Shifts in BCFW method for QED

We study the application of BCFW recursion relations to the QED processes $0\to e^- e^+ n γ$. Based on 6-point amplitudes (both MHVA and NMHVA) computed from Feynman diagrams in the Berends-Giele gauge, we conduct a comprehensive study on all different shifts. Then we propose a new shift (LLYZ shift) which can lead to the full amplitudes for these processes and can have some realistic computation advantages. We compare the number of terms and the independent amplitudes of this novel shift with a few typical shifts.

Collider search of light dark matter model with dark sector decay

We explore the possibility that the dark matter relic density is not produced by thermal mechanism directly, but by the decay of other heavier dark sector particles which on the other hand can be produced by the thermal freeze-out mechanism. Using a concrete model with a light dark matter from dark sector decay, we study the collider signature of the dark sector particles in association with Higgs production processes. We find that the future lepton colliders can be a better place to probe the signature of this kind of light dark matter model than the hadron collider such as LHC. Meanwhile, it is found that a Higgs factory with center of mass energy 250 GeV has a better potential to resolve the signature of this kind of light dark matter model than the Higgs factory with center of mass energy 350 GeV.

Highly Boosted Higgs Bosons and Unitarity in Vector-Boson Fusion at Future Hadron Colliders

We study the observability of new interactions which modify Higgs-pair production via vector-boson fusion processes at the LHC and at future proton-proton colliders. In an effective-Lagrangian approach, we explore in particular the effect of the operator $h^2 W_{μν}^a W^{a,μν}$, which describes the interaction of the Higgs boson with transverse vector-boson polarization modes. By tagging highly boosted Higgs bosons in the final state, we determine projected bounds for the coefficient of this operator at the LHC and at a future 27 TeV or 100 TeV collider. Taking into account unitarity constraints, we estimate the new-physics discovery potential of Higgs pair production in this channel.

Implications of light charged Higgs boson at the LHC Run III in the 2HDM

In this study, we focus on the bosonic decays of light charged Higgs boson (i.e., with $M_{H^\pm}<m_t$) in the 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) Type-I. To study the signal of such a charged Higgs state at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), in a scenario where the $H^0$ boson is the Standard Model (SM)-like one already discovered, we assume that it decays mainly via $h^0W^{\pm *}$ and/or $H^\pm\to A^0W^{\pm *}$ (i.e., via an off-shell $W^{\pm}$ boson), which can reach a sizable Branching Ratio (BR) for $\tanβ\geq4$, when the exclusion bounds from $H^\pm\toτν$ and $c{s}$ searches get weaker. By using six Benchmark Points (BPs), which are consistent with current LHC constraints, we perform a Monte Carlo (MC) study and examine the sensitivity of the LHC to light charged Higgs boson decaying via the above bosonic modes and produced in top decay following both single top and top pair production processes. Our findings demonstrate that, when the integrated luminosity can reach 100 fb$^{-1}$, the LHC has the potential to either discover or rule out most of these BPs via either of these two production and decay channels or both.

Isospin-Violating Dark Matter in the $U(1)'$ Model with $E_6$ Origin

We propose a $U(1)'$ model from $E_6$ which has an isospin-violation dark matter. By choosing a proper linear combination of two extra $U(1)$ gauge symmetries in $E_6$, it is natural to realize the ratio $f_n/f_p=-0.7$ so as to maximally relax the constraints from the Xenon based direct detection experiments. We study the sensitivities of the dark matter direct and indirect detection experiments, and identify the parameter spaces that can give the observed relic density. We also study the sensitivities of the future colliders with center mass energy $\sqrt{s}$= 33/50/100 TeV, and compare the different detection methods. We show that in some parameter spaces the future colliders can give much stronger limits.

Multi-Higgs Production and Unitarity in Vector-Boson Fusion at Future Hadron Colliders

We study multi-Higgs final states in vector boson fusion (VBF) processes at the LHC and at future proton-proton colliders, focusing on the prospects for measurements at 27 TeV and at 100 TeV. We use an effective Lagrangian which includes higher-dimensional operators in the mass eigenstates which are relevant to VBF processes and relate this to specific parameterizations and models for new physics in the Higgs sector. We derive theoretical constraints on the parameter space from the unitarity of $2\to n$ scattering amplitudes and apply the results to $V V \to hh$ and $h h h$ processes, where $V=W,Z$. As a result, we present constraints on differential distributions as appropriate to the study of $V V \to hh$ and $h h h$ processes.

