Hairy Black holes in General Minimal Massive Gravity

In this work, we investigate the near horizon and asymptotic symmetries of static and rotating hairy$-$AdS black hole in the framework of general minimal massive gravity. We obtain energy, angular momentum and entropy of the solutions. Then we show that our results for these quantities are consistent with the first law of black hole thermodynamics. By considering the near horizon geometry of black hole, we find near horizon conserved charges and their algebra. By writing the algebra of conserved charges in terms of Fourier modes we have obtained the conserved charges in terms of zero modes.

Holographic Entanglement Entropy in $T\bar{T}$-deformed CFTs

In this work, we study the holographic entanglement entropy of two dimensional $T\bar{T}$-deformed conformal field theory. We compute the correction due to the deformation up to the leading order of the deformation parameter in the framework of New massive gravity, General minimal massive gravity, and Exotic general massive gravity. We also apply Song's prescription to obtain the entanglement entropy for deformed theories. In each cases, we find agreement between the results.

Holographic Entanglement negativity in flat space generalized minimal massive gravity

In this paper we study the application of holographic entanglement negativity proposal for bipartite states in the 2d Galilean conformal field theory ($GCFT_2$) dual to bulk asymptotically flat spacetimes in the context of generalized minimal massive gravity (GMMG) model. $GCFT_2$ is considered on the boundary side of the duality and the bulk gravity is described by GMMG that is asymptotically symmetric under the Galilean conformal transformations. In this paper, the replica technique, based on the two-point and the four-point twist correlators, is utilized and the entanglement entropy and the entanglement negativity are obtained in the bipartite configurations of the system in the boundary.

Holographically description of Kerr-Bolt Black hole in terms of the warped conformal field theory

Recently it has been speculated that a set of diffeomorphisms exist which act non-trivially on the horizon of some black holes such as Kerr and Kerr-Newman black hole. %\cite{Haco:2018ske,Haco:2019ggi}. Using this symmetry in covariant phase space formalism one can obtain conserved charges as surface integrals on the horizon. Kerr-Bolt spacetime is well-known for its asymptotic topology and has been studied widely in recent years. In this work we are going to study Kerr-Bolt black hole and provide a holographic description of it in term of warped conformal field theory.

Modular Hamiltonian in flat holography in the framework of generalized minimal massive gravity

Recently a general prescription for determining the vacuum modular flow generator and the corresponding modular Hamiltonian in the BMS-invariant field theories (BMSFTs) have provided by Apolo et. al \cite{Apolo}. According to this paper Einstein gravity in asymptotically flat three-dimensional spacetimes is dual to a BMSFT. In the present paper we extend this study to the generalized minimal massive gravity model (GMMG). So we study some aspects of $Flat_3/BMSFT$ holography in the framework of this model. We derive the modular Hamiltonian for single intervals in thermal and non-thermal BMSFTs and show its holographic dual is the gravitational charge associated with isometries that preserve the asymptotic form of the metric. Also using the modular Hamiltonian we derive the first law of entanglement entropy. Our results for GMMG model reduces to the result for Einstein gravity in $2+1$ dimension, when $μ, m^2 \to \infty $, and $σ=-1$. These limiting cases, are a place in parameter space of model, where GMMG model reduces to the Einstein gravity.

The reflected entropy in the GMMG/GCFT flat holography

We extend the reflected entropy to the bipartite state in a two dimensional Galilean conformal field theory ($GCFT_2$) which is dual to the asymptotically flat spacetime described by the generalized minimal massive gravity (GMMG). To this end we consider the Renyi entanglement entropy formula that can be related to the reflected entropy by some manipulations of the replica technique. In a limited case, we find the reflected entropy is twice the minimal entanglement wedge cross section (EWCS) and this is an evidence on the relation between the reflected entropy and the EWCS in the flat holography scenario.

Vacuum currents in partially compactified Rindler spacetime with an application to cylindrical black holes

The vacuum expectation value of the current density for a charged scalar field is investigated in Rindler spacetime with a part of spatial dimensions compactified to a torus. It is assumed that the field is prepared in the Fulling-Rindler vacuum state. For general values of the phases in the periodicity conditions and the lengths of compact dimensions, the expressions are provided for the Hadamard function and vacuum currents. The current density along compact dimensions is a periodic function of the magnetic flux enclosed by those dimensions and vanishes on the Rindler horizon. The obtained results are compared with the corresponding currents in the Minkowski vacuum. The near-horizon and large-distance asymptotics are discussed for the vacuum currents around cylindrical black holes. In the near-horizon approximation the lengths of compact dimensions are determined by the horizon radius. At large distances from the horizon the geometry is approximated by a locally anti-de Sitter spacetime with toroidally compact dimensions and the lengths of compact dimensions are determined by negative cosmological constant.

de Sitter field equations from quadratic curvature gravity: A group theoretical approach

In this paper, the linearized field equations related to the quadratic curvature gravity theory have been obtained in the four-dimensional de Sitter (dS) space-time. The massless spin-2 field equations have been written in terms of the Casimir operators of dS group making use of the ambient space notations. By imposing some simple constraints, arisen from group theoretical interpretation of the field equations, a new four-dimensional Gauss-Bonnet (GB)-like action has been introduced with the related field equations transforming according to the unitary irreducible representations (UIR's) of dS group. Since, the field equations transform according to the UIR's of dS group, the GB-like action, we just obtained, is expected to be a successful model of modified gravity. For more clarifying, the gauge invariant field equations have been solved in terms of a gauge-fixing parameter ${\cal{C}}$. It has been shown that the solution can be written as the multiplication of a symmetric rank-2 polarization tensor and a massless minimally coupled scalar field on dS space. The Gupta-Bleuler quantization method has been utilized and the covariant two-point function has been calculated in terms of the massless minimally coupled scalar two-point function, using the ambient space notations. It has been written in terms of dS intrinsic coordinates from the ambient space counterpart. The two-point functions are dS invariant and free of any theoretical problems. It means that the proposed model is a successful model of modified gravity and it can produce significant results in the contexts of classical theory of gravity and quantum gravity toy models.

Radiation properties of an oscillating atom in the presence of external fields

In the first part of the present work, the correction to photon emission rate of an oscillating two-level atom in the presence of electromagnetic quantum vacuum field has been investigated for two different configurations: (i) Atom is trapped in the vicinity of a perfect conductor (ii) Atom is trapped between two perfect conductors. In the second part, the correction to the decay rate of an initially excited oscillating two-level atom due to the presence of a perfect conducting surface is found.

BMS type symmetries at null-infinity and near horizon of non-extermal black holes

In this paper we consider a generally covariant theory of gravity, and extend the generalized off-shell ADT current such that it becomes conserved for field dependent (asymptotically) Killing vector field. Then we define the extended off-shell ADT current and the extended off-shell ADT charge. Consequently, we define the conserved charge perturbation by integrating from the extended off-shell ADT charge over a spacelike codimension two surface. Eventually, we use the presented formalism to find the conserved charge perturbation of an asymptotically flat spacetime. The conserved charge perturbation we obtain is exactly matched with the result of the paper \cite{6'}. These charges are as representations of the $BMS_4$ symmetry algebra. Also, we find that the near horizon conserved charges of a non-extremal black hole with extended symmetries are the Noether charges. For this case our result is also exactly matched with that of the paper \cite{15}.

