gravitational wave propagating speed is equal to that of light's in vacuum. We provide expressions for $a_M$ expressed in terms of the cosmic time and in terms of the redshift, which can be used directly for the numerical calculation of the effect of modified gravity on the primordial gravitational wave energy spectrum.

Three-partite vertex model and knot invariants

This work is dedicated to the consideration of the construction of a representation of braid group generators from vertex models with $N$-states, which provides a great way to study the knot invariant. An algebraic formula is proposed for the knot invariant when different spins $(N-1)/2$ are located on all components of the knot. The work summarizes procedure outputting braid generator representations from three-partite vertex model. This representation made it possible to study the invariant of a knot with multi-colored links, where the components of the knot have different spins. The formula for the invariant of knot with a multi-colored link is studied from the point of view of the braid generators obtained from the $R$-matrices of three-partite vertex models. The resulting knot invariant $5_2$ corresponds to the Jones polynomial and HOMFLY-PT.

Cosmological Einstein-Maxwell model with $g$-essence

In this paper, we study the model of the late universe with the homogeneous, isotropic and flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker metric, where the source of the gravitational field is based on the fermion and boson field, with the Maxwell term $F_{μν}F^{μν} $ in four dimensions. The actuation of the Maxwell term for the Einstein gravity makes it possible to find new approaches to solve the problem of the observed accelerated expansion of the universe. Energy conditions have been obtained and studied. These conditions impose very simple and model-independent restrictions on the behaviour of energy density and pressure since they do not require a specific equation of state of matter. To consider the model, the energy conditions NEC, WEC, DEC are realized, and the SEC condition is violated. The boson and fermion fields are responsible for the accelerated regime at early times, but since the total pressure is tending toward zero for large times, a transition to a decelerated regime occurs. Maxwell field is crucial only in the early times.

Revisiting pre-inflationary universe of family of $α-$attractor in loop quantum cosmology

In this work, we revisit the dynamics of pre-inflationary universe with a family of $α-$attractor potentials, in the framework of loop quantum cosmology, in which the big bang singularity is generically resolved purely with quantum geometric effects, and replaced by a quantum bounce. At the bounce, the background evolution is divided into two distinct classes, the first is dominated by the kinetic energy of the inflaton field and the second by the potential energy. In both classes, we find the physically viable initial conditions numerically that provide not only the slow-roll inflation, but also sufficient e-folds to be compatible with observations. In the entire range of kinetic energy dominated initial conditions (except some subsets of Models 2 and 4), the background evolution prior to reheating is always split into three different phases: bouncing, transition and slow-roll inflation. In the bouncing phase, the numerical evolution of the scale factor is independent not only of the initial data, but also the inflationary potentials, as long as it is dominated by the kinetic energy, and can be well approximated by an analytical solution, whereas in the potential energy dominated case, such approximated results do not exist. Moreover, we study the phase space analysis for a class of $α-$attractor potentials, and discuss the phase space trajectories for physically viable initial conditions of the inflaton field.

Cosmic acceleration from coupling of baryonic and dark matter components: Analysis and diagnostics

In this paper, we examine a scenario in which late-time cosmic acceleration might arise due to the coupling between baryonic matter and dark matter without the presence of extra degrees of freedom. In this case, one can obtain late-time acceleration in Jordan frame and not in Einstein frame. We consider two different forms of parametrization of the coupling function, and put constraints on the model parameters by using an integrated datasets of Hubble parameter, Type Ia supernova and baryon acoustic oscillations. The models under consideration are consistent with the observations. In addition, we perform the statefinder and $Om$ diagnostics, and show that the models exhibit a distinctive behavior due to the phantom characteristic in future which is a generic feature of the underlying scenario.

Galileons, phantom fields, and the fate of the Universe

In this paper we study cosmological dynamics of phantom as well as non-phantom fields with linear potential in presence of Galileon correction $(\partial_μϕ\partial^μϕ) \Box ϕ$. We show that the Big Crunch singularity is delayed compared to the standard case; the delay crucially depends upon the strength of Galileon correction. As for the phantom Galileon, $ρ_ϕ$ is shown to grow more slowly compared to the standard phantom delaying the approach to singularity. In case, $V\sim ϕ^n, n>4$, Big Rip is also delayed, similar phenomenon is shown to take place for potentials steeper than the exponential.

Gauge Equivalence, Supersymmetry and Classical Solutions of the ospu($1, 1/1$) Heisenberg Model and the Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation

An integrable generalization of the continuous classical O$(2,1)$ pseudospin Heisenberg model to the case of the ospu$(1,1/1)$ superalgebra is constructed. The gauge equivalence of the constructed model and the related NLSE is established. We indicate a method of generating classical solutions using the global ospu$(1,1/1)$ supersymmetry. The relationship between solutions of O$(2,1)$ HM and 'superpartners' of NLSE is obtained.

Higher-Derivative $f(R,\Box R, T)$ Theories of Gravity

In literature there is a model of modified gravity in which the matter Lagrangian is coupled to the geometry via trace of the stress-energy momentum tensor $T=T_μ^μ$. This type of modified gravity is called as $f(R,T)$ in which $R$ is Ricci scalar $R=R_μ^μ$. We extend manifestly this model to include the higher derivative term $\Box R$. We derived equation of motion (EOM) for the model by starting from the basic variational principle. Later we investigate FLRW cosmology for our model. We show that de Sitter solution is unstable for a generic type of $f(R,\Box R, T)$ model. Furthermore we investigate an inflationary scenario based on this model. A graceful exit from inflation is guaranteed in this type of modified gravity.

