Novel coupled channel framework connecting quark model and lattice QCD: an investigation on near-threshold $D_s$ states

A novel framework is proposed to extract near-threshold resonant states from finite-volume energy levels of lattice QCD and is applied to elucidate structures of the positive parity $D_s$. The quark model, the quark-pair-creation mechanism and $D^{(*)}K$ interaction are incorporated into the Hamiltonian effective field theory. The bare $1^+$ $c\bar s$ states are almost purely given by the states with heavy-quark spin bases. The physical $D^*_{s0}(2317)$ and $D^*_{s1}(2460)$ are the mixtures of bare $c\bar s$ core and $D^{(*)}K$ component, while the $D^*_{s1}(2536)$ and $D^*_{s2}(2573)$ are almost dominated by bare $c\bar{s}$. Furthermore, our model reproduces the clear level crossing of the $D^*_{s1}(2536)$ with the scattering state at a finite volume.

The investigations of the $P$-wave $B_s$ states combining quark model and lattice QCD in the coupled channel framework

Combining the quark model, the quark-pair-creation mechanism and $B^{(*)}\bar K$ interaction, we have investigated the near-threshold $P$-wave $B_s$ states in the framework of the Hamiltonian effective field theory. With the heavy quark flavor symmetry, all the parameters are determined in the $D_s$ sector by fitting the lattice data. The masses of the bottom-strange partners of the $D^{*}_{s0}(2317)$ and $D^{*}_{s1}(2460)$ are predicted to be $M_{B^{*}_{s0}}=5730.2_{-1.5}^{+2.4}$ MeV and $M_{B^{*}_{s1}}= 5769.6_{-1.6}^{+2.4}$ MeV, respectively, which are well consistent with the lattice QCD simulation. The two $P$-wave $B_s$ states are the mixtures of the bare $\bar b s$ core and $B^{(*)}\bar K$ component. Moreover, we find a crossing point between the energy levels with and without the interaction Hamiltonian in the finite volume spectrum in the $0^+$ case, which corresponds to a CDD (Castillejo-Dalitz-Dyson) zero in the $T$-matrix of the $B\bar K$ scattering. This CDD zero will help deepen the insights of the near-threshold states and can be examined by future lattice calculation.

Probing hidden-charm decay properties of $P_c$ states in a molecular scenario

The $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$, and $P_c(4457)$ observed by the LHCb Collaboration are very likely to be $S$-wave $Σ_c\bar{D}^{(*)}$ molecular candidates due to their near-threshold character. In this work, we study the hidden-charm decay modes of these $P_c$ states, $P_c\to J/ψp(η_cp)$, using a quark interchange model. The decay mechanism for the $P_c\to J/ψp(η_cp)$ processes arises from the quark-quark interactions, where all parameters are determined by the mass spectra of mesons. We present our results in two scenarios. In scenario I, we perform the dynamical calculations and treat the $P_c$ states as pure $Σ_c \bar D^{(*)}$ molecules. In scenario II, after considering the coupled channel effect between different flavor configurations $Σ^{(*)}_c\bar D^{(*)}$, we calculate these partial decay widths again. The decay patterns in these two scenarios can help us to explore the molecular assignment and the inner flavor configurations for the $P_c$ states. In particular, the decay widths of $Γ(P_c(4312)\toη_cp)$ are comparable to the $J/ψp$ decay widths in both of these two scenarios. Future experiments like LHCb may confirm the existence of the $P_c(4312)$ in the $η_cp$ channel.

The hidden-charm strong decays of the $Z_c$ states

Inspired by BESIII's measurement of the decay $Z_c(3900)^{\pm}\rightarrow ρ^{\pm}η_c$, we calculate the branching fraction ratio between the $ρη_c$ and $πJ/ψ$ decay modes for the charged states $Z_c(3900)$, $Z_c(4020)$ and $Z_c(4430)$ using a quark interchange model. Our results show that (i) the ratio $R_{Z_c(3900)}=\frac{\mathcal{B}(Z_c(3900)^{\pm}\rightarrow ρ^{\pm}η_c)}{\mathcal{B}(Z_c(3900)^{\pm}\rightarrow π^{\pm}J/ψ)}$ is 1.3 and 1.6 in the molecular and tetraquark scenarios respectively, which is roughly consistent with the experimental data $R^{\mathrm{exp}}=2.2\pm0.9$. (ii) The ratios $\frac{Γ[Z_c(3900)\rightarrow ρη_c]}{Γ[Z_c(4020)\rightarrow ρη_c]}$ and $\frac{Γ[Z_c(3900)\rightarrow πJ/ψ]}{Γ[Z_c(4020)\rightarrow πJ/ψ]}$ are about 12.5 and 24.2, respectively in the molecular scenario. In contrast, these ratios are about 1.2 in the tetraquark scenario. The non-observation of the $Z_c(4020)$ signal in the $πJ/ψ$ decay mode strongly indicates that $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_c(4020)$ are molecule-like signals which arise from the $D^{(*)}{\bar D}^{(*)}$ hadronic interactions.

The axial charges of the hidden-charm pentaquark states

With the chiral quark model, we have calculated the axial charges of the pentaquark states with $(I,I_3)=(\frac{1}{2},\frac{1}{2})$ and $J^{P}=\frac{1}{2}^{\pm},\frac{3}{2}^{\pm},\frac{5}{2}^{\pm}$. The $P_c$ states with the same $J^P$ quantum numbers but different color-spin-flavor configurations have very different axial charges, which encode important information on their underlying structures. For some of the $J^{P}=\frac{3}{2}^{\pm}$ or $\frac{5}{2}^{\pm}$ pentaquark states, their axial charges are much smaller than that of the proton.

Magnetic moments of the hidden-charm pentaquark states

The magnetic moment of a baryon state is an equally important dynamical observable as its mass, which encodes crucial information of its underlying structure. According to the different color-flavor structure, we have calculated the magnetic moments of the hidden-charm pentaquark states with $J^P={\frac{1}{2}}^{\pm}$, ${\frac{3}{2}}^{\pm}$, ${\frac{5}{2}}^{\pm}$ and ${\frac{7}{2}}^{+}$ in the molecular model, the diquark-triquark model and the diquark-diquark-antiquark model respectively. Although a good description for the pentaquark mass spectrum and decay patterns has been obtained in all the three models, different color-flavor structures lead to different magnetic moments, which can be used to pin down their inner structures and distinguish various models.

Strong decay patterns of the hidden-charm pentaquark states $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$

With the heavy quark symmetry and spin rearrangement scheme, we study the strong decay behavior of the hidden-charm pentaquark states with $J^P={\frac{3}{2}}^{\pm}, {\frac{5}{2}}^{\pm}$ assuming they are molecular candidates composed of ${\bar D}^{(\ast)}$ and $Σ_c^{(\ast)}$. We obtain several typical ratios of the partial decay widths of the hidden-charm pentaquarks. For the three S-wave $(\bar{D}Σ_c^*)$, $(\bar{D}^*Σ_c)$ and $(\bar{D}^*Σ_c^*)$ molecular pentaquarks with $J^P={{3}/{2}}^{-}$, we have obtained the ratio of their $J/ψN$ decay widths: $Γ\left[(\bar D{Σ^{\ast}_c})\right]:Γ\left[({\bar D}^{\ast}Σ_c)\right]:Γ\left[({\bar D}^{\ast}{Σ^{\ast}_c})\right]=2.7:1.0:5.4$, which may be useful to further test the possible molecular assignment of the $P_c$ states.
