A local Theory of Domains and its (Noncommutative) Symbolic Counterpart

It is widely accepted nowadays that polyzetas are connected by polynomial relations. One way to obtain relations among polyzetas is to consider their generating series and the relations among these generating series. This leads to the indexation of the generating series of polylogarithms, recently described in \cite{GHM22,BHN,CM}. But, in order to understand the bridge between the extension of this "polylogarithmic calculus" and the world of harmonic sums, a local theory of domains has to be done, preserving quasi-shuffle identities, Taylor expansions and Hadamard products. In this contribution, we present a sketched version of this theory. As an example of generating series, one can consider the eulerian gamma function, \begin{eqnarray*} Γ(1+z)=\exp\biggl(-γz+\sum_{n\ge2} ζ(n)\dfrac{(-z)^n}{n}\biggr) {eqnarray*} and this may suggest to regularize the divergent zeta value $ζ(1)$, for the quasi-shuffle structure, as to be Euler's $γ$ constant. In the same vein, in \cite{BHN}, we introduce a family of eulerian functions, \begin{eqnarray*} Γ_{y_k}(1+z)=\exp\biggl(\sum_{n\ge1}ζ(kn)\dfrac{(-z^k)^n}{n}\biggr), &\mbox{for}&k\ge2,y_k\in Y=\{y_n\}_{n\ge1}. {eqnarray*} This being done, in this work, via their analytical aspects, we establish, on one side, their existence and the fact that their inverses are entire. On the other side, using the same symmetrization technique, we give their distributions of zeroes.

A combinatorial non-commutative Hopf algebra of graphs

A non-commutative, planar, Hopf algebra of rooted trees was proposed in L. Foissy, Bull. Sci. Math. 126 (2002) 193-239. In this paper we propose such a non-commutative Hopf algebra for graphs. In order to define a non-commutative product we use a quantum field theoretical (QFT) idea, namely the one of introducing discrete scales on each edge of the graph (which, within the QFT framework, corresponds to energy scales of the associated propagators).

Degrees of entanglement for multipartite systems

We propose a unified mathematical scheme, based on a classical tensor isomorphism, for characterizing entanglement that works for pure states of multipartite systems of any number of particles. The degree of entanglement is indicated by a set of absolute values of the determinants for each subspace of the multipartite systems. Unlike other schemes, our scheme provides indication of the degrees of entanglement when the qubits are measured or lost successively, and leads naturally to the necessary and sufficient conditions for multipartite pure states to be separable. For systems with a large number of particles, a rougher indication of the degree of entanglement is provided by the set of mean values of the determinantal values for each subspace of the multipartite systems.

Renormalization group-like proof of the universality of the Tutte polynomial for matroids

In this paper we give a new proof of the universality of the Tutte polynomial for matroids. This proof uses appropriate characters of Hopf algebra of matroids, algebra introduced by Schmitt (1994). We show that these Hopf algebra characters are solutions of some differential equations which are of the same type as the differential equations used to describe the renormalization group flow in quantum field theory. This approach allows us to also prove, in a different way, a matroid Tutte polynomial convolution formula published by Kook, Reiner and Stanton (1999). This FPSAC contribution is an extended abstract.

Graph model of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra

We consider an algebraic formulation of Quantum Theory and develop a combinatorial model of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra structure. It is shown that by lifting this structure to the richer algebra of graph operator calculus, we gain a simple interpretation involving, for example, the natural composition of graphs. This provides a deeper insight into the algebraic structure of Quantum Theory and sheds light on the intrinsic combinatorial underpinning of its abstract formalism.

Operator solutions for fractional Fokker-Planck equations

We obtain exact results for fractional equations of Fokker-Planck type using evolution operator method. We employ exact forms of one-sided Levy stable distributions to generate a set of self-reproducing solutions. Explicit cases are reported and studied for various fractional order of derivatives, different initial conditions, and for different versions of Fokker-Planck operators.

Quasiclassical Asymptotics and Coherent States for Bounded Discrete Spectra

We consider discrete spectra of bound states for non-relativistic motion in attractive potentials V_σ(x) = -|V_{0}| |x|^{-σ}, 0 < σ\leq 2. For these potentials the quasiclassical approximation for n -> \infty predicts quantized energy levels e_σ(n) of a bounded spectrum varying as e_σ(n) ~ -n^{-2σ/(2-σ)}. We construct collective quantum states using the set of wavefunctions of the discrete spectrum taking into account this asymptotic behaviour. We give examples of states that are normalizable and satisfy the resolution of unity, using explicit positive functions. These are coherent states in the sense of Klauder and their completeness is achieved via exact solutions of Hausdorff moment problems, obtained by combining Laplace and Mellin transform methods. For σin the range 0<σ\leq 2/3 we present exact implementations of such states for the parametrization σ= 2(k-l)/(3k-l), with k and l positive integers satisfying k>l.