Higher-twist mechanism and inclusive gluon production in pion-proton collisions

We calculate the contribution of the higher-twist Feynman diagrams to the large-$p_T$ inclusive gluon production cross-section in $πp$ collisions in case of the running coupling and frozen coupling approaches within perturbative and holographic QCD. The structure of infrared renormalon singularities of the higher-twist subprocess cross-section is obtained and the resummed higher-twist cross- sections (Borel sum) with the ones obtained in the framework of the frozen coupling approach and leading-twist cross-section are compared and analyzed.

Observational constraints on varying neutrino-mass cosmology

We consider generic models of quintessence and we investigate the influence of massive neutrino matter with field-dependent masses on the matter power spectrum. In case of minimally coupled neutrino matter, we examine the effect in tracker models with inverse power-law and double exponential potentials. We present detailed investigations for the scaling field with a steep exponential potential, non-minimally coupled to massive neutrino matter, and we derive constraints on field-dependent neutrino masses from the observational data.

Realization of Holographic Entanglement Temperature for a Nearly-AdS boundary

Computing the holographic entanglement entropy proposed by Ryu-Takayanagi shows that thermal energy near boundary region in $AdS_3$ gain maximum of the temperature. The absolute maxima of temperature is $T^{Max}_{E}= \frac{4G_3 ε_{\infty}}{l}$. By simple physical investigations it has become possible to predict a phase transition of first order at critical temperature $T_c\leq T_{E}$. As they predict a tail or root towards which the AdS space ultimately tend, the boundary is considered thermalized. The Phase transitions of this form have received striking theoretical and experimental verifications so far.

Reconstruction of cosmic history from a simple parametrization of H

In this paper, we propose a simple parametrization of the Hubble parameter H in order to explain the late time cosmic acceleration. We show that our proposal covers many models obtained in different schemes of parametrization under one umbrella. We demonstrate that a simple modification in the functional form of Hubble parameter can give rise to interesting cosmological phenomena such as big rip singularity, bounce and others. We have also constrained the model parameters using the latest 28 points of H(z) data for three cases which admit transition from deceleration to acceleration.

Tachyon field non-minimally coupled to massive neutrino matter

In this paper, we consider rolling tachyon, with steep run-away type of potentials non-minimally coupled to massive neutrino matter. The coupling dynamically builds up at late times as neutrino matter turns non-relativistic. In case of scaling and string inspired potentials, we have shown that non-minimal coupling leads to minimum in the field potential. Given a suitable choice of model parameters, it is shown to give rise to late-time acceleration with the desired equation of state.

Anisotropic Compact Stars in $f(G)$ Gravity

This paper is devoted to study the possibility of forming anisotropic compact stars in modified Gauss-Bonnet, namely called as $f(G)$ theory of gravity which is one of the strong candidates, responsible for the accelerated expansion of the universe. For this purpose, we have used analytical solution of Krori and Barua metric to the Einstein field equations with anisotropic form of matter and power law model of $f(G)$ gravity. To determine the unknown constants in Krori and Barua metric, we have used the sample of compact stars, 4$U$1820-30, Her X-1, SAX J 1808-3658. The physical behavior of these stars have been analyzed with the observational data. In this setting, we have checked all the regularity conditions and stability of the compact stars 4$U$1820-30, Her X-1, SAX J1808-3658.

Constraints on cosmological parameters in power-law cosmology

In this paper, we examine observational constraints on the power law cosmology; essentially dependent on two parameters $H_0$ (Hubble constant) and $q$ (deceleration parameter). We investigate the constraints on these parameters using the latest 28 points of H(z) data and 580 points of Union2.1 compilation data and, compare the results with the results of $Λ$CDM. We also forecast constraints using a simulated data set for the future JDEM, supernovae survey. Our studies give better insight into power law cosmology than the earlier done analysis by Kumar [arXiv:1109.6924] indicating it tuning well with Union2.1 compilation data but not with H(z) data. However, the constraints obtained on $<H_0>$ and $<q>$ i.e. $H_0$ average and $q$ average using the simulated data set for the future JDEM, supernovae survey are found to be inconsistent with the values obtained from the H(z) and Union2.1 compilation data. We also perform the statefinder analysis and find that the power-law cosmological models approach the standard $Λ$CDM model as $q\rightarrow -1$. Finally, we observe that although the power law cosmology explains several prominent features of evolution of the Universe, it fails in details.

Dynamics of interacting quintessence

In this paper, we investigate coupled quintessence with scaling potential assuming specific forms of the coupling as $A$ namely, $α\dot{ρ_m}$, $β\dot{ρ_ϕ}$ and $σ(\dot{ρ_m}+\dot{ρ_ϕ})$, and present phase space analysis for three different interacting models. We focus on the attractor solutions that can give rise to late time acceleration with $Ω_{DE}/Ω_{DM}$ of order unity in order to alleviate the coincidence problem.