Conserved Charges of Minimal Massive Gravity Coupled to Scalar Field

Recently, the theory of Topologically massive gravity non-minimally coupled to a scalar field has been proposed which comes from Lorentz-Chern-Simons theory \cite{1}. That theory is a torsion free one. We extend that theory by adding an extra term which makes torsion to be non-zero. The extended theory can be regarded as an extension of Minimal massive gravity such that it is non-minimally coupled to a scalar field. We obtain equations of motion of extended theory such that they are expressed in terms of usual torsion free spin-connection. We show that BTZ spacetime is a solution of this theory when scalar field is constant. We define quasi-local conserved charge by the concept of generalized off-shell ADT current which both are conserved for any asymptotically Killing vector field as well as a Killing vector field which is admitted by spacetime everywhere. Also we find general formula for entropy of stationary black hole solution in the context of considered theory. We apply the obtained formulas on BTZ black hole solution, to calculate energy, angular momentum and entropy of this soultion. We obtain the central extension term, the central charges and the eigenvalues of the Virasoro algebra generators for the BTZ black hole solution. We calculate energy and angular momentum of BTZ black hole using the eigenvalues of the Virasoro algebra generators. Also we calculate the entropy of BTZ black hole by using the Cardy formula. We find that obtained results using two different ways are exactly matched as we expected.

Inflation via logarithmic entropy-corrected holographic dark energy model

We study the inflation via logarithmic entropy-corrected holographic dark energy LECHDE model with future event horizon, particle horizon and Hubble horizon cut-offs, and compare the results with those of obtained in the study of inflation by holographic dark energy HDE model. In comparison, the spectrum of primordial scalar power spectrum in the LECHDE model becomes redder than the spectrum in HDE model. Moreover, the consistency with the observational data in LECHDE model of inflation, constrains the reheating temperature and Hubble parameter by one parameter of holographic dark energy and two new parameters of logarithmic corrections.

Lorentz-diffeomorphism Conserved Charges And Virasoro Algebra In Chern-Simons-Like Theories Of Gravity

The Chern-Simons-like theories of gravity (CSLTG) are formulated at first order formalism. In this formalism, the derivation of the entropy of a black hole on bifurcation surface, as a quasi-local conserved charge is problematic. In this paper we overcome to these problems by considering the concept of total variation and the Lorentz-Lie derivative. We firstly find an expression for the ADT conserved current in the context of the CSLTG which is based on the concept of the Killing vector fields. Then, we generalize it to be conserved for all diffeomorphism generators. Thus, we can extract an off-shell conserved charge for any vector field which generates a diffeomorphism. The formalism presented here is based on the concept of quasi-local conserved charges which are off-shell. The charges can be calculated on any codimension two space-like surface surrounding a black hole and the results are independent of the chosen surface. By using the off-shell quasi-local conserved charge, we investigate the Virasoro algebra and find a formula to calculate the central extension term. We apply the formalism to the BTZ black hole solution in the context of the Einstein gravity and the Generalized massive gravity, then we find the eigenvalues of their Virasoro generators as well as the corresponding central charges. Eventually, we calculate the entropy of the BTZ black hole by the Cardy formula and we show that the result exactly matches with the one obtained by the concept of the off-shell conserved charges.

Near Horizon Symmetries of the Non-Extremal Black Hole Solutions of Generalized Minimal Massive Gravity

We consider the Generalized Minimal Massive Gravity (GMMG) model in the first order formalism. We show that all the solutions of the Einstein gravity with negative cosmological constants solve the equations of motion of considered model. Then we find an expression for the off-shell conserved charges of this model. By considering the near horizon geometry of a three dimensional black hole in the Gaussian null coordinates, we find near horizon conserved charges and their algebra. The obtained algebra is centrally extended. By writing the algebra of conserved charges in terms of Fourier modes and considering the BTZ black hole solution as an example, one can see that the charge associated with rotations along $\mathcal{Y}_{0}$ coincides exactly with the angular momentum, and he charge associated with time translations $\mathcal{T}_{0}$ is the product of the black hole entropy and its temperature. As we expect, in the limit when the GMMG tends to the Einstein gravity, all the result we obtain in this paper reduce to the result of the paper \cite{5}.

Non-linear regime of the Generalized Minimal Massive Gravity in critical points

The Generalized Minimal Massive Gravity (GMMG) theory is realized by adding the CS deformation term, the higher derivative deformation term, and an extra term to pure Einstein gravity with a negative cosmological constant. In the present paper we obtain exact solutions to the GMMG field equations in the non-linear regime of the model. GMMG model about $AdS_3$ space is conjectured to be dual to a 2-dimensional CFT. We study the theory in critical points corresponding to the central charges $c_-=0$ or $c_+=0$, in the non-linear regime. We show that $AdS_3$ wave solutions are present, and have logarithmic form in critical points. Then we study the $AdS_3$ non-linear deformation solution. Furthermore we obtain logarithmic deformation of extremal BTZ black hole. After that using Abbott-Deser-Tekin method we calculate the energy and angular momentum of these types of black hole solutions.

On the Hamiltonian Analysis of Spin-3 Chern-Simons-Like Theories of Gravity

In this paper, we consider spin-3 Chern-Simons-like theories of gravity as extended theories of spin-3 gravity in (2+1)- dimension. In order to determine the number of local degrees of freedom we present the Hamiltonian formulation of these theories. We extract the Hamiltonian density, then we find primary and secondary constraints of these theories. Then we obtain the Poisson brackets of the primary and the secondary constraints. After that we count the number of local degrees of freedom of spin-3 Chern-Simons-like theories of gravity. We apply this method on spin-3 Einstein-Cartan gravity and spin-3 topologically massive gravity. According to the our results the spin-3 Einstein-Cartan gravity and the spin-3 topologically massive gravity have respectively zero and one bulk local degree of freedom.

Quasi-local conserved charges in Lorentz-diffeomorphism covariant theory of gravity

In this paper, using the combined Lorentz-diffeomorphism symmetry, we find a general formula for quasi-local conserved charge of the covariant gravity theories in first order formalism of gravity. We simplify the general formula for Lovelock theory of gravity. Afterwards, we apply the obtained formula on BHT gravity to obtain energy and angular momentum of the rotating OTT black hole solution in the context of this theory.

Quasi-Local Conserved Charges of Spin-3 Topologically Massive Gravity

In this paper we obtain conserved charges of spin-3 topologically massive gravity by using a quasi-local formalism. We find a general formula to calculate conserved charge of the spin-3 topologically massive gravity which corresponds to a Killing vector field $ξ$. We show that this general formula reduces to the previous one for the ordinary spin-3 gravity presented in \cite{31} when we take into account only transformation under diffeomorphism, without considering generalized Lorentz gauge transformation (i.e. $λ_ξ =0$), and by taking $\frac{1}μ\rightarrow 0$. Then we obtain a general formula for the entropy of black hole solutions of the spin-3 topologically massive gravity. Finally we apply our formalism to calculate energy, angular momentum and entropy of a special black hole solution and we find that obtained results are consistent with previous results in the limiting cases. Moreover our result for energy, angular momentum and entropy are consistent with the first law of black hole mechanics.

Revisiting Conserved Charges in Higher Curvature Gravitational Theories

Restricting the covariant gravitational phase spaces to the manifold of parametrized families of solutions, the mass, angular momenta, entropies, and electric charges can be calculated by a single and simple method. In this method, which has been called "solution phase space method," conserved charges are unambiguous and regular. Moreover, assuming the generators of the charges to be exact symmetries, entropies and other conserved charges can be calculated on almost arbitrary surfaces, not necessarily horizons or asymptotics. Hence, the first law of thermodynamics would be a local identity relating the exact symmetries to which the mass, angular momentum, electric charge, and entropy are attributed. In this paper, we apply this powerful method to the $f(R)$ gravitational theories accompanied by the terms quadratic in the Riemann and Ricci tensors. Furthermore, conserved charges and the first law of thermodynamics for some of their black hole solutions are exemplified. The examples include warped AdS$_3$, charged static BTZ, and 3-dimensional $z=3$ Lifshitz black holes.

