Isospin symmetry breaking effects for the mode B→ππ(K){B}\rightarrow ππ(K) in Perturbative QCD

We calculate the direct CPCP violation for the decay process of B0→π0π0{B}^{0}\rightarrow π^{0}π^{0}, B+→π0π+{B}^{+}\rightarrow π^{0}π^{+}, B0→K0π0{B}^{0}\rightarrow K^{0}π^{0} and B+→K+π0{B}^{+}\rightarrow K^{+}π^{0} via isospin symmetry breaking effects from the π0−η−η′π^{0}-η-η' mixing mechanism in perturbative QCD approach. Isospin symmetry breaking originates from the electroweak interaction and the u-d quark mass difference through the strong interaction which are known to be tiny. However, we find that isospin symmetry breaking at the leading order changes the CPCP violation from the new strong phases. Our calculation results for the CPCP violation are within or including the range of experimental results. We also compare our results with those from the QCD factorization and the perturbative QCD schemes without regard to isospin symmetry breaking effects.

CPCP violation for Bc+→D(s)+π+π−B^+_{c}\rightarrow D_{(s)}^+π^+π^- in Perturbative QCD

In the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach we study the direct CPCP violation in Bc+→D(s)+ρ0(ω)→D(s)+π+π−B^+_{c}\rightarrow D_{(s)}^+ρ^0(ω) \rightarrow D_{(s)}^+π^+π^- via the ρ−ωρ-ω mixing mechanism. We find that the CPCP violation can be enhanced by ρ−ωρ-ω mixing when the invariant masses of the π+π−π^+π^- pairs are in the vicinity of the ωω resonance. For the decay process Bc+→D+ρ0(ω)→D+π+π−B^+_{c}\rightarrow D^+ρ^0(ω) \rightarrow D^+π^+π^-, the maximum CPCP violation can reach 7.5 {\%}.

Theoretical analysis of direct CPCP violation and differential decay width in D±→π±π+π−D^\pm\to π^\pm π^+π^- in phase space around the resonances ρ0(770)ρ^0(770) and f0(500)f_0(500)

We perform a theoretical study on direct CPCP violation in D±→π±π+π−D^\pm\to π^\pm π^+π^- in phase space around the intermediate states ρ0(770)ρ^0(770) and f0(500)f_0(500). The possible interference between the amplitudes corresponding to the two resonances is taken into account, and the relative strong phase of the two amplitudes is treated as a free parameter. Our analysis shows that by properly chosen the strong phase, both the CPCP violation strength and differential decay width accommodate to the experimental results.

CPCP violation for B0→ρ0(ω)ρ0(ω)→π+π−π+π−B^{0}\rightarrow ρ^{0}(ω)ρ^{0}(ω) \rightarrow π^+π^-π^+π^- in QCD factorization

In the QCD factorization (QCDF) approach we study the direct CPCP violation in Bˉ0→ρ0(ω)ρ0(ω)→π+π−π+π−\bar{B}^{0}\rightarrowρ^0(ω)ρ^0(ω)\rightarrowπ^+π^-π^+π^- via the ρ−ωρ-ω mixing mechanism. We find that the CPCP violation can be enhanced by double ρ−ωρ-ω mixing when the masses of the π+π−π^+π^- pairs are in the vicinity of the ωω resonance, and the maximum CPCP violation can reach 28{\%}. We also compare the results from the naive factorization and the QCD factorization.

Production of charged ρρ meson in bottom hadron charmed decays and the effect of the finite width correction of the ρρ meson

We calculate the branching ratio of a bottom hadron decaying into a charmed hadron and a charged ρρ meson within the QCD factorization approach. We consider the effect of the finite width correction of the ρρ meson. Our numerical calculation shows an obvious correction because of this effect. We find that the finite width effect of the ρρ meson reduces the branching ratios by about 9% to 11% for bottom meson decay channels: B+→D0ˉρ+B^+\to\bar{D^0}ρ^+, B0→D−ρ+B^0\to D^-ρ^+, and Bs0→Ds−ρ+B^0_s\to D^-_sρ^+, and increases the branching ratio by about 10% for Λb0→Λc+ρ−Λ_b^0\toΛ_c^+ρ^-.

QCD factorization for Λb0→Λc+π−Λ_b^0\toΛ_c^+π^-

We prove that in the limit mb,mc→∞m_b, m_c\to\infty with mc/mbm_c/m_b fixed, factorization holds at order αsα_s for the decay Λb0→Λc+π−Λ_b^0\toΛ_c^+π^-. This proof is done in the infinite-momentum frame in which the momenta of ππ, ΛcΛ_c, and ΛbΛ_b go to infinity. Our result is renormalization scale and scheme independent at O(αs)\mathcal{O}(α_s). This is the same as QCD factorization for B→DπB \to D π.

Direct CP violation for Bˉs0→K0π+π−\bar{B}_{s}^{0}\to K^{0}π^{+}π^{-} decay in QCD factorization

In the framework of QCD factorization, based on the first order of isospin violation, we study direct CP violation in the decay of Bˉs0→K0ρ0(ω)→K0π+π−\bar{B}_{s}^{0} \to K^{0}ρ^{0}(ω)\to K^{0}π^{+}π^{-} including the effect of ρ−ωρ-ω mixing. We find that the CP violating asymmetry is large via ρ−ωρ-ω mixing mechanism when the invariant mass of the π+π−π^{+}π^{-} pair is in the vicinity of the ωω resonance. For the decay of Bˉs0→K0ρ0(ω)→K0π+π−\bar{B}_{s}^{0} \to K^{0}ρ^{0}(ω)\to K^{0}π^{+}π^{-}, the maximum CP violating asymmetries can reach about 46%. We also discuss the possibility to observe the predicted CP violating asymmetries at the LHC.
