Monoidal categorification and quantum affine algebras II

We introduce a new family of real simple modules over the quantum affine algebras, called the affine determinantial modules, which contains the Kirillov-Reshetikhin (KR)-modules as a special subfamily, and then prove T-systems among them which generalize the T-systems among KR-modules and unipotent quantum minors in the quantum unipotent coordinate algebras simultaneously. We develop new combinatorial tools: admissible chains of i-boxes which produce commuting families of affine determinantial modules, and box moves which describe the T-system in a combinatorial way. Using these results, we prove that various module categories over the quantum affine algebras provide monoidal categorifications of cluster algebras. As special cases, Hernandez-Leclerc categories provide monoidal categorifications of the cluster algebras for an arbitrary quantum affine algebra.

Braid group action on the module category of quantum affine algebras

Let g0\mathfrak{g}_0 be a simple Lie algebra of type ADE and let Uq′(g)U'_q(\mathfrak{g}) be the corresponding untwisted quantum affine algebra. We show that there exists an action of the braid group B(g0)B(\mathfrak{g}_0) on the quantum Grothendieck ring Kt(g)K_t(\mathfrak{g}) of Hernandez-Leclerc's category Cg0C_{\mathfrak{g}}^0. Focused on the case of type AN−1A_{N-1}, we construct a family of monoidal autofunctors {Si}i∈Z\{\mathscr{S}_i\}_{i\in \mathbb{Z}} on a localization TNT_N of the category of finite-dimensional graded modules over the quiver Hecke algebra of type A∞A_{\infty}. Under an isomorphism between the Grothendieck ring K(TN)K(T_N) of TNT_N and the quantum Grothendieck ring Kt(AN−1(1))K_t({A^{(1)}_{N-1}}), the functors {Si}1≤i≤N−1\{\mathscr{S}_i\}_{1\le i\le N-1} recover the action of the braid group B(AN−1)B(A_{N-1}). We investigate further properties of these functors.

Categories over quantum affine algebras and monoidal categorification

Let Uq′(g)U_q'(\mathfrak{g}) be a quantum affine algebra of untwisted affine ADEADE type, and Cg0\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^0 the Hernandez-Leclerc category of finite-dimensional Uq′(g)U_q'(\mathfrak{g})-modules. For a suitable infinite sequence w^0=⋯si−1si0si1⋯\widehat{w}_0= \cdots s_{i_{-1}}s_{i_0}s_{i_1} \cdots of simple reflections, we introduce subcategories Cg[a,b]\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^{[a,b]} of Cg0\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^0 for all a≤b∈Z⊔{±∞}a \le b \in \mathbb{Z}\sqcup\{ \pm \infty \}. Associated with a certain chain C\mathfrak{C} of intervals in [a,b][a,b], we construct a real simple commuting family M(C)M(\mathfrak{C}) in Cg[a,b]\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^{[a,b]}, which consists of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules. The category Cg[a,b]\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^{[a,b]} provides a monoidal categorification of the cluster algebra K(Cg[a,b])K(\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^{[a,b]}), whose set of initial cluster variables is [M(C)][M(\mathfrak{C})]. In particular, this result gives an affirmative answer to the monoidal categorification conjecture on Cg−\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^- by Hernandez-Leclerc since it is Cg[−∞,0]\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^{[-\infty,0]}, and is also applicable to Cg0\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^0 since it is Cg[−∞,∞]\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}^{[-\infty,\infty]}.

Localizations for quiver Hecke algebras

We provide the localization procedure for monoidal categories by a real commuting family of braiders. For an element ww of the Weyl group, Cw\mathscr{C}_w is a subcategory of modules over quiver Hecke algebra which categorifies the quantum unipotent coordinate algebra Aq[n(w)]A_q[\mathfrak{n}(w)]. We construct the localization Cw~\widetilde{\mathscr{C}_w} of Cw\mathscr{C}_w by adding the inverses of simple modules which correspond to the frozen variables in the quantum cluster algebra Aq[n(w)]A_q[\mathfrak{n}(w)]. The localization Cw~\widetilde{\mathscr{C}_w} is left rigid and we expect that it is rigid.