Integrable (2+1)-Dimensional Spin Models with Self-Consistent Potentials

Integrable spin systems possess interesting geometrical and gauge invariance properties and have important applications in applied magnetism and nanophysics. They are also intimately connected to the nonlinear Schrödinger family of equations. In this paper, we identify three different integrable spin systems in (2 + 1) dimensions by introducing the interaction of the spin field with more than one scalar potential, or vector potential, or both. We also obtain the associated Lax pairs. We discuss various interesting reductions in (2 + 1) and (1 + 1) dimensions. We also deduce the equivalent nonlinear Schrödinger family of equations, including the (2 + 1)-dimensional version of nonlinear Schrödinger--Hirota--Maxwell--Bloch equations, along with their Lax pairs.

Isotropic turbulence in the dark fluid universe with inhomogeneous equation of state

We investigate the turbulence effect in dark fluid universe with linear inhomogeneous equation of state. Attention is attached to two physical situations. First, we perform the perturbative analysis of turbulence and check its effects around the Big Rip. Later, treating the turbulence energy density as a part of total dark fluid, we study the stability of the system. The result shows that the stability is achieving as the energy density of turbulence decreases, changing into heat (the radiation), in perfect agreement with the avoidance of the Big Rip.

Light mass galileon and late time acceleration of the Universe

We study Galileon scalar field model by considering the lowest order Galileon term in the lagrangian, $(\partial_μ ϕ)^2 \Boxϕ$ by invoking a field potential. We use Statefinder hierarchy to distinguish the light mass galileon models with different potentials amongst themselves and from the $Λ$CDM behaviour. The $Om$ diagnostic is applied to cosmological dynamics and observational constraints on the model parameters are studied using SN+Hubble+BAO data.

Non-equilibrium phase and entanglement entropy in 2D holographic superconductors via Gauge-String duality

An alternative method of developing the theory of non-equilibrium two dimensional holographic superconductor is to start from the definition of a time dependent $AdS_3$ background. As originally proposed, many of these formulae were cast in exponential form, but the adoption of the numeric method of expression throughout the bulk serves to show more clearly the relationship between the various parameters. The time dependence behaviour of the scalar condensation and Maxwell fields are fitted numerically. A usual value for Maxwell field on AdS horizon is $\exp(-bt)$, and the exponential $\log$ ratio is therefore $10^{-8} s^{-1}$. The coefficient $b$ of the time in the exponential term $\exp(-bt)$ can be interpreted as a tool to measure the degree of dynamical instability, its reciprocal $\frac{1}{b}$ is the time in which the disturbance is multiplied in the ratio. A discussion of some of the exponential formulae is given by the scalar field $ψ(z,t)$ near the AdS boundary. It might be possible that a long interval would elapse the system which tends to the equilibrium state when the normal mass and conformal dimensions emerged. A somewhat curious calculation has been made, to illustrate the holographic entanglement entropy for this system. The foundation of all this calculation is, of course, a knowledge of multiple (connected and disconnected) extremal surfaces. There are several cases in which exact and approximate solutions are jointly used, a variable numerical quantity is represented by a graph, and the principles of approximation are then applied to determine related numerical quantities. In the case of the disconnected phase with a finite extremal are, we find a discontinuity in the first derivative of the entanglement entropy as the conserved charge $J$ is increased.

Phase space analysis of some interacting Chaplygin gas models

The goal of this paper is to discuss phase space analysis of some interacting Chaplygin gas models in General Relativity. Chaplygin gas is one of the fluids actively considered in modern cosmology due to the fact that it is a joint model of dark energy and dark matter. In this paper we have considered various forms of interaction term Q including linear and non linear sign changeable interactions. For each case late time attractors for the field equations are found.

Quintessential inflation with canonical and noncanonical scalar fields and Planck 2015 results

We investigate two classes of models of quintessential inflation, based upon canonical as well as noncanonical scalar fields. In particular, introducing potentials steeper than the standard exponential, we construct models that can give rise to a successful inflationary phase, with signatures consistent with Planck 2015 results. Additionally, using nonminimal coupling of the scalar field with massive neutrino matter, we obtain the standard thermal history of the Universe, with late-time cosmic acceleration as the last stage of evolution. In both cases, inflation and late-time acceleration are connected by a tracker solution.

Unification of inflation and dark energy {\it à la} quintessential inflation

This pedagogical review is devoted to quintessential inflation, which refers to unification of inflation and dark energy using a single scalar field. We present a brief but concise description of the concepts needed to join the two ends, which include discussion on scalar field dynamic, conformal coupling, instant preheating and relic gravitational waves. Models of quintessential inflation broadly fall into two classes, depending upon the early and late time behavior of the field potential. In the first type we include models in which the field potential is steep for most of the history of the Universe but turn shallow at late times, whereas in the second type the potential is shallow at early times followed by a steep behavior thereafter. In models of the first category inflation can be realized by invoking high-energy brane-induced damping, which is needed to facilitate slow roll along a steep potential. In models of second type one may invoke a non-minimal coupling of the scalar field with massive neutrino matter, which might induce a minimum in the potential at late times as neutrinos turn non-relativistic. In this category we review a class of models with non-canonical kinetic term in the Lagrangian, which can comply with recent B mode polarization measurements. The scenario under consideration is distinguished by the presence of a kinetic phase, which precedes the radiative regime, giving rise to blue spectrum of gravity waves generated during inflation. We highlight the generic features of quintessential inflation and also discuss on issues related to Lyth bound.