Efficient Numerical Evaluation of Feynman Integral

Feynman loop integrals are a key ingredient for the calculation of higher order radiation effects, and are responsible for reliable and accurate theoretical prediction. We improve the efficiency of numerical integration in sector decomposition by implementing a quasi-Monte Carlo method associated with the CUDA/GPU technique. For demonstration we present the results of several Feynman integrals up to two loops in both Euclidean and physical kinematic regions in comparison with those obtained from FIESTA3. It is shown that both planar and non-planar two-loop master integrals in the physical kinematic region can be evaluated in less than half a minute with $\mathcal{O}(10^{-3})$ accuracy, which makes the direct numerical approach viable for precise investigation of higher order effects in multi-loop processes, e.g. the next-to-leading order QCD effect in Higgs pair production via gluon fusion with a finite top quark mass.

Probing triple-Higgs productions via $4b2γ$ decay channel at a 100 TeV hadron collider

The quartic self-coupling of the Standard Model Higgs boson can only be measured by observing the triple-Higgs production process, but it is challenging for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Run 2 or International Linear Collider (ILC) at a few TeV because of its extremely small production rate. In this paper, we present a detailed Monte Carlo simulation study of the triple-Higgs production through gluon fusion at a 100 TeV hadron collider and explore the feasibility of observing this production mode. We focus on the decay channel $HHH\rightarrow b\bar{b}b\bar{b}γγ$, investigating detector effects and optimizing the kinematic cuts to discriminate the signal from the backgrounds. Our study shows that, in order to observe the Standard Model triple-Higgs signal, the integrated luminosity of a 100 TeV hadron collider should be greater than $1.8\times 10^4$ ab$^{-1}$. We also explore the dependence of the cross section upon the trilinear ($λ_3$) and quartic ($λ_4$) self-couplings of the Higgs. We find that, through a search in the triple-Higgs production, the parameters $λ_3$ and $λ_4$ can be restricted to the ranges $[-1, 5]$ and $[-20, 30]$, respectively. We also examine how new physics can change the production rate of triple-Higgs events. For example, in the singlet extension of the Standard Model, we find that the triple-Higgs production rate can be increased by a factor of $\mathcal{O}(10)$.

Probe Higgs boson pair production via the $3 \ell 2 j$ + missing $E_T$ mode

We perform a detailed hadron-level study on the sensitivity of Higgs boson pair production via the $WW^{*}WW^{*}$ channel with the final state $3 \ell 2 j$ + missing $E_T$ at the LHC with the collision energy $\sqrt{S} = 14$ TeV and a future 100 TeV collider. To avoid the huge background from $pp \to Z W + \textrm{jets}$ processes, we confine to consider the four lepton patterns: $e^\pm e^\pm μ^\mp $ and $μ^\pm μ^\pm e^\mp$. We propose a partial reconstruction method to determine the most reliable combination. After that, we examine a few crucial observables which can discriminate efficiently signal and background events, especially we notice that the observable $m_{\rm T2}$ is very efficient. For the LHC 14 TeV collisions, with an accumulated 3000 fb$^{-1}$ dataset, we find that the sensitivity of this mode can reach up to 1.5 $σ$ for the Standard Model and the triple coupling of Higgs boson $λ_3$ in the simplest effective theory can be constrained into the range [-1, 8] at $95\%$ confidence level; at a 100 TeV collider with the integrated luminosity 3000 fb$^{-1}$, the sensitivity can reach up to 13 $σ$ for the Standard Model and we find that all values of $λ_3$ in the effective theory can be covered up to 3$σ$ even without optimising signals. To precisely measure the triple coupling of Higgs boson $λ_3=1$ of the Standard Model at a 100 TeV collider, by using the invariant mass of three leptons which is robust to against the contamination of underlying events and pileup effects and by performing a $χ^2$ analysis, we find that it can be determined into a range [0.8, 1.5] at $95\%$ confidence level.