The Heisenberg algebra as near horizon symmetry of the black flower solutions of Chern-Simons-like theories of gravity

In this paper we study the near horizon symmetry algebra of the non-extremal black hole solutions of the Chern-Simons-like theories of gravity, which are stationary but are not necessarily spherically symmetric. We define the extended off-shell ADT current which is an extension of the generalized ADT current. We use the extended off-shell ADT current to define quasi-local conserved charges such that they are conserved for Killing vectors and asymptotically Killing vectors which depend on dynamical fields of the considered theory. We apply this formalism to the Generalized Minimal Massive Gravity( GMMG) and obtain conserved charges of a spacetime which describes near horizon geometry of non-extremal black holes. Eventually, we find the algebra of conserved charges in Fourier modes. It is interesting that, similar to the Einstein gravity in the presence of negative cosmological constant, for the GMMG model also we obtain the Heisenberg algebra as the near horizon symmetry algebra of the black flower solutions. Also the vacuum state and all descendants of the vacuum have the same energy. Thus these zero energy excitations on the horizon appear as soft hairs on the black hole.

Black hole conserved charges in Generalized Minimal Massive Gravity

In this paper we construct mass, angular momentum and entropy of black hole solution of Generalized Minimal Massive Gravity (GMMG) in asymptotically Anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetimes. The generalized minimal massive gravity theory is realized by adding the CS deformation term, the higher derivative deformation term, and an extra term to pure Einstein gravity with a negative cosmological constant. We apply our result for conserved charge $Q^μ (\barξ)$ to the rotating BTZ black hole solution of GMMG, and find energy, angular momentum and entropy. Then we show our results for these quantities are consistent with the first law of black holes thermodynamics.

Black hole entropy in the Chern-Simons-like theories of gravity and Lorentz-diffeomorphism Noether charge

In the first order formalism of gravity theories, there are some theories which are not Lorentz-diffeomorphism covariant. In the framework of such theories we cannot apply the method of conserved charge calculation used in Lorentz-diffeomorphism covariant theories. In this paper we firstly introduce the total variation of a quantity due to an infinitesimal Lorentz-diffeomorphism transformation. Secondly, in order to obtain the conserved charges of Lorentz-diffeomorphism non-covariant theories, we extend the Tachikawa method \cite{3}. This extension includes not only Lorentz gauge transformation but also the diffeomorphism. We apply this method to the Chern-Simons-like theories of gravity (CSLTG) and obtain a general formula for the entropy of black holes in those theories. Finally, some examples on CSLTG are provided and the entropy of the BTZ black hole is calculated in the context of the examples.

Casimir force between two substrates within three different layers using the scattering approach

We compute the Casimir force for a system composed of two layers as substrates within three different homogenous layers. We use the scattering approach along with the Matsubara formalism in order to calculate the Casimir force at finite temperature. We impose the appropriate boundary condition on the tangential components of the electric and magnetic fields to construct the reflection matrices. Our calculation is simple such that one can extend it to systems containing inhomogeneous layers as good candidates for designing nanomachines. We find that the Casimir force is proportional to L^(-5) where L is the thickness of the inner layer.

On the Generalized Minimal Massive Gravity

In this paper we study the Generalized Minimal Massive Gravity (GMMG) in asymptotically $AdS_3$ background. The generalized minimal massive gravity theory is realized by adding the CS deformation term, the higher derivative deformation term, and an extra term to pure Einstein gravity with a negative cosmological constant. We study the linearized excitations around the $AdS_3$ background and find that at special point (tricritical) in parameter space the two massive graviton solutions become massless and they are replaced by two solutions with logarithmic and logarithmic-squared boundary behavior. So it is natural to proposed that GMMG model could also provide a holographic description for a $3-$rank Logarithmic Conformal Field Theory (LCFT). We calculate the energy of the linearized gravitons in $AdS_3$ background, and show that the theory is free of negative-energy bulk modes. Then we obtain the central charges of the CFT dual explicitly and show GMMG also avoids the aforementioned "bulk-boundary unitarity clash". After that we show that General Zwei-Dreibein Gravity (GZDG) model can reduce to GMMG model. Finally by a Hamiltonian analysis we show that the GMMG model has no Boulware-Deser ghosts and this model propagate only two physical modes.

On the new version of Generalized Zwei-Dreibein Gravity

In this paper we consider a generalization of zwei-dreibein gravity with a chern-Simons term associated to a constraint term which fixed the torsion. We count the local degrees of freedom of this model using Hamiltonian analysis and show that in contrast to the usual GZDG which has 2 bulk local degrees of freedom, our model has 3 propagating modes. Then by looking at the quadratic Lagrangian, we determine that these propagating modes are 3 massive graviton with different masses. Finally we obtain AdS wave solution as an example solution for this model.

Stability of cylindrical thin shell wormhole during evolution of universe from inflation to late time acceleration

In this paper, we consider the stability of cylindrical wormholes during evolution of universe from inflation to late time acceleration epochs. We show that there are two types of cylindrical wormholes. The first type is produced at the corresponding point where k black F-strings are transited to BIon configuration. This wormhole transfers energy from extra dimensions into our universe, causes inflation, loses it's energy and vanishes. The second type of cylindrical wormhole is created by a tachyonic potential and causes a new phase of acceleration. We show that wormhole parameters grow faster than the scale factor in this era, overtake it at ripping time and lead to the destruction of universe at big rip singularity.

The entropy formula of black holes in Minimal Massive Gravity and its application for BTZ black holes

In this paper we obtain the entropy formula of black hole solutions of Minimal Massive Gravity (MMG) by Tachikawa method \cite{a}. Then we apply this formula for BTZ black hole solution. We find that the usual Bekenstein-Hawking entropy is modified. The modification come from Chern-Simons (CS) term and new term in MMG. The contribution of CS term, which is proportional with inner radius of horizon is not new, but last term which is due to the new term of MMG, as usual is proportional to the outer radius of horizon and is new result. Then we show that the total entropy exactly can be reproduced by Cardy formula for entropy of the dual boundary CFT.

Vacuum densities for a brane intersecting the AdS boundary

We investigate the Wightman function, the mean field squared and the vacuum expectation values of energy-momentum tensor for a scalar field in AdS spacetime, in the presence of a brane perpendicular to the AdS boundary. On the brane the field operator obeys Robin boundary condition. The vacuum expectation values are decomposed into the boundary-free AdS and brane-induced contributions. In this way, for points away from the brane, the renormalization is reduced to the one in pure AdS spacetime. It is shown that at proper distances from the brane larger than the AdS curvature radius the brane-induced expectation values decay as power-law for both massless and massive scalars. This behavior is in contrast to that for a plane boundary in Minkowski spacetime, with an exponential decay for massive fields. For Robin boundary conditions different from Dirichlet and Neumann ones, the brane-induced part in the energy density is positive near the brane and negative at large distances. For Dirichlet/Neumann boundary condition the corresponding energy density is negative/positive everywhere. We show that, for a fixed value of the proper distance from the brane, near the AdS boundary, the Neumann boundary condition is an "attractor" in the general class of Robin boundary conditions, whereas Dirichlet boundary condition is an "attractor" near the horizon.

Analytical holographic superconductors in $AdS_N$ Lifshitz topological black holes

We present the analytic Lifshitz solutions for a scalar field model minimally coupled with the abelian gauge field in $N$ dimensions. We also consider the presence of cosmological constant $Λ$. The Lifshitz parameter $z$ appearing in the solution plays the role of the Lorentz breaking parameter of the model. We investigate the thermodynamical properties of the solutions and discuss the energy issue. Furthermore, we study the hairy black hole solutions in which the abelian gauge field breaks the symmetry near the horizon. In the holographic picture, it is equivalent to a second order phase transition. Explicitly we show that there exists a critical temperature which is a function of the Lifshitz parameter $z$. The system below the critical temperature becomes superconductor, but the critical exponent of the model remains the same of the usual holographic superconductors without the higher order gravitational corrections, in agreement with Ginzburg-Landau theories.

