$T^+_{cc}$ and its partners

Inspired by the $T^+_{cc}$ signal discovered by the LHCb Collaboration, we systematically investigate the doubly heavy tetraquark states with the molecule configuration $[Q_1\bar{q}_2][Q_3\bar{q}_4]$ ($Q=c$ and $b$, $q=u$, $d$ and $s$) in a nonrelativistic quark model. The model involves a color screening confinement potential, meson-exchange interactions and one-gluon-exchange interactions. The $T^+_{cc}$ state with $IJ^P=01^+$ is a very loosely bound deuteron-like state with a binding energy around 0.34 MeV and a huge size of 4.32 fm. Both the meson exchange force and the coupled channel effect play a pivotal role. Without the meson exchange force, there does not exist the $T^+_{cc}$ molecular state. In strong contrast, the QCD valence bond forms clearly in the $T^+_{bb}$ system when we turn off the meson-exchange force, which is very similar to the hydrogen molecule in QED. Moreover, the $T^+_{bb}$ becomes a helium-like QCD-atom if we increase the bottom quark mass by a factor of three. Especially, the $T^+_{bb}$ states with $01^+$, $T^+_{bc}$ with $00^+$ and $01^+$ and the $V$-spin antisymmetric states $T^+_{bbs}$ with $\frac{1}{2}1^+$, $T^+_{bcs}$ with $\frac{1}{2}0^+$ and $\frac{1}{2}1^+$ can form a compact, hydrogen molecule-like or deuteron-like bound state with different binding dynamics. The high-spin states $T^+_{bc}$ with $02^+$ and $T^+_{bcs}$ with $\frac{1}{2}2^+$ can decay into $D$-wave $\bar{B}D$ and $\bar{B}_sD$ although they are below the thresholds $\bar{B}^*D^*$ and $\bar{B}^*_sD^*$, respectively. The isospin and $V$-spin symmetric states are unbound. We also calculate their magnetic moments and axial charges.

$Σ_cΣ_c$ interactions in chiral effective field theory

We study the interactions of the $Σ_cΣ_c$ system in the framework of chiral effective theory. We consider the contact, one-pion and two-pion exchange interactions and bridge the low energy constants of the $Σ_cΣ_c$ system to those of the $Σ_c^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ systems through the quark-level ansatz for the contact interaction. We explore the influence of intermediate channels in the two-pion exchange diagrams of the $Σ_cΣ_c$ system. We obtain a deep bound state $[Σ_cΣ_c]_{J=0}^{I=0}$ and a shallow bound state $[Σ_cΣ_c]_{J=1}^{I=1}$. As a byproduct, we further investigate the interactions of the $Λ_cΛ_c$ and $Λ_cΣ_c$ systems.

Double-charm tetraquark under the complex scaling method

The LHCb Collaboration discovered a double-charm tetraquark $T_{cc}^{+}$ with a very small width. We investigate the $T_{cc}^{+}$ as a $DD^{*}$ molecule with $J^{P}=1^{+}$ in the framework of the one-boson-exchange potential model. The isospin breaking effect and $S-D$ wave coupling are taken into account carefully. We adopt the complex scaling method (CSM) to study the $DD^{*}$ system and obtain a quasibound state corresponding to the $T_{cc}^{+}$. Its binding energy relative to the $D^{0}D^{*+}$ and width are $-354$ keV and $61$ keV respectively. The isospin breaking effect is found to be enormous, and the $S-$wave $D^{0}D^{*+}$ and $D^{+}D^{*0}$ components give dominant contributions with the probabilities of $72.1\%$ and $27.1\%$ respectively. In addition, we do not find any resonances in the $DD^{*}$ system. As a by-product, we study the $X(3872)$ as a $(D\bar{D}^*-D^*\bar{D})/\sqrt{2}$ molecule with $J^{PC}=1^{++}$. We also find a quasibound state corresponding to the $X(3872)$. Its binding energy relative to the $D^{0}\bar{D}^{*0}$ threshold and width are $-111$ keV and $26$ keV respectively. The $S-$wave $(D^{0}\bar{D}^{*0}-D^{*0}\bar{D}^{0})/\sqrt{2}$ component dominates this state with the probability of $92.7\%$.

How to understand the $X(2900)$?

In this work, the $S$- and $P$-wave $\bar{D}^\ast K^\ast$ interactions are studied in a coupled-channel formalism to understand the recently observed $X_0(2900)$ and $X_1(2900)$ at LHCb. The experimental event distributions can be well described, and two states with $I(J^P)=0(0^+)$ and $0(1^-)$ are yielded in an unified framework. The masses of the $0^+$ and $1^-$ states are consistent with the experimental data, but the width of the $0^+$ state is larger than that of the $1^-$ one. The $X_1(2900)$ can be interpreted as the $P$-wave excitation of the ground-state $X_0(2900)$ in the hadronic molecular picture. The $S$- and $P$-wave multiplets in the $\bar{D}^\ast K^\ast$ system have many members, so the present peak in the $D^-K^+$ invariant mass distributions might contain multi subpeaks. In order to probe the fine structures behind the single whole peak now, more refined measurements in the $B^+\to D^+D^-K^+$ decay channel are necessary.

Light pseudoscalar meson and heavy meson scattering lengths to $\mathcal{O}(p^4)$ in heavy meson chiral perturbation theory

We calculate the threshold $T$ matrices of the light pseudoscalar meson and heavy meson scattering to fourth order in heavy meson chiral perturbation theory. We determine the low-energy constants by fitting to the lattice QCD data points through both the perturbative and iterated methods and obtain the physical scattering lengths in both formalisms. The values of the scattering lengths tend to be convergent at fourth order for most of the channels in the perturbative method. The value of the scattering length for the channel $DK (I=0)$, which involves the bound state $D_{s0}^{*}(2317)$, is obtained correctly in the iterated method. Based on the heavy diquark-antiquark symmetry, we also estimate the meson and doubly charmed (bottom) baryon scattering lengths, and find that the bound states can be generated with high probability in the channels $\bar{K}Ξ_{cc}(I=0)$ and $\bar{K}Ξ_{bb}(I=0)$. We strongly urge the LHCb Collaboration to look for the very narrow $\bar{K}Ξ_{cc}$ state with $IJ^P=0{1\over 2}^-$ through either the electromagnetic decay or the iso-spin violating strong decay $Ω_{cc} π$.

New hadron configuration: The double-gluon hybrid state

This is the first study on the double-gluon hybrid, which consists of one valence quark and one valence antiquark together with two valence gluons. We concentrate on the one with the exotic quantum number $J^{PC} = 2^{+-}$ that conventional $\bar q q$ mesons can not reach. We apply QCD sum rule method to evaluate its mass to be $2.26^{+0.20}_{-0.25}$ GeV, and study its possible decay patterns. Especially, its three-meson decay patterns are generally not suppressed severely compared to two-meson decay patterns, so the $S$-wave three-meson decay channels $f_1ωπ/f_1ρπ$ can be useful in identifying its nature, which is of particular importance to the direct test of QCD in the low energy sector.

Newly observed $a_0(1817)$ as the scaling point of constructing the scalar meson spectroscopy

Stimulated by the newly observed $a_0(1817)$ by the BESIII Collaboration, we find a perfect Regge trajectory composed of the $a_0(980)$, $a_0(1450)$, and $a_0(1817)$, which leads us to categorize the $a_0(980)$, $a_0(1450)$, and $a_0(1817)$ into the isovector scalar meson family. This scenario is supported by their two-body Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka allowed strong decay behaviors. In this scheme, we also predict the third radial excitation of the $a_0(980)$, which is denoted as the $a_0(2115)$, accessible at future experiment as a direct test of this assignment. We find another Regge trajectory which contains three isoscalar scalar states $f_0(980)$, $X(1812)$, and $f_0(2100)$. We investigate their two-body Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka allowed strong decay patterns, which are roughly consistent with the experimental data. The $f_0(980)$, $X(1812)$, and $f_0(2100)$ can be well grouped into the isoscalar scalar meson family. We want to emphasize that these two Regge trajectories have a similar slope. In summary, the present work provides a scheme of constructing the scalar meson family based on these reported scalar states. The possibility of the $f_0(1710)$ as the candidate of the scalar glueball cannot be excluded by the observation of the $a_0(1817)$ since the $a_0(1817)$ is more suitable as the isovector partner of the $X(1812)$.

Novel coupled channel framework connecting quark model and lattice QCD: an investigation on near-threshold $D_s$ states

A novel framework is proposed to extract near-threshold resonant states from finite-volume energy levels of lattice QCD and is applied to elucidate structures of the positive parity $D_s$. The quark model, the quark-pair-creation mechanism and $D^{(*)}K$ interaction are incorporated into the Hamiltonian effective field theory. The bare $1^+$ $c\bar s$ states are almost purely given by the states with heavy-quark spin bases. The physical $D^*_{s0}(2317)$ and $D^*_{s1}(2460)$ are the mixtures of bare $c\bar s$ core and $D^{(*)}K$ component, while the $D^*_{s1}(2536)$ and $D^*_{s2}(2573)$ are almost dominated by bare $c\bar{s}$. Furthermore, our model reproduces the clear level crossing of the $D^*_{s1}(2536)$ with the scattering state at a finite volume.

QCD axial anomaly enhances the $ηη^\prime$ decay of the hybrid candidate $η_1(1855)$

We study the hybrid mesons with the exotic quantum number $I^GJ^{PC} = 0^+1^{-+}$ and investigate their decays into the $ηη^\prime$, $a_1(1260) π$, $f_1(1285) η$, $f_1(1420) η$, $K^*(892) \bar K$, $K_1(1270) \bar K$, and $K_1(1400) \bar K$ channels. We find that the QCD axial anomaly enhances the decay width of the $ηη^\prime$ channel although this mode is strongly suppressed by the small $P$-wave phase space. Our results support the interpretation of the $η_1(1855)$ recently observed by BESIII as the $\bar s s g$ hybrid meson of $I^GJ^{PC}=0^+1^{-+}$. The QCD axial anomaly ensures the $ηη^\prime$ decay mode to be a characteristic signal of the hybrid nature of the $η_1(1855)$.

The double thresholds distort the lineshapes of the $P_{ψs}^Λ(4338)^0$ resonance

Very recently, the LHCb Collaboration reported the first observation of the hidden charm pentaquark with strangeness, $P_{ψs}^Λ(4338)^0$. Considering this state is very close to the $Ξ_c^0\bar{D}^0$ and $Ξ_c^+D^-$ thresholds, we explore the possible bias of the Breit-Wigner parameterization, with emphasis on the effect of its coupling to the double thresholds $Ξ_c^0\bar{D}^0$ and $Ξ_c^+D^-$. We first use a qualitative picture based on the ``uniformization" of the Riemann surface of the two-channel system to understand the positions of the enhancement. Then we use the Lippmann-Schwinger equation (LSE) formalism (equivalent to the $K$-matrix parameterization) with two models, the zero-range model and Flatté model to investigate the $J/ψΛ$ lineshapes. Our results show that the nominal peak of the $P_{ψs}^Λ(4338)^0$ could arise either from the pole well above the $Ξ_c^+ D^-$ threshold on the $(-,+)$ sheet or from the pole well below the $Ξ_c^0 \bar{D}^0$ threshold on the $(-,-)$ sheet in the two-channel system. Using the Breit-Wigner distribution to depict the above two lineshapes could be misleading. We also find a novel type of lineshapes with the enhancement constrained by the threshold difference. We urge the LHCb collaboration to perform the refined experimental analysis considering the unitarity and analyticity, e.g. using the K-matrix parameterization. As a by-product, we obtain that the ratio of the isospin violating decay ${Γ_{P_{ψs}^Λ\to J/ψΣ}}/{Γ_{P_{ψs}^Λ\to J/ψΛ}}$ could be up to $10\%$.