Universality of critical magnetic field in holographic superconductor

In this letter we study aspects of the holographic superconductors analytically in the presence of a constant external magnetic field. We show that the critical temperature and critical magnetic field can be calculated at nonzero temperature. We detect the Meissner effect in such superconductors. A universal relation between black hole mass $ M$ and critical magnetic field $H_c$ is proposed as $\frac{H_c}{M^{2/3}}\leq 0.687365$. We discuss some aspects of phase transition in terms of black hole entropy and the Bekenstein's entropy to energy upper bound.

In this paper, we focus on general features of quintessential inflation which is an effort to unify inflation and dark energy using a single scalar field. We describe a class of models of quintessential inflation which can give rise to the tensor to scalar ratio of perturbations consistent with recent BICEP2 measurements. The scale of inflation in the model is around the GUT scale and there is large parameter space consistent with the recent findings.

An effective quintessence field with a power-law potential

In this paper, we consider an effective quintessence scalar field with a power-law potential interacting with a $P_{b}=ξqρ_{b}$ barotropic fluid as a first model, where $q$ is a deceleration parameter. For the second model we assume viscous polytropic gas interacting with the scalar field. We investigate problem numerically and analyze behavior of different cosmological parameter concerning to components and behavior of Universe. We also compare our results with observational data to fix parameters of the models. We find some instabilities in the first model which may disappear in the second model for the appropriate parameters. Therefore, we can propose interacting quintessence dark energy with viscous polytropic gas as a successful model to describe Universe.

Analytical holographic superconductors in $AdS_N$ Lifshitz topological black holes

We present the analytic Lifshitz solutions for a scalar field model minimally coupled with the abelian gauge field in $N$ dimensions. We also consider the presence of cosmological constant $Λ$. The Lifshitz parameter $z$ appearing in the solution plays the role of the Lorentz breaking parameter of the model. We investigate the thermodynamical properties of the solutions and discuss the energy issue. Furthermore, we study the hairy black hole solutions in which the abelian gauge field breaks the symmetry near the horizon. In the holographic picture, it is equivalent to a second order phase transition. Explicitly we show that there exists a critical temperature which is a function of the Lifshitz parameter $z$. The system below the critical temperature becomes superconductor, but the critical exponent of the model remains the same of the usual holographic superconductors without the higher order gravitational corrections, in agreement with Ginzburg-Landau theories.

Cosmological investigations of (extended) nonlinear massive gravity schemes with non-minimal coupling

In this paper we investigate the case of non-minimal coupling in the (extended) nonlinear massive gravity theories. We first consider massive gravity in the Brans-Dicke background such that the graviton mass is replaced by $A^2(σ)m$ where $σ$ is the Brans-Dicke field and $A(σ)$ is conformal coupling and show that there is no viable thermal history of the universe in this case. We then invoke a cubic galileon term as nonlinear completion of the $σ$ Lagrangian and show that there is a stable de Sitter solution in this case. However, the de Sitter is blocked by the matter phase which is also a simultaneous attractor of the dynamics. The de Sitter phase can, however, be realized by invoking unnatural fine tunings. We next investigate cosmology of quasi-dilaton nonlinear massive gravity with non-minimal coupling. As a generic feature of the non-minimal coupling, we show that the model exhibits a transient phantom phase which is otherwise impossible. While performing the observational data analysis on the models, we find that a small value of coupling constant is allowed for quasi-dilaton nonlinear massive gravity. For both the cases under consideration, it is observed that we have an effective pressure of matter which comes from the constraint equation. For mass-varying nonlinear massive gravity in the Brans-Dicke background, the effective pressure of matter is non zero which affects the evolution of the Hubble parameter thereby spoiling consistency of the model with data. As for, quasi-dilaton nonlinear massive gravity, the effective pressure of matter can be kept around zero by controlling the coupling constant, the model is shown to be fit well with observations.

Cosmology with hybrid expansion law: scalar field reconstruction of cosmic history and observational constraints

In this paper, we consider a simple form of expansion history of Universe referred to as the hybrid expansion law - a product of power-law and exponential type of functions. The ansatz by construction mimics the power-law and de Sitter cosmologies as special cases but also provides an elegant description of the transition from deceleration to cosmic acceleration. We point out the Brans-Dicke realization of the cosmic history under consideration. We construct potentials for quintessence, phantom and tachyon fields, which can give rise to the hybrid expansion law in general relativity. We investigate observational constraints on the model with hybrid expansion law applied to late time acceleration as well as to early universe a la nucleosynthesis.

Evading Lyth bound in models of quintessential inflation

Quintessential inflation refers to an attempt to unify inflation and late-time cosmic acceleration using a single scalar field. In this letter we consider two different classes of quintessential inflation, one of which is based upon a Lagrangian with non-canonical kinetic term $k^2(ϕ)\partial^μϕ\partial_μϕ$ and a steep exponential potential while the second class uses the concept of steep brane world inflation. We show that in both cases the Lyth bound can be evaded, despite the large tensor-to-scalar ratio of perturbations. The post-inflationary dynamics is consistent with nucleosynthesis constraint in these cases.

