TDGCN-Based Mobile Multiuser Physical-Layer Authentication for EI-Enabled IIoT

Physical-Layer Authentication (PLA) offers endogenous security, lightweight implementation, and high reliability, making it a promising complement to upper-layer security methods in Edge Intelligence (EI)-empowered Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). However, state-of-the-art Channel State Information (CSI)-based PLA schemes face challenges in recognizing mobile multi-users due to the constantly shifting CSI distributions with user movements. To address this issue, we propose a Temporal Dynamic Graph Convolutional Network (TDGCN)-based PLA scheme, which employs Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) to capture the spatio-temporal dynamics induced by user movements. Firstly, we partition CSI fingerprints into multivariate time series and utilize dynamic GNNs to capture their associations. Secondly, Temporal Convolutional Networks (TCNs) handle temporal dependencies within each CSI fingerprint dimension. Additionally, Dynamic Graph Isomorphism Networks (GINs) and cascade node clustering pooling further enable efficient information aggregation and reduced computational complexity. Simulations demonstrate the proposed scheme's superior authentication accuracy compared to seven baseline schemes.

Nonlinear semigroup approach to Hamilton-Jacobi equations -- A toy model

In this paper, we discuss the existence and multiplicity problem of viscosity solution to the Hamilton-Jacobi equation $$h(x,d_x u)+λ(x)u=c,\quad x\in M,$$ where $M$ is a closed manifold and $λ:M\rightarrow\mathbb{R}$ changes signs on $M$, via nonlinear semigroup method. It turns out that a bifurcation phenomenon occurs when parameter $c$ strides over the critical value. As an application of the main result, we analyse the structure of the set of viscosity solutions of an one-dimensional example in detail.

Point-assigned distance-like functions on non-compact geodesic spaces

On a complete, connected, locally compact, non-compact geodesic space $(X,d)$, we assign each compact set a distance-like function. With the help of these functions, we obtain a pseudo-metric on the space of (non-empty) compact subsets of $X$ which is less than the Hausdorff distance. The quotient metric space is closely related to the large scale geometry of the ambient metric space. In particular, we study both extreme cases --the pseudo-metric either vanishes or equals the original distance. The compactness of the level sets as well as stability under the Gromov-Hausdorff topology of such dl-functions are also investigated. As an application, we also give a representation formula of any distance-like function in terms of the singleton-assigned distance-like functions defined here.

Variational attraction of the KAM torus for the conformally symplectic system

For the conformally symplectic system \[ \left\{ \begin{aligned} \dot{q}&=H_p(q,p),\quad(q,p)\in T^*\mathbb{T}^n\\ \dot p&=-H_q(q,p)-λp, \quad λ>0 \end{aligned} \right. \] with a positive definite Hamiltonian, we discuss the variational significance of invariant Lagrangian graphs and explain how the KAM torus impacts the $W^{1,\infty}-$convergence speed of the Lax-Oleinik semigroup.

The vanishing discount problem for monotone systems of Hamilton-Jacobi equations. Part 2: Nonlinear coupling

We study the vanishing discount problem for a nonlinear monotone system of Hamilton-Jacobi equations. This continues the first author's investigation on the vanishing discount problem for a monotone system of Hamilton-Jacobi equations. As in Part 1, we introduce by the convex duality Mather measures and their analogues for the system, which we call respectively Mather and Green-Poisson measures, and prove a convergence theorem for the vanishing discount problem. Moreover, we establish an existence result for the ergodic problem.

Global viscosity solutions for eikonal equations on class A Lorentzian 2-tori

On the Abelian cover $(\mathbb{R}^{2},g)$ of a class A Lorentzian 2-torus $(\mathbb{T}^{2},g)$, we showed the existence of global viscosity solutions to the eikonal equation $$ g(\nabla u,\nabla u)=-1 $$ associated to those homologies in the interior of the homology cone. Some other related dynamical properties are also considered. As an application of the main results, we study the differentiability of the unit sphere of the stable time separation associated to the class A Lorentzian 2-torus.

Proposal of room-temperature diamond maser

Lasers have revolutionized optical science and technology, but their microwave counterpart, maser, has not realized its great potential due to its demanding work conditions (high-vacuum for gas maser and liquid-helium temperature for solid-state maser). Room-temperature solid-state maser is highly desirable, but under such conditions the lifetimes of emitters (usually electron spins) are usually too short (~ns) for population inversion. The only room-temperature solid-state maser is based on a pentacene-doped p-terphenyl crystal, which has long spin lifetime (~0.1 ms). This maser, however, operates only in the pulse mode and the material is unstable. Here we propose room-temperature maser based on nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centres in diamond, which feature long spin lifetimes at room temperature (~10 ms), high optical pump efficiency, and material stability. We demonstrate that under readily accessible conditions, room-temperature diamond maser is feasible. Room-temperature diamond maser may facilitate a broad range of microwave technologies.

Macroscopic quantum superposition of spin ensembles with ultra-long coherence times via superradiant masing

Macroscopic quantum phenomena such as lasers, Bose-Einstein condensates, superfluids, and superconductors are of great importance in foundations and applications of quantum mechanics. In particular, quantum superposition of a large number of spins in solids is highly desirable for both quantum information processing and ultrasensitive magnetometry. Spin ensembles in solids, however, have rather short collective coherence time (typically less than microseconds). Here we demonstrate that under realistic conditions it is possible to maintain macroscopic quantum superposition of a large spin ensemble (such as about ~10^{14} nitrogen-vacancy center electron spins in diamond) with an extremely long coherence time ~10^8 sec under readily accessible conditions. The scheme, following the mechanism of superradiant lasers, is based on superradiant masing due to coherent coupling between collective spin excitations (magnons) and microwave cavity photons. The coherence time of the macroscopic quantum superposition is the sum of the magnon life time and the cavity lifetime, further elongated by the total number of coherent magnons and photons, which have macroscopic values when masing occurs. The macroscopic quantum coherence of spin ensembles can be exploited for magnetometry with sensitivity ~10 fT/(Hz)^{1/2}. The long-living collective states of spin ensembles in solids will provide a new platform for studying macroscopic quantum phenomena and are useful for quantum technologies.
