Lorentzian wormholes supported by tachyon matter

Wormholes with Ellis geometry have been successfully constructed using tachyon matter \cite{Das}. However, for such a wormhole, it is obtained that the redshift function is necessarily a constant, and also the wormhole is plagued with an imaginary tachyon potential and a constant field if the solutions are obtained in the absence of a cosmological constant term. So, a physically plausible wormhole solution is possible only in the presence of a $Λ$ term. In this paper, we try to construct a wormhole from tachyon matter with three $other$ geometries \textit{different} from the Ellis geometry and see whether it is possible to construct them successfully, besides checking whether the restrictions of the Ellis wormhole can be overcome with these geometries. Among others, we obtain one very interesting result that for all three of these geometries \textit{different} from the Ellis, the $Λ$ term is no longer an essential ingredient in constructing physically plausible traversable wormholes and the tachyon matter, capable of providing explanations for the "\textbf{dark sector}" of the universe,is itself sufficient for this purpose.

Quasi Normal Modes of Ayon-Beato Garcia Regular Black Holes For Scalar Field

In this paper, we compute quasi-normal modes of ABG black holes (which has a non-linear electrodynamical source) using the WKB methods and AIM. A comparison between the spectrum of QNMs calculated by both methods is made. We analyse how the spectrum of QNMs depends on the black hole parameters, multipole number and overtone number and establish that the ABG black hole is stable against the scalar field.

Wormhole on the Brane with Ordinary Matter: The Broader View

In this paper we attempt to examine the possibility of construction of a traversable wormhole on the Randall-Sundrum braneworld with ordinary matter employing the Kuchowicz potential as one of the metric potentials. In this scenario, the wormhole shape function is obtained and studied, along with validity of Null Energy Condition (NEC) and the junction conditions at the surface of the wormhole are used to obtain a few of the model parameters. The investigation, besides giving an estimate for the bulk equation of state parameter, draws important constraints on the brane tension which is a novel attempt in this aspect and very interestingly the constraints imposed by a physically plausible traversable wormhole is in high confirmity with those drawn from more general space-times or space-time independent situations involved in fundamental physics. Also, we go on to claim that the possible existence of a wormhole may very well indicate that we live on a three-brane universe.

Analytical model on mass limit of strange stars

In this paper, we present a new kind of stellar model using the Nariai IV metric. This model can be used to study the strange/quark stars(which is our present interest, though it can also be applicable to neutron stars). We present a mass-radius region where all the regularity conditions, energy conditions, the TOV equation, and stability conditions are satisfied. According to our model, strange stars having mass up to $1.9165M_{\odot}(=2.81 km)$ is stable. A strange star having a mass greater than $1.9165M_{\odot}$ violates the stability conditions. This model can be very useful to predict the radius of strange stars of mass greater than $1 M_{\odot}$.

Does Dark Matter admixed pulsar exist ?

In this paper, we have considered a twofluid model assuming that the pulsars are made of ordinary matter admixed with dark matter.Contribution of dark matter comes from the fitting of the rotation curves of the SPARC sample of galaxies[95]. For this we have investigated the dark matter based on the Singular Isothermal Sphere (SIS) dark matter density profile in the galactic halo region. Considering this twofluid model, we have studied the physical features of the pulsars present in different galaxy in details. Here, we compute the probable radii, compactness (u) and surface red-shift (Zs) of the four pulsars namely : PSR J1748-2021B in NGC 6440B galaxy, PSR J1911-5958A in NGC 6752 galaxy, PSR B1802-07 in NGC 6539 galaxy and PSR J1750-37A in NGC 6441 galaxy.

Neutron Stars : A Comparative Study

The inner structure of neutron star is considered from theoretical point of view and is compared with the observed data. We have proposed a form of an equation of state relating pressure with matter density which indicates the stiff equation of state of neutron stars. From our study we have calculated mass(M), compactness(u) and surface red-shift(Zs ) for the neutron stars namely PSR J1614-2230, PSR J1903+327, Cen X-3, SMC X-1, Vela X-1, Her X-1 and compared with the recent observational data. We have also indicated the possible radii of the different stars which needs further study. Finally we have examined the stability for such type of theoretical structure.

Analytical model of strange star in the low-mass X-ray binary 4U 1820-30

In this article, we have proposed a model for a realistic strange star under Tolman VII metric\citep{Tolman1939}. Here the field equations are reduced to a system of three algebraic equations for anisotropic pressure. Mass, central density and surface density of strange star in the low-mass X-ray binary 4U 1820-30 has been matched with the observational data according to our model. Strange materials clearly satisfies the stability condition (i.e. sound velocities < 1) and TOV-equation. Here also surface red shift of the star has been found to be within reasonable limit.