FRW cosmology of the generalized model of LQG

In this paper, we study the main cosmological properties of the classical Friedmann equations in the case of homogeneous and isotropic Friedmann-Robertson-Walker Universe and we also generalized the expression of the Friedmann equation in the case of Loop Quantum Cosmology (LQC). Considering the $M_{35}$-model, we found the solutions of the equations considered for two particular cases, i.e. $Q=0$ (i.e., the de Sitter solution) and $Q>0$. Moreover, we considered and studied two exact cosmological solutions of the $M_{35}$-model, in particular the power-law and the exponential ones. Futhermore, we also considered a third more complicated case and we derived the solution for an arbitrary function of the time $f\left(t\right)$. A scalar field description of the model is presented by constructing its self-interacting potential.

Higher order corrections of the extended Chaplygin gas cosmology with varying $G$ and $Λ$

In this paper, we study two different models of dark energy based on Chaplygin gas equation of state. The first model is the variable modified Chaplygin gas while the second one is the extended Chaplygin gas. Both models are considered in the framework of higher order $f(R)$ modified gravity. We also consider the case of time varying gravitational constant $G$ and $Λ$ for both models. We investigate some cosmological parameters such as the Hubble, the deceleration and the equation of state parameters. Then we showed that the model that we considered, extended Chaplygin gas with time-dependent $G$ and $Λ$, is consistent with the observational data. Finally we conclude with the discussion of cosmological perturbations of our model.

Integrable Motion of Curves in Self-Consistent Potentials : Relation to Spin Systems and Soliton Equations

Motion of curves and surfaces in $\R^3$ lead to nonlinear evolution equations which are often integrable. They are also intimately connected to the dynamics of spin chains in the continuum limit and integrable soliton systems through geometric and gauge symmetric connections/equivalence. Here we point out the fact that a more general situation in which the curves evolve in the presence of additional self consistent vector potentials can lead to interesting generalized spin systems with self consistent potentials or soliton equations with self consistent potentials. We obtain the general form of the evolution equations of underlying curves and report specific examples of generalized spin chains and soliton equations. These include principal chiral model and various Myrzakulov spin equations in (1+1) dimensions and their geometrically equivalent generalized nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) family of equations, including Hirota-Maxwell-Bloch equations, all in the presence of self consistent potential fields. The associated gauge equivalent Lax pairs are also presented to confirm their integrability.

Nearly Starobinsky inflation from modified gravity

We study inflation induced by (power-low) scalar curvature corrections to General Relativity. The class of inflationary scalar potentials $V(σ)\sim\exp[n\,σ]$, $n$ general parameter, is investigated in the Einsein frame and the corresponding actions in the Jordan frame are derived. We found the conditions for which these potentials are able to reproduce viable inflation according with the last cosmological data and lead to large scalar curvature corrections which emerge only at a mass scale larger than the Planck mass. Cosmological constant may appear or be set equal to zero in the Jordan frame action without changing the behaviour of the model during inflation. Moreover, polynomial corrections to General Relativity are analyzed in detail. When de Sitter space-time emerges as an exact solution of the models, it is necessary to use perturbative equations in the Jordan framework to study their dynamics during the inflation. In this case, we demonstrate that the Ricci scalar decreases after a correct amount of inflation, making the models consistent with the observable evolution of the universe.

Thermodynamics and geometry of strange quark matter

We study thermodynamic of strange quark matter (SQM) using the analytic expressions of free and internal energies. We investigate two regimes of the high density and low density separately. As a vital program, in the case of a massless gluon and massless quarks at finite temperature, we also present a geometry of thermodynamics for the gluon and Bosons using a Legendre invariance metric, it is so called as geometrothermodynamic (GTD) to better understanding of the phase transition. The GTD metric and its second order scalar invariant have been obtained, and we clarify the phase transition by study the singularities of the scalar curvature of this Riemannian metric. This method is ensemble dependence and to complete the phase transition. Meanwhile, we also investigate enthalpy and entropy and internal energy representations. Our work exposes new pictures of the nature of phase transitions in SQM.

Trace-anomaly driven inflation in modified gravity and the BICEP2 result

We derive the stress-energy tensor of the quantum anomaly in the flat homogeneous and isotropic universe. We investigate a suitable toy model of exponential gravity plus the quantum contribution due to the conformal anomaly, which leads to the de Sitter solution. It is shown that in $F(R)$ gravity model, the curvature perturbations with its enough amplitude consistent with the observations are generated during inflation. We also evaluate the number of $e$-folds at the inflationary stage and the spectral index $n_\mathrm{s}$ of scalar modes of the curvature perturbations by analogy with scalar tensor theories, and compare them with the observational data. As a result, it is found that the Ricci scalar decreases during inflation and the standard evolution history of the universe is recovered at the small curvature regime. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that in our model, the tensor-to-scalar ratio of the curvature perturbations can be a finite value within the $68\%\,\mathrm{CL}$ error of the very recent result found by the BICEP2 experiment.