The investigations of the $P$-wave $B_s$ states combining quark model and lattice QCD in the coupled channel framework

Combining the quark model, the quark-pair-creation mechanism and $B^{(*)}\bar K$ interaction, we have investigated the near-threshold $P$-wave $B_s$ states in the framework of the Hamiltonian effective field theory. With the heavy quark flavor symmetry, all the parameters are determined in the $D_s$ sector by fitting the lattice data. The masses of the bottom-strange partners of the $D^{*}_{s0}(2317)$ and $D^{*}_{s1}(2460)$ are predicted to be $M_{B^{*}_{s0}}=5730.2_{-1.5}^{+2.4}$ MeV and $M_{B^{*}_{s1}}= 5769.6_{-1.6}^{+2.4}$ MeV, respectively, which are well consistent with the lattice QCD simulation. The two $P$-wave $B_s$ states are the mixtures of the bare $\bar b s$ core and $B^{(*)}\bar K$ component. Moreover, we find a crossing point between the energy levels with and without the interaction Hamiltonian in the finite volume spectrum in the $0^+$ case, which corresponds to a CDD (Castillejo-Dalitz-Dyson) zero in the $T$-matrix of the $B\bar K$ scattering. This CDD zero will help deepen the insights of the near-threshold states and can be examined by future lattice calculation.

Triply heavy tetraquark states

In the framework of an extended chromomagnetic model, we systematically study the mass spectrum of the $S$-wave $qQ\bar{Q}\bar{Q}$ tetraquarks. Their mass spectra are mainly determined by the color interaction. For the $qc\bar{c}\bar{c}$, $qb\bar{c}\bar{c}$ and $qb\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquarks, the color interaction favors the color-sextet $\ket{(qQ)^{6_{c}}(\bar{Q}\bar{Q})^{\bar{6}_{c}}}$ configuration over the color-triplet $\ket{(qQ)^{\bar{3}_{c}}(\bar{Q}\bar{Q})^{3_{c}}}$ one. But for the $qc\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquarks, the color-triplet configuration is favored. We find no stable states which lie below the thresholds of two pseudoscalar mesons. The lowest axial-vector states with the $qQ\bar{b}\bar{b}$ flavor configuration may be narrow. They lie just above the thresholds of two pseudoscalar mesons, but cannot decay into these channels because of the conservation of the angular momentum and parity.

Doubly heavy tetraquarks in an extended chromomagnetic model

Using an extended chromomagnetic model, we perform a systematic study of the masses of the doubly heavy tetraquarks. We find that the ground states of the doubly heavy tetraquarks are dominated by color-triplet $\ket{(qq)^{\bar{3}_{c}}(\bar{Q}\bar{Q})^{3_{c}}}$ configuration, which is opposite to that of the fully heavy tetraquarks. The combined results suggest that the color-triplet configuration becomes more important when the mass difference between the quarks and antiquarks increases. We find three stable states which lie below the thresholds of two pseudoscalar mesons. They are the $IJ^{P}=01^{+}$ $nn\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark, the $IJ^{P}=00^{+}$ $nn\bar{c}\bar{b}$ tetraquark and the $J^{P}=1^{+}$ $ns\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark.

Heavy flavor molecular states with strangeness

We proposed a unified framework to describe the interactions of the observed $T_{cc}$, $P_c$, and $P_{cs}$ within a quark level interaction in our previous work. In this work, we generalize our framework to the loosely bound hadronic molecules composed of heavy flavor di-hadrons with strangeness. We predict the possible $D^{(*)}D^{(*)}_s$ molecular states in the SU(3) limit with the masses of the $P_c$ states as the inputs. We also investigate the baryon-meson and baryon-baryon systems and consider the SU(3) breaking effect in their flavor wave functions. We generalize our isospin criterion of the formation of heavy flavor di-hadron molecules to the $U/V$ spin case. For a specific heavy flavor meson-meson, baryon-meson, or baryon-baryon system, the interactions for the states with the same flavor and spin matrix elements can be related by a generalized flavor-spin symmetry.

Peripheral nucleon-nucleon scattering at next-to-next-to-leading order in SU(3) heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory

We calculate the complete $T$ matrices of the elastic nucleon-nucleon scattering up to third order in SU(3) heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. The phase shifts with orbital angular momentum $L\geq 2$ and the mixing angles with $J\geq 2$ are evaluated by using low-energy constants that were extracted from the meson-baryon analysis. It turns out that our prediction is consistent with the empirical phase shifts and mixing angles data, and also the results from SU(2) heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. The errors from the low-energy constants are analyzed in detail. Our calculation provides reliable evidence that the nucleon-nucleon interaction calculated in SU(3) heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory leads to reasonable predictions.

Predicting another doubly charmed molecular resonance $T_{cc}^{\prime+}(3876)$

The isospin breaking effect plays an essential role in generating hadronic molecular states with a very tiny binding energy. Very recently, the LHCb Collaboration observed a very narrow doubly charmed tetraquark $T_{cc}^+$ in the $D^0D^0π$ mass spectrum, which lies just below the $D^0D^{*+}$ threshold around 273 keV. In this work, we study the $D^0D^{*+}/D^+D^{*0}$ interactions with the one-boson-exchange effective potentials and consider the isospin breaking effect carefully. We not only reproduce the mass of the newly observed $T_{cc}^+$ very well in the doubly charmed molecular tetraquark scenario, but also predict the other doubly charmed partner resonance $T_{cc}^{\prime+}$ with $m=3876~\text{MeV}$, and $Γ= 412~\text{keV}$. The prime decay modes of the $T_{cc}^{\prime+}$ are $D^0D^+γ$ and $D^+D^0π^0$. The peculiar characteristic mass spectrum of the $D^0D^{*+}/D^+D^{*0}$ molecular systems can be applied to identify the doubly charmed molecular states.

Systematics of fully heavy tetraquarks

In this work, we systematically study the mass spectrum of the fully heavy tetraquark in an extended chromomagnetic model, which includes both color and chromomagnetic interactions. Numerical results indicate that the energy level is mainly determined by the color interaction, which favors the color-sextet $\ket{(QQ)^{6_{c}}(\bar{Q}\bar{Q})^{\bar{6}_{c}}}$ configuration over the color-triplet $\ket{(QQ)^{\bar{3}_{c}}(\bar{Q}\bar{Q})^{3_{c}}}$ one. The chromomagnetic interaction mixes the two color configurations and gives small splitting. The ground state is always dominated by the color-sextet configuration. We find no stable state below the lowest heavy quarkonium pair thresholds. Most states may be wide since they have at least one $S$-wave decay channel into two $S$-wave mesons. One possible narrow state is the $1^{+}$ $bb\bar{b}\bar{c}$ state with a mass $15719.1~\text{MeV}$. It is just above the $η_{b}\bar{B}_{c}$ threshold. But this channel is forbidden because of the conservation of the angular momentum and parity.

Systematics of the heavy flavor hadronic molecules

With a quark level interaction, we give a unified description of the loosely bound molecular systems composed of the heavy flavor hadrons $(\bar{D},\bar{D}^*)$, $(Λ_c, Σ_c, Σ_c^*)$, and $(Ξ_c, Ξ_c^\prime,Ξ_c^*)$. Using the $P_c$ states as inputs to fix the interaction strength of light quark-quark pairs, we reproduce the observed $P_{cs}$ and $T_{cc}^+$ states and predict another narrow $T_{cc}^{\prime+}$ state with quantum numbers $[D^*D^*]_{J=1}^{I=0}$. If we require a satisfactory description of the $T_{cc}^+$ and $P_c$ states simultaneously, our framework prefers the assignments of the $P_{c}(4440)$ and $P_{c}(4457)$ as the $[Σ_c\bar{D}^*]_{J=1/2}^{I=1/2}$ and $[Σ_c\bar{D}^*]_{J=3/2}^{I=1/2}$ states, respectively. We propose the isospin criterion to explain naturally why the experimentally observed $T_{cc}$, $P_c$, and $P_{cs}$ molecular candidates prefer the lowest isospin numbers. We also predict the loosely bound states for the bottom di-hadrons.

The magnetic moments and electromagnetic form factors of the decuplet baryons in chiral perturbation theory

We have systematically investigated the magnetic moments and magnetic form factors of the decuplet baryons to the next-to-next-leading order in the framework of the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. Our calculation includes the contributions from both the intermediate decuplet and octet baryon states in the loops. We also calculate the charge and magnetic dipole form factors of the decuplet baryons. Our results may be useful to the chiral extrapolation of the lattice simulations of the decuplet electromagnetic properties.

Toward the existence of odderon as a three-gluon bound state

Inspired by the evidence of the odderon exchange recently observed by the D0 and TOTEM Collaborations, a QCD sum rule investigation is performed to study the odderon as a three-gluon bound state. There may exist six lowest-lying three-gluon odderons with the quantum numbers $J^{PC} = 1/2/3^{\pm-}$. We systematically construct their interpolating currents, and calculate their mass spectra. To verify their existence, we propose to search for the spin-3 odderons in their $VVV$ and $VVP$ decay channels directly at LHC, with $V$ and $P$ light vector and pseudoscalar mesons respectively.

Two- and three-gluon glueballs of $C=+$

We study two- and three-gluon glueballs of $C=+$ using the method of QCD sum rules. We systematically construct their interpolating currents, and find that all the spin-1 currents of $C=+$ vanish. This suggests that the ``ground-state'' spin-1 glueballs of $C=+$ do not exist within the relativistic framework. We calculate masses of the two-gluon glueballs with $J^{PC} = 0^{\pm+}/2^{\pm+}$ and the three-gluon glueballs with $J^{PC} = 0^{\pm+}/2^{\pm+}$. We propose to search for the $J^{PC} = 0^{-+}/2^{-\pm}/3^{\pm-}$ three-gluon glueballs in their three-meson decay channels in future BESIII, GlueX, LHC, and PANDA experiments.

$D^{(\ast)}N$ interaction and the structure of $Σ_c(2800)$ and $Λ_c(2940)$ in chiral effective field theory

We study the $DN$ and $D^\ast N$ interactions to probe the inner structure of $Σ_c(2800)$ and $Λ_c(2940)$ with the chiral effective field theory to the next-to-leading order. We consider the contact term, one-pion-exchange and two-pion-exchange contributions to characterize the short-, long- and mid-range interactions of the $D^{(\ast)}N$ systems. The low energy constants of the $D^{(\ast)}N$ systems are related to those of the $N\bar{N}$ interaction with quark level Lagrangian that inspired by the resonance saturation model. The $Δ(1232)$ degree of freedom is also included in the loop diagrams. The attractive potential in the $[DN]_{J=1/2}^{I=1}$ channel is too weak to form bound state, which indicates the explanation of $Σ_c(2800)$ as the compact charmed baryon is more reasonable. Meanwhile, the potentials of the isoscalar channels are deep enough to yield the molecular states. We obtain the masses of the $[DN]_{J=1/2}^{I=0}$, $[D^\ast N]_{J=1/2}^{I=0}$ and $[D^\ast N]_{J=3/2}^{I=0}$ systems to be $2792.0$ MeV, $2943.6$ MeV and $2938.4$ MeV, respectively. The $Λ_c(2940)$ is probably the isoscalar $D^\ast N$ molecule considering its low mass puzzle. Besides, the $Λ_c(2940)$ signal might contain the spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ and spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ two structures, which can qualitatively explain the significant decay ratio to $D^0p$ and $Σ_cπ$. We also study the $\bar{B}^{(\ast)}N$ systems and predict the possible molecular states in the isoscalar channels. We hope experimentalists could hunt for the open charmed molecular pentaquarks in the $Λ_c^+π^+π^-$ final state.