Born-Infeld Gravity Revisited

In this paper we investigate the behavior of linearized gravitational excitation in the Born-Infeld Gravity in $AdS_3$ space. We obtain the linearized equation of motion and show that this higher order gravity propagate two gravitons, massless and massive, on the $AdS_3$ background. In contrast to the $R^2$ models, such as TMG or NMG, Born-Infeld Gravity does not have a critical point for any regular choice of parameters. So the logarithmic solution is not a solution of this model, due to this one can not find a logarithmic conformal field theory as a dual model for Born-Infeld Gravity.

Casimir Energy between a Sinusoidally Corrugated Sphere and a Plate Using Proximity Force Approximation

In this paper aiming to obtain the Casimir energy between a sinusoidally corrugated sphere and a plate, we first present a derivation of the sphere-plate Casimir force obtained by applying proximity force approximation (PFA). One may investigate this problem by using the scattering matrix method. Despite that this method achieves the exact result, but difficulties of applying this formalism make the procedure complicated. We use the PFA to achieve the purpose in a truly explicit manner. Considering the sphere to have different kinds of sinusoidally corrugations, we obtain the effect of deformation on the Casimir interaction energy. We suppose that $ a/r \leqslant 0.00755$ for the validity of PFA and an experimental accuracy goal of $1\verb"%"$ in the case of sphere with radius $r$ at a minimal distance $a$ from a plate \cite{0601094}. The effect of finite conductivity would be non negligible for such short distances. To reduce the inaccuracy of the result obtained by PFA, we have also investigate thermal corrections of the Casimir force.

Condensation of the scalar field with Stuckelberg and Weyl Corrections in the background of a planar AdS-Schwarzschild black hole

We study analytical properties of the Stuckelberg holographic superconductors with Weyl corrections. We obtain the minimum critical temperature as a function of the mass of the scalar field $m^2$. We show that in limit of the $m^2=-3$,$T^{Min}_c\approx0.158047\sqrt[3]ρ$ which is close to the numerical estimate $T_c^{Numerical}\approx 0.170\sqrt[3]ρ$. Further we show that the mass of the scalar field in bounded from below by the $ m^2>m_c^2$ where $m_c^2=-5.40417$. This lower bound is weaker and different from the previous lower bound $m^2=-3$ predicted by stability analysis. We show that in the Breitenlohner-Freedman bound, the critical temperature remains finite. Explicitly, we prove that here there is exist a linear relation between $<O_Δ>$ and the chemical potential.

Constructing warm inflationary model in brane-antibrane system

Recently, various observational data predict a possibility that inflation may naturally occur in a warm region. In this scenario, radiation is produced during the inflation epoch and reheating is avoided. The main question arises that what is the origin of warm inflation in 4D universe? We answer to this question in brane-antibrane system. We propose a model that allows all cosmological parameters like the scale factor a, the Hubble parameter H and phantom energy density depend on the equation of state parameter in transverse dimension between two branes. Thus, an enhancement in these parameters can be a signature of some evolutions in extra dimension. In our model, the expansion of 4D universe is controlled by the separation distance between branes and evolves from non-phantom phase to phantom one. Consequently, phantom-dominated era of the universe accelerates and ends up in big-rip singularity. Also, we show that as the tachyon potential increases, the effect of interaction between branes on the 4D universe expansion becomes systematically more effective, because at higher energies there exists more channels for flowing energy from extra dimension to other four dimensions. Finally, we test our model against WMAP and Planck data and obtain the ripping time. According to experimental data, $N\simeq 50$ case leads to $n_{s}\simeq 0.96$, where \emph{N} and $n_{s}$ are the number e-folds and the spectral index respectively. This standard case may be found in $0.01 < R_{Tensor-scalar } < 0.22$, where $R_{Tensor-scalar }$ is the tensor-scalar ratio. At this point, the finite time that Big Rip singularity occurs is $t_{rip}=33(Gyr)$.

Constructing warm inflationary model in finite temperature BIon

We study warm inflationary universe model on the BIon in thermal background. The BIon is a configuration in flat space of a D-brane and a parallel anti-D-brane connected by a wormhole with F-string charge. When the branes and antibranes are well separated and the brane's spike is far from the antibrane's spike, wormhole isn't formed however when two branes are close to each other, they can be connected by a wormhole. In this condition, there exists many channels for flowing energy from extra dimensions into our universe and inflation may naturally occur in a warm region. We present a model that allows all cosmological parameters like the scale factor $a$, the Hubble parameter $H$ and universe energy density depend on the shape function and temperature of wormhole in transverse dimension between two branes. In our model, the expansion of 4D universe is controlled by the thermal wormhole between branes and ends up in Big-Rip singularity. We show that at this singularity, universe would be destroyed and one black F-string formed. Finally, we test our model against WMAP, Planck and BICEP2 data and obtain the ripping time. According to experimental data, $N\simeq 50$ case leads to $n_{s}\simeq 0.96$, where \emph{N} and $n_{s}$ are the number e-folds and the spectral index respectively. This standard case may be found in $0.01 < R_{Tensor-scalar } < 0.3$, where $R_{Tensor-scalar }$ is the tensor-scalar ratio. At this point, the finite time that Big Rip singularity occurs is $t_{rip}=29(Gyr)$ for WMAP and Planck data and $t_{rip}=27.5(Gyr)$ for BICEP2 data. Comparing this time with the time of Big Rip in brane-antibrane, we find that the wormhole in BIonic system accelerates the destruction of the universe.

Cosmological perturbations in warm-tachyon inflationary universe model with viscous pressure

We study the warm-tachyon inflationary universe model with viscous pressure in high-dissipation regime. General conditions which are required for this model to be realizable are derived in the slow-roll approximation. We present analytic expressions for density perturbation and amplitude of tensor perturbation in longitudinal gauge. Expressions of tensor-to-scalar ratio, scalar spectral index and its running are obtained. We develop our model by using exponential potential, the characteristics of this model are calculated for two specific cases in great details: 1- Dissipative parameter $Γ$ and bulk viscous parameter $ζ$ are constant parameters. 2- Dissipative parameter is a function of tachyon field $ϕ$ and bulk viscous parameter is a function of matter-radiation mixture energy density $ρ$. The parameters of the model are restricted by recent observational data from the nine-year Wilkinson microwave anisotropy probe (WMAP9), Planck and BICEP2 data.

Lateral Casimir Force between Two Sinusoidally Corrugated Eccentric Cylinders Using Proximity Force Approximation

This paper is devoted to the presentation of the lateral Casimir force between two sinusoidally corrugated eccentric cylinders. Despite that applying scattering matrix method explains the problem exactly, procedure of applying this method is somehow complicated specially at nonzero temperature. Using the proximity force approximation (PFA) helps to achieve the lateral Casimir force in a truly explicit manner. We assume the cylinders to be slightly eccentric with similar radiuses and separations much smaller than corrugations' wave length for the validity of PFA. For such short distances the effect of finite conductivity would be non negligible. In addition to the effect of finite conductivity, we investigate thermal corrections of the lateral Casimir force to reduce the inaccuracy of the result obtained by PFA. Assuming the Casimir force density between two parallel plates, the normal Casimir force between two cylinders is obtained. With the aid of additive summation of the Casimir energy between cylinders without corrugation, we obtain the lateral Casimir force between corrugated cylinders.