Variable gravity: A suitable framework for quintessential inflation

In this paper, we investigate a scenario of variable gravity and apply it to the unified description of inflation and late time cosmic acceleration dubbed quintessential inflation. The scalar field called "cosmon" which in this model unifies both the concepts reduces to inflaton at early epochs. We calculate the slow-roll parameters, the Hubble parameter at the end of inflation, the reheating temperature, the tensor-to-scalar ration and demonstrate the agreement of the model with observations and the Planck data.As for the post inflationary dynamics, cosmon tracks the background before it exits the scaling regime at late times. The scenario gives rise to correct epoch sequence of standard cosmology, namely, radiative regime, matter phase and dark-energy. We show that the long kinetic regime after inflation gives rise to enhancement of relic gravity wave amplitude resulting into violation of nucleosynthesis constraint at the commencement of radiative regime in case of an inefficient reheating mechanism such as gravitational particle production. Instant preheating is implemented to successfully circumvent the problem. As a generic feature, the scenario gives rise to a blue spectrum for gravity waves on scales smaller than the comoving horizon scale at the commencement of the radiative regime.

A Type of Levi-Civita's Solution in Modified Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

In this letter we obtain an exact solution for cylindrically symmetric modified Gauss Bonnet gravity. This metric is a generalization of the vacuum solution of the Levi-Civita in the general relativity. It describes an isotropic perfect fluid one parameter family of the gravitational configurations which can be interpreted as the exterior metric of a cosmic string. By setting the Gauss-Bonnet coupling parameter to zero, we recover the vacuum solution in the Einstein gravity as well.

Charged Black Holes in Generalized Teleparallel Gravity

In this paper we investigate charged static black holes in 4D for generalized teleparallel models of gravity, based on torsion as the geometric object for describing gravity according to the equivalence principle. As a motivated idea, we introduce a set of non-diagonal tetrads and derive the full system of non linear differential equations. We prove that the common Schwarzschild gauge is applicable only when we study linear f(T) case. We reobtain the Reissner-Nordstrom-de Sitter (or RN-AdS) solution for the linear case of f(T) and perform a parametric cosmological reconstruction for two nonlinear models. We also study in detail a type of the no-go theorem in the framework of this modified teleparallel gravity.

Construction of a Holographic Superconductor in F(R) Gravity

We construct a toy model for holographic superconductor with non linear Maxwell field in the frame of modified gravity. By probe the bulk background by non linear Maxwell fields we show that superconductivity happens under a specific critical temperature. The effect of the non linear Maxwell field and non linear curvature corrections have been studied by analytical matching methods. We conclude that the non linearity in Maxwell field and curvature coupling make condensation harder.

Evaporation phenomena in f(T) gravity

We formulate evaporation phenomena in a generic model of generalized teleparallel gravity in Weitzenbock spacetime with diagonal and non-diagonal tetrads basis. We also perform the perturbation analysis around the constant torsion scalar solution named Nariai spacetime which is an exact solution of field equations as the limiting case of the Schwarzschild-de Sitter and in the limit where two back hole and their cosmological horizons coincide. By a carefully analysis of the horizon perturbation equation, we show that (anti)evaporation can not happen if we use a diagonal tetrad basis. This result implies that a typical black hole in any generic form of generalized teleparallel gravity is frozen in its initial state if we use the diagonal tetrads. But in the case of non-diagonal tetrads the analysis is completely different. By a suitable non trivial non-diagonal tetrad basis we investigate the linear stability of the model under perturbations of the metric and torsion simultaneously. We observe that in spite of the diagonal case, both evaporation and anti evaporation can happen. The phenomena depend on the initial phase of the horizon perturbation. In the first mode when we restrict ourselves to the first lower modes the (anti)evaporation happens. So, in non-diagonal case the physical phenomena is reasonable. This is an important advantage of using non-diagonal tetrads instead of the diagonal ones. We also see that this is an universal feature, completely independent from the form of the model.

Exploring Cylindrical Solutions in Modified f(G) Gravity

We present cylindrically symmetric solutions for a type of the Gauss-Bonnet gravity, in details. We derive the full system of the field equations and show that there exist seven families of exact solutions for three forms of viable models. By applying the method based on the effective fluid energy momentum tensor components, we evaluate the mass per unit length for the solutions. From dynamical point of the view, by evaluating the null energy condition for these configurations, we show that in some cases the azimuthal pressure breaks the energy condition. This violation of the null energy condition predicts the existence of a cylindrical wormhole.

Holographic superconductors with Weyl Corrections via gauge/gravity duality

In this paper, we analytically compute the basic parameters of the p-wave holographic superconductors with Weyl geometrical corrections using the matching method. The explicit correspondence between the critical temperature $T_c$ and the dual charge density $ρ$ has been calculated as $T_c\proptoρ^{{1}{3}}$ and the dependence of the vacuum expectation value for the dual condensate operator $\cal{O}$ on the temperature has been found analytically in the form $<{\cal O}_{+}>\propto T_c^{{3}{2}}T^{Δ-{1}{2}}\sqrt{1-({T}{T_c})^3}$. The critical exponent ${1}{2}$ is an universal quantity according to predictions of the mean field theory and independent from the Weyl coupling $γ$. Our analytical results confirm the numerical results and also agree on computations using by the variational method.

Inhomogeneous viscous fluids in FRW universe

We give a brief review of some aspects of inhomogeneous viscous fluids in a flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker Universe. In general, it is pointed out that several fluid models may bring the future Universe evolution to become singular, with the appearance of the so-called Big Rip scenario. We investigate the effects of fluids coupled with dark matter in a de Sitter Universe, by considering several cases. Due to this coupling, the coincidence problem may be solved, and if the de Sitter solution is stable, the model is also protected against the Big Rip singularity.