$Z_{cs}(3985)^-$ as the $U$-spin partner of $Z_c(3900)^-$ and implication of other states in the $\text{SU(3)}_F$ symmetry and heavy quark symmetry

Recently, for the first time, the BESIII Collaboration reported the strange hidden charm tetraquark states $Z_{cs}(3985)^-$ in the $K^+$ recoil-mass spectrum near the $D_{s}^{-}D^{*0}/ D_{s}^{*-}D^{0}$ mass thresholds in the processes of $e^{+}e^{-}\to K^{+}(D_{s}^{-}D^{*0}+D_{s}^{*-}D^{0})$ at $\sqrt{s}=4.681$ GeV. The significance was estimated to be 5.3 $σ$. We show that the newly observed $Z_{cs}(3985)^-$ state is the $U$-spin partner of $Z_c(3900)^{-}$ as a resonance within coupled-channel calculation in the $\text{SU(3)}_F$ symmetry and heavy quark spin symmetry (HQSS). In the $\text{SU(3)}_F$ symmetry, we introduce the $G_{U/V}$ parity to construct the flavor wave functions of the $Z_{cs}$ states. In a unified framework, we consider the $J/ψπ(K)$, $\bar{D}_{(s)}{D}^*/\bar{D}_{(s)}^*{D}$ coupled-channel effect with the contact interaction. With the masses and widths of $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_c(4020)$, we determine all the unknown coupling constants. We obtain mass and width of $Z_{cs}(3985)$ in good agreement with the experimental results, which strongly supports the $Z_{cs}$ states as the $U/V$-spin partner states of the charged $Z_c(3900)$. We also calculate the ratio of the partial decay widths of $Z_{cs}(3985)$, which implies that the $\bar{D}_sD^*/\bar{D}^*_s D$ decay modes are dominant. We also predict the $Z_{cs}^\prime$ states with a mass around $4130$ MeV and width around $30$ MeV, which are the $U/V$-spin partner states of the charged $Z_c(4020)$ and HQSS partner states of the $Z_{cs}(3985)$. In the hidden bottom sector, we predict the strange tetraquark states $Z_{bs}$ and $Z_{bs}^\prime$ with a mass around 10700 MeV and 10750 MeV, which are the $U/V$-spin partner states of $Z_{b}(10610)^{\pm}$ and $Z_b(10650)^{\pm}$, respectively.

Decoding the nature of $Z_{cs}(3985)$ and establishing the spectrum of charged heavy quarkoniumlike states in chiral effective field theory

We study the newly observed charmoniumlike state $Z_{cs}(3985)$ in the framework of chiral effective field theory. The interaction kernel of the $\bar{D}_sD^\ast/\bar{D}^\ast_sD$ system is calculated up to the next-to-leading order with the explicit chiral dynamics. With the fitted parameters extracted from the $Z_c(3900)$ data as inputs, the mass, width and event distributions of the $Z_{cs}(3985)$ are very consistent with the experimental measurements. Our studies strongly support the $Z_{cs}(3985)$ as the partner of the $Z_c(3900)$ in the SU(3)$_f$ symmetry and the $\bar{D}_sD^\ast/\bar{D}^\ast_sD$ molecular resonance with the same dynamical origin as the other charged heavy quarkoniumlike states. We precisely predict the resonance parameters of the unobserved states in $\bar{D}_s^\ast D^\ast$, $B^\ast_s \bar{B}/B_s\bar{B}^\ast$ and $B_s^\ast\bar{B}^\ast$ systems, and establish a complete spectrum of the charged charmoniumlike and bottomoniumlike states with the $I(J^P)$ quantum numbers $1(1^+)$ and $\frac{1}{2}(1^+)$, respectively.

Probing hidden-charm decay properties of $P_c$ states in a molecular scenario

The $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$, and $P_c(4457)$ observed by the LHCb Collaboration are very likely to be $S$-wave $Σ_c\bar{D}^{(*)}$ molecular candidates due to their near-threshold character. In this work, we study the hidden-charm decay modes of these $P_c$ states, $P_c\to J/ψp(η_cp)$, using a quark interchange model. The decay mechanism for the $P_c\to J/ψp(η_cp)$ processes arises from the quark-quark interactions, where all parameters are determined by the mass spectra of mesons. We present our results in two scenarios. In scenario I, we perform the dynamical calculations and treat the $P_c$ states as pure $Σ_c \bar D^{(*)}$ molecules. In scenario II, after considering the coupled channel effect between different flavor configurations $Σ^{(*)}_c\bar D^{(*)}$, we calculate these partial decay widths again. The decay patterns in these two scenarios can help us to explore the molecular assignment and the inner flavor configurations for the $P_c$ states. In particular, the decay widths of $Γ(P_c(4312)\toη_cp)$ are comparable to the $J/ψp$ decay widths in both of these two scenarios. Future experiments like LHCb may confirm the existence of the $P_c(4312)$ in the $η_cp$ channel.

Spectrum of the strange hidden charm molecular pentaquarks in chiral effective field theory

We calculate the effective potentials of the $Ξ_c\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$, $Ξ_c^\prime\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$ and $Ξ_c^\ast\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$ systems with the chiral effective field theory up to the next-to-leading order. We simultaneously consider the short-, intermediate- and long-range interactions. With the newly observed $P_c$ spectra as inputs, we construct the quark-level contact Lagrangians to relate the low energy constants to those of $Σ_c\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$ with the help of quark model. Our calculation indicates there are seven bound states in the $I=0$ strange hidden charm $[Ξ_c^\prime\bar{D}^{(\ast)}]_J~(J=\frac{1}{2},\frac{3}{2})$ and $[Ξ_c^\ast\bar{D}^{(\ast)}]_J~(J=\frac{1}{2},\frac{3}{2},\frac{5}{2})$ systems. Our analyses also disfavor the $Λ_c\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$ bound states. However, we obtain three new hadronic molecules in the isoscalar $[Ξ_c\bar{D}^{(\ast)}]_J~(J=\frac{1}{2},\frac{3}{2})$ systems. The masses of $[Ξ_c\bar{D}]_{1/2}$, $[Ξ_c\bar{D}^{\ast}]_{1/2}$ and $[Ξ_c\bar{D}^{\ast}]_{3/2}$ are predicted to be $4319.4^{+2.8}_{-3.0}$ MeV, $4456.9^{+3.2}_{-3.3}$ MeV and $4463.0^{+2.8}_{-3.0}$ MeV, respectively. We also notice the one-eta-exchange influence is rather feeble. Binding solutions in the $I=1$ channels are nonexistent. We hope the future analyses at LHCb can seek for these new $P_{cs}$s in the $JψΛ$ final states, especially near the thresholds of $Ξ_c\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$.

$Σ_cN$ interaction in chiral perturbation theory

We adopt the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory to calculate the $Σ_cN$ interaction to the next-to-leading order. We consider the contact interactions, one-pion-exchange contributions, two-pion-exchange diagrams, and renormalization effects of the vertices, masses and wave functions. With the pion mass dependent expression, we fit the $Σ_cN$ interaction from HAL QCD calculation with $m_π\approx 410$ MeV and $m_π\approx 570$ MeV, and then extrapolate it to the physical pion mass. The $^3S_1(I=1/2)$ $Σ_{c}N$ interaction is weakly attractive but no bound solution is found. We also propose a quark model to estimate the leading order $Σ_cN$ contact interaction with the $NN$ interaction as input. This approach combining the quark model and the chiral effective field theory predicts a very attractive interaction in $^1S_0(I=3/2)$ $Σ_{c}N$ channel and a two-body bound state.

A possible explanation of the threshold enhancement in the process $e^+e^-\rightarrow Λ\barΛ$

Inspired by the recent measurement of the process $e^+e^-\rightarrow Λ\barΛ$, we calculate the mass spectrum of the $ϕ$ meson with the GI model. For the excited vector strangeonium states $ϕ(3S,~4S,~5S,~6S)$ and $ϕ(2D,~3D,~4D,~5D)$, we further investigate the electronic decay width with the Van Royen-Weisskopf formula, and the partial widths of the $Λ\barΛ$, $Ξ^{-(*)}\barΞ^+$, and $Σ^{+(*)}\barΣ^{-(*)}$ decay modes with the extended quark pair creation model. We find that the electronic decay width of the $D$-wave vector strangeonium is about $3\sim8$ times larger than that of the $S$-wave vector strangeonium. Around 2232 MeV the partial decay width of the $Λ\barΛ$ mode can reach up to several MeV for $ϕ(3^3S_1)$, while the partial $Λ\barΛ$ decay width of $ϕ(2^3D_1)$ is $\mathcal{O}(10^{-3})$ keV. If the threshold enhancement reported by the BESIII Collaboration arises from the strangeonium meson, this state is very likely to be the $ϕ(3^3S_1)$ state. We also note that the $Λ\barΛ$ and $Σ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ partial decay widths of the states $ϕ(3^3D_1)$ and $ϕ(4^3S_1)$ are about several MeV, respectively, which are enough to be observed in future experiments.

Isospin violating decay $D^*_s \to D_s π^0$ in chiral perturbation theory

We systematically calculate the isospin violating decay, $D_s^*\to D_sπ^0$, with the heavy meson chiral perturbation theory up to $\mathcal{O}(p^3)$ including the loop diagrams. The $\mathcal{O}(p^3)$ tree level amplitudes contain four undetermined LECs. We use two strategies to estimate them. With the nonanalytic dominance approximation, we get $Γ[D_s^\ast\to D_sπ^0]=(3.38\pm0.12)$ eV. With the naturalness assumption, we give a possible range of the isospin violating decay width, $[1.11-6.88]$ eV. We find that the contribution of the $\mathcal{O}(p^3)$ corrections might be significant.

Possible Molecular States Composed of Doubly Charmed Baryons with Couple-channel Effect

We systematically investigate the possible molecular states composed of (1) two spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ doubly charmed baryons, and (2) a pair of spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ and spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ doubly charmed baryons. The one-boson-exchange (OBE) model is used to describe the potential between two baryons. The channel mixing effect is considered for the systems with the same quantum number $(I(J^P))$ but different total spin ($S$) and orbital angular momenta ($L$). We also study the channel mixing effect among the systems composed of various doubly charmed baryons if they have the same quantum number. Many of the systems are good candidates of molecular states.