Logarithmic curvature correction to Lifshitz and hyperscaling violation geometries

In this note we consider the logarithmic curvature correction to Lifshitz and hyper scaling violation geometries. We investigate the effect of this correction to the gauge kinetic function f and the effective potential V . For the case of hyper scaling violating we show that the coupling between dilaton and the correction terms exhibit the logarithmic behavior for dilaton like for the case of squared curvature correction. We find the unexpected form of gauge kinetic function and potential in the presence of logarithmic terms. We try to resolve the IR singularity of Lifshitz and hyperscaling violation geometries by adding the logarithmic term.

In slow-roll approximation the primordial perturbation spectrums for this model are calculated. We also obtain the general expressions of the tensor-to-scalar ratio, scalar spectral index. We develop this model by using exponential potential, the characteristics of this model is calculated in great details. The parameters of the model are restricted by recent observational data from Planck, WMAP9 and BICEP2.

Some aspects of non-abelian gauge field inflation model

In this paper we study non-abelian gauge field inflation (gauge-flation) model in the context of intermediate and logamediate scenario. Important parameters of this model are presented for these two cases. Numerical study shows that the intermediate and logamediate gauge-flation are compatible with WMAP9 observational data. For intermediate inflation, where the cosmological scale factor expands as: $a(t)=a_0\exp(At^f)$ ($A>0, 0<f<1$), $N\geq 100$ cases lead to $0.02<r<0.11$ ($r$ is tensor-scalar ratio) and $N\simeq50 $ case leads to $n_s\simeq 0.96$ ($n_s$ is spectral index). These constraints of perturbation parameters are agree with Planck and WMAP9 data. For logamediate model, where the scale factor expands as: $a(t)=a_0 \exp(a[\ln t]^λ)$ ($λ>1, A>0$), $N\geq 200$ and $λ=2$ cases lead to interesting agreement with observational data.

Warm-Intermediate Inflationary Universe Model with Viscous Pressure in High Dissipative Regime

Warm inflation model with bulk viscous pressure in the context of "intermediate inflation" where the cosmological scale factor expands as $a(t)=a_0\exp(At^f)$, is studied. The characteristics of this model in slow-roll approximation and in high dissipative regime are presented in two cases: 1- Dissipative parameter $Γ$ as a function of scalar field $ϕ$ and bulk viscous coefficient $ζ$ as a function of energy density $ρ$. 2- $Γ$ and $ζ$ are constant parameters. Scalar, tensor perturbations and spectral indices for this scenario are obtained. The cosmological parameters appearing in the present model are constrained by recent observational data (WMAP7).

Can $f(T)$ gravity theories mimic $Λ$CDM cosmic history

Recently the teleparallel Lagrangian density described by the torsion scalar T has been extended to a function of T. The $f(T)$ modified teleparallel gravity has been proposed as the natural gravitational alternative for dark energy to explain the late time acceleration of the universe. In order to reconstruct the function $f(T)$ by demanding a background $Λ$CDM cosmology we assume that, (i) the background cosmic history provided by the flat $Λ$CDM (the radiation ere with $ω_{eff}=1/3$, matter and de Sitter eras with $ω_{eff}=0$ and $ω_{eff}=-1$, respectively) (ii) the radiation dominate in the radiation era with $Ω_{0r}=1$ and the matter dominate during the matter phases when $Ω_{0m}=1$. We find the cosmological dynamical system which can obey the $Λ$CDM cosmic history. In each era, we find a critical lines that, the radiation dominated and the matter dominated are one points of them in the radiation and matter phases, respectively. Also, we drive the cosmologically viability condition for these models. We investigate the stability condition with respect to the homogeneous scalar perturbations in each era and we obtain the stability conditions for the fixed points in each eras. Finally, we reconstruct the function $f(T)$ which mimics cosmic expansion history.

Finite-time future singularities models in $f(T)$ gravity and the effects of viscosity

We investigate models of future finite-time singularities in $f(T)$ theory, where $T$ is the torsion scalar. The algebraic function $f(T)$ is put as the teleparallel term $T$ plus an arbitrary function $g(T)$. A suitable expression of the Hubble parameter is assumed and constraints are imposed in order to provide an expanding universe. Two parameters $β$ and $H_s$ that appear in the Hubble parameter are relevant in specifying the types of singularities. Differential equations of $g(T)$ are established and solved, leading to the algebraic $f(T)$ models for each type of future finite time singularity. Moreover, we take into account the viscosity in the fluid and discuss three interesting cases: constant viscosity, viscosity proportional to $\sqrt{-T}$ and the general one where the viscosity is proportional to $(-T)^{n/2}$, where $n$ is a natural number. We see that for the first and second cases, in general, the singularities are robust against the viscous fluid, while for the general case, the Big Rip and the Big Freeze can be avoided from the effects of the viscosity for some values of $n$.

Formulation of Electrodynamics with an External Source in the Presence of a Minimal Measurable Length

In a series of papers, Quesne and Tkachuk (J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. \textbf{39}, 10909 (2006); Czech. J. Phys. \textbf{56}, 1269 (2006)) presented a $D+1$-dimensional $(β,β')$-two-parameter Lorentz-covariant deformed algebra which leads to a nonzero minimal measurable length. In this paper, the Lagrangian formulation of electrodynamics in a 3+1-dimensional space-time described by Quesne-Tkachuk algebra is studied in the special case $β'=2β$ up to first order over the deformation parameter $β$. It is demonstrated that at the classical level there is a similarity between electrodynamics in the presence of a minimal measurable length (generalized electrodynamics) and Lee-Wick electrodynamics. We obtain the free space solutions of the inhomogeneous Maxwell's equations in the presence of a minimal length. These solutions describe two vector particles (a massless vector particle and a massive vector particle). We estimate two different upper bounds on the isotropic minimal length. The first upper bound is near to the electroweak length scale $(\ell_{electroweak}\sim 10^{-18}\, m)$, while the second one is near to the length scale for the strong interactions $(\ell_{strong}\sim 10^{-15}\, m)$. The relationship between the Gaete-Spallucci nonlocal electrodynamics (J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. \textbf{45}, 065401 (2012)) and electrodynamics with a minimal length is investigated.

Lagrangian Formulation of a Magnetostatic Field in the Presence of a Minimal Length Scale Based on the Kempf Algebra

In the 1990s, Kempf and his collaborators Mangano and Mann introduced a $D$-dimensional $(β,β')$-two-parameter deformed Heisenberg algebra which leads to an isotropic minimal length $(\triangle X^{i})_{min}=\hbar\sqrt{Dβ+β'}\;,\forall i\in \{1,2, \cdots,D\}$. In this work, the Lagrangian formulation of a magnetostatic field in three spatial dimensions $(D=3)$ described by Kempf algebra is presented in the special case of $β'=2β$ up to the first order over $β$. We show that at the classical level there is a similarity between magnetostatics in the presence of a minimal length scale (modified magnetostatics) and the magnetostatic sector of the Abelian Lee-Wick model in three spatial dimensions. The integral form of Ampere's law and the energy density of a magnetostatic field in the modified magnetostatics are obtained. Also, the Biot-Savart law in the modified magnetostatics is found. By studying the effect of minimal length corrections to the gyromagnetic moment of the muon, we conclude that the upper bound on the isotropic minimal length scale in three spatial dimensions is $4.42\times10^{-19}m$. The relationship between magnetostatics with a minimal length and the Gaete-Spallucci non-local magnetostatics (J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. \textbf{45}, 065401 (2012)) is investigated.

