O(αs)O(α_s) corrections to J/ψ+χcJJ/ψ+χ_{cJ} production at BB factories

We investigate the O(αs){\cal O}(α_s) corrections to e+e−→J/ψ(ψ′)+χcJe^+e^-\to J/ψ(ψ')+χ_{cJ} (J=0,1,2J=0,1,2) in the NRQCD factorization approach. These next-to-leading order (NLO) corrections are calculated at the level of helicity amplitude. We have made a detailed analysis for both polarized and unpolarized cross sections, and compared our predictions with the measurements at the BB factories. We also derive the asymptotic expressions for each of the NLO helicity amplitudes, and confirm the earlier speculation that at NLO in αsα_s, the double logarithm of type ln⁡2(s/mc2)\ln^2 (s/m_c^2) appearing in the NRQCD short-distance coefficient is always associated with the helicity-suppressed channels.

Lepton number violation in D meson decay

The lepton number violating process can be induced by introducing a fourth generation heavy Majorana neutrino, which is coupled to the charged leptons of Standard Model. There have been many previous studies on the leptonic number violating decay processes with this mechanism, we follow the trend to study the process: D→KℓℓπD \to K \ell \ell π with the same-sign dilepton final states. We restrict ourself to certain neutrino mass regions, in which the heavy neutrino could be on shell and the dominant contribution to the branching fraction comes from the resonance enhanced effect. Applying the Narrow Width Approximation, we found that upper limit for the branching fractions for D0→K−ℓ+ℓ+π−D^0 \to K^-\ell^+\ell^+π^- are generally at the order of 10−1010^{-10} to 10−910^{-9}, if we take the most stringent upper limit bound currently available in the literature for the mixing matrix elements. We also provide the constrains, which is competitive compared to the LNV B decays, on the mixing matrix element ∣VeN∣2|V_{eN}|^2 based on the upper limit of D0→K−e+e+π−D^0 \to K^- e^+ e^+ π^- estimated from Monte-Carlo study at BESIII.

Some recent progress in understanding exclusive double charmonium production at BB factories

We review some recent progress in understanding various exclusive double charmonium production processes at BB factories, within the nonrelativistic QCD factorization framework. First we investigate the impact of the joint perturbative and relativistic correction on the process that has attracted a great amount of attention in the past decade, e+e−→J/ψ+ηce^+e^-\to J/ψ+η_c. We then briefly discuss the phenomenological implication of the next-to-leading order perturbative correction to the processes e+e−→J/ψ+χc0,1,2(ηc2)e^+e^-\to J/ψ+χ_{c0,1,2} (η_{c2}). We further emphasize a novel theoretical challenge, which is recently discovered by applying the NRQCD factorization approach to the helicity-suppressed hard exclusive reactions involving heavy quarkonium.

O(αsv2)O(α_s v^2) correction to e+e−→J/ψ+ηce^+e^-\to J/ψ+η_c at BB factories

We investigate the O(αsv2){\mathcal O}(α_s v^2) correction to the e+e−→J/ψ+ηce^+e^-\to J/ψ+η_c process in the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization approach. Within some reasonable choices of the relative order-v2v^2 NRQCD matrix elements, we find that including this new ingredient of correction only mildly enhances the existing NRQCD predictions. We have also deduced the asymptotic expressions for the O(αsv2){\mathcal O}(α_s v^2) short-distance coefficients, and reconfirm the early speculation that at next-to-leading order in αsα_s, the double logarithm of type ln⁡2(s/mc2)\ln^2 (s/m_c^2) appearing in various NRQCD short-distance coefficients is always associated with the helicity-suppressed channels.

Exclusive decay of ΥΥ into J/ψ+χc0,1,2J/ψ+χ_{c0,1,2}

We study the ΥΥ exclusive decay into double charmonium, specifically, the SS-wave charmonium J/ψ J/ψ plus the PP-wave charmonium χc0,1,2χ_{c0,1,2} in the NRQCD factorization framework. Three distinct decay mechanisms, i.e., the strong, electromagnetic and radiative decay channels are included and their interference effects are investigated. The decay processes Υ(1S,2S,3S)→J/ψ+χc1,0Υ(1S,2S,3S)\to J/ψ+χ_{c1,0} are predicted to have the branching fractions of order 10−610^{-6}, which should be observed in the prospective Super BB factory.