The hidden-charm strong decays of the $Z_c$ states

Inspired by BESIII's measurement of the decay $Z_c(3900)^{\pm}\rightarrow ρ^{\pm}η_c$, we calculate the branching fraction ratio between the $ρη_c$ and $πJ/ψ$ decay modes for the charged states $Z_c(3900)$, $Z_c(4020)$ and $Z_c(4430)$ using a quark interchange model. Our results show that (i) the ratio $R_{Z_c(3900)}=\frac{\mathcal{B}(Z_c(3900)^{\pm}\rightarrow ρ^{\pm}η_c)}{\mathcal{B}(Z_c(3900)^{\pm}\rightarrow π^{\pm}J/ψ)}$ is 1.3 and 1.6 in the molecular and tetraquark scenarios respectively, which is roughly consistent with the experimental data $R^{\mathrm{exp}}=2.2\pm0.9$. (ii) The ratios $\frac{Γ[Z_c(3900)\rightarrow ρη_c]}{Γ[Z_c(4020)\rightarrow ρη_c]}$ and $\frac{Γ[Z_c(3900)\rightarrow πJ/ψ]}{Γ[Z_c(4020)\rightarrow πJ/ψ]}$ are about 12.5 and 24.2, respectively in the molecular scenario. In contrast, these ratios are about 1.2 in the tetraquark scenario. The non-observation of the $Z_c(4020)$ signal in the $πJ/ψ$ decay mode strongly indicates that $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_c(4020)$ are molecule-like signals which arise from the $D^{(*)}{\bar D}^{(*)}$ hadronic interactions.

The axial charges of the hidden-charm pentaquark states

With the chiral quark model, we have calculated the axial charges of the pentaquark states with $(I,I_3)=(\frac{1}{2},\frac{1}{2})$ and $J^{P}=\frac{1}{2}^{\pm},\frac{3}{2}^{\pm},\frac{5}{2}^{\pm}$. The $P_c$ states with the same $J^P$ quantum numbers but different color-spin-flavor configurations have very different axial charges, which encode important information on their underlying structures. For some of the $J^{P}=\frac{3}{2}^{\pm}$ or $\frac{5}{2}^{\pm}$ pentaquark states, their axial charges are much smaller than that of the proton.

$X(4140)$, $X(4270)$, $X(4500)$ and $X(4700)$ and their $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark partners

In the simple color-magnetic interaction model, we investigate possible ground $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark states in the diquark-antidiquark basis. We use several methods to estimate the mass spectrum and discuss possible assignment for the $X$ states observed in the $J/ψϕ$ channel. We find that assigning the Belle $X(4350)$ as a $0^{++}$ tetraquark is consistent with the tetraquark interpretation for the $X(4140)$ and $X(4270)$ while the interpretation of the $X(4500)$ and $X(4700)$ needs orbital or radial excitation. There probably exist several tetraquarks around 4.3 GeV that decay into $J/ψϕ$ or $η_cϕ$.

D-wave charmed and bottomed baryons from QCD sum rules

We study the $D$-wave charmed baryons of $SU(3)$ flavor $\mathbf{\bar3}_F$ using the method of QCD sum rule in the framework of heavy quark effective theory (HQET). We find that the $Λ_c(2880)$, $Ξ_c(3055)$ and $Ξ_c(3080)$ can be well described by the $D$-wave $SU(3)$ $\mathbf{\bar 3}_F$ charmed baryon multiplets of $J^P=3/2^+$ and $5/2^+$, which contain two $λ$-mode orbital excitations, i.e., the $Λ_c(2880)$ has $J^P=5/2^+$, and the $Ξ_c(3055)$ and $Ξ_c(3080)$ have $J^P = 3/2^+$ and $5/2^+$, respectively. Our results also suggest that the $Λ_c(2880)$ has a partner state, the $Λ_c(3/2^+)$ of $J^P=3/2^+$. Its mass is around $2.81 ^{+0.33}_{-0.18}$ GeV, and the mass difference between it and the $Λ_c(2880)$ is $28^{+45}_{-24}$ MeV. We also evaluate the masses of their bottom partners.

Decoding the $X(5568)$ as a fully open-flavor $su\bar b\bar d$ tetraquark state

We investigate the recent evidence for a charged $X(5568)$ meson as an exotic open-flavor tetraquark state $su\bar b\bar d$ with $J^P=0^+/1^+$ in the framework of QCD sum rules. We use the color antisymmetric $[\mathbf{\bar 3_c}]_{su} \otimes [\mathbf{3_c}]_{\bar{b}\bar d}$ tetraquark currents in both scalar and axial-vector channels to perform evaluations and numerical analyses. Our results imply that the $X(5568)$ can be interpreted as both the scalar $su\bar b\bar d$ tetraquark state and the axial-vector one, which are in good agreement with the experimental measurement. We also discuss the possible decay patterns of the $X(5568)$ and suggest to search for its neutral partner in the radiative decay into $B_s^0 γ$ and $B_s^* γ$, which can be used to determine its spin-parity quantum numbers. Moreover, we predict its charmed partner state around $2.55$ GeV with the quark content $su\bar c\bar d$ and $J^P=0^+/1^+$.

Moreover, we predict two other hidden-charm molecular pentaquarks with configurations $Σ_c\bar{D}^*$ $(I=3/2, J^P=1/2^-)$ and $Σ_c^*\bar{D}^*$ $(I=3/2, J^P=1/2^-)$ and two charm-strange molecular pentaquarks $P_{cs}(3340)$ and $P_{cs}(3400)$ corresponding to the $Σ_c\bar{K}^*$ configuration with $(I=1/2, J^P=3/2^-)$ and the $Σ_c^*\bar{K}^*$ configuration with $(I=1/2, J^P=5/2^-)$, respectively. Additionally, we also predict some hidden-bottom $Σ_b^{(*)}B^*$ and $B_c$-like $Σ_c^{(*)}B^*/Σ_b^{(*)}\bar{D}^*$ pentaquarks.

Magnetic moments of the hidden-charm pentaquark states

The magnetic moment of a baryon state is an equally important dynamical observable as its mass, which encodes crucial information of its underlying structure. According to the different color-flavor structure, we have calculated the magnetic moments of the hidden-charm pentaquark states with $J^P={\frac{1}{2}}^{\pm}$, ${\frac{3}{2}}^{\pm}$, ${\frac{5}{2}}^{\pm}$ and ${\frac{7}{2}}^{+}$ in the molecular model, the diquark-triquark model and the diquark-diquark-antiquark model respectively. Although a good description for the pentaquark mass spectrum and decay patterns has been obtained in all the three models, different color-flavor structures lead to different magnetic moments, which can be used to pin down their inner structures and distinguish various models.

With the effective potentials, we try to find the bound state solutions of the corresponding systems, which provide crucial information of whether there exist the $T\bar{T}$-type molecular states. According to our analysis, we predict some $T\bar{T}$-type molecular states which may be accessible at future experiments like LHCb and forthcoming BelleII.

QCD sum rule study of hidden-charm pentaquarks

We study the mass spectra of hidden-charm pentaquarks having spin $J = {1\over2}/{3\over2}/{5\over2}$ and quark contents $uud c \bar c$. We systematically construct all the relevant local hidden-charm pentaquark currents, and select some of them to perform QCD sum rule analyses. We find that the $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$ can be identified as hidden-charm pentaquark states composed of an anti-charmed meson and a charmed baryon. Besides them, we also find a) the lowest-lying hidden-charm pentaquark state of $J^P = 1/2^-$ has the mass $4.33^{+0.17}_{-0.13}$ GeV, while the one of $J^P = 1/2^+$ is significantly higher, that is around $4.7-4.9$ GeV; b) the lowest-lying hidden-charm pentaquark state of $J^P = 3/2^-$ has the mass $4.37^{+0.18}_{-0.13}$ GeV, consistent with the $P_c(4380)$ of $J^P = 3/2^-$, while the one of $J^P = 3/2^+$ is also significantly higher, that is above $4.6$ GeV; c) the hidden-charm pentaquark state of $J^P = 5/2^-$ has a mass around $4.5-4.6$ GeV, slightly larger than the $P_c(4450)$ of $J^P = 5/2^+$.

Searching for hidden-charm baryonium signals in QCD sum rules

We give an explicit QCD sum rule investigation to hidden-charm baryonium states with the quark content $u\bar u d\bar d c\bar c$, spin $J=0/1/2/3$, and of both positive and negative parities. We systematically construct the relevant local hidden-charm baryonium interpolating currents, which can actually couple to various structures, including hidden-charm baryonium states, charmonium states plus two pions, and hidden-charm tetraquark states plus one pion, etc. We do not know which structure these currents couple to at the beginning, but after sum rule analyses we can obtain some information. We find some of them can couple to hidden-charm baryonium states, using which we evaluate the masses of the lowest-lying hidden-charm baryonium states with quantum numbers $J^P=2^-/3^-/0^+/1^+/2^+$ to be around 5.0 GeV. We suggest to search for hidden-charm baryonium states, especially the one of $J=3^-$, in the $D$-wave $J/ψππ$ and $P$-wave $J/ψρ$ and $J/ψω$ channels in this energy region.

Strong decay patterns of the hidden-charm pentaquark states $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$

With the heavy quark symmetry and spin rearrangement scheme, we study the strong decay behavior of the hidden-charm pentaquark states with $J^P={\frac{3}{2}}^{\pm}, {\frac{5}{2}}^{\pm}$ assuming they are molecular candidates composed of ${\bar D}^{(\ast)}$ and $Σ_c^{(\ast)}$. We obtain several typical ratios of the partial decay widths of the hidden-charm pentaquarks. For the three S-wave $(\bar{D}Σ_c^*)$, $(\bar{D}^*Σ_c)$ and $(\bar{D}^*Σ_c^*)$ molecular pentaquarks with $J^P={{3}/{2}}^{-}$, we have obtained the ratio of their $J/ψN$ decay widths: $Γ\left[(\bar D{Σ^{\ast}_c})\right]:Γ\left[({\bar D}^{\ast}Σ_c)\right]:Γ\left[({\bar D}^{\ast}{Σ^{\ast}_c})\right]=2.7:1.0:5.4$, which may be useful to further test the possible molecular assignment of the $P_c$ states.

The hidden-charm pentaquark and tetraquark states

In the past decade many charmonium-like states were observed experimentally. Especially those charged charmonium-like $Z_c$ states and bottomonium-like $Z_b$ states can not be accommodated within the naive quark model. These charged $Z_c$ states are good candidates of either the hidden-charm tetraquark states or molecules composed of a pair of charmed mesons. Recently, the LHCb Collaboration discovered two hidden-charm pentaquark states, which are also beyond the quark model. In this work, we review the current experimental progress and investigate various theoretical interpretations of these candidates of the multiquark states. We list the puzzles and theoretical challenges of these models when confronted with the experimental data. We also discuss possible future measurements which may distinguish the theoretical schemes on the underlying structures of the hidden-charm multiquark states.

$a_1(1420)$ resonance as a tetraquark state and its isospin partner

We systematically construct tetraquark currents of $I^GJ^{PC}=1^-1^{++}$ and classify them into types $\mathbf{A}$ (antisymmetric), $\mathbf{S}$ (symmetric) and $\mathbf{M}$ (mixed), based on flavor symmetries of diquarks and antidiquarks composing the tetra quark currents. We use tetraquark currents of type $\mathbf{M}$ to perform QCD sum rule analyses, and find a tetraquark current $η^M_{5μ}$ with quark contents $q s\bar q \bar s$($q=u$ or $d$) leading to a mass of $1.44 \pm 0.08$ GeV consistent with the $a_1(1420)$ state recently observed by the COMPASS collaboration. Our results support tetraquark explanations for both $a_1(1420)$ and $f_1(1420)$, assuming that they are isospin partners. We also study their possible decay patterns. As tetraquark candidates, the possible decay modes of $a_1(1420)$ are $S$-wave $a_1(1420) \rightarrow K^*(892)K$ and $P$-wave $a_1(1420)\rightarrow f_0(980) π$ while the possible decay patterns of $f_1(1420)$ are $S$-wave $f_1(1420) \rightarrow K^*(892)K$ and $P$-wave $f_1(1420) \rightarrow a_0(980) π$. We speculate that $a_1(1420)$ is partly responsible for the large isospin violation in the $η(1405)\to f_0(980)π_0$ decay mode which is reported by BESIII collaboration in the $J/ψ\toγ3π$ process.