Probing Triple-W Production and Anomalous WWWW Coupling at the CERN LHC and future 100TeV proton-proton collider

Triple gauge boson production at the LHC can be used to test the robustness of the Standard Model and provide useful information for VBF di-boson scattering measurement. Especially, any derivations from SM prediction will indicate possible new physics. In this paper we present a detailed Monte Carlo study on measuring WWW production in pure leptonic and semileptonic decays, and probing anomalous quartic gauge WWWW couplings at the CERN LHC and future hadron collider, with parton shower and detector simulation effects taken into account. Apart from cut-based method, multivariate boosted decision tree method has been exploited for possible improvement. For the leptonic decay channel, our results show that at the sqrt{s}=8(14)[100] TeV pp collider with integrated luminosity of 20(100)[3000] fb-1, one can reach a significance of 0.4(1.2)[10]sigma to observe the SM WWW production. For the semileptonic decay channel, one can have 0.5(2)[14]sigma to observe the SM WWW production. We also give constraints on relevant Dim-8 anomalous WWWW coupling parameters.

Dark matter searches in the mono-$Z$ channel at high energy $e^+e^-$ colliders

We explore the mono-$Z$ signature for dark matter searches at future high energy $e^+e^-$ colliders. In the context of effective field theory, we consider two kinds of contact operators describing dark matter interactions with electroweak gauge bosons and with electron/positron, respectively. For five benchmark models, we propose kinematic cuts to distinguish signals from backgrounds for both charged leptonic and hadronic decay modes of the $Z$ boson. We also present the experimental sensitivity to cutoff scales of effective operators and compare it with that of the Fermi-LAT indirect search and demonstrate the gains in significance for the several configurations of polarized beams.

Hadronic $b^\prime$ search at the LHC with top and W taggers

We study the sensitivity of a down type quark $b^{\prime}$ via process $pp\rightarrow b^{\prime}\bar{b^{\prime}} \rightarrow tW^-\bar{t}W^+$ using jet substructure methods at the LHC with the collision energy $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV. We consider the case that the $b^\prime$ is heavy (say from 800 GeV to 1500 GeV) and concentrate on the feasibility of the full hadronic mode. Both top tagger (the HEP top tagger) and W tagger (the CMS W-tagging) are used to reconstruct all objects in the final states. In order to suppress huge SM background events and take into account various cases with different number of boosted objects, we propose a comprehensive reconstruction procedure so as to extract the most crucial observables of the signal events. When $b^\prime$ mass is 1 TeV, it is found that with a 200 fb$^{-1}$ dataset, the LHC may be able to detect the $b^\prime$ with a significance up to $10$ or better. With a 3000 $fb^{-1}$ dataset, the LHC may be able to probe the $b^\prime$ with a mass around up to 2 TeV, only by using the hadronic mode.

Higgs Pair Production: Improved Description by Matrix Element Matching

Higgs pair production is crucial for measuring the Higgs boson self-coupling. The dominant channel at hadron colliders is gluon fusion via heavy-quark loops. We present the results of a fully exclusive simulation of gluon fusion Higgs pair production based on the matrix elements for hh + 0, 1 partons including full heavy-quark loop dependence, matched to a parton shower. We examine and validate this new description by comparing it with (a) Higgs Effective Theory predictions, (b) exact hh + 0-parton sample showered by pythia, and (c) exact hh+1-parton distributions, by looking at the most relevant kinematic distributions, such as PTh, PThh, Mhh spectra, and jet rate as well. We find that matched samples provide an state-of-the-art accurate exclusive description of the final state. The relevant LHE files for Higgs pair productions at the LHC can be accessed via http://hepfarm02.phy.pku.edu.cn/foswiki/CMS/HH, which can be used for relevant experimental analysis.

Tau Portal Dark Matter models at the LHC

Motivated by the Galactic Center gamma-ray excess in the Fermi-LAT data, we study the signatures of a class of tau portal dark matter (DM) models where DM particles preferentially couple to tau leptons at the LHC. We consider the constraints from the DM direct detection and investigate the sensitivity of the LHC to di-tau plus missing energy signatures. We find that the LHC with a high luminosity of 3000 fb$^{-1}$ can test the tau portal DM models with fermionic mediators in the mass range of $120\sim450$ GeV.