The Ramanujan master theorem and its implications for special functions

We study a number of possible extensions of the Ramanujan master theorem, which is formulated here by using methods of Umbral nature. We discuss the implications of the procedure for the theory of special functions, like the derivation of formulae concerning the integrals of products of families of Bessel functions and the successive derivatives of Bessel type functions. We stress also that the procedure we propose allows a unified treatment of many problems appearing in applications, which can formally be reduced to the evaluation of exponential- or Gaussian-like integrals.

Combinatorial Algebra for second-quantized Quantum Theory

We describe an algebra G of diagrams which faithfully gives a diagrammatic representation of the structures of both the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra H - the associative algebra of the creation and annihilation operators of quantum mechanics - and U(L_H), the enveloping algebra of the Heisenberg Lie algebra L_H. We show explicitly how G may be endowed with the structure of a Hopf algebra, which is also mirrored in the structure of U(L_H). While both H and U(L_H) are images of G, the algebra G has a richer structure and therefore embodies a finer combinatorial realization of the creation-annihilation system, of which it provides a concrete model.

Generation of coherent states of photon-added type via pathway of eigenfunctions

We obtain and investigate the regular eigenfunctions of simple differential operators x^r d^{r+1}/dx^{r+1}, r=1, 2, ... with the eigenvalues equal to one. With the help of these eigenfunctions we construct a non-unitary analogue of boson displacement operator which will be acting on the vacuum. In this way we generate collective quantum states of the Fock space which are normalized and equipped with the resolution of unity with the positive weight functions that we obtain explicitly. These states are thus coherent states in the sense of Klauder. They span the truncated Fock space without first r lowest-lying basis states: |0>, |1>, ..., |r-1>. These states are squeezed, are sub-Poissonian in nature and are reminiscent of photon-added states at Agarwal et al.

Statistics on Graphs, Exponential Formula and Combinatorial Physics

The concern of this paper is a famous combinatorial formula known under the name "exponential formula". It occurs quite naturally in many contexts (physics, mathematics, computer science). Roughly speaking, it expresses that the exponential generating function of a whole structure is equal to the exponential of those of connected substructures. Keeping this descriptive statement as a guideline, we develop a general framework to handle many different situations in which the exponential formula can be applied.

Laguerre-type derivatives: Dobinski relations and combinatorial identities

We consider properties of the operators D(r,M)=a^r(a^†a)^M (which we call generalized Laguerre-type derivatives), with r=1,2,..., M=0,1,..., where a and a^†are boson annihilation and creation operators respectively, satisfying [a,a^†]=1. We obtain explicit formulas for the normally ordered form of arbitrary Taylor-expandable functions of D(r,M) with the help of an operator relation which generalizes the Dobinski formula. Coherent state expectation values of certain operator functions of D(r,M) turn out to be generating functions of combinatorial numbers. In many cases the corresponding combinatorial structures can be explicitly identified.

On certain non-unique solutions of the Stieltjes moment problem

We construct explicit solutions of a number of Stieltjes moment problems based on moments of the form $ρ_{1}^{(r)}(n)=(2rn)!$ and $ρ_{2}^{(r)}(n)=[(rn)!]^{2}$, $r=1,2,...$, $n=0,1,2,...$, \textit{i.e.} we find functions $W^{(r)}_{1,2}(x)>0$ satisfying $\int_{0}^{\infty}x^{n}W^{(r)}_{1,2}(x)dx = ρ_{1,2}^{(r)}(n)$. It is shown using criteria for uniqueness and non-uniqueness (Carleman, Krein, Berg, Pakes, Stoyanov) that for $r>1$ both $ρ_{1,2}^{(r)}(n)$ give rise to non-unique solutions. Examples of such solutions are constructed using the technique of the inverse Mellin transform supplemented by a Mellin convolution. We outline a general method of generating non-unique solutions for moment problems generalizing $ρ_{1,2}^{(r)}(n)$, such as the product $ρ_{1}^{(r)}(n)\cdotρ_{2}^{(r)}(n)$ and $[(rn)!]^{p}$, $p=3,4,...$.