Compact Stars in low-mass X-ray binaries

We propose a model for compact stars in low-mass X-ray binaries(LMXBs) namely KS 1731-260, EXO 1745-248 and 4U 1608-52. Here we investigate the physical phenomena of a compact star in the LMXBs. Using our model, we have calculated central density, surface density, mass(M) and red-shift for the above mentioned compact stars, which is very much consistent with the reported data. We also obtain the possible equation of state(EOS) of the stars which is physically acceptable.

Isotropic star in low-mass X-ray binaries and X-ray pulsars

We present a model for compact stars in the low mass X-ray binaries(LMXBs) and X-ray pulsars using a metric given by John J. Matese and Patrick G. Whitman \citep{Matese and Whitman1980}. Here the field equations are reduced to a system of two algebraic equations considering the isotropic pressure. Compact star candidates 4U 1820-30(radius=10km) in LMXBs, and Her X-1(radius=7.7km), SAX J 1808.4-3658(SS1)(radius=7.07km) and SAX J 1808.4-3658(SS2)(radius=6.35km) in X-ray pulsars satisfy all the energy conditions, TOV-equation and stability condition. From our model, we have derived mass($M$), central density($ρ_{0}$), suface density($ρ_{b}$), central pressure($p_{0}$), surface pressure($p_{b}$) and surface red-shift($Z_{s}$) of the above mentioned stars, which are very much consistant with the observed/reported datas\citep{N. K. Glendenning1997,Gondek2000}. We have also observe the adiabatic index($γ$>4/3) of the above steller objects.

Galactic rotation curves and strange quark matter with observational constraints

We obtain the space time of the galactic core in the framework of general relativity by taking the flat rotational curve as input and considering the matter content in the galactic core region as strange quark matter. We also obtain the energy density, radial and tangential pressures of the core strange quark matter. Significantly we have shown that Bag Constant takes an important role to stabilize the circular orbit of the test particles. We also give a limit of the Bag Constant for the existence of quark matter in the galactic halo region.

Anisotropic Compact stars with variable cosmological constant

Recently the small value of the cosmological constant and its ability to accelerate the expansion of the Universe is of great interest. We discuss the possibility of forming of anisotropic compact stars from this cosmological constant as one of the competent candidates of dark energy. For this purpose we consider the analytical solution of Krori and Barua metric. We take the radial dependence of cosmological constant and check all the regularity conditions, TOV equations, stability and surface redshift of the compact stars. It has been shown as conclusion that this model is valid for any compact star and we have cited $4U 1820-30$ as a specific example of that kind of star.

Anisotropic strange star with de Sitter spacetime

Stars can be treated as self-gravitating fluid. Krori and Barua (1975) gave an analytical solutions to that kind of fluids. In this connection, we propose a de-Sitter model for an anisotropic strange star with the Krori-Barua spacetime. We incorporate the existence of cosmological constant in a small scale to study the structure of anisotropic strange stars and come to conclusion that this doping is very much compatible with the well known physical features of strange stars.

Charged anisotropic matter with linear or nonlinear equation of state

Ivanov pointed out substantial analytical difficulties associated with self-gravitating, static, isotropic fluid spheres when pressure explicitly depends on matter density. Simplification achieved with the introduction of electric charge were noticed as well. We deal with self-gravitating, charged, anisotropic fluids and get even more flexibility in solving the Einstein-Maxwell equations. In order to discuss analytical solutions we extend Krori and Barua's method to include pressure anisotropy and linear or non-linear equations of state. The field equations are reduced to a system of three algebraic equations for the anisotropic pressures as well as matter and electrostatic energy densities. Attention is paid to compact sources characterized by positive matter density and positive radial pressure. Arising solutions satisfy the energy conditions of general relativity. Spheres with vanishing net charge contain fluid elements with unbounded proper charge density located at the fluid-vacuum interface. Notably the electric force acting on these fluid elements is finite, although the acting electric field is zero. Net charges can be huge ($10^{19}\,C$) and maximum electric field intensities are very large ($10^{23}-10^{24}\,statvolt/cm$) even in the case of zero net charge. Inward-directed fluid forces caused by pressure anisotropy may allow equilibrium configurations with larger net charges and electric field intensities than those found in studies of charged isotropic fluids. Links of these results with charged strange quark stars as well as models of dark matter including massive charged particles are highlighted. The van der Waals equation of state leading to matter densities constrained by cubic polynomial equations is briefly considered. The fundamental question of stability is left open.