Looking for empty topological wormhole spacetimes in $F(R)$-modified gravity

Much attention has been recently devoted to modified theories of gravity in the attempt to efficiently describe both early inflation and late-time acceleration of our universe without referring to the cosmological constant or other ad hoc kinds of fluids. The simplest models overcome General Relativity simply by replacing $R$ with $F(R)$ in the Einstein--Hilbert action. Unfortunately, such models typically lack most of the beautiful solutions discovered in Einstein's gravity. Nonetheless, in $F(R)$ gravity, it has been possible to get at least few black holes, but still we do not know any empty wormhole-like spacetime solution. The present paper aims to explain why it is so hard to get such solutions (given that they exist). Few solutions are derived in the simplest cases while only an implicit form has been obtained in the non-trivial case.

We also carry out comparison between bimetric and DGP models using Statefinder pairs {r, s} and {r, q}. The instabilities and (anti)-evaporation of Schwarzschild-de Sitter black holes in modified gravity

We investigate the future evolution of Nariai black hole which is extremal limit of Schwarzschild-de Sitter one in modified gravity. The perturbations equations around Nariai black hole are derived in static and cosmological patches for general $F(R)$-gravity. The analytical and numerical study of several realistic $F(R)$-models shows the occurence of rich variety of scenarios: instabilities, celebrated Hawking evaporation and anti-evaporation of black hole. The realization of specific scenario depends on the model under consideration. It is remarkable that the presence of such primordial black holes at current universe may indicate towards the modified gravity which supports the anti-evaporation as preferrable model. As some generalization we extend the study of Nariai black hole evolution to modified Gauss-Bonnet gravity. The corresponding perturbations equations turn out to be much more complicated than in the case of $F(R)$ gravity. For specific example of modified Gauss-Bonnet gravity we demonstrate that Nariai solution maybe stable.

Analysis of F(R,T) Gravity Models Through Energy Conditions

This paper is devoted to study the energy conditions in F(R,T) gravity for FRW universe with perfect fluid, where $R$ is the Ricci scalar and $T$ is the torsion scalar. We construct the general energy conditions in this theory and reduce them in F(R) as well as F(T) theory of gravity. Further, we assume some viable models and investigate bounds on their constant parameters to satisfy the energy condition inequalities. We also plot some of the cases using present-day values of the cosmological parameters. It is interesting to mention here that the model F(R,T)=μR+ νT satisfies the energy conditions for different ranges of the parameters.

We start with the Lagrangian of our model and calculate its gauge symmetries and corresponding invariant quantities. We obtain the potential function for the scalar field in the exponential form. For all the symmetries obtained, we determine the gauge functions corresponding to each gauge symmmetry which include constant and dynamic gauge. We discuss cosmological implications of our model and show that it is compatible with the observational data.

Cosmic history of viable exponential gravity: Equation of state oscillations and growth index from inflation to dark energy era

A generic feature of viable $F(R)$ gravity is investigated: It is demonstrated that during the matter dominated era the large frequency oscillations of the effective dark energy may influence the behavior of higher derivatives of the Hubble parameter with the risk to produce some singular unphysical solutions at high redshift. This behavior is explicitly analyzed for realistic $F(R)$ models, in particular, exponential gravity and a power form model. To stabilize such oscillations, we consider the additional modification of the models via a correction term which does not destroy the viability properties. A detailed analysis on the future evolution of the universe and the evolution history of the growth index of the matter density perturbations are performed. Furthermore, we explore two applications of exponential gravity to the inflationary scenario. We show how it is possible to obtain different numbers of $e$-folds during the early-time acceleration by making different choices of the model parameters in the presence of ultrarelativistic matter, which destabilizes inflation and eventually leads to the exit from the inflationary stage. We execute the numerical analysis of inflation in two viable exponential gravity models. It is proved that at the end of the inflation, the effective energy density and curvature of the universe decrease and thus a unified description between inflation and the $Λ$CDM-like dark energy dominated era can be realized.

The set of modified Einstein equations is presented and the fourth coming equations are established. Specific physical expressions are assumed for the algebraic function f(T) and solutions are obtained. Moreover, general solution is obtained with finite values of u(r) on the axis r = 0, and this leads to a constant torsion scalar. Also, cosmological constant is introduced and its relation to Linet-Tian solution in GR is commented.

Interacting Ricci Dark Energy with Logarithmic Correction

Motivated by the holographic principle, it has been suggested that the dark energy density may be inversely proportional to the area $A$ of the event horizon of the universe. However, such a model would have a causality problem. In this work, we consider the entropy-corrected version of the holographic dark energy model in the non-flat FRW universe and we propose to replace the future event horizon area with the inverse of the Ricci scalar curvature. We obtain the equation of state (EoS) parameter $ω_Λ$, the deceleration parameter $q$ and $Ω_D'$ in the presence of interaction between Dark Energy (DE) and Dark Matter (DM). Moreover, we reconstruct the potential and the dynamics of the tachyon, K-essence, dilaton and quintessence scalar field models according to the evolutionary behavior of the interacting entropy-corrected holographic dark energy model.