Searching for AdS_3 waves and Asymptotically Lifshitz black holes in R^3-NMG

In this paper we consider the structure of the $AdS_3$ vacua in $R^3$ expansion of the New Massive Gravity ($R^3$-NMG). We obtain the degeneracies of the $AdS_3$ vacua at several points of the parametric space. Additionally, following a specific analysis we show that $AdS_3$ wave solutions are present. Using these wave solutions, we single out two special points of the parametric space for which logarithmic terms appear in the solutions. The first one is a point at which the effective mass of the wave profile which is interpreted as a scalar mode, completely saturates the Breitenlohner-Freedman bound of the $AdS_3$ space in which the wave is propagating. The second special point is a point at which the central charge of the theory vanishes. Furthermore, we investigate the possibility of asymptotically Lifshitz black solutions to be present in the three-dimensional $R^3$-NMG. We derive analytically the Lifshitz vacua considering specific relations between the mass parameters of $R^3$-NMG. A certain polynomial equation arises at the first special point where solutions with logarithmic fall-off in the $AdS_3$ space appear. Solving this polynomial equation, we obtain the values of the dynamical exponent $z$ which correspond to possible asymptotically Lifshitz black hole solutions. However, it is shown that asymptotically Lifshitz black solutions do not exist in the three-dimensional $R^3$-NMG for a specific ansatz of the black hole metric.

Tachyon Warm-Logamediate Inflationary Universe Model in High Dissipative Regime

In the present work, we study warm tachyon inflation model in the context of "logamediate inflation" where the cosmological scale factor expands as $a=a_0\exp(A[\ln t]^λ)$. The characteristics of this model in slow-roll approximation are presented in two cases: 1- Dissipative parameter $Γ$ is a function of tachyon field $ϕ$. 2- $Γ$ is a constant parameter. The level of non-Gaussianity of this model is found for these two cases. Scalar and tensor perturbations for this scenario are presented. The parameters appearing in our model are constrained by recent observational data (WMAP7). Harrison-Zeldovich spectrum, i.e. $n_s=1,$ is approximately obtained for large values of $λ$ (i.e. $λ\simeq 50$)and normal value of number of e-folds, i.e. $N\simeq 60$. On the other hand, the scale invariant spectrum (Harrison-Zeldovich spectrum) is given by using two parameters in our model. For intermediate inflation, where the cosmological scale factor expands as $a=a_0\exp(A t^{f}),$ this spectrum has been exactly obtained using one parameter, i.e. $f=2/3$ \cite{2-n}.

Anti--de Sitter/ boundary conformal field theory correspondence in the non-relativistic limit

Boundary conformal field theory (BCFT) is the study of conformal field theory (CFT) in semi-infinite space-time. In non-relativistic limit ($x\rightarrowεx, t\rightarrow t, ε\rightarrow 0$), boundary conformal algebra changes to boundary Galilean conformal algebra (BGCA). In this work, some aspects of AdS/BCFT in non-relatvistic limit were explored. We constrain correlation functions of Galilean conformal invariant fields with BGCA generators. For a situation with a boundary condition at surface $x=0$ ($z=\bar{z}$), our result is agree with non-relativistic limit of BCFT two-point function. We also, introduce holographic dual of boundary Galilean conformal field theory.

For a situation with a boundary condition in surface $z=\bar{z}$ ($t=0$), the results agree with gravity dual results. We also explore representations of conformal group in two dimensions.

Cosmological New Massive Gravity and Galilean Conformal Algebra in 2-dimensions

In the present paper we consider the realization of $2-$dimensional Galilean conformal algebra ($GCA_2$) on the boundary of cosmological new massive gravity. At first we consider the contracted BTZ black hole solution. We obtain entropy formula for the $GCA_2$ in term of contracted scaling dimension $Δ$ and central charge $C_1$. This entropy formula exactly matches with the non-relativistic limit of Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of BTZ black hole. Then we extend our study to the contracted warped $AdS_3$ black hole solution of CNMG. We obtain the entropy of dual $GCA_2$ in terms of central charges and finite temperatures, $T_1, T_2$. Again this expression coincides with the non-relativistic limit of Bekenstein-Hawking entropy formula of warped $AdS_3$ black hole.

We show that in the phase space exists two cosmologically viable trajectory which (i) The universe would start from an unstable radiation point, then pass a saddle standard matter point which is followed by accelerated expansion de sitter point. (ii) The universe starts from a saddle radiation epoch, then falls onto the stable matter era and the system can not evolve to the dark energy dominated epoch. Finally, for a number of $f(T)$ dark energy models were proposed in the more literature, the viability conditions are investigated.

In this work, the Lagrangian formulation of an electrostatic field in three spatial dimensions described by Kempf algebra is studied in the case where $β'=2β$ up to first order over deformation parameter $β$. It is shown that there is a similarity between electrostatics in the presence of a minimal length (modified electrostatics) and higher derivative Podolsky's electrostatics. The important property of this modified electrostatics is that the classical self-energy of a point charge becomes a finite value. Two different upper bounds on the isotropic minimal length of this modified electrostatics are estimated. The first upper bound will be found by treating the modified electrostatics as a classical electromagnetic system, while the second one will be estimated by considering the modified electrostatics as a quantum field theoretic model. It should be noted that the quantum upper bound on the isotropic minimal length in this paper is near to the electroweak length scale $(\ell_{electroweak}\sim 10^{-18}\, m)$.

Particle creation in flat FRW Universe in the framework of $f(T)$ gravity

We study particle production aspect in the flat FRW universe in the framework of $f(T)$ gravity. The matter is minimally coupled with the gravity and an exact power-law solution is obtained by solving the Friedmann equations, and matter is assumed to be minimally coupled with gravitation. The torsion scalar $T$ appears to plays the same role as the the curvature (Ricci scalar) in the the General Relativity (GR) and its modified theories $f(R)$. Specially in phantom phase, we observe that the vacuum state corresponds to a vanishing torsion scalar and particle production becomes important as the torsion scalar diverges. This aspect, not only provides the equivalence between the teleparallel gravity and the GR, but also between their respective modified versions, f(T) and f(R), in the view of massless particle production phenomenon when the matter is minimally coupled with the gravity. However, when the gravitational and scalar fields are not minimally coupled, it appears that this similarity between the teleparallel and GR may break down, due to the fact that the torsion scalar has no longer the same time dependent expression as the Ricci scalar.

A note on holographic superconductors with Weyl Corrections

We study analytical properties of the holographic superconductors with Weyl corrections. We describe the phenomena in the probe limit neglecting backreaction of the space-time. We observe that for the conformal dimension $\triangle_{+}=3$, the minimum value of the critical temperature $T^{Min}_c$ at which condensation sets, can be obtained directly from the equations of motion as $T^{Min}_c\approx 0.170845\sqrt[3]ρ$, which is in very good agreement with the numerical value $T^{Min}_c=0.170\sqrt[3]ρ$ [Phys.Lett.B697:153-158,2011]. This value of $T^{Min}_c$ corresponds to the value of the Weyl's coupling $γ=-0.06$ in table (1) of [Phys.Lett.B697:153-158,2011]. We calculate the $T^{Min}_c\approx 0.21408\sqrt[3]ρ$ for another Weyl's coupling $γ=0.02$ and the the conformal dimension $\triangle_{-}=1$. Further, we show that the critical exponent is $β=1/2$. Correspondence between the contracted BTZ solution of cosmological topological massive gravity and two-dimensional Galilean conformal algebra

We show that BTZ black hole solution of Cosmological Topological Massive Gravity (CTMG) have a hidden conformal symmetry. In this regard, we consider the wave equation of a massless scalar field propagating in BTZ spacetime and find the wave equation could be written in terms of the $SL(2,R)$ quadratic Casimir. From the conformal coordinates, the temperatures of the dual CFTs could be read directly. Moreover, we compute the microscopic entropy of the dual CFT by Cardy formula and find a perfect match to Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of BTZ black hole. Then we consider Glilean conformal algebras (GCA), which arises as a contraction of relativistic conformal algebras ($x\rightarrow εx$, $t\rightarrow t$, $ε\rightarrow 0$). We show that there is a correspondence between $GCA_2$ on the boundary and contracted BTZ in the bulk. For this purpose we obtain the central charges and temperatures of $GCA_2$. Then we compute the microscopic entropy of the $GCA_2$ by Cardy formula and find a perfect match to Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of BTZ black hole in non-relativistic limit. The absorption cross section of a near region scalar field also matches to microscopic absorption cross section of the dual $GCA_2$. In this work, the Lagrangian formulation of the spinor field in a (3+1)-dimensional space-time described by Quesne-Tkachuk Lorentz-covariant deformed algebra is studied in the case where $β'=2β$ up to first order over deformation parameter $β$. It is shown that the modified Dirac equation which contains higher order derivative of the wave function describes two massive particles with different masses. We show that physically acceptable mass states can only exist for $β<\frac{1}{8m^{2}c^{2}}$. Applying the condition $β<\frac{1}{8m^{2}c^{2}}$ to an electron, the upper bound for the isotropic minimal length becomes about $3 \times 10^{-13}m$. This value is near to the reduced Compton wavelength of the electron $(λ_c = \frac{\hbar}{m_{e}c} = 3.86\times 10^{-13} m)$ and is not incompatible with the results obtained for the minimal length in previous investigations.