Heavy hybrid mesons in the QCD sum rule

We study the spectra of the hybrid mesons containing one heavy quark ($q\bar{Q}g$) within the framework of QCD sum rules in the heavy quark limit. The derived sum rules are stable with the variation of the Borel parameter within their corresponding working ranges. The extracted binding energy for the heavy hybrid doublets $H^h(S^h)$ and $M^h(T^h)$ is almost degenerate. We also calculate the pionic couplings between these heavy hybrid and the conventional heavy meson doublets using the light-cone QCD sum rule method. The extracted coupling constants are rather small as a whole. With these couplings we make a rough estimate of the partial widths of these pionic decay channels.

Identifying exotic hidden-charm pentaquarks

The LHCb Collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN discovered two pentaquark states $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$. These two hidden-charm states are interpreted as the loosely bound $Σ_c(2455)D^*$ and $Σ_c^*(2520)D^*$ molecular states in the boson exchange interaction model, which provides an explanation for why the experimental width of $P_c(4450)$ is much narrower than that of $P_c(4380)$. The discovery of the new resonances $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$, indeed, opens a new page for hadron physics. The partners of $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$ should be pursued in future experiments.

Mass spectra of Zc and Zb exotic states as hadron molecules

We construct charmonium-like and bottomonium-like molecular interpolating currents with quantum numbers J(PC)=1(+-) in a systematic way, including both color singlet-singlet and color octet-octet structures. Using these interpolating currents, we calculate two-point correlation functions and perform QCD sum rule analyses to obtain mass spectra of the charmonium-like and bottomonium-like molecular states. Masses of the charmonium-like q_bar c c_bar q molecular states for these various currents are extracted in the range 3.85-4.22 GeV, which are in good agreement with observed masses of the Zc resonances. Our numerical results suggest a possible landscape of hadronic molecule interpretations of the newly-observed Zc states. Mass spectra of the bottomonium-like q_bar b b_bar q molecular states are similarly obtained in the range 9.92-10.48 GeV, which support the interpretation of the Zb(10610) meson as a molecular state within theoretical uncertainties. Possible decay channels of these molecular states are also discussed.

P-wave charmed baryons from QCD sum rules

We study the P-wave charmed baryons using the method of QCD sum rule in the framework of heavy quark effective theory (HQET). We consider systematically all possible baryon currents with a derivative for internal rho- and lambda-mode excitations. We have found a good working window for the currents corresponding to the rho-mode excitations for Lambda_c(2595), Lambda_c(2625), Xi_c(2790) and Xi_c(2815) which complete two SU(3) 3F_bar multiplets of J(P)=1/2(-) and 3/2(-), while the currents corresponding to the lambda-mode excitations seem also consistent with the data. Our results also suggest that there are two Sigma_c(2800) states of J(P)=1/2(-) and 3/2(-) whose mass splitting is 14 \pm 7 MeV, and two Xi_c(2980) states whose mass splitting is 12 \pm 7 MeV. The mass extracted from this analysis is $M_{d^*} = 2.4\pm0.2$ GeV, consistent with the $d^*(2380)$ mass observed by the WASA detector at COSY. We also obtain a sum-rule lower mass bound $M_{d^*} > 2.25$ GeV. We also consider the effect of mixing of singlet dibaryon fields with the same quantum numbers, and perform the QCD sum rule analysis of the mixed interpolating current and extract the mass of the $d^*(2380)$ and its lower mass bound. Strong decay patterns of the hidden-charm tetraquarks

With the spin rearrangement, we have performed a comprehensive investigation of the decay patterns of the S-wave tetraquarks and P-wave tetraquarks where the P-wave excitation exists either between the diquark and anti-diquark pair or inside the diquark. Especially, we compare the decay patterns of $Y(4260)$ with different inner structures such as the conventional charmonium, the molecule, the P-wave tetraquark and the hybrid charmonium. We notice the $J/ψππ$ mode is suppressed in the heavy quark symmetry limit if $Y(4260)$ is a molecular state. Moreover the hybrid charmonium and hidden-charm tetraquark have very similar decay patterns. Both of them decay into the $J/ψππ$ and open charm modes easily. We also discuss the decay patterns of $X(3872)$, $Y(4360)$, and several charged states such as $Z_c(4020)$. The $h_cπ^{\pm}$ decay mode disfavors the tetraquark assumption of $Z_c(4020)$.

The electromagnetic decays of the charmed and bottom baryons in chiral perturbation theory

We have investigated the electromagnetic decays of the antitriplet and sextet charmed baryon systems with $J^P= \frac{1}{2}^+, \frac{3}{2}^+$ in the framework of the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. We first construct the chiral Lagrangians at $O(p^2)$ and $O(p^3)$. Then we calculate the electromagnetic (EM) decay amplitudes of the charmed baryon systems up to $O(p^3)$. With the help of the quark model, we estimate the low energy constants. The numerical results of the EM decay widths show good convergence of the chiral expansion. We notice that the two neutral EM decay processes $Ξ_c'^0\rightarrowγ+Ξ_c^0$ and ${Ξ_c^*}'^0\rightarrowγ+Ξ_c^0$ are strongly suppressed by the SU(3) U-spin flavor symmetry. With the same formalism, we also estimate the EM decay widths of the bottomed baryons. The EM decay widths of the heavy baryons may be measured at facilities such as LHCb and JPARC. The explicit chiral structures of the heavy baryon decay amplitudes derived in this work may be useful to the possible chiral extrapolations of the future lattice simulations of these EM decay amplitudes.

The chiral dynamics of the doubly heavy baryons is solely governed by the light quark. In this work, We have derived the chiral corrections to the mass of the doubly heavy baryons up to N$^3$LO. The mass splitting of $Ξ_{cc}$ and $Ω_{cc}$ at the N$^2$LO depends on one unknown low energy constant $c_7$. With the experimental mass of $Ξ_{cc}(3520)$ as the input, we estimate the mass of $Ω_{cc}$ to be around 3.678 GeV. Moreover, we have also performed a systematical analysis of the chiral corrections to the axial currents and axial charges of the doubly heavy baryons. The chiral structure and analytical expressions will be very useful to the chiral extrapolations of the future lattice QCD simulations of the doubly heavy baryons.

The recoil correction and spin-orbit force for the possible $B^* \bar{B}^{*}$ and $D^* \bar{D}^{*}$ states

In the framework of the one-boson exchange model, we have calculated the effective potentials between two heavy mesons $B^* \bar{B}^{*}$ and $D^* \bar{D}^{*}$ from the t- and u-channel $π$-, $η$-, $ρ$-, $ω$- and $σ$-meson exchanges. We keep the recoil corrections to the $B^* \bar{B}^{*}$ and $D^* \bar{D}^{*}$ systems up to $O(\frac{1}{M^2})$, which turns out to be important for the very loosely bound molecular states. Our numerical results show that the momentum-related corrections are favorable to the formation of the molecular states in the $I^G=1^+$, $J^{PC}=1^{+-}$ in the $B^* \bar{B}^{*}$ and $D^* \bar{D}^{*}$ systems.

Towards exotic hidden-charm pentaquarks in QCD

Inspired by $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$ recently observed by LHCb, a QCD sum rule investigation is performed, by which they can be identified as exotic hidden-charm pentaquarks composed of an anti-charmed meson and a charmed baryon. Our results suggest that $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$ have quantum numbers $J^P=3/2^-$ and $5/2^+$, respectively. Furthermore, two extra hidden-charm pentaqurks with configurations $\bar{D}Σ_c^*$ and $\bar{D}^*Σ_c^*$ are predicted, which have spin-parity quantum numbers $J^P=3/2^-$ and $J^P=5/2^+$, respectively. As an important extension, the mass predictions of hidden-bottom pentaquarks are also given. Searches for these partners of $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$ are especially accessible at future experiments like LHCb and BelleII.

Zc(4200)+ decay width as a charmonium-like tetraquark state

To identify the nature of the newly observed charged resonance Zc(4200), we study its hadronic decays Zc(4200) -> J/psi pi, Zc(4200) -> eta_c rho and Zc(4200) -> D bar D* as a charmonium-like tetraquark state. In the framework of the QCD sum rules, we calculate the three-point functions and extract the coupling constants and decay widths for these interaction vertices. Including all these channels, the full decay width of the Zc(4200) state is consistent with the experimental value reported by the Belle Collaboration, supporting the tetraquark interpretation of this state.

$D^*\bar D^*$ molecule interpretation of $Z_c(4025)$

We have used QCD sum rules to study the newly observed charged state $Z_c(4025)$ as a hidden-charm $D^*\bar D^*$ molecular state with the quantum numbers $I^G(J^{P})=1^+(1^{+})$. Using a $D^*\bar D^*$ molecular interpolating current, we have calculated the two-point correlation function and the spectral density up to dimension eight at leading order in $α_s$. The extracted mass is $m_X=(4.04\pm0.24)$ GeV. This result is compatible with the observed mass of $Z_c(4025)$ within the errors, which implies a possible molecule interpretation of this new resonance. We also predict the mass of the corresponding hidden-bottom $B^*\bar B^*$ molecular state: $m_{Z_b}=(9.98\pm0.21)$ GeV.

Chiral Perturbation Theory and the $\bar B \bar B$ Strong Interaction

We have calculated the potentials of the heavy (charmed or bottomed) pseudoscalar mesons up to $O(ε^2)$ with the heavy meson chiral perturbation theory. We take into account the contributions from the football, triangle, box, and crossed diagrams with the 2$ϕ$ exchange and one-loop corrections to the contact terms. We notice that the total 2$ϕ$-exchange potential alone is attractive in the small momentum region in the channel ${\bar B \bar B}^{I=1}$, ${\bar B_s \bar B_s}^{I=0}$, or ${\bar B \bar B_s}^{I=1/2}$, while repulsive in the channel ${\bar B \bar B}^{I=0}$. Hopefully the analytical chiral structures of the potentials may be useful in the extrapolation of the heavy meson interaction from lattice QCD simulation.

Exotic Four Quark Matter: $Z_1(4475)$

Motivated by the LHCb's recent confirmation of $Z_1(4475)$ as the $J^P=1^+$ resonance, we investigate various exotic interpretations of $Z_1(4475)$, which may be an axial vector tetraquark state, the P-wave excitation of the S-wave $D_1 {\bar D}^\ast$ or $D_2 {\bar D}^\ast$ molecule, the S-wave molecule composed of a $D$ or $D^*$ meson and a D-wave vector $D$ meson, or the cousin molecular state of $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_c(4020)$ composed of a $D$ or $D^*$ meson and their radial excitations. With the help of the heavy quark symmetry, we predict the typical radiative and hidden-charm and open-charm strong decay patterns of $Z_1(4475)$, which are crucial to further identify the molecular state assignment of $Z_1(4475)$.