PBW theoretic approach to the module category of quantum affine algebras

Let Uq′(g)U_q'(\mathfrak{g}) be a quantum affine algebra of untwisted affine ADE type and let Cg0\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}} be Hernandez-Leclerc's category. For a duality datum D\mathcal{D} in Cg0\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}}, we denote by FD\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{D}} the quantum affine Weyl-Schur duality functor. We give sufficient conditions for a duality datum D\mathcal{D} to provide the functor FD\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{D}} sending simple modules to simple modules. Then we introduce the notion of cuspidal modules in Cg0\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}}, and show that all simple modules in Cg0\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}} can be constructed as the heads of ordered tensor products of cuspidal modules.

Representation type of finite quiver Hecke algebras of type Aℓ(1)A^{(1)}_{\ell} for arbitrary parameters

We give Erdmann-Nakano type theorem for the finite quiver Hecke algebras RΛ0(β)R^{Λ_0}(β) of affine type Aℓ(1)A^{(1)}_{\ell}. Note that each finite quiver Hecke algebra lies in one parameter family, and the original Erdmann-Nakano theorem studied the finite quiver Hecke algebra at a special parameter value. We study the general case in our paper. Our result shows in particular that their representation type does not depend on the parameter. Moreover, when the parameter value is nonzero, we show that finite quiver Hecke algebras of tame representation type are biserial algebras.

Young walls and graded dimension formulas for finite quiver Hecke algebras of type A2ℓ(2)A^{(2)}_{2\ell} and Dℓ+1(2)D^{(2)}_{\ell+1}

We study graded dimension formulas for finite quiver Hecke algebras RΛ0(β)R^{Λ_0}(β) of type A2ℓ(2)A^{(2)}_{2\ell} and Dℓ+1(2)D^{(2)}_{\ell+1} using combinatorics of Young walls. We introduce the notion of standard tableaux for proper Young walls and show that the standard tableaux form a graded poset with lattice structure. We next investigate Laurent polynomials associated with proper Young walls and their standard tableaux arising from the Fock space representations consisting of proper Young walls. Then we prove the graded dimension formulas described in terms of the Laurent polynomials. When evaluating at q=1q=1, the graded dimension formulas recover the dimension formulas for RΛ0(β)R^{Λ_0}(β) described in terms of standard tableaux of strict partitions.

Representation type of finite quiver Hecke algebras of type A2ℓ(2)A^{(2)}_{2\ell}

We study cyclotomic quiver Hecke algebras RΛ0(β)R^{Λ_0}(β) in type A2ℓ(2)A^{(2)}_{2\ell}, where Λ0Λ_0 is the fundamental weight. The algebras are natural A2ℓ(2)A^{(2)}_{2\ell}-type analogue of Iwahori-Hecke algebras associated with the symmetric group, from the viewpoint of the Fock space theory developed by the first author and his collaborators. We give a formula for the dimension of the algebra, and a simple criterion to tell the representation type. The criterion is a natural generalization of Erdmann and Nakano's for the Iwahori-Hecke algebras. Except for the examples coming from cyclotomic Hecke algebras, no results of these kind existed for cyclotomic quiver Hecke algebras, and our results are the first instances beyond the case of cyclotomic Hecke algebras.

Categorification of Quantum Generalized Kac-Moody Algebras and Crystal Bases

We construct and investigate the structure of the Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebras RR and their cyclotomic quotients RλR^λ which give a categrification of quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebras. Let $U_\A(\g)$ be the integral form of the quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebra associated with a Borcherds-Cartan matrix A=(aij)i,j∈IA=(a_{ij})_{i,j \in I} and let K0(R)K_0(R) be the Grothedieck group of finitely generated projective graded RR-modules. We prove that there exists an injective algebra homomorphism $Φ: U_\A^-(\g) \to K_0(R)$ and that ΦΦ is an isomorphism if aii≠0a_{ii}\ne 0 for all i∈Ii\in I. Let B(∞)B(\infty) and B(λ)B(λ) be the crystals of $U_q^-(\g)$ and V(λ)V(λ), respectively, where V(λ)V(λ) is the irreducible highest weight $U_q(\g)$-module. We denote by B(∞)\mathfrak{B}(\infty) and B(λ)\mathfrak{B}(λ) the isomorphism classes of irreducible graded modules over RR and RλR^λ, respectively. If aii≠0a_{ii}\ne 0 for all i∈Ii\in I, we define the $U_q(\g)$-crystal structures on B(∞)\mathfrak{B}(\infty) and B(λ)\mathfrak{B}(λ), and show that there exist crystal isomorphisms B(∞)≃B(∞)\mathfrak{B}(\infty) \simeq B(\infty) and B(λ)≃B(λ)\mathfrak{B}(λ) \simeq B(λ). One of the key ingredients of our approach is the perfect basis theory for generalized Kac-Moody algebras.