The central charges of GCA can be expressed in term of Virasoro central charges. For finite and non-zero GCA central charges, the Virasoro central charges must behave as asymmetric form $O(1)\pm O(\frac{1}ε)$. We propose that, the bulk description for 2d GCA with asymmetric central charges is given by general massive gravity (GMG) in three dimensions. It can be seen that, if the gravitational Chern-Simons coupling $\frac{1}μ$ behaves as of order O($\frac{1}ε$) or ($μ\rightarrowεμ$), the central charges of GMG have the above $ε$ dependence. So, in non-relativistic scaling limit $μ\rightarrowεμ$, we calculated GCA parameters and finite entropy in term of gravity parameters mass and angular momentum of GMG.

Hidden Conformal Symmetry of Rotating Black Holes in Minimal Five-Dimensional Gauged Supergravity

In the present paper we show that for a low frequency limit the wave equation of massless scalar field in the background of non-extremal charged rotating black holes in five-dimensional minimal gauged and ungauged supergravity can be written as the Casimir of an $SL(2,R)$ symmetry, our result show that the entropy of the black hole is reproduced by the Cardy formula, also the absorption cross section is in consistence with the finite temperature absorption cross section for a 2D CFT.

Holographic description of Kerr-Bolt-AdS-dS Spacetimes

We show that there exists a holographic 2D CFT description of a Kerr-Bolt-AdS-dS spacetime. We first consider the wave equation of a massless scalar field propagating in extremal Kerr-Bolt-AdS-dS spacetimes and find in the "near region", the wave equation in extremal limit could be written in terms of the $SL(2,R)$ quadratic Casimir. This suggests that there exist dual CFT descriptions of these black holes. In the probe limit, we compute the scattering amplitudes of the scalar off the extremal black holes and find perfect agreement with the CFT prediction. Furthermore we study the holographic description of the generic four dimensional non-extremal Kerr-Bolt-AdS-dS black holes. We find that if focusing on the near-horizon region, for the massless scalar scattering in the low-frequency limit, the radial equation could still be rewritten as the $SL(2,R)$ quadratic Casimir, suggesting the existence of dual 2D description. We read the temperatures of the dual CFT from the conformal coordinates and obtain the central charges by studying the near-horizon geometry of near-extremal black holes. We recover the macroscopic entropy from the microscopic counting. We also show that for the superradiant scattering, the retarded Green's functions and the corresponding absorption cross sections are in perfect match with CFT prediction.

Quantum Hall effect and the different zero energy modes of graphene

The effect of an inhomogeneous magnetic field which varies inversely as distance on the ground state energy level of graphene is studied. In this work, we analytically show that graphene under the influence of a magnetic field arising from a straight long current-carrying wire ( proportional to the magnetic field from carbon nanotubes and nanowires) exhibits zero energy solutions. We find that contrary to the case of a uniform magnetic field for which the zero energy modes show the localization of electrons entirely on just one sublattice corresponding to single valley Hamiltonian, zero energy solutions in this case reveal that the probability for the electrons to be on the both sublattices, say A and B, are the same.

Thermodynamics of viscous dark energy in an RSII braneworld

We show that for an RSII braneworld filled with interacting viscous dark energy and dark matter, one can always rewrite the Friedmann equation in the form of the first law of thermodynamics, $dE=T_hdS_h+WdV$, at apparent horizon. In addition, the generalized second law of thermodynamics can fulfilled in a region enclosed by the apparent horizon on the brane for both constant and time variable 5-dynamical Newton's constant $G_5$. These results hold regardless of the specific form of the dark energy. Our study further support that in an accelerating universe with spatial curvature, the apparent horizon is a physical boundary from the thermodynamical point of view.

Time varying gravitational constant G via the entropic force

If the uncertainty principle applies to the Verlinde entropic idea, it leads to a new term in the Newton's second law of mechanics in the Planck's scale. This curious velocity dependence term inspires a frictional feature of the gravity. In this short letter we address that this new term modifies the effective mass and the Newtonian constant as the time dependence quantities. Thus we must have a running on the value of the effective mass on the particle mass $m$ near the holographic screen and the $G$. This result has a nigh relation with the Dirac hypothesis about the large numbers hypothesis (L.N.H.) [1]. We propose that the corrected entropic terms via Verlinde idea can be brought as a holographic evidence for the authenticity of the Dirac idea.

Viscous dark energy and generalized second law of thermodynamics

We examine the validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics in a non-flat universe in the presence of viscous dark energy. At first we assume that the universe filled only with viscous dark energy. Then, we extend our study to the case where there is an interaction between viscous dark energy and pressureless dark matter. We examine the time evolution of the total entropy, including the entropy associated with the apparent horizon and the entropy of the viscous dark energy inside the apparent horizon. Our study show that the generalized second law of thermodynamics is always protected in a universe filled with interacting viscous dark energy and dark matter in a region enclosed by the apparent horizon. Finally, we show that the the generalized second law of thermodynamics is fulfilled for a universe filled with interacting viscous dark energy and dark matter in the sense that we take into account the Casimir effect.

Bouncing Universe and Reconstructing Vector Field

Motivated by the recent works of Refs. \cite{R1, R2} where a model of inflation has been suggested with non-minimally coupled massive vector fields, we generalize their work to the study of the bouncing solution. So we consider a massive vector field, which is non-minimally coupled to gravity. Also we consider non-minimal coupling of vector field to the scalar curvature. Then we reconstruct this model in the light of three forms of parametrization for dynamical dark energy. Finally we simply plot reconstructed physical quantities in flat universe.

Casimir effect for curved boundaries in Robertson-Walker spacetime

Vacuum expectation values of the energy-momentum tensor and the Casimir forces are evaluated for scalar and electromagnetic fields in the geometry of two curved boundaries on background of the Robertson-Walker spacetime with negative spatial curvature. Robin boundary conditions are imposed in the case of the scalar field and perfect conductor boundary conditions are assumed for the electromagnetic field. We use the conformal relation between the Robertson-Walker and Rindler spacetimes and the corresponding results for two parallel plates moving with uniform proper acceleration through the Fulling-Rindler vacuum. For the general scale factor the vacuum energy-momentum tensor is decomposed into the boundary free and boundary induced parts. The latter is non-diagonal. The Casimir forces are directed along the normals to the boundaries. For Dirichlet and Neumann scalars and for the electromagnetic field these forces are attractive for all separations.