We investigate the new agegraphic dark energy (NADE) model with power-law corrected entropy in the framework of Hořava-Lifshitz cosmology. For a non-flat universe containing the interacting power-law entropy-corrected NADE (PLECNADE) with dark matter, we obtain the differential equation of the evolution of density parameter as well as the deceleration parameter. To study parametric behavior, we used an interesting form of state parameter as function of redshift $ω_Λ(z)=ω_0+ω_1 z$. We found that phantom crossing occurs for the state parameter for a non-zero coupling parameter, thus supporting interacting dark energy model.

Thermodynamics in Little Rip cosmology in the framework of a type of f(R,T) gravity

Cosmological reconstruction of Little Rip model in $f(R, T)$ gravity is investigated, where $R$ is the curvature scalar and $T$ the trace of the energy momentum tensor. The model perfectly reproduces the present stage of the universe, characterized by the $ΛCDM$ model, without singularity at future finite-time (without the Big Rip). The input parameters are determined according to Supernovae Cosmology data and perfectly fit with the WMAP around the Little Rip. Moreover, the thermodynamics is considered in this Little Rip cosmology and it is illustrated that the second law of thermodynamics is always satisfied around the Little Rip universe for the temperature inside the horizon being the same as that of the apparent horizon. Moreover, we show the existence of a stable fixed point in the Little Rip universe which confirms that this is actually a late-time attractor in the phantom-dominated universe. The linear perturbation analysis is performed around the critical points, showing that the Little Rip model obtained is stable.

Thermodynamics of Evolving Lorentzian Wormhole at Apparent and Event Horizons

We have investigated the non-static Lorentzian Wormhole model in presence of anisotropic pressure. We have presented some exact solutions of Einstein equations for anisotropic pressure case. Introducing two EoS parameters we have shown that these solutions give very rich dynamics of the universe yielding to the different expansion history of it in the $r$ - direction and in the $T$ - direction. The corresponding explicit forms of the shape function $b(r)$ is presented. We have shown that the Einstein's field equations and unified first law are equivalent for the dynamical wormhole model. The first law of thermodynamics has been derived by using the Unified first law. The physical quantities including surface gravity and the temperature are derived for the wormhole. Here we have obtained all the results without any choice of the shape function. The validity of generalized second law (GSL) of thermodynamics has been examined at apparent and event horizons for the evolving Lorentzian wormhole.

Turbulence and Little Rip Cosmology

A variety of conditions is considered under which the cosmic dark fluid may be able to develop a future Big Rip or Little Rip singularity. Both one-component and two-component models are considered. In the last-mentioned case we present a way in which the fluid can be decomposed into two components, one non-turbulent (ideal) and one turbulent part, obeying two different equations of state. For the non-turbulent part, the thermodynamical parameter, commonly called w, is assumed to be less than -1 throughout. For the turbulent part, it turns out that it is sufficient that w{turb} lies in the quintessence region in order to lead to a singularity. Both Big Rip and Little Rip behaviour for dark energy are found. In the one-component case, we examine how the universe may develop from a viscous era with constant bulk viscosity into a turbulent era, the turbulence in effect protecting the universe from encountering the singularity at all. The equivalent description of the same cosmology in terms of inhomogeneous (imperfect) fluid is also presented.

Violation of First Law of Thermodynamics in f(R,T) Gravity

In this Letter, we derived the first law of thermodynamics using the method proposed by Wald. Treating the entropy as Noether charge and comparing with the usual first law of thermodynamics, we obtained the expression of entropy explicitly which contains infinitely many non-local terms (i.e. the integral terms). We have proved, in general, that the first law of black bole thermodynamics is violated for $f(R,T)$ gravity. But there might exist some special cases in which the first law for $f(R,T)$ gravity is recovered.

Integrable generalizations of Schrodinger maps and Heisenberg spin models from Hamiltonian flows of curves and surfaces

A moving frame formulation of non-stretching geometric curve flows in Euclidean space is used to derive a 1+1 dimensional hierarchy of integrable SO(3)-invariant vector models containing the Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin model as well as a model given by a spin-vector version of the mKdV equation. These models describe a geometric realization of the NLS hierarchy of soliton equations whose bi-Hamiltonian structure is shown to be encoded in the Frenet equations of the moving frame. This derivation yields an explicit bi-Hamiltonian structure, recursion operator, and constants of motion for each model in the hierarchy. A generalization of these results to geometric surface flows is presented, where the surfaces are non-stretching in one direction while stretching in all transverse directions. Through the Frenet equations of a moving frame, such surface flows are shown to encode a hierarchy of 2+1 dimensional integrable SO(3)-invariant vector models, along with their bi-Hamiltonian structure, recursion operator, and constants of motion, describing a geometric realization of 2+1 dimensional bi-Hamiltonian NLS and mKdV soliton equations. Based on the well-known equivalence between the Heisenberg model and the Schrodinger map equation in 1+1 dimensions, a geometrical formulation of these hierarchies of 1+1 and 2+1 vector models is given in terms of dynamical maps into the 2-sphere. In particular, this formulation yields a new integrable generalization of the Schrodinger map equation in 2+1 dimensions as well as a mKdV analog of this map equation corresponding to the mKdV spin model in 1+1 and 2+1 dimensions.
