Quantitative K-theory and the K{ü}nneth formula for operator algebras

In this paper, we apply quantitative operator K-theory to develop an algorithm for computing K-theory for the class of filtered C *-algebras with asymptotic finite nuclear decomposition. As a consequence, we prove the K{ü}nneth formula for C *-algebras in this class. Our main technical tool is a quantitative Mayer-Vietoris sequence for K-theory of filtered C *-algebras.

On a quantitative operator K-theory

In this paper, we develop a quantitative K-theory for filtered C*-algebras. Particularly interesting examples of filtered C*-algebras include group C*-algebras, crossed product C*-algebras and Roe algebras. We prove a quantitative version of the six term exact sequence and a quantitative Bott periodicity. We apply the quantitative K-theory to formulate a quantitative version of the Baum-Connes conjecture and prove that the quantitative Baum-Connes conjecture holds for a large class of groups.

C*-algebras of Penrose's hyperbolic tilings

Penrose hyperbolic tilings are tilings of the hyperbolic plane which admit, up to affine transformations a finite number of prototiles. In this paper, we give a complete description of the C*-algebras and of the K-theory for such tilings. Since the continuous hull of these tilings have no transversally invariant measure, these C*-algebras are traceless. Nevertheless, harmonic currents give rise to 3-cyclic cocycles and we discuss in this setting a higher-order version of the gap-labelling.