Detecting interactions between dark matter and photons at high energy $e^+e^-$ colliders

We investigate the sensitivity to the effective operators describing interactions between dark matter particles and photons at future high energy $e^+e^-$ colliders via the $γ+ \slashed{E}$ channel. Such operators could be useful to interpret the potential gamma-ray line signature observed by the Fermi-LAT. We find that these operators can be further tested at $e^+ e^-$ colliders by using either unpolarized or polarized beams. We also derive a general unitarity condition for $2 \to n$ processes and apply it to the dark matter production process $e^+e^-\toχχγ$.

Light stop/sbottom pair production searches in the NMSSM

In this work, we study the constraints on the scenario of light stops and sbottoms in the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM), especially by a 125 GeV Higgs boson discovery and the LHC bounds on supersymmetry. The constraints from dark matter detections are also taken into account. From the parameter scan, we find that the NMSSM can well accommodate a light Higgs boson around 125 GeV and decay patterns. We would like to stress that the LHC direct supersymmetry searches with b-tagging are very powerful and can set strong bounds on many NMSSM parameter points with light stops and sbottoms. We find $\tilde {t}\to b\tildeχ^+_1$ is a very promising channel for light stop detection if the mass splitting between $\tildeχ^+_1$ and $\tildeχ^0_1$ is very small. It is also pointed out that in order to close the parameter space of light stops and sbottoms, new search strategies for signal channels such as $p p \to {\tilde t_1} {\tilde t_1} \to t {\bar t} h h \tildeχ^0_1 \tildeχ^0_1$ and $p p \to {\tilde b_1} {\tilde b_1} \to t {\bar t} W^+ W^- \tildeχ^0_1 \tildeχ^0_1$ may be necessary.

Natural NMSSM confronting with the LHC7-8

The natural supersymmetry (SUSY) requires that stop, sbottom, and gluino be around one TeV or lighter. By using the direct SUSY search bounds from both ATLAS and CMS Collaborations, we examine the constraints on the natural SUSY in the Next to Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM). We consider two cases of interpretations for the Higgs boson data: (1) the Standard Model (SM) like Higgs boson is the lightest CP-even Higgs boson; (2) the SM like Higgs boson is the second lightest CP-even Higgs boson. We find that the direct SUSY searches at the LHC impose a strong constraint on the light gluino scenarios, and in both cases the gluino can not be lighter than 1.1 TeV with sbottom mass up to 600 GeV and stop mass up to 550 GeV.

A dynamical holographic QCD model for chiral symmetry breaking and linear confinement

A self-consistent holographic QCD model is proposed which can realize both chiral symmetry breaking and confinement, two most important phenomena of QCD. It is pointed out that the model can accommodate both Regge spectra of hadrons and the linear potential between quarks. The model is formulated in the framework of graviton-dilaton-scalar system, where the dilaton field is dual to the dimension-2 gluon condensate and can lead to the linear confinement, while the scalar field corresponds to the quark anti-quark condensate and can explain the property of chiral dynamics.

Accommodate chiral symmetry breaking and linear confinement in a dynamical holographic QCD model

We construct a self-consistent holographic QCD model which can realize two most important phenomena of QCD, i.e. chiral symmetry breaking and confinement. The model is formulated in the framework of graviton-dilaton-scalar system, where the dilaton field is of dimension-2 which might be dual to the dimension-2 gluon condensate and can lead to the linear confinement, while the scalar field corresponds to the quark anti-quark condensate and can explain the property of chiral dynamics. Within this framework, both Regge spectra of hadrons and the linear potential between quarks can be accommodated. It is also found that the negative dilaton background can be safely excluded in this framework.

Detecting light stop pairs in coannihilation scenarios at the LHC

In this work, we study the light stop pair signals at the large hadron collider (LHC) in three coannihilation scenarios. In order to yield the desired dark matter (DM) relic density, the neutralino can coannihilate with stop, chargino and stau, respectively. Signatures of the first scenario can be probed at the LHC via the associated jet production processes $pp \to j + {\tilde t} {\tilde t}^*$ by tagging an energetic mono-jet and a large missing transverse energy. The signatures of the other two scenarios can be searched via the pair production process $pp \to {\tilde t} {\tilde t}^*$ by tagging energetic b-jets in the final states and a large missing transverse energy. We find that the LHC results at 7 TeV with 5 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of data can exclude the stop mass up to 220, 380 and 220 GeV for these three scenarios, respectively. While the 20 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ dataset at 8 TeV is considered, the LHC can be expected to exclude the stop mass up to 340, 430 and 370 GeV.

