This paper aims to characterize the function appearing in the weighted Hermite-Hadamard inequality. We provide improved inequalities for the weighted means as applications of the obtained results. Modifications of the weighted Hermite-Hadamard inequality are also presented. Our results contain some exciting inequalities and extensions of the known results.
Inspired by the recent work by R.Pal et al., we give further refined inequalities for a convex Riemann integrable function, applying the standard Hermite-Hadamard inequality. Our approach is different from their one in \cite{PSMA2016}. As corollaries, we give the refined inequalities on the weighted logarithmic mean and weighted identric mean. Some further extensions are also given.
In this note we give a recipe which describes upper and lower bounds for the Jensen functional under superquadraticity conditions. Some results involve the Chebychev functional. We give a more general definition of these functionals and establish the analogue results.
In this paper we present several applications of Cartwright-Field's inequality. Among these we found Young's inequality, Bernoulli's inequality, the inequality between the weighted power means, Hölder's inequality and Cauchy's inequality. We give also two applications related to arithmetic functions and to operator inequalities.
We say that $d$ is an exponential unitary divisor of $n=p_1^{a_1}... p_r^{a_r}>1$ if $d=p_1^{b_1}... p_r^{b_r}$, where $b_i$ is a unitary divisor of $a_i$, i.e., $b_i\mid a_i$ and $(b_i,a_i/b_i)=1$ for every $i\in \{1,2,...,r\}$. We survey properties of related arithmetical functions and introduce the notion of exponential unitary perfect numbers.