Exotic hadron states

Many charmonium-like and bottomonium-like $XYZ$ resonances have been observed by the Belle, Babar, CLEO and BESIII collaborations in the past decade. They are difficult to fit in the conventional quark model and thus are considered as candidates of exotic hadrons, such as multi-quark states, meson molecules, and hybrids. In this talk, we first briefly introduce the method of QCD sum rules and then provide a short review of the mass spectra of the quarkonium-like tetraquark states and the heavy quarkonium hybrids in the QCD sum rules approach. Possible interpretations of the $XYZ$ resonances are briefly discussed.

Exotic open-flavor $bc\bar{q}\bar{q}$, $bc\bar{s}\bar{s}$ and $qc\bar{q}\bar{b}$, $sc\bar{s}\bar{b}$ tetraquark states

We study the exotic $bc\bar{q}\bar{q}$, $bc\bar{s}\bar{s}$ and $qc\bar{q}\bar{b}$, $sc\bar{s}\bar{b}$ systems by constructing the corresponding tetraquark currents with $J^P=0^+$ and $1^+$. After investigating the two-point correlation functions and the spectral densities, we perform QCD sum rule analysis and extract the masses of these open-flavor tetraquark states. Our results indicate that the masses of both the scalar and axial vector tetraquark states are about $7.1-7.2$ GeV for the $bc\bar{q}\bar{q}$ system and $7.2-7.3$ GeV for the $bc\bar{s}\bar{s}$ system. For the $qc\bar{q}\bar{b}$ tetraquark states with $J^P=0^+$ and $1^+$, their masses are extracted to be around $7.1$ GeV. The masses for the scalar and axial vector $sc\bar{s}\bar{b}$ states are $7.1$ GeV and $6.9-7.1$ GeV, respectively. The tetraquark states $qc\bar{q}\bar{b}$ and $sc\bar{s}\bar{b}$ lie below the thresholds of $D^{(\ast)}B^{(\ast)}$ and $D_s^{(\ast)}B_s^{(\ast)}$ respectively, but they can decay into $B_c$ plus a light meson. However, the tetraquark states $bc\bar{q}\bar{q}$ and $bc\bar{s}\bar{s}$ lie below the $D^{(\ast)}\bar B^{(\ast)}$ and $D_s^{(\ast)}\bar B_s^{(\ast)}$ thresholds, suggesting dominantly weak decay mechanisms.

Exploring the Spectrum of Heavy Quarkonium Hybrids with QCD Sum Rules

QCD Laplace sum rules are used to calculate heavy quarkonium (charmonium and bottomonium) hybrid masses in several distinct $J^{PC}$ channels. Previous studies of heavy quarkonium hybrids did not include the effects of dimension-six condensates, leading to unstable sum rules and unreliable mass predictions in some channels. We have updated these sum rules to include dimension-six condensates, providing new mass predictions for the spectra of heavy quarkonium hybrids. We confirm the finding of other approaches that the negative-parity $J^{PC}=(0,1,2)^{-+},\,1^{--}$ states form the lightest hybrid supermultiplet and the positive-parity $J^{PC}=(0,1)^{+-},\,(0,1,2)^{++}$ states are members of a heavier supermultiplet. Our results disfavor a pure charmonium hybrid interpretation of the $X(3872)$, in agreement with previous work.

Hidden-Charm Tetraquarks and Charged Zc States

Experimentally several charged axial-vector hidden-charm states were reported. Within the framework of the color-magnetic interaction, we have systematically considered the mass spectrum of the hidden-charm and hidden-bottom tetraquark states. It is impossible to accommodate all the three charged states $Z_c(3900)$, $Z_c(4025)$ and $Z_c(4200)$ within the axial vector tetraquark spectrum simultaneously. Not all these three states are tetraquark candidates. Moreover, the eigenvector of the chromomagnetic interaction contains valuable information of the decay pattern of the tetraquark states. The dominant decay mode of the lowest axial vector tetraquark state is $J/ψπ$ while its $D^*\bar{D}$ and $\bar{D}^*D^*$ modes are strongly suppressed, which is in contrast with the fact that the dominant decay mode of $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_c(4025)$ is $\bar{D}D^*$ and $\bar{D}^*D^*$ respectively. We emphasize that all the available experimental information indicates that $Z_c(4200)$ is a very promising candidate of the lowest axial vector hidden-charm tetraquark state.

Masses of the Bottom-Charm Hybrid $\bar bGc$ States

QCD sum rules are used to study the mass spectrum of bottom-charm hybrid $\bar bGc$ systems. The correlation functions and the spectral densities are calculated up to dimension six condensates at leading order of $α_s$ for several $J^P$ quantum numbers. After performing the QCD sum rule analysis, we predict the masses of the $J^P=0^{-}, 0^{+}, 1^{-}, 1^{+}, 2^{-}, 2^{+}$ bottom-charm hybrids. These mass predictions show a similar supermultiplet structure as the bottomonium and charmonium hybrids. Probing the $XYZ$ states through radiative decays

In this work, we have adopted the spin rearrangement scheme in the heavy quark limit and extensively investigated three classes of the radiative decays: $\mathfrak{M}\to (b\bar{b})+γ$, $(b\bar{b})\to \mathfrak{M}+γ$, $ \mathfrak{M} \to \mathfrak{M}^\prime+γ$, corresponding to the electromagnetic transitions between one molecular state and bottomonium, one bottomonium and molecular state, and two molecular states respectively. We also extend the same formalism to study the radiative decays of the molecular states with hidden charm. We have derived some model independent ratios when the initial or final states belong to the same spin flavor multiplet. Future experimental measurement of these ratios will test the molecular picture and explore the underlying structures of the $XYZ$ states.

Resolving the puzzling decay patterns of charged $Z_c$ and $Z_b$ states

We investigate the ratio of the branching fractions of the molecular candidates decaying into the ground and radially excited states within the quark interchange model. Our numerical results suggest that these molecular candidates are more likely to decay into the radially excited states than into ground states. Especially, the ratio $Γ[Z_c(4430)\to πψ(2S)]$/$Γ[Z_c(4430)\to πJ/ψ]\sim 9.8$ is close to the experimental measurement, which supports the interpretation of $Z_c(4430)$ as the $\bar{D}D^*(2S)$ molecular state. The ratios of the branching fractions of $Z_b(10610)$ and $Z_b(10650)$ to $πΥ(2S, 3S)$ and $πΥ(1S)$ agrees very well with Belle's measurement. We also predict the similar ratios for $Z_c(3900)$, $Z_c(4020)$, $R_{Z_c(3900)}$$\approx$1.3 and $R_{Z_c(4020)}$$\approx$$4.7$. Hopefully the $πψ(2S)$ mode, and ratios $R_{Z_c(3900)}$ and $R_{Z_c(4020)}$ will be measured by the BESIII and Belle collaborations in the near future, which shall be very helpful to understand the underlying dynamics of these exotic states.

We further extend the corresponding formula to discuss the decay behavior of some charmonium-like states by combining the experimental information with our numerical results. The typical ratios presented in this work can be measured by future experiments like BESIII, Belle, LHCb and the forthcoming BelleII, which shall provide important clues to the inner structures of the exotic states.

Choosing the same threshold values omega_c around 2.7 Gev, we calculate the masses of the 1^- and 3^- states. The Spin-orbit force, recoil corrections and possible $B \bar{B}^{*}$ and $D \bar{D}^{*}$ molecular states

In the framework of the one boson exchange model, we have calculated the effective potentials between two heavy mesons $B \bar{B}^{*}$ and $D \bar{D}^{*}$ from the t- and u-channel $π$, $η$, $ρ$, $ω$ and $σ$ meson exchange with four kinds of quantum number: $I=0$, $J^{PC}=1^{++}$; $I=0$, $J^{PC}=1^{+-}$; $I=1$, $J^{PC}=1^{++}$; $I=1$, $J^{PC}=1^{+-}$. We keep the recoil corrections to the $B \bar{B}^{*}$ and $D \bar{D}^{*}$ system up to $O(\frac{1}{M^2})$. The spin orbit force appears at $O(\frac{1}{M})$, which turns out to be important for the very loosely bound molecular states. Our numerical results show that the momentum-related corrections are unfavorable to the formation of the molecular states in the $I=0$, $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ and $I=1$, $J^{PC}=1^{+-}$ channels in the $D \bar{D}^{*}$ systems.

$Z_c(4025)$ as the hadronic molecule with hidden charm

We have studied the loosely bound $D^*\bar{D}^*$ system. Our results indicate that the recently observed charged charmonium-like structure $Z_c(4025)$ can be an ideal $D^*\bar{D}^*$ molecular state. We have also investigated its pionic, dipionic, and radiative decays. We stress that both the scalar isovector molecular partner $Z_{c0}$ and three isoscalar partners ${\tilde Z}_{c0,c1,c2}$ should also exist if $Z_c(4025)$ is a $D^*\bar{D}^*$ molecular state {in the framework of the one-pion-exchange model}. $Z_{c0}$ can be searched for in the channel $e^+e^-\to Y \to Z_{c0}(4025)\left(ππ\right)_{P-wave}$ where $Y$ can be Y(4260) or any other excited $1^{--}$ charmonium or charmonium-like states such as Y(4360), Y(4660) etc. The isoscalar $D^*\bar{D}^*$ molecular states ${\tilde Z}_{c0,c2}$ with $0^+(0^{++})$ and $0^+(2^{++})$ can be searched for in the three pion decay channel $e^+e^-\to Y \to {\tilde Z}_{c0,c2} \left(3π\right)^{I=0}_{P-wave}$. The isoscalar molecular state ${\tilde Z}_{c1}$ with $0^-(1^{+-})$ can be searched for in the channel ${\tilde Z}_{c1}η$. Experimental discovery of these partner states will firmly establish the molecular picture.

In our study, we take into account the S-D mixing which plays an important role in the formation of the loosely bound deuteron, and particularly, the coupled-channel effect in the flavor space. According to our calculation, the states $D^{(*)}D^{(*)}[I(J^P)=0(1^+)]$ and $(D^{(*)}D^{(*)})_s[J^P=1^+]$ with double charm, the states $\bar{B}^{(*)}\bar{B}^{(*)}[I(J^P)=0(1^+),0(2^+),1(0^+),1(1^+),1(2^+)]$, $(\bar{B}^{(*)}\bar{B}^{(*)})_s[J^P=0^+,1^+,2^+]$ and $(\bar{B}^{(*)}\bar{B}^{(*)})_{ss}[J^P=0^+,1^+,2^+]$ with double bottom, and the states $D^{(*)}\bar{B}^{(*)}[I(J^P)=0(0^+),0(1^+)]$ and $(D^{(*)}\bar{B}^{(*)})_s[J^P=0^+,1^+]$ with both charm and bottom are good molecule candidates. However, the existence of the states $D^{(*)}D^{(*)}[I(J^P)=0(2^+)]$ with double charm and $D^{(*)}\bar{B}^{(*)}[I(J^P)=1(1^+)]$ with both charm and bottom is ruled out.