Low-lying Scalars in an extended Linear $σ$ Model

We formulate an extended linear $σ$ model of a quarkonia nonet and a tetraquark nonet as well as a complex iso-singlet (glueball) by virtue of chiral symmetry $SU_L(3) \times SU_R(3)$ and $U_A(1)$ symmetry. In the linear realization formalism, we study the mass spectra and components of the low-lying scalars and pseudo scalars in this model. The mass matrices for physical staes are obtained and the glueball candidates are examined. We find that the model can accommodate the mass spectra of low-lying states quite well. Our fits indicate that the most glueball like scalar should be 2 GeV or higher while the glueball pseudoscalar is $η(1756)$. We also examine the parameter region where the lightest iso-scalar $f_0(600)$ can be the glueball and quarkonia dominant but find such a parameter region may be confronted with the problem of the unbounded vacuum from below.

Searching for Heavy Charged Higgs Boson with Jet Substructure at the LHC

We study the heavy charged Higgs boson (from 800 GeV to 1500 GeV in this study) in production associated with a top quark at the LHC with the collision energy $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV. Such a heavy charged Higgs boson can dominantly decay into a top quark and a bottom quark due to its large Yukawa couplings, like in MSSM. To suppress background events and to confirm the signal, we reconstruct the mass bumps of the heavy charged Higgs boson and the associated top quark. For this purpose, we propose a hybrid-R reconstruction method which utilizes the top tagging technique, a jet substructure technique developed for highly boosted massive particles. By using the full hadronic mode of $p p \to H^{\pm} t \to t tb$ as a test field, we find that this method can greatly reduce the combinatorics in the full reconstruction and can successfully reduce background events down to a controlled level. The sensitivity of LHC to the heavy charged Higgs boson with two $b$ taggings is studied and a $9.5σ$ significance can be achieved when $m_{H^\pm} =1 \textrm{TeV}$.

Sigma meson and lowest possible glueball candidate in an extended linear $σ$ model

We formulate an extended linear $σ$ model of a quarkonia nonet and a tetraquark nonet as well as a complex iso-singlet (glueball) field to study the low-lying scalar meson. Chiral symmetry and $U_A(1)$ symmetry and their breaking play important role to shape the scalar meson spectrum in our work. Based on our study we will comment on what may be the mass of the lowest possible scalar and pseudoscalar glueball states. We will also discuss on what may be the nature of the sigma or $f_0(600)$ meson.

Probing Light Stop Pairs at the LHC

In this work, we study the light stop pair signals at the LHC. We explore the SUSY parameter space with non-universal gaugino and third generation masses at the GUT scale. Recent LHC SUSY search results based on 35pb$^{-1}$ and 1fb$^{-1}$ of data are implemented to put the limits on stop pair events. The dark matter relic density and direct detection constraints are also taken into account. Detailed simulations on the signals and background for some benchmark points are performed, and it is found that the stop pair signals usually escape the LHC search if the present cut conditions are used. We also explore the potential and sensitivity of ILC to probe such scenarios. It is found that the ILC can detect them with an integrated luminosity of a few tens of fb$^{-1}$.

Searches for the $t^\prime$ of a fourth family

We study the detection of the $t^\prime$ of a fourth family during the early running of LHC with 7 TeV collision energy and 1 fb$^{-1}$ integrated luminosity. By use of a neural network we show that it is feasible to search for the $t'$ even with a mass close to the unitarity upper bound, which is in the 500 to 600 GeV range. We also present results for the Tevatron with $10 \,\, \textrm{fb}^{-1}$. In both cases the search for a fourth family quark doublet can be significantly enhanced if one incorporates the contribution that the $b'$ can make to a $t'$-like signal. Thus the bound on the mass of a degenerate quark doublet should be stronger than the bounds obtained by treating $t'$ and $b'$ in isolation.

