Towards Quantum-Ready Blockchain Fraud Detection via Ensemble Graph Neural Networks

Blockchain Business applications and cryptocurrencies such as enable secure, decentralized value transfer, yet their pseudonymous nature creates opportunities for illicit activity, challenging regulators and exchanges in anti money laundering (AML) enforcement. Detecting fraudulent transactions in blockchain networks requires models that can capture both structural and temporal dependencies while remaining resilient to noise, imbalance, and adversarial behavior. In this work, we propose an ensemble framework that integrates Graph Convolutional Networks (GCN), Graph Attention Networks (GAT), and Graph Isomorphism Networks (GIN) to enhance blockchain fraud detection. Using the real-world Elliptic dataset, our tuned soft voting ensemble achieves high recall of illicit transactions while maintaining a false positive rate below 1%, beating individual GNN models and baseline methods. The modular architecture incorporates quantum-ready design hooks, allowing seamless future integration of quantum feature mappings and hybrid quantum classical graph neural networks. This ensures scalability, robustness, and long-term adaptability as quantum computing technologies mature. Our findings highlight ensemble GNNs as a practical and forward-looking solution for real-time cryptocurrency monitoring, providing both immediate AML utility and a pathway toward quantum-enhanced financial security analytics.

V-ZOR: Enabling Verifiable Cross-Blockchain Communication via Quantum-Driven ZKP Oracle Relays

Cross-chain bridges and oracle DAOs represent some of the most vulnerable components of decentralized systems, with more than $2.8 billion lost due to trust failures, opaque validation behavior, and weak incentives. Current oracle designs are based on multisigs, optimistic assumptions, or centralized aggregation, exposing them to attacks and delays. Moreover, predictable committee selection enables manipulation, which threatens data integrity across chains. We propose V-ZOR, a verifiable oracle relay that integrates zero-knowledge proofs, quantum-grade randomness, and cross-chain restaking to mitigate these risks. Each oracle packet includes a Halo 2 proof verifying that the reported data was correctly aggregated using a deterministic median. To prevent committee manipulation, VZOR reseeds its VRF using auditable quantum entropy, ensuring unpredictable and secure selection of reporters. Reporters stake once on a shared restaking hub; any connected chain can submit a fraud proof to trigger slashing, removing the need for multisigs or optimistic assumptions. A prototype in Sepolia and Scroll achieves sub-300k gas verification, one-block latency, and a 10x increase in collusion cost. V-ZOR demonstrates that combining ZK attestation with quantum-randomized restaking enables a trust-minimized, high-performance oracle layer for cross-chain DeFi.

First Light for GRAVITY Wide: Large Separation Fringe Tracking for the Very Large Telescope Interferometer

GRAVITY+ is the upgrade of GRAVITY and the Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI) with wide-separation fringe tracking, new adaptive optics, and laser guide stars on all four 8~m Unit Telescopes (UTs), for ever fainter, all-sky, high contrast, milliarcsecond interferometry. Here we present the design and first results of the first phase of GRAVITY+, called GRAVITY Wide. GRAVITY Wide combines the dual-beam capabilities of the VLTI and the GRAVITY instrument to increase the maximum separation between the science target and the reference star from 2 arcseconds with the 8 m UTs up to several 10 arcseconds, limited only by the Earth's turbulent atmosphere. This increases the sky-coverage of GRAVITY by two orders of magnitude, opening up milliarcsecond resolution observations of faint objects, and in particular the extragalactic sky. The first observations in 2019 - 2022 include first infrared interferometry of two redshift $z\sim2$ quasars, interferometric imaging on the binary system HD 105913A, and repeated observations of multiple star systems in the Orion Trapezium Cluster. We find the coherence loss between the science object and fringe-tracking reference star well described by the turbulence of the Earth's atmosphere. We confirm that the larger apertures of the UTs result in higher visibilities for a given separation due to larger overlap of the projected pupils on sky and give predictions for visibility loss as a function of separation to be used for future planning.

