Divided Differences & Restriction Operator on Paley-Wiener Spaces PWtaupPW_{tau}^{p} for N−N-Carleson Sequences

For a sequence of complex numbers ΛΛ we consider the restriction operator RΛR_Λ defined on Paley-Wiener spaces PWτpPW_τ^{p} (1<p<∞1<p<\infty). Lyubarskii and Seip gave necessary and sufficient conditions on ΛΛ for RΛR_Λ to be an isomorphism between PWτpPW_τ^{p} and a certain weighted lpl^{p} space. The Carleson condition appears to be necessary. We extend their result to N−N-Carleson sequences (finite unions of NN disjoint Carleson sequences). More precisely, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for RΛR_Λ to be an isomorphism between PWτpPW_τ^{p} and an appropriate sequence space involving divided differences.

Reverse Carleson Embeddings for Model Spaces

The classical embedding theorem of Carleson deals with finite positive Borel measures μμ on the closed unit disk for which there exists a positive constant cc such that ∣f∣L2(μ)≤c∣f∣H2|f|_{L^2(μ)} \leq c |f|_{H^2} for all f∈H2f \in H^2, the Hardy space of the unit disk. Lefévre et al. examined measures μμ for which there exists a positive constant cc such that ∥f∥L2(μ)≥c∣f∣H2\|f\|_{L^2(μ)} \geq c |f|_{H^2} for all f∈H2f \in H^2. The first type of inequality above was explored with H2H^2 replaced by one of the model spaces (ΘH2)⊥(ΘH^2)^{\perp} by Aleksandrov, Baranov, Cohn, Treil, and Volberg. In this paper we discuss the second type of inequality in (ΘH2)⊥(ΘH^2)^{\perp}.

Minimality, (Weighted) Interpolation in Paley-Wiener Spaces and Control Theory

It is well known from a result by Shapiro-Shields that in the Hardy spaces, a sequence of reproducing kernels is uniformly minimal if and only if it is an unconditional basis in its span. This property which can be reformulated in terms of interpolation and so-called weak interpolation is not true in Paley-Wiener spaces in general. Here we show that the Carleson condition on a sequence ΛΛ together with minimality in Paley-Wiener spaces PWτpPW_τ^{p} of the associated sequence of reproducing kernels implies the interpolation property of ΛΛ in PWτ+εpPW_{τ+ε}^{p}, for every ε>0ε>0. With the same technics, using a result of McPhail, we prove a similary result about minimlity and weighted interpolation in PWτ+εpPW_{τ+ε}^{p}.. We apply the results to control theory, establishing that, under some hypotheses, a certain weak type of controllability in time τ>0τ>0 implies exact controllability in time τ+ετ+ε, for every ε>0ε>0.