The b' search at the LHC

We consider the production and detection of a sequential, down type quark via the mode $p p \to b' {\bar b}' \to W^+ W^- t {\bar t} \to \ell ν_{\ell} 8 j$ at the LHC, with the collision energy $\sqrt{s}=10$ TeV and the total integrated luminosity around 1 fb$^{-1}$. We assume $m_{b'}=m_{t'}=600$ GeV. A full reconstruction is employed and the signal and background discrimination is studied within a neural network approach. Our results show that this mode can make a useful contribution to the $b'$ search.

Thermodynamics of deformed AdS$_5$ model with a positive/negative quadratic correction in graviton-dilaton system

By solving the Einstein equations of the graviton coupling with a real scalar dilaton field, we establish a general framework to self-consistently solve the geometric background with black-hole for any given phenomenological holographic models. In this framwork, we solve the black-hole background, the corresponding dilaon field and the dilaton potential for the deformed AdS$_5$ model with a positive/negative quadratic correction. We systematically investigate the thermodynamical properties of the deformed AdS$_5$ model with a positive and negative quadratic correction, respectively, and compare with lattice QCD on the results of the equation of state, the heavy quark potential, the Polyakov loop and the spatial Wilson loop. We find that the bulk thermodynamical properties are not sensitive to the sign of the quadratic correction, and the results of both deformed holographic QCD models agree well with lattice QCD result for pure SU(3) gauge theory. However, the results from loop operators favor a positive quadratic correction, which agree well with lattice QCD result. Especially, the result from the Polyakov loop excludes the model with a negative quadratic correction in the warp factor of ${\rm AdS}_5$.

Heavy quark potential and QCD beta function from a deformed $AdS_5$ model

We show that in a deformed ${\rm AdS}_5$ model with an explicit infrared cutoff included in the logarithmic correction $-c_0\log[(z_{IR}-z)/z_{IR}]$, the heavy quark Cornell potential can be fitted very well, the corresponding beta-function agrees with the QCD beta-function at 2-loop level reasonably well, and its dual dilaton potential is bounded from below in infrared. The results are compared with those in the Andreev-Zakharov model and the Pirner-Galow model.

Logarithmic correction in the deformed ${\rm AdS}_5$ model to produce the heavy quark potential and QCD beta function

We stude the \textit{holographic} QCD model which contains a quadratic term $ -σz^2$ and a logarithmic term $-c_0\log[(z_{IR}-z)/z_{IR}]$ with an explicit infrared cut-off $z_{IR}$ in the deformed ${\rm AdS}_5$ warp factor. We investigate the heavy quark potential for three cases, i.e, with only quadratic correction, with both quadratic and logarithmic corrections and with only logarithmic correction. We solve the dilaton field and dilation potential from the Einstein equation, and investigate the corresponding beta function in the G{ü}rsoy -Kiritsis-Nitti (GKN) framework. Our studies show that in the case with only quadratic correction, a negative $σ$ or the Andreev-Zakharov model is favored to fit the heavy quark potential and to produce the QCD beta-function at 2-loop level, however, the dilaton potential is unbounded in infrared regime. One interesting observing for the case of positive $σ$, or the soft-wall ${\rm AdS}_5$ model is that the corresponding beta-function exists an infrared fixed point. In the case with only logarithmic correction, the heavy quark Cornell potential can be fitted very well, the corresponding beta-function agrees with the QCD beta-function at 2-loop level reasonably well, and the dilaton potential is bounded from below in infrared. At the end, we propose a more compact model which has only logarithmic correction in the deformed warp factor and has less free parameters.

Scalar Mesons and glueballs in $Dp-Dq$ hard-wall models

We investigate light scalar mesons and glueballs in the $Dp-Dq$ hard-wall models, including $D3-Dq$, $D4-Dq$, and $D6-Dq$ systems. It is found that only in the $D4-D6$ and $D4-D8$ hard wall models, the predicted masses of the ${\bar q} q$ scalar meson $f_0$, scalar glueball are consistent with their experimental or lattice results. This indicates that $D4-D6$ and $D4-D8$ hard-wall models are favorite candidates of the realistic holographic QCD model.