Phase Slips and Metastability in Granular Boron-doped Nanocrystalline Diamond Microbridges

A phase slip is a localized disturbance in the coherence of a superconductor allowing an abrupt 2$π$ phase shift. Phase slips are a ubiquitous feature of one-dimensional superconductors and also have an analogue in two-dimensions. Here we present electrical transport measurements on boron-doped nanocrystalline diamond (BNCD) microbridges where, despite their three-dimensional macroscopic geometry, we find clear evidence of phase slippage in both the resistance-temperature and voltage-current characteristics. We attribute this behavior to the unusual microstructure of BNCD. We argue that the columnar crystal structure of BNCD forms an intrinsic Josephson junction array that supports a line of phase slippage across the microbridge. The voltage-state in these bridges is metastable and we demonstrate the ability to switch deterministically between different superconducting states by applying electromagnetic noise pulses. This metastability is remarkably similar to that observed in $δ$-MoN nanowires, but with a vastly greater response voltage.

A Diffusion Problem with Neumann Boundary Control Utilizing Total Mass

The author studies the diffusion problem $u_t=u_{xx},\ 0<x<1,\ t>0; \ u(x,0)=0,$ and $-u_x(0,t)=u_x(1,t)=ϕ(t),$ where $ϕ(t)$ is a control function that ensures that the total mass $\int_0^1 u(x,t_k)dx$ stays between two predetermined values. Mathematically, $ϕ(t)=1$ for $t_{2k} < t<t_{2k+1}$ and $ϕ(t)=-1$ for $t_{2k+1} <t<t_{2k+2},\ k=0,1,2,\ldots$ with $t_0=0$ and the sequence $t_{k}$ is determined by the equations $\int_0^1 u(x,t_k)dx = M,$ for $k=1,3,5,\dots,$ and $\int_0^1 u(x,t_k)dx = m,$ for $k=2,4,6,\dots$ and where $0<m<M<u_0$. Note that the switching times $t_k$ are unknowns. Determination of switching times $t_k$ and their differences $t_{k+1}-t_k$ are obtained. Numerical verifying examples are presented.

On fixing sets of composition and corona product of graphs

A fixing set $\mathcal{F}$ of a graph $G$ is a set of those vertices of the graph $G$ which when assigned distinct labels removes all the automorphisms from the graph except the trivial one. The fixing number of a graph $G$, denoted by $fix(G)$, is the smallest cardinality of a fixing set of $G$. In this paper, we study the fixing number of composition product, $G_1[G_2]$ and corona product, $G_1 \odot G_2$ of two graphs $G_1$ and $G_2$ with orders $m$ and $n$ respectively. We show that for a connected graph $G_1$ and an arbitrary graph $G_2$ having $l\geq 1$ components $G_2^1$, $G_2^2$, ... $G_2^l,$ $mn-1\geq fix(G_1[G_2])\geq m\left(\sum \limits_{i=1}^{l} fix(G_2^i )\right)$. For a connected graph $G_1$ and an arbitrary graph $G_2$, which are not asymmetric, we prove that $fix(G_1\odot G_2)=m fix( G_2)$. Further, for an arbitrary connected graph $G_{1}$ and an arbitrary graph $G_{2}$ we show that $fix(G_1\odot G_2)= max\{fix(G_1), m fix(G_2)\}$.

Supersymmetric Descendants of Self-Adjointly Extended Quantum Mechanical Hamiltonians

We consider the descendants of self-adjointly extended Hamiltonians in supersymmetric quantum mechanics on a half-line, on an interval, and on a punctured line or interval. While there is a 4-parameter family of self-adjointly extended Hamiltonians on a punctured line, only a 3-parameter sub-family has supersymmetric descendants that are themselves self-adjoint. We also address the self-adjointness of an operator related to the supercharge, and point out that only a sub-class of its most general self-adjoint extensions is physical. Besides a general characterization of self-adjoint extensions and their supersymmetric descendants, we explicitly consider concrete examples, including a particle in a box with general boundary conditions, with and without an additional point interaction. We also discuss bulk-boundary resonances and their manifestation in the supersymmetric descendant.