Mass Spectrum of Heavy Quarkonium Hybrids

We have extended the calculation of the correlation functions of heavy quarkonium hybrid operators with various $J^{PC}$ quantum numbers to include QCD condensates up to dimension six. In contrast to previous analyses which were unable to optimize the QCD sum-rules for certain $J^{PC}$, recent work has shown that inclusion of dimension six condensates stabilizes the hybrid sum-rules and permits reliable mass predictions. In this work we have investigated the effects of the dimension six condensates on the remaining channels. After performing the QCD sum-rule analysis, we update the mass spectra of charmonium and bottomonium hybrids with exotic and non-exotic quantum numbers. We identify that the negative-parity states with $J^{PC}=(0, 1, 2)^{-+}, 1^{--}$ form the lightest hybrid supermultiplet while the positive-parity states with $J^{PC}=(0, 1)^{+-}, (0, 1, 2)^{++}$ belong to a heavier hybrid supermultiplet, confirming the supermultiplet structure found in other approaches. The hybrid with $J^{PC}=0^{--}$ has a much higher mass which may suggest a different excitation of the gluonic field compared to other channels. In agreement with previous results, we find that the $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ charmonium hybrid is substantially heavier than the X(3872), which seems to preclude a pure charmonium hybrid interpretation for this state.

The meson-exchange model for the $Λ\barΛ$ interaction

In the present work, we apply the one-boson-exchange potential (OBEP) model to investigate the possibility of Y(2175) and $η(2225)$ as bound states of $Λ\barΛ(^3S_1)$ and $Λ\barΛ(^1S_0)$ respectively. We consider the effective potential from the pseudoscalar $η$-exchange and $η^{'}$-exchange, the scalar $σ$-exchange, and the vector $ω$-exchange and $ϕ$-exchange. The $η$ and $η^{'}$ meson exchange potential is repulsive force for the state $^1S_0$ and attractive for $^3S_1$. The results depend very sensitively on the cutoff parameter of the $ω$-exchange ($Λ_ω$) and least sensitively on that of the $ϕ$-exchange ($Λ_ϕ$). Our result suggests the possible interpretation of Y(2175) and $η(2225)$ as the bound states of $Λ\barΛ(^3S_1)$ and $Λ\barΛ(^1S_0)$ respectively.

Hadronic Molecular States Composed of Heavy Flavor Baryons

We investigate the possible molecules composed of two heavy flavor baryons such as "$A_QB_Q$"(Q=b, c) within the one-pion-exchange model (OPE). Our results indicate that the long-range $π$ exchange force is strong enough to form molecules such as $[Σ_QΞ_Q^{'}]^{I=1/2}_{S=1}$(Q=b, c), $[Σ_QΛ_Q]^{I=1}_{S=1}$(Q=b, c), $[Σ_bΞ_b^{'}]^{I=3/2}_{S=1}$ and $[Ξ_bΞ^{'}_b]^{I=0}_{S=1}$ where the S-D mixing plays an important role. In contrast, the $π$ exchange does not form the spin-singlet $A_QB_Q$ bound states. If we consider the heavier scalar and vector meson exchanges as well as the pion exchange, some loosely bound spin-singlet S-wave states appear while results of the spin-triplet $A_QB_Q$ system does not change significantly, which implies the pion exchange plays an dominant role in forming the spin-triplet molecules. Moreover, we perform an extensive coupled channel analysis of the $Λ_QΛ_Q$ system within the OPE and one-boson-exchange (OBE) framework and find that there exist loosely bound states of $Λ_QΛ_Q$(Q=b,c) with quantum numbers $I(J^P)=0(0^+)$, $0(0^-)$ and $0(1^-)$. The binding solutions of $Λ_QΛ_Q$ system mainly come from the coupled-channel effect in the flavor space. Besides the OPE force, the medium- and short-range attractive force also plays a significant role in the formation of the loosely bound $Λ_cΛ_c$ and $Λ_bΛ_b$ states. Once produced, they will be very stable because such a system decays via weak interaction with a very long lifetime around $10^{-13}\sim10^{-12}$s.

Isospin breaking, coupled-channel effects, and X(3872)

We re-investigate the possibility of X(3872) as a $D\bar{D}^*$ molecule with $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ within the framework of both the one-pion-exchange (OPE) model and the one-boson-exchange (OBE) model. After careful treatment of the S-D wave mixing, the mass difference between the neutral and charged $D(D^*)$ mesons and the coupling of the $D(D^*)$ pair to $D^*\bar{D}^*$, a loosely bound molecular state X(3872) emerges quite naturally with large isospin violation in its flavor wave function. For example, the isovector component is 26.24% if the binding energy is 0.30 MeV, where the isospin breaking effect is amplified by the tiny binding energy. After taking into account the phase space difference and assuming the $3π$ and $2π$ come from a virtual omega and rho meson respectively, we obtain the ratio of these two hidden-charm decay modes: $\mathcal{B}(X(3872)\rightarrow π^+π^-π^0 J/ψ)/\mathcal{B}(X(3872)\rightarrow π^+π^- J/ψ)=0.42$ for the binding energy being 0.3 MeV, which is consistent with the experimental value.

Pseudoscalar Goldstone Bosons Scattering off Charmed Baryons with Chiral Perturbation Theory

We have systematically calculated the pseudoscalar Goldstone boson and charmed baryon scattering lengths to the third order with heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. We use dimensional regularization and modified minimal subtraction to get rid of the divergences in the loop-diagram corrections. $Z_b(10610)^\pm$ and $Z_b(10650)^\pm$ as the $B^*\bar{B}$ and $B^*\bar{B}^{*}$ molecular states

In the framework of the one-boson-exchange model, we have studied the interaction of the $B^*\bar{B}$ and $B^*\bar{B}^{*}$ system. After considering the S-wave and D-wave mixing, we notice that both $Z_b(10610)^\pm$ and $Z_b(10650)^\pm$ can be interpreted as the $B^*\bar{B}$ and $B^*\bar{B}^{*}$ molecular states quite naturally. Within the same framework, there also exist several molecular charmonia including X(3872) and several other molecular bottomonia, which are the partners of $Z_b(10610)$ and $Z_b(10650)$. The long-range one-pion-exchange force alone is strong enough to form these loosely bound molecular states, which ensures the numerical results quite model-independent and robust.

Charged bottomonium-like states $Z_b(10610)$ and $Z_b(10650)$ and the $Υ(5S)\to Υ(2S)π^+π^-$ decay

Inspired by the newly observed two charged bottomonium-like states, we consider the possible contribution from the intermediate $Z_b(10610)$ and $Z_b(10650)$ states to the $Υ(5S)\to Υ(2S)π^+π^-$ decay process, which naturally explains Belle's previous observation of the anomalous $Υ(2S)π^+π^-$ production near the peak of $Υ(5S)$ at $\sqrt s=10.87$ GeV [K.F. Chen {\it et al}. (Belle Collaboration), Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 100}, 112001 (2008)]. The resulting $dΓ(Υ(5S)\to Υ(2S)π^+π^-)/dm_{π^+π^-}$ and $dΓ(Υ(5S)\to Υ(2S)π^+π^-)/d\cosθ$ distributions agree with Belle's measurement after inclusion of these $Z_b$ states. This formalism also reproduces the Belle observation of the double-peak structure and its reflection in $Υ(2S)π^+$ invariant mass spectrum of $Υ(5S)\to Υ(2S)π^+π^-$ decay.

Novel charmonium-like structures in the $J/ψϕ$ and $J/ψω$ invariant mass spectra

Stimulated by the new evidence of Y(4274) observed in the $J/ψϕ$ invariant mass spectrum, we first propose the charmonium-like state Y(4274) as the S-wave $D_s\bar{D}_{s0}(2317)+h.c.$ molecular state with $J^P=0^-$, which is supported well by dynamics study of the system composed of the pseudoscalar and scalar charmed mesons. The S-wave $D\bar{D}_{0}(2400)+h.c.$ molecular charmonium appears as the molecular partner of Y(4274), which is in accord with the enhancement structure appearing at 4.2 GeV in the $J/ψω$ invariant mass spectrum from B decays. Our study shows that the enhancement structures, $i.e.$, the newly observed Y(4274) and the previously announced $Y(4140)/Y(3930)$ in the $J/ψϕ$ and $J/ψω$ invariant mass spectra, can be understood well under the uniform framework of the molecular charmonium, which can be tested by future experiments.

Possible Deuteron-like Molecular States Composed of Heavy Baryons

We perform a systematic study of the possible loosely bound states composed of two charmed baryons or a charmed baryon and an anti-charmed baryon within the framework of the one boson exchange (OBE) model. We consider not only the $π$ exchange but also the $η$, $ρ$, $ω$, $ϕ$ and $σ$ exchanges. The $S-D$ mixing effects for the spin-triplets are also taken into account. With the derived effective potentials, we calculate the binding energies and root-mean-square (RMS) radii for the systems $Λ_cΛ_c(\barΛ_c)$, $Ξ_cΞ_c(\barΞ_c)$, $Σ_cΣ_c(\barΣ_c)$, $Ξ_c^\primeΞ_c^\prime(\barΞ_c^\prime)$ and $Ω_cΩ_c(\barΩ_c)$. Our numerical results indicate that: (1) the H-dibaryon-like state $Λ_cΛ_c$ does not exist; (2) there may exist four loosely bound deuteron-like states $Ξ_cΞ_c$ and $Ξ_c^\primeΞ_c^\prime$ with small binding energies and large RMS radii.

The Decay Properties of the 1^{-+} Hybrid State

Within the framework of the QCD sum rules, we consider the three-point correlation function, work at the limit q^2 -> 0 and m_π-> 0, and pick out the singular term ~ {1\over q^2} to extract the pionic coupling constants of the 1^{-+} hybrid meson. Then we calculate the decay widths of different modes. The decay width of the S-wave modes b_1 π, f_1πincreases quickly as the hybrid meson mass and decay momentum increase. But for the low mass hybrid meson around 1.6 GeV, the P-wave decay mode ρπis very important and its width is around 180 MeV, while the widths of ηπand η^\prime πare strongly suppressed. We suggest the experimental search of π_1(1600) through the decay chains at BESIII: e^+e^- -> J/ψ(ψ') -> π_1 +γor e^+e^- -> J/ψ(ψ') -> π_1 +ρwhere the π_1 state can be reconstructed through the decay modes π_1 -> ρπ-> π^+π^-π^0 or π_1 -> f_1(1285)π^0. It is also interesting to look for π_1 using the available BELLE/BABAR data through the process e^+e^- -> γ^\ast -> ρπ_1, b_1π_1, γπ_1 etc.

The possible hidden-charm molecular baryons composed of anti-charmed meson and charmed baryon

With the one-boson-exchange model we have studied the possible existence of the very loosely bound hidden-charm molecular baryons composed of anti-charmed meson and charmed baryon. Our numerical results indicate that there exist $Σ_c\bar{D}^*$ states with $I(J^P)=1/2(1/2^-), 1/2(3/2^-), 3/2(1/2^-), 3/2(3/2^-)$ and $Σ_c\bar{D}$ state with $3/2(1/2^-)$. But the $Λ_c \bar{D}$ and $Λ_c \bar{D}^*$ molecular states do not exist.

The Pseudoscalar Meson and Heavy Vector Meson Scattering Lengths

We have systematically studied the S-wave pseudoscalar meson and heavy vector meson scattering lengths to the third order with the chiral perturbation theory, which will be helpful to reveal their strong interaction. For comparison, we have presented the numerical results of the scattering lengths (1) in the framework of the heavy meson chiral perturbation theory and (2) in the framework of the infrared regularization. The chiral expansion converges well in some channels.