The pseudoscalar glueball in a chiral Lagrangian model with instanton effect

We study the pseudoscalar glueball candidates in a chiral effective Lagrangian model proposed by 't hooft, motived by taking into account the instanton effects, which can describe not only the chiral symmetry breaking, but also the solution of $U_A(1)$. We study the parameter space allowed by constraints from vacuum conditions and unitary bounds. By considering two scenarios in $0^{++}$ sector, we find that parameter space which can accommodate the $0^{-+}$ sector is sensitive to the conditions in $0^{++}$ sector. From our analysis, it is found that three $η$ states, i.e. $η(1295)$, $η(1405)$, $η(1475)$, can be glueball candidates if we assume that the lightest $0^{++}$ glueball has a mass 1710 MeV. While there is no $0^{-+}$ glueball candidate found in experiments if we assume that the lightest $0^{++}$ glueball has a mass 660 MeV.

Confront Holographic QCD with Regge Trajectories of vectors and axial-vectors

We derive the general 5-dimension metric structure of the $Dp-Dq$ system in type II superstring theory, and demonstrate the physical meaning of the parameters characterizing the 5-dimension metric structure of the \textit{holographic} QCD model by relating them to the parameters describing Regge trajectories. By matching the spectra of vector mesons $ρ_1$ with deformed $Dp-Dq$ soft-wall model, we find that the spectra of vector mesons $ρ_1$ can be described very well in the soft-wall $D3-Dq$ model, i.e, $AdS_5$ soft-wall model. We then investigate how well the $AdS_5$ soft-wall model can describe the Regge trajectory of axial-vector mesons $a_1$. We find that the constant component of the 5-dimension mass square of axial-vector mesons plays an efficient role to realize the chiral symmetry breaking in the vacuum, and a small negative $z^4$ correction in the 5-dimension mass square is helpful to realize the chiral symmetry restoration in high excitation states.

B_s \to \ell^+ \ell^- in a model II 2HDM and MSSM

In this paper we analyze the process $B_s \to \ell^+ \ell^-$ in a model II 2HDM and MSSM. All the leading terms of Wilson coefficients relevant to the process are given in the large tan$β$ limit. It is shown that the decay width for $B_s \to \ell^+ \ell^-$ depends on all parameters except $m_{A^0}$ in the 2HDM. The branching ratio of $B_s \to μ^+ μ^-$ can reach its experimental bound in some large tan$β$ regions of the parameter space in MSSM because the amplitude increases like tan$^3β$ in the regions. For l=$τ$, the branching ratio can even reach $10^{-4}$ in the regions. Therefore, the experimental measurements of leptonic decays of $B_s$ could put a constraint on the contributions of neutral Higgs bosons and consequently the parameter space in MSSM.

Radiative electroweak symmetry breaking in the extra dimensions scenarios

We study the radiative spontaneous electroweak symmetry breaking in the extra dimensions scenarios of the standard model extension proposed by Antoniadis {\it et al}, Dienes {\it et al.} and Pomarol {\it et al.}. In the framework of multi-scale effective theory when viewing from the ultraviolet cutoff scale down to the low energy scale, we find that the effects of Kaluza-Klein excitations of bosons can change the sign of the Higgs mass term of the standard model from positive to negative and therefore trigger the electroweak symmetry breaking at 1.6 (2) TeV or so when the compactification scale is assumed to be 0.8 (1.5) TeV or so. New particle contents beyond the SM or supersymmetry are not necessary for this mechanism. We conclude that in the extra dimension scenarios, the radiative correction can naturally induce the desired electroweak symmetry breaking.

Exclusive semileptonic rare decays $B ->_ ($K,K^*) \ell^+ \ell^- in supersymmetric theories

The invariant mass spectrum, forward-backward asymmetry, and lepton polarizations of the exclusive processes $B\to K(K^*)\ell^+ \ell^-, \ell=μ, τ$ are analyzed under supersymmetric context. Special attention is paid to the effects of neutral Higgs bosons (NHBs). Our analysis shows that the branching ratio of the process $\bkm$ can be quite largely modified by the effects of neutral Higgs bosons and the forward-backward asymmetry would not vanish. For the process $\bksm$, the lepton transverse polarization is quite sensitive to the effects of NHBs, while the invariant mass spectrum, forward-backward asymmetry, and lepton longitudinal polarization are not. For both $\bkt$ and $\bkst$, the effects of NHBs are quite significant. The partial decay widths of these processes are also analyzed, and our analysis manifest that even taking into account the theoretical uncertainties in calculating weak form factors, the effects of NHBs could make SUSY shown up.
