Exponential Decay Estimates for Fundamental Matrices of Generalized Schrödinger Systems

In this article, we investigate systems of generalized Schrödinger operators and their fundamental matrices. More specifically, we establish the existence of such fundamental matrices and then prove sharp upper and lower exponential decay estimates for them. The Schrödinger operators that we consider have leading coefficients that are bounded and uniformly elliptic, while the zeroth-order terms are assumed to be nondegenerate and belong to a reverse Hölder class of matrices. In particular, our operators need not be self-adjoint. The exponential bounds are governed by the so-called upper and lower Agmon distances associated to the reverse Hölder matrix that serves as the potential function. Furthermore, we thoroughly discuss the relationship between this new reverse Hölder class of matrices, the more classical matrix $\mathcal{A}_{p,\infty}$ class, and the matrix $\mathcal{A}_{\infty}$ class introduced in [Dall15].

Two Matrix Weighted Inequalities for Commutators with Fractional Integral Operators

In this paper we prove two matrix weighted norm inequalities for the commutator of a fractional integral operator and multiplication by a matrix symbol. More precisely, we extend the recent results of the second author, Pott, and Treil on two matrix weighted norm inequalities for commutators of Calderon-Zygmund operators and multiplication by a matrix symbol to the fractional integral operator setting. In particular, we completely extend the fractional Bloom theory of Holmes, Rahm, and Spencer to the two matrix weighted setting with a matrix

Commutators in the two scalar and matrix weighted setting

In this paper we approach the two weighted boundedness of commutators via matrix weights. This approach provides both a sufficient and a necessary condition for the two weighted boundedness of commutators with an arbitrary linear operator in terms of one matrix weighted norm inequalities for this operator. Furthermore, using this approach, we surprisingly provide conditions that almost characterize the two matrix weighted boundedness of commutators with CZOs and completely arbitrary matrix weights, which is even new in the fully scalar one weighted setting. Finally, our method allows us to extend the two weighted Holmes/Lacey/Wick results to the fully matrix setting (two matrix weights and a matrix symbol), completing a line of research initiated by the first two authors.

Compactness and essential norm properties of operators on generalized Fock spaces

The purpose of this paper is to systematically study compactness and essential norm properties of operators on a very general class of weighted Fock spaces over $\C$. In particular, we obtain rather strong necessary and sufficient conditions for a wide class of operators (which includes operators in the Toeplitz algebra generated by bounded symbols) to be compact and we obtain related estimates on the essential norm of such operators. Finally, we discuss interesting open problems related to our results, and in particular discuss the possibility of extending our results to other generally weighted Bergman spaces on the unit ball of $\C$.

Invertible Toeplitz products, weighted norm inequalities, and A${}_p$ weights

In this paper, we characterize invertible Toeplitz products on a number of Banach spaces of analytic functions, including weighted Bergman space $L^p_a (\mathbb{B}_n, dv_γ)$, the Hardy space $H^p(\partial \mathbb{D})$, and the weighted Fock space F${}_α^p$ for $p > 1$. The common tool in the proofs of our characterizations will be the theory of weighted norm inequalities and A${}_p$ type weights. Moreover, we analyze and compare the various A${}_p$ type conditions that arise in our characterizations. Finally, we extend the "reverse Hölder inequality" of Zheng and Stroethoff \cite{SZ1, SZ2} for $p = 2$ to the general case of $p > 1$.

Localization and Compactness in Bergman and Fock spaces

In this paper we study the compactness of operators on the Bergman space of the unit ball and on very generally weighted Bargmann-Fock spaces in terms of the behavior of their Berezin transforms and the norms of the operators acting on reproducing kernels. In particular, in the Bergman space setting we show how a vanishing Berezin transform combined with certain (integral) growth conditions on an operator $T$ are sufficient to imply that the operator is compact. In the weighted Bargmann-Fock space setting we show that the reproducing kernel thesis for compactness holds for operators satisfying similar growth conditions. The main results extend the results of Xia and Zheng to the case of the Bergman space when $1 < p < \infty$, and in the weighted Bargmann-Fock space setting, our results provide new, more general conditions that imply the work of Xia and Zheng via a more familiar approach that can also handle the $1 < p < \infty$ case.

Compactness of operators on generalized Fock spaces

For a very general class of weighted Fock spaces on $\mathbb{C}^n$, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for a Toeplitz operator with a (not necessarily positive) measure symbol to be compact. Furthermore, we show that all compact operators are in the norm closure of the algebra generated by Toeplitz operators with $C_c ^\infty(\mathbb{C}^n)$ symbols, and in the Hilbert space setting show that all compact operators are in the norm closure of the set of such Toeplitz operators.

Compactness characterization of operators in the Toeplitz algebra of the Fock space $F_α^p$

For $1 < p < \infty$ let $\mathcal{T}_p ^α$ be the norm closure of the algebra generated by Toeplitz operators with bounded symbols acting on the standard weighted Fock space $F_α^p$. In this paper, we will show that an operator $A$ is compact on $F_α^p$ if and only if $A \in \mathcal{T}_p ^α$ and the Berezin transform $B_α(A)$ of $A$ vanishes at infinity.

Schatten $p$ class commutators on the weighted Bergman space $L^2_a (\mathbb{B}_n, dv_γ)$ for $\frac{2n}{n + 1 + γ} < p < \infty$

Let $P_γ$ be the orthogonal projection from the space $L ^2 (\mathbb{B}_n, dv_γ)$ to the standard weighted Bergman space $L_a ^2 (\mathbb{B}_n, dv_γ)$. In this paper, we characterize the Schatten $p$ class membership of the commutator $[M_f, P_γ]$ when $\frac{2n}{n + 1 + γ} < p < \infty$. In particular, if $\frac{2n}{n + 1 + γ} < p < \infty$, then we show that $[M_f, P_γ]$ is in the Schatten $p$ class if and only if the mean oscillation MO${}_γ(f)$ is in $ L^p(\mathbb{B}_n, dζ)$ where $dζ$ is the Möbius invariant measure on $\mathbb{B}_n.$ This answers a question recently raised by K. Zhu.