Construction of Irreducible Representations over Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier Algebras of Finite Classical Type

We give an explicit construction of irreducible modules over Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebras RR and their cyclotomic quotients RλR^λ for finite classical types using a crystal basis theoretic approach. More precisely, for each element vv of the crystal B(∞)B(\infty) (resp. B(λ)B(λ)), we first construct certain modules ∇(a;k)\nabla(\mathbf{a};k) labeled by the adapted string a\mathbf{a} of vv. We then prove that the head of the induced module $\ind \big(\nabla(\mathbf{a};1) \boxtimes...\boxtimes \nabla(\mathbf{a};n)\big)$ is irreducible and that every irreducible RR-module (resp. RλR^λ-module) can be realized as the irreducible head of one of the induced modules $\ind (\nabla(\mathbf{a};1) \boxtimes...\boxtimes \nabla(\mathbf{a};n))$. Moreover, we show that our construction is compatible with the crystal structure on B(∞)B(\infty) (resp. B(λ)B(λ)).

Geometric realization of Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebras associated with Borcherds-Cartan data

We construct a geometric realization of the Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebra RR associated with a symmetric Borcherds-Cartan matrix A=(aij)i,j∈IA=(a_{ij})_{i,j\in I} via quiver varieties. As an application, if aii≠0a_{ii} \ne 0 for any i∈Ii\in I, we prove that there exists a 1-1 correspondence between Kashiwara's lower global basis (or Lusztig's canonical basis) of $U_\A^-(\g)$ (resp.\ $V_\A(λ)$) and the set of isomorphism classes of indecomposable projective graded modules over RR (resp.\ RλR^λ).

Let B(Λ)B(Λ) be a level ℓ\ell highest weight crystal of the quantum affine algebra Uq(An(1))U_q(A_n^{(1)}). We construct an explicit crystal isomorphism between the geometric realization $\gB(Λ)$ of the crystal B(Λ)B(Λ) using quiver varieties and the path realization Pad(Λ)\mathcal{P}^{\rm ad}(Λ) arising from the adjoint crystal $\Bad{\ell}$ of level ℓ\ell.

Irreducible Modules over Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier Algebras of type AnA_n and Semistandard Tableaux

Using combinatorics of Young tableaux, we give an explicit construction of irreducible graded modules over Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebras RR and their cyclotomic quotients RλR^λ of type AnA_{n}. Our construction is compatible with crystal structure. Let B(∞){\mathbf B}(\infty) and B(λ){\mathbf B}(λ) be the $U_q(\slm_{n+1})$-crystal consisting of marginally large tableaux and semistandard tableaux of shape λλ, respectively. On the other hand, let B(∞){\mathfrak B}(\infty) and B(λ){\mathfrak B}(λ) be the $U_q(\slm_{n+1})$-crystals consisting of isomorphism classes of irreducible graded RR-modules and RλR^λ-modules, respectively. We show that there exist explicit crystal isomorphisms Φ∞:B(∞)⟶∼B(∞)Φ_{\infty}: {\mathbf B}(\infty) \overset{\sim} \longrightarrow {\mathfrak B}(\infty) and Φλ:B(λ)⟶∼B(λ)Φ_λ: {\mathbf B}(λ) \overset{\sim} \longrightarrow {\mathfrak B}(λ).

Let B(Λ0)B(Λ_0) be the level 1 highest weight crystal of the quantum affine algebra Uq(An(1))U_q(A_n^{(1)}). We construct an explicit crystal isomorphism between the geometric realization B(Λ0)\mathbb{B}(Λ_0) of B(Λ0)B(Λ_0) via quiver varieties and the path realization Pad(Λ0){\mathcal P}^{\rm ad}(Λ_0) of B(Λ0)B(Λ_0) arising from the adjoint crystal $\adjoint$.