Correspondence between entropy-corrected holographic and Gauss-Bonnet dark energy models

In the present work we investigate the cosmological implications of the entropy-corrected holographic dark energy (ECHDE) density in the Gauss-Bonnet framework. This is motivated from the loop quantum gravity corrections to the entropy-area law. Assuming the two cosmological scenarios are valid simultaneously, we show that there is a correspondence between the ECHDE scenario in flat universe and the phantom dark energy model in the framework of Gauss-Bonnet theory with a potential. This correspondence leads consistently to an accelerating universe.

Hidden Conformal Symmetry of Extremal Kerr-Bolt Spacetimes

We show that extremal Kerr-Bolt spacetimes have a hidden conformal symmetry. In this regard, we consider the wave equation of a massless scalar field propagating in extremal Kerr-Bolt spacetimes and find in the "near region", the wave equation in extremal limit can be written in terms of the $SL(2,R)$ quadratic Casimir. Hidden Conformal Symmetry of Kerr-Bolt Spacetimes

We extend the recent proposal of hidden conformal symmetry to the four-dimensional spacetimes with rotational parameter and NUT twist. We consider the wave equation of a massless scalar field in background of Kerr-Bolt spacetimes and show in the "near region", the wave equation can be reproduced by the $SL(2,R)_L \times SL(2,R)_R$ Casimir quadratic operators. Moreover, we compute the microscopic entropy of the dual CFT by Cardy formula and find a perfect match to Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of Kerr-Bolt spacetimes. Holographic dark energy in Brans-Dicke cosmology with chameleon scalar field

We study a cosmological implication of holographic dark energy in the Brans-Dicke gravity. We employ the holographic model of dark energy to obtain the equation of state for the holographic energy density in non-flat (closed) universe enclosed by the event horizon measured from the sphere of horizon named $L$. Our analysis shows that one can obtain the phantom crossing scenario if the model parameter $α$ (of order unity) is tuned accordingly. Moreover, this behavior is achieved by treating the Brans-Dicke scalar field as a Chameleon scalar field and taking a non-minimal coupling of the scalar field with matter. Hence one can generate phantom-like equation of state from a holographic dark energy model in non-flat universe in the Brans-Dicke cosmology framework.

In particular, the necessary (but insufficient) conditions for the acceleration and superacceleration of the universe are obtained when the non-minimal coupling term is taken into account. Furthermore, the necessary condition for the cosmic acceleration is derived when the phantom field is non-minimally coupled to gravity and baryonic matter is included.

The purpose of this paper is to find and analyze plane symmetric, static(non static) solutions in Hořava- Lifshitz gravity. We discussed two versions of Horava gravity. We show that in static case there are two family of solvable models which either of them has a well defined EOS, in analogous to the perfect fluid solutions in GR. In non-static case we find a family of solutions. Some physical properties of these solutions was discussed. Secondly we investigated the plane symmetric solutions for a new modified version of Hořavaa gravity \cite{bla}, which has the new terms inserted action in it.

Quantum Gravitational Corrections to the Real Klein-Gordon Field in the Presence of a Minimal Length

The (D+1)-dimensional $(β,β')$-two-parameter Lorentz-covariant deformed algebra introduced by Quesne and Tkachuk [C. Quesne and V. M. Tkachuk, J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. \textbf {39}, 10909 (2006).], leads to a nonzero minimal uncertainty in position (minimal length). The Klein-Gordon equation in a (3+1)-dimensional space-time described by Quesne-Tkachuk Lorentz-covariant deformed algebra is studied in the case where $β'=2β$ up to first order over deformation parameter $β$. It is shown that the modified Klein-Gordon equation which contains fourth-order derivative of the wave function describes two massive particles with different masses. We have shown that physically acceptable mass states can only exist for $β<\frac{1}{8m^{2}c^{2}}$ which leads to an isotropic minimal length in the interval $10^{-17}m<(\bigtriangleup X^{i})_{0}<10^{-15}m$. Finally, we have shown that the above estimation of minimal length is in good agreement with the results obtained in previous investigations.

In fact he found an error in calculation of the entropy of cold dark matter in section 3 of my article, which is, however, a rather trivial one. It is shown that my discussion in section 3 of my paper works correctly if we take the value of free parameter $b^2>0.264$.

Self-gravitational corrections to the Cardy-Verlinde formula of charged BTZ black hole

The entropy of the charged BTZ black hole horizon is described by the Cardy-Verlinde formula. We then compute the self-gravitational corrections to the Cardy-Verlinde formula of the charged BTZ black hole in the context of Keski-Vakkuri, Kraus and Wilczek (KKW) analysis. The self-gravitational corrections to the entropy as given by the Cardy-Verlinde formula are found to be positive. This result provides evidence in support of the claim that the holographic bound is not universal in the framework of two-dimensional gravity models.

Spacing of the entropy spectrum for KS Black hole in Horava-Lifshitz gravity

In this paper we present the spectrum of entropy/area for Kehagias-Sfetsos (KS) black hole in Ho$\check{\textbf{r}}$ava-Lifshitz (HL)gravity via quasi-normal modes (QNM) approach. We show that in the massive case the mass parameter $μ$ disappears in the entropy spectrum and only the quasinormal modes modified by a term which is proportional to the mass square term. Our calculations show that the charge like parameter $\frac{1}{2ω}=Q^{2}$ appears in the surface gravity and our calculations can be applied to any spherically symmetric spacetime which has only one physically acceptable horizon. Our main difference between our calculations and what was done in \cite{1} is that the portion of charge and mass is included explicitly in the surface gravity and consequently in the QNM expression. Since the imaginary part of the QNM is related to the adiabatic invariance of the system and also to the entropy, surprisingly the mass parameter do not appear in the entropy spectrum. Our conclusion supported by some acclaims about that the scalar field parameters (charges) can not change the fundamental parameters in the 4-dimensional black holes.

The generalized second law of thermodynamics in Horava-Lifshitz cosmology

We investigate the validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics in a universe governed by Horava-Lifshitz gravity. Under the equilibrium assumption, that is in the late-time cosmological regime, we calculate separately the entropy time-variation for the matter fluid and, using the modified entropy relation, that of the apparent horizon itself. We find that under detailed balance the generalized second law is generally valid for flat and closed geometry and it is conditionally valid for an open universe, while beyond detailed balance it is only conditionally valid for all curvatures. Furthermore, we also follow the effective approach showing that it can lead to misleading results. The non-complete validity of the generalized second law could either provide a suggestion for its different application, or act as an additional problematic feature of Horava-Lifshitz gravity.

Drag force with different charges in STU background and $AdS$/CFT

In this paper we consider the drag force problem in the STU model. Already this problem and related topics were studied in ${\mathcal N}=4$ SYM theory. Here we study the same problem in ${\mathcal N}=2$ supergravity theory with an R-charge black hole (the STU model). This paper extends our previous work [1,2] by studying more general charge configurations and by taking into account the effect of a constant electromagnetic field and higher derivative corrections. We consider a single quark and a $q \bar q$ pair in a three charge non-extremal black hole background. First by using the AdS/CFT correspondence, we obtain the drag force, the diffusion coefficient, the total energy and momentum, quasinormal modes, and the effect of higher derivative corrections for the single quark. Next we calculate the drag force for a $q \bar q$ pair which rotates around its center of mass. For the first time we study the motion of a rotating $q \bar q$ pair in ${\mathcal N}=2$ supergravity theory. We show that our results in the near-extremal limit agree with the energy loss of the moving quark which was calculated in the ${\mathcal N}=4$ SYM plasma.

It is shown that the time-dependent bulk quintom field induces a time-dependent cosmological constant on the brane. In the framework of the DGP model, the effective Einstein equation is obtained in two different cases: i) where the quintom field is considered as the bulk matter field and the brane is empty and, ii) where the quintom dark energy is confined on the brane and the bulk is empty. We show that in both cases one could obtain a self-inflationary solution at late time in positive branch $ε=1$, and an asymptotically static universe in negative branch $ε=-1$.
