MSSM without a free parameter

It is often argued that the minimal supersymmetric standard model has O(100) free parameters and the generic parameter region is already excluded by the null observation of the flavor and CP violating processes as well as the constraints from the LHC experiments. This situation naturally leads us to consider the case where all the dangerous soft supersymmetry breaking terms such as the scalar masses and scalar couplings are absent, while only the unified gaugino mass term and the mu term are non-vanishing at the grand unification scale. We revisit this simple situation taking into account the observed Higgs boson mass, 125 GeV. Since the gaugino mass and the mu term are fixed in order to explain the Higgs boson and the Z boson masses, there is no free parameter left in this scenario. We find that there are three independent parameter sets exist including ones which have not been discussed in the literature. We also find that the abundance of the dark matter can be explained by relic gravitinos which are non-thermally produced as decay products of the SUSY particles while satisfying constraints from Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. We discuss the effects of the gravity mediation which generically give contribution to the soft terms of the order of the gravitino mass. It turns out that newly found parameter set is preferable to explain the Higgs boson mass as well as the gravitino dark matter while satisfying the constraints from the electric dipole moments of the electron and the nucleon.

Lepton Flavor Violations in High-Scale SUSY with Right-Handed Neutrinos

Motivated by the recent discovery of the Higgs boson at m_h = 126 GeV and also by the non-observation of superparticles at the LHC, high-scale SUSY, where the superparticles are as heavy as O(10) TeV, has been recently proposed. We study lepton-flavor violations (LFVs) in the high-scale SUSY with right-handed neutrinos. Even if the slepton masses are of O(10) TeV, the renormalization group (RG) effects on the slepton mass-squared matrix may induce large enough LFVs which are within the reach of future LFV experiments. We also discuss the implication of the right-handed neutrinos on the electroweak symmetry breaking in such a model, and show that the parameter region with the successful electroweak symmetry breaking is enlarged by the RG effects due to the right-handed neutrinos.

Non-Thermal Production of Wino Dark Matter via the Decay of Long-Lived Particles

We consider supersymmetric models in which the neutral Wino is the lightest superparticle (LSP), and study the possibility that non-thermally produced Wino plays the role of dark matter. The thermal relic density of Wino is smaller than the present mass density of dark matter if wino mass is smaller than 2.9 TeV; however, even with smaller Wino mass, Wino can be the dominant component of dark matter if it is non-thermally produced by the decay of an exotic particle. In order to study such a possibility in detail, we perform a precise calculation of the present mass density of Wino produced by the exotic-particle decay, taking account of the following effects: (i) coannihilation among charged and neutral Winos, and (ii) Sommerfeld effect on the pair annihilation cross section of Winos. We consider several well-motivated cases where the exotic particle corresponds to cosmological moduli fields, gravitino, or axino, and discuss the implication of the Wino LSP for these cases.

Probing Supersymmetric Model with Heavy Sfermions Using Leptonic Flavor and CP Violations

We study leptonic flavor and CP violating observables in supersymmetric (SUSY) models with heavy sfermions, which is motivated by the recent results of the LHC experiments (i.e., the discovery of the Higgs-like boson with the mass of about 126 GeV and the negative searches for the superparticles). Even if the sfermion masses are of O(10-100 TeV), signals may be within the reach of future leptonic flavor- and CP-violation experiments assuming that the off-diagonal elements of the sfermion mass matrices are unsuppressed compared to the diagonal ones. We also consider the SUSY contribution to the K0-K0bar mixing paraemters; we show that the leptonic observables can become as powerful as those in K0-K0bar mixing to constrain SUSY models.

The Anatomy of Neutral Scalars with FCNCs in the Flavour Precision Era

In many extensions of the Standard Model flavour changing neutral current processes can be mediated by tree-level heavy neutral scalars and/or pseudo-scalars H^0(A^0). This generally introduces new sources of flavour violation and CP violation as well as left-handed and right-handed scalar currents. These new physics contributions imply a pattern of deviations from SM expectations for FCNC processes that depends only on the couplings of H^0(A^0) to fermions and on their masses. In situations in which a single H^0 or A^0 dominates NP contributions stringent correlations between Delta F=2 and Delta F=1 observables exist. Anticipating the Flavour Precision Era ahead of us we illustrate this by searching for allowed oases in the landscape of a given model assuming significantly smaller uncertainties in CKM and hadronic parameters than presently available. To this end we analyze Delta F=2 observables in B^0_{s,d}-bar B^0_{s,d} and K^0-bar K^0 systems and rare B and K decays with charged leptons in the final state including both left-handed and right-handed scalar couplings of H^0 and A^0 to quarks in various combinations. We identify a number of correlations between various flavour observables that could test and distinguish these different scenarios. The prominent role of the decays B_{s,d}-> mu^+ mu^- in these studies is emphasized. Imposing the existing flavour constraints, a rich pattern of deviations from the SM expectations in rare B_{s,d} decays emerges provided M_H< 1 TeV. NP effects in rare K decays are very small. Neutral SM Higgs contributions to rare B and K decays turn out to be negligible once the constraints from Delta F=2 processes are taken into account. Finally, we point out striking differences between the correlations found here and in scenarios in which tree-level FCNC are mediated by a new neutral gauge boson Z'.

Footprints of SUSY GUTs in Flavour Physics

Supersymmetric (SUSY) Grand Unified theories (GUTs) generally predict FCNC and CP violating processes to occur both in the leptonic and hadronic sectors. Assuming an underlying SU(5) group plus right-handed neutrinos (RN), we perform an extensive study of FCNC and CP violation, analyzing the correlations between leptonic and hadronic processes like mu-> e gamma and K-Kbar mixing, tau->mu gamma and b -> s transitions such as B_d -> phi K_s and Bs-Bsbar mixing. Moreover, we examine the impact of the considered scenario on the UT analyses, monitoring the low energy consequences implied by possible solutions to the various tensions in the present UT analyses. We compare the phenomenological implications of this NP scenario with the ones of supersymmetric flavour models finding a few striking differences that could allow to distinguish these different NP models.

A Complete Analysis of "Flavored" Electric Dipole Moments in Supersymmetric Theories

The Standard Model predictions for the hadronic and leptonic electric dipole moments (EDMs) are well far from the present experimental resolutions, thus, the EDMs represent very clean probes of New Physics effects. Especially, within supersymmetric frameworks with flavor-violating soft terms large and potentially visible effects to the EDMs are typically expected. In this work, we systematically evaluate the predictions for the EDMs at the beyond-leading-order (BLO). In fact, we show that BLO contributions to the EDMs dominate over the leading-order (LO) effects in large regions of the supersymmetric parameter space. Hence, their inclusion in the evaluation of the EDMs is unavoidable. As an example, we show the relevance of BLO effects to the EDMs for a SUSY $SU(5)$ model with right-handed neutrinos.
