Minimal A∞{A}_{\infty}-algebras of endomorphisms: The case of dZd\mathbb{Z}-cluster tilting objects

The Derived Auslander--Iyama Corresponence, a recent result of the authors, provides a classification up to quasi-isomorphism of the derived endomorphism algebras of basic dZd\mathbb{Z}-cluster tilting objects in Hom⁡\operatorname{Hom}-finite algebraic triangulated categories in terms of a small amount of algebraic data. In this note we highlight the role of minimal A∞A_\infty-algebra structures in the proof of this result, as well as the crucial role of the enhanced A∞A_\infty-obstruction theory developed by the second-named author.

The symplectic geometry of higher Auslander algebras: Symmetric products of disks

We show that the perfect derived categories of Iyama's dd-dimensional Auslander algebras of type A\mathbb{A} are equivalent to the partially wrapped Fukaya categories of the dd-fold symmetric product of the 22-dimensional unit disk with finitely many stops on its boundary. Furthermore, we observe that Koszul duality provides an equivalence between the partially wrapped Fukaya categories associated to the dd-fold symmetric product of the disk and those of its (n−d)(n-d)-fold symmetric product; this observation leads to a symplectic proof of a theorem of Beckert concerning the derived Morita equivalence between the corresponding higher Auslander algebras of type A\mathbb{A}. As a byproduct of our results, we deduce that the partially wrapped Fukaya categories associated to the dd-fold symmetric product of the disk organise into a paracyclic object equivalent to the dd-dimensional Waldhausen S⁡\operatorname{S}-construction, a simplicial space whose geometric realisation provides the dd-fold delooping of the connective algebraic KK-theory space of the ring of coefficients.

The naive approach for constructing the derived category of a dd-abelian category fails

Let kk be a field. In this short note we give an example of a 22-abelian kk-category, realized as a 22-cluster-tilting subcategory of the category mod⁡ A\operatorname{mod}\,A of finite dimensional (right) AA-modules over a finite dimensional kk-algebra AA, for which the naive idea for constructing its "bounded derived category" as 22-cluster-tilting subcategory of the bounded derived category of mod⁡ A\operatorname{mod}\,A cannot work.