The Vector and Axial-Vector Charmonium-like States

After constructing all the tetraquark interpolating currents with $J^{PC}=1^{-+}, 1^{--}, 1^{++}$ and $1^{+-}$ in a systematic way, we investigate the two-point correlation functions to extract the masses of the charmonium-like states with QCD sum rule. For the $1^{--}$ $qc\bar q\bar c$ charmonium-like state, $m_X=4.6\sim4.7$ GeV, which implies a possible tetraquark interpretation for the state Y(4660). The masses for both the $1^{++}$ $qc\bar q\bar c$ and $sc\bar s\bar c$ charmonium-like states are around $4.0\sim 4.2$ GeV, which are slightly above the mass of X(3872). For the $1^{-+}$ $qc\bar q\bar c$ charmonium-like state, the extracted mass is $4.5\sim 4.7$ GeV. We also discuss the possible decay modes and experimental search of the $1^{-+}$ charmonium-like states.

$D\bar{D}$ production and their interactions

S and P wave $D\bar{D}$ scatterings are studied in a meson exchange model with the coupling constants obtained in the heavy quark effective theory. With the extracted P wave phase shifts and the separable potential approximation, we include the $D\bar{D}$ rescattering effect and investigate the production process $e^+e^-\to D\bar{D}$. We find that it is difficult to explain the anomalous line shape observed by the BES collaboration with this mechanism. Combining our model calculation and the experimental measurement, we estimate the upper limit of the nearly universal cutoff parameter to be 1.7 GeV. With this number, the upper limits of the binding energies of the S wave $D\bar{D}$ and $B\bar{B}$ bound states are obtained. Assuming that the S wave and P wave interactions rely on the same cutoff, our study provides a way of extracting the information about S wave molecular bound states from the P wave meson pair production.

Light Scalar Meson sigma(600) in QCD Sum Rule with Continuum

The light scalar meson sigma(600) is known to appear at low excitation energy with very large width on top of continuum states. We investigate it in the QCD sum rule as an example of resonance structures appearing above the corresponding thresholds. We use all the possible local tetraquark currents by taking linear combinations of five independent local ones. We ought to consider the pi-pi continuum contribution in the phenomenological side of the QCD sum rule in order to obtain a good sum rule signal. We study the stability of the extracted mass against the Borel mass and the threshold value and find the sigma(600) mass at 530 MeV +- 40 MeV. In addition we find the extracted mass has an increasing tendency with the Borel mass, which is interpreted as caused by the width of the resonance.

Possible heavy molecular states composed of a pair of excited charm-strange mesons

The P-wave charm-strange mesons $D_{s0}(2317)$ and $D_{s1}(2460)$ lie below the $DK$ and $D^\ast K$ threshold respectively. They are extremely narrow because their strong decays violate the isospin symmetry. We study the possible heavy molecular states composed of a pair of excited charm strange mesons. As a byproduct, we also present the numerical results for the bottonium-like analogue.

The molecular systems composed of the charmed mesons in the $H\bar{S}+h.c.$ doublet

We study the possible heavy molecular states composed of a pair of charm mesons in the H and S doublets. Since the P-wave charm-strange mesons $D_{s0}(2317)$ and $D_{s1}(2460)$ are extremely narrow, the future experimental observation of the possible heavy molecular states composed of $D_s/D_s^\ast$ and $D_{s0}(2317)/D_{s1}(2460)$ may be feasible if they really exist. Especially the possible $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ states may be searched for via the initial state radiation technique.

The Strong Decay Patterns of the $1^{-+}$ Exotic Hybrid Mesons

We calculate the coupling constants of the decay modes $1^{-+}\rightarrowρπ, f_1π, b_1π, ηπ, η'π, a_1π, f_1η$ within the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rule. Then we calculate the partial width of these decay channels, which differ greatly from the existing calculations using phenomenological models. For the isovector $1^{-+}$ state, the dominant decay modes are $ρπ, f_1π$. For its isoscalar partner, its dominant decay mode is $a_1π$. We also discuss the possible search of the $1^{-+}$ state at BESIII, for example through the decay chains $J/ψ(ψ')\to π_1 +γ$ or $J/ψ(ψ')\to π_1 +ρ$ where $π_1$ can be reconstructed through the decay modes $π_1\to ρπ\to π^+π^-π^0$ or $π_1\to f_1(1285)π^0$. Hopefully the present work will be helpful to the experimental establishment of the $1^{-+}$ hybrid meson.

Y(4143) is probably a molecular partner of Y(3930)

After discussing the various possible interpretations of the Y(4143) signal observed by the CDF collaboration in the $J/ψϕ$ mode, we tend to conclude that Y(4143) is probably a $D_s^\ast {\bar D}_s^\ast$ molecular state with $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ or $2^{++}$ while Y(3930) is its $D^\ast {\bar D}^\ast$ molecular partner as predicted in our previous work (arXiv:0808.0073). Both the hidden-charm and open charm two-body decays occur through the rescattering of the vector components within the molecular states while the three- and four-body open charm decay modes are forbidden kinematically. Hence their widths are narrow naturally. CDF, Babar and Belle collaborations may have discovered heavy molecular states already. We urge experimentalists to measure their quantum numbers and explore their radiative decay modes in the future.

Light Scalar Tetraquark Mesons in the QCD Sum Rule

We study the lowest-lying scalar mesons in the QCD sum rule by considering them as tetraquark states. We find that there are five independent currents for each state with a certain flavor structure. By forming linear combinations, we find that some mixed currents give reliable QCD sum rules. Among various tetraquark currents, we consider those which are constructed by the diquarks having anti-symmetric and symmetric flavor structures. That the results of the QCD sum rule derived from the two types of currents are similar suggests that the tetraquark states can have a large mixing between different flavor structures.

Decays of $D_{sj}^*(2317)$ and $D_{sj}(2460)$ Mesons in the Quark Model

We study the decay widths of the narrow resonances $D_{sj}^*(2317)$ and $D_{sj}(2460)$ in the chiral quark model, together with the well-known $D^\ast$ and $D_s^*$ mesons. All the parameters in our calculation are taken from Godfrey and Isgur's quark model except the $π^0-η$ mixing angle which is fixed by the $D_s^*$ decay widths. The calculated electromagnetic decay widths agree with those from other groups and the experimental data available quite well. However, the pionic decay widths of $D_{sj}(2317)$ and $D_{sj}(2460)$ are too small to fit the experimental data. We suspect that the simple chiral quark pion axial-vector interaction Hamiltonian is not suitable for hadron strong decays of $D_{sj}(2317)$ and $D_{sj}(2460)$.

The Possible $J^{PC}I^G=2^{++}2^+$ State X(1600)

The interesting state X(1600) with $J^{PC}I^G=2^{++}2^+$ can't be a conventional $q \bar q$ meson in the quark model. Using a mixed interpolating current with different color configurations, we investigate the possible existence of X(1600) in the framework of QCD finite energy sum rules. Our results indicate that both the "hidden color" and coupled channel effects may be quite important in the multiquark system. We propose several reactions to look for this state.

Heavy Pentaquarks

We construct the spin-flavor wave functions of the possible heavy pentaquarks containing an anti-charm or anti-bottom quark using various clustered quark models. Then we estimate the masses and magnetic moments of the $J^P={1\over 2}^+$ or ${3\over 2}^+$ heavy pentaquarks. We emphasize the difference in the predictions of these models. Future experimental searches at BESIII, CLEOc, BELLE, and LEP may find these interesting states.

Nuclear Parity-Violation in Effective Field Theory

We reformulate the analysis of nuclear parity-violation (PV) within the framework of effective field theory (EFT). To order Q, the PV nucleon-nucleon (NN) interaction depends on five a priori unknown constants that parameterize the leading-order, short-range four-nucleon operators. When pions are included as explicit degrees of freedom, the potential contains additional medium- and long-range components parameterized by PV piNN couplings. We derive the form of the corresponding one- and two-pion-exchange potentials. We apply these considerations to a set of existing and prospective PV few-body measurements that may be used to determine the five independent low-energy constants relevant to the pionless EFT and the additional constants associated with dynamical pions. We also discuss the relationship between the conventional meson-exchange framework and the EFT formulation, and argue that the latter provides a more general and systematic basis for analyzing nuclear PV.

Electroweak Radiative Corrections to Parity-Violating Electroexcitation of the $Δ$

We analyze the degree to which parity-violating (PV) electroexcitation of the $Δ(1232)$ resonance may be used to extract the weak neutral axial vector transition form factors. We find that the axial vector electroweak radiative corrections are large and theoretically uncertain, thereby modifying the nominal interpretation of the PV asymmetry in terms of the weak neutral form factors. We also show that, in contrast to the situation for elastic electron scattering, the axial $N\toΔ$ PV asymmetry does not vanish at the photon point as a consequence of a new term entering the radiative corrections. We argue that an experimental determination of these radiative corrections would be of interest for hadron structure theory, possibly shedding light on the violation of Hara's theorem in weak, radiative hyperon decays.

Parity Violating Photoproduction of $π^\pm$ on the $Δ$ Resonance

We analyze the real photon asymmetry $A^\pm_γ$ for the parity violating (PV) $π^\pm$ production on the $Δ$ resonance via the reactions ${\vec γ} + p \to Δ^+ \to π^+ + n$ and ${\vec γ} + d \to Δ^0 + p \to π^- + p + p$. This asymmetry is nonvanishing due to a PV $γN Δ$ coupling constant, $d^\pm_Δ$. We argue that an experimental determination of this coupling would be of interest for hadron dynamics, possibly shedding light on the S-wave/P-wave puzzle in the hyperon nonleptonic decays and the violation of Hara's theorem in weak radiative hyperon decays.

Subleading corrections to parity violating pion photoproduction

We compute the photon asymmetry $B_γ$ for near threshold parity violating (PV) pion photoproduction through sub-leading order. We show that sub-leading contributions involve a new combination of PV couplings not included in previous analyses of hadronic PV. We argue that existing constraints on the leading order contribution to $B_γ$ -- obtained from the PV $γ$-decay of $^{18}$F -- suggest that the impact of the subleading contributions may be more significant than expected from naturalness argumen

Hybrid quarkonium masses up to the order of ${\cal O}(1/m_Q)$

We have calculated the binding energy of the hybrid quarkonium up to the order of ${\cal O}(1/m_Q)$ and found their decay constants scale like $m_Q^{5/4}$ as $m_Q\to \infty$. The $0^{--}$ and $0^{++}$ hybrid quarkonium is exactly degenerate in the limit of $m_Q\to\infty$ while the ${\cal O}(1/m_Q)$ correction renders the $0^{--}$ mass lower than that for $0^{++}$. The $1^{-+}$ and $1^{+-}$ hybrid is nearly degenerate and lies 0.7 GeV lower than $0^{--}$. With $m_b=4.8$GeV the mass of $1^{-+}$ $b\bar b g$ state is $(10.75\pm 0.10)$, which is the lightest exotic hybrid quarkonium.

The suppression of $πN N(1535)$ coupling in QCD

The light cone QCD sum rules are employed to calculate the $πN N(1535)$ coupling $g_{πN N^\ast}$. We study the two point correlation function of two nucleon currents sandwiched between the vacuum and the pion state. The contribution from the excited states and the continuum is subtracted cleanly through double Borel transformation with respect to the nucleon and N(1535) momenta, $p_1^2$, $p_2^2=(p-q)^2$. Our calculation shows that the $πN N(1535)$ coupling is strongly suppressed.
